Fun loving, energetic, adventurous & caring couple that love all animals
Phillipa and David were wonderful, loving and caring with our 6 fur babies. They all looked happy and healthy on our return. Communication was brilliant, we felt we could message any time for an update and we were kept well informed. When we got home Phillipa had a delicious vegan stew ready for us, which we were very grateful for 🙏 Our home was kept clean and tidy and David even did some gardening, keeping our garden looking beautiful. Thank you both so much, hopefully you will be seeing you again next time.

Looking forward to loving your pets & home as our own, so you can relax !
What can I say? Stella is The zeewoi's Angel. The animals absolutely love her. She keeps in contact while we are away and the house sparkles when we return. Thank you Stella, for looking after what is most precious,

Animal loving, experienced housesitter who is calm, practical and reliable
Mary looked after Shiva and Kali for a week and was everything we hoped for; plus, the cats loved her! She was helpful before she came, communicative while we were away and left the house (and cats) spotless for our return. Our two Burmese are demanding customers and report that they would love to see Mary again. Just purrfect; thank you Mary.

Friendly and trustworthy gal ready to care for pets and homes!
Sophie was bloody brilliant from start to finish. Great communication. Sophie provided regular updates about our pup and was very self sufficient. Left our place in the exact same condition that we left it and we can’t recommend her enough. Thanks again Sophie

Fit, retired couple with varied pet sitting experience
Sandra & Rick are fantastic pet sitters! They looked after Archie our ginger Tom for a week and he had the best of times. Their communication before, during and after the stay is exceptional leaving us relaxed to enjoy our hols. The house was spotless on our return and we (and Archie) will definitely invite them back. Couldn’t be happier!!

Time for a relaxing break away from home?
Selim has been a regular house sitter for us and we are always thrilled when he can sit for us. The animals love him and we know we are leaving them and the house in safe hands. Highly recommend and wish he could sit for us every time!

Experienced and reliable professional couple taking time out to travel.
Thank you Hans and Liz for the excellent care and consideration you gave in taking care of my cat , my house and my Garden . it was a pleasure to have you and wish you all the best looking for your ' forever home ! '
Pares is an experienced and quality sitter and we knew our cat Juniper (and a few plants) was well cared for. We received regular updates and photos which was really nice to have during our travels. While we missed Juniper, we could see that she enjoyed receiving cuddles and attention from Pares. Upon returning home, our flat was clean and tidy, and Juniper was very happy! Thank you for taking care of her!
Cung was a wonderful cat sitter and housesitter and we would happily invite him back again. He was excellent with our cats and sent plenty of photos, and also left the house impeccably clean. We had to come back a day early and so we got to spend some time with him which we enjoyed as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!
I never met Joi because due to her work, she arrived after I left and was gone before I returned home. This wasn't a problem at all. She was very self-sufficient and seemed to find all that she needed in my house. The house looked exactly like I left it and my cat seemed very content when I returned. Apparently they had a nightly routine of Luna getting brushed. Joi is a very experienced sitter and it shows.
Elisabeth was an excellent sitter for our cat. We were away for two weeks and received daily photos and notes from her about Catman's activities (i.e., sleeping and eating). She is definitely a cat lover and that was evident from our cat's calm behavior when we returned.
Lindsey was super communicative, friendly, responsible, and an excellent sitter for our two cats. When we returned, our home was clean and our cats relaxed and happy as if we had never left ! She sent us photos and updates every day, as requested, and when a random mishap occurred in the apartment, she let us know right away and was proactive in handling issue. We felt like both our cats and our home were in very caring, capable and respectful hands. Excellent! Thank you Lindsey!
Angel was absolutely the best house sitter we could have hoped for. She is a very warm, open and diligent person and our two cats adored her. She looked after our house and garden with really conscientious care. She won over our very timid cat, Billie, and sent regular photos of both cats looking supremely content which gave us perfect peace of mind. The house was completely spotless on our return and the garden was fabulous... no mean feat since there was a heatwave while we were away and she kept everything watered and in great condition. We would have Angel back at the drop of a hat and cannot recommend her highly enough.
Windy & Dustin are some of my top go-tos! They are wonderful sitters who I can trust to take care of my cats and goats and love them like their own! They are so respectful of my house and are always flexible with me when plans change last minute.
Florence is everything you want in a cat sitter! We have two cats that need a lot of human attention. One takes multiple medications twice a day and they both are used to eating on their own schedule and having people around so it is always very important to us to find a pet sitter that will be spending a lot of time in the apartment and that doesn't mind being very attentive. We were able to meet Florence before our trip and felt 100% confident that she would take great care of our cats. Florence is comfortable giving medication, she sent us photos and updates and left our apartment spotless. We were so happy that we had her come back the following week when we went away again for a short trip! We will definitely contact Florence again whenever we travel and hope that she is available!
My husband and I reached out to Toby & Chloe after reading their profile and impressive reviews only a week before our trip, since our scheduled sitter had to cancel at the last moment. They were very friendly and quick to respond to chat from the very beginning, and ended up exceeding our expectations during their two week stay. It was evident they had thoroughly read our Welcome Guide beforehand, as they arrived knowledgeable and prepared to care for our home and pets. They were very willing and happy to take the necessary time with us to walk through the house and meet our cats, as we got them acclimated with our daily routines and answered any questions. Shortly after we left, our city had a heat wave come through, and after immediately notifying us, Toby went beyond the call of duty and inspected our struggling AC unit to pinpoint the issue. As far as cat care is concerned, we have two seniors (who have more sensitive tummies) that can get irritated after a fur ball or swallowing anything out of the ordinary. When this occurred, Toby & Chloe stepped in and took wonderful care of our cat duo; softening their food and even cradling while hand-feeding them for extra comfort. We truly could not have asked for more affectionate and responsible sitters. We returned to a spotlessly clean home, happy cats, and well maintained plants and pool. (They even cleaned our dusty Kitchen pendant lighting, which requires a steady hand and is definitely a time-commitment …We felt like professional housecleaners had been there!) On our way back, Toby & Chloe stayed in communication with us to monitor our arrival time, allowing them to care for our cats until just before we got home. Overall, they are very reliable and trustworthy sitters whose genuine goal is to provide a top-quality sit, while maintaining your household and seamlessly transitioning to your pets daily schedule.
Super nice sitters and extremely flexible. Really enjoyed their company and I only regret that I was too frazzled to chat with them more and get to know them! Kept the house super clean, pets loved them. Dog especially. Had a little problem with my new kitten not meshing well with the older cats (which was not too surprising since cats can be territorial). Pennee was very patient and gave me constant updates and tips. And the older cat was much more calm when I came home. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home for free at Zeewoi.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $20 per visit, per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Zeewoi.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Zeewoi cat sitters for free, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Have used Debonair Dogs reguarly over the last 2 years. Debbie is always pleasant and is really good with my precious boys. The salon is kept clean and tidy and so is all the grooming equipment. I have had appointments at different times or the day and have seen the salon first thing in the morning and I've also been the last client of the day. Yes, later appointments there is dog hair bagged up from the days grooming as one would expect from a top groomer. I wouldn't take either of my dogs anywhere else.
First impressions when walking through the door is that the grooming parlour hasn't been cleaned in months. Surfaces were covered in thick dust, it smelt and there were piles of dog hair on the floor and a bin bag full of hair in the corner. The grooming table was dirty as were the grooming tools. If it hadn't been for the case that we desperately needed our dog to be groomed we would have walked straight out again and not left our dog to be clipped. On later inspection of my dog's coat it was very unevenly clipped and was not at all impressed. The owner though clearly very knowledgeable had a lecturing way of talking to you. Will NOT be returning again.
Deb' personifies the true meaning of love and care for our furbabies. Thank you for the friendship over many years.
As Tina Turner says simply the best. Alfie pulls on his lead to go in and see Debbie and loves sleeping on the sofa which he is not allowed in do at home.
Debbie is so brilliant with the dogs, I would trust her with anything.
Amazing, does my dogs nails so quickly yet expertly which is amazing as he hates having it done but she does it just wonderfully!
Absolutely lovely lady who knows her stuff about dogs. My buddy loves her ❤
Excellent service, it's always a really good cut.
Debbie is wonderful with all dogs. Go there.
Really good service and friendly would recommend
Vicky is a wonderful dog walker. From the moment I met her she was amazing with Bayley, gave him so much attention and listened to all his needs and took everything on board. Started walking him that same week and he was such a happy boy. He now sits every week waiting for Vicky to take him out! There is always pictures to see what he gets up to which is always lovely to see. He comes back clean every time and enjoys being able to socialise with the other furry friends he goes on the walks with. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Vicky has been an amazing find! She has done visits and walks with my two labradors for the last few months when I’ve had long work days. She is flexible and accommodating of my last minute requests and 100% an animal lover. Ludo and Shadow love their walks and visits from Vicky.
Victoria has started walking our 8 year old Labradoodle and 6 month old Cockapoo. They adore her and get some really great walks. Very reliable and flexible. Highly recommend!
We travelled from Shropshire with our very loved dog Barley as we didn't want her not to enjoy our holiday too, but knew there would be days not so dog friendly ie the safari. We'd never done this before where we had someone look after her whilst we were away with her, but Vicky squashed all our worries; Barley loved spending time at Muddy Paws. Vicky really helped us all enjoy our holidays and was flexible where she could be and can't recommend enough to anyone who wants a secure place that they can leave their fur baby. Thank you once again and will 100% be keeping your number stored for when we are down on holiday again 🥰
Vicky is a wonderful person and dog walker! Super accommodating, flexible and reliable. Her communication is spot on too. I really trust her to look after our dog and have no concerns leaving him in her care. Bertie comes back very happy, tired and well looked after!
Vicky has started walking my labrador. He seems to throughly enjoy his walks and I love getting little picture updates from Vicky to put my mind at ease that he is being properly looked after. Vicky has taken him on some lovely walks and he's always so happy when I come home after Vicky has visited him. Highly recommend Vicky!
Our dog Sonic had a amazing little holiday with Vicky!! We were nervous about leaving him however Vicky put our minds at rest and sent us daily updates, photos and videos 😍, amazing service from start to finish, highly recommend!! …
Vicky has been looking after Daisy since May. We liked her instantly and could tell that she liked animals. Daisy enjoys her visits and walks. Vicky has been very reliable and flexible when our needs have changed and responds quickly to our messages. I love seeing a photo of Daisy after Vicky’s visit: We are very happy to recommend Vicky to anyone needing their animal looked after.
Vicky is an absolute gem when it comes to pet sitting! She took care of my beloved Dolly with such warmth and attention that I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From regular walks to playtime and cuddles, Vicky ensured that Dolly felt right at home. What sets Vicky apart is her genuine love for animals, evident in the way she treated Dolly as if she were her own. Not only was she reliable and professional, but she also went above and beyond to accommodate Dolly's needs and quirks. I felt completely at ease knowing that Dolly was in Vicky's capable hands. I highly recommend Vicky to anyone in need of a caring and trustworthy dog sitter!
Very friendly and professional! I would highly recommend Vicky as our dog was very happy and comfortable with her 😊 …
Jessie is a wealth of knowledge and experience and delivered a superbly prepared CPD session for the vets and nurses at our vet practice. We would highly recommend her to any professionals looking to expand on their neonatal care knowledge, and any breeders/owners in need of expert assistance with their puppies or kittens
Jessie delivered a fantastic CPD for the vets and nurses (including myself) at the practice I work in, couldn’t be more pleased! Fantastic information, certainly opened my eyes to some gaps in my knowledge when it comes to neonates! Thanks Jessie
Jessie came to look after my diabetic cat Moomin whilst I was away. She handled the injections and the care of my beloved cat with sympathy and kindness. Since then Jessie has been back to look after my animals again. The house was left spotless. Jessie is a treasure. Her empathy with animals of all types and natures is second to none. Highly recommend her.
A brilliant First Aid course delivered by Jessie. Very informative, engaging with plenty of hands on experience. One of the best First Aid courses I have ever been on. 😊 Thank you Jessie, I know feel fully equipped to cater for any eventuality with my dogs. Thank you. …
Totally devoted professional working wonders with animals needing medical care. We feel absolutely confident leaving our cats and dogs in her care. Highly recommended
Jessie was absolutely amazing hand-rearing our singleton orphaned Labrador, she truly is one of a kind. She is very reliable, gives many regular updates (at all hours), is very knowledgeable and is extremely caring. We honestly don’t know what we would have done without her! Cannot recommend her enough.
Jessie’s love and support for animals was very evident when we first met her and hearing about her was an absolute godsend. Our 13 year old rehomed Sheltie had only been left with our family since adopting her when she was ten years old and we were naturally concerned to leave her whilst we attended a family wedding in Malta. Jessie was absolutely marvellous and sent us videos and photos whilst we were away. It was plainly evident that our dog was having a great time with her.She was brilliant and is obviously very well qualified to handle any situation that could arise. She went above and beyond what was expected of her. On our return our home was immaculate and Jessie had even stripped her bed and washed and dried her bedding. After the initial excitement of seeing us back home our dog went in search of her new friend Jessie. Jessie is reliable and trustworthy and we cannot stress enough our gratitude and admiration for her loving care of our dog. She fully deserves our 5Star rating. If in the future we would leave her again our first port of call will be Auntie jessie’s animal care. Brenda & Ian April2023
I attended Jessie's PetFirstAid course yesterday and learned so much! It was 4 quite intense hours, but broken up by practical sessions on bandaging and CPR. Jess's presentation was brilliant, with a good mix of powerpoint, demonstrations (thank you Ginny and all the fake dogs! :-)) and included a really comprehensive handout and the chance at the end to buy some first aid kits. Highly, highly recommend this course! Thanks Jessie! x
My dog has recently had a litter of 9 puppies, one of which unfortunately was born with cleft lip and palate. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve coped without Jessie’s help and advice during Rodney’s journey to get to where he is today. Nothing was too much trouble for Jessie and she was always there on the end of the phone when I needed her help and I know she’ll be there in Rodney’s future too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jessie in all aspects of animal care and would trust her implicitly. Thank you Jessie love Annie & Rodders xx
It's not easy to find someone reliable and experienced to care for your dog at the best of times but when you have 8 rescue dogs, including 2 with disabilities who need extra care, it's almost impossible. Almost! Jessie is the only person outside of our immediate family I would trust to care for our dogs. She is trustworthy, communicative and experienced which is such a huge peace of mind for someone who is anxious (and a little bit of a control freak) about my dogs care! Thank you so much Jessie, you are golden 🙂
Lily & Rosco say they loved Paws and Klaws when they rented out a field they had so so much fun esp Lily as she cannot be let off as her recall is so bad so she made the most of every second! Lily and Rosco absolutely recommend it as it’s enclosed and safe with fabric up so the dogs can’t see anything through the fence it has lots of agility equipment in it and water bowl and lots of tennis balls to chase they can’t plant it and will be returning as soon as possible they are both tired out and sleeping! (COLLIES)
If would come every day if I could ! Absolutely fantastic !!! I cannot recommend enough! I hired the pool and it was incredible. Spare towels, plenty of balls, shelter if needed, a net to get toys out of the water, a ladder for accessibility for humans and even doggy planks for them to get out of the water! Amazing quality for price ! We brought our 5 dogs for £20 and a 50 minute session. Alex was incredibly helpful too so thank you very much!! I’ve booked for next month already!
Though it’s been over a year, I still feel strongly about what happened during my dog’s stay, so I wanted to share my experience. I had booked my Giant Schnauzer into Paws and Claws for a three-week stay while I was due to travel to Australia. After just one day, however, I received a call from the kennel informing me that my dog had bitten a staff member’s finger, and they insisted I collect him immediately despite my travel plans. Their website promises that pets will be 'cuddled, stroked, warm, loved, played with, and kept in utmost comfort throughout their stay,' but in my case, it seemed they were unprepared to handle a breed like a Giant Schnauzer. My dog has a protective nature and can be anxious around unfamiliar people. I believe that, due to this lack of understanding, a staff member was bitten while trying to photograph him. If you have a dog with an anxious or protective temperament, I recommend seeking a kennel with experience handling similar breeds. This experience was both stressful and disappointing, and I would advise others to be cautious if they own dogs with similar needs.
Booked to use the secure field so my younger pup could have some off lead fun with my older dog. Great facilities, dogs had a blast and loved all the agility equipment.
Amazing place for you dog, we used their day care when we travelled to Yeovil, and we were welcome very warmly! It was a first for Snow, and she did not want to go back home! Very highly recommended!
Took my boy, and my friends dog to paws n klaws today, my first time not theirs. We had an absolute blast. The staff were so beyond kind and helpful. The dogs had the beat time and so did we the pool was the perfect temp aswell during the heat. We can't wait to come back 🙌 …
Jasper enjoys puppy play enormously and comes home exhausted. He has also made loads of friends. The staff are very friendly and happy to chat and help if any issues. Highly recommend 😁 …
What a setup and what an amazing bunch of people. Lulu LOVES doggy daycare. They pick her up drop her off and she has the best time with all her buddies.
Charlie loves it at Paws n Klaws - he is so excited when he arrives and doesn't want to leave. The staff are fantastic.
Friendly staff and the secure fields are well maintained
Garry our Border terrier just spent 3 nights here as a 7 month old puppy we were very apprehensive leaving him but we had nothing to worry about he came back happy and even smelling supper fresh and could see he was happy. We were greated my a happy gentleman who said Garry was getting plenty of attention from the staff many thanks for helping us last minute especially at such a busy time of year highly recommend this kennels
Don't feel listened to or reassured at all here. After having a conversation with the two owners I realised that they aren't very pleasant and tend to shift blame onto the customer (me) a lot. The first time my dog came back from these kennels he had a bad stomach bug for a week. This time round (I wouldn't have brought him back but had no choice at the time) I brought his own kibble and bowls from home and politely asked them to use them but they flatly refused to use the bowls. They must have taken offence because they said defensively "we are a modern kennels you know". They also blamed me for my dog's stomach bug, which might be fair enough (realistically I don't know where he got the bug from), but the whole conversation felt very blame-y and they really lacked the ability to take responsibility and just show sympathy and understanding. Something they did again and again in our conversation was "reverse victim and offender" to deflect blame off of themselves. Also, they told me that my choice in kibble is bad for my dog, saying the kibble pieces are too small for a big dog. We then both looked at the bag which said "for large breeds". Also looking around at their own kibble, they all have much smaller pieces than mine. Generally, from a business perspective, customers don't like being told that the choices they have made for their beloved pet are wrong, as if I hadn't put an enormous amount of research into my pet and have a degree in Zoology including canine science. Super condescending, and I left feeling wronged and undermined. Generally I felt very unheard, talked down to, and hurried out the door both times I visited. The man doesn't handle big dogs very well, which I have seen mentioned in a few other reviews. My dog also came back stinking of pee which is never a good sign, especially considering my dog is very clean and usually stays clear of his own pee and waste. Advise you skip on these kennels, and if they leave a response to this review just remember they tend to deflect blame on the customer instead of taking responsibility. The younger staff are really lovely however!
Have been using them for about 5 years, all the dogs that I have had have loved it there. There are very well looked after, nothing is too much trouble. My parents and other friends and relatives use them , would highly recommend. My current dog has been there about 10 times in the last 3 years and he loves it there.
I cannot recommend Merrymeet kennels highly enough. Ed and Elaine' s attention to detail is second to none. Albeit that my dog has stayed many times they always fully review everything from health to food to exercise each time he stays. They have always been welcoming. The only way we can enjoy a break away is if we are secure in the knowledge that our pet is well cared for. Ed and Elaine provide thst safety for us.
I have been using Merrymeet Kennels for many years now, mostly for Doggy Day Care & and the occasional holidays. My beloved pooch a very large German shepherd loves going to Doggy Day Care and adores Ed in particular !!!! But he happily trots off with all the staff with barely a backward glance. I always get annoyed when i see bad reviews , Ed and Elaine and staff work very hard , all year round. I have never doubted their professionalism and care towards my beloved dog. I can assure you I would not leave him there after all these years had I even doubted it for a second and he certainly would not go off so eagerly if he didn't enjoy it so much !!! I can go to work knowing he is safe and secure and YES, very well cared for.
#Response to owners Response# I contacted the male proprietor to discuss the lies they had written about our dog in their response. When challenged about the comments, they hung the phone up! I did try to call again but they wouldn't pickup the phone. That to me speaks volumes about the lies that this kennels have made up. In my view I would be very very careful about using these kennels! very disappointed in this kennels. Their dog handling skills are not very good specifically when it comes to large breeds who require confident and consistent handling; causing difficulties where there should be none. I have just read the owners response to my review on their kennels. I am absolutely disgusted that an owner of a business who has the care of other peoples very important animals should find it necessary to lie about their failure of care towards our dog. Our dog DID NOT bite one of their staff our dog did scratch the male owners hand due to his poor handling skills our dog was between 10 months and a year old and we instructed the owners how we wanted her to be handled with regards to jumping up. They chose to ignore this. As for the stating our dog is not trained this is nonsense it was the owners poor dog skills that caused this scratch. I am so angry at the lies that this establishment has posted that i will be taking it under legal advisement.
We have used Merrymeet for many years. Our dog goes in very happily, which to me, is an indicator of how well she's treated. On the whole, staff are friendly and seem very caring. My dog likes them, and they know who she is when we arrive. When we pick her up, she is always in the same condition we left her. I am unsure why others have left poor reviews. I am happy with the service.
I have used Merrymeets as a cattery for 5 years now with about 20 visits. My cat Panther has always been looked after in a beautiful manner and comes home calm and contented every time. She has obviously had some social time with the staff and she looks well groomed and fed. Nothing but total satisfaction. Highly recommended.
Extremely disappointed with recent return and state of our cockapoo. He has never smelt like that before and will not be using again. In response to owners reply... we had got stuck in the France due to bad weather and avalanches. Which we had notified them of plus coming home to family member being ill. The old man decided to come to my house and demand the money after explaining and as he says. 3 weeks for Just over a £100... must be have been tight for money. I paid immediately only because he had forced him self between myself and the front door after coming home late. I found this extremely distressing to be harassed in this manner especially in the dark . When we said we would pay when we could. We found a new kennels since and our dog comes back happy and smelling a lot cleaner than rolling around in his or another dogs feaces where he had probably been neglected for too long in those cold damp kennels! Behaviour and attitude of owners can be seen in response below! As mentioned Pathetic!
My dog has been staying at Merrymeet both for doggie day care and whilst we go on holiday for a number of years. He always seems very happy and the kennels always look spotlessly clean.
Had a 1 to 1 session with Steve for our 9 month puppy Otto. He gave us great confidence that we were doing the right things but just needed to go back to basics. Steve quite obviously has a great understanding of dogs and how to avoid/correct bad habits. Would definitely recommend.
What a fantastic service. Total heaven for our two terriers. They had the most wonderful walks and time with Steve. He is totally on top of his job and the dogs know it. They had the best walks ever. Highly recommend Steve, he is the best.
It was a real find when I came across Stephen from SG Canine Adventures, with a 7 month old full on staff pup, balancing his exercise demands and training needs with a demanding job was proving tricky. Since SG Canine Adventures have been taking him on his regular romps through the week, he is settled, content to sleep after his big runs and every day I get a lovely walk report sent to me so I can see where he’s been and what he’s been up to. Punctual, polite, security checked, great communication and above all else safety is at the forefront of everything they do. Highly recommend this business without hesitation.
It was great to find Stephen to replace our dog walker. He is confident walking the dogs off lead which is hard to find and provides excellent updates on the length of the walks and the happiness of the dogs. He has good availability and I would recommend him!
Stevens first session has already helped a lot with my challenging and reactive dog from working lines. Initially working on our bond and focus, learning to walk calmly on lead, with clear instructions. We are continuing with our “homework” and seeing improvement in other areas like reactivity as a result of this initial training. I’ll will be booking some more sessions in due course once we have the basics more established.
Rosie is extremely happy with her morning adventure. A happy dog needs all their senses satisfied and Canine Adventures certainly does that. Overnight stays and the drop in service is fantastic when life takes you away from home at short notice. Steve is honest reliable and really cares for our furry companions. Thank you for your great service.
Amazing! I am a vet nurse and often feel worried about leaving my animals with someone who may not know my pet that well especially when I have seen first hand how wrong this can go in my line of work! SG Canine Adventures has been brilliant and has totally put my mind at ease. He has been extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring with my dog Archer, has always provided me with detailed walk reports and has sent me some absolutely beautiful photos from his walk that I will be having printed and framed! Highly Highly recommend :)
Hugo has been having a great time on a long line walking with Stephen, his dog and recently with another youngster. i have complete confidence that my dog is safe and under control during the walk and would recommend Stephen to anyone who needs help with training or just exercising their dog.
Stephan took care of my dogs during my absence, and I am very satisfied with his services. The dogs were well-exercised, and I received detailed daily reports from their walks. Additionally, the dogs were always fed on time. What more could you ask for.I highly recommend him!
Cannot Thank Steve enough! SG Canines helped me with my 2 year old sprocker. She made walks very difficult with her constant pulling!! Scrapping her claws along the ground! Totally ruled our walks! This especially made dog walking very difficult as I was also walk my labrador at the same time. Walks were not fun at all!!!! After Minutes of being on her first training session with Steve she was a completely different Sprocker! I couldn't believe it! After every training session Steve sent me GPS Tracking of their walks. I continued on having a few more training session, where Steve was very knowledgeable and taught me how to have control over my pup instead of her having control over me! The difference is incredible. It's amazing the little things you learn just by asking for help! Steve I honestly cannot thank you enough! You've made walking my Pups so much more enjoyable. We are literally out hours now enjoying our strolls. Would 100% recommend SG Canine Thank You ☺️ for all the help
I recently had a chance to work with Branscombe Kennels & Cattery as one of our dogs is staying at the kennels as a long term resident (although it looks like he found his new home now). And I just want to say that I always found the kennels to be super clean and staff super polite and very friendly. I visited several times and had the chance to see the kennels, the outdoor space and the really handy large enclosed area where I could exercise the doggo without lead and give him some “free play” time. All spotlessly clean. I’d be very happy to leave my own dogs in their care if I ever need to. Nadyia and Steve are both genuine people and it’s always a pleasure to pop in and see them before going the see the doggo. 🐾
We would highly recommend. Good communication and very friendly. I needed a kennel at real late moment and I’m glad I selected this one. On arrival my little man was greeted straightaway and made us feel welcome. Thank you to all the staff for looking after my max.
It was a very great relief to find such a kind and relaxed kennels with staff who are used to sighthounds and are completely at ease with one very nervous and one very boisterous lurcher. Our dogs share a kennel while at Branscombe and are almost certainly as skittish (Scout) and barky (Mole) as they are at home, but the staff recognise that being a bit scared and being a bit too confident are often part and parcel of the personalities of rescue dogs. They are always greeted with kindness and treated very well by all the staff and return home healthy, happy and ready for a return to their sofas (even Branscombe cannot quite run to a sofa per dog, but they do provide beds!) You see all manner of dog turn up at Branscombe, Nadja and Steve are genuine animal lovers - of all kinds - and we never have any worries about leaving our dogs with them. The on-site dog groomer also appears completely bombproof when dealing with their claws and does a great job too. So: many thanks, five stars and see you next holiday!
Our sproker has come back with an infection on his tesicals he was also extremely dirty and smelly after just 2 nights this shows that it is probably not the most cleanly place unfortunately i would not recommend this and wont be returning.
My 2 dogs have been there from puppies. It's a real home from home, welcoming staff, clean kennels, owners fabulous. Always aim to be accomandating. Wish we could collect on a Sunday, but I appreciate why not.
My 6 cata stayed here whilst I was moving house. The cats were well.lpoked after the pens were all clean and tidy. My cats seemed happy when I collected them and looked well looked after. The owners were lovely and I felt like they cared.
Truly the best Kennels out there, Digit and Dolly absolutely love staying here and I wouldn’t want them to stay anywhere else definitely worth the hour drive to drop them off there, all staff so friendly and definitely dog people who take pride in their jobs
Our cocker spaniel stayed for 10 days while we were away. On picking him up he was as happy as when we left him no anxiety issues he was obviously very well looked giving us peace of mind. We highly recommend you. Thanks to all the team
We have been using these kennels for a few years now & can honestly say our dog charlie loves it, he cannot wait to get in there. Staff & owners go above & beyond to make his stay as happy & comfortable as they can. I would definitely recommend these wonderful kennels.
We’ve been taking our family dog Poppy, to Branscombe for 7 years now we’ve had no problems throughout. She always goes in as if it’s her second home. The staff always make a big fuss of her and are so attentive. There appears to big be such a happy atmosphere about the kennels. The kennels are very clean and your first impression on arrival is very welcoming.I would recommend to all.
My dog Blossom goes here 3 time a week daytime only. They are absolutely wonderful and my dog loves everyone who work there. They genuinely love the animals they look after. It was such a relief for me to leave my dog somewhere safe and well looked after while I'm at work. Highly recommend the Turnpike Kennels and Cattery.
Always a pleasure to deal with the team at Turnpike. Have used them for nearly 20 years now, first looking after our Lhasa Aphso dog and now our British Short-hair cat. Trial runs are always advised when you first start out to make sure your pet , gets used to the fact that your coming back and helps calm them for longer stays.
This kennels are so loving and genuinely care about your furry friends and make sure there okay and stick to whatever you say your furry friends diet is.
We have used this kennel several times now, and or cat & dog always come home healthy & well looked after. The staff act on any requests to make sure our pets are fine.
Would highly recommend the guys at turnpike. My 5 month old. Cockapoo absolutely enjoyed his time at the kennels. . The needs of the dogs are second to none . Clean kennels. Great. Owners . And they put your mind at ease . First time putting my dog in kennels. I didn’t need to worry. I would recommend. Turnpike to anyone .
My rottweiler stayed for first ever time in kennels when I collected her she was all smiles. She was well looked after. Update this would be my 4th time going to kennels, staff are great my girl was alittle bit apprehensive about going in so we took our time getting her into kennel, I didn't feel rushed and they made me feel at ease when I left her . Nobody really wants to leave there animals but when we do we want to make sure there in safe hands and not worry about a furry friends whilst away, they even spoke about options for making it alittle easier on her like coming for the day or entering from a different door, there amazing and would recommend to any of my friends. ❤️
Have given 5 stars now as the current owners are great, our two dogs aren't the biggest lovers of kennels but they always seem fine here and not overly anxious when dropped off. The small team of staff genuinely care about the animals under their care and I wouldn't take my boys anywhere else.
They looked after our dogs while we were away for a week. We felt the price was reasonable. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who met with us and our dogs to their enclosure. The place looked like it was kept very clean. Our dogs were extremely pleased to see us on their return, but looked like they had been well looked after. The staff members we encountered were polite and friendly, and very patient with us while we said goodbye to the dogs for a week. We are likely to use them again when we're travelling abroad in future.
Max had a wonderful first time at the kennels. They gave him his meds easily and he left wanting to go back when we popped him in the car! Owner is lovely and so are the lovely small team. Thoroughly relieved to find a safe happy place for our beloved pooch to stay in when mummy and daddy need their quality time.
My cat Sylvester has just had his first visit here for the August Bank Holiday weekend. It is a lovely place and he seemed to be very happy. Thank you very much for looking after him so well 😊 …
My partner made contact 3 weeks ago to book a trial for our beautifully well behaved 21 month, 29kg female Doberman. We were referred to the London office to schedule a trial date. He was informed that they were not accepting large breeds at this time. I had made contact again today to see if this was still the case and if they had availability. Unfortunately, after speaking to the London office I was told the owner has never accepted entry for 'guarding breeds', and that they're not covered by their insurance. Which is strange, when I first researched them I saw guarding breeds on their IG (attached). It's frustrating as you'd expect that a business that supposedly cares for animals would not condemn or have entry restrictions on dogs for any reason other than behavioural issues.
Fabulous place to take your pups! My dogs absolutely LOVE going to see Grace and Paul at Humphrey and Bo, they are so knowledgeable and amazing with them. Couldn’t ask for a better place for my dogs to stay. Thank you!
My boy is a nervous little thing, and needs a slow and careful introduction to new situations. Everyone at H&B took great care of him, and he now loves going there. We’ve even progressed to overnights. The environment is perfect, and staff very caring.
Amazing place, the grounds are wonderful with so much space for your doggies to roam and play , my dogs ( one of which can be nervous) had their third visit and they were so so happy , lovely staff , doggies had a great time , my nervous one was showering staff with kisses when I collected them ❤️ I had no worries when I left them, the most perfect place , highly recommend
My Masha, 6 months old, stayed at Humhrey&Bo one week. It was a great fun for her as I have been sent daily videos and photos. I will definitely use in the future again. Masha is lookin forward to see permanent guest Tia the Frenchie again. Big thanks to Mark.
Very friendly staff and amazing space for dogs to roam. Inside rooms for dogs are well equipped for all dogs taste and nice and warm.
Beautiful grounds, lots of play time and takes good care of dogs.
Amended review. Introductory trial which went well. Follow up with booking. Friendly helpful staff.
Fantastic place for dogs people that run this establishment are so professional and friendly. Highly recommend.
Very friendly staff who do not return emails.
Foggy has just returned from his wonderful Dorset holiday with Julie. He has had two lovely long walks every day and lots of attention - he returned fit and happy and we were able to relax on our holiday knowing that he was being well looked after all the time we were away. Foggy had a lovely space for his bed and we saw some super photos of him looking completely at home. Julie also sent us photos of Foggy out walking in the countryside with his new companions. We are so happy to have found Julie and family of Mucky Boots Dorset. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! Susie & Richard
Marlowe has been having holidays with Julie at Mucky Boots for the past two years. He loves his time with her as it involves long, interesting walks in the countryside or even sometimes at the beach. He also enjoys the company of Barney, Julie's dog and other friendly visitors. The frequent updates with photos of him having fun or just relaxing, reassure us that we're not the only ones on holiday! Julie's love and affection for her doggy visitors shines through. I'm so glad we found her!
Charlie stayed with Julie at Mucky Boots for a week. She had such a lovely time - a real holiday for her and the first time ever that I have been able to relax being away, knowing she was being so well looked after. The daily updates made me think she wouldn't want to come home! So nice for her to have company on walks with other lovely dogs. I would definitely recommend Mucky Boots for anyone looking for professional dog care in beautiful surroundings with someone who so obviously loves dogs.
Our lab retriever Oscar is always looked after superbly by Julie and her husband. They have a lovely comfortable environment for their doggie guests and Oscar comes back from his holiday fit, happy, content and exhausted. Julie cares deeply about every dog and her attention to their needs is wonderful. She also sends photos every couple of days showing your dog enjoying lovely Dorset walkies with furry friends. I can’t recommend Mucky Boots highly enough, we would be lost without them. Thank you Julie x
Such a lovely lady my dog loves it. Julie takes care to introduce dogs slowly and safely, they go on walks, play in the garden and have a happy time. Great she is local authority registered and insured too.
Bertie loves this place - I only have to say that Bertie is going on holiday to see Julie & Barney and he's at the car door without a backward look! He sends photos every other day on his walks with his doggie friends and comes home happy and exhausted. He would recommend Julie to everybody.
My JRT who has a few issues had a fantastic time here. Julie was wonderful she sent pictures during his day and I received a message afterwards to check on how he was once back home.
First time stay for Lenny and really happy with the introduction and communication during our holiday. He had a lovely time and so pleased we found Mucky Boots!
Our dogs can't wait to go there. Well cared for and well exercised
Fantastic service George loves his time out allways comes home cream crackerd.
I would suggest people avoid at all costs. The owner "looks after" your pets/family by leaving them alone to bark all day and or night long. Last time it was for over 4 hours. Constant barking. Clearly an animal in need. The RSPCA have been notified for neglect. I hope the full weight of the law is exacted. Edit: Mavis, I will not contact you privately. This has been going on for years. I moved to Tarrant Monkton in 2001. The dogs you "look after" were, and are frequently left outside in all weather whilst you used to go out to the pub, (before you fell out with the Landlady) or out in general. Leaving them to bark at all hours until you return to them. I would be livid if you treated my dog this way. You are lucky so many people have given you leeway this long for living in the village. Being woken up at all hours, the peace of the village broke consistently for no reason other than your lack of commitment to those pets. My review is factual and others will confirm this. If you don't want bad reviews, don't act in a bad manner. ****AVOID**** Second Edit: Geraldine, perhaps you should come down from your home two villages away sometime and experience it first hand. If you doubt myself, please feel free to knock on doors in Tarrant Launceston and or Tarrant Monkton to ask for others experiences. Experiences not opinions. Unfortunately your ignorance is not an excuse. It is common knowledge that you and others including Mavis don't support the local pub, or charity events. Also that you and Mavis host nights involving the early hours and alcohol. . The drama surrounding a select few in the Tarrants could pose a threat to most "reality" TV programmes. As I have stated previously, bad reviews come from bad experiences. Not fiction. This concludes my review permanently and any further reviews you, or Mavis' other friends post. Please note, your fake review(s) have been reported as misleading. Good day. ****AVOID****
What a shame this person has chosen to express his disgruntlement in such a personal, vindictive and misguided way. Mavis’s loyal clients know these claims to be untrue - her concern for the animals in her care is beyond question.
Mavis at Homestead Per Care has been lovingly looking after my “forever friends” for the past 15 years and I trust her explicitly. Be it for the odd day care whilst I’m working to weeks of boarding whilst I’m away, I’m absolutely confident that my dogs are being lovingly looked after. I could not recommend Mavis enough, both of my spaniels have adored her and can not wait to return!
Mavis has looked after our dogs for nearly 20 years and we are very grateful for the care she gives them.
Mavis has been expertly looking after my animals - dogs at Homestead and ducks at my home - for many years. I wouldn’t go to anyone else!
Mavis is great with our two dogs .thay really enjoy going to homestead
