Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Anita was a wonderful dog sitter for Balto! They were super tentative, made sure to ask any and all questions before we went away, and they sent the best updates about Balto while we were gone. I felt so much better knowing my dog was in great hands, and I could not recommend Anita enough! Quality care, and our apartment was spotless when we returned home.
Diane and Les were excellent pet and house sitters. Jet was a very happy dog when we returned and Diane had shared many photos of their days together while we were away on holiday. The house was very clean and tidy when we returned and some milk , bread and sweet treats had been left for us, which were very welcome after our 2 long flights home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Diane and Les as sitters for your home and pets, everything was done to a high standard and Jet was happy in his usual environment , which is all we wished for. Many thanks to you both.
I’m sure most folks say the nicest things about their sitter, but honestly, if there were a “super star” status available then Denise would win the prize as sitter of the year! From the start, Denise was an excellent communicator. While we were still in the decision phase, Denise was always available to chat either by FaceTime, telephone or text. It was so easy to choose Denise; as you can see from her countless 5 star reviews, she truly is the only pet sitter you’d ever need and the one everyone hopes to have. Denise came to our house eager to meet us, our pets and the quirks of our house. Denise has an excellent sense of humor and immediately put us all at ease. Our pets took to her as if she was a long lost friend (even our finicky Siamese cat was loving on her from the start). While we were gone, our dog had a non-emergency health issue come up and just like that Denise was taking her to our vet, and administered the dog’s meds like a champion (Denise is also a nurse BTW). Additionally, Denise brought our pup to her scheduled groom appointments and even made future appointments for us to make our return home as seamless as possible. Denise was even above and beyond helpful to our neighbors and they appreciated her giving them access to our refrigerator when theirs broke down on Thanksgiving Eve! When we got home we were super impressed by how perfectly immaculate our house was! Most sitters leave the house clean, but Denise met and may have even exceeded our military standards of clean and orderly. Seriously, our house felt like we never left it. Everything was spotless, shinny and clean. She didn’t miss a beat!! Our pets were so happy to see us but honestly, I felt like our pup and kitty were disappointed when we walked in the door (I believe they were expecting to see Denise!). Haha. If you are ever fortunate enough to have Denise apply for any of your sits then I can’t recommend her enough. Seriously, you can stop reviewing applicants and just go with Denise. She was awesome in every sense of the word and I hope she’ll come back and stay with our pets again.
Cristina is simply the best house/pet sitter that we have ever had. She is responsible and dependable and an experienced dog owner. Our Wheaten, Bridie, adores her and misses her when she leaves.
Amara was a WONDERFUL sitter for our home and our dogs for the weekend. We were so comfortable with her being in our home, and she provided regular updates and photos of our babies. The house was clean upon arrival home - we would have no hesitation recommending her to others and hope she would consider coming back to spend more time with our dogs!
They took very good care of my pets which involved feeding cats twice daily, fish once or twice a day and filling up fountain for birds. Animals were healthy and happy when I returned. Nothing was lost or broken, and Diane even found a lost grinder part that had fallen into the cats food while I was using it. They are a pleasant couple. They were invited from Wednesday to Sunday. They arrived on Monday so had 3 days instead of one to learn the pets routine. They also informed me that they wouldn't be leaving until Monday morning, but that worked out well since I was mistaken about the end date of my cruise and couldn't get home until Monday. Everything was left neat, but I had minor housekeeping to do (clean sink, fingerprints off glass table, sweep floor). They are older than stated on the profile, which they said only allows 65 as a top age. 68 and 73. Bruce has health problems that requires he sleeps sitting up in a chair that has a leg lift, which luckily I had, so he slept in my living room. They are fine caring for cats, but my friend with a dog decided to find another sitter rather than leave him with them (she was going to pay) because they seem somewhat frail.
Hamsa was very quick to respond in all communication. She was prompt on her arrival and listened carefully to our detailed instructions about the house and dogs. While we were away the amount of communication between us was just right. When we arrived home the dogs were happy and the house was in order. A good sign that a dog sitter paid lots of attention to the pups is when we see a bit of depression set in after a dog sitter departs - this did occur after Hamsa left our home She is a very caring and nurturing individual.
Delphine was amazing. All 3 of our fur babies took an instant liking to her, which is very unusual of them. We right away knew both our cats and our dog would be happy with her. We came back to relaxed and happy pets and a clean house. We think we found our ‘go to’ house sitter with Delphine. We would love to have her over again.
First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.
Melissa and Chris are amazing. We are very picky about our dog sitters, and we chose them because they have been doing this for a long time and track your wants and needs carefully and follow through with utmost care and integrity. They offered to come the day before we left to meet Winnie so that we could rest in that she would trust them and connect to them. Honestly, we would hire them as our only dog sitter all of the time if we could. I cannot thank them enough and say enough good things about them. They also took very good care of our house and plants.

Absolutely fantastic experience leaving our dog with Lena. She calmed him down and figured out ways to keep him happy and safe, as he is a very anxious little dog when first time with new sitters. We couldn't with for a better experience. Lena also kept us updated through the day, adjusted to our crazy timeline between meetings and work. Absolutely great. No words, just everything is perfect!
Our dog had a wonderful 2 night, weekend stay with Lena. He can be a bit anxious but Lena took all our notes thoughtfully and created a relaxing environment for our Bedlington whippet. I think they had a great time together! Wouldn’t hesitate to have him stay with her again. Highly recommend :)
Lena took great care if our 11 month old pup. It was our first time leaving her and we were worried about how she'd find it but Lena did an amazing job. She shows real compassion for the dog and the family, sending many updates with thoughtful messages. We would have no hesitation recommending Lena and would definitely book her again.
We’re absolutely delighted with the care that Lena gave to our 15 month old pup, Pascal and our cat, Midnight while staying with them in our house this past weekend. We were nervous about leaving them, especially Pascal as he can be quite anxious when we’re not around and he’s still young pup in training! We approached Lena due to her experience with anxious pups and her excellent reviews. It was absolutely the best decision! She really took her time to get to know us and Pascal. She asked us lots of questions about his routine and about his experience with a different sitter which hadn’t gone so well and we discussed what would help make this a really good sit. We booked a meet and great and a walk the week prior to us going so Pascal and Lena could get to know each other, so she could see how he was on the lead (we’d just introduced knew training techniques that we were keen were continued) and so we could show Lena round the house. When we left on Friday we were so confident that Pascal and Midnight were in the best hands. Lena sent us really thoughtful updates throughout the weekend which was so reassuring and we were really able to relax and have a great time away. We came home to happy pets and a tidy house - we couldn’t be happier! We won’t hesitate to book Lena again and fully recommend her!
Lena has watched our two little dogs many times now for a few days at a time up to a week. She has stayed at our flat a few times while watching them and is a very thoughtful house guest. Each time she takes such great care of them and sends us lots of videos and pictures (which we love!) and takes them on long walks (which they love!). We can tell she adores them and treats them so well, which is important for us while we’re away from them. I definitely recommend trusting Lena with your little one(s)!
Bandit’s first day with Lena went really well. She got him settled - chilled out, in fact - quickly. She sent lots of photos and videos to reassure me he was happy and having a good day. I’m sure Bandit will be back, Lena!
July 2024 Our Shih Tzus returned to Lena’s care this time for a 16 night stay in her home. The dogs were happy to return, greeting Lena enthusiastically! They quickly settled in while Lena took time to discuss any of their needs which may have changed since their last visit. Lena kept me updated daily with photos, videos and voice messages regarding their daily adventures. Their walks were varied and they clearly enjoyed spending time with Lena whether out and about or relaxing at home. Once again Lena went above and beyond, ensuring our dogs wellbeing and safety were taken care of. She has a real understanding of their personalities and needs. It will come as no surprise, that I would highly recommend Lena and that our dogs will return to her care again in the future.
Our Brucey had an amazing time with Lena as always, whilst we were getting married. He even got us a card 😊😊😊 Lena is the only person we are comfortable leaving little B with as he has massive separation anxiety and attention demands. Thank you again. …
Our two little Dachshunds loved being looked after by Lena in our home. Lena gave the dogs super walks and lots of attention, sharing this on videos to us every day, so we could see how content they were. Lena left our house very neat and tidy for our return and did every thing she could for us throughout her stay. Happy to recommend Lena to others. 😊
Lena walked our dog Monty over Easter. We found her very reliable, super careful and heaped lots of hugs, strokes and chats to make him feel well cared for. Plus videos of their walks. AThank you Lena. Will book you in next time we are away!!
Unfortunately, my dog was involved in an ‘incident’ while in their care. I spoke with bark n fly on the phone at 12pm 7th of March while at work and was told that a dog had ran over to mine and had bitten him on the ear (“nipped”) and there were some marks left underneath his front shoulder. We were told that he did not need picked up early and was fine after the incident as he was acting like himself. I was told it was up to owners if they wanted to opt for stitches on the ear or let it heal itself but to possibly get some antibiotics from the vet to avoid infection. I had booked my dog into the vet just to be sure. I was told the dogs had been separated and that the other owner would be told about the incident. I was also told that it would’ve been my dog that would get moved groups in future as he had been placed with the larger dogs. When I arrived to collect my dog, he came limping down the steps and I initially was looking for the cut on his ear when I noticed there was a major cut on his leg. After seeing my dog close up I could tell he would need stitches at the top of his leg and there would definitely be no ‘owner choice’ in regards to his wound. The worker told me he had been asleep for the last 2 hours which is very out of character for my young beagle and he has never done that while at day care before. I told the worker that he clearly needs stitches and they looked at his wound and addressed my dog and asked him if he had been “licking it while I wasn’t watching”. No amount of licking could have caused the open wound on his arm, I had no response to this and picked him up to go to the vets. I could see that my dog had been bitten multiple times and this was not a result of playing. I had to lift my dog to the car as he refused to walk any further and I left in tears. After taking my dog to the vet, they could see that he would need stitches and booked him in for the following morning. He had to be injected with antibiotics and painkillers, wound cleaned and given a cone to stop him making the cut worse. My insurance covered the £550 vet bills but I paid £160 excess for his injuries. In his procedure he had to get 3 different lots of stitches. After seeking a dog walker, they also had a look at the injuries and described it as he had clearly been mauled by the other dog. I was not told that the other dog who had done this would no longer be allowed to attend the daycare and I also feel upset that their owner will not know the extent of the incident and will not hear the final outcome. I had no confirmation about what had been said to the other owner. I wish that I had known the extent of his injury and I would have collected him straight away and taken him to the vet rather than him being hurt and left for 4 hours. Since then, Bark N Fly told me that they would pay me back the excess amount of £160 which took 2 months to receive back. I am only posting my experience now as although I stopped using their services I feel that other dogs owners should know about my dogs experience using Bark N Fly.
We've used Bark n Fly's services several times now and have been impressed each time. The gentleman that does the pick up is always kind and patient, and when we went to the place in person the staff were also helpful. We thought the facilities were impressive, too. Our dog (pictured in our local park) is very nervous of people but Bark n Fly assured us she'd be okay and have been most professional. I would absolutely recommend them if you need your dog cared for.
My pup Daisy loves the day care facilities at Bark n Fly. The pickup/drop off service is really handy. Daisy recently stayed for just under a week in the boarding services and had a great time, I appreciated the pictures of her playing and living her best life! Will definitely keep using Bark n Fly and highly recommend
This is the first time we have used kennels for our two dogs Winnie and Mylo, Dawn and her team were great and helped us get everything organised for their stay. Winnie is a typical outgoing wee white fluff ball but Mylo is quite a nervous dog but they were so good and caring with him and the genuine affection shown by Abby and the other staff helped him relax, come out of his shell and enjoy his stay. We will definitely use them again. Thanks Kevin & Lynne
This was our first time using the boarding service at Bark n Fly. When we picked our Westie Mara up after a wee, she tried to run back inside the building - so she must have absolutely loved it! Staff were friendly and gave some nice feedback on her stay. We will definitely use you again when we go away.
20 min waiting for someone at reception and nothing. Looks like I will lose my appointment at 10am due to not being able to leave my dogs for care. If you leave your dog here make sure you have enough, more than enough time. Looks like a nice place but no one at the front. Edited review - Don’t know how to reply to the “lies” I called - someone said would be there soon (disregarding the las two, dialled by mistake) so yes, there are calls. Be aware that someone answered so this is not a lie - perhaps you don’t know the call is registered on the callers phone. I was there at 9:22 with one of my dogs outside - took the picture because I knew this would be contested. So, yes, I did follow the instructions given in the door and yet nothing. Again, looks like a nice place but give yourself plenty, plenty of time and maybe someone will be at the reception.
Fantastic day care and boarding centre. Very friendly and helpful staff, and super convenient pick up / drop off service. When our dog was a puppy we really liked that we could get her acclimated to being away by starting with a half day at day care, progressing to a full day, and then to overnight stays. Our dog always loves her time there and comes home very sleepy from all the playing!
Chippy seemed very happy staying over!
The Bark n Fly is amazing! They’re services are great! They picked up and delivered our dogs and both drivers were friendly, helpful and so patient with Ruby and Leia! We also could follow them on Instagram and check how much fun the dogs had playing around! They arrived home very happy (and equally exhausted because of the great time they had). I have no words to express how grateful we are to have found such nice people to take care of them while we are away 💙
We have a very active 18 months old GSP, who has struggled with home boarding so decided to try Bark’n’Fly. The team were very knowledgeable and gave us great advice on how to help her adjust to staying overnight. Coco has now been going for 3 months and her separation anxiety is gone! She recognises the staff and can’t wait to play in the fields with all the other dogs. We love checking Instagram to see if we can see a picture of Coco having fun on their account! I recommend the team and the set up, especially if you have an active dog, it’s great for them to be able to play all day
I very highly recommend Hound Around. Almost a year ago, I began sending my dog twice a week for social interaction and supervised play and I have genuinely had to add a third day because she loves it so much. Mention the word ‘school’ to Tawny and the ears prick up and she starts looking for her collar. To see her scrabbling to get out of the car when we arrive shows how much she loves going. Invariably when I arrive to collect her, she is having such a lovely time that I get the very strong impression I’ve spoiled her fun by coming to pick her up! It means such a lot to me that I can leave her in a safe, kind place where she has fun, stimulation and lots of activity. The communication from Danielle and Steph is excellent and the photos that are posted after each day are testament to what a superb place it is. You can see from the photos and videos (and there are some absolute crackers!) just how much enjoyment the dogs are having and how good the facilities are. It is also so nice to see from them how the dogs form friendships and Tawny definitely has her ‘school besties’. I also really appreciated how reassuring the staff were when Tawny first started. At the time, she was quite skittish, due to being a rescue and having just lost her adopted elder brother, but they took time and patience, coaxing and reassuring her until she quickly settled in. It was such a good move. I wouldn’t think of Tawny being anywhere else for daycare. I’m so glad I found Hound Around.
Good facility - staff seem friendly and engaged with dogs. Very polite woof van driver and owner Danielle always happy to answer any queries. They take dogs of all sizes it seems, but keep them separated by size/age/temperament. The area where the dogs are is secure and there’s loads of space for them to run around. My puppy really enjoys it. He goes straight to sleep when he’s back home! The only minus is the location if you’re not driving, as getting there by public transport is a mission. They do offer pick up van service though, but you have to book in advance and via email.
Great service, friendly, dog-focused staff, my pup loves it! Plenty of outdoor space, separate areas for different personalities so no-one gets overwhelmed. Indoor area for really bad weather. Really easy booking system. Excellent all round.
Dakota absolutely loves Hound Around Day Care. She runs in without a backward glance at me! She was only four months when I first took her for her introduction and was a bit nervous being a puppy with new surroundings and dogs, so we just tried with two hours to start with then four hours and now she goes the whole day once or twice a week. She is an Alaskan malamute so a big puppy but with the nicest temperament and just loves to play. Everyone is so lovely and caring towards her and this is obvious with how immensely happy she is going in and her interaction with Danielle and everyone there. Thank you so much for looking after her so well 🫶
Hound Around is an excellent dog daycare facility! The staff are all extremely caring and cautious with the dogs that go through their doors and treat them as their own! The space really gives the dogs a chance to run around and have an enjoyable experience every day! Highly recommend if you are looking for a safe space for your furry little friend ◡̈
Update to my review : some of the comments in the response below are actually not true at all, at the initial visit I was not allowed to watch from the window, despite asking if I could, and I was never insistent about her going into the field. I allowed the staff to handle this in the way they suggested and now I just feel it was not handled well. I witnessed a staff member grab her by the collar and pull her into the area before the door. This kind of approach can stress out anxious dogs. Original review: I tried to take my dog here after hearing some good reviews but was disappointed. They didn't introduce my dog to the existing dogs in a controlled manner, or slowly, they just put her in a field with a large number of dogs (up to 40 they said) that obviously she didn't know. If I were put into a group with 40 strangers I would be nervous too, and in my opinion this is not a smart approach. They were unwilling to work with her anxiety, told me she was mouthy with dogs, (which she does when she is exerting boundaries with puppies/badly behaved dogs), and they also said she was snapping at people, which in my 9 years of having her I have never seen her do except once when she was handled very aggressively by a vet. I was not allowed to watch or go out with her but what I did observe was someone aggressively pulling her by the collar. They just didn't seem to have an approach that embraces dog handling expertise. My dog went to a smaller daycare for years and has been hiking with doggy groups for a long time and never once had an issue. I agree that she does have some anxiety on initial meetings, but my expectation of a daycare that handles up to 80 dogs per day is that they should be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and expertise in handling and caring for dogs. And given that they were not willing to take her on as a client I did not expect to be charged for the 2 hour session, but they insisted.
Hound Around is amazing and such a find! Our Romanian rescue has taken a little bit of adjusting and has been so timid and nervous but after one day at Hound Around with the amazing staff and playing with the other dogs she has improved so much. Her confidence is soaring and going to Doggy Day Care is definitely her favourite day of the week - she is so excited to get there. Cannot recommend enough, the team there are fantastic.
Our dog has been going to Hound Around Day Care for a couple of weeks now and it has been fantastic. Danielle and the team are fantastic, reliable and really caring towards the dogs. Rocco is always really excited in the morning when we take him to day care and his socialization outside of day care has improved a great amount. The updates on instagram are also lovely to see!
This is such a great doggy daycare facility, it’s a gem! The site is large with plenty of space for dogs to play, the staff are all excellent, very caring and safety conscious, and we’ve appreciated the flexibility around changing pick ups and drops off to fit around our work and other commitments. Our dog is excited to go every time and always so well looked after, and tired out! Thanks to the excellent staff.
The best daycare! Our dog is nervous and Hound Around did everything to make sure he was comfortable from the start. They're really great with all the dogs and make sure they're all safe and happy. My dog is always excited to go so he also gives it 5 enthusiastic tail wags on top of the 5 stars.
Tammie walks my little dog Daisy and has done now for over 3 years. I love that Tammie knows all the dogs she walks so well, makes instant connections and is so attuned to their needs and personalities and treats them all as her little family (The Clan). I have complete trust in Clan Canines. Daisy's had some problems with her legs on the past and Tammie has been amazing, keeping an eye on her, and adapting where appropriate. Clan Canines is definitely not ‘just a job’ for Tammie as she’s so driven to develop herself in order to provide the best service possible. I know that if there was something she was unsure of with a dog she would be resourceful and contact the right people to help and probably enrol herself in a course so you know exactly how to handle the situation in the future, then share her new knowledge with others! Everything is considered thoroughly and with excellent professionalism and I think this helps her clients have full trust in her! In all the photos from the walks Daisy always has a giant grin, and she is so happily sleepy afterwards! I get excited on Daisy’s behalf and look forward to days that she is with Tammie as I know how happy she is when with the clan!
We absolutely love Clan Canines! Our dog loves going out with Tammie and doggy pals for walks and we love seeing the photos Tammie posts everyday. The organisation and communication with clients is excellent and we feel really confident that our dog is well looked after.
You'll not be disappointed! Tammie offers an amazing, personable service. She always has your dogs needs foremost in her mind and I trust her implicitly. My dog absolutely loves her and can't wait for her walks each week!
Tammie and her team are excellent! Our dog absolutely loves his walks and it is clear how much the walkers love the dogs. Tammie is very efficient in managing the administrative side of the business as well and is creative in her offer. We have been using Clan Canines since they started several years ago, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
My dog has been a member of Tammie’s clan for over a year now. For me it has been a very stress-free and reassuring experience. I feel lucky to have found Clan Canines for Bailey who is always so excited when she is collected. I love seeing the photos and sometimes little videos of her having a great time on her walks and love that she gets a variety of walks in different locations when I’m working. I couldn’t ask for anything more or different from a dog walking company than what Clan Canines provides.
Clan Canines provide a fantastic service. Tammie walks my dog Rafa, a border collie, and he adores her and loves his walks. He's a pretty energetic dog so it's great to have a service that gives him plenty of activity. It's also nice seeing the pictures of all the dogs having a lovely time. The service is very reliable and professional. Also, as this is 2020, there are excellent policies and procedures keeping everyone safe during the pandemic! Highly recommend.
Tammie has been taking our pup Leo on Clan Puppy Crusades for just over a month. When we first met Tammie, we could instantly tell how passionate she was about ensuring the dogs had the best time, and even took the time to ensure Leo would be walked with another suitable pup - but importantly her knowledge and patience which we knew was needed for our pup. Leo was quite nervous on walks, and often we couldn’t get him past the end of the street. Since going out with Tammie and the clan, the weekly improvement in Leo confidence is phenomenal! To the point we now struggle to get him back inside... I can’t recommend Tammie enough!
Myself and my boyfriend have recently moved into the area and desperately needed a good dog walker due to the way our shifts worked. We were recommended to Tammie and now we can't recommend her enough! She is absolutley fantastic, takes the dogs great walks, is professional yet very friendly and is flexible for her clients. I even locked myself out the house and Tammie came to the rescue! She constantly goes the extra mile and we both love how active she is on social media, posting pictures of all the dogs playing and running around every walk which is something I've not seen all that often from dog walkers. Our dog gets very excited when we mention Tammie and a few of the other dogs names too! If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, professional, experienced and overall lovely dog walking service, then Clan Canines would be for you!
Benji our miniature Australian Labradoodle has been walking with Clan Canines for two years now. We were a little unsure as to how safe we would feel with someone else taking a rather nervous dog out, but, how wrong were we! Tammie looks after all the dogs so well and he loves meeting up with them so much. It has been the best decision we’ve ever made and we would have no hesitation in recommending Tammie as quite simply the best dog walker in Edinburgh. When I was in hospital for a couple of weeks recently Benji boarded with Tammie and I think he was sad to come home as he clearly enjoyed his time with her. She saved our lives without hesitation and her devotion cannot be faulted.
Clan Canines is absolutely superb!!! Tammie is fantastic and an amazing walker! She walks our dog Mia who absolutely loves her and gets so excited when she gets picked up because she knows she’s in for a lot of fun!! Tammie knows all her dogs so well and really goes the extra mile...we are so pleased we managed to find Clan Canines!
Kevin is amazing with our two bunnies. Been taking them here the last few years. He is so caring and knows them so well, he gets to know their personalities and makes sure they get plenty excersise. Always really friendly! Would recommend to anyone without any hesitation.
What a lovely caring man Kevin is ,& what good care he took of my rabbit & all the other animals there. He really gets to know their personalities & works to make them feel relaxed. I will definitely use him in future & recommend him to anyone else.
My hens and duck boarded here. Kevin was extremely helpful, accommodating and put my mind at rest from the offset. When I met him I found somebody who truly cared about birds and was definitely going to look after them well. I had an update that they had settled in which is so reassuring. My girls came home looking fit, happy and healthy. This is true value for money in a caring and secure environment with somebody who went the extra mile to ensure my needs were met.
Always leave my Rabbit Bluey with The Fur and Feathers pet lodge. He's always well cared for which gives me peace of mind. Highly recommend!! Wonderful People.
I have used Fur and Feathers many times to look after my chickens when on holiday. The service is excellent and Kevin is always helpful and full of useful advice.
Always happy to leave my hens here when I'm away. I know they are safe and well looked after.
Lovely people home from home for animals. Our dog is well cared for and loves going. I would recommend this place.
Excellent place. They take great care of our bunnies.
I use them every time I go away and have been for years now. Highly recommended.
Friendly and really take care of your pet. Recommended.
Waggy Wanderers have been fabulous helping walk/entertain our big fella while myself and the wife are out at work all day. You'll get a serious amount of videograhy and photos of your prized fur ball out and about on his adventures with Laura and his wee doggy pals too which is brilliant to see (few high quality snaps attached for example). Great service 👏
Laura pet sat my house rabbit for a week and was absolutely amazing. It's always scary leaving your pet with someone new for the first time (especially when they're quite sensitive and not particularly fond of people like my boy is!) but Laura was very competent and kind, and really respected his individual needs. I could tell from the daily updates she sent that he was comfortable and being looked after very well, which was so reassuring whilst I was away. She was an absolute godsend and I wouldn't hesitate to have her pet sit for me again in the future.
Laura at Waggy Wanderers Pet Care is simply amazing with our fur baby. From day one she’s worked with us to meet our dogs needs and has helped with his training hugely. Laura takes time to get to know the dogs and really does cater for individual needs. She’s also super flexible and always try’s her best to meet our schedule. I couldn’t recommend Laura more!! Added bonus that Laura shares updates/photos of the walks with us via WhatsApp and Facebook which is so lovely to see. Our dog absolutely loves his time with his Laura!
We have 2 rescue dogs that can be very nervous on walks, and Laura is great with them and they love when they go on their walks with Laura. Laura has been very flexible when helping organise walks to fit the dogs with my shift work, She is very trustworthy and I would highly recommend Laura to anyone.
Laura is amazing with our dog. He loves going for walks with her and we get great footage (video and photo) of the time they spend together. Laura is reliable and extremely trustworthy. An invaluable support to our family!
Laura has been, and is, a fantastic dog walker. She has been walking our dog since Lunan was just 12 weeks old (initially she did call-in puppy visits and then went from solo walks to integrating Lunan into group walks which are fantastic for socialising and tiring out our little one 😊). Laura communicates regularly with photos and videos to show how our dog got on that day/ week as well as checking in each week to ensure what services we need. Laura is incredibly flexible as she has changed days, times and even looked after Lunan in the evening time when events have arisen we have needed to attend. We landed so lucky with Laura and I cannot endorse her enough. She’s diligent, flexible and above all, a lover of dogs(and animals of all types): what else do you need from a dog walker?
Highly recommended. Friendly, professional service and the cats love her. Laura looked after our cats for a week, and we returned to two very chilled and happy cats, she even won over our male cat who can be very aloof with strangers! Laura sent us regular updates and even took care of watering the plants etc, we’ll definitely be using waggy wanderers again.
Laura is great with dogs. She is also very reliable and flexible. Overall she provides the great service!
Laura has been our dog Walker for over a year now and I really couldn’t ask for more She regularly checks in with us and shares the experiences our pooch has She is punctual, flexible and lets us know anything about our dog’s walk we may need to She comes highly recommended and you’d be as lucky as us to have her for your pet!
Great kennels been taking my Ben and Bailey there for a few years now and we'll looked after, amazing staff also
We have used nivensknowe for many years and would totally recommend it The staff are excellent and the dogs very well looked after and secure
I've been using Nivensknowe for several years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Alan and all the team are fantastic. Very professional, friendly and willing to accomodate bookings at short notice if they possibly can. They've saved my bacon several times. Best of all, Marv's always very keen to go back in with a lovely welcome from the team.
Richie our miniature dachsund absolutely loves alan and the team , he's always super happy when he gets there and wants to stay when we come and collect
My dog Nala has been coming here for around 2 yrs due to her anxiety of being left alone at home from a few months old. Alan and the team are great with her and she seems to love the staff here to. Nala goes to daycare when we're working and whenever we're going on holiday, shes here for the week or two. I noticed a few negative reviews implying that the pets aren't getting fed as the owners have been handed the food back when picking up their pets. Alan supplies meals of wet, dry or raw depending on what your pet is on and this is included in the price. I cant recommend this place highly enough and I know Nala is well looked after.
After being rushed into hospital Alan & his team looked after my Bordeux " Boss " . I can't thank them enough to the point he made regular trips ether for dog day care & or walks as loved it that much. He would walk away from us never look back & jump into Alan's van , now that speaks volumes!!! Alan & his staff always went above and beyond like Boss was there own I will use no other kennel, full stop !! Thank you so much for making Boss's last months the best , same again this speaks volumes!! Ali
Figaro loves his stay at Nivensknowe, Alan and his team are very professional and care for your pet very well I would not go anywhere else.
Recently had our cat Burrito stay for 10 days at Nivensknowe while we were on holiday and couldn't recommend it more. They offer pick up and drop off and were happy to update with any questions we had whilst away. The price is also very reasonable. Thank you so much to Alan and the team at Nivensknowe for taking such good care of Burrito!
the council took my cat there due to family problems, he was only there a week and the last visit I saw him FINISHED, They only have a stove that doesn't even heat the hut completely, they don't put a pittance of sand in it so they can relieve themselves.I don't know what they will put in his food but my cat has died and supposedly his kidneys were failing, he stopped walking, he couldn't not even stand up, he vomited a strong yellow liquid as if from poisoning, may he rest in peace Robin 🕊️🤍, the service there is terrible, no one ever serves you and when they do so without interest, there are dogs crying non-stop and it is incredibly cold to the place where they have them. I HOPE I listened to the reviews and didn't leave my cat there. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR CREATURES THERE.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 i hope this place closes very soon ,if your animal has died here please contact me!
Left my dog for 3 nights. He got dropped of clean, happy and healthy. Also packed his food with him. When he got picked up he was covered in mud/dirt, all wet and stinky. Had to bath him as soon as he got home. Since he been home he haven't eaten his food and he haven't been his usual self. On top of that he been sick twice (definitely not a dog food he been fed there ) it's actually concerning how they are "looking after" the animals.
Murray is a highly responsible dog walker. He cares so much individually for each of the pooches. His walks are excellent value for money. Dogs get plenty of off lead exercise if allowed. Murray's kindness and love of animals and respect for nature shines through.
Thanks for all the fun walks... Darcy loves her adventures with you.
Great service and a lovely chap.
Ruth at PetStay is an absolute legend. Every time I’ve needed to book our toller in she’s linked us up with a wonderful carer (same family every time luckily, our dog loves them). She also linked a family members dog up with a carer a week before our wedding when there were no other options which saved the day. Fab service and can’t praise enough 😊
Could not recommend Petstay or Ruth highly enough. Immediately felt at ease during our first meeting with Ruth and Ann & Les. It is very obvious they love dogs and Max could sense that too as was not bothered when we left him. Regularly updated with photos & videos of his adventures. Max had a ball. He can't wait for his next visit in a few weeks.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Pet Stay said they could cover a weekend for me. Booked to meet a carer - I had to take a day annual leave because the carer’s availability was so limited. Pet Stay cancelled this at short notice. They then rebooked me with someone else. This was also then cancelled. Spent a month wasting time emailing back and forth in total. This seems like a really disorganised and unreliable company - I’d not trust them with my dog.
No pet sitter availability in EH5/6/7/8/9 Post codes.
Fantastic service, I will be using Petstay for my dogs whenever I’m out of town.
My dogs didn't even want to come home with me, highly recommend!
Yes I was very happy with Colinton Cattery. They looked after my "difficult" cat on the day I moved house. Were v willing to accommodate my and cat's exacting requirements! They let you see the pens which is a good sign - said pens are spacious and well-equipped. It's clear the cats get top notch round the clock attention. Rhona & the staff were lovely. I'd be happy to use again if the need arose. Many thanks!
Update in Aug 2024: I would like to thank the Colinton Cattery team again for the kindness and attentive care given to my beloved Ball Ball who got diagnosed with cancer after the Colinton Cattery team noticed Ball Ball was being unwell and not being himself. They helped us take great care of Ball Ball and made sure he was treated at the vet immediately, when Ball needed to be transferred to the hospital for Small Animals in Roslin, the Colinton Cattery team made sure Ball Ball's food and belongings were sent to the hospital timely which we truly appreciate and feel grateful with. It can only be because of their team's genuine care for cats and that's why they are so supportive for both the cats and their owners. It was Ball Ball's 4th stay at the Colinton Cattery since last April and I still think there won't be a better place we could have found for Ball Ball. And to our biggest surprise, Colinton Cattery suggested to refund those days Ball Ball didn't get to stay with them and we knew they didn't have to do that, they were doing it also to try to support us on the medical bill we had for Ball Ball and that was really really kind of them and we are forever grateful with their kindness. Original review in April 2023: Huge thanks to the team at Colinton Cattery :) My cat is 13 yrs old and it was the first time ever for him to stay at a cattery, we were so anxious (i am sure my cat was even more ...) especially it was also the first time for our 9 yrs old daughter to be apart from our cat for 2 weeks!!! The Colinton Cattery Team has made the whole experience assuring and supportive, Megan / Rhona/ Charlotte / T / Sophia / Lily :) you ladies have been terrific and stayed well connected with us so we could see how well Ball Ball was adapting at the Cattery (to the point he refused to leave with us when we picked him up .....~). We have booked for 2nd stay for coming summer and if you truly care for your cat but have a trip you must get going with, then Colinton Cattery is the right place for you to trust.
I cannot recommend Colinton Cattery highly enough. The pods are clean, bright and spacious; the staff are kind, dedicated and knowledgeable and the communication with anxious pet owners like myself far exceeded my expectations. I received daily updates and photos whilst my cats were boarding with Colinton Cattery which settled my anxieties and assured me that my cats were safe and loved. The team are absolutely fantastic, I wouldn't choose anywhere else. Thank you, as always Colinton Cattery.
My elderly cat was very well looked after here. She had her own clean, heated pod with lots of bedding with access to outside and the staff sent me photos and updates which was reassuring. Very professional and highly recommended.
I am very impressed with the care shown by the staff. They sent me messages and photos to update me with my cat's progress. I like the fact that each pod has its own outdoor space which my cat appears to have enjoyed. Highly recommended.
We checked in our cats into the cattery for nearly a week. We were a bit worried beforehand since it was the first time our cats leave the house for more than a day, but it turns out to be absolutely fine. The cattery gave us update on the cats during the stay. Our cats seem to have a lovely time there and in good care. They came back home happy and one of them even became more socialised than before!
I could not recommend this place more! I was super nervous about sending my very shy rescue away for the first time, but I got regular updates and was able to see pictures of him so excited and happy. I will 100% come back here for Boots, because when I picked him up, he was more social and less fearful than when I dropped him off! :) The staff were incredible, and the regular updates were the best service to give me comfort whilst in another country. 10/10 recommend this to anyone
My cats just tried their first cattery stay with colinton cattery. Straight from the off communication from the cattery was friendly, reassuring and helpful. On the drop off day my cats details re food/health and other details were checked this was particularly reassuring as one of my cats has a fish allergy and can be ill for a good couple of days if given the wrong thing. Unfortunately on this visit they were quite scared despite the cattery staff doing their best to settle them in so I collected early, when I arrived the owners were there and were so friendly and understanding and encouraged me to try a short stay again at another point down the road to build their confidence with it. I will definitely be taking their advice as everyone I met was so kind and obviously passionate about cats and providing good care for them. I'm hoping once they become familiar with colinton and the staff it will be like a home from home for them, cultivating a good care option for your animals is so essential so fingers crossed they will find their feet (paws) as I only had good impressions of colinton cattery at every stage. Thankyou all!
We recently had our four cats stay at Colinton Cattery and we were very pleased with the level of care and attention our cats were given. The premises are lovely and tidy and the staff very helpful and welcoming. I would certainly recommend this cattery to everyone.
My cat Cybel has had two short stays recently with a week long stay coming up in July and it's great I can be so relaxed about leaving him. He comes back a very happy boy, the text updates are great to see how they are getting on and the pens are always lovely and clean.
We had our 6 month old puppy old English bulldog in for a trial this morning, from drop off to pick up the staff kept us updated through there social media, our puppy looked so comfortable and relaxed, the staff are extremely kind and professional, she is now fast asleep after a playful morning. She will be going back very soon, would highly recommend Winston’s☺️
After looking at the reviews for Winston's, I was really excited to sign my dog up. Looking at the website, it states that they accept small-medium breeds, my dog will fall within the medium category when fully grown. Unfortunately the afternoon before her trial, I got a message letting me know that my dog won't be accepted due to her size when fully grown. Such a shame and a little inconvenient. The information on the website needs to be changed so it is clear they only accept smaller breeds. The staff member that sent me the message was really lovely though!
Our dog has an absolute blast visiting Winston’s. They post videos and photos on Instagram all day so you get to see what a great time they’re having and the staff couldn’t be nicer and, more importantly, love on our dogs like they were their own. It’s especially excellent when we’re on holiday, as it means we get to see videos of our dog having an amazing time, relieving some of the guilt we feel for leaving him 😂🥰
One of the best doggy day cares that I have left my little cockapoo at. All the staff are amazing and he is always super excited to return and very tired at the end of the day after a fun filled day of play. Very happy dog, very happy owner! Would certainly highly recommend Winstons
i would happily recommend this doggy day care. they are so in tune with the dogs and really look out for their best interests. it turned out to not be the right environment for my dog after a couple of sessions, but they were so caring and kind about everything i wouldnt hestitate to recommend to others!
Winston’s is so great! My pup goes twice a week and loves it- she’s always so happy to see everyone and gets lots of love from the staff. Their communication is always good and having the Instagram to check during the day is great as they put lots of pictures and videos up. Also very easy to book via the online system. Great place, highly recommend 🐾
Our dog loves it there! Every morning he's dropped off he cannot wait to go inside and see everyone and in the evening, he comes back absolutely exhausted. The staff are excellent, they give you an update on what's happened each day and you can see how well they treat all dogs. Would definitely recommend.
I have been sending my dog there for about six months, and he loves it! The place is well staffed for the amount of dogs that are there, and his every need is cared for while he's there - He's fed, walked and played with! Would recommend Winstons if your looking to get a break, or even socialise your dog.
Not great, environment for certain dogs, especially as a couple hadn’t been neutered yet and got very aggressive so put in a cage The noise of the loud barking can’t be healthy Plus two of the dogs while I was there, where in small cages and looked really to timid to be in such a hyper loud environment
Jordan was very welcoming and professional. He kept me up to date with regular photos throughout the day. Very good price for the service he provides. Would highly recommend this service to anybody.
