Loving Mother + Daughter
Elizabeth and Norea arrived the night before we left on our trip and I knew immediately that they were a perfect fit for sitting at our rural, alternative home. We have 2 old indoor cats, Bert and Benny, an older dog, Abby, our wild child dog, Rosita, 3 aging hens and an aquarium. Norea fell in love with the cats and looked after cleaning the litter box daily, making sure that Benny had his meds each morning and insured that both cats received a surplus of love and attention. Abby, our older dog is a sweetheart and is easy to love. Rosita is also a sweet girl, but has enough energy for 5 dogs. She can be a challenge, but Elizabeth handled her with patience and consistency. I think Elizabeth's morning walks around the property with the dogs were a highlight. The chickens and fish had no complaints about their care. We cleaned our house before Elizabeth and Norea arrived, and it looked better when we returned from our trip, tidy and spotless. Elizabeth and Norea, a mom and daughter team, are caring, gentle, and trustworthy. I'm privileged to have met them and hope that they can return to watch our home.

Loving pet sitter and reliable house sitter!
Kinsey stayed with our 2 cats and home for almost a month. She is an excellent communicator and checked in with us before our trip about how often we wanted updates about our cats and our home. Within a day of departure, we received pictures of our cats warming up to her :) Kinsey is organized, responsible and very clean. She is so thoughtful too! We arrived home to a lovely note and some very sweet homecoming goodies. Most importantly, our apartment was clean and our cats were happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Kinsey for your next housesit! She is awesome!

Experienced, confident, and caring animal lover ❤️
Carrie was simply lovely! Both dogs obviously adored her right from the start and they were so relaxed and happy when we returned. We were only sad that Carrie was booked for just a weekend as she was a wonderful house sitter. Our house looked immaculate and the dogs had been taken for lovely walks, even though the weather had been atrocious. We really enjoyed meeting her and hope when she is next in the UK she will come and see us. We could not recommend Carrie more highly to look after your animals and house.

Ship-shape, Pawsitive Stay
Jess and Parker took care of our golden retriever, Max over Thanksgiving. They took great care of both him and the house. Jess was a great communicator leading up to the sit. Parker took Max for long runs and even took him to the beach! The house was just as clean (if not cleaner) than how we left it. Max was happy and tired when we came home!

Mature, self-employed, remote workers that love caring for all animals.
Nothing but rave reviews for Gail and Trevor. We were away for 5.5 weeks and never had to worry about a thing. Gail and Trevor took care of things that we weren't even aware of until we got home - which is the kind of dog sitter we can really appreciate. They took great care of our pups and fantastic care of our home. We are slight clean-freaks so coming home to a clean house is important to us. We came home to an immaculate house along with little extras like a bottle of wine and a snack prepared for us after a very long travel day. We could not recommend Gail and Trevor more highly!

Too transient for pets of my own! Can’t wait to love yours!
Hank is a total delight and they took such great care of our kitties! They were generous with their time and came over to meet us before we left, and made sure to text us consistently with pics of our kits. We came back to a clean home and very happy cats! We would highly recommend Hank and are so grateful for their care!

Industrious & Responsible Couple
Diana and Stan were excellent sitters. Friendly and easy going, they took very good care of the dogs. The garden was kept in good shape, and Stan was always ready to give a helping hand, whatever the problem I hope to see them again soon. Next time I will be stricter and I will forbid Diana to spoil the dogs as she did..! Heartily recommended.
Seàn was an amazing pet and house sitter! He was super communicative and took amazing care of my dog Nala and cat Bruce. They were happy and loved while I was away- I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for the two little fur babies! He sent great pictures and checked in every day so I had nothing to worry about. On top of all that, he also kept my place immaculately clean and left my place in wonderful shape. We can’t wait to have him back to sit and I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a sitter!
I feel that Julia is simply the best person and pet sitter I could ask for. They really cared for our cat and gave him lots of attention. She is flexible, upbeat, reliable, considerate and great at communicating. I highly recommend Julia and Chris.
The best cat sitters ever! They loved our cats and spent so much time playing with them and making sure they were happy! We had photos and videos every day with funny little messages and we came home to two very happy, healthy cats. The house was spotless and they even washed the linen and towels! They left us some cute Easter presents and breakfast shopping in the fridge, as we were returning after a long flight. We would definitely recommend Michael and Jeanne to anyone and hope they will come back to Teignmouth in the near future. Thanks very much for looking after our beautiful cats and our home x
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Laura came across the country to sit for us. She arrived a day early and from the moment my pets met her our Lokie was smitten. We have one shy cat Luna and she was out and about on the first night. Laura kept us updated and shared her Adventures as well. We do live in a small hideaway of a town so seeing that she was able to enjoy herself was nice. We returned to a clean home, laundry done also, and very content pets. Lokie was sad for a few days as he missed his friend. We would recommend Laura as a sitter to anyone and would have her back again. 5 plus stars. ⭐
Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Your fur babies would be lucky to spend time with her. Thank you again for everything, Ruthee!
Catherine was a wonderful sitter for our 17 year old cat Zabba. She sent us pictures twice a day and kept us informed about Zabba’s daily activities. We came home to a clean home and would definitely recommend her as a pet/ house sitter. My only concern was that she doesn’t drive and with an older cat, I just prayed that Zabba didn’t need to go to the vet…. And he didn’t 🥰. We will ask her again for sure.
If you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies and your house while you're away, Daniel is your guy! I had discovered zeewoi just a couple of weeks before I was to leave on vacation and I was not only apprehensive if the website was too good to be true, but also under a real time crunch. I reached out to over 100 local sitters and several possibilities fell through. I was confident I would find the right sitter and when Daniel applied for the sit and I started to text and converse with him, I knew I had found the perfect sitter for my two cats! Daniel was upbeat and positive, articulate and personable, warm and caring, and he asked all the right questions about Lilly and Eli (I hadn't had the time to complete my Welcome Guide, yet!?!). I shared that I had an easy cat and problem cat -- Lilly, who is sweet, social and eats dry food, and Eli who is skittish, was periodically pooping outside the kitty litter box and was eating prescription canned food twice a day mixed with a probiotic and stool firmer. I asked if he thought he was up for the job and he happily said he was. Since he flew all the was from Chicago, I thought the least my husband and I could do was pick him up at the airport. When he arrived, he pulled out his notebook. He patiently walked with me as I reviewed kitty care, showed him around the house, and where he would be sleeping. He immediately picked up Lilly who was excited about meeting her new friend and Eli bugged out and down the stairs to the basement (his favorite hiding place!). We got Daniel connected to the internet, set him up at our dining room table and headed off to airport, leaving our house and kitties in the best of hands. Daniel wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and assured while we were away. He made sure to text with me every other day (he had asked my preference earlier), sent photos of Lilly being her cute self while Eli hid during the day although he gave me assurances that he was eating his food and using the litter box (there were a few accidents, but Daniel never complained about these additional duties). When we returned from our vacation, the house was also spotless and well cared for and Daniel had even washed the sheets for me! It is with utter happiness and complete confidence that I recommend Daniel as a fantastic Sitter. He is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and competent, and you can rest assured that both your house and sweet pets will be watched over and treated with TLC -- and will truly be in the best of hands while you are away!
Greetings Pet People, I am a bit late leaving my review for Kristine who is local to us and has taken care of our kitties Max and Luis a few times this year. After COVID-19 was announced in March, our travel plans came to an abrupt halt. We had to cancel a lot of trips we had planned but decided that it was safe to go camping a couple of times this summer. We called on Kristine as one of our favorite sitters on this site. We discussed safety protocols and agreed to cleaning that we would do to leave the house safe for her to enter. She shared protocols that she had taken with other homeowners and had sound processes to make us feel safe leaving our cats and our home in her care. She even purchased batteries for our automatic cat feeder when it failed to let one of our confused kitties to eat. Kristine is a smart, humorous and a thoughtful person. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your sit. She truly loves animals and taking care of your home. Highly recommended! Thanks Kristine!

I can not say enough about the no fear dog training program Something To Wag About offers. We have an 8 month old Australian Labradoodle who just completed an intense one month program. First of all the facilities are spotless. They include inside and outside training sessions. Second but most important are the trainers! Margaret and Giselle are professionals! Yet kind, friendly and so loving. My puppy would pull on her lease to get to the door and start her day. Each afternoon during pick up the ladies would let us know how she did that day and what to reenforce. The training included transfer sessions to teach us how to continue the training at home. Our doggie is our baby. The child we never had. So yes, we’re high maintenance. But all our needs were met and in fact they exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Something to Wag About for day care and training.
As a disclaimer, this is the first negative review I ever wrote. This is my third time taking my dog to Something To Wag About and he was petrified the moment we walked through the door. The poodle that arrived before myself pooped/peed on the floor and when I return to pick up my dog another pug did the same thing. Clearly all three dogs did not enjoy their time there. I brought my Newfoundland dog (160lbs) in for a full grooming and trim. It was noted he was not cooperative and therefore they did not perform any trimming which was the primary reason I brought him in. I was charged $200, the same price I paid several months ago for the entire service which included the haircut. When asked to a reduced rate, Demika one of the groomers refused. For reference, my dog was in there for 1.5hrs and essentially only got a bath and light dematting. Save your money and go somewhere else, your dog deserves better.
I have been taking my Ellie(teddy bear Sheltie) here after some bad experiences in Bangor &Brewer. Ellie has separation anxiety, the groomers at Something To Wag About have been working with Ellie to make grooming a better experience for her. They also gave us a list of things to do at home to help Ellie enjoy her grooms. I have recently lost two of my other dogs to porcupine attack, and when Ellie was in for her groom they were so patient and good to her as she's been through a lot. Today we brought our new puppy with Ellie and the staff were so patient with Loy as well. I honestly can't say enough good about these groomers. They really have been wonderful to my furry babies.
Our 60 lb Goldendoodle has been groomed by Something to Wag About 2x this summer. We’re so thankful for the groomers as they try to meet our wishes and keep Mac happy with the relatively short time he’s there. Honestly, Mac seems to love pedicures and hair stylists almost as much as his human mother/sisters- his groomer today said he constantly wagged his tail! This is a place we want to bring our dogs as long as possible!!! Thank you!! We’ll see you next summer and hopefully before.
Scheduled an appointment 45 days in advance only to be told 2 weeks before my appointment that the entire grooming staff was going to a conference and the next available appointment would be over 60 days out. Seems to me if your staff is gone you'd block those dates for appointments, also would have been nice to get some priority placement since this was clearly not my fault but nope. Bad customer service!! You can spin it any way you want, it's poor management and customer service. Dates should have been blocked! I hope other "newcomers" read your response and think twice before booking with you. Best of luck with your business treating people this way.
I set up an appointment really easily and got my English Bulldog in for a bath and nail trim on a short notice. She still smells all clean and she was really happy when I picked her up so I know they took care of her and gave her some lovin! Very affordable at 40.00 bucks. She even left with a cute little bandana.
I brought my rescue dog Shilo who is fearful of people and loud noises. Margaret was excellent during the evaluation meeting. Her experience was evident both in her questions and interaction with my dog, By the end of the meeting my dog was totally relaxed and interacting with Margaret. My goal is to provide the opportunity for my dog to gain confidence and trust to enjoy her best life. To see the change in a couple of months is terrific! She wants to go in with tail wagging. She is comfortable with all the staff. After appropriate introduction to other dogs, she enjoys pack walks and playtime. I am so pleased with her progress and would recommend Wag if you have a fearful dog.
Atmosphere was chaotic and unorganized. Little to no communication- very long wait for basic grooming on my pug. After 5 hours- they were finished and did not complete any nail trimming or grinding- unprofessional young lady says to me as she hands my pug back- “it was too difficult” ??? My dog was handed back to me covered in her own hair. They rushed her cleaning, barely brushed her, didn’t even bother to dry her off and brush off old hair post groom. I got a face full of dog hair in my mouth too. They groomed my dog for less then 20 minutes I’m sure- lied about attempting to grind her nails, put her in a room for 3 hours and didn’t even finish the job when they finally gave puppers back to me. Will never return. Very disappointed.
They did a great job with my small poodle. Will be using them again for grooming.
Just moved here, needed my puppy's nails trimmed, searched online, this pet spa came up amoungst others for walk- in trims. Since I needed to go to this area on my day off, figured I'd take a chance. Greeted by a cheerful person at front desk who said of course, bring her right in. Watched her take my baby into grooming area, and immediately make my Berner feel safe and comfortable enough to have her nails trimmed. She and her co-workers gave her lots of love and attention enough to distract her and trim her nails, (she won't even let ME touch her nails) I was very impressed by the way they were so gentle and genuine with her. Can definitely tell she is highly skilled and compassionate about what she does. She recommended her personal Veterinarian as I said I was looking for one in the area, and I was pleased enough with services to schedule a first grooming for my Berner with them. Highly recommend, looking forward to a wonderful relationship with this salon!! They also offer doggie day care, which I don't need right now, but I wouldn't hesitate to use if I was working in that area
