Dog Sitters in Nantucket

John came on his own and seemed perfectly happy to hang out with the dog. They bonded instantly and I had no qualms Bertie wouldn’t be well cared for. We gave John the use of our car and he enjoyed exploring areas where Bertie would be able to enjoy lots of smells. John checked in with us on a daily basis with photos and reports. The house was in good shape and he’d even done linens and remade the bed. Very thoughtful. John is a very nice fellow who really loves animals.

Wende and Kevin came for a return sit with Jolene and Sadie - we were so lucky to have them back! The dogs love the company and attention, and the house is as clean or cleaner when I get back home. Great communication, lovely people. Recommended.

Katherine and Scott were excellent sitters. The house was very clean when they left and they even left us a bottle of wine and chocolate. What a nice surprise! They sent me photos of the cats and stayed in touch while we were on our trip. Their questions were minimal and the cats seem happy when we got home. I would highly recommend them for future sits.

Jayne was an excellent house sitter for us and the pups really appreciated her! She was careful to understand all that our dogs needed when were gone and made our trip out of town stress-free. We highly recommend Jayne to anyone needing a reliable and trustworthy sitter for their pets!

Upon Kim's arrival, I felt like we've been friends forever. You immediately trust her not only with you fur-babies but your home and all your valuables in it. Kim was very loving with my dogs and sent me pictures and updates everyday. The house was just as we had left it. Immaculate. My dogs were very happy and content and probably didn't even miss me. You can be so lucky to have Judy looking after your pets and home. From the beginning, we hit it off and Judy was so sweet and considerate the whole time. She kept us updated with photos and messages and asked how many we liked ;-) Our dog Charlie had such a great time! Going to his favorite dog parks and discovering even new ones! :-) Judy left our place so nice and cleaner than it was before. We were so relaxed leaving Charlie with her - she is an experienced pet sitters and knows animals. Usually, our dog can get quite sad when we leave, but this time he had a lot of fun! Thanks Judy! We’d love to have you again!

Rachel was outstanding in every way. We were glad to meet briefly before our departure, and left home feeling confident and happy that all would be well. More importantly, Ziggy - who intuited that we were leaving and hid under our bed - came out at once to greet her. Photographs she sent later showed that they were already firm friends. Rachel handled everything with grace, including a power cut which somehow set off our fire alarms. This was a crisis, but she summoned our local fire department, who came and disabled the faulty alarms. Despite that glitch, we sincerely hope she will come again!

Like the previous posted review, I have waited a few days to leave my own. Ilina is very personable. We meshed on that level and I thought I was leaving my cat and home in good hands especially since all her prior reviews had been 5 star when I booked her. The first thing I noticed was all of the footprints on the tile floor. We have a pool on our patio but it appeared she hadn't dried her feet before entering the house. The next thing immediately obvious was the remaining cans if food that should have been used if my cat had been fed properly. She did not communicate with us nor update with any pictures of our Patches. She did not push our garbage cans to the road so it was not collected.  She did not collect our mail so it accumulated in the mailbox. We don't require much nor expect perfection from our sitters, but we do expect they abide by the stipulations of our welcome guide. Her overall cleanliness left alot to be desired. Hastily washed dishes put away wet and still dirty, floors unswept, and her shower was a total mess with conditioner visible in gobs on the shower doors and walls.  I am unsure if she washed her bed linens  but will rewash as a precaution. As I mentioned at the beginning,  Alina is very likable but as a sitter, she was adequate as long as you don't expect much of her. My hope is that after reading this review, Ilina will take it as constructive criticism and be more watchful on future sits and return to the 5 star status of prior reviews.
