Scott is a dream. Not only did he take great care of our cats and bearded dragon, but he was respectful, responsive, and extremely responsible. He even unboxed some perishables that arrived in the mail and put them in the fridge, as well as washing the sheets and making the bed up for us after his stay. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

Derek stayed at our house for 3 weeks and watched our kitties. He was AMAZING! Plenty of photos and videos on the regular. When we came home our house was sparkling clean - he even did the laundry! We would gladly welcome him back to our house for another sit, and you should too.

Responsible, experienced, & mature (40 yo) couple ready to care for your pets!
We had agreed to this pet sit months prior to their arrival. It was a 6 week stay. Jenny and Drew arrived less than 12 hours prior to my departure. I picked them up at the airport and took them to lunch at a seaside restaurant. I was so surprised that Jenny had not even read the "home owners manual" that this website provides. I sent the information a good month prior to their arrival. They were not prepared in my opinion or took the house sit very seriously. Nevertheless I had confidence in their abilities after spending time with them. When we arrived at the home I introduced them to my 2 doggies and got them acquainted with the home and area.. Upon my return (6 weeks later) there was missing food in the freezer, missing towels, and some broken items. The dogs seemed very happy and content and Jenny would let me know from time to time that the pets were fine. All in all they were good but I was disappointed in their lack of preparedness and the missing and broken items. I spoke to Jenny prior to writing this review in order to understand what took place while I was away. I was not completely satisfied with her replies. Most importantly my home and dogs were safe and sound. So I'm satisfied.

We were very happy with Steve and Susan's stay at our house caring for Indy. They sent us pictures and updates of Indy while they were caring for him. When we arrived home they had left the house cleaner than when we left. They were very reliable and punctual when meeting for their orientation. Kathleen was a fantastic sitter and Olive and Noodle miss her already. She was great about sending pictures and updates - never had to ask anything, she always beat us to it. She didn't assume anything that wasn't clearly stated - always asked us beforehand. She was great with our dogs - they immediately bonded with her and didn't want to leave her side. We really appreciated being able to go away and not worry about our pets' welfare, we knew immediately they were being so well taken care of. We hope to host Kathleen again soon!!

My dog had a medical emergency while in John’s care and I credit him with saving my pup’s life. You couldn’t ask for a better sitter in a pressure situation. She is kind, personable, organized, responsible communicative and more...She read all of our instructions before arriving and asked lots of questions about our pups to make sure she understood their personalities and schedules. You can tell she truly is a dog lover. Myria provided regular updates and we felt 100% confident leaving our dogs in her care. We came back to a home that was spotless - you could hardly tell she had been here. I'd highly recommend Myria as your next zeewoi!

If we could give 10 out of 5 stars for Candace, Brian, and Chris, we would! They were amazing house and dog sitters for Brown Dog and Scout. They were so accommodating with our timeline and had read our welcome guide to a tee! It was so reassuring being gone for 2 weeks and knowing our pups were in amazing hands. They sent us daily updates and pictures and it was clear the dogs were so well cared for! They left the house very clean and even had all of our bedding and towels washed for us when we arrived home. Would absolutely recommend them for a sit and would love to have them back again any time!

Hamsa was very quick to respond in all communication. She was prompt on her arrival and listened carefully to our detailed instructions about the house and dogs. While we were away the amount of communication between us was just right. When we arrived home the dogs were happy and the house was in order. A good sign that a dog sitter paid lots of attention to the pups is when we see a bit of depression set in after a dog sitter departs - this did occur after Hamsa left our home She is a very caring and nurturing individual.

We are very picky about our dog sitters, and we chose them because they have been doing this for a long time and track your wants and needs carefully and follow through with utmost care and integrity. They offered to come the day before we left to meet Winnie so that we could rest in that she would trust them and connect to them. Honestly, we would hire them as our only dog sitter all of the time if we could. I cannot thank them enough and say enough good things about them. They also took very good care of our house and plants.

Highly recommend! I am a petsitter and really needed a petsitter while I had to take a trip out of the country and this was a perfect fit. My 2 small dogs had so much fun with the other dogs in their care! The dogs are in the home with them and they have access to an outdoor patio area and play yard. No cages or kennels. Kristen was amazing, she sent me photos and videos of my pups every day. It was hard to go out of town because I would miss them so much them, but I felt very good about their care and knew they were safe, getting exercise and being loved on. We boarded our dog Nugget at Wolf Rd Pet Retreat while on vacation. Kirsten and Mike opened up their home and welcomed Nugget like he was their own. They also pay keen attention to the interactions of the animals with one another making sure all are doing well and no Alpha dominates the others. Kirsten pet sit our dog and two cats for a week while we were on vacation. From beginning to end, it was a smooth experience and our fur babies were content and happy when we returned. Kirsten was also kind enough to water our garden that we had just planted and our flowers while we were away. She is reliable and responsible and kept us updated with texts and photos so that we knew our pets were in good hands. We were in town for a couple days, and needed care for our dog Kaia on two separate occasions. Kirsten was super communicative, easygoing, and offered wonderful care for our dog. Each day Kaia came back very happy :), and we had total peace of mind knowing she was in good hands.

We were going out of town for 3 nights and Wolf Road Retreat was close by and thought we would give a try for our Chanel(cat). I'm very picky and was nervous but Kristin shared photos and videos throughout the day and was in contact stating all was OK. Chanel seemed very happy which of course we were (are) happy. I hired Critter Stay Care to help put with my 4 month old puppy. John Paul has been coming over twice a week to let out and play with her when I have long days at work. He is warm and affectionate with her and I feel she is safe in his care. Now that she is older he has been taking her to the park and then generously bringing her to my office in town. He's been super flexible and accommodating of my changing needs.
My experience with Critter Stay Care has been a wonderful one. I'm grateful to John & his partner Aggie for being such warm hearted and caring people who take really great care of my pup Zia while she stays with them. It's obvious Zia enjoys her time at their weekly doggie daycare; she's always so excited when I bring her. I'd highly recommend them.💜
