Never skimps a task or a request, very practical and great mechanical skills, but also super-organised and efficient. His only flaw is the Man Utd obsession—bit worrying. Fantastic service from start to end. Met James a couple of weeks prior to going on holiday. James was very thorough in finding out about Lady- Lady felt completely comfortable straight away when we visited James house on a visit. James had a very calming relaxed approach and made me feel relaxed and welcome also. Whilst away on holiday I checked in on Lady and was sent an email and pictures to confirm she was enjoying her holiday with the other doggies and James. The pictures showed Lady relaxed at James house and having lots of fun out on walks. I would definitely recommend James’ dog services and will be using James dog care services again when needed.

Amazing! James is such a dog lover and looked after our 3 tiny dogs. They love going on walks with him. James also house sits while we go away and our dogs are well looked after and have lots of cuddles and love from James. Our dogs are happy with James, and my home is spotless and clean when I come home! Thank you so very much The dogs miss you! See you soon

We left our two miniature schnauzers for the first time with Jo & Pat for 10 days to get married abroad, they took such good care of them and gave us peace of mind to enjoy our wedding and honeymoon! Loved seeing pictures of them on Facebook having a great time in Jo & Pats field - looks like they had the best holiday too! Would recommend them to anyone looking for a safe place for their furry family members if you’re going away on holiday!

First time I've had someone come into my home to feed my indoor cats whilst on holiday and needed to as one cat now gets car sick so is distraught when travelling. From the outset of reaching out for a quote and to end the communication was fantastic and quick. I came back from holiday to 2 very happy and purry cats. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again. Very good value for money.

We've used Jo's Paws for puppy visits, dog walks and overnight stays. They are very professional and obviously care about looking after our dog (I'm sure they are just as good with cats etc). Our dog is always excited to see them and can't wait to get into their van. Highly recommended!

I left our dog with Jo and Pat for a week whilst on holidays. I was nervous about leaving him but there was no need. I picked up a very happy healthy dog at the end of the week!!

Where so I start with my review on Walk On owned by Ms Vanessa Barr? Well, to start with, Vanessa is the only home boarder I will ever send my French Bulldogs to. She is fabulous! Years of experience caring for all types of animals including horses and sheep! She is genuinely a caring, loving, true animal person! She has a 5 STAR COUNCIL LICENCE, full insurance, and is fully pet first aid trained. She is absolutely lovely and so are her family. She lives in a stunning barn conversation in Inskip with private land, including a private woodland where my boys can exercise off lead in a safe and enclosed environment. I never worry when I leave my two with Vanessa and her family. Infact when I go to pick them up they don't want to come home because they are having such a fab time there! So in short - I 1000% highly recommend Walk On! Emma Livesey (Chorley).

Absolutely 1st class service. Was worried about handing my fur babies over but Charlotte put my mind at ease and sent lotd of pics and videos of their walk. The biggest thing for me was when fur babies got home how happy they obviously were and how they had bonded with Charlotte. Highly recommend Walk On.

Just like to say thank you ! I left Jess here for a week. A little unsure at first because I have never used Home Dog Boarding but I certainly will from now on! Attention to detail was great and I received photo's and messages regularly - thanks again I will be using you in the future.

Paul is a true dog whisperer, my Springer Bobby who is difficult to walk and Cocker spaniel Winston who is very stubborn absolutely loved their walks from Paul. Our mind was totally at rest that our babies was living their best life while we were away. I would 100% recommend and would not even look for anyone else to walk our dogs in the future. No stress no worries just happy Bobby and Windton.

Paul looked after our Labrador for us for 3 nights at his home. We were really pleased with everything and would use him again. I’d recommend his services if you have a pet that needs to be boarded overnight but you’d prefer you pet to be with someone in their home than left in kennels.

A super service leaving my mind totally at rest- these lovely folks adore animals and my 2 very nervous dogs were well taken care of and bonded quickly with Paul and his lady- highly recommend- it is so important to have faith in those who look after your loved ones.

Just to let you know my choice of dog walker for the Lytham area was We love pets Lytham. Can recommend this service wholeheartedly.

If you’re looking for the most amazing place to take your dogs with peace of mind they are loved,cared for and make lots of new friends this is the place to take your babies. I was so worried about leaving my clingy Cockapoo but as soon as I went to visit bark lane I knew it was perfect! I met kahdine and she showed me around and me and my dog instantly felt welcomed and there was a calming vibe. The grounds are amazing for dogs all well secured and huge area to play till there hearts content. Both indoor and out door play areas. They accommodate for all. I saw the other dogs with kahdine and they love her! They follow her around to see what she is doing next! I wanted somewhere my little boy would be in a home and this is more than that it had a feel of everything centred to all the dogs staying here.❤️ 🐶🐾 thank you!!!

Bark Lane Home boarding was recommended to us by a friend. I contacted Khadine as we were looking to board our lively chocolate labrador Chester who is 2 years old, and has never been left with anyone. We took him for a meet and greet, and knew instantly he'd fit right in. The boarding facilities are second to none, with each doggy whether it be day care or boarding, treated like one of the family. Khadine asks that you complete a detailed summary of your dog's needs and is happy to cater for these. We needed to board Chester for 3 weeks. We were sent the most fantastic pictures of him living his best life, playing with his new found friends both fur and humans! He found himself in what was to be his idea of heaven. The grounds are extensive and include an indoor play area, dogs are even taken to an indoor play arena when the weather is wet. He has lived indoors with the most amazing family and has loved his stay. He whined all the way home when we collected him earlier today. The peace of mind knowing your fur baby is in expert hands is priceless, so a MASSIVE thank you to Khadine and all her family, for taking such great care of our furry clown. We have no hesitation in recommending Bark Lane to others either looking for boarding or day care. We will without doubt board him with Bark Lane again. Cannot recommend Alpha Pet Care service enough. Not only has Jen taught my dog to recall, but his obedience levels have raised in every direction. He comes home so happy and exhausted after a work out with Jen and the dogs. It's so wonderful to see the rapport that Jen has with dogs and my Freddie loves her so much. Knowing your walker loves dogs is such a plus point.

Poppy has thoroughly enjoyed her walks with alpha pet and the gang. Jenifer is brilliant with Poppy and runs a very professional service. This has helped Poppy to become socialised with other dogs.

Cannot recommend Alpha pet care highly enough. We use their services for cat sitting, and when i first contacted Alpha pet care I was very cautious as we have only ever trusted family to take care of our cats. However Jen put me at ease straight away, and we had an initial meeting to get to know her and get the cats approval of course. Jen was genuinely interested in their needs and we were impressed. fast forward 6months and we haven't looked back since, Molly, Luna and Rupert love their company and play time, and we love getting the updates a photos (really put our mind at ease when we were on our honeymoon). Thanks again guys!

I would highly recommend Alpha pet care. Jen came to look after our 3 cats whilst we were away. Jen kept in touch with little updates and the cats were happy when we got back. We will most definitely use Jen again , and will recommend without hesitation. A lovely lady and happy cats . Thank you

Our bouncy, excitable Labrador Retriever has been going for walks with Alpha pet care, Jen and James for a year now. He absolutely loves it and gets Super, crazy excited when he sees them which to me speaks volumes. It's great being able to see how much fun all the pooches have through the daily photos uploaded and each walk definitely leaves me with one sleepy doggy. Most importantly though it's so reassuring to know how well looked after our pooch is whilst with Jen and James. I most definitely recommend Alpha pet care to all.

We have been thrilled with the service provided by Jen for our cat. We have used a cattery before but we knew he didn’t love the experience (although I appreciate the security they give too). He is very much an outside cat; he doesn’t love being inside (home is his place for food, security and cuddles). We looked into the idea of a pet sitter for our holidays which would allow him to come and go as he pleased still. Jen came round and made us feel instantly at peace. She was very very accommodating with the fact he is raw fed and followed all feeding instructions. Whilst we were away for the two weeks we had loads of updates. As it turned out he was usually in when she went to put his food out and we know he was getting cuddles and attention. We came home to a very happy cat who was not at all stressed. We will certainly approach her again!

Alpha Pet Care has been part of our life now for over 2 years and i'd be lost without Jen and her pet services. I work full time and didn't want to leave Bruno alone all day. Then I found Alpha Pet Care. Jen came round to the house for an initial visit and she hit it off with Bruno straight away. She answered all my questions and made me feel at ease with leaving Bruno under her watch but also with leaving a key for my house with her. Jen is extremely reliable and gives us plenty of notice if there are days she can't do due to well earned Holidays (These are few and far between though). Jen updates me everyday with pictures of Bruno and his pals enjoying themselves on the beach and he is always shattered when he comes home. He now sits by the door waiting for Jen during week days and is always giddy to see her. Jen also now looks after Bruno when we go on holiday. He is a bit of a pampered pooch but loves going to stay with Jen and doesn't get stressed at all like he would in kennels. Jen and alpha pet care are now part of our family and they do an excellent job. Can't recommend them enough. A huge thumbs up from me and a high 5 paw from Bruno.

I have just used Jen for the first time and she looked after my dog George for 3 full days and nights. I was very happy to receive some texts and pictures letting me know he was safe and well. I found Jen easy to communicate with which was very reassuring as I was on holiday in Blackpool; I am not a local. So overall I was very happy with the service and George clearly loved Jen and her other pooches. Would highly recommend and hope to employ Jen again on my next visit as she made me feel as though I could relax and enjoy my trip knowing George was safe.

I would recommend alpha dog walking to anyone! Jen has been so helpful with us booking our walks in ad hoc and will always help when she can. Our dog lola loves the walks down the beach and I feel she has since become more confident around other dogs since walking with alpha. I also love the fact Jen is very active on Facebook and you can see the pictures of your dog on their walks x

I always use Kev and Suzanne at Elswick Kennels to look after both my springer spaniels when I go on holiday. My dogs always go in with waggy tails and that shows that they trust the team as much as I do. The dogs are well cared for, obviously loved, fed and exercised, and show no signs of stress when I pick them up. I couldn't recommend these guys enough for the professional, caring and friendly attitude to both me and my dogs!!

Finding a dog kennel that would take us during a busy holiday season was a bit of a daunting task, but I'm thrilled to say that when i found Elswick Kennels they exceeded all expectations. From the moment I spoke with Kevin, I was impressed by his passion and enthusiasm for our furry friends. What topped it all off was that our Vet also used this place for his dogs. Kevin is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my dog's specific needs and preferences, ensuring that he felt comfortable and happy throughout his stay. The attention to detail and personalized care truly sets this kennel apart. Overall, I highly recommend Elswick to anyone in need of a reliable and top-notch boarding facility for their furry companions. The exceptional care, friendly staff, and outstanding facilities make it the perfect choice. I'm grateful to have found such a wonderful place, and I know Murphy is too!

Cannot thank nor recommend Kev and Suzanne enough. I have two rescue mutts. One very laid back, the other scared of his own shadow so I was a tad nervous how the latter would cope. He absolutely settled quickly after Kev spent time with him when we first arrived and both have been collected in a very happy and great condition. Book with confidence!

Great Kennels. Great Staff. Our dog Diesel was very reluctant to go into the local kennels and it always was a bad start to any holiday. Now that we are with Elswick Kennels he actively runs from the car to greet Kevin or Suzanne. I highly recommend these kennels to any dog lover.

The BEST kennels! We have been using these kennels for years. Our dogs always have the best time here and it's so lovely to know that they are so welcomed and so well looked after. Our dogs are getting older and have various ailments but this is never too much trouble. We always feel comfortable leaving the dogs here whilst we go away as we know they are in great hands. The dogs love going to stay here too. Both owners are wonderful- so friendly and welcoming and we have complete trust in them. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend

Mr Eddie has been very well looked after while we have been away. Premises is secure and they really love dogs. No hesitation in recommending.

We booked our dogs in while we were going on holiday but our vet had not completed the card properly so they refused our dogs but we contacted a vet and e-mailed them the dogs card n they confirmed our dogs were vaccinated so we took the dogs back the refused our dogs again and became abusive we were due to fly on Sunday so all vets were closed we had to find another kennels and my other half missed the flight and had to pay for a flight the next day so missing the 1st day of our holiday. They have also done this to other people.

Our dogs have just had an absolutely brilliant 3 weeks with these guys! We just collected 4 happy, excited, well fed Chihuahuas. They were so well looked after, it was clear that they got to know all their little personalities and we got lots of updates via Facebook. Can't thank Kev and Suzanne enough, they'll miss you and of course their 'Nanna cuddles'... until our next hols!

Visited with a view to booking in our 2 dogs in near future. Was quite impressed and went ahead and made a booking. The owners seemed very caring and therefore feel at ease to leaving them at these kennels for the first time

Our 11 month old cairn stayed with Jen for 8 nights. I felt very confident knowing Jen would take great care of him, in fact being with other dogs whilst there has made him behave better at home so a win win. Would definitely recommend!

We took our dogs to Doghouse for their first home boarding holiday and we couldn't be happier with how it went. Stu & Jeni were so professional and took the best care of our dogs. Well my two boys Boswell my Cockerpoo and Bradley my Labradoodle had their short back & sides grooming session at The Doghouse today and I was amazed when I went to pick them up. I could tell the sheer hard work and perfection that had gone into their grooms I was absolutely delighted with their cuts they are perfect! This was our 1st time using Sundown they were happy for us to do a pre visit look around and explained their daily routine every day the dogs had out of kennel exercise in one of the their paddocks. Our dog is quite nervous in new situations so they placed him in their quieter kennel block. We contacted them half way through to see how he was doing and they followed up with a couple of photos on social media. We would use the kennels again in the future

Our girls Bess and Ruby have been staying at sundown for a few years now. They are always happy when they come home. Must say Liam has been so accommodating for us, sorting out dates that work for us, it never seems a problem for him. One of the girls is really nervous and she is so calm when we drop off or collect. They are always kept together which to them is home from home.

My dogs stayed at Sundown for 2 weeks in September 2024. They were collected by my daughter and found to be in a horrible state, stinking of manure and general dirt, so much so that her car had to be cleaned. Both dogs had severe diarrhoea and were noticeably thinner, and for several days after were cowering away. I have sent several emails to the owner of the kennels who continually fobs you off, promising explanations but then not replying. I have given him ample opportunity to reply but have received nothing. This is not the first time my dogs have been in kennels and not the first time they have been to Sundown but will certainly be the last. Please think carefully about using this place, the staff are friendly enough but that means very little when your pets come home in such a state. I wouldn't normally post a review like this but given the owner's refusal to engage with me and provide an explanation for the disgusting state of my dogs, I have been left with no choice.

I have used these kennels several times and always find the staff to be most accommodating with my 6 little dogs, sometimes at short notice. Staff are very friendly and the kennels are clean. I have booked to come back again for a few nights next month and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Ronnie had her first stay here this weekend just gone and seemed to be happy when she came out and when she got home. Greeted by a friendly chap on arrival and a lovely lady when we collected Ronnie. Also our dog was clean compared to other kennels she has stayed out so that is a huge bonus. 😊 She was happy and not withdrawn, like she has been elsewhere. She slept when she got home.

The team at Sundown always look after my lovely border collie really well. He trots in each time without a care in the world. Safety, kindness and dog-centred care is what I value. Dogs are well exercised and given lots of human contact. I have found all the staff to be flexible and helpful. Also, knowing I was anxious the first couple of times, they sent lovely photos and videos of him playing in the field.

We’ve used Sundown kennels on a number of occasions, for weekends & family holidays & Argo our dog always comes home very happy. We recently discovered they also offer “Doggie Day Care” or you can hire their exercise field. We’re delighted with the day care & the socializing it’s giving our new dog. Rachel sends regular pics, which is great, as is all her really helpful advice & tips to help with a young dog, she is very knowledgeable & clearly loves dogs. Can’t recommend enough !!

Very happy to leave my dog here and he s had many visits.staff are always helpful and accommodating, and he loves each of them,nothing is too much trouble even ensuring he gets his special diet met.Buddy absolutely loves staying and goes in tail wagging,smiling and without looking back every time. Honestly a brilliant place where he s looked after very well,and I never have to worry about him whilst I’m away.can’t recommend highly enough!

Love this place. Everyone here really knows dogs. The kennels have in and out spaces which is nice. Fairly priced. Really quick to reply. Dogs come out excitable and smelling pretty good considering it’s a kennel ha. And open over Xmas too!!
