Don’t board your dog here. When we first entered the building, it smelled really bad. I understand having multiple dogs in one building can cause some odor, but this was very bad. I left my dog here for 3 days, and when we picked him up, he and everything we had sent with him (blanket, food container, toys) reeked of the nasty smell. I would say it is not being cleaned as well as it should be. When I brought my dog home, he acted like he had not seen water in days and acted starving. I’m not saying they didn’t feed/water him, but I’m just saying my dog normally does not drink or eat like this when we feed and water him at home. We did not receive all of the toys back that we left with him, although we had to write down on a form what all belongings he had with him. When I booked with this place, I asked the owner what time I should pick him up, and she said anytime before 5. When we dropped him off, again we asked what time we needed to pick him up and she said just before they closed at 5. The place is cash only, so we went to an ATM before picking my dog up, only to find out that they charge you for another day if you pick up after 11am. I have no problem paying for the extra day but I would’ve liked to have been informed of this when I asked twice what time I should pick up my dog. We had to leave and go get more cash. The employee who was there at pickup acted shocked that the owner had not told us about this policy. It was just a bad experience overall. I will be looking to board my dog somewhere else next time we go out of town.

They are not just a boarding or grooming establishment, but a vacation spot, where they love your fur babies and treat each one like the king or queen they are. Everyone gets one on one time as they meet the needs and requirements of each individual. Each have opportunities to play, socialize, or rest depending on their respected guardians request. There's even a Facebook page (It's a closed group so you'll have to be approved) where they will update you with photos or videos of your fur babies throughout their stay.

Just Paws Hotel & Doggie Daycare is awesome. They take very good care of all the fur babies there. The dogs are pampered like they are babies... These dogs are spoiled... Lol 👍👍👍👍 …

Had our Lab, Jaxx, bathed & deshedded. First time there after recommendation from a friend. Seems okay. Probably will schedule a stay for him there during vacation & see how it goes. It is a 'cash only' business which I didn't know about. So I only had 3 $20 bills to pay & they had no change. I paid an extra $10 for the service. So... be aware.

Love Just Pawz!!!! My dog is so happy there!!! When we drive up, his tail starts wagging, and he runs right in!!!! Love that they post pics and videos of my dog and others on facebook!!!! They love them like their own!!!! So thankful to have a place like this that I don't have to worry about him when we are away!!!!!

Took my toy poodle to get groomed and i wish i could post pictures but don't know how. but i asked why he was gapped up her response was... His hair hasn't grown in yet but he was full of hair when he was dropped off .i was assured he would be be taken care of ears claws hair cut bathed ...but the killer thing is he came back home with a tic on his head ..i turned back around to go back and she was closed gone n wouldn't answer the phone still hadn't returned my call...i wouldn't recommend these ppl to the pound...

The people who work there are extremely freindly. They take excellent care of the pets. Would definitely recommend taking your dog here!!!!!!

I am very pleased with their grooming. They are way less expensive than anywhere else also.

They did a great job. I have a nervous older dog who is scared of everything. But when I picked him up, he was excited and happy. So it was obvious to me that they treated him well while he was there. Also his looked and smelled great!

Great service and happy fur babies when picking up! They're not opened sat-mon they just haven't updated their hours on Google.

I took my 2 miniature doxies and my jack russell there today for a nail trim. She trimmed one by one then on my way. They were super nice people, very polite and helped me even carry the doxie out. I would definitely recommend this place.

Miss Thea is awesome she really puts her heart into her work take good care of your fur babies not to mention the shampoo is awesome the smell stays on for long time I recommend her to everyone ❤️

I have been taking my Pekingese here for 2 years now and we love the staff! They have always done a great job grooming and we have never had any complaints!

I love Paws and Claws! I have 3 shih tzu pups and they love to go visit and be groomed. They always come home excited, looking their best and smelling wonderful. I have taken to others and my dogs would come home sleepy and tired. (drugged?) Now we only go to Paws and Claws.

I've been taking all my dogs here for years. They are true animal lovers. I've never had to worry if my dogs are being mistreated, wouldn't use anyone else that's for sure.

The staff is so courteous....Any one who love their pet...I highly recommend this clinic...My dog Chaz won't let anyone cut his nails but he trust the staff at this clinic...

We LUV Happy Hounds. They take such GREAT care of our two Girls while they're there. We get daily reports with pictures of them playing everyday. It makes us feel better, knowing they're being cared for by people who TRULY CARE about our Babies! (2 pics sent while we were gone)

We had a wonderful experience with our dogs at Happy Hounds. We will be using them for all of our boarding needs in the future. I loved the daily pictures that we got to ensure us the dogs were doing okay.

We had to find a last minute boarding due to hurricane Helene and Happy Hounds was awesome. They were very flexible and helpful, took care of ours pups and kept us updated with pictures!

I was so happy with our first experience at Happy Hounds! We went out of town for our wedding and unfortunately couldn't take our 7 month old goldendoodle with us. But you can tell from the photos, he was in great hands. I so appreciated the daily updates and photos of our sweet boy. Hank will be staying with them again soon while we're on our honeymoon and I'm sure he will have a blast!

We take our husky mix, Bailey, here!! She can be nervous around new people but is excited to go to Happy Hounds. They send us pictures every day showing us how happy she is there. The facility is extremely clean and the pups are very well taken care of at Happy Hounds. We could not recommend this place more!!

We boarded our babies here while we were on a cruise a couple of weeks ago. It was Aspen’s (small one) second time here. Ripp had never been boarded before so I was nervous. I was able to request for them to stay in a kennel together as well as go out for play time together & that definitely made me feel more at ease. I got pictures every day & updates about how they were doing. Ripp can be rambunctious & Aspen is usually a super nervous dog. But it seems to me that they felt super comfy with the Happy Hounds team & we will definitely be using them again!

I am not one to write reviews, but I cannot thank happy hounds enough for their outstanding service! I am very protective over my dog and who cares for her. Happy hounds is the first and only place I will board my dog! There facility is clean and well-kept, but more importantly it is evident they care about your pup! They text me pictures everyday of my dog and update me on her status, which I appreciate more than they know! Aside from this, my dog is always excited and happy when she arrives which says everything! I want to thank happy hounds and their staff for all they do!

Rachel is amazing and she loves animals! Not only does she love them, but she loves yours as well. She made me feel so comfortable and took such good care of my Sadie. She sends pictures of your fur babies and checks in. She even put my Sadie on speaker phone so I could talk to her. I can't say enough awesome things about her. I would highly recommend her taking care of your doggies!

Rachel is awesome. My dogs Lina and Ruby Tuesday loved it at her place! You could tell by their pictures Rachel sent to me while they stayed and how they acted when I picked them up! We had been having trouble with our boxer charging out of the kennel when we opened it and Rachel fixed that problem too!! I'm so relieved to finally find a place I feel comfortable with. We will be back soon. They also smelled so good from getting a bath.🐶

My friend recommended Rachel to us and we were so glad to find somewhere other than a kennel to keep her for a few days. Sadie Dakota had a great time with Rachel . I could tell that Rachel really spent time with her. She updated me with pics and made me feel really comfortable that Sadie was in good hands. Definitely recommend Wag Town !!!!

Let me tell you... When Darnell and Barbara my two rescue babies stay with Miss Rachel at Wagtown they don't even want to come home they love it so much. They come back reluctantly but fat and fine and smelling oh so good. Thanks Rachel me and my kids love you

Little Leo loves coming to see Miss Rachel!!! He is usually such a skittish little thing, but he just goes right to her! And I know that she takes care of him the way I want her to...feeding him the food I drop off and giving him his special snacks. Two thumbs up for Wag Town!!!!

I would not trust anyone else watching my dog Francis and my cat Fisher while I'm out of town or working long hours. I trust the owner Rachel not only with my fur babies but with my home as well. I recommend her to anyone in Hattiesburg looking for a sitter or for daily walks.

This is not a boarding service. When you call the number you get a recording asking why you are calling a 4 year old. Makes no sense.

Miss Trish is a gem. She treats the dogs as they were her own. We have a special needs dog who is blind and deaf and she loves the place. The kennel is clean and the help is kind and loving. Miss Trish communicates reliably by text and phone. We give Okatoma the highest rating and since our dogs are our family we are very grateful for their excellent services!

Best boarding kennel in Hattiesburg area. My dogs are always so excited to get there. Owners and staff are exceptional. They go above and beyond to help you with your animals when you need to travel or have an emergency.

We've used Okatoma for a few years now and they're fantastic. Our dog is very nervous and gets scared easily, but this is one place he's excited to go. He loves the Okatoma folks -- they're good to him and very kind. Highly recommend.

Our Great Dane "Zeus" stayed a few nights there and they are absolutely wonderful! He had a great time and they took extremely good care of him. Great Danes are huge and most shy away due to his size. They were open arms to our big baby and that meant a lot to us. I highly recommend here for your fur babies! They accommodate all sizes!! 💙

This is the only place I will use to board my dog. He loves going to “doggie camp”. He loves Ms Tish and the rest of the staff. They always take great care of him.

The staff is so friendly and they make you feel right at home. The kennel is heated so your furbabies stay nice and warm. The price is reasonable and I’m so grateful to have placed my dogs with them to care for during the holidays. They now have a lifelong customer!

I am one of those crazy dog owners. I have heard horror stories about dogs coming home from boarding with wounds, kennel cough, anxiety... After reading the reviews, I decided to go visit Okatoma Kennel and I was not disappointed. My dog spent two weeks with them recently for Christmas and I was a nervous wreck, but Ms. Trish was available through messages at all times. We picked up Ayla and she just seemed happy to be there. They have been in the business for years, and you can tell. The fact that they are animal lovers and live on site gives me peace of mind. They are my go-to place for doggy holidays now.

The owners are so wonderful!! She knew I was nervous about leaving my baby doggy!! My Tootsie, is 9 months old and never stayed away from home. They went above and beyond, even texting me pictures and updates!! I highly recommend this boarding facility!!

I trust my dog with this clinic more than any other place i’ve been to. They take extremely good care of her when she’s kenneled and all of the other services they provide for us , they make sure she is comfortable and well taken care of.

They took really good care of my beagle when I had to schedule a check-up for Biscuit. Their rates were beyond reasonable. Especially considering all they put up with from an old yelping hound dog. I love them, and won't take Biscuit anywhere else.

one of very best vet clinics in Jones County. Dr Matthews is very knowledgeable in his field and can come up with treatments that work that other vets never even think of or in some cases even know about. He knows his stuff. Trust level 10

Moved from Alabama back home. Didn’t know which veterinarian to use. Tried Dr. Matthews and haven’t gone anywhere else. Dr. Matthews is so kind to animals and people and is an excellent teacher. His staff are also loving and caring. Prices are good. I highly recommend Dr. Matthews and Briarwood Animal Hospital.

DO NO TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! This is my 16 YO yorkie...not a chihuahua...not an armadillo...before and after! This place is the 'Bates Motel' for dogs. Dark, junky...just dirty. Wish I would have trusted my instinct instead of giving them the benefit.

We have been boarding our three large dogs here for about a year, at least once a month I would say. Sure, the facility isn’t the cleanest and it’s a little cluttered, but our dogs are excited to go when we drop them off and are excited when we pick them up. They have never once acted skittish when we pick them up. They have been wet when picked up once but it was literally pouring outside and they had just gone potty. They help us unload and load every time. The prices are the best in town and they have stayed open late for us to pick them up an hour after they closed. Give them a chance.

DO NOT board your animals here!! I left mine for five days and when they brought them out they were covered in mud and the stench was horrendous! It was so bad I had to bathe them twice to get rid of the odor and will have to have my seats in my car cleaned. They literally looked like they had been sleeping outside in filth for the entire time. NEVER AGAIN.

Could barely get info over phone ... The guy obviously didn't care about getting my business. Offered ZERO information about their facility. When I questioned if they could care for older dog with special feeding needs he answered "Well.... we would try"... When asked if they have staff to care for dogs he answered "Well... Most of the time." I told him he was not giving any confidence that anyone would want to board their pet there. They certainly don't come across in a professional way. I won't go there and from the negative reviews I am in agreement ... I would give less than one star if that option was available. Sad. I don't know how someone can run a business this way. . . .

I took my puppy in and he had a trainee. I told them I wanted the teddy bear look but I didnt want him shaved. I overy heard him tell his trainee that customers would come in and ask for the teddy bear or a special kind of look and not to listen to all of that just cut them like they are supposed to look. I stayed while my puppy was being tended to and I heard my puppy cry and they told me it was because he didn't like the dryer. When I got my puppy back he had gaps cut in his hair and looked a mess. The guy told me that it would take time to get his hair like I wanted it and to bring him back in a month. When I got in the car with my puppy I noticed that his nails were bleeding. Needless to say I was as happy as my puppy when we finally left I didn't even worry about getting my money back and I didn't go back for the second appointment either. If you are thinking about going to this place don't just save time and money and don't. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Love this place! Had my puppy boarded overnight and had no issues checking her in or out. Well maintained. Also used the grooming services and they do a great job! Will use them again.

I would NEVER recommend this place to any one! I brought my cat to be groomed, (bathed and shaved), and my cat was was returned to me with patches of fur completely missing and LIMPING! I looked at his rear left paw and discovered that one of his claws had been RIPPED out!!! UNBELIEVABLE!! I tried to call and find out what had happened and was treated so very rudely. NO ATTEMPT to apologies or rectify the situation. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! NEVER BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT HIS/HER WELL BEING!!! Absolutely DISGUSTED!!!

I have a "hard to deal with dog" according to some, and this place takes extra special care of him. Mojo had a biting incident at a petsmart groomer bc he doesn't like his nails clipped, but they get them every time at canine country club. However, the beat part, is that I can tell he is sincerely okay when he's there. I mean he is happy when I pick him up, but he doesn't put the back brakes on when I take him here like he has done at boarding places in the past.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Our dogs were obviously distressed when we picked them up and the stench was horrendous, they are adult potty trained dogs who both had multiple accidents on the way home in the car. Will never return to this place.

Always takes great care of Leximus. I work off on boats an get stuck sometimes, an she helps make it to where my baby enjoys her life, an I get to keep her. Great place to have your pet board an cared for!

My Tootie loves her visits and I know she is well taken care of.
