Dog Sitters in Denali National Park

I met The Dog Mama through serendipity at Connors Bog. I was new in Anchorage and had a young dog. I was looking for doggie daycare with walks to keep my pup fully exercised during the week when I was super busy with a major project. Was I ever lucky to run into The Dog Mama! She started watching my dog very soon after. He already had experience with doggie daycare and been socialized to play with other dogs so he fit right in with her pack. She keeps her dogs in her control which was a huge reassurance to me. I wanted someone who wouldn't let this big puppy play on their sympathy! That is, I didn't want his training to go out the window while he horsed around all day. The Dog Mama has a wonderful, peaceful demeanor that sets the tone for the pups. I always felt like my dog had a good day of play and rest when I picked him up. He wasn't overstimulated by constant barking (like may happen in a bigger daycare facilities). I just loved bringing him to The Dog Mama. She's a great dog mom.

The Dog Mama is great! Alysha does an amazing job taking care of Agnes the chocolate Lab while we are on vacation. It’s so good to know our pup is in safe hands while we’re away. Plus, Alysha sends fantastic updates with photos of dog walks and other adventures. Highly recommended!!

We have used Alysha’s dog sitting services a few times, and we are so happy we found her! Our dog Jack loves having some pals to hang out with and of course the awesome adventures he gets to go on while he’s at Alysha’s house! Alysha is probably the only person capable of turning my crazy boy into a puddle. Both of my dogs love her but my boy Bob would probably vote to live with her instead of coming home. She takes them on daily adventures, sends the most beautiful pictures and updates, and really makes them a part of her family. Seeing them play with her family and pack gives me the peace of mind that even when I’m not there, they’re having the best time. Plus, when they come home, they sleep for pretty much 24hrs which is exactly what I need after a vacation or business trip.

We love The Dog Mama! Our pets are well cared for, instructions are followed, they get great walks and they enjoy playtime / socialization with a small group. Our two Schnauzers get excited when we pull into the driveway....and that’s their 5-star review summary!

Alysha was absolutely amazing with our two dogs Lilly and Bridger. She made sure we were kept up to date on their activities and sent plenty of photos during their stay. We are so lucky to have found her and plan on using her services again in the future!

Alysha opened up her home and gave the best quality time, attention and care to our blue heeler for 10 days. When we bring our dog to stay with Alysha and her husband we know he will be loved, kept safe, and have an active and fun time while we are gone. They are very responsible, kind and caring. Unlike traditional doggie daycare/boarding, my dog has been genuinely happy here! My favorite part is that the owner sends me picture updates and I can clearly see that my dog gets individualized attention, lots of exercise, and monitored play time with a small group of very friendly dogs. Alaska Pet Nanny was so wonderful! They took such good care of our home and 3 animals while away on a trip. They gave us the peace of mind that our home and animals were well taken care of, took the stress off us. The animals loved having someone there every day. Lynnae is so amazing! We had her stay overnights with our cat and dog, and she went so above and beyond in taking care of them and our house. My list of people that I trust to watch my dogs was basically nonexistent until I met Lynnae and Nev. They provided drop in services for my high energy German Shepherd including a last minute visit. After each visit, I received an update with a video. They kept Aggy active for the full hour and she had so much fun. I was extremely comforted to know that they gave Aggy the attention she needed (and then some) while I was at work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lynnae is absolutely the best possible option for your pet sitting needs. We have been lucky to have her watch our babies for 6 years now. She makes sure they stick to their physical & med routines and are comfortable and happy while we are away. They get to play and have new activities to keep them occupied. And is willing to stack mail & packages safely until our return and water plants as needed! We get daily updates, which helps us know they’re doing great! From senior to puppy (and many more critters) she’s got a covered!

They did an amazing job with my puppers!!! I was able to leave for my wedding knowing my dogs were fully cared for. She took care of them like they were her own and sent videos and updates everyday!

Alaska Pet Nanny is absolutely the best thing you could do for your pet. Lynnae was recommended by a friend and we could not be happier. Our cats were pampered and most definitely loved by someone who seems to love your pet as much as you do. She provided enrichment for them (completely unexpected!) and sent us a daily diary of her visits. We joked that the cats may not be happy when we returned because they missed AK Pet Nanny too much. 😻I can say with certainty, you would be nothing less than exceptionally satisfied using these services.

Dropped my Navy girl off for almost 2 weeks and the staff was so kind! I checked in multiple times throughout my trip and they responded quickly every time letting me know how she was doing. Navy celebrated her 5th birthday there and they gave her a treat and dressed her up and took pictures and videos and it was so sweet to see people love her as much as I do. We have been using Holy Dog for dayplay and boarding since November 2020 and I couldn't survive my life without them! My dogs attend dayplay nearly every day of the work week. Roxanne and her staff treat my dogs like their own. I know when they are at Holy Dog they are getting love and attention. The staff takes time to understand each of my dog's personalities. Roxanne has helped me during times when I've needed last-minute, emergency, boarding -- no questions asked. Whether they are boarding or just hanging out for the day, my dogs jump out of the car with excitement and come home happy and healthy. This is one of the few boarding kennels in Fairbanks that allows you to tour the area before signing your dog up. They have great communication and staff that are trained to work with all kinds of dogs. Our GSD is reactive at times and he leaps out the car as soon as he sees where we are at, he truly loves this place! They keep you updated with pictures and messages as well as Facebook post about your pet! They even give special meals for holidays

My dog gets excited to go to Holy Dog for the day. He is a puppy and he loves the people who care for him there. The whole process for pickup and drop off runs really smoothly. After his first three day overnight there, I picked him up and then had forgotten something and had to go back and my dog was excited to go back and wanted to go in. That says it all. Very reasonable with a punchcard option. Be sure to do a flea/tick treatment every month for your dog to be here, they don't sell the treatments there. Out of the way but worth it for the great caring team of doggie professionals!

This was our first time boarding our dog. She is big and energetic. The staff were so pleasant when we dropped her off and not deterred at all by her size or excitableness. They were quick to respond to our inquiries of how she was doing while we were gone. She was very happy and clean when we picked her up. I think she had a great little vacation herself. Holy Dog is the best, my dogs used to come here often when I lived in Fairbanks both for day play and overnights. I had adopted an anxious dog that couldn't be left home alone so he went for day play a few times a week, it was so convenient to be able to meet the shuttle at the Fred Meyer parking lot in the mornings instead of having to drive all the way out to the kennel. Roxanne is amazing and I am so grateful for her care and willingness to accommodate my anxious escape artist of a dog!

Holy Dogs took excellent care of Allie during our short vacation (4 days) I recommend them if you are in the Fairbanks area. I would have given them 5 stars, but the website is outdated making the signup process difficult.

Hannah at Tundra Tails in Sterling is the best. She took care of our couch potato like her own. We even got photo updates. Facility is top notch and easy to access when headed in or out of town. I highly recommend.

I bring my two large Chihuahua mixes here very frequently, And I absolutely will continue to keep bringing them back!!! Hanah is an absolute superwoman! I know my dogs are so safe, I know they’re taking care of, I know they are warm and they aren’t neglected, etc. They are both also very special needs in terms of medication and specific timing, and she is so good about administering medication, including their insulin shots. She is communicative about pick up and drop off time, and above all, I appreciate her so much for the fact that she is so flexible and understanding. She has the patience of a saint. I know my dogs can be a lot, but she is so accommodating and welcoming, I never feel like they are too much of a burden. She also is really good about sending pictures and updates, she’ll ask questions if she needs to know immediately. It’s just wonderful. I really do love the flexibility aspect though because if I have a last-minute trip to Anchorage, she’s very Accommodating.

Hanah is such a lovely person and wonderful with our dog! She took the time and had the patience to win over our anxious dog and now we feel comfortable knowing our dog is in good hands when we are away. Hanah is professional, reliable and caring. She sends us photo(s) of our pup while we're away and she has even watered my plants for me when she is making home visits. Our 2 year old Goldendoodle stayed at Tundra Trails for 4 days. He loved it and had a great time! The Burrell family lovingly cared for him, sent us updates, and made sure he had the best time. If you need an awesome dog walker, I highly recommend Paul. I adopted a dog with very bad manners, high energy and wasn’t even potty trained at 8 months. After working on some basics for a few months I started looked for help with walking and leash training. Roxie is a lab mix with high energy and because of her lack of training as a puppy she was very difficult to walk. She pulled, lunges, barks and in general was just crazy in her excitement. Paul came and did a meet and greet with Roxie and took on the job of helping me walk her twice a week. He is helping give her the exercise she needs but has also been helping with leash training and not pulling. After just two months I notice such a difference in her leash manners and it’s much more enjoyable to walk her. He also sends updates and pictures which I love seeing after her walks.

If you want to rest easy while your pet is taken care of at your home, this is your pet service. Paul took care of my rabbit and although JUST a rabbit, he spent time with her, let her hop around, gave her loving pets and sent videos and pics at each visit that let me see how well she was doing. Absolute piece of mind while on was on vacation. Highly highly recommend.

I am so thankful for Happy Hearts Pet Care (Paul & Cheryl)! They are professional and they love the work the do. They treat your animal/pet as their own. Paul comes and walks our boy, Zeke, when we are not able. What a blessing to come home to a happy and tired husky! I get pictures of the dog walk which delights me to no end. Happy Hearts has been the best dog boarding/day care for our puppy. Period. I cannot say how thankful we are for their kindness and care. Our puppy had some health issues shortly after we dropped off our dog and having Cheryl with her vet experience helped us and we were able to take our dog to the vet and drop her back off. Paul stayed up with us and made sure our dog was doing ok. Not only did they send us daily updates with videos and pictures making sure our pup was playing and doing well, but they treated us like family and really took care of our dog. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. If you are thinking about boarding your pet, there is no better place.

A medical emergency and Paul saved the day! Traveling in an RV can be a challenge sometimes when you need help taking care of a pet. Paul and Cheryl with Happy Hearts Pet Care are everything I was looking for in a doggy daycare. My work days can be 13+ hours and they put my mind at ease knowing my pup is taken care of. I love the pictures and videos I get throughout the day of the pups playing! My pup looks forward to daycare and is excited every time we pull into the driveway. I’m lucky to have found such wonderful people to care for my pup the same way I do!

Paul is so helpful with my elderly dog. He needs to be picked up while going downstairs and Paul is very gentle with him. He takes a lot of of time with my dog and I always know he’s well taken care of when Paul comes over! The pictures are nice too during each visit!

I hired Delaney for drop ins beginning in December 2021, and I still use her services twice weekly for my senior dogs to break up their day waiting for me while I'm at work. Delaney is a household name and my girls are obsessed with her! They know what it means when I say she's coming to visit! I've since also used Delaney for an overnight stay and I was completely at ease knowing my girls were being cared for exactly how i expected. Leaving my pets when i travel is normally very stressful but I didn't worry about them whatsoever! I came home to happy dogs and a clean house— Not only is Delaney talented with the animals in her care but she's also an exceptional houseguest. Finding someone you can trust with caring for your four legged family members as well as someone you can trust with your home is invaluable. Delaney is absolutely AMAZING!! I was so worried to leave my ferrets for an extended period of time and she made me feel so comfortable. As soon as my three huskies met Delaney, I knew I could travel without worry. They adored her! Since getting my younger two dogs, my husband and I have not travelled together without them, as we did not want to board them. So I am very happy I found Delaney who stayed at our house while we were away. She is very professional, great with communication and very polite. I received so many photographs, videos and updates and that made me feel better about being on the other side of the country. Delaney had brain games for my dogs to play. Delaney with Wild Iris was so incredible. She gave us updates everyday with photos and videos of our pets. We could tell she really cared about each one of them. She even left a little goodie bag of treats for them after she left for us to give to them. I couldn’t recommend her more!

My husband and I are military and leave our dog here when we travel out of state for 2 weeks for vacation. I hate leaving our dog in boarding but he LOVES it. Our dog cries every time he leaves haha! 1324 Spring Dr right off Parks Hiway close to mile 49.The Resort has been there for 8yrs.Nice place! Big yard all fenced for yourfur babies to stretch their legs and dig in the dirt. I looked at some pictures Of the inside,super clean,looks like they get private rooms, with twin bed's all made up and waiting for the next clients. . It's been rated a 4.9 ⭐ I'd take my pet there,I Wonder if they take Bearded dragon

Absolutely love this place. My husband and I were hesitant to board our dogs anywhere because our dogs were used to a pet sitter at our house. The people here are fantastic, they took excellent care of our dogs, and our dogs seemed to be very happy during their stay. We have now used them twice and our dogs are scheduled for another stay in the coming months. We highly recommend them and wont take our dogs anywhere else.

Our 2 dogs spent almost a week at Lakeside. They came home happy and healthy. I loved the pictures we received while our dogs were there. The communication and scheduling we super easy and all the staff was very nice. Would definitely send my dogs there again if necessary

I've been using Lakeside for years & my dog loves this place! She wags her tail as she eagerly runs to the gate to go in. She stayed 1 1/2 months this time & I could see her smiling in the photos they sent throughout the weeks. I was stress-free knowing that she was happy & in good hands.

Today will be my pups first day at Lakeside Pet Retreat. So far I'm scoring them five stars for their enthusiasm, attention to detail, and absolutely beautiful facility. I'm excited to see what my pup thinks!

We used Lakeside Pet Retreat for the first time this past weekend. We have an elderly dog who had never spent nights away at a boarding facility. We are so thankful we found this place, it was on the way for us, as we were heading from the Valley to Denali National Park. When I walked in, I felt comforted because the facility smelled wonderful, was incredibly welcoming and squeaky-clean. Upon check-in, we were shown a “mock“ room similar to where our girl would be spending two nights. Before her stay began, I had a few questions which were answered compassionately and patiently. They even provided us a photo of her stay while we were away. When we picked her up, she was wearing the most adorable popsicle bandana. As she has gotten older, we have changed up her food routine and make her ground beef which is mixed in with her regular food. We provided the beef and her regular food, and Lakeside ensured she received both during feeding times. Our dog also does not get along well with others. We were given the option of allowing her to stay by herself, with her own private patio to do her business. Quite frankly, I was amazed at the price we paid, more than reasonable. Thank you so much Lakeside Pet Retreat, we are pleased to have found you and thank you for taking such good care of our fur baby.

This was my baby's first time being boarded and away from me, for 8 days total. I had so much anxiety and searched high and low. I gambled on Lakeside Pet Retreat and was rewarded with my decision. The staff upon arrival was diligent with their questions about Brooklyn (my dog) and my concerns over her being old (14) and wanting to be alone. She had her own room with a private patio to go potty in and they even let her have the yard to herself to play. They sent multiple pics every day which was so appreciated and made me feel like my girl was safe and in a healthy environment. 10/10 approve and recommend

We needed a flexible boarding place for when my son was born. Its hard to find somewhere that will work with an unknown date. Alaska TLC kennels were easy to communicate with. Fast to answer questions and really helped ease the stress. They sent pictures and used my homemade frozen dog food without complaint. Our doggo came back calm and happy which tells me he had a lot of good interactions. I highly recommend it with no complaints I can think of.

I would Absolutely recommend boarding your furry friends here. My husband and I don't board often and when we do we prefer to have our dogs spoiled. I felt that TLC took the time to listen to our dogs needs before they got there. And since it was the dogs first time let them explore the facility while I was still there. Our dogs seemed tired and happy when we picked them up.

Our puppy, Friendly, had a two and a half week stay with TLC. She loved her stay! She was able to play with other dogs. She always went from being timid around strangers to being excited. Friendly came how with an actual smile on her face. Her first few days she was scared but after talking on the phone with the staff they informed me that they would sit with her and hand feed her during meal time until she was comfortable. Went above and beyond for our pup’s first boarding experience!

I used both the day care service and the overnight kennel service and it was a wonderful experience. I had never kenneled my boy Stark before so we used the daycare to acclimate him to the facility before his stay, and he loved it. They did a great job of catering to his not always friendly personality toward other dogs and found a way for him to get to play and socialize in a safe manner for everyone! Not only did they work around his occasional dog aggression they did what they could to make him comfortable during his week long stay, moving him around to try and calm his anxiety. I will definitely be using Alaska TLC Kennels again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a kennel or daycare service.

Alaska TLC Kennels Team took excellent care of my 4 Belgian Malinois working dogs all 4 of my dogs were there for 32 days and they were in excellent shape when I picked them up I wouldn’t ever board my dogs anywhere else hands down!!!

My dog recently spent just over a week at Alaska TLC Kennels and we could not be happier with the care she recieved. It was obvious that she was happy and well cared for while we were away, and we plan to use this kennel again when needed.

Doggy Adventures is top-notch! We adopted a 3-month-old mixed-breed (German shepherd, lab, and husky) puppy from rural Alaska through a rescue group based out of the MSB. She is a brilliant and energetic dog that requires a lot of physical and mental exercise. The professional dog trainer we met with in November 2022 referred us to Doggy Adventures. The trainer explained that our dog needed to run free in addition to her other training (swimming lessons, obedience classes, leash walking) and socialization. We have been using Doggy Adventures’ services since December 2022. Doggy Adventures offers many forms of training and activities. Our dog goes on group off-leash runs/walks twice a week. She also has one-on-one training sessions with owner Melanie Carey for leash walking, running attached to a bicycle, pet-friendly store inside socialization, and appropriate behavior in those environments. Their pricing is up-front and well worth the fees. After every adventure, we feel like we're part of a team. Doggy Adventures sends us an email with photos, videos, and a recap of the day’s activities. We discuss what behaviors need training and how we can reinforce each other. We also celebrate the good and improving behaviors. It's a collaborative approach that we love. Doggy Adventures has covered a wide range of training areas, from respect for wildlife like moose and birds to recall, settling, and redirection. We've also worked on proper play behavior, stopping jumping up on us and others, demanding barking, and greeting us properly when we get home, especially if we have packages in our arms. At the same time, we’ve had no issues with Resource Guarding (food/toys). The owner, Melanie, is even trained to work with reactive dogs. The comprehensive training program has reassured us about our dog's development. We are never concerned about our dog’s safety when she is out with Doggy Adventures, and we reap the benefits when she returns home!! They are top-notch and a big part of our dog’s life, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We could go on and on, but we obviously think they are great and an extension of our dog’s family!!

I recently started using Doggy Adventures after shoulder surgery for my active 11-month old Golden Retriever, Ollie. He needed exercise and reinforcement of good leash manners and basic obedience, as well as time to play. Melanie's personnel have supported these goals and their scheduling software makes doing business with her easy and stress free. She is responsive to scheduling requests and provides feedback, photos, and videos after every walk. This has been a life-saver during my recovery and I plan to continue to use her company as needed to fill in. I do recommend her business.

We are thrilled to enjoy Melanie’s biweekly visits ! The email updates make me smile knowing my Maddie is having a wonderful time. We lost Maddie’s brother recently and this has been a perfect distraction for her while im at work!

My super sweet but timid pup was anxious at normal boarding facilities so we put her with Melanie and she absolutely LOVED it. She got daily walks, socialization in small groups, yummy food, and even got to volunteer. Melanie totally spoiled her and I was actually able to enjoy my trip knowing she was having a fabulous vacation of her own.

My experience with Doggie Adventures has been amazing! Communication is great and she made my pups comfortable from the start. My favorite part is the email update that tells me all about their walk and makes it sound like a real adventure. The accompanying pics are always precious. They offer a wide range of services so there are lots of options to keep your fur babies happy and entertained. This is a professional outfit and everyone is trained not just “good with dogs”. I am beyond grateful and ecstatic that I found Doggy Adventures. Melanie has been absolutely fantastic. She has taken my pup in as one of her own. We recently relocated to Alaska from Tennessee and have been dealing with lots of anxiety and allergies. The military has kept me extremely busy and without a solid routine since our move. Melanie has gone above and beyond to take care of my girl while I am working long hours and unable to give my gal the attention and exercise she needs during the day. Melanie took the time to meet my pup and really learn her mannerisms. Ariel, my 9 year old German Shepherd, could not be in better hands away from me. I get pictures, videos and continuous updates on how she is doing through her day with Doggy Adventures. Melanie has been the absolute best! Our dogs love her and she's excellent at updating and communicating throughout her visits. When we had a difficult experience with one of our pups she was compassionate and showed so much empathy, I'm so thankful she's on our team and feel comfortable leaving my picky girl in her hands when we aren't home.

We love Doggy Adventures! Our pup loves going out weekly to spend time outdoors while we’re at work. The staff is caring and extremely knowledgeable. We trust that every time our dog goes out with them that she’ll return home safe and sound. They also work to reinforce her obedience training, which is so helpful! We hired Doggy Adventures for 3 drop-in visits per day while we were out of town on a short trip. We were initially hesitant to do so, as the safety and happiness of our 3 fur kids is of upmost importance. Melanie was able to set our minds at ease, as did the daily emails with updates including photos and videos which were so fun! Thank you!

We found A Happy Dog after trying a different boarding place first when trying to find one that worked for our super social lab. The first one was alright, but there wasn't any dog interaction. A Happy Dog has been MILES better in every way, and our first visit immediately put us all at ease. Everyone we've interacted with has been super helpful, accommodating, and shown true love and excitement for our boy. He gets SO excited when we drop him off, and he comes back so happy and worn out 😂 it's so reassuring when I call to see about boarding space and the second I mention my dogs name, I hear the girl on the line go "oh Argos!!! Yes!!! We love him!!". Edited to add a photo of him being so tired and calm after playing all day that he won't even touch the new toy I bought him!

My dog has been coming here for the last few months and I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They do such a good job taking care of her. She is so excited to go hang out with her friends whenever I drop her off, and I know she is safe and supervised playing with dogs her own size. She gets loads of outside time and absolutely adores the staff. Again, I can't say enough good things about this place

My dog is a sweet, gentle soul, but Happy Dog Day Camp wouldn't even allow us to schedule a behavior test (which my dog has always passed) because he's a Staffy. It's one of the most misunderstood breeds that faces widespread misjudgment, and this institution upholds and supports those stereotypes. For a dog daycare business, behavior/temperament should be the primary consideration, not breed. Focusing on behavior, rather than breed, creates a safer, more enjoyable daycare environment. This approach also helps reduce breed discrimination, which this business is actively supporting. It makes me question their knowledge and expertise in this field.

This is my dog waiting patiently to go to daycare. She loves it there, and I enjoy dropping her off because I can see how excited she gets as we pull into the parking lot. I have been going there for several years and I am pleased with the services I have received. My dog also does overnight boarding and this allows me peace of mind because I know she is well taken care of and I don't have to worry about her while I'm away!

I recommend this place to everyone. My dogs are so well taken care of here. Even when I pull up in the parking lot, my dogs know where we are and they start jumping up and down with excitement. They don't even want to come home when I pick them up. The staff is fantastic and keeps all the dogs safe and entertained. Thank you Happy Dog!

They offer unbelievable rates and service. The staff has worked so patiently with our Sadie every weekday for nearly two years now and we count ourselves very lucky to be customers. Can't say enough about the care and attention they provide even on the busiest of days. Great place, great employees

So far so great. I have an activity tracker on my dog and it shows he gets tons of active hours during the day. He gets home tired out. When I take him to dog park, he knows a lot better of how to play with other dogs after going to the day care. So far, my goals of letting him get good exercise, learn better social skill has all been achieved. The price is very reasonable as well. I plan to let him spend couple days a week regularly.

We've been taking our pup here for a little less than a year and she loves it! She gets super excited in the morning when we drop her off and pick her up in the evening. We love the friendly staff, reasonable prices, and convenient location. We also love the cute paw print artwork :) 10/10 would recommend!
