After getting let down at the 11th hour by a confirmed sitter, I reached out to Ian and Tracey who had saved my sit previously to see if they could help. Tracey responded very quickly and following a call the next day, we were able to confirm that she would do the sit alone. Tracey was extremely organised and communicative throughout and arrived first thing in the morning to ensure that the cats were not on their own for too long. She sent regular updates about the cats and the fact that they were more focused on getting in the garden when we returned home rather than having a fuss was a sign that they were very relaxed. We arrived back to a spotless house and milk in the fridge for a cup of tea after our journey. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Tracey on this occasion however I hope in the future that she and Ian can be tempted to sit for us again. I have no hesitation in recommending Tracey to look after your home and pets.

We really feel like we landed on our feet having Kimberley and Dean look after our ‘little boy’ Huw. We were newbies to having a house/pet sitter, but Kimberley really held our hand taking the initiative to set up an early meeting and responding quickly to messages. Meeting early really set our minds to rest. At handover we agreed every other day updates on progress which included a photo and a couple of sentences and this really helped us to feel much more comfortable that Huw was being well looked after. It was clear throughout that Kimberley and Dean had considered our profile details, taking Huw to some of his favourite places and also on some new adventures too … including introducing him to a Hollywood star! Their experience with animals, but especially dogs, shows and this helped hugely in understanding Huw’s personality leading to him having a great time - when they left it was clear that he was upset that his new friends were heading off. Kimberley and Dean took great care of our house which was left immaculately clean. Thank you both so much for befriending and looking after Huw.

Newbie to Housesitting, but not to pets.
We had the pleasure of having Steve as our dog sitter for two weeks while we were on our belated honeymoon, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, Steve was absolutely fantastic. He cared for our three dogs—a Cockerpoo and two Great Danes—with incredible patience and dedication. One of our dogs took a little while to settle in, but Steve handled the situation with endless patience, ensuring that all our pets were comfortable and happy. He walked the dogs twice daily, which was no small feat given their size and energy levels, but he managed it all with ease and professionalism. Not only did Steve take exceptional care of our dogs, but he also left our house in immaculate condition. We were consistently updated throughout our time away, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our trip knowing our dogs were in safe hands. Steve is a genuinely nice guy, and we would not hesitate to use his services again. Thanks to him, our honeymoon was even more memorable, as we didn't have to worry about anything back home. We were so pleased we chose James & India for our first housesit. They are lovely people who are genuine animal lovers and we felt totally comfortable leaving our 2 nervous dogs with them. We received plenty of updates during our holiday and we could see the dogs were happy and being well looked after. We found James & India really easy going and super enthusiastic, it felt like we'd known them for years! We wouldn't hesitate to have them back.

Ellie, Major & Sean. Pet loving home-sitters!
From the moment we met Ellie and Sean we knew they were going to be very conscientious and caring whilst looking after our dogs . Major, their own dog came to stay also . He is a well trained , easy going dog who blended easily with ours . Ellie and Sean have strong attention to detail and gave us confidence that they could manage Cillas medication and both her and Douglas’s routine . The videos sent regularly and photos illustrated how content the dogs were and how they had bonded with Ellie and Sean. Our home was respected and cared for . All my house plants were healthy and they helped to store our large crop of apples. We do hope to see Ellie and Sean again and think they are great house sitters !

Seàn was an amazing pet and house sitter! He was super communicative and took amazing care of my dog Nala and cat Bruce. They were happy and loved while I was away- I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for the two little fur babies! He sent great pictures and checked in every day so I had nothing to worry about. On top of all that, he also kept my place immaculately clean and left my place in wonderful shape. Toby and Chloe were amazing pet sitters. It wasn’t the easiest sit - a nervous dog and 3 cats with various ailments and medication to have, but they took it all in their stride and cared for them so well without any issues. Our nervous dog Zelda warmed to them in just 2 days which is a record for house sitters so far! I also really enjoyed getting to know them over dinner the night before I left, they’re very easygoing and positive people. They also left the house spotless for when I came back. I would love to have them sit for us again. You can rest assured your house and animals are in safe hands with this lovely pair!

I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.

Becca was fantastic - we cannot say enough about how great she is as a pet and house sitter and as a human being! Becca committed to the sit 8 months in advance and was great with her responsiveness in communication during the long lead up to the sit. She arrived early and got the low downs on the animals and house stuff prior to us leaving. She woke up crazy early to help us get to the airport and picked us up when we returned, which made the traveling so much easier on our end. She left the house spot-less (and this is no exaggeration), with the linens cleaned, and a wonderful meal waiting for us upon our return. She is an absolute gem of a person with a great sense of humor and a kind and compassionate nature, and she really enjoys the animals in her care. Our dog and cat were very well cared for and totally at ease upon our return. If you are lucky enough to have Becca sit for you, you will be very pleased at how well she does the job!

Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.

Oh wow! Everyone should be so lucky to have Nicholas and Veerle watch their house and pets. These lovely people are pros! They communicated early and often, were super accommodating to some last minute changes (it was originally going to be only our cats to watch but we decided to keep the dog home as well so that added to the schedule and care needs) and they left the house spotless and all set up for another sitter who came in after them. We didn’t get the chance to meet because my departure and arrival times but I dearly hope I get to in the future because they were just great! I even heard how nice they were from My neighbors who say them out walking our dog. :-) They also sent regular pictures of the pets which look like pro-photography! Cannot recommend this couple enough! Your pets and house will be in good hands!

Amazing sitters - I feel so fortunate to have had them stay. Chapeau was treated to daily walks and belly rubs, and my cat Tica was overflowing with contentment from having been taken care of so well. The house was cleaner than I left it and I was treated to a nice note and a lovely candle upon my return. Also, they left a checklist of item that they had done while here. Truly above and beyond!

We genuinely cannot express how pleased we are to have found Ellie. Our dog, Ted, had a very challenging start to life before we rescued him at 9 months old. He had severe behavioural issues and we were referred to a behaviourist for help. He came on leaps and bounds, but we know that he will always be a bit different to other dogs and need to be looked after with extra care. When we booked a holiday we were dreading trying to figure out what we would do with Ted, so much so, that I didn’t want to go. Kennels were never an option as he simply wouldn’t cope; he is very frightened of men, needs a lot of reassurance and would hate the noisy environment. When we found Ellie it was the biggest relief. She visited our home and spent a lot of time chatting with us to understand Ted’s needs, and Ted seemed to feel at ease with her right away (he is a good judge of character!). We are very specific in that we are positive reinforcement / force free only with Ted, meaning we don’t ‘correct’ his behaviour, don’t shout at him, hit him, or use any harmful methods. He is rewarded with treats for good behaviour and we like to ensure all his needs are met with good sniffy walks, licki mats, kongs, chews etc. I was worried that a dog sitter would struggle to get on board with this, but Ellie was brilliant. She listened to Ted’s story and understood why we were so keen that he never experienced shouting/hitting/telling off again. We could tell from her calm voice and gentle nature that she was a perfect fit for Ted. When we went away Ellie was fantastic at keeping in touch, sending regular videos and pictures of Ted and letting us know how he was getting on. She didn’t hesitate to ask us questions if she was unsure about anything and stuck exactly to Ted’s normal routine. She knew exactly how to prevent issues from arising with Ted and didn’t put him in any situations where there could be a problem, which we were very pleased about. For example, we told Ellie that Ted is very nervous of men and will bark at them, so if they saw a man on their walks she would cross the road with Ted to create some space and help him feel safe. We would also like to note that Ellie was extremely professional and honest with us when one of her own pets fell poorly whilst she was looking after Ted. She had to nip to the vets a couple of times but always ensured that Ted was not left alone for too long and kept us fully in the loop with everything. I’m not sure that I would have been able to carry on with my job and stay as professional and calm as Ellie did if Ted got poorly whilst I was at work, so we are incredibly grateful that Ellie kept caring for Ted in the amazing way she did whilst going through such a difficult time herself. Ellie was incredibly respectful of our home, so much so that I’m pretty sure that she left it cleaner and tidier than when we left! We arrived home to a clean house and a very happy little Ted who was feeling quite sad to see his new best friend go home. Our neighbours even stopped us the day after we got home to comment how happy Ted had looked whilst we were away, and to say that they had heard Ellie and Ted playing in the garden and thought she was brilliant with him. Ellie literally felt like part of the family by the time she left us, and we will absolutely be asking her to come and care for Ted again. Finding someone with proper knowledge, passion and care for animals is rare. We are so glad that Ted gets to have Ellie as part of his life ❤️

We had a great experience with Floofs and Friends! The service was both professional and friendly. They really understood our pets’ needs and even shared some helpful tips. Our pets are not the easiest to care for, but Ellie was patient, understanding, and made sure we felt confident that they were in safe hands. Kelly quickly bonded with our reactive rescue dog, Alfie, through a number of 121 walks and getting-to-know-you sessions and then undertook a dog sitting weekend for us which went very well. Kelly is very patient and understanding around new dogs that she meets and soon became firm friends with Alfie. She also looked after our chickens while we were away too!! Ellie has been absolutely brilliant with our dogs. She was especially patient with our slightly nervy, reluctant walker. She soon managed to get her out without hesitation, demonstrating an excellent awareness of how to handle the situation calmly and effectively. Ellie is flexible and reliable too, and communicates really well with us about planned appointments.

What a find….. I was needing to find a dog sitter quite quickly but knew that if it wasn’t the right person I would not leave my dogs… I emailed a few places and Ellie @ Floofsandfriends got back to me pretty quickly. She was informative and reassuring, I then met Kelly who was going to be the sitter… Really the whole process from when I first contacted Ellie to then meeting Kelly, to then her staying and looking after my boys, I can honestly say what a lovely service….
