Our Golden Retriever Loni has such fantastic time over the week with Alex & Alina. Great communication, and lots of photos & videos. I knew Loni was people that understood dogs and also really loved them. Could not recommend them enough.

Fantastic service!!! Easy and fast to communicate, very flexible and accommodating. Our dog loves Doggy Nose Best, you can tell by how excited he gets when we are by the gate. While our doggy is looked after at Doggy Nose Best, we get videos and pictures of how much fun he has. Highly recommend to people who really care about their dogs ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My mini Schnauzer has been going to day care (and also vacationing there while I’m away), for over 1.5 years now. I highly recommend this loving family to take care of your fur baby. Croi absolutely loves it there, he gets super excited when we reach the house as he knows it will be a fun day with lots of exercise, play time and attention. I also get daily photos and videos of him on walks and playing with other dogs, which makes me so happy. They really are his other family and I’ve saved one contact as Mama Croi in my phone, so much love and affection! I just let them know my ETA for drop off and pick up so he’s all ready to go, so easy with excellent communication!

My dog is not the easiest dog to have around but Alex and his family have looked after my boy extremely well. They were kind enough to sent me photos daily of the awesome walks they went on. 10/10 thank you so much.

Alex and Alina are the best! Our dog Phoebe loves staying with them, their dogs are wonderful and get along great and they take such great care of them. They always send us photos and videos so we know how she’s doing ❤️

I can highly recommend this daycare. I have been sending my miniature schnauzer Dora to Alina & Alex since she was a puppy. It's like her second family and Dora really loves them. Plus their Golden retriever Barron was the best baby sitter to Dora when she was a pup. I 100% trust them as they take such great care of her, she is always loved on and protected. I wouldn't just leave her with anyone but I know I can go to work or go away and she will be in the best caring hands. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. Dora is always so happy to see them because they have such big hearts and are such a lovely family.

Gucci has stayed with Alina and Alex since he was a puppy. They are wonderful people! They always fit gucci in at the last minute! Gucci loves them and their lovely dog! They send daily photos and videos. Very responsive, trustworthy and a Lovely family! Gucci always has the best time!!

I cannot thank enough this lovely family- Alina, Igor, Alex, grandma and grandpa. They treat my Louie with full of love. They care and love my fur baby as much as I do. Louie loves staying with them and their dog, Baron is super friendly. I highly recommend this family!

Alex’s brother Igor was a wonderful dog sitter and helped us tremendously with our dog Balloon. Even though they are located in Auckland he was happy to travel and stay in our house in Jacks Point, Queenstown. He sent us daily updates and was taking our a bit naughty puppy for a walk sometimes 6 times a day 😅 Will definitely use him in future 🥰

We have used Pawsome Dog Care twice now and highly recommend Michelle. She is so lovely and has taken such amazing care of our two dogs and the communication with photos and information of how they were doing while we have travelled overseas on one visit was outstanding. Planning a break had become quite a challenge as our Dusty Rose got older with many medical conditions. I felt at peace and was able to relax knowing she was being well cared for by true dog lovers. Michelle listened to my concerns, provided great communication with regular updates and photos. Dusty looks forward to staying again and visiting her friends. Our aging Dougal Dog does not do well in kennel situations, and it has been problematic finding care that suits him. Fortunately, while staying at Pawsome Dog Care, he has been very comfortable and happy with the same attentive and loving care he is used to getting from us. Dougal has stayed there twice so far, and we have booked him in for 2 more future stays. As we travel far to drop Dougal off we have been grateful for the flexibility shown by Michelle & Dale in arranging Drop off and Pick-ups times.

Pawsome takes great care of our dog Ted when we were away. Ted needs lots of attention with his inherited health issues, Pawsome loved and spoiled him every time during his stay. They did it so well like looking after their own dogs. High recommended and would definitely come back again!!

Michelle and her husband took wonderful care of our much loved 14 year old pug for two weeks over the 2023/24 Christmas/New Year period. Far and away our greatest concern about going away had been finding the best possible care for her. She is old, has physical disabilities and at the time also had a vital medication need. We stumbled across Pawsome Dog Care online and description on the website was exactly what I had hoped, but not expected, to find. I cannot speak highly enough of the level of care, attention and understanding Michelle and her husband gave to our pup. The regular updates we received were much appreciated and we really felt that our pup was part of their family for the period she was with them. A 5star rating, with appreciation and thanks.

Michelle and her husband took great care of our 12 yr old dog for 2 weeks while we were out of the country. We received wonderful photo updates every day. They attended to our dog's arthritis and provided helpful advice from their experience caring for older dogs. He also really enjoyed the company of her friendly spaniels. He looked great when we picked him up. We will definitely ask Pawsome Dog Care to look after our dog the next time we go away and highly recommend them. Easy 5/5.

Our dog loves going to Pawsome Dog Care, and absolutely loves Michelle- and I feel relaxed in the knowledge that she will be just as loved there as she is at home! I so appreciate getting the daily updates and photos. Highly recommended!

Michelle and Frazer looked after my little elderly Japanese Chin Bentley like he was their own; sleeping on their bed and spending his days in the office with Frazer. Bentley spent 2 weeks at Pawsome, and came home happy and very relaxed - amazing really as he is quite an anxious wee chap. Knowing Bentley can go to Pawsome, and have such care (for his bad leg, skin issues, meds, separation anxiety etc) means the world to us, as we can go away on holiday knowing he's fine, and that means I'm not stressing out my whole trip! I'm so glad I found Pawsome, and I recommend to anyone with elderly dogs who need some extra care.

Pipi had a wonderful stay with Michelle and Frazer, it was so nice to drive away knowing she was being cared for by true dog lovers, and I loved getting the photo updates. I had miscalculated her food and they very kindly fed her the same raw food from their supplies. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much!

Oreo has been going to daycare at Pets in the City Wairau Park for a few months now, and she has the time of her life there. The staff are fantastic and I know they take great care of her while she's In their care. The overnight hotel option is also fantastic for me as a shift worker, and means that my dog is safe and taken care of while I'm away on overnight shifts. Highly recommend anyone looking for doggy daycare and hotel services.

Lovely staff and very welcoming environment! We weren’t sure how our boy Apollo would do on his first day as he’s never attended daycare before, but pets in the city have been amazing with getting him settled and helping him build his confidence. Very easy process with getting registered and always highlight of the day seeing the photos they post to see how he’s doing🤗

Had a day care stay during the week. Staff were great to talk to. Drop off and pickup was efficient. Have a small confident dog but young. He was fine in with other dogs. Place is kept clean and staff genuinely love dogs. They do kennel dogs overnight and rates are reasonable.

I often visit Pets In The City to leave my dog, Queenie, in their care, and I’m consistently impressed by their professionalism. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, always ready to answer my questions with genuine care. Their friendliness creates a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s clear they truly love animals. I have full confidence in returning to this facility, knowing Queenie is in great hands. I’d highly recommend Pets In The City to anyone seeking a reliable and caring place for their pet.

The team are always cheerful and positive when we arrive. Both daycare and overnight stays are enjoyed by my dog. She is always tired and ready for a restful sleep after playing with her doggy friends all day. I love the social skills it's teaching her as well as the exercise she gets.

I was very scared to leave my lil Biscuit at daycare for the first time, but the staff took their time and informed me how everything works, showed me around, and kept me informed about Biscuits progress. And from the lovely pics they post, I could definitely see how happy Biscuit was! Thank you for the Amazing experience, warmth and comfort!

My dogs love going to Pets in the city Wairau, so much so that they forget to say goodbye to me!

Louis our miniature schnauzer had a great stay for a week. He was well looked after and we could enjoy our holiday without worrying about him. The daily photos on Facebook were great and we could see that he looked happy each day playing with his new friends. The staff were kind and genuinely cared for him. This is his 4th stay and we will definitely be back!

Stevie has been walking with Hazel and Natalie (Fur and Forest)for a few years - it's been one of the most rewarding and enriching experiences for both of us. I have a happy, well socialised, and obedient buddy that I can take anywhere with conidence - pack walking has changed our lives for the better!

My dog Ramona has her challenges, but since going on her weekly pack walks with Fur & Forest, her socialisation, leash reactivity and behaviour in general has improved tenfold. Hazel and Nat are incredible trainers and it’s wonderful to be able to trust not only that Ramona is having a wonderful time, but it is a safe and educational experience for her. They ensure all dogs on each walk are matched well behaviour and energy wise, and provide feedback and recommendations for further training we can do at home to support what she learn in their company. I love being able to see the photo updates of each adventure in the private Facebook group for clients. Whether it's the beach, the forest or a rural setting, Ramona comes home exhausted but with a pep in her step and unmatched smile from her day adventuring. I cannot recommend them enough and wish I could join the pack myself! <3

Fur & Forest are the best doggy walkies around. I know this because my dog Brisky goes nutty even if I just say Hazel's name. He looooooves her. Trust fur & Forest implicitly with my furry boy.

Our miniature Schnauzer loves her trips with Fur & Forest. She has learnt new skills, improved on her recall and lead walking as well as increased her ability to socialise with dogs of all sizes. I would recommend Fur & Forest to anyone wanting a fabulous wolf pack for their dog!

Hazel and the team at Fur & Forest are amazing. Our pups always have a blast. Hazel has helped us with our little Schnauzer who has some anxiety and aggression issues too which has been great. I’m always grateful for the helpful tips that Hazel gives us on dog training when I ask during pick up and drop-off. Would highly recommend Fur & Forest to anyone who wants their dog be safe, loved and well exercised.

Barkley Manor has been an absolute lifesaver for both of my dogs! My Cane Corso started attending their puppy program when she was just 8-12 weeks old, and she’s gone through every stage of their classes since then. The staff are so loving, attentive, and truly dedicated to the dogs in their care. My Cane Corso is completely besotted with them, and I trust them wholeheartedly. More recently, my English Pointer has joined, and he’s been settling in beautifully. The team has been incredibly supportive, especially with helping him establish boundaries (he’s quite the counter surfer!). They’ve been so patient and knowledgeable, and it’s made a world of difference. I couldn’t recommend Barkley Manor more—it’s by far one of my favorite places for my dogs. The love and care they provide are unmatched!

Barkley did such a great job with our doggy. He is a rescue dog who is quite anxious around others, so we were quite nervous dropping him off. However, the grooming team listened to our concerns and talked to us through the process. We were extremely transparent and let them know about him being incredibly protective of the both of us, so he will bite if you get too close when he is with us. However, without us he's completely harmless. They were extremely encouraging throughout our conversations which left us feeling a lot better and made sure to ask different questions about the grooming so we could both be on the same page, and Shacky could be comfortable. After his groom, we were incredibly pleased to hear that he was fine around other dogs and even gave them loads of kisses. Although they needed two people to cut nails ( sorry grooming team!) They remained positive and truthful about the groom, which we appreciated. He also came out super calm and relaxed! With other groomers, he always came out shaking, sparking concern. Thankyou once again Barkley!

Pickle has attended daycare at Barkley for over a year now after graduating from the puppy school. We were taught the skills we needed to best support our pup from the start and had the support to discuss specifics we needed help with. We adored hearing about her friends and seeing photos from her day on the facebook page. Pickle LOVES daycare and her aunties and even when we started working from home we kept a regular booking as a treat day for her. She loves the show too and seeing her friend Bartok helping yet another rescue. Thanks Barkley!

I have taken dogs through puppy training and the advanced course on mastering life. Barkley Manor have excellent trainers that work well together to manage the training sessions. They demonstrate techniques and explain what is going on to give you an understanding of how to effectively train and manage your dog. I was also impressed with their ability to problem solve, suggesting ideas and helpful tips for particular issues that anyone in the class was having difficulty with.

Amazing doggy daycare. The staff are friendly, caring and know most of the dogs (even if you only come once/week). They separate the big and small dogs which is reassuring. My dog is always super excited when we arrive and tuckered out when he leaves.

Highly experienced, friendly staff, brilliant establishment, great care taken with our 4 legged family members, not to pricy. Has fantastic gromming team with amazing talents.

Our lil Franklyn attended Barkley Manors puppy pre school when he was teeny tiny just over 2 years ago and has regularly attended daycare on a fortnightly basis since and absolutely loves it. The team who look after him do such a great job in playing with him and sharing the cutest photos and videos of him having the best time. Special thank you to Jenny who is amazing and had Franklyn for overnight stays last year and took care of him and sent us regular updates and also special thank you to Mayzie who has given Franklyn lots of care and attention for his grooms, he can sometimes get a lil overwhelmed and she takes the time to make sure he’s as calm as possible and always messages to let us know how he gets on. This goes such a long way and is very much appreciated.

Me and my puppy had a puppy class here, paid $300 for 5 sessions. I missed one session coz we had house settlement on that day. I informed them ahead of time as they said before I enroll that they do make up classes. I followed up twice about it and they said they will inform me about it and might be around May 28 or June 8. I even asked them about it on our final session and follwed it up again and all i get is they are aware of it. It is now June 14 and I never heard back anything from them. Last email from them is 26 April. So disappointed despite the fact I paid in advance and $300 is not cheap. Not happy at all. And I don’t want to keep following up as they said they are aware of it. I feel like I am begging to be accomodated to a service that I have paid already paid, they should be the one giving me update after three follow ups I made. So clearly poor communication. I understand they are very busy. I gave up after, I would rather go next time to small puppy class place where I know my puppy is not taken for granted. It was nice having a puppy class training from you guys and 1 start rating is because we didn’t have a good experience, so not coming back.

my dog was shaking when he got home. i think some groomer was washing him too rough and he was all red underneath his fur. i had to take my dog to the dog counseller because i think he developed ptsd... never again

incredibly disgusting place. dog out bit there and the infection spread, not only did they not take accountability but they also kicked the dog out of the daycare too. absolutely disgusting place NEVER take your dogs here

Amazing groom my little boy was so happy here he has been very anxious at grooms from a past groomer but the lady here was very gentle and patient with him

Don’t buy products from here, they are very poor quality, I was basically called a liar at reception. You have just lost a customer, will find another groomer, which is a shame, because Vicki is very good

My puppy attended daycare here for a few months and we had a wonderful experience. My puppy loved going there so much, would literally sprint to Central Bark as soon as she's out of the car!

You can happily leave your fur babies at Central Bark without worrying about anything. Their service is exceptional and are always welcoming. They are under a new management now but the quality of service is unchanged, just new faces. There is no more half day service so cannot by any packages for half day daycare. My dog always get excited to go there. Sure is his second home. They have cover parking with a door through to drop off your fur babies. Reception is always very helpful, ring them for any other info

The Central Bark Team work tirelessly to ensure our fur babies are having the very best and most comfortable stay, whilst their humans have to work. I can’t recommend you all enough; Basil adores his games and walks and most of all seeing all his furry companions & angel Aunties. Thank you for making this his all time favourite place. The love and attention you shower our wee man in, especially at the beginning when he was a little unsure, was reassuring and helped us get through the anxiety of leaving him for the first time. Took my Puppy here for her haircut last week and it was the best she's had yet, we will definitely become regulars here. They asked me exactly how I wanted her to look, and they made sure that she had the best experience ever. Being a puppy she's very social and active but she came out looking absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better job. Amazing team and fabulous groomers in a wonderful space with plenty of parking for a quick dash in and out.

I would not recommend it if your fluffy family is a little too protective or not taught well as the instructor there is not trained enough to deal with them, were refused to be served there today and had to go somewhere else.

At last a dog day care / hotel actually IN THE CITY !! Great location with parking. Great premises, super clean and boutique like. It doesn’t feel like a dog factory like other day care centres. Great service & feedback from the staff, they are so caring. Our babies Raven & Phoenix are loving their weekly stay and so are we ! We definitely recommend Central Bark.

From the moment Central Bark opened it was clear that at the core of everything they do is a shared love of animals and their well being. My little dog was quite nervous for her first 6 sessions and the team at Central Bark really worked with her to make her more confident. Now she can't wait to get there and runs through the front door and straight up the ramp to get to her friends. I have also found her behaviour outside Central Bark has changed and she is more confident and happy all round. Thank you team Central Bark for making Miss P so happy!
