Throughout our trip, they sent us photos of Roka enjoying their company on long walks and relaxing with them during rainy days. Ghislain and Clementine are extremely kind to animals, personable, thoughtful, self-sufficient, and reliable. We truly felt like we struck gold having them watch Roka. We can tell Roka already misses them. It’s not every day you find such loving care, especially with the added charm of French! Don’t hesitate to have this wonderful couple look after your pets and home. They are amazing!

I have truly won the jackpot with Elena and Francesco. All the rave reviews about this amazing couple is well, well deserved. It was my first time on TH as well as my first time being away from my pets for 2 and a half months so I was quite anxious to leave my home and babies to complete strangers. My concerns were totally invalid! My pets warmed up to them almost immediately! They cared for each one of them like their own, maybe even better than I do! My dog Guapo had a little hotspot that didn’t seem to go away right before they arrive and they tended to it until it was fully healed! My elder cat Lexi with a seasonal skin issue also was in the best fur condition when I came back. They truly cared for the pets just like it’s their own and it really shows. Even my house maid who comes once a week was truly smitten by them! What touched me the most was the home cooked food prepared for me in the fridge when I came back, the home necessities fully restocked which they didn’t have to, the little gifts for me, my pets and my house maid - and a little portrait of me and dog painted by Elena.

Both Hanna and Wojciech were fabulous from the first video call. Exceedingly diligent with keeping in touch throughout the first booking. They both spent a large amount of time staying with Zoey and making sure she was well taken care of. I came home to a very spoiled and happy dog. It was a pleasure to have them here. Thibault and Fabienne took care of our two kittens Sacha & Filou for 10 days. They did an excellent job of adjusting to their routine, i.e. feeding them, playing with them, overall ensuring that they were comfortable in our absence. They are a very friendly couple with a long experience in taking care of cats; as a result, we left the house without worrying about our babies.... we especially appreciated the great pictures of Sacha & Filou they sent us on a regular basis, the comments they provided on their behavior, always with a very subtle sense of humor. They created a relaxed atmosphere in the house that we appreciated greatly! We shared a dinner before leaving and upon return and it was a great moment to get to know each other. We do hope that they will accept to come back in the near future. They also took very good care of our house that we found spotless upon return! Highly recommended!

Some pet parents may be looking for the merest assistance - food in a bowl and a little attention for their pets here and there. That bare minimum is what you will receive with this couple. If that is good enough for you, then great. If not, you should understand that they are not suited to care for your home, and more importantly, your beloved companions. We were quite baffled by how underwhelming these two cared for our pets and our home. Teddy and Bear were fed, yes, but the particulars which were clearly stated in our initial video conversation, and are further detailed in the manual, were quite obviously not followed. Having grown up with dogs for 20 years and had the pleasure of cats as pets/companions for more than 25 years, it was quite obvious by their behavior (particularly Teddy’s) that the care we had requested of them was overlooked. The “plant person” in Lucinda was definitely not present either. We had left clear (in pictures and text messages) which of the plants needed care over the week. Random plants we had NOT requested to be watered or cared for had been (leading to overwatering) and others we had requested were completely neglected, some of which died (a few on our balcony). The respect of our kitchen was completely absent. We were quite taken aback to find dirty dishes, bowls, and glassware put right back in the cupboards, unwashed, stained, littered with food, wine, drink, even lip residue, as if they had been rinsed with water and just thrown back in. It would be impossible to have put them away in such a condition without completely neglecting soap and a dish sponge. It was really, pretty nasty. Throughout our time away, we asked how things were going and from the beginning tried to give reminders about the particularities (because they were late on arrival and we could not see them before we had to leave) to which we were constantly responded to with “I know.” They clearly did not know, or did not care, and used our home like a bachelor pad, trying to clear things up at the last minute, as if we had no awareness of, or insight into, our own home, pets, or plants.

I knew immediately during our introduction call that Ashley and Monica would be the best sitters for my home and cat for my 1 month travel. They indeed proved to be - sweet and kind, self sufficient and proactive, thoughtful and precise. I was in full trust and peace for the duration of my holidays, received some sweet portraits and updates of my kitty, and returned home to a clean house and a happy and active cat who had lost 300g as I had hoped for (I briefed Ashley and Monica for his vet proposed diet needs). I never met Joi because due to her work, she arrived after I left and was gone before I returned home. This wasn't a problem at all. She was very self-sufficient and seemed to find all that she needed in my house. The house looked exactly like I left it and my cat seemed very content when I returned. Apparently they had a nightly routine of Luna getting brushed. Joi is a very experienced sitter and it shows.

Susan and Miranda are amazing! I've had the pleasure of working with many sitters and they are truly exceptional. They were great at keeping in touch, sent lots of updates, asked good questions, really bonded with the cats, clearly very experienced working with animals and understanding their needs, and generally lovely to deal with. They were really patient putting up with a whole bunch of deliveries and even assembled a spare bed! They also left the place spotless with clean sheets on the bed. I'm pretty sure the cats loved Susan and Miranda more than us by the end of their stay! I'd highly recommend them to anyone and would love to have them stay again any time.

Sharon and Milton are two of the nicest people I've met in my life. This is my first time having a sitter fly in from out of state and it was so simple, stress-free, and didn't affect any part of me getting ready for my trip, leaving for my trip or returning from my trip. Sharon was very communicative before, during and after I returned. It just couldn't have been more wonderful! If you're considering applicants stop looking and choose Sharon and Milton. They are just delightfully wonderful wonderful people!! They go above and beyond just housesitting and pet sitting! Tidy, clean, respectful down to earth and the most kind and loving people. I do believe Milton really is a cat whisper!! They slept with my sweet babies, and even followed silly grooming instruction on one of my cats. Would have them sit for me absolutely anytime.

Toby and Chloe were one of the best house sitters we have ever had! As a small animal vet I have seen many types of pet sitters and these guys are top notch. Our pets are not easy either. We have special needs dogs, cats on medication, dogs with behavioral issues, horses, chickens, goats and a large (100 lb) Sulcata tortoise who needed close monitoring of the temperature in his barn. Everyone was thriving and happy when we came home. They read through the packet and asked thorough, thoughtful questions. They went above and beyond grooming, mucking and grazing the horses and goats everyday. They chopped greens and fruit daily for our tortoise. If we had known how amazing they were we would have booked a 3 week trip instead! Can't recommend them enough.

If Macie and Roman ever apply to your post for a house or pet sit, I strongly encourage you to jump at the. offer. You will not be disappointed. They are among the top (if not the top) sitter I've ever had and I've been on this site for years. Primarily, they are very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Macie and Roman kept me abreast of their plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk them through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Macie and Roman really care. When they got to my apartment after a very long morning of traveling, I explained the care instructions and they were very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Macie and Roman followed those exactly. Third, Macie and Roman make you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out of hiding very quickly and was snuggling with them and letting them hold him. It was so nice to see the pictures of them all bonding! Macie and Roman have a calming energy towards animals for sure! Macie and Roman were also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 30 minutes. I really appreciated that. Fourth, Roman and Macie will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Macie and Roman also respects your property. We had a room we asked them not to enter and they respected that. In short, Macie and Roman are amazing. I would have them back in a heartbeat.
