Homeowners and ex hands-on landlords with extensive animal care experience.
Dianne and Tim are exactly the kind of sitters who make TH a trusted and reliable community that we can turn to time and again. They were highly communicative, friendly, capable. They took care of our 7 month old Nora for a few days and were so flexible with the needs and quirks of a young dog in training. Our dog fell in love with them quickly and the daily photos proved it. They were conscientious from start to finish with Nora and left our home in immaculate condition. We came home after a long day of travel to a clean home and happy dog which is everything. We are so very grateful to Dianne and Tim!

Mature, responsible pet lover loves to travel
This was the third year in a row James watched our pets. For the third year in a row, we came home to happy and cared for pets and a house that was left in great shape. We trust James; and it is a wonderful feeling. We have old pets. Our little dog is over 15 years old and has some special needs. James handles her like a loving pro. James is a go to person.

PET-LOVERS, WITHOUT THEIR OWN, WISH TO HELP OTHERS
Lovely people and wonderful sitters. The cats were happy and my home was well cared for. Nancy communicated well through the sit and was flexible setting up arrival and departure times. She and Dan would be welcome back anytime!

Pet friendly people looking for adventure
Christy and Eric were absolutely amazing! They cared for our 2 dogs and cat exactly as we had hoped (and even did extra). They took them for walks and rides and administered oral medication to both dogs. Christy and Eric communicated throughout our 2 week vacation and gave us updates on the pets and the house. Christy and Eric were both very easy to talk to prior to the sit and they arrived on time as scheduled. They kept the house EXTREMELY clean and it seems as though we came home to a cleaner/tidier home than we left them. Christy and Eric were amazing pet sitters and we would definitely be more than happy to welcome them back into our home any time!

Special Ed. Teacher Available for Pet-Sitting
Ranai was a fantastic house sitter and cat whisper. Highly recommend. We have two cats with very different personalities and both of them warmed up to Ranai quickly and ease fully. She was great about sending lots of pictures, videos and updates on both of them, all of which made us smile while we were away. In addition to her love and skill with animals, Ranai was extremely communicative, easy to coordinate with and left the house tidy and in great care. We would welcome her back anytime that she's back in the Bay!

Kind, impeccable house/pet/property sitter for your home and pets.
Leslie did a great job taking care of our four cats, our house was neat and clean, and we received lots of pictures from her daily - we can't thank her enough! Aside from an alarm on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in my office (she has NO blame for this one - it failed while we were gone!), she was self-sufficient and took care of all out plants and paid great attention to the cats!

I was delighted when Naomi came back again for another sit with Mr B. So kind, so calm - such a wonderful sitter in every way and kept me up to date at all times. A lovely person, so glad we met and Naomi is always welcome.

Mature couple ready to help.
Shelley is a dangerous and incompetent housesitter. She should never be entrusted with anything more valuable than a houseplant. Her pet care was terrible. On the 2nd day she left our 2 dogs outside in the backyard, unattended on a 83-degree hot, humid summer day with no water for 90 minutes while she left our home to go out for a walk. We saw this on our Ring camera and immediately reported this to zeewoi (full complaint currently under investigation) and let her know directly how concerning this was for us. Not only was it unsafe to leave the dogs outside while she left the home, but it also went against clear instructions that were communicated to her in person during the handover and in writing about what to do with the dogs anytime she left our home. She repeatedly had trouble following basic instructions that were communicated verbally, in writing and in text reminders. She was incapable of following basic pet care requirements. We asked that only one of our 2 dogs be walked once a day (I did not want her walking the other stronger dog, because during the handover we went on a walk together and Shelley DROPPED our dog's leash). We use Fi collars, so we know that over the course of 11 days, Shelley brought our dog for only 4 walks. We did a phone interview with Shelley and never did she inform us that our medium sized, 40 pound dogs would be too much for her to walk. Additionally, Shelley traveled with her sister who clearly is unwell (likely dementia or some sort of developmental disability) and also was afraid and nervous around dogs. She never informed us of this, and it was clearly a huge safety issue. Shelley's sister let our INDOOR cat out multiple times (at least 4 times are seen on outside cameras). Sometimes our cat was left outside for 20+ minutes without Shelley or her sister realizing. This is so, so dangerous- we are on a main street with a lot of traffic. We are lucky our cat didn't get lost or killed under her "care." Shelley and her sister left our home in a terrible, and honestly gross and unsanitary, condition. A paper bag with human feces was found in our bathroom and made the entire 2nd floor of the house stink for days. The rug in my office was covered with urine- which makes me wonder if she locked my dogs in this room for extended periods of time. Our dogs are fully house trained and have never had any potty accidents. The kitchen was filled with flies, milk had been spilled in the refrigerator and never cleaned up (a gross film had formed by the time we got home). The blender was put away in the cabinet unclean. The recycle bin was filled with dirty trash- so much so that we got a notice from the city. She carelessly used metal utensils and scratched our Le Creuset dutch oven (which will now void its lifetime guarantee). Three brand new bars of soap were taken from our home, like they were some sort of hotel amenity. Shelley went into our basement storage freezer (which she had NO need to access) and took home 3 gallon bags (about 20lbs) of frozen tomatoes I had harvested before our trip from our garden. When I addressed this with her, she claimed her sister packed them by accident (which, if true, & your sister is so unwell that she's packing things from someone's home that are NOT HERS, she should not be allowed to travel with you). However, I don't believe that's the case- 20 pounds of tomatoes aren't really something that just sneaks by your consciousness- it's A LOT of tomatoes. Shelley was offended I accused her of stealing, but that's what she did. She ultimately returned them, knowing full well she was in the wrong. I'm not sure what else she might have taken from our home, as I didn't think I needed to take an inventory of our belongings and supplies before we left. Ultimately the sit ended when our one of our dogs ate some of a marijuana plant in the backyard (she had never shown interest before and we did not know the plant- with no flowers on it- was dangerous). We do not blame Shelley for that (even though it was probably from a time the dogs were not adequately supervised in the backyard); having the plant where dogs could access was our mistake, and one that will never be made again. The part that is extremely concerning is that it took Shelley nearly 2 hours to get our dog to the emergency vet from discovering the first symptoms (she first texted me at 6:26pm that our dog was unwell and "having seizures" and did not leave for the hospital until 8:12pm). And I am certain she never called the zeewoi vet emergency line. She eventually reached out to my mother (our emergency contact while we were in Europe) and my mom told her to go to the vet ER immediately. Afterwards Shelley stated via message, "I cried, prayed & hugged her throughout the incident." So, instead of getting prompt medical care for our dog (emergency vet was clearly listed in our printed out home instructions), she prayed for her. Unhelpful, incompetent and incredibly dangerous. I'm not sure how she has previous good reviews. We were shocked by the incompetency and complete inability to understand and follow simple, clear directions- there are, sadly, many more examples I could include here. We are grateful our girls survived having her stay in our home. I would hope no one else ever has to deal with such a horror. To finish things off, disapproving of the legal marijuana plant in the backyard and probably of our rainbow flag displayed on the front of the house, Shelley texted "You need prayers. Find a Bible based church to go to and get healed. I pray for your soul."
Joe and Casey were very easy going and reliable. We organised the sit way in advance with a video chat and we had adequate communication leading up to the sit. We handed over the house and animals after a fairly swift explanation of everything. Being experienced sitters Joe and Casey didn't need us to over explain anything (hopefully they felt the same) and we could see very quickly that they were animal lovers. They asked us how much communication we needed whilst away and we said "no news is good news". So we received just the right amount of updates along with the most adorable photos and reassuring words about all the animals. It was clear that they quickly understood the character of each of the animals. We forgot to mention that Tipper likes to dig dirt beds around the garden which creates quite a mess and it was obvious that these were kept under control. The garden and pool were well cared for. We enjoyed a relaxing couple of weeks away knowing that the animals were being loved and the dogs definitely looked for Joe and Casey when we arrived home. Our pets, home and garden were well respected and cared for and we would not hesitate to invite Joe and Casey to sit for us again.
Once again Dede was the most perfect pup and house sitter you could ever hope to have the pleasure of using. She leaves our home cleaner than we left it and our pups so happy that they continue to search for her after she leaves. Dede handled an emergency situation with a false CO2 alarm which resulted in a visit from the fire department perfectly and we were so grateful! I feel completely comfortable with her in our home and know she is giving our 2 dogs the very best care. Thank you Dede - you truly are the best!
Joe was an excellent sitter and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, dealing with one of our pup’s surgery recovery, which was an unexpected circumstance just prior to our trip. We felt fully comfortable and were so grateful to know that all of our dogs and our home were in such good hands during his stay. Highly recommend!
We initially accepted Deirdre and Jason for a long stay to look after our dogs. We were very happy they accepted. A few weeks later we realized we needed another sitter for another trip we had planned. So, we posted more dates on zeewoi. To our happy surprise, Deirdre and Jason reached out to us saying they could also look after our dogs and home with the new dates we posted. This made our life much easier and we were very confident to have Deirdre and Jason stay longer with us and care for our dogs. We were definitely right!! D&J have countless experiences on zeewoi with very good reviews from all of their previous sits. They are very experienced with all aspects of a house/pet sitting. D&J are very self-sufficient, have the background knowledge and education of pet care, and most importantly a genuine love for all animals. This is most important for my wife and I. We knew from the first meeting with our pups they loved animals. Communication was excellent. The process before and during our sit was stress-free for us. We were given daily updates on our dogs including photos and videos. Any concerns D&J had were vocalized to us. D&J are also problem solvers and know how to react many challenging situations. Our routine for our pets was followed immaculately and all dogs were very happy and connected with them. Even our female dog Kinki grew close so quickly with D&J which is very rare. We had ZERO issues while we were gone and we were able to really enjoy our trip while we were away. The dogs definitely love being around D&J. Homecare: We are very pleased with the condition of our home when we returned. It was clean, free of clutter, and exactly how we had left it for them, if not even better! D&J even mowed our grass and took care of our yard! Our yard is not a small garden. It is very big and takes hours to mow. So we were very surprised and excited to know they did that for us even though it's not expected of our sitters!! They definitely went above and beyond what is expected. Our dogs are so very important to us. When we know we can trust our sitters it's the best feeling in the world. We definitely trust Deirdre and Jason with our most prized possessions and we look forward to the next sit with them in a few days!!! We can't thank them enough for giving our dogs the love and attention they deserve. We highly recommend Deirdre and Jason for your future sittings and you can always feel free to contact Izabela and I about D&J for additional verification from us. They are fantastic! Thanks so much Deirdre and Jason! -Allen and Izabela
Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.
They took very good care of my pets which involved feeding cats twice daily, fish once or twice a day and filling up fountain for birds. Animals were healthy and happy when I returned. Nothing was lost or broken, and Diane even found a lost grinder part that had fallen into the cats food while I was using it. They are a pleasant couple. They were invited from Wednesday to Sunday. They arrived on Monday so had 3 days instead of one to learn the pets routine. They also informed me that they wouldn't be leaving until Monday morning, but that worked out well since I was mistaken about the end date of my cruise and couldn't get home until Monday. Everything was left neat, but I had minor housekeeping to do (clean sink, fingerprints off glass table, sweep floor). They are older than stated on the profile, which they said only allows 65 as a top age. 68 and 73. Bruce has health problems that requires he sleeps sitting up in a chair that has a leg lift, which luckily I had, so he slept in my living room. They are fine caring for cats, but my friend with a dog decided to find another sitter rather than leave him with them (she was going to pay) because they seem somewhat frail.
First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.
To this list of attributes I would add flexible, capable, sensitive, extremely good with the dogs even if one of mine is sometimes a little ornery, and just a wonderful person all around. Because of constantly changing circumstances due to a move and coronavirus, my dogs ended up spending not two weeks but a whole month with John and they were so comfortable and happy. John helped them in so many ways and coordinated shipping them overseas, he went above and beyond the wildest stretches of what a house sitter entails and did it with a smile and a laugh and reassurances that all would be well. And indeed he was absolutely right - the dogs arrived so well cared for that all my fears of them being traumatized went out the window. John’s flexibility, and his kindness as well as his impeccable maintenance of my house in my absence all make me recommend him an absolute 10 out of 10. Thank you John for all your help this summer!! Lisa
As ever, Charlie was the perfect dog/house sitter - took loving care of our dog and looked after the house and garden as if they were her own; all returned in immaculate conditon!
Ranji was a wonderful pet sitter for my dog Zoe and was very easy to communicate with and kept me informed. She took wonderful care of our condo and wouldn’t hesitate to have her in my new home in NJ if she wants to check out a new area.

We have been working with Kevin and Julie for over a year now and I would highly recommend their organization. They have been caring for our golden/lab since he was 6 months old. Our dog adores Kevin and Julie. He has come to depend on them as much as we do. They are honest, devote and kind people, who give 100% effort. We have used their services not just for daily dog walks, but also when we go away. Our dog does not like change as most dog don't so putting him in a kennel would not be helpful. When Kevin recommend that leaving him home and visiting 3 times a day would probably be the best thing for him he was correct. Dog Tales is awesome and they our more than pet caregivers they are pet whispers with style!
It is a pleasure to write a review about this great service! We have used dog tales for five years and we are beyond satisfied. My cat and dogs are treated the way I would treat them with great love and care! In addition, during family emergencies the great people at dog tales have always been there to assist us with our pets. I recommend dog tales to anyone who is looking for an excellent pet sitting service.
We have been using Dog Tales for three years and find them to be very reliable, trustworthy and professional. They give our dogs the same love and attention as we do. They have been very accommodating to changes in our schedules whenever possible. They have become like second parents to our dogs and it is comforting to know that our pets are receiving such a high quality level of care. They are great communicators as we always receive a brief written summary of the day's visit. We are very lucky to have them. The dogs feel the same way too. :)
I was afraid to trust the care of my best friend to anyone, but my work schedule required that he have someone let him out and play with him during the day and when I traveled. Dog Tales was recommended by a friend so I gave them a call. Julie came for the "Get to know us visit" which went really well. My pup bonded instantly with Julie!. My Otter fell in love with Kevin and Julie! Their excellent care, knowledge, commitment and love for my boy was amazing. Kevin and Julie undeniably provide the best care for all the pets they come in contact with.
We have been clients of Julie and Kevin for over 6 years. We never had to worry when they cared for our two active labs as it became apparent they loved them as much as we do. Dog Tales was perfect for us as they worked with our constantly changing schedules, were prompt and always cared for my dogs as we would. We now live in Ct. and miss them dearly, as we have been unable to locate a service that cares for our dogs as well!
They did a wonderful job caring for our two dogs for a week while we were away on vacation. Great communication. We had never used a dog sitter before and were nervous about the whole ordeal. We had nothing to worry about, they did a great job for us and showed great care for our dogs. We would definitely recommend their services and look forward to them helping us out again in the future.
While away on vacation, we used Dog Tales to take care of our chocolate lab Teddy. They are a local dog/pet sitting company located near us in the Hudson Valley (Orange and Ulster County). They provided excellent service and let us know about the costs ahead of time. More importantly, they gave us peace of mind knowing that our dog was being taken care of. I know they also take care of cats while people are away.
We have used Dog Tales for over 4 years. We have 3 dogs and a cat. They are family to us. We use them weekly as well as for vacations and overnights. My pets adore them. They are caring and concerned for their well being. They are professional, reliable, friendly and trust worthy. We can't imagine our lives without them. We highly recommended them.
When we adopted a hyper puppy we knew we would need someone to take him out on the three to four days a week that we'd be gone for more than 8 hours. We also have a very shy and anxious 13 year old dog. She is scared of just abiout everyone. We hired Dog Tales thinking that they'd only need to take care of the pup. But Sadie the senior warmed right up to Kevin and Julie! Dog Tales are consistently RELIABLE. When it's slushy or rainy, they wipe up the muddy paw prints. They always leave a note to let us know how the visit went. When we added a cat to our home, Kevin made sure to give him attention and treats (which he brought himself). I would (&have) highly RECOMMEND Dog Tales. We love them!!!
We have been using Dog Tales services for over a year and we are blessed to have found them! They are reliable, trustworthy and always work to accommodate us. They treat our boys wonderfully and I know they look forward to the days they get their walks with Kevin and Julie.
Our dog seemed to really enjoy his stay. The staff was friendly and professional. They seem to do everything "by the book" which I really appreciate. They asked for all of Harkin 's paperwork, wanted contact numbers, and went over his diet before we dropped him off. It looks like a beautiful facility.
My family went on a cruise and left our dog at the plainview Kennel. They took such good care of her. I was so at peace with leaving her in their care. She was well taken care of. They are great.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude toward Plainsview Country Kennels for the love and care they showed our dog, Ziggy, during his stay there. My husband and I were visiting our sons over 5,000 miles away and needed peace of mind knowing that our fearful dog would be safe and cared for. Ziggy can be a difficult fit, he is fearful of everyone and everything away from home. We chose a private room for him away from other dogs, minimizing the noise. The staff took care to give him a little extra TLC and by the end of the stay, he was beginning to warm up to them. I received updates and was assurance that he was ok and when our flight changed at last minute to the following day, and they went out of their way to accommodate us. I definitely plan to use Plainsview Kennel on our next planned travel and they have my highest recommendation. Those reading this will not know my background, but I have several years’ experience running a dog rescue and volunteer organization at an Animal Shelter; I am extremely particular (as we all are) about who cares for my pups. That said, I have full confidence in Plainsview Country Kennel.
I would give 10 stars if I could! We have been leaving our 3 dogs here for years! Helen and Greg run a professional business and keep the facility very clean. We wouldn’t bring or trust anyone else with our fur babies! Highly recommend!
Helen has been most kind and flexible. I like the facilities offered for our large Great Pyr who on occasion can be a handful. They have accommodated our specific requests to keep her outside as much as possible, and made special arrangements to board her during a period in which they were not accepting guests. They even were easygoing about some mischief she got into…. I feel confident leaving our pet with them and would not go elsewhere. Vicki Morgan Erenzo
I highly recommend this kennel!! My family has been using this kennel for years! We have 2 dogs and feel like they are part of our family. The owners and staff here are so kind and caring. This is the only place where we KNOW our dogs are cared for in a loving way. The land that the dogs play in is beautiful. This kennel was initially recommended to us by our vet. Again, I highly recommend it - 5 stars!!
We just picked up our dog after a week long vacation. He was happy and healthy and the facility is always clean. The owners post pictures and videos on Facebook while we're away and missing him. We have been going here for a year now and feel comfortable leaving our beloved dog because we know Plainsview Country Kennel will take good care of him. I highly recommend PCK.
I have been so fortunate to have Helen and Greg Edgar of Plainsview care for my Golden Retrievers Josie and Puck for more than 12 years. Travelling often, I was always able to enjoy my vacations because I didn't worry about my dogs. I knew that not only were they safe and well cared for, they were probably having a better time than they do at home. Wading pools in the summer, and playing with other dogs several times a day. When people ask me where I leave the dogs when I go away, I always say "They're at the Spa!" The last time I arrived to pick up Puck and reached for him with his leash, he looked at me, tail wagging as he got pets from the staff. He didn't want to go home... that says it all.
I love Plainsview Kennels! I am that dog "mother" who always freaks out about leaving her furbaby at the kennel. The owner made/makes me feel so comfortable and at ease when I leave my pup there. She always remembers going there and is super happy when we drop her off and goes to the staff without even looking back at me (which is sad for me but I'm happy she likes it there). I am on my vacation now and just realized I have no anxiety whatsoever in regards to my pup. And I should mention the facility is wonderful and located in beautiful Wallkill NY, my home town. Thank you Plainsview Kennels for this peace of mind!!! Highly recommended!
Good family run kennel. They take good care of the dogs, they have a pick up and drop off service if you need, and the prices are good.
Lakeside Lounge is the best! We bring our dog there a couple times a week to play. She is always met with love and excitement to see her. She always comes home happy and exhausted from playing. We board her at Lakeside Lounge anytime we leave town. They have fantastic groomers that are able to do a beautiful job on her, despite her intense fear of water and having her nails clipped. Our dog is like a child to us. I totally trust that she is in the best hands at Lakeside Lounge. Lia and Fran go out of their way to be there for her and for us. Our dogs home away from home. She’s always excited to be there. Thank you, Lakeside Lounge! We’re so grateful for you.
Lia and her staff are PHENOMENAL. Coco stayed at Lakeside for close to three weeks and he couldn't be happier. Right from the start, the intake process was seamless. We were able to do a tour and meet the staff at BOTH faciliyies. We saw where the dogs were kept and taken care of. Lia and her staff are so accessible via Whatsapp- they gave me daily updates with pictures and videos. Here is my review written on Facebook when I returned from my trip: I recommend this facility 💯 %- the one in Monroe and New Hampton are PHENOMENAL. Our pocket bully was cared for daily, they took the time to acclimate him and shared videos of his daily activity. They are caring, understanding, patient, and detail oriented. They DO NOT skip a beat and you can truly tell that the staff that work in both facilities truly care about animals. My dog was happy even when he was away from his family. The owner Lia, is timely and she responds to your questions and concerns. No question is too small or annoying. We have found our Coco his DayCare/Spa family. He’s vacationing from us and living his best time life when he’s in their care! I highly recommend them- this was his first time away from us and I didn’t worry one bit because the staff and owner are so knowledgeable. Thank you a million times for caring for my baby!!!
Lea is absolutely amazing, I can not say enough great things about her customer service and the way she cared for my cat. My Himalayan was neglected while I was away and needed a lot of TLC and that’s exactly what Lea and her team provided. Not only did she take wonderful care of her she kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. Look no further then Lakeside Pet Lounge for your dog or cats needs and I promise you that you will not be disappointed. Thank you again for taking such good care of my fur baby (Truffles)! I will never go anywhere else for my pets needs!
I HIGHLY recommend Lakeside Pet Lounge!!! Lia was so amazing with our cat Leo and treated him like her own. He had an extended stay with her while we moved into our new home and it went much longer than expected. This was stressful for us but Lia was flexible and made it sooo easy for us knowing our boy was safe with her. You can tell she truly cares and kept us posted on his stay the whole time. Highly recommend Lia to anyone and her amazing business!
Our Boston Terrier absolutely loves doggie daycare at Lakeside Pet Lounge in Monroe! He’s always super excited to go play with his dog friends and comes home a happy tired pup. Everyone I’ve interacted with there is super friendly and welcoming and you can tell how much they really love dogs.
We had a great experience with Lia and the staff at Lakeside Pet Lounge. We boarded our dog for the first time and were super nervous, but everything went great. Lia really worked to get to know our dog's specific needs and integrate her with the other dogs. The indoor/outdoor kennel space they have is awesome too. Our dog came home happy and healthy!
Have had absolutely no issues, they are extremely accommodating, fair priced, and friendly. My pup always has a good time and you can tell they care about the animals. Bring him multiple times a week for day care and have had him boarded before and have nothing but good things to say!
Noah (2 years) and Capone Dillinger (9 months) come home from Lakeside as happy as they did when they left. Both dogs are high energy but come home exhausted from all the playtime they get at Lakeside. Their grooming services are great and the boys always come home smelling good, nails trimmed and ears clean. Lakeside accommodates needs specific to each dog as well. They have gone out of their way to accommodate us and our schedule. I would recommend Lakeside to anyone who needs a safe environment for their dog(s) where they get lots of playtime and attention.
Lakeside Pet Lounge is the best thing I could have done for my puppy! We were leaving my Yorkie for vacation for the first time and we were nervous cause he was only 5 months old and barely 3 pounds. He also hadn’t been around other dogs yet. But after looking at the website, visiting and talking with the owner we felt confident that he was gonna be just fine there and get lots of love and care. While we were gone she sent us lots of videos and updates on him and he was having the time of his little life making friends and playing with all the other puppies. They were all way bigger than him but that didn’t matter to him, he made friends with them and the owner made sure he was safe and with dogs he felt comfortable with. We’re definitely bringing him back for daycare every now and then so he can catch up with his friends and keep socializing. If you’re looking for a place to trust with your puppy while you’re gone, this is it.
HEADS UP TO OTHER FORGOTTEN PETS OF LAKESIDE: If your pet was present at the New Hampton facility on or around October 9 2024 ... please be on the look out for kennel cough symptoms! Symptoms can take awhile to present themselves but when they do ... seek medical attention Lakeside Pet Lounge you continue to disappoint and deflect! Bottom line, I expected a simple apology for the lack of communication to this oversight. However, you have made numerous excuses as to why you did not communicate the potential exspoure. You make a point to reference our Vet, why? When Hazel presented her symptoms and a discussion of her recent whereabouts is had isnt it appropriate to say YES she has visited a doggie day care recently? YES sadly my Vet is aware of your facilities due to other cases related to health issues that have come out of your facilities, whether in August or October myself and others were NOT made aware. Why wouldnt my trusted Vet make us aware of what they know?! You also make a point to reference our nervousness with bringing her there or how she became overstimulated, why? What does that have to do with the FACT that you admit to not documenting her attendance? In case you forgot, Her 2nd to last visit was September 24, as per your recommendations regarding being over stimulated we were encouraged to NOT bring her as frequently. Also, encouraged to come back unannounced on a walk in basis. We followed that exact recommendation, returned on October 9 2024 and when I made you aware of her illness via text October 18 2024 you so arrogantly replied and admitted she was not documented as being present during the potential outbreak time frame! You went on and on reminding me of your vast experiences etc etc but really I only wanted to receive an apology and some comapsion for what we have endured. I am sure you have the MONEY I paid for the services that day!? I wonder how many others are not documented and did not get the heads up! Your facilities name has a bad reputation based off previous and now current health related issues and your continued lack of proper communication. You clearly have not learned from your previous mistakes ... You say going fwd you will do better, I sincerely hope so for all who will continue to attend your facility. We most definitely will not return, I doubt you will even notice her absence as you did not notice her presence. Your obvious tactic of trying to bury my bad review on FB and on Google further confirms my opinion of you. Again, a simple apology or a GENUINE acknowledgment of fault without excuses is what I expected. I made the owner aware and sadly received an unkind response. Clearly she is upset about the bad reputation with regards to health related issues within the facilities, blaming local Vet offices for HER bad behavior and lack of communication is simply deflecting from the actual issue. Parents should take a moment to think .... how has this bad reputation come to be?! Bad reputations don't just fall from the sky! Medical professionals do not just "go after" anyone unless there is reason!
