Staff/owners are lovely. Really relaxed with the dogs who had a great long weekend with them. Facilities are lovely too. Would recommend.

I have used Gordon Country Kennels on many occasions . I have 3 cats which are regular visitors here and I can’t fault it at all . The cats are well looked after , the place is spotless and they settled very well when they are there. The staff always fill me in on how they have been and what they have been up to . I will continue to use them and would recommend them to anyone .

Great location small kennels where the dogs are given 1 to 1 lovely fenced in area for them to run and so clean.

Visited the kennels today with our two dogs for the first time. We were really impressed with the facilities and the care provided. One of our dogs can be nervous and a bit fearful of some things, but we are completely content that she'll be settled here. They both enjoyed a run around the field and were very happy to explore.

What a lovely choice of kennels! Our first visit with our two fur babies and from the moment we drove into the parking area we were greeted, made welcome, and the dogs were happy. Most importantly they were in no hurry to leave when we went to collect them! Might have had something to do with them having their own television.....! Highly recommend.

The first time I took my dog Mango to stay with Carol and the team, she loved it so much, she didn’t want to get in the car to come home! We have family abroad so would require 3 week stays - one time they even put on a doggy Christmas. A wonderful place, well worth the money for your dog to be treated like family.

Wouldn't take my cat to stay anywhere else. I know he will be safe and well looked after and for me that peace of mind is priceless. A great facility.

Our 2 fox terriers have stayed at this wonderful hotel for dogs for several years and are always beautifully looked after by Carol and her staff. Our old blind and deaf girl is greeted kindly and pampered with tlc and her male companion cannot wait to get out of the car without a backward look! We can thoroughly recommend Gordon Country Kennels to anyone who wants their dog to be looked after in the best possible surroundings and by real dog lovers who really care about your pet

Excellent pet care on every front. Every dog appears to get individual attention to ensure their stay is a happy, stress free experience. It is more than just a “Kennels” more like a “Holiday Resort” ....

Cattery not very good my cats were clearly stress during their stay wouldn’t recommend as they have kennels. Peed in their bed nobody bothered to change or wash their bed.

Excellent kennels/cattery and groomer. Wonderful caring staff. I use frequently and I would highly recommend.

Barbara is just a star! We have four dogs and they stay frequently and love going to Garromuir. They understand dogs and are professional and caring. Barbara is an expert groomer and they all come home, soft, clean and smelling delicious.... We can always relax when away, knowing they are in expert hands. Thank you so much...really cannot recommend enough...would give 10 stars if I could!

Kaya stayed there for a long weekend and loved it. The owner said she was a sweet girl but she must have mixed her up with another dog lol

My black lab had an excellent time there while we were away on holidays for 2 weeks. They looked after her very well. She came home tired and clean after a nice grooming at the kennel.

I have used the kennels for the last 10 years and can’t fault them. John and Barbara are always very pleasant and helpful. I never have any concerns when dropping them off as I know the dogs are very well looked after. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Used both kennels and cattery over last 15 years and have always felt relaxed knowing our dogs and cats will be well cared for. They listen well to the pets needs in terms of medication and exercise. It is clear they love animals and know what they are doing.

Sent my 2 year old male husky here who would constantly pull, we tried everything from face harness to slip collar, got him back today and he is like a brand new dog when it comes to walking does not pull anymore and actually listens when you tell him to heel. 10/10

I have used Garromuir kennels for the past three years and recommend to others also and no problems and delighted with service . But the last two visits have not been good at all, my dogs would not come out of the boot the time before last and actually so scared and that upset me also , one is a rescue dog who hates a choke lead as he must remember this from previous life, have said to Barbara this but still puts a choke lead on him., and this terrifies him, anyway the last time we were away the weekend and put boys in and each time we have been charged per night this time picked them up and thought it is a completely different price and actually thought very expensive , have no qualms paying the extra as you want the best for your pet when you are away , anyway I had emailed and asked if prices had gone up , nothing more and polite as in for 49 hours , so was very surprised to get charged a whole day extra each but the response I got back was so rude and had totally taken me a back and feel the quality of these kennels are going down hill which is a shame . But to be told ‘If the service we provide is not to your liking then you should consider using other boarding kennels.’ Feel there is no need at all for this kind of reply as we have been very good customers over the years but we shall not be back, if this is the way loyal customers are treated , I actually worry to think the way the animals are treated if they misbehave.

Purpose built kennels in good location for the dogs. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Dogs came home happy and relaxed. Just had to cancel a booking which was dealt with politely.

DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE , SENT MY 6 MONTH SHIH TZU, FOR A CUT , I GOT BACK A SCALPED DOG , THE CUT WAS ALL UNEVEN LOOKS LIKE A 4 YR OLD TOOK A PAIR OF CLIPPERS , TO HER , IM FUMING AND THE LADY WHO DONE THIS , WELL WHAT CAN I SAY , I WOULDN'T CROSS HER , NO REFUND OFFERED OR NOTHING SHE SAID NO TO THAT , NOT BOTHERED REALLY NEXT TIME ILL TAKE HER TO THE BARBERS PROBABLY DO A BETTER JOB , THE MORE I LOOK AT MY POOR DOG I DON'T KNOW WEATHER TO LAUGH OR CRY

Great place. No issues and Jimmy loves getting pampered... They pick him up and drop him off aswell which is great as don't drive. He goes every month now for a grooming.

Very friendly and can tell that they love the dogs they care for.

Bear dog never looked better. And she likes going!

Eileen provides the best dog care we’ve ever had in 20 years of owning dogs. She is amazing and I genuinely feel like our dog consider staying with her as his holiday for the year. It’s also been wonderful for socialising him as he has been very timid after an attack.

We are so delighted with the care and attention our dog Murphy receives from Su and the team. He has previously been a little anxious with change, however he is very happy to stay at Aquithie kennels and relaxed and calm when we collect him. Thank you.

We have just taken our west highland terrier out of Aquithie kennels, after a 12 day stay. We have no doubt she enjoyed her stay. I would recommend them to anyone who has to board their pet. The staff were helpful when we boarded her and made sure she has everything she needed. They followed all our instructions that excluded her medication Well done Aquithie.

Our rescue dog was under the care of Su and Vicki at Aquithie during a quarantine period. We are so grateful for the love and care they gave our girl, especially during such a confusing time for her. When we came to pick her up it was clear she had such an amazing bond with both women, and that she had been well cared for by loving hands. Would highly recommend Aquithie both for quarantine and kennels. What special ladies they both are, I can't describe how grateful I am to them :)

I have so many wonderful things to say about Su and Aquithie Kennels. I recently arrived from the US with two dogs in tow--with the same paperwork. One was released to us the other put in quarantine. As we are based out of Scotland I chose Aquithie Kennels as it was the closest kennel that manages quarantine. I was distressed to put it mildly. I was able to connect with Su quickly and she immediately got the process started to transfer Shakko to Aquithie Kennels. Within a day of his arrival she and the vet were able to see that he met the requirements for entry and had been erroneously quarantined. Su then helped appeal Shakko's case quickly so he was back with me in ten days. Su went above and beyond to communicate with me regularly, even when I was perhaps messaging too much. She put me at ease and took time to educate herself on his breed and listen to my concerns. When I picked Shakko up he was in good spirits and had been well taken care of. Having never been kenneled before I was glad he went through it with Aquithie as I couldn't have asked for better care for him during this process. If you have to board or quarantine your dog in Scotland (or the UK) and don't know where to go, I recommend them with every fibre of my being. Su, her husband, and her team care about each of the animals and their human families that stay at Aquithie.

Our old, German Shepherd gentleman was very well looked after by the team at Aquithie. He had numerous problems - including bad joints and bowel problems while there, and nothing was too much trouble. He was given special food at my request, walked at no extra charge and was a very happy dog when I collected him again. I would highly recommend Aquithie Kennels - they really know what they are doing!

My labradoodle (Dougal), kennels here and he is very well looked after. All the staff I have met ( Vicky, Euan and Su the owner) are all really friendly and seem very caring towards Dougal. I have recommended the kennels to a couple of friends and they have been impressed too.

While grateful to kennel maids for caring for my cat. I was disappointed to return & find a depressed cat staring from a high shelf at the floor A room without a view .A costly experience. In future I will be sure to book a window seat for my cat. Wendy/ JoJo.

Very unclear instructions on website led to me booking and then being turned away due to having followed the website instructions about vaccinations. Apparently they actually meant something completely different but I don’t know how. So I was left with about £900 out of pocket, having to cancel a holiday with two days notice. Avoid. Lovely looking place. Batshit crazy old owner.

Good facilities, and very friendly staff and owner. They look after our dog very well. She is always happy excited when we drop her in, and she's always been well cared for when we pick her up

Used several times now and my dog is happy to go and the staff are great with her. Always comes back happy and in good condition.

Had not boarded my cat and ferrets here for a few years and was surprised to see how run down the place looked this time round. During the handover, the lady did not know what to house my 2 ferrets in or what to feed them and I was unhappy that they did not have accommodation ready for receiving them. I offered to take them through and get them set up after she also said she wasn’t used to ferrets but she declined. I did not feel confident leaving them but was dropping them off on route to my holiday and so felt committed to doing so. On return, I was advised my female ferret had passed away but was assured that there had been no problems during the stay but on returning home, my male ferret was so thin and emaciated that he was falling over and unable to stand up. I took him to the vet and they advised that he had either not been fed or had been fed the wrong thing. Very distressing experience and I would not recommend this place and will not return.

I don't even know where to start... When we dropped our cat off there was no one there to receive us, we were waiting for around 20 mins. The receptionist was cold and uninterested. A week later when we came to collect, again we were left waiting half an hour for an employee to arrive and a further 15 mins waiting for said employee to retrieve our cat (it seems like the cats are left unattended when there's no customers). We were then told to come through to the enclosure, as our cat was refusing to come out. We were shocked to see the poor conditions our cat was being held in. It was a cold concrete floor with no bed or food visible, only a dirty litter tray. There was a cat flap into the 'kennel' where any other cat could enter. Our cat had a new scar on his left cheek and broken skin on one of his paws. Our vet was certain that this was injury caused by another cat. This is not a pet resort but a pet prison! Our cat was crying out, hissing and hiding behind the door. When we got him home he was shaky, parched and starving. He didn't smell good, his coat was rough and he was lighter to pick up. We could never recommend this place and we will never return.

I've been boarding my parrot at pet resort for years I highly recommend them just picked up my parrot shes happy as every. very nice staff excellent service.Thanks again for looking after my parrot.

Very upset at how we have just been dealt with. I picked up my diabetic cat from here a day early, once I got my cat home I found out that she was soaked in cat urine. She has also lost over half a kilo in weight and may need to be admitted to the vets later today. The stories we have heard from the owner have changed repeatedly. On initial contact with the manager he said he knew she was covered in urine and was waiting for the heavy rain to stop to use grooming spray on her. Just now he claims she was wet from water she had knocked over. He left my elderly cat covered in her own urine for hours. Not only has the manager been extremely unhelpful one of the front of house staff was rude to my wife. On dropping my cat off, we were told that we needed to pay extra to have her insulin administered, the retort from the girl was “well you are paying for a 5star service”. Rude and indignant. We asked for a refund for the neglected state our cat returned in to be told that wasn’t an option. Overall I have found the whole service to be disgraceful and I would never ever recommend this place again.

We left our cats at the Aberdeen Pet Resort, Peterculter, for a week in April. When we got them home, less than a 5 minute drive, their travel carriers and blankets were covered in fur and urine. Our cats were absolutely stinking of urine too! I contacted the place immediately as I felt that they had been living in their travel carriers and using it as a litter tray too! Only to be told that they were not kept in their travel carriers and they had no idea why our cats smelt so bad! It must been the journey home, all 5 minutes of it!! DO NOT PUT YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE! This place should be closed immediately!!! Definitely not a genuine one star! I would give them nothing but closure!

I am happy to take my cat here. He has an indoor area with a shelf and a small outdoor area. It is very clean. I especially like that there are no dogs here as that stresses the cats out. Nice reception with welcoming residential cats and parrot. He always seems content when I collect him.

Reading these reviews is really upsetting. I put my cat in here a few years ago, and paid extra as it was over Xmas. When I got him back he was stinking I had to bathe him. I wonder now if he was kept in his box. I feel awful that he went through that experience. Lairshill is my go to now. They are very good.

I have used this cattery three times never any problems. The staff are really attentive they let me see the room she would be staying in. We discussed feeding options and what she liked and didnt like. We paid extra for some play time on a daily basis. Your pet will be weighed when you drop them off and again on collection which i really liked. Its a little difficult to find so put on your sat nav. Plenty parking right outside the main reception

The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me, the place appears clean and I see nothing of concern (reading the 1 star reviews). When I picked my cat up last time, my cat was hissing at me, but that's a reflection on him (he was rescued by the sspca and doesn't deal with new people or small spaces) and not the facility.

Second time our cats have stayed here as an emergency and both times they have become ill straight after. We will DEFINITELY not be leaving our cats here again...even if it is an emergency. The place stinks of cat pee as soon as you walk in,it is almost unbearable. We had emailed, agreed and paid an extra fee to drop our cats off late. Upon drop off at the agreed later time the owner decided to complain about how inconvenient late drop off times were for them and had a go at us about it..... yet it had all been agreed in writing and an extra fee paid for!!! Our advice is avoid this place. Nasty smells and awful management

We have used Fetching friends since our dog was a puppy. Our pup loves Amanda and is so excited to go on her walks with all her friends. Amanda has helped us, offering support and advice through the teenage stage and she is so flexible with last minute walks due to our work schedules. If Lexi hasn’t been well, Amanda has done shorter walks or just playing in the garden. We’ve also been so lucky to have Amanda look after Lexi when we are away on holiday, it feels like Lexi is with family and we know she will be spoilt!! Couldn’t recommend fetching friends highly enough- we are so lucky that Amanda loves Lexi and all her pups as much as us owners ❤️. Also, I don’t know how she does it but her photos are amazing.

Amanda has walked our dog, Murphy, for over a year now. She initially did home puppy visits until he was old enough to join in on group walks. Murphy adores Amanda and gets excited when you say her name which is a review in itself! She is very accommodating, knowledgeable about dogs and always willing to give advice when needed. We get regular photo updates of the walks and her pet photography skills are amazing! It is so reassuring to see your dog is having so much fun with you are at work! We can’t thank Amanda enough for all her help. Highly recommended.

Amanda has been walking Monty since he was a puppy, he's now 5 1/2 and he still loves every minute he is in her care. She helped with advice, training & socialising whilst he was a pup and continues to do so even now. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she always provides amazing photo's of Monty's adventures with his pals. I also use Amanda for pet sitting and the house is always cleaner when I get back than when I left ! I have no hesitation in recommending Amanda's services. She is a lovely person and has a natural calming nature and always has Monty's best interests at heart.

The dawg nanny (melissa) is fantastic. She looks after my Springer spaniel and he comes back happy and tired everytime. He adores the playgroup sessions were he gets to play with other dogs and as the area is fully secured he can have loads of fun off lead but is totally safe. It is ideal and Melissa takes such amazing care of him. Highly recommend. ❤🐕

Set in a large rural area of Aberdeenshire, I can't recommend The Dawg Nanny enough. The facilities from the caged van to collect our pooch to the secure exercise area are great, and Melissa is a genuine dog lover, meaning I know Izzy is safe in her care.

I'm happy with all of tillyoch's help, looking after my 6 month old kitten Penny- very nice place, good location and fair prices. Helpful animal loving staff. Michael was vey flexible & accommodating. I will definately use Tillyoch Pet Resort again for Penny, when i go on holiday. LOTS OF HAPPY CONTENTED CATS SUNBATHING AT TILLYOCH- Thank you to all of the staff for looking after my kitten- she came home very happy. Guy.
