I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!

Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.

Robert and Biljana are absolutely the best sitters you could ever get. We have used them several times already. They have always arrived at the stated date and time. They are eager to receive any and all instructions and will follow them as stated. They keep us informed almost every day on our dogs and send pictures regularly. They always go above and beyond their duties. Robert has fixed a few things around the house without being asked. They buy things for our dogs and have even trained our dogs on certain issues. They made a concerted effort to get to know the neighbors and talked up our dogs to all of them. They will be discreet with any and all information given. We really appreciated all their hard work and effort. They have certainly elevated the bar for the next sitters. Biljana took very good care of our plants and spoiled our dogs to excess. This was our first experience with TH and we are very pleased. From the moment Rose arrived we knew she was the right sitter for our “kids”. Communication while we were away was great with pics of the dogs as well as text messages. Rose cared for our home and our “kids” with great care, she is very conscientious of your space. Lynn and Ray were fabulous sitters, going above and beyond to take care of our home, yard, and rambunctious pup. Leaving him for three weeks was very difficult but we felt confident once we met them. They are great communicators, very professional, capable of handling any situation, and personable. Since they are fully self-contained in their van, they arrived a day early so we could show them the place, have our dog Bailey get comfortable with them (that was immediate ☺), and get to know them over dinner together. While on our trip, they sent us daily photos of Bailey, which we really appreciated, and updates on their activities. They took him hiking almost every day and kept him well exercised. Any issues that came up (e.g., our irrigation water ran dry a couple weeks in) they communicated to us and we were able to resolve them quickly. They also harvested ripe berries and squash for us and even harvested and dried tomatoes in our dryer. We spent our entire trip feeling assured that all things were being taken care of and feel ever so grateful that we found Lynn and Ray through TH. We returned from our trip to a house that was thoroughly cleaned (better than we left it ☺), with fresh sheets on the bed, and a happy dog. Five-star sitters for sure!

We were so happy with Lynda's care for our senior pup. Lynda was extremely accommodating with the key hand over situation we had considering our early flights out of Berlin. She was easy to coordinate with and made this part of the holiday very smooth. We could also tell Sesame was in the best care. We received updates and photos of Sesame on walks and getting cuddles. We know Sesame can be sassy sometimes but Lynda was great with her little attitudes and handled her with ease. It was also really heart warming to see that Lynda truly enjoyed her time with Sesame and created a strong bond with her. We love to know that our dog is loved and treated with the care we would give her if we were home. Both my partner and I were able to fully enjoy our holiday as we knew from updates that Sesame and Lynda were doing well. Our apartment was clean and tidy when we returned and the sheets had also been washed. We would definitely have Lynda back and would recommend her to anyone else looking for an experienced sitter to stay with your pet.

Romina and Ignas took amazing care of our two dogs and home while we were away! One of our dogs, Beau, is extremely high energy and it takes a special person so make sure he gets enough mental and physical stimulation each day. Romina kept us in the loop of his trips to parks and outdoor excursions. She was very thoughtful and responsive during our time away. Additionally, our home was in pristine shape when we returned from our trip. The rooms were clean and tidy and Romina left us such a thoughtful note. First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Veronica House sat for us for a month. She cared for our two Dobermans and our cat. Veronica is so enthusiastic about animals. They immediately pick up on her joy and love for them. When some bold alligators made our dogs’ normal exercise routine unsafe, she was faced with the challenging situation of keeping two Dobermans with very different temperaments exercised and entertained in the height of Florida summer with its bugs, heat, and humidity. She met this challenge by taking the dogs for individual outings. She drove our young social dog to the dog park, finding the times when he would most likely have other large playmates and drove our socially anxious dog to the quiet areas of town for walks. This took a lot more time than our normal routine, but it kept our dogs safe and happy. A lasting benefit for us is that our younger dog, once a terror in the car, now rides much more calmly and our anxious dog, once fearful of what the car ride would bring, now happily hops in. Our cat was so content and well-groomed upon my return, it was obvious that she had been getting lots of daily attention, too. Veronica communicated with us on all the happenings with our pets and property every day. I came home to happy and healthy pets and a well cared for home. We feel so fortunate to have had Veronica as a house sitter and look forward to her sitting for us again.

In short, Cooper and Lucy’s Friends Pet Sitting absolutely rock! Best pet sitting service I have ever used! Paws down! Read on for the many, many reasons I feel thus. As are many pet parents, I’m reluctant to leave my fur babies. In fact, I tend to travel with my cats rather than leave them in another’s care. Recently, I had opportunity to visit Europe for a month, but it meant flying solo sans cats. I nearly passed on the trip because one of my cats requires daily medication, another is terrified of strangers, and the third is prone to anxiety; I didn’t think I’d find a pet sitter with whom I’d be comfortable caring for them for a month. I called around and had some less-than-encouraging conversations with area sitters (few wanted or could accommodate such a lengthy commitment, others weren’t comfortable giving medications, and some just didn’t vibe). I was on the verge of cancelling the trip when I found Lucy’s Friends. From the start, Cooper was professional, agreeable, friendly, and conveyed a clear passion for animals (he volunteers at animal rescues and helps care for feral cat colonies on the island). Cooper came to meet the cats and learn their routine. He also wanted to ensure that he’d be a good fit for the job, which I appreciated (some pets and people just don’t click and Cooper needed to know the cats would be cool with him). He diligently assessed the situation, the cats, and their needs before committing. I was very happy to see that money wasn’t Cooper’s primary motivation (he genuinely wanted what was best for the cats and would have declined the job had he not been absolutely certain he could deliver). During that first meeting, he also administered medication to my special needs kitty thereby assuring me that he could handle the task (his technique is as good as, if not better, than that of many vet techs I’ve seen in action). His warm disposition and obvious love for animals (not to mention the magic he worked with a syringe) sold me! I knew my babies would be in good hands. Every day of my month-long trip, he texted me updates, photos, and videos. When it seemed as if the kitties were especially anxious and missing me, he bought a pheromone dispenser for them! He even brought special toys, along with catnip, to cheer them up. He could have just come by, done the bare minimum, and left (how would I have known, after all?), but he took a genuine interest in their well-being. In my view, Cooper went above and beyond. I could not be more pleased with Cooper and Lucy’s Friends. I highly recommend him and his company! So long as I live on HHI, I won’t consider anyone else when it comes to caring for my fur babies. In sum, if you need a pet sitter, Cooper’s your man! He gets the “crazy-cat lady seal of approval” from me, as well as glowing endorsements from Kush, Bugsy, and Cary Grant!
Lucy's Pet Sitting is fantastic. We have used Cooper and Jen for over a decade. They not only take wonderful care of our cats but also our home. Our cats love them! Their service gives us such piece of mind knowing they come every day to make sure everything is in order. They make traveling a lot less stressful. We highly recommend them!
They've always been wonderful! When I'm out of town, Wolfgang goes to the house twice per day to feed and play with my three cats. They love him (probably because when they see him it means food!) and I feel good knowing they're being taken care of. Micah and his team are incredible, we recently moved to HHI from New England and finding a new pet sitter is not only challenging, but it is emotional because you want your fur babies in safe, nurturing hands. When I first contacted Micah by phone we had a wonderful conversation and I was immediately at ease, we set up a meeting for him to meet our pets to make sure everyone was comfortable with each other. All of our pets, 2 cats and 2 dogs, were immediately drawn to him, and we know animals are the best judge of human character. Even our 17 year old grumpy "I don't like people" cat walked right up to him. We've since used Lucy's on several occasions including trips abroad. And recently had a situation where we needed to call at 8 pm at night to ask Micah to let the dogs out for last call at 10 pm because our return home was being delayed. He immediately assured us he would go to the house and check in on the pets, and if we were delayed until morning, would make sure they were taken care of. Lucy's is the best and gives us a lot of piece of mind that are pets are well cared for and loved while we are away.

"Uncle" Ridge is an invaluable member of our team that supports an unwell pup-mom by providing the love, attention, affection & exercise that my remaining pup desperately needs... but momma doesn't always feel up to providing. My giant breed "happy tinkles" every time she sees him lol, something she's never done for anyone. When that PetKary van arrives in our driveway, my pup loses her mind with excitement. "Uncle" Ridge is by far her favorite person. He has taken her to the vet, spent the night at our home, takes pup on regular walks, bathes her, plays with her, provides lots of cuddles - the list is endless. Nick and everyone else at CountrySide were great. My dog Rocky had his own large area and got a ton of outdoor time and personal attention from the staff, I know he will be excited the next time he gets dropped off. He even got a free bath because of the length of his stay. Their prices are great and I will definitely go to them from now on
Oscar had such a great time at Countryside. They were very accommodating with diet and grooming. They recognized that he has a ritchy rear end and what doggie doesn’t? He had a bath and a nail trim with Dremel and he looks so handsome. I really can’t recommend this boarding/daycare highly enough. Nick and Deborah truly love four legged furry friends and it shows.
Our boy Maxx stayed for 6 days. The staff is excellent and the cost is affordable. If the need arises again, they will be our first choice for boarding. He got a bath while there too.
First time leaving my girls, I was a bit nervous. But they all seemed to have done well. Everyone working there is extremely nice, when I pulled in there was someone in the yard playing ball with one of the boarders. Would definitely recommend and will use them again!
This is a nice facility out in the country (hence the name). Prior to leaving our dog here I went and took a tour. The owner, Nick, seemed very knowledgeable and has invested in quality kennels. He seems to give each dog a lot of personal attention. I was anxious about leaving our 2 year old German Shepherd, but when we picked up he seemed happy and was in great shape.
I have a 6 year old, high energy, high anxiety Australian shepherd so I'm often worried where I board her at. Countryside boarding was amazing! I trusted them with my baby, got regular picture updates, and she even got a complimentary bath at the end of her week stay. They were very accommodating with all of my dogs quirks and anxiety triggers. I really felt the owner and team were compassionate and cared a lot about the wellbeing of the animals and weren't just looking to make money doing the bare minimum like some boarding facilities. The facility was very very clean and they allowed tours of the whole place before hand. They are just starting out and there isn't many reviews but don't let that deter you, I can't recommend them enough!

Here is my updated review. We have been extremely happy with boarding our 45 lb dog. She is calm after being kenneled and did well with her first professional bath! She is happy to go every time and is making her first dog friends. When house sitters cancel and dog walkers are busy, Klub Kanine is there!

I have been taking my Golden Retriever here for daycare consistently for two months. He loves daycare and enjoys socializing and playing with his “friends”. The staff is friendly and cares about each dog. I highly recommend Klub Kanine and Barkley and Rover to anyone who works full-time and is considering daycare options in the Roanoke Valley.
We have been bringing Murphy here since he was approximately 6 months old. He started on the Klub Kanine side and they made him welcomed with open arms and loved. Fast forward to him presently at the age of two on the Barkley and Rover side. To say that my sweet boy is super excited to come to daycare everyday would be an understatement. The employees are so sweet and friendly. The genuinely seem to care about him and love to see him when he gets there every morning. Currently the daycare is going through some renovations and I am so very excited to see what changes will occur to benefit all the sweet pups. Klub K-9 kept my little weiner dog happy and healthy while we were on a week long vacation. They were extremely accommodating seeing as we had to book last minute due to our pet-sitter bailing out. I've never had to board my puppy before, but the employees were so very kind and made everything as smooth as possible for us and our fur-baby. Highly appreciated and Highly recommend! We will be booking him a stay there again in the very near future 😀 🙌 👍
Barkley and Rover is a great place. My dog has boarded there and also goes to play. She is hyper and not very open to anyone who is not me, but they have made huge strides getting her to come around, and she enjoys her time there and comes home completely exhausted. Kudos to the team at Barkley and Rover, they are kind, considerate and friendly to everyone. Its like taking my dog to a family member. The owners have amassed a great group of people! Thank you!!!!
We love taking our dog to get groomed here! Brittany has been so wonderful with our dog Luna. I always know that she will be completely taken care of and she is always so sweet with her. Always happy with her hair cut and they are great not to keep her too long which I love!
My Doberman just started coming here. These are the nicest, most professional people I've dealt with in a long time. It is obvious they care about all of the dogs. My dog is worn out when he gets home and is so happy and that's all that matters to me. Bravo to the owners / managers and to the staff for being top notch. I'm so glad I found this place.
My girl LOVES Klub Kanine! Seriously, they are so caring and she is so well socialized because of her interactions. They all love her and I can tell it’s genuine. Highly recommend!

This was the first time we utilized this service after learning no one could keep our little dog while we were on vacation. I was greeted by a very friendly young lady at the front desk. She assured me everything would be okay. The place was clean and seemed well organized. You can bring your own food or allow them to feed your pet. Bring your pets a pillow and snacks if you like also. The prices aren't too bad at all. For 5 days I paid 127. That's a cheap price for peace of mind knowing your pet will be taken care of. We will be using these services in the future. It's really great to have something like this locally. I highly recommend Hollywood. Be sure to have all your pets shots. It's best to call ahead and they will gladly tell you which ones are needed before your pet can stay. They also groom as well.
Great staff and nice facilities. Your pet takes their own bed, toys and food with them. Reasonable rates. Penny was there four nights and also had a bath and nail trim for just $25 additional. Also important to us was she was next to other small dogs and indoors at night, not in a dog house in a lot next to a great Dane shed be scared to death of the whole time. She will be staying again! Hollywood Pets is a fantastic, clean, professional, and responsible business that truly takes your pet, ( family member) and loves them like their own. Hollywood Pets is Amazing! I assure you will not find better grooming or boarding services. They go above and beyond to make customers (doggies) happy and comfortable. When I stepped in their door, I didn't feel like I was at a grooming facility, because it is truly like a pet spa. There upbeat happy people, and wagging tails everywhere. The facility is very clean and hospitable. I will never take my babies, two Yorkshire Terriers, anywhere else. I know I will never find another who cares about, and loves my babies like Hollywood Pets!
We have used Hollywood Pets several times over the last year or so. This past visit will be our last. Our main concern with previous visits would be how our dogs smell upon pickup. It’s bad, maybe a mixture of kennel cleaner, pee and stench, who knows. Either way, they get bathed immediately upon arrival at home and their bed gets aired out, a lot. This time the bed has what looks to be a large pee stain on it. Our dogs are house trained, so it makes me wonder. We also had extra bags food prepared just in case and never received them back, strange. On to today’s issue which leads to our negative feedback. My wife calls in advance of our departure with our travel dates, drop off and pickup times and boarding fees, documenting all. Upon pick up of our pets, the boarding fees were higher than quoted. When this was questioned the owner stated he never gave those prices, he refused to look at the written documentation of such. After some intense discussion he slipped up and admitted a mistake in quoting a price prior to their July price increase, but refused to stick by the original quote or come to any terms of agreement. With this being said, dog owners beware! This business is less than ethical and cannot be trusted by any verbal conversation or agreements. This is an extremely piss poor way to operate a business and expect to retain customers. I would recommend pet owners take their beloved pets to anywhere else for boarding and care due to the fact that this business cannot be trusted on multiple levels. They will never see our $400-$500 dollar boarding visit fees again.
I paid $38 for my miniature schnauzer. My dog was groomed yesterday, and they did a fantastic job. My dog does not seem to mind going there, and I find the staff to be very helpful. I also saw a trainer working with s dog, she was incredibly gentle. My dog will continue to go there as long as I live in the area.
This is a great place/daycare to bring your pets and they even offer some vaccinations too. Great customer service and very very affordable. I'm a retired veteran so the cost is perfect for me and my family. My dogs looked so happy and comfortable there too when I checked on them.
The owner made time for my daughter and explain his business for our homeschool field trip. It was so clean, and the dogs were so well taken care of. He also helps the Animal Welfare Society here in Yanceyville and takes in dogs when they get full. These people are awesome!
The owner Derek goes above and beyond to explain anything about your pet, suggestions and even other services around town that he may not offer. Their grooming service is awesome and very consistent.

I am a newly transplanted resident of Va. from Pennsylvania. So I needed to obtain services for my furry family that would be professional and affordable. I'd scheduled a cruise and needed caretakers for my 2 cats. After research and recommendations I chose Carvins Cove Bed & Biscuit. They informed me during a visitation before boarding,that they are moving and remodeling the cat boarding area which in my opinion was already sufficient. They stated a change of location was warranted because they had noticed the felines being uncomfortable near the cacophany of the canines boarding area. The consideration of the boarders comfort convinced me of their empathy of the pets. During the cruise, narratives and pictures were texted to me that assured me of the well being of my cats. I cannot begin to describe how they went out of their way to make their lengthy stay more than tolerable. After a 12 day stay, I picked up my cats and observed that they were in great condition and good spirits. As a matter of fact, when they'd arrived home, they appeared to be searching for and missing Emily. I'm elated that CCB&B will be the home away from home when needed. Thankyou Blair, Emily and staff!

Highly recommend! This is the only place I’ve ever left my Bloodhound! It’s a beautiful place and the owners are friendly. My pup got car sick on the way in and they helped me with cleaning supplies to clean my Jeep. When I took her back she was very excited to go in which reassured that she’d had a great experience before! Great place!
We had to board our nervous 8 month old German Shepherd for the weekend. The young man working made friends with her. We appreciate the extra effort he took to make her comfortable. Great place to go if you need to board your fur baby.

I would recommend touring the place before picking it. I'm not saying anything bad about the place. I would call to check on my dogs & had to wait until they called me back. But both dogs came home fine. I think if I had toured it I would've felt more comfortable. The owner just didn't make you feel very welcome.
Easy to work with and quick to respond. They had my black lab for around two weeks while I was traveling internationally and they gave multiple updates without being asked to. My dog was in excellent shape when I returned.

I dropped my dog off at 8:05am and by 4:00pm they were just starting on her, heed I made an appointment 3 weeks prior so this was not a walk in or last minute deal. My dog is a labordoodle who needed a summer cut and I wanted her shaved with her ears and tail left and just trimmed. When I got my dog back she was odd shaved and uneven. She has guard lines all through her body. She has nicks and bald spots and her feet were not trimmed, ears were not cleaned and she looks completely terrible like my pure bread dog has the mange. It was so bad I had to sit in my car and cry at the state of my baby. Also want to point out my Dog was brushed every other day and bathed every other week. She’s extremely taken care of and didn’t have any mats or anything and now she looks like a child Attempted to shave her. I’m so disappointed and disgusted at the care of my dog. Leaving her in a kennel for almost 7hrs then sped through the grooming for in less than 30 mins which for my 80lb dog that has rigorous grooming is insane and of course they charged me full price. Anyone who has to get special grooming for your breed please don’t go here. The picture of her with hair is what she looked like prior to these people butchering my poor baby.
Buddy was stress free and looks great! I wish we would have known about Spunky's Spa sooner. We have definitely been through the ringer with others....but no longer! We scheduled his next 6 week grooming right after the first, we are that confident with Spunky's.
I was in the neighborhood for work and I stopped into spunky’s spa. They allowed me to do a walk in and I showed them my shot records for Josie my beagle. They did an amazing job grooming her and giving her a bath. I highly recommended Spunky’s spa!
Both of the dogs pictured here were both clean and dry upon arrival. They stayed there for three days in total. When we picked them up on day four at 11:30am the kennel they were in had pee and poop in it. First off, when we filled out the application we made sure to specify to not board them together because they are baby’s and they are not fixed yet , the suppose to be white one is a boy and the black one is a girl when we picked them they were in the same kennel. We also left specific instructions for the black one it was to not keep her harnesses on her while in the kennel because she will chew it off if unsupervised and when we arrived the harness was bitten in half (as seen in the picture) and soaked in pee … as we’re both the dogs as I stated previously the suppose to be white dog isn’t white he’s yellow mind you they have only Been there for three nights the black one was also soaked in a strong Oder of pee. When we called to ask about why they were covered in pee and poop there response was that they were hard to handle because they were bitting but when we called several times to check in on them we were told they were doing fine no behavioral issues were mentioned, we did try calling at least 10 times throughout the three days they were there but each time no answer when we finally did get an answer we were told everything was fine as I stated before. We also asked why they were together when asked not to be the owner stated that the weekend staff must have not known to put them away separately so obviously information about animals is not being provided to the other workers as it should be which is unprofessional. So far we have been told that the money for the harness will be provided (as it should be).
Tequila just spent 17 days with Crystal and her staff. She was well taken care of. AND extra Pampered from Pedro. I visited a number of times prior to dropping her off and I just felt so welcomed and good vibes from the staff. A huge thank you to all whom loved our lil girl in our absence. So happy 😀 💞 Tequila will be back to visit.

This boarder was recommended by our vet. Our beagle, Chloe spent three night there. First time we ever picked her up from a boarder and she was calm. She enjoyed her stay and did not get anxious. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Chloe dog. We will be back. Very reasonable for per boarding.
If u can’t do big dogs just say that. We spent 75 to have you half ass wash our dog. She didn’t get trimmed like she was supposed to. Also she didn’t get properly demated until we were leaving and we asked you to fix it. It took 6 hours and it wasn’t worth it. Very disappointed.
Picked up our senior boy today after boarding him for 6 days & once again pleased as always! Chrystal & her staff take wonderful care of our old baby, which includes lots of special things ie diet, meds, help etc. wouldn’t leave our baby anywhere else bc he is loved & spoiled there just like he is at home.
