Isla (my Mini-Labradoodle) has been going to Camp Puppies since she was 6 months old and I couldn't be more grateful to have someone as amazing as Kacy as Isla's second mom. When we moved to the South Bay from San Luis Obispo, we didn't find a good fit with any of the local kennels and knew that our Isla needed more personalized attention, exercise, and love. I stumbled upon Camp Puppies on Google, and couldn't be happier that Kacy was willing to take Isla into the pack. Through working with Kacy during weekly walks and occasional overnights, Isla has become a more confident and social little lady. She always comes home super tired and I always know how much fun she had from the photos and videos sent by Kacy. Our sweet, senior pug is treated like a tiny prince at Camp Puppies! Kacy truly loves every pup she works with as if they were her own. She is attentive, thoughtful, and gives **all** the love there is to give towards each and every dog in her care. We absolutely love Kacy, can't say enough good things about her and our dogs feel the same way! Kacy takes our dogs on great long walks often to exciting and new places nearby, which they love. We love Camp Puppies! I’ve sent my pup to Chrissy for plenty of long weekends, and even sent her to Puppies while I spent time abroad. I always receive plenty of pictures and updates so I know my pup is in great hands. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Chrissy is a godsend! We were introduced to Chrissy by accident by a neighbor who absolutely raved about her dog walker. We had always wanted to get a dog walker for our dog but have trust issues and never took the plunge. Kacy has been the best bud and walker for our wiggly, reactive pitbull Lola. She also walks our dog Radar who is a shelter doggo that is still learning not to pull. Kacy takes them on long walks and trips to fun parks that they look forward to each week. Our whole family loves Kacy! <3

Very happy with the care and attention our older Shih Tzu received during a 10-day stay. She's never boarded with anyone other than her vet, so we were concerned about having to change things up due to scheduling conflicts. The vet highly recommended ESPR and our happy dog today at pick-up says it all. The staff were communicative and friendly throughout, and gave me ample info on her progress after her first day and at the conclusion of her stay. Highly recommend!

I had a last-minute out-of-state job and needed a place to leave my dog. Kylie walked me through the process of making an appointment on their website, and she was very patient. They welcomed me and took good care of my dog, providing me with daily updates. I highly recommend this place for your animals.

Wonderful place with excellent service. Nice staff, clean, caring. They provide a happy and loving environment for cats & dogs. Very responsible and helpful. The rooms are furnished like a mini-home and they have a lot of worthwhile extra services, like photos and updates on your pets while they stay. It's expensive but staff is excellent and very caring. Great grooming & vaccine services too, make things very easy.

took my dog bella to stay for about 5 days while traveling. i was anxious as i was taking my other dog and they had never been separated for long. Bella had a great time and seemed to enjoy the extra attention. seemed to be very happy and when i picked her up she looked exactly as i had dropped. still very white and clean. Staff is very friendly!

Called to find out specifics for boarding conditions for my dog prior to him being shipped overseas and was met with a total lack of professionalism. I was asking questions like size of kennel, number of walks per day, if there is staff onsite after-hours in case of emergency, whether I can visit my dog during the day and spend time with him since I am at local hotel. The office person kept referring to the pet transporter and refused to answer basic questions. Only meant to better understand how my dog would be treated. After the fourth question, she hung up on me. Would not take my return call since they can see my number. Think very hard if you are thinking of boarding here. My dog is a family member and this is only the first social media posting I am making in the hopes of saving other pet owners the stress of an incompetent facility.

Spectacular job on my big girls nails. Husky wasn't wet...nice and fluffy and smelled good. I had some questions and my girl was happy to try to go back in. Now THAT impresses me. She is very submissive and they didn't terrify her like a groomer did at another place. Yeppers....she's MY pet.....and she gave 2 paws up!

They truly love animals. They are taking excellent care of my babies prior to moving to New Zealand. Plenty of room and actual attention from the staff. Very pleased. I do not know where to start... since joining Melissa's Mutt Hutt earlier last year, Melissa and her team were very welcoming and made it know they were excited for me to join them. Everyone is very helpful, training was informative, which lead to me never feeling uncomfortable branching on my own. I have had been lucky to work with great clients and their pups. I mainly board dogs in my home, and they are all well trained and have not had any issues. You should feel 100 percent comfortable having MMH take care of any of your pets!

We have been working with Melissa's Mutt Hutt for the past 6 months for daily walks and last minute boarding at a walker's house when away for the weekend. They are very responsive communicating through the app or via email/text when last minute and send wonderful updates. I can tell from the way they welcome my pet when they come to pick her up that these people are genuine dog lovers and passionate about the work they do.

I can’t stress how much I love this business. I’ve used them for both walks and sitting for my two dogs and they are just over and above fantastic every time. Really like the sitter Kaia we had last time.

After working for two years with another dog walking/pet sitting company, we moved out of their normal area of service, and had to find pet care on short notice. With a shy and anxious dog who is nervous of strangers and sometimes reactive to other dogs on leash, finding a trusted dog walker is no easy task. I found MMH on Yelp and gave them a call. Melissa called me back within 24 hours, and Sarah came out that week to meet me and my dog and assured me that Allison would be able to take care of our pup. As we still had a few walks scheduled with our previous walker, they even coordinated a time for Allison to join our old walker on one of their last visits and help our dog adjust to the change. Allison is amazing, and we are so lucky to have found her! She took the time to get to know and build trust with our dog. Our dog loves her, she sends the best photos and updates after each visit, and she really goes above and beyond to keep us informed of any concerns. We’ve worked with lots of great dog walkers over the years, but she is the best when it comes to communication. We have regularly scheduled weekly walking, but MMH has also always been able to accommodate our one-off requests. This is one of the benefits of working with a larger company. If we need a one-off walk, and Allison isn’t available, MMH has always been able to find someone, and Allison regularly introduces our dog to other walkers so that there are multiple people who can fill in when needed. We’ve also used MMH for overnight, in-home care, and again, MMH has always been able to accommodate our requests and we’ve had positive experiences with all the walkers/sitters so far.

I've been working with Melissa's Mutt Hutt for 3+ years now for my 2 dogs. I couldn't ask for a more dependable, trustworthy, personalized and flexible company -- all things that are important for someone like me that travels a great deal for work. As a new client, Melissa will come to your house, meet your dogs, and ask detailed questions about them. She'll then work to make sure your dogs are 'matched' with a great Mutt-Hutter. There have been many instances where I have last minute travel -- and Melissa is always very accommodating. And when I travel I don't think twice because I know that she and her wonderful group of Mutt-Hutters will treat my dogs as they would their own -- so I never have to be worried. In addition to boarding services, my dogs are also walked multiple times a week -- which means I get a detailed note about how the dogs did on their walk when I get home from work! I treat my dogs like children -- so I mean it when I say that Melissa's Mutt Hutt has been wonderful and I won't think of anyone else to watch and walk my dogs!

Melissa has been providing her services to my dog, Max for about 3 years now and I trust her with him completely. He is the most important thing in the world to me so it was imperative to find someone I could trust to treat him as their own when I am out of town. I am never out of the loop as to how Max is doing and always get plenty of pictures and videos, which keeps my mind at ease so I can be present wherever I am. She and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and provide a quality service that makes you feel like you are their only client. I am eternally grateful for Melissa's Mutt Hutt!

I don't even own a dog, but, I know Melissa personally, and after watching her with some pets at her home recently (and with homeless kids at a Christmas party she organized for them!), I had to write a review. I've seen Melissa's standards of what treating a living thing with care and kindness is, and I can assure you, they are at the highest level. One does not meet a person like her, with the heart that she has, and the actions to back it up, every day. In short, I would trust her with anything that is important to me and highly recommend her.

Barbie and her team at Superstar Petsitter was a wonderful find for me and my neighborhood of dogs. Her sitters go above and beyond and give the fur babies so much love that I wonder if they like our petsitter more. They are capable, easygoing and stick to my rules for my pups. I am so happy I found Barbie and team. We have a rescue cat that tends to be very nervous when we travel. Barbie and team definitely put us at ease checking in on Walter and sending updates and pictures through their app. They are reliable, kind and love cats and I know when I need to use their services, I’m always in great hands.

Leslie is great with my puppy! He really loves daycare in her yard, which offers a good amount of space for running and fetching toys. I'm glad that I found someone who can give him the attention he needs, because he has so much energy and is very affectionate. Her doggy daycare services are great, and she takes any sized dog which is really helpful. She has also overnighted him before, he's a big dog, and she had enough space for his crate overnight. All the services that 2 Paws Up Pet Care are great, and I've been a repeat customer for the last year!

Leslie takes excellent care of both of our two pups - each with very different needs. One is a "genetic anomaly" and the other is a cancer patient. They are each a little high-maintenance in their own ways. They both enjoy spending time with her, and the other friends they get to play with when they are there. We can tell just by all the tail-wagging when we pull up to the house. We are quite selective with who can watch our girls - and have tried many options - Leslie is far and away atop of that very short list. "10-out-of-10, highly recommend."

My favorite cat of all time (and I'm a cat lover), Rocky, loved 2PawsUp Pet Care! Normally, when I get back from a trip, he greets me with a loud "Where the hell have you been?" meow. This time, when I picked him up at Leslie's, he barely noticed me; he was completely content. This was my first experience there because I am from out of town (my scheduled care couldn't do it, and I was leaving from LAX for a trip etc...). Anyway, Rocky, apparently, got the royal treatment boarding with Leslie. He got brushed, enjoyed some catnip and looked like he ate quite well. I would definitely recommend 2Paws Up to any cat lover!

We used 2PawsUp and Leslie to take care of our cat Gabby for 8 days recently while we went out of town. We are delighted with their services. In the past we have hired Catsitters who spend about 5 minutes putting food out and cleaning the litter box and then gone. No attempts to engage with our cat. Leslie (and Diane) were the opposite. They spent 30-40 minutes here always seeking out Gabby and spending time with her. We were worried she might prefer Leslie and Diane to us when we got home! Also they took care of minor household chores like taking in the mail and putting out the trash bins. We are really excited to find a Catsitter who takes pride in making sure our cat is happy and well cared for. Five stars. 2PawsUp is our permanent cat care solution!

I’m very particular about who watches my golden retriever girly. GD was totally the right choice. I have been taking her for daycare when I have to work long days, and boarding when I’m out of town or have a late night at a concert, etc. The facility is cage-free even with boarding and they are with a human 24/7. I have so much peace knowing that she’s always in the best care. They post lots of pictures on instagram too, so you can how much FUN your furry friend is having. I feel like I’m dropping my dog off at recess every time and I’m lowkey jealous. You also have the option to have them groomed before pick up (for an extra charge) so that they aren’t super smelly after playing so much. All around so happy I have a place for my pup.

Grateful Dogs has been a lifesaver for my nervous rescue. She used to be afraid of everyone would wait for me by the gate when she first started. Now “daycare” is her favorite word. She has become so much more social, both with people and other dogs and I give so much credit to Grateful Dogs and their wonderful staff for their patience and love for that progress. I also love that they are crate-free for overnights, a huge must for my dog who loves to snuggle at night and was traumatized by a crate. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I love it I love it I love it! I have trusted GD with my dogs for years. No cages no kennels and they truly care for your pets. The staff are all wonderful people who love dogs and always go above and beyond. If you overnight your dog there, your pet will sleep in a room …with a human! Any special feeding instructions… not a problem. Medications, not a problem. They truly do it all and I appreciate the entire staff.

They are the best, best, best. Took care of my GSD throughout her life, made special accommodations for her when she was disabled. Cannot say enough good things about them. Their care for her for almost 10 years was just amazing.

Grateful dogs is a great daycare. Shortly after I dropped my pup off at Grateful dogs, the staff immediately noticed he wasn't feeling well. They brought my dog out of circulation as to protect the other pups and himself. They worked with me and communicated often until I could arrange for an early pick up. The experience was highly professional and I was/am extremely appreciative that they took such precaution to protect the health of the rest of dogs at daycare as well as my sick pup. This facility is highly professional, knowledgable, and caring of the dogs. Highly recommend!

If you haven't been here for the tour nothing i say will convince you like the staff there will. So patient with all the dogs, the facility is great, no cages or crates. Plan ahead if you are thinking of using the service as your dog will need to do a trial. We are always happy with the staff and service!

The best! We’ve been bringing our dog to Grateful Dogs for both daycare and overnight boarding for close to 8 years. He loves it!

In general an ok place, but I agree with several reviews of this place that it feels sometimes like a cold business-finance + rules first environment. It took a lot of energy but I managed to develop a personable relationship with a few folks that work at the front, which made it better. Unfortunately, the owners don't seem to have a "customer first" attitude when discussing scenarios that might be out of the ordinary for your pet. They don't interact with customers a lot it seems (surprising for a service industry). Long-term customer satisfaction and business excellence are not all on their top goal list - seem to be about the bottom line only. Would recommend to folks just needing some place to keep their dog and don't where else to go, but not to the family that wants the best place for their dog and for their money long term. We've been going to Grateful Dogs for years but now we stopped. We think there are better Dog Day places in the South Bay that have both the overall business quality, long-term customer approach, as well as the day-to-day staff friendliness.

Picked up my fiance from work here. She loves her coworkers and all the pups she works with, talks about a different set each day. I worked here temporarily as well, so I bear witness when I say that your pup will have a great time here. More than enough socialization with other dogs, tentivness from staff, and consideration for down time once your pup gets exhausted or overwhelmed. Dogs thrive here :)

Westside Pet Sitters has been taking care of my cat Henry every time I go out of town. It's a local service and they knew my apartment and neighborhood from taking care of previous pet owners. Shari is great and did a quick interview to get acquainted with me and Henry, and then does in-house visits which is great for Henry. Email and SMS both work for booking appointments, and she sends pictures every day while I'm gone.

Shari has been walking my greyhound 4 times a week for several months now and she takes such great care of him. I can see how much she actually cares for all of the animals, and he obviously loves her too. She has been an amazing dog walker and I'm always recommending her to all my friends. Shari and her crew have been caring for our cats for almost 6 years now. I can’t say enough about how professional she is, how much she loves our fur babies, and how much I trust her with all my heart when my husband and I have to go out of town! Our oldest cat is fairly prickly and is on critical meds twice a day, but Shari always gives him the best care and is so sweet and loving. She always gives us picture updates and even takes extra steps like asking if we want the AC left on if it’s a hot day. Shari is always very responsive to our texts or calls. I sometimes hear from her within minutes! Her prices are very reasonable considering her thoroughness. I wholeheartedly recommend Westside Pet Sitters to everyone!

We have been using Westside Pet Sitters 4-5x/week for over 2 years since we adopted our dog and have absolutely loved our experience! Shari is always super communicative, able to accommodate last minute walk requests, and is a delight to work with. Our dog has some leash reactivity and can be a handful to walk, but Shari and her team have always been so sweet with him and have used the same training methods we use, so I've always felt very well aligned with them. It seems that they all truly love animals and understand them. From our experience shopping around prior to choosing Westside, we found their prices to be on par with other local services, but got a much faster, warmer response from Shari and have used her ever since!

Shari takes great care of my kitties when I go away. She sends me pictures of them daily which are great to get; I don’t worry about them when I can see they are well cared for. Her rates are cheap. She is very dependable. I recommend her highly.

Ever since we moved back to LA, Down Dog Lodge has been a favorite place to go for our pup, Rufus. The staffs take such good care of him and they are all genuine dog lovers. He is constantly playing with other dogs when I peep at DDL’s instagram account. I also really appreciate how strict they are about the temperament test to make sure all dogs they accept are well mannered as we have definitely experienced some annoying but could-become-dangerous encounters at the dog parks in the past. We used to send our second dog, Luna, who passed away unexpectedly during a surgery. During such a difficult time, the entire DDL staffs wrote a card for her even though they met her only 2-3 times. Yes, the place can be a bit pricey but it’s totally worth it!

DDL is huge with tons of clean running around space for dogs . The front desk is staffed with loving, kind and caring people . Our 6 month Goldendoodle loves and gets super excited in the car when we are turning into the parking lot and He comes home exhausted . There are many cute and well behaved dogs at DDL .

We love DDL. Our sweet Charly not only has a safe and fun place to play, but a second family. As busy working parents Down Dog Lodge is an essential part of Charlys team. The staff is warm, flexible and always happy to see our boy! Highly recommend this amazing place.

We love Down Dog for our puppy. We had a great experience with the 2 step temperament test and with using the Gingr app for scheduling reservations. Our boy seems to love it and is happy to enter their door. So happy to have found our local spot for him!Not only is it local to our town of El Segundo, but the people there are great with him. Booking through the app has been very convenient. I do wish we get more photos in real time while he is there because we miss our boy! We can tell he loves going there and he always comes back tired and happy because he plays so much with all the other dogs. Thanks for everything!

As a first time dog owner I'm very protective and particular about what type of establishment I entrust with my dogs care. And this place has been amazing! Extremely communicative and thorough regarding the new client process and very happy to answer the list of questions I had. My Goldendoodle rescue is 58 lbs but he was a little timid and scared with the other big dogs so they let him hang with the littles! I so appreciate that because I'm convinced he's a shy 10 lb pup in a large dog body. They were very on top of reading his comfort level and made the appropriate accommodations for him. The campus is VERY clean, modern and highly organized. I feel a great sense of relief that I have found a place that I can trust with my special dude. I can not wait to take Bogart back!

Down Dog Lodge has been the best place to send our dog Bruce! Every single employee here genuinely loves and cares for each dog (including their owners). They do a temperament test for each dog so they can ensure a happy and healthy play environment. They provide other services on site like teeth cleaning, grooming, and training which makes it very convenient for our busy life. Brucey and I both love Down Dog and would highly recommend this wonderful place for your dogs care.

We’ve been taking our two pups to DDL for well over one year and they absolutely love it there! It’s so great catching a glimpse of them romping around with their friends through the DDL insta stories. The staff:pup ratio is amazing and they truly receive plenty of attention. The pick up/drop off hours are pretty good and they’re flexible with off-hour accommodations for a fee. Definitely the place to go with if you live in the South Bay.

I'm so glad that this place was recommended to me by another dog mom. Sancho (see photos) is so excited everytime he gets dropped off, and so happy when he gets picked up (and exhausted from all the playtime). It gives both of us a good break where I get to work without distraction and he gets all the playtime and attention he wants from the amazing staff. I also love that they have training center onsite that if there was something I wanted to him to learn more of then I can hire an experienced professional to train while he is there. We love DDL.

We’ve really grown attached to DDL ever since we got our husky. He always comes back home exhausted and makes new friends every time. We love this spot!

Ally McPets is a godsend for those trying to arrange care for their pets when drawn out-of-town for fun or work! We were scrambling to find someone who could care for a 10-week year old kitten we rescued two weeks before a previously scheduled vacation. I really enjoy working with Jill and her team. They take great care of my two cats. They always show up when scheduled, which is a big stress reliever. They take care of everything - feeding, litter, water, love and play. And even take in the mail and packages and water the plants. Jill even saved my kitties life when they she had swallowed a long length of paracord! Jill notifies me of what's going on, and sends cute pictures. I'll definitely keep using Ally McPets.

My dog loved staying here! I was travelling through the area and needed to leave my dog somewhere for a few hours. After being rejected by two nearby places that require a multi-day "orientation" process, Howie's was the only one able to accommodate us on short notice (as long as we provided the proper vaccination records). The staff was very caring towards the dog, and were able to calm her down and help her get acclimated to staying with other dogs. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to support a local business & know that your dog is safe and well cared for.

Every morning, my pup patiently sits by the door as I get ready for work, knowing she's going to get to go to day care. She's very energetic, and gets extremely happy when I drop her off. She's well taken care of by an excellent staff, and she has plenty of room to run around (average of 9 miles) everyday inside the building. Highly recommend!!

***Howie's Doggie Day Care does not accept Staffordshire Terriers, Pit mixes, Rottweilers or Akitas. Crucial information that is completely absent from their website.*** Though I disagree with their decision to prohibit certain breeds from the facility, it's their business and the owner, Tony Morales, can run it how he sees fit. However, I have a huge issue with my time and money being wasted after I went out of my way to adhere to his requirements for admission, which it turns out aren't even accurate! I went back and reviewed the website to make sure I wasn't going crazy and nowhere does it state that they don't accept certain breeds. Not in the acceptance of terms. Not on the home page. Not even on the eligibility page! How is it that such a crucial piece of information is completely omitted? Not only that, but they have a pit mix pictured in their web banner! I also had a detailed conversation about the vaccination requirements during which they never questioned me about the breed of my dog. If they don't accept certain breeds, why not ascertain this information from potential clients so as not to waste their time? I went to the vet this morning at 7:30 am in order to get the vaccination that they require for admission. Even though my vet recommends my dog receive this only once a year, the doggie day care said he has to get Bortedella every 6 months. My dog is 9 years old and the last thing I want to do is pump his body full of drugs he doesn't need. Once I arrived at Howie's for the meet & greet, Tony revealed to me that he doesn't accept Staffie-Pit mixes and his "apology" was unsatisfactory to say the least, especially after having wasted my time and money. And my poor dog left feeling rejected. Sniffle, sniffle. I've requested that the owner update his site and other company communications to reflect his breed restrictions. I'd hate for another person to have to go through such an ordeal just to provide their dog with a boarding option.

I’m very disappointed with Howies. The phone number listed is out of service. I have sent them an email as well as filling out their contact info & have never gotten a response. Has this happened to anyone else?
