Animal lovers in need of friends.
This was only my second time using zeewoi, and both experiences have been fantastic, but Brian and Anna truly set the bar high. They took exceptional care of our pets and home, going above and beyond in every way. From the moment they arrived, they put me at ease with their excellent communication, sending updates and photos so we knew our pets were in the best hands. When we returned, the house was spotless, and it was obvious how much love and attention our pets had received. The pets seemed to miss them when they left, which speaks volumes about the bond they created. It's not easy to find people who care for your animals like you would, but Brian and Anna did just that—and more! They are genuinely kind and thoughtful people, and it was a wonderful experience working with them. I’ll never hesitate to use them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone seeking trustworthy, compassionate sitters. I’m so grateful to have found them!

Nelle is a super sitter - very kind, organized, thoughtful and dotes on our kitties. She is a responsible adult and takes care of everything, leaving the house spotless. We look forward to having her back again and would highly recommend her!

Mid 50s couple and French Bulldog parents
Jessica and her husband were great. My very timid GSP, who has stayed outside with other sitter, was comfortable enough to stay inside, which is a huge relief for me. They let little sleep in th ebed with them, and the dogs seemed relaxed and calm when I got home. The house was left very clean and tidy. All and all, a very good experience.

Caring and conscientious couple ready to sit!
Gina and Sean are amazing! I've recommended them to everyone I know on zeewoi. The house is immaculate, the yard looks great and my dogs are so pampered I think they are disappointed when we come home. I trust them completely and would have them here ANYTIME! Love them lots!

So grateful for Rachael staying with our furry children while we were away! Trustworthy, reliable and a great communicator. Thank you Rachael!

Loving pets and travel. What a great combo!
Scott and Cindy were just great and we couldn't have hoped for better caregivers. We were thrilled to return after two weeks to a sparkling clean house and two happy cats. Both cats seemed to have the indifferent attitude of 'Oh...it's you', and carry on with their day, ha. That is a true compliment coming from them! No stressors indications whatsoever. Scott and Cindy were also very attentive to our yard status, updating us on our lawn and shrubs since we'd recently had new landscaping. They kept in contact with photos regularly and assured all was well. :) I would only hope we can have them back one day. So please don't hesitate to invite Scott an Cindy into your home if you're considering a housesitter. You will not regret having them and enjoying great peace of mind while away.

Leah & Elias, were an absolute joy as housesitters. They arrived a day early so we could all meet and go over the pets routine. Our cat is relatively new and has a little separation anxiety but they managed his care really well. Our dog needed to be dropped off at a sitters and they took care of that as well. We also came home to a clean and neat house! Overall, they went above and beyond and I highly recommend them.
If we could give 10 out of 5 stars for Candace, Brian, and Chris, we would! They were amazing house and dog sitters for Brown Dog and Scout. They were so accommodating with our timeline and had read our welcome guide to a tee! It was so reassuring being gone for 2 weeks and knowing our pups were in amazing hands. They sent us daily updates and pictures and it was clear the dogs were so well cared for! They left the house very clean and even had all of our bedding and towels washed for us when we arrived home. Would absolutely recommend them for a sit and would love to have them back again any time!
Robyn was a great pet sitter and house sitter. She went way over and beyond my expectations!!!! She sent a photo of her and my dogs and they were looking at her like they were in love. And my cats are not very friendly, but she won them over also. I would highly recommend Robyn as a pet sitter and house sitter. She is a very sweet lady. I would love to have her watch my babies again and again.
Joe was an excellent sitter and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, dealing with one of our pup’s surgery recovery, which was an unexpected circumstance just prior to our trip. We felt fully comfortable and were so grateful to know that all of our dogs and our home were in such good hands during his stay. Highly recommend!
Hamsa was very quick to respond in all communication. She was prompt on her arrival and listened carefully to our detailed instructions about the house and dogs. While we were away the amount of communication between us was just right. When we arrived home the dogs were happy and the house was in order. A good sign that a dog sitter paid lots of attention to the pups is when we see a bit of depression set in after a dog sitter departs - this did occur after Hamsa left our home She is a very caring and nurturing individual.
Piper was a wonderful sitter and I would definitely have her come again. My dog .Winston loved her and was very happy while I was gone. When I returned home everything was orderly and clean, she changed her bed and washed all the towels. I totallly recommend Piper to sit at your home.
Ryan is a great house and pet sitter and I definitely recommend him. He took excellent care of my apartment and my dog for peace of mind when I was away. He is professional, friendly, and experienced.
The two-leggeds and four-legged members of this household give Tess a 5-star rating! We think she's one of the best sitters you will find - highly communicative, friendly, competent, reliable, and great with pets. Tess was also flexible about start and end dates to accomodate possible winter weather complications. For this sit, Tess was able to bring along her mom, Cathy. Tess introduced me to Cathy during one of our Skype conversations prior to the sit. It was a bonus to have her here with Tess. Their travel to Marquette was complicated by weather. A fierce winter storm swept across Michigan just before the sit. It took Tess and Cathy two days to drive here but they arrived, as promised, in time for us to fly out early the next morning. We even had time for a lovely dinner together and to introduce them to the dogs and house. We left the next day and never had a moment's worry while Tess and Cathy were caring for our pets and home. Tess sent us regular updates and photos. The dogs immediately accepted them as great new additions to their pack of friends - even our cranky, old chihuahua, Nike! We returned to happy pets and a spotlessly clean home. We plan to invite Tess (and Cathy if available) to return for future sits. Thank you, Tess and Cathy!
Oh my Goodness! Where to begin. Linda was the perfect house sitter for us and the perfect pet sitter for Olivia! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we returned from out two week vacation all our plants were alive, the garden was alive, the birds and fish had been fed regularly, and the dog was alive and happy! What more can you ask for, right? Well with Linda you get all that and more. Updates as you request - even videos of her morning walks with Olivia. The house as spotless as we left it, maybe even better! Even the porches were clean! Linda is a genuine treasure and our recommendation would be 10 stars if there were that many!!
As ever, Charlie was the perfect dog/house sitter - took loving care of our dog and looked after the house and garden as if they were her own; all returned in immaculate conditon!

Jess is awesome & I appreciate her so much! Highly recommend. My husband and I work 12 hour shifts and we leave too early in the morning to drop our dog off at her house so Jess will go pick her up & keep her until we head home and pick her up! That is so helpful. My dog Kahlua loves going to Jess’ house & loves her dog cheese! I always get updates and photos and Jess is super communicative. She has a big fenced yard and all the pups have tons of fun!
Working with Jess has been seamless and such a godsend. Excellent communication and easy to schedule and accommodate different walking/pet sitting needs. My dog LOVES her. I really like that she offers longer hikes and play dates, it’s such a nice option and so easy to coordinate. She’s a total pro. 10/10 recommend!
While visiting Tahoe this summer, we needed a warm and caring environment for our puppy dog while we went out on the lake. Tahoe Paradise Pet Sitting was the perfect place. They accommodated our need to drop her off in the early morning and was gracious to meet with us the day before to ensure we were comfortable leaving her with them. It’s an open environment with a big back yard for roaming… no cages or locking her up. They even offer to take her for a walk if we wanted. We highly recommend Jess and will definitely use them again if needed on our next trip.
Words cannot describe what an amazing person, sitter and animal lover Jess is. I have had the pleasure of working with her both professionally and as a client for several years. I can tell you as a former veterinary assistant myself, Jess is nothing short of phenomenal. Her kind, caring and compassionate demeanor translates into an ideal sitter. I have had Jess watch my three dogs and cat who are nothing short of social rejects. I was hesitant to leave my pitty and American bully with anyone because they are very territorial and unfriendly. But as soon as they met Jess, they were attached to her and were accepting when she came into the house while I was away. Having a trustworthy, licensed and experienced veterinary tech with several years of experience gave me a peace of mind, that not only was my fur babies safe and well cared for, but so was my home. Because of Jess I am able to finally take a vacation out of the Country because I know my pets and home are in good hands. Having that peace of mind is worth every penny and so is she. Do yourself a favor and look to Jess when you need experienced, kind and trustworthy pet care!
Jess is awesome with our dog. He's always excited when we pull up to her place and he comes home tired. It seems like he really loves it there! She's great with scheduling and communicating around pickup and drop off logistics.
Jess has been so great with our pups. She is methodical, she understands the cues of what they might need and knows how to manage all THREE of them effectively and responsibly. She understands what it’s like to be a dog owner and have them be your babies. She even went as far as cleaning up their poop when they were puppies in the house. If you are looking for someone who communicates well, is dependable and trustworthy, Jess has you covered.
I'm so glad I found Tahoe Paradise Pet Sitting. Jess is professional, punctual, and most importantly, my dogs love her! She always sends pictures of their adventures and has been very reliable. I highly recommend!
Jess took such good care of my high energy XL German shepherd for a long weekend and handled him with ease. She is a true dog lover! She listened patiently to all of my specific instructions about his special needs and took great care of him. She sent picture updates and even took him on a beach adventure. I felt really good to know he was with her and would use her services again and highly recommend to anyone who needs dog sitting or dog walking!
Jess always responds right away to any requests or questions. Sends lots of videos and pictures showing how incredibly happy and excited my dog is when spending time with her. I love using this service when I come to Tahoe for skiing. Gives me peace of mind and my dog is always extremely happy and tired when she comes home.
Yogi B always has a great time when he stays with Jess. She is an awesome, caring pet sitter.Jess always communicates right away and sends updates throughout the stay.We are repeat customers and highly recommend Jess.
Wonderful place to leave your pet in the Truckee area! Everyone at the Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge is so caring, loving and friendly towards the doggies! My dog always comes home happy and exhausted from playing and having a wonderful time! They also have social media and post pictures and videos of the great pet play time!!
Well staffed, clean and flexible hours. First time for my puppers being boarded. Very positive experience, would definitely board her here again.
We called ahead to try and get day accommodations for our two small dogs. No one answered so we left a message inquiring about their services and costs. Amber called us back and left a message, but failed to specify that we NEEDED to fill out an online form as that was the ONLY way to get accommodations. She only mentioned that filling out a form online would help “streamline everything”, not that it was a requirement. We drove 3.5 hours and showed up only to be told it was a requirement and turned us away. She was very unprofessional and refused to talk to us when we explained that she never told us it was a requirement. She took a very defensive posture and began to shoo us away instead of engaging in a conversation about the issue. Very disappointed in her communication skills as a front desk/employee. She only knew how to say “bye!” While we attempted to communicate where the ball was dropped. We just wanted an apology, which was never given…. We travel to truckee several times a year for snow sports and hiking and will not be contacting them for our pet lodging needs. I still have the recorded voicemail where she clearly does not state the mandatory online process for acceptance.
It was the first time we boarded our little chihuahua Wendy at Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge and it won't be our last! The staff was wonderful and Wendy was well taken care of. Wendy can be a handful but she got the attention she needed and when we picked her up she was relaxed and happy! We have boarded her at several places in the past and the experience was not nearly as good. Definitely two paws up from Wendy!!
We had to leave town last minute for a funeral and this boarding facility welcomed us with open arms. Their customer service is very friendly and accommodating. Our dog boarded there for about a week. Seemed all well and good til we picked up our pup. 3 concerning things happened during pick-up, 1. Our dog appears to have lost weight during the stay (looks like she lost maybe 5lbs, she is a ~55lb dog) 2. We called to check in on her half way through the stay and were given some reassuring comments about how she was doing. We asked to buy one of the bully sticks from the lobby and give it to her, adding it to our tab - however when we checked out there was no record of this. 3. We left her with a toy, bed, and blanket for her stay - They returned the toy and found the bed after a second look. They could not find the blanket. They called us back after we left and told us she destroyed the blanket during her stay. It seems odd to me that this was not in the notes at the time that we checked out. What additionally is strange is that destroying a blanket is very out of character for our dog - she is only interested in toys that have a squeaker. The blanket was a $100 Pendleton all wool blanket which adds a bit to the suspicion as it would be difficult to destroy and they have no pictures of the destroyed blanket. Might use them again for day care but with regards to boarding we’ll be going back to Rover.
They do a wonderful job of taking care of your pet. We feel confident knowing that our dog will be treated with love and care.
Wonderful Team at this place! Professional and very friendly It was an extraordinary day care for Figaro.our Jack Russel❤️🐶 Definitely another day care or boarding here if we are in this area. Do not hesitate to put your love one here 🙏❤️
I’ve read many good reviews and personally visited the lodge and decided this is a good place to board Koda.. I was gone for a month and wanted to find the best place to board him, on Facebook constantly looking for his pics and emailing staff asking how he is doing. They all said good things and staffs were wonderful when I met them. However, I picked up Koda today, he looked like he lost a huge chunk of weight (6-9 lbs) within a month, I can see his ribs walking and he feels so boney. I was heart broken and when we got home, he was glued to me and would not let me out of his sights. I was charged about $2.4 k for a month and for a good package with 3 playtimes. I really don’t understand why he is so skinny and malnourished…. When I asked the staff why he got so skinny, she just told me that because he has a lot of playtime… I don’t think so.. that makes me uncomfortable. Koda is my baby, it hurts me so much to see him so malnourished, and he would always eat anything and non stop. This is not our first boarding. He has never came home like this. I hope this place would give me a better answer and improve the system. UPDATED 03/28/2023 Cassidy (from the pet lodge) has reached out a day after I posted the review and was willing to pay for Koda’s vet fee and check if he is unwell. Koda’s exam came back perfect other than being underweight (lost 8 lbs in total after the stay) After a lengthy discussion with Cassidy, she was concerned and changed the pet lodge policy for every pet that stays longer than 7 days needs to get a weight check to prevent the same thing from happening again, and afterward I requested some compensation for Koda’s stay and we agreed on refunding $400 out of $2.4K. I’m glad to have talked to Cassidy and she was proactive to make changes to better observation on these long term pet’s nutrition level. I’ve changed my review from one star to four star!
This place was great when I went with my last dog, but now I can’t even get pricing. It’s not on the website, the phone went to voicemail, and my e-mail was responded with my account is not up to date for this dog (the other one died) so I can’t get pricing until I fill out some form and back and forth. Too hard, simple question.
This place is pretty pricey, but I feel so comfortable leaving my pet here. It's worth the money to know she is being cared for. She has stayed here twice and was remembered from the first visit. Staff is very friendly and the facility is clean. Much happier having her close to home rather than having to take her to Reno. Easy pick up and drop off.
TBF is the absolute best dog daycare/boarding that we have ever used. The staff is incredibly friendly and remembers each dog by name. They are professional, kind, and make us feel like our dog is part of their family. We wouldn’t be able to have a dog if it weren’t for TBF! Whenever we get in the car to drop our dog off we say “do you want to go see your best friends??” And she loses her mind! She loves it there so much! We are so grateful!!
I feel so grateful that Tahoe-best - friends is here. I've been taking my dog here for many years and she loves it! We had to evacuate our house in the epic winter and I was in a motel , then short term rentals and Willow was boarded at TBF'S while I was at the hotel. Even though I missed her so much, it was comforting to know she was getting great, loving care and enjoying being there with the other dogs and great staff!.
Ventured to Lake Tahoe for my bday & attended the Celeb Golf Tournament…unfortunately my BnB didn’t allow pets. Luckily Tahoe Best Friends was not far & was very affordable/friendly for me & my small dog. Staff was super cool…she(dog) came out unscathed & I know she made friends with all the dogs they keep. They separate the pets by gender which I was happy about. Highly recommend…would utilise their services again.
Colonel Fuzzby, my Ukrainian Grey Lowland Retriever, absolutely loves Tahoe Best Friends, and I think they're pretty great! He is always totally stoked when we arrive, loves playing with his dog and human friends, and almost seems bummed when I come to take him home! TBF is a SLT gem, all the staff are fantastic and truly 'dog people,' and both I and the Colonel highly recommend!!
My two fur babies loved their day at Tahoe's Best Friends. Great hours , enough time for me to get business done. Both dogs were sotired from their day, they both ate dinner and off to sleep. 😉 …
The best of the best in Tahoe. The facility is clean, organized and the staff is kind and informative. My Olive Oyl had the best time. My forever dog boarding/daycare. Thank you for taking care of my girl and giving me peace of mind while I was away.
I have a Chihuahua. Lexi is about 8 years old and she is a rescue dog. She hasn't been around other dogs since my husband and I adopted her a little over a year ago. We have never boarded her or left her with anyone else, so I was very tentative about the whole process. Christian got us all set up on Paw Partner and did the initial one hour evaluation to see if she was suitable in her interactions with other dogs. He answered so many questions for me and took so much anxiety out of the whole process for me. The next day we brought her in and left her for 7 hours. Nina checked her in, put me at ease, and was so gentle with Lexi. She was placed in a room with other small dogs. They posted pictures on Paw Partner so I could see how she was doing and promply returned my call--because I HAD to check on her, of course! They were kind to my baby and patient with me. The 7 hours seemed like an eternity to me, but she had a good time. Slept very soundly that night. No trauma at all and I'm not too sure she missed me as much as I missed her. It was a terrific experience for all of us. I wish Christian and Nina would move to Las Vegas and start a Best Friends there.
We were planning on traveling to lake Tahoe and found this place. We called to inquire about availability and the lady was very rude on the phone. I was simply trying to discuss the setup over 4th of July as my dog get anxious under loud noises like really any dog and we said she may need a retreat. They lady on the phone kept saying my dog was aggressive and asked me what conditions she aggressive under and she told me if my dog bites another dog I would be responsible for it. I kept telling her my dog was not aggressive and she kept insisting that she was. We told the lady that our dog was a Shiba Inu and I believe this lady may have had a bad interactions with a Shiba Inu in the past because she kept insisting our dog was aggressive. She said "I know what a Shiba is". I told her you keep insisting that our Shiba is aggressive and she is not she plays with other dogs, we take her to the dog park and she is very friendly. I asked her to stop insisting my dog is aggressive and she raised her voice and said "you know what we don't need your business here!!" And then she hung up. Very rude!! Horrible customer service. And so uncalled for. Wow really taken back.
Great spot! We’ll bring our dog back and he was happy and well treated.
Were only in town for the weekend and found them through the Paw Partners app to let our dog go to daycare while we did some non dog friendly activities around town for day. They were absolutely amazing, great space and all the dogs seemed so happy in their care. Our dog loved it there and we definitely will be using them next trip down to Tahoe! Also very nice they’re open 7 days a week :)
Customer service
Pet Sitters Plus takes great care of my animals when I am away. They leave a detailed list of time of arrival and departure as well as what they did while at the house.
Great Service. They are very friendly and thorough. We felt very better leaving our cats at home, rather than having to bring them to a kennel. Pet Sitters even left notes regarding their daily visits to care for them. Highly recommended.
You can tell they love taking care of your pet. The facility is very clean, they are very organized. My dog is very relaxed there. This is the only place I will leave my dog when I go on vacation.
Debbie is the best. Our dog loves her and her staff. I'm never worried about my dog getting the best possible care when I'm out of town.
Always takes great care of my pets, 2 of them are on meds. Appreciate the care Pet Sitters Plus gives them!! Love Pet Sitters Plus
Hands down the best place to board you better within the Carson/Reno/Tahoe area. Staff is beyond amazing!!!
Great place for your dogs to go for their vacation.
Best facilities and top notch personel.
Love Deb at Pet Sitters Plus. ❤
Need your pets looked after this is the place to go
I had a great experience with Dena and Liz. I booked my appointment one month early before my trip, Dena called me and explained their process and logistics over the phone and sent me a confirmation after our chat. 1 day before my trip, Dena emailed me to confirm our appointment and called again the next day to make sure I understand how my dog will get picked up. Liz was our dog Walker for the day, she met with us on time to pick up my dog and took care of her for a day. She sent me texts, pictures and a video for status update throughout the day. At the end of the day, my dog returned to us on time as a happy and tired pup. I would definitely use this service again next time when we are in Truckee.
I have been a client of Dena / Got Dogs? for over six years. She and her team have been punctual, trustworthy, and friendly. In addition, Dena has been a great resource for me when it comes to discussing my dogs' behavior and needs. I highly recommend her services.
Just a warning to those folks who might use this service. Her 2yr old male pit-mix slipped his collar and attacked my 10 yr old female coonhound in a public place after we introduced them on leash. This dog apparently has attacked other dogs. Fair warning because she said she sometimes brings this dog to customer's houses (others that have used her service also said that Dena said she was going to bring the pit-mix on walks with their dogs). The pit-mix is at least a 60lb+ dog and luckily we were able to separate them within 30 seconds of the attack. My dog was really shaken up and has a large hematoma on her throat that still hasn't gone down even several days after the incident with medication. My dog is 55lbs, but if she was a small dog she would have sustained more serious injuries or could have died. Not sure if Dena got rid of that dog (Shiva), so make sure if you want to use this service to tell her that you do not want her dog at your house or around your dogs.
Really rude phone call. I wanted some information and a possible dog sitter and I was treated very rudely. edit: lol, over and beyond to meet our needs? A simple we don't have space to dog sit today would suffice. I don't need attitude about it being last minute. I understood it was a last minute request, I was simply calling to see if they had any space. It also wasn't all day, it was for a couple hours, I thought this was a professional dog sitting business, not some person sitting dogs in her backyard.
All I want is just an apology, but the woman over the phone is so rude and kept insulting me and refused to apologize. It’s a scam company. They asked me to pre-pay 2 days before the dog sitting service, and they disappeared on the day they are supposed to provide the service. The service I reserved should start at 10am today, I called them 4 times during 9am to 11am , no one picked up the phone, no response for my text. They just disappeared. They ruined my vacation and we have to cancel the following schedule of the day. They responded me finally at 11:30am, refused to apologize, and said the sitter don’t have my phone number so it’s all my fault, how is possible you guys don’t have my phone number despite the fact that I am was texting them and calling them a lot. And when you go over the registration process online, there is no steps to put in the phone number at all, so how dare you kept blaming me and said it’s all my fault?? The woman over the phone is extremely rude, she spend her whole afternoon blaming me and finding excuses for herself,” even after I begged her to stop texting me anymore, but she just refused to stop annoying me(please check our conversation) , this is the worst experience I have ever had in my whole life.
Dina's communication is excellent and she is 100% reliable. She has been taking care of my animals for last three years. Highly recommend.
I love got dogs 🐶. They always have last minute room for my dog when we go up to Tahoe. Weekends too! It takes away the stress when we go skiing or to a beach all day. My dog is always pleasantly tired when we return. …
Dena is wonderful. My dog absolutely loves her. She is reliable, kind and excellent with dogs.
We were in town for our daughter’s wedding and had a last minute emergency need for pet sitting services for 4 dogs. Dena jumped on it and found people to help us out. We were very grateful.
Dancer is in love with Dena and Liz, can't wait for them to come every week day. Such a great, fun service!
Luna and I LOVE the Pet Playhouse!! We’d had an AWFUL experience at another local daycare/boarding facility and then that owner followed up with even worse customer care. But Pet Playhouse is EVERYTHING we were looking for!! Reasonable rates, caring staff who are the same from visit to visit-which gives us both comfort, friendly, warm and consistent communication. This is the place to go if your pet, like mine, is your bestie and deserves the best when you can’t be together!!
My pup literally jumps for joy when she figures out that she's on her way to daycare at Pet Play House. The staff are kind and professional. They often greet my pup by name when we drop in and sometimes send a report card home at the end of the day. I love finding out which friends my dog played with and what enrichment activities she enjoyed. I only wish I got a report card every time! Our experience with boarding has been positive, too. I'm really grateful that I found this place for my dog to socialize and play.
We love sending our boy to doggy daycare and boarding here. They treat him like one of their own and we love the activity sheets that we get everyday. They always have fun events planned for the dogs and Beau always comes home happy and tired!
Our fur babies, Gracie and Gibson love going to the Pet Playhouse for play time and boarding. They get plenty of love and attention and enjoy playing with their fur friends. (They are generally "worn out" when they come home). Always a sign that they had a good time!
He’s been here a few times for day visits and always has fun - even to the point that we’ve dropped him off soley for him to play because he gets excited when we head in. Last night was his first overnight (he has a big anxiety issue whenever he’s not in direct sight of a human for some reason). This anxiety has been an issue as we couldn’t find someone local we trusted to overnight him without trying to lock him in a kennel - which he doesn’t do. We picked him up this morning with his tail wagging and excited to be playing - tells us he had fun and was excited to play again in the morning. 100% recommend this place to care for your pup(s).
If u are boarding your dogs or even leaving them for day care please be aware of this spot. We left both of our dogs here for boarding from 6/12/2024-6/15/2024 on pick up day my dog had noticeable scratch on her nose that wasn’t there when we dropped her off!! They simply said “ we don’t know how she got it?” And then both of my dogs came back with a strong coughing/gagging..have taken them to the vet is diagnosed with kennel cough!! Mind you both dogs are up to date on their vaccines!!! Called pet play house and the only thing they could tell me is “oh well we didn’t see anything weird.” Like what’s that supposed to mean?? OBVIOUSLY there was a dog(s) there that were sick OR they did not disinfect the room properly!!!! Now because of their negligence my poor dogs are sick and I’m making an extra unexpected expense.
This business is wonderful. The staff is friendly and caring towards the animals in their care. They are easy to work with and the website is easy. I'm so pleased that our Bella is happy to go and tired when she returns. I'm impressed with the little report cards my pet comes home with. It's cute. I also am impressed with the services they offer. Thank you all for care you give our girl while in your care.
My fur baby absolutely loves going to “school”. That’s really all I need to know. Every time we exit the freeway onto 4th street she knows exactly where we’re going, and she can’t get out of the car fast enough when we park. Also, I love love love all the cute parties they do around holidays. They cost extra but I’ve always been pleased with what we get out of it. I can tell the girls who work there like the dogs and they seem to know them personally. Another big positive is they have the dogs wear Velcro collars for safety. They are very picky about vaccines, which I appreciate. We love Pet Play House!
July 2020: First review about this place and I may have updates: It is our Beagle's second day here. Our dog has some anxiety/fear toward strangers (he is fine with dogs) and he's going through regular behavior training with Bark Busters (another great company). Before we moved to Reno, NV, we had paid a visit to Pet Play House and explained the situation to them. We travel a lot and need a safe/friendly place where the dog eventually feels comfortable just like where he used to go before we moved to Reno. The entire place seems well maintained including their overnight boarding areas, pet play areas, and common areas. The lobby is inviting, and the staff seems friendly. On my dog's first day there, he was obviously nervous, everything is new to him including the house, surroundings, people, and the daycare. He did bark a bit but it looks like the staff took it slow and eased him into the whole strenuous experience. We took a break next day and took him back there again and he jumped out of the car eager to go in and make friends again. The second time we took him there was better - he greeted the friendly girl who he met last time and it seems to be going okay. To most people, this review will be overly informative, but to those with dogs that are fearful/anxious, let me tell you know incredibly important it is to have such an establishment around. It is a sure shot way to continue to socialize them and tire them out. I continue to look forward to making our pet a part of your amazing play house. My wife and I are forever grateful to you and your staff already :) UPDATED JULY, 2024: This place is still going strong.
Everyone was very kind upon our arrival. My dog seemed very happy when I picked him up and this is the first time he has eaten all his food while being boarded, which is an indicator that he was happy at his temporary home. Furthermore, Pet Play House was very accommodating when the snow storm made us a day late picking up our dog. We will definitely use Pet Play House again for our next boarding session.
I took my 8-month old pup here today for a full day of daycare and I’m pretty sure he loved it! The drop off process was easy and quick (after I fumbled through papers looking for my vacc records; I’m sorry and thank you for your patience!!) and everyone who works there was great. I could tell Bernie was in good hands for the day and he has been snoozing since I picked him up. Bringing him to Doggie Days was such a better option than having him stay home all day while I attended a conference. I would definitely bring him here again!
My doggies have enjoyed their 2 daycare days, and are boarding for a few days soon. The staff is very comforting. We had a tour of the place and they are very organized with belongings. Happy customers so far!
I can’t say enough great things about Doggie Days! I think it says it all when my furry kiddo makes it very clear that she loves it at Doggie Days. She always comes home very happy, clean and with her tail wagging! Everyone at Doggie Days provides outstanding care for all the dogs. How they remember who each dog belongs to and are able to keep names and leashes straight is beyond me! But, it makes a big statement about the care and attention they provide to the dogs. Cleanliness is never an issue and I highly recommend and only recommend Doggie Days to anyone who is seeking daycare or boarding for their furry kiddos. Thanks to you ALL for being such a big and important part of making Jude’s life so wonderful! 🐕🦺🖤🩶
Great place! Our new favorite for boarding our 3 dogs. We came back and they all smell amazing not like they do sometimes after staying in a boarding facility.
As a Veterinarian with 41 yrs practice experience.... I am deeply upset with the care my dog received at DoggieDays. I needed to board my 2yr old lab as I was having knee replacement surgery. Not only did she get discharged with a left front and left hind leg lameness (that the staff minimized and attempted to conceal) but despite having a bath there (I was charged for 2).. she came home stinking of industrial fecal stench. (Likely because they are not properly cleaning their astroturf or bedding). When a dog comes up lame during their stated "supervised" play... the owner should be called right away. Pet should be confined to not worsen the injury. 5 days after leaving the kennel my dog is still lame LF (likely an elbow injury).. seeing a specialist orthopedist next week. Additionally... these people refused to return calls... very unprofessional. Over my many years as a DVM... I have needed to board my pets periodically... this is without a doubt the worst experience my pet and I have ever experienced. The last thing I needed recovering from knee surgery... is now... having to manage a very lame dog... Fair warning... the true sign of a professionally run kennel caring for your pets... is how they deal with issues when they arise. These folks unfortunately don't seem to care... and just hope the public "won't notice" a lameness... Unfortunately...as a lameness Veterinarian working with horses... I did. And I am sure... my situation is not unique. Check your pet carefully... and take a whiff too. Terrible !
Just picked my two boys up after a 10 day stay. They are happy, healthy and exhausted from playing. I did not have experience boarding my dogs in the past. Doggie Days was recommended by a friend and I'm so happy to find a place that loves and cares for my dogs so I don't have to worry. Every staff member I have encountered is professional and seems to really like their job. To me, that says a lot about the business and the owners. I have another trip planned in September and hopefully my boys can enjoy a few more days of Doggie Days summer camp at that time. Thanks so much Tim and Staff.
Doggie days couldn’t be better. We mostly used them for day care but did occasionally board them. They immediately recognized our dogs and called them by name even after months of not going. We have now moved to a new state and realized there is no place like doggie days. My boys will miss this place.
I recently started bringing my ~5 year old rescue with separation anxiety to Doggie Days - and he LOVES it! Doggie Days came highly recommended from a coworker - and they were right - this place is great! My Maxxie is so excited to "commute to work" 1-2 times/week. He comes home with just enough energy for us to play and have a walk, but the destructiveness of separation anxiety has seriously mellowed out since we started going to Doggie Days. His confidence around other dogs has increased and he is more playful with other dogs at the dog park and when visiting friends w/dogs. I absolutely recommend Doggie Days to anyone who is hesitant. **Update** I am now bringing my second dog, Penny, to Doggie Days and she is LOVING it! She has been going off and on for the last two years, and her ears perk up as soon as she figures out where we're going in the mornings! She comes home wagging her tail every time!
We love Doggie Days! They are hands down the best in town. Tim, Kristy, and all the staff are friendly, amazing, and truly love all the pups! Our dogs always have a great time and come home happy. Always a great experience! Thanks Doggie Days!
Doggie Daycare is great!! Staff get to know your fur baby, provide large yards for play & exercise and covered areas with comfortable cots & blankets for naps. Much larger than the old facilities with all new play equipment & climate control kennels for overnight boarding. I have used both day and boarding overnight services and they were awesome. One can view the yard from drone photos (no touring, it would upset the animals to have strangers coming through). Love ❤️ the friendly staff. I won't hesitate to bring my girl for care.
I cannot say enough about Stacy and her staff! My dog started going to Howliday inn as a pup and he absolutely loved going there for day care. Every time I picked him up he was happy and asleep before we reached our front door. As an older dog he would periodically be kenneled at Howliday inn. The staff was sure to always send me pictures and updates on his stay while I was away. When I picked him up he always seemed well cared for and never anxious to get home. The facility is fun, friendly and extremely clean. I would recommend Stacy, her staff and the Howliday Inn to everyone with a dog!
Would 100% recommend Howliday to anyone needing boarding services. My dog Mash can get a little nervous around a lot of other dogs, especially bigger ones so boarding him is always a little worrisome for me. With Stacy, I had nothing to worry about at all. Without even asking, she sent me daily photos of my boy smiling and having a great time. I knew he was in good hands! I could tell she cared about his safety and well being. Thank you Stacy and team! I appreciate you.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Stacy and the entire team at the Holliday Inn Pet Resort. We initially planned on boarding our dog locally as the place we were staying in Walker, CA didn’t allow large dogs. This would have meant boarding him from Friday mid day until Thursday morning at a minimum, even though we’d only be in Walker from Sunday to Wednesday. Doing some research, we found the Howliday Inn, and the reviews were great and it seemed like we should check it out. Having planned a “pre-run” about 5 weeks before, we asked if we could get a schedule a visit, and Stacy set it up for us to meet with Hanna. We had Huey with us and he was pretty exhausted as it had been a long drive from Victorville, CA to Gardnerville, NV. He was ready to stay then, but we still needed to get vaccine records and paperwork sorted. But we got a tour and confirmed it was better than the online pictures. 5 weeks later we dropped off Huey with Hanna, and once we got to our destination, logged into their website and checked out the video feed. He was already out with his new friend Hanna and the other large dogs. We checked in a few minutes on Monday and Tuesday and we could see him getting more comfortable and less anxious about being there and looking like he was doing great. Each day we also got a few pictures and texts from Stacy that he was doing good. On pickup day we got stuck in traffic and called saying we might be late but we were still on time before noon to 2p naps for the pups. When we arrived Huey was panting and a little damp, because they had already gotten pools out, but remembered that he liked running through sprinklers, so they had set some up, and he was getting the other dogs to run through the sprinklers with him. Which was really great, because he slept most of the ride to Victorville, which allowed us to get home much faster than the previous trips in either direction. Thanks Again, Michael, Lisa & Huey
If my dog could talk .. he'd say he had a great two days ..this is a clean facility....with a stimulating environment for your dog...the personnel are friendly and professional.... I'm happy with my experience and my dog was happy and well cared for and safe...all that I could ask for while I was out of town!!
We are so happy with Stacy at Howliday inn! We can’t just take a 3 pound dog any random place and hope she stays safe! It’s just how it goes with a tiny dog! She cares for her as if she is her own. We travel from tahoe to have our dog come to stay. Thank you Stacy for always going above and beyond! We adore your spot and you!
I have an extensive background sending my precious dog Naga here. Plus i’ve had a tour of the facilities. I am routinely sent photographs of the staff CREATING activities for naga to be sensory and intellectually stimulated- but overall it’s just fantastic care. They have plenty of room, bedroom suites to themselves if you choose that, and every staff member knows every dogs name. stacy the owner is above and beyond. everyone cares for the pets. also, dogs can’t lie! my bulldog is thrilled with her body language every time she enters that place. for the worried- send your pet here!!!
My pup & I LOVE this place. I use the daycare and the boarding and my pup is ALWAYS happy & tired! The play yards are nice and maintained. The doggies are not left alone. The staff is AMAZING and they fully love their clients (both human and doggie)! The facility is clean and well cared for. GREAT place!!!
Between being available for questions, being greeted by the owner, Stacy, who remembered our and our dogs' names, and the quality and quantity of employees present, we can confidently say we were able to relax and enjoy a vacation without our dogs. Howliday stands out as the best of the best boarding facilities we've used. They are advocates for the safety of each dog in their care, and have a good human to dog to yard ratio. It's about the care for your dogs above all else! As someone with experience in the pet watching industry, l highly recommend this business. They are so kind and involved, send awesome photos of the pups multiple times a day, and really clean! When the time comes, I will choose Howliday again.
Awesome place to take your dog, clean, respectable staff, fun vibes. My puppy loves going ! Best doggy day care hand down !
I love bringing our Corgi here when we fly out of town. We started coming here when our first dog was still a puppy so naturally we were pretty nervous about leaving her with someone for a week. Let me tell you that after meeting the owner, Stacy, and seeing the facility, we had no worries. Stacy sends us updates and pictures of our little pup playing and having a great time with all of the other dogs. They really make it so you never have to worry about how you’re dog is doing so you can have peace of mind whenever you leave your dog there. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!
