Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!
"A relaxing and long time away from home made possible by the best pet & house sitters we could have asked for!" Judy and Steph went the extra mile over their entire one month stay at our home. Both our cats became fast friends thanks to the care and dedication provided for them. We were routinely updated with spectacular photos of our furry girls throughout our leave that helped us be anxiety-free the entire time. Even our older shy cat spent time sleeping on their laps or hanging out on shoulders. As for the house, Judy and Steph left it even cleaner than when they arrived! We had a few tasks to maintain the lawn and potted plants outside, which were completed perfectly. They even tended to our vegetable garden where needed! During a 'risk of severe hail storm' alert, Judy and Steph kept us in the loop and went even further to place potted plants under shelter out of harms way. In summary, we recommend Judy and Steph and would happily have them return again if our schedules cross paths.
I never met Joi because due to her work, she arrived after I left and was gone before I returned home. This wasn't a problem at all. She was very self-sufficient and seemed to find all that she needed in my house. The house looked exactly like I left it and my cat seemed very content when I returned. Apparently they had a nightly routine of Luna getting brushed. Joi is a very experienced sitter and it shows.
We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
Elisabeth was an excellent sitter for our cat. We were away for two weeks and received daily photos and notes from her about Catman's activities (i.e., sleeping and eating). She is definitely a cat lover and that was evident from our cat's calm behavior when we returned.
Kimberly was a wonderful sitter who watched our two cats for us while we were out. She was willing to come a day early to help acclimate herself with the animals, and this was exceedingly helpful in making sure the cats would be comfortable with her during our absence. I would highly recommend Kimberly if you're looking for a responsible, caring sitter.
If you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies and your house while you're away, Daniel is your guy! I had discovered zeewoi just a couple of weeks before I was to leave on vacation and I was not only apprehensive if the website was too good to be true, but also under a real time crunch. I reached out to over 100 local sitters and several possibilities fell through. I was confident I would find the right sitter and when Daniel applied for the sit and I started to text and converse with him, I knew I had found the perfect sitter for my two cats! Daniel was upbeat and positive, articulate and personable, warm and caring, and he asked all the right questions about Lilly and Eli (I hadn't had the time to complete my Welcome Guide, yet!?!). I shared that I had an easy cat and problem cat -- Lilly, who is sweet, social and eats dry food, and Eli who is skittish, was periodically pooping outside the kitty litter box and was eating prescription canned food twice a day mixed with a probiotic and stool firmer. I asked if he thought he was up for the job and he happily said he was. Since he flew all the was from Chicago, I thought the least my husband and I could do was pick him up at the airport. When he arrived, he pulled out his notebook. He patiently walked with me as I reviewed kitty care, showed him around the house, and where he would be sleeping. He immediately picked up Lilly who was excited about meeting her new friend and Eli bugged out and down the stairs to the basement (his favorite hiding place!). We got Daniel connected to the internet, set him up at our dining room table and headed off to airport, leaving our house and kitties in the best of hands. Daniel wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and assured while we were away. He made sure to text with me every other day (he had asked my preference earlier), sent photos of Lilly being her cute self while Eli hid during the day although he gave me assurances that he was eating his food and using the litter box (there were a few accidents, but Daniel never complained about these additional duties). When we returned from our vacation, the house was also spotless and well cared for and Daniel had even washed the sheets for me! It is with utter happiness and complete confidence that I recommend Daniel as a fantastic Sitter. He is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and competent, and you can rest assured that both your house and sweet pets will be watched over and treated with TLC -- and will truly be in the best of hands while you are away!
Tracy was an ideal pet sitter when we left for 12 days. She was communicative, friendly, and most importantly took perfect care of our two cats and our house. I would highly recommend her for any sit!
Jinnie was an excellent house sitter for me and my cat Felix. Completely responsible and reliable and helpfully flexible. She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. House was clean and organized on my return, and, more importantly, my cat was calm and relaxed on my return. I would happily have Jinnie come sit for me and Felix again.
Greetings Pet People, I am a bit late leaving my review for Kristine who is local to us and has taken care of our kitties Max and Luis a few times this year. After COVID-19 was announced in March, our travel plans came to an abrupt halt. We had to cancel a lot of trips we had planned but decided that it was safe to go camping a couple of times this summer. We called on Kristine as one of our favorite sitters on this site. We discussed safety protocols and agreed to cleaning that we would do to leave the house safe for her to enter. She shared protocols that she had taken with other homeowners and had sound processes to make us feel safe leaving our cats and our home in her care. She even purchased batteries for our automatic cat feeder when it failed to let one of our confused kitties to eat. Kristine is a smart, humorous and a thoughtful person. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your sit. She truly loves animals and taking care of your home. Highly recommended! Thanks Kristine!

Our dogs have stayed here multiple times in the last few months and it has been life-changing for us. We used to have the most difficult time scheduling trips or planning to spend $$$ to board our dogs. Loa's Ark is affordable, convenient, and personal. They are incredibly easy to work with and our girls are always happy when we drop them off and pick them up. If you're local or planning a trip and need to board your dogs, this is THE PLACE.
This is a fantastic place for your pup to play and be safe while you’re hiking around the national park or other outdoor adventure spots. There was solid and clear communication the entire time. This family is very kind and it’s clear they care deeply for animals. The pricing is very reasonable. Our pup, Maple, had a great time on the farm; she came back to us completely exhausted and slept so well that night! Next time we are back, we will be using Loa’s Ark again.
This place was amazing!! We were nervous about leaving our Lab for his first time, but after meeting the family and seeing the facility, we had no reservations whatsoever. Extremely affordable, and they took great care of our dog! These nice people are so accommodating it made it easy!!!!!!! Can’t wait to head to the National Parks again, and will use their services every chance we get.
Fantastic experience! All of their animals are very well taken care of and the entire family is such a pleasure. Though we ended up picking our pup up after a few hours (due to a terrible experience at Capitol Reef “resort”), our girl was well taken care of. Their cow, Milkyway, is so cute and they let me feed her/him apples :). They have indoor and outdoor kennels so your fur kid gets to experience all the friends on the farm but remain safe and sound at night.
We called a total of three times over the course of two or three weeks to try and get a reservation to board our puppy for a few hours while we were at a funeral. We left voicemails and nobody ever called us back. We made the drive from AZ to UT not knowing if he was gonna have a place to stay. We tried going to the property and nobody was there, except for a kid who looked maybe 10 driving up in a truck, dropping off some dogs and driving away. I FINALLY manage to get ahold of somebody the day before the funeral (it sounded like the kid) to see if there was space for our puppy. I was told that if nobody was there when we dropped him off to just leave money on the counter and put him in any open kennel. Not exactly comforting for the most important thing to us. We get there to drop our puppy off, and of course nobody is there. Another family was there looking for someone like we were, but they must have given up because they drove away. We knocked on the door to the house and nobody was there. The door to the kennel was unlocked, so we brought our puppy in and put him in a kennel closest to the least miserable dog. The back door to the kennel was tied open — which didn’t leave a warm And fuzzy feeling in our gut. Nobody on the property, front door unlocked, back door wide open. If we weren’t so desperate we would have taken our puppy and left. We tucked the fee cash on the kennel. When we came back to pick him up — of course nobody was there, and our fee was left untouched, which means in the four hours we were gone, nobody had gone into the kennel and checked on the dogs. We left the money on the desk and left. Unreliable from start to finish. I was insanely anxious the entire time our puppy was there. The only reason I put two stars is because our puppy was still there when we got back.
Such a great family offering a great service! They looked after our beagle pup while we had an amazing day exploring capitol reef. She had a great day! Thanks again! Highly recommend!!!
I left my schnauzer there a month or so ago while we went to a reunion up at Fishlake. I haven't ever left her at a boarding facility before but I felt good about leaving her there. They have outdoor kennels where she hung out during the day, and then indoor ones for the night time. They keep all the dogs separate which I prefer cause my dog isn't very well socialized with other dogs (we are her second owners). She got walked and played with daily, and they left me some notes on how the days went. My dog managed to snap her leash, and they even sent us home with one to use instead. I'm really grateful that they took such good care of Zoey.
I was very disappointed in our experience with Loa's Ark and as a disclaimer can not attest to how they treat the animals they board because we were not able to confirm an appointment after a week of calling and actually visiting their business. We attempted to board our dog by setting up an appointment a week out but whoever answered the phone was unclear about rates and availability. After several more phone calls with similar results, we decided to drive an hour out to the facility where we could not find anyone to help us both at the boarding building and the neighboring house. We found it odd that the door was unlocked and we had access to all the dog kennels without anyone being there.
We are very satisfied and appreciative of the service we receive here boarding or two Corgi dogs
I dropped my dogs off at this facility last winter, and they were well taken care of while we visited Capitol Reef. Your fur baby will be safe here.
I first went to Color Country looking to foster to adopt another cat, I was looking to find a friend for my kitty at home. I couldn’t have gone to a better place! The staff here are so friendly and supportive. They provided everything I needed to take care of the cat while I was fostering. They were always available to chat on the phone about any issues/concerns I had while fostering too. Their support made the process so much easier for me, and today I officially adopted the cat I was fostering with them. I’m so happy to have welcomed her into my little family. Color Country’s space is beautiful and you could tell all their cats were well taken care of and happy, I’m sure that’s true for all the animals they care for. So whether you’re looking to board your pet, foster, or adopt- Color Country is the place to go!
What a wonderful place. We RV fulltime and I took my dirty dog there to use the self-bathe dog tub-great service! (no blow dryer but maybe in the future). Give more than the $20 donation if you can as it's worth it to have this service when no groomer is nearby. Nice staff, Thank you Erica.
They will truly go out of their way to help you and your furry friends! I had to urgently drive to Salt Lake and my dog was very anxious. I called to see if they would have any calming treats I could give her and they said to stop by. The second I got there I was greeted and helped immediately with all different options. They saved the day for sure!
Color Country Animal Welfare is a hidden gem! My wife and I stumbled upon this pet shelter during our cross-country journey. Despite driving an extra 1.3 hours from Interstate i-70, it was completely worth it. We found the most adorable kitten who now brings so much joy to our home. A huge thanks to Erika and the staff for their dedication to animal welfare. Highly recommend this shelter for those looking to give a loving home to a furry friend!
I highly recommend CCAW. They have always been so helpful and pleasant to work with. In the past both assisting with feeding stray kittens and boarding our dog. Now they offer grooming services and Lorelei did a great job on my schnauzer.
Our big dog had a great day at CCWA while we hiked in the park. Super convenient and very friendly staff. Nice to also have an option for extra walks.
CCAW helped me so generously when I tried to help out a stray cat in Torrey, giving me supplies and advice. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to adopt the cat as I live abroad but I still really appreciate their kindness and care.
We dropped our two large breed dogs off here so we could spend the day hiking in Capital Reef, and they were so well cared for here! They had their own kennel, and then access as they wanted it to the outside play area, with out without other dogs according to our instructions. Our more timid dog even warmed up to the staff by the end of the day! All the money you spend here goes into rescuing animals as well. It’s nonprofit. We highly recommend this place to anyone!
I left my recently-rescued, very attached and often-anxious golden retriever, Sadie, at CCAW while my friend and I spent a day exploring Capitol Reef. I had never boarded her anywhere and I was in awe of the facility and of the fine women who run it. They are clearly tuned into the animals they care for. Sadie had a good day and it's so reassuring to know I have a place I can bring her back to with full confidence that she'll not only be well cared for, but doted on.
Dropped our little guy off today while we explored Capitol reef. We had such peace of mind knowing he was having just as good of a time as we were. We would not hesitate to bring him back. And we loooooved that we could give him a bath before we started our long road trip back home. Definitely a great option for your pups when you wanna go hike and enjoy the scenery.
