Mature Responsible Female Sitter
MaryAnn is definitely a pet and house sitter you can trust to be there for you and your pet. We video chatted with her before her sit and felt very comfortable with not having to meet her in person before we headed on our travels. It was obvious she fell in love with our cat Stella enjoying all the cuddles especially at the end of the day. MaryAnn sent photos of our cat everyday and texted right away if there were any concerns. She left our home clean and cozy just as we left it. We feel so fortunate to have had MaryAnn in our home with our cat and would highly recommend her!

My scheduled sitter had cancelled close to my departure date, and Diane stepped up and offered her services. So much appreciated. I was able to visit my grandchildren!!! Diane (Bogie) gave EJ lots of attention and took him for many many walks during my absence. She also froze some of the leftovers that I had prepared so that I would have food upon my return--again, much appreciated without having to go shopping immediately. Her compassion did not go unnoticed!!

Active, responsible, retired, ready to take care of your pets and home
Ed and Laura were great pet-/housesitters! They were organized and communicative. We returned home to a spotless house, thriving plants, and a happy cat.

Solo home/pet sitter w/car. I would love to care for your home & pets.
This was not the first time Karrie sat for me, and just like before I knew my fur babies and home were in good hands. Karrie was on time, attentive to my kitties and respectful of my home. I look forward to Karrie sitting again in the future and know she is taking care of things while I am gone. Highly recommend Karrie to all!

Not all dog lovers can care for the large breed dogs. You can't just pick them up to fix a problem. And they tend to drool. Betsy was just marvelous with Byron. He likes to get out to walk or ride around in the car. He is a nosy thing. Betsy was able to find his best self. She sent lots of pictures. The house looked the same as we left it. I could not ask for more. We appreciated all she did to allow us to take a vacation without worry.

Next best thing to having you there
Margie and James flew from Michigan and rented a car to get to my home to care for Deegan. I am so glad they came. Delightful couple and they loved to take of Deegan. They took him for many for many walks and rides in their car. House was neat and clean. I mixed up my dates and came back a day early. We spend a fun night together sharing stories.

Looking to babysit the world's most cutest pets ever.
Tammy was incredible with communication. She asked and took daily photos and texts of our pets while we were away. We came home to an immaculately cleaned home (I can't even clean it to the level we came home to!!!) Tammy had dinner ready for us when we arrived home. The night we got home my dogs were calm and confused where to sleep, hence I KNEW they loved her being with them. I cannot recommend her enough! We were truly blessed to have her care for our dogs, chickens and home.

Teacher/petsitter dreaming of making petsitting and traveling a reality!
When we select a sitter, we read every review in addition to conducting some sort of video interview. We really rely upon the experiences of past hosts, so that’s why I believe it important to be honest in this review. I love giving out 5 star reviews and do quite frequently, but I also need to share any less-than-positive experiences as well for those hosts who rely upon reviews such as we do. As such, I’m a bit ambivalent about writing this review of Katie, as there were some really good things Katie did while here. She is a lovely, energetic woman who responded immediately to the concerns I voiced to her during the time she watched our pets; however, the “negatives” we experienced speak to the heart of the importance of having a dedicated pet sitter. For the most part, our home was left tidy and neat – which is no small feat as ours is a large house and I appreciate the care Katie took in ensuring we walked into a clean home. That said, Katie failed to notice my dogs had urinated in both of their dog beds and on the floor of our downstairs office, which we believed happened in the first part of the sit and resulted in the downstairs smelling of stale urine. Further, because she didn’t notice the urine, my pets, when downstairs, had to either sleep on the bare floor or in wet beds, neither of which is a satisfactory option. Also, my dogs don’t generally urinate in the house as they have access to a doggie door, and this seemed more a sign of their distress or discomfort. I believe this incident was part of a larger problem I experienced with Katie and that was in the manner in which she approached this sit. I advertised dates of July 6 – July 22. We generally ask our sitters to come in a day or two early as to walk them through the schedule for both our animals and our many plants, as well as to give them time to get to know the animals and experience a little of the town we live in. We also provide a very detailed introduction and welcome guide which outlines our expectations. Katie came in late in the day on the 7th, without personal transportation, which necessitated us picking her up and then my neighbor taking her to a rental cart company the next day because we left very early on the morning of the 8th. This abbreviated introductory time didn’t allow us to fully prepare Katie for the sit and allowed for some apparent “misunderstandings.” The “issue” for me was for the first five days of our 13-day trip, Katie was away from the house for up to 13 hours at a time – leaving our two, older rescue dogs, who have some separation anxiety - alone and with an extended time between meals. It was clear Katie was using this opportunity to visit many of the beautiful areas which surround where we live – hence using our home as more of an Airbnb to vacation – than a house sit dedicated to caring for our animals. Our dogs are fine with being alone for up to six hours but even that, for multiple days in a row, is, frankly, distressing to our animals and to us, as owners. To Katie’s credit, when I called and brought her daily, extended time away to her attention and reiterated my wishes the dogs not be left for more than 6 hours, she changed her schedule and while still gone every day, capped her time away at six hours. And, as I said, she is cheerful and responsive; hence, the ambivalence is positing my concerns with this sit. I think if Katie is provided with very clear expectations prior to the sit and understands exactly what is needed and expected, she will absolutely deliver. For whatever reason, from the start, this sit was rushed, there appeared to be too many misunderstandings, and it ended up being frustrating for us in ways other sits have not been.

Keeping your home safe and your pets cuddled
Claire was the best! She took great care of our pups and house, communication was great and we felt totally confident that she could handle our three dogs, one of which has some stranger danger/aggression issues. She even flew out a day early so she could come meet him before we left. Happy to recommend her!

We’d love to love on your fur and/or not so furry babies. We don’t discriminate.
Jenn & her girls are the ABSOLUTE BEST!! They will take great care of your home, pets & plants. Highly recommend her! She was great for us, and we appreciated her help. :)
Kylie was a great sitter for my dogs. She kept in contact and sent pictures and took them on many walks which they love. She has her own sweet little dog that keeps to herself and was just fine with my 2. I would recommend Kylie to anyone looking for a housesitter
We could not have asked for a better house sitter than Myria! She is kind, personable, organized, responsible communicative and more...She read all of our instructions before arriving and asked lots of questions about our pups to make sure she understood their personalities and schedules. You can tell she truly is a dog lover. Myria provided regular updates and we felt 100% confident leaving our dogs in her care. We came back to a home that was spotless - you could hardly tell she had been here. I'd highly recommend Myria as your next zeewoi!
This is our second time with Jamie and she’s really a great sitter for our dogs . She’s a trusted person, smart. You can leave her your house and pets. Can’t wait to have Jaimie back next summer
If we could give 10 out of 5 stars for Candace, Brian, and Chris, we would! They were amazing house and dog sitters for Brown Dog and Scout. They were so accommodating with our timeline and had read our welcome guide to a tee! It was so reassuring being gone for 2 weeks and knowing our pups were in amazing hands. They sent us daily updates and pictures and it was clear the dogs were so well cared for! They left the house very clean and even had all of our bedding and towels washed for us when we arrived home. Would absolutely recommend them for a sit and would love to have them back again any time!
Robyn was a great pet sitter and house sitter. She went way over and beyond my expectations!!!! She sent a photo of her and my dogs and they were looking at her like they were in love. And my cats are not very friendly, but she won them over also. I would highly recommend Robyn as a pet sitter and house sitter. She is a very sweet lady. I would love to have her watch my babies again and again.
We loved Misty!!!! She was absolutely the most perfect baby sitter for our dog and an amazing short term tenant at our house. Not only did she keep the house clean but she even washed everything she used before we got home. We even got a couple gifts from her. She is such a sweet human, kept in contact with us while we were gone and sent videos of the hikes and walks they went on. I would 100% ask her to stay at our house again
Jo & David were absolutely amazing sitters for our house and dog Rosie while we were out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. They are the best! Jo was super communicative and responsive at all times. She and David bonded with our dog, who grew very attached to them. They left our house super clean (and there were even chocolate chip cookies for us on our return)! Most of all, they are just super nice people and very easy to work with. Anyone is lucky to have JoAnna & David housesit for them.
Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.
Truly The Best House sitters Ever!!! Shannon, Travis and their son were absolutely terrific. I’m so lucky to have had the genuine pleasure of meeting them. Very warm, generous, open and loving people. My dog Wolfie usually barks at men who come in the house and I was a little worried about how he would be with Travis, but I had nothing to fear because within seriously 1 minute from Travis walking in the door, Wolfie was giving him kisses on the lips! I was so happy to receive their updates and photos and videos of my pets while I was away. They really went above and beyond taking terrific care of my many, many furry and feathered friends. When I got home, the place was sparkling clean, all linens laundered and beds made and they even left me sweet little surprises. I would welcome The Exums back with open arms anytime and highly recommend them.
Oh my Goodness! Where to begin. Linda was the perfect house sitter for us and the perfect pet sitter for Olivia! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we returned from out two week vacation all our plants were alive, the garden was alive, the birds and fish had been fed regularly, and the dog was alive and happy! What more can you ask for, right? Well with Linda you get all that and more. Updates as you request - even videos of her morning walks with Olivia. The house as spotless as we left it, maybe even better! Even the porches were clean! Linda is a genuine treasure and our recommendation would be 10 stars if there were that many!!

Being a first time puppy-owner, I’m very particular about who I trust taking care of our pup. Ashley did a great job at meeting all of our needs! She was very timely, showing up on time and responding quickly to our messages, and was sure to follow our feeding and play requests. Finding someone who we trust to take care of our new family member is so valuable!
Ashley is by far our first choice when we need a dog sitter. We have used her service on several occasions, the last one for a period of three weeks. During that time, she kept the house neat and tidy and stayed in communication with us on a regular basis, eliminating the stress of leaving the dogs and house behind. Above all, Ashley is trustworthy, and our dogs love her. We would be happy to provide personal references upon request.
Tried to set up a few drop in visits and everything seemed great over email. She no call/ no showed for our first scheduled meet and greet. Got in touch with her an hour later and claimed they had lost power the night before. Rescheduled for the next weekend and again no call/ no show and also did not answer when we called to cancel. Would not recommend this pet sitting service.
Ashley is very professional, reliable and caring. I called her to take care of my old cat and she did a superb job while I was away. I received daily pictures and my communication with Ashley was very fluid which helped me to enjoy even more my stay out of town. I cannot recommend her enough!
Both my dogs love going to the doggie spa. They do an excellent job grooming my dogs.
Best Pet Care In East Lansing and Lansing area!!!.
I have rough collies, and let me tell you.....they have a LOT of hair and matte so easily, even with regular brushing! Recker's staff takes wonderful care of my hairballs. They always look SO good when they are done. Their hair is not cut too short, and they smell lovely!
A great place to take your dogs, we use it for vacation sleepovers, but I would recommend them for anything if it was a little closer to home I would use it more often
Best place to get your pup trimmed up. Friendly staff. Comparable prices.
I love Recker’s. I moved all the way to Kalamazoo and still use their services because I love that I can trust them with my fur babies and they’ll get time out of their kennels. I know they’re socialized and well taken care of. Plus, I like that I can add grooming during their visit. The establishment is well kept and you can tell everyone cares. Highly recommend
Excellent care, in emergencies and needed day or overnight stays for most Assistance Animal
Our furbaby loves staying at Reckers. We know she's happy & safe.
Great facility! Kind providers, clean grounds, happy dogs!
Very friendly folks. They take good care of my dogs. They always come home happy.
This is my favorite dog kennel. My pup gets tons of playtime, and doesn't come home smelling like urine or feces
Love this place! She knows how to take care of dog for sure!
Fetch Pet Care in Lansing has truly exceeded my expectations. Eric has been the best dog walker to my Ella. Shes always so happy to see him! I really enjoy all the updates and pictures that he sends me. I highly recommend using this business!!
