Cat Sitting in Mombasiglio

Edith was an absolute pleasure to host. In advance of the house sit, we exchanged WhatsApp messages. She was responsive and super flexible when we asked to amend the dates to arrive a day earlier then planned which we really appreciated. Edith arrived on time, together with her wonderful travel campanion Bernie and we immediately warmed to them both. They asked lots of questions genuinely interested in our two cats and we received daily updates with photos which was great and reassuring. Upon our return home, we noticed how spotless the house was. Both the beds were stripped and the towels gathered. The floors were hoovered. There was fresh scones and some homemade soup in the fridge. And above all else, our two cats were comfortable, well fed and obviously well looked after. Thank you Edith and Bernie for being two of the nicest HouseSitters we’ve had the pleasure of hosting. We couldn’t recommend you both highly enough and you will be welcome back to Kilcorney at any time. You are both wonderful ambassadors for everything that is great about zeewoi.

I recommend Cristian without hesitation, we got a sweet photo of our boy every day of our trip and came home to an immaculate apartment.

Joanna was amazing. This was my first experience with a housesitter and she has set the bar very high. My hot water heater went out just before I left for vacation and Johanna not only had had no hot water for a couple of days but dealt with the people who fixed the water heater. She was so flexible and accommodating. She is also very communicative and organized and clean and is a wonderful pet sitter and housesitter. I hope I get to use her services again. I’m afraid my cat will miss her when she leaves. Thank you, Joanna.

We have just been away for over two weeks and Suellen and Joel have been the perfect sitters for our cat Coco. Not only did they leave the house immaculately, they also left some thoughtful gifts for us that made coming home even better. The fish looked happy and Coco seemed unstressed and pleased to see us. We would really like to recommend these good communicators and reliable house sitters.

Linda kindly looked after my furry girl whilst I was away. I came back to a relaxed and happy kitty who was on her catsitter's bed upon arrival and only got up when I called her name! My home was also left in very good condition, and am therefore more than happy to leave a well-deserved five-star review.

Jéremie and his family were delightful. They looked after my two dogs well. The house was left clean and tidy.

Massimo was a wonderful pet sitter! He clearly adores cats and ours felt super comfortable with him from the beginning. He is thoughtful, kind, and clear. Would recommend to anyone!

Some pet parents may be looking for the merest assistance - food in a bowl and a little attention for their pets here and there. That bare minimum is what you will receive with this couple. If that is good enough for you, then great. If not, you should understand that they are not suited to care for your home, and more importantly, your beloved companions. We were quite baffled by how underwhelming these two cared for our pets and our home. Teddy and Bear were fed, yes, but the particulars which were clearly stated in our initial video conversation, and are further detailed in the manual, were quite obviously not followed. Having grown up with dogs for 20 years and had the pleasure of cats as pets/companions for more than 25 years, it was quite obvious by their behavior (particularly Teddy’s) that the care we had requested of them was overlooked. The “plant person” in Lucinda was definitely not present either. We had left clear (in pictures and text messages) which of the plants needed care over the week. Random plants we had NOT requested to be watered or cared for had been (leading to overwatering) and others we had requested were completely neglected, some of which died (a few on our balcony). The respect of our kitchen was completely absent. We were quite taken aback to find dirty dishes, bowls, and glassware put right back in the cupboards, unwashed, stained, littered with food, wine, drink, even lip residue, as if they had been rinsed with water and just thrown back in. It would be impossible to have put them away in such a condition without completely neglecting soap and a dish sponge. It was really, pretty nasty. Throughout our time away, we asked how things were going and from the beginning tried to give reminders about the particularities (because they were late on arrival and we could not see them before we had to leave) to which we were constantly responded to with “I know.” They clearly did not know, or did not care, and used our home like a bachelor pad, trying to clear things up at the last minute, as if we had no awareness of, or insight into, our own home, pets, or plants.

Carroll was very reliable and extremely responsive. She took care of our dog and also made sure to follow directions regarding our home— i.e. being there to let landscaper into the yard, watering plants, taking out garbage. She also left a very thoughtful gift for our daughter. Thank you, Carroll!

Natali & Amit did a very good job and my cats have been treated very well. I have found them in good health and quite happy. Also the apartment was in good conditions and nothing bad did happen. Very a minor point: they could have used the vacuum a little more, but by no mean the apartment was dirty.
