Layla (Golden Retriever) has fortunately attended Top Dogs since she was 4 human months old (approximately) old, full time daily. As at 1 November 2024, she is turning 8 humans years old. I express this to give background that I speak as a long term attendee willingly. I would like to testify the fantastic team at Top Dogs are truly an extended family to help grow, train, nurture and protect every individual furbaby within their care. That peace of mind and the welcoming friendly environment and all they provide, is what has secured Layla's attendance. Recently, Layla has had a few special treatments (one of the many special extra's that Top Dogs provide) via their caring groomers, having had her Golden Retriever long fur paws trimmed, nails manicured and pedicured. We trialled a few doggy daycares in the area and ultimately went to Top Dogs due to the professionalism and care the staff put into our pets. These guys know what they’re doing. Our pets also come out smelling so nice after which is a HUGE bonus as they usually get really stinky at other daycares! Thank you for looking after Luna and Archie, they’re always so tired in the best way after a day of fun and play at Top Dogs.

Pearl has been at Top Dogs since a puppy,( she is now two) and has been very happy. The team approach is perfect- loving, firm when needed. Being there is a delight for her! Thanks so much.

Have been bringing my 7 month puppy here for a few weeks now and I’m so happy we started. She loves her days here once a week and it’s really helping her development and social skills with other people and dogs. Being a very inquisitive and energetic puppy It’s a bonus for us that she’s absolutely exhausted by the time we get home. Thank you to the team for taking such good care of her. Our dog has been going to Top Dogs day care for over 2 months and this has been the best thing we have done for our dog! Not only is it a dog day care, they actually provide training using clickers. The dogs get great attention and care. The service is very professional and friendly - and our dog Ralph loves it there! Every dog we see there flys out of the car super excited to go in the mornings! Highly recommended!

Pixie loves Top Dogs Day Stay (and so do I ) . She genuinely does not want to leave when I go and pick her up at the end of the day. As a frightened little rescue dog she has gained so much confidence from going to Day Care on a regular basis. I would highly recommend Top Dogs

Axel loves coming so much that he nearly jumps over the front gate! Staff are super-friendly and the grooming is a really good standard too! Great price too for multi-passes.

Our boy loves Top Dogs and always comes home relaxed and happy. The owner and her team who have been there since the beginning are nothing but supportive, knowledgeable and empathetic and i so appreciate this as part of the service as there are a few things we have needed help with to get our boy responding as he should be. Luna has been going to The Dog Club since she was 4 months old and there's never a day when she's not delighted to go in 😃 She uses the daycare and boarding facilities and always comes home happy and tired after a full day of play, enrichment activities and rest. The staff are amazing and you can tell how much they love what they do. Thanks TDC for being Luna's favorite hangout!

I can't say enough good things about this doggy daycare! It’s the best in Auckland. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and I completely trust them with my pet. I was particularly impressed with how they remember each pet's name and provide detailed feedback, including if they've been a bit naughty that day. They also offer boarding facilities, which was a lifesaver when I had to visit my family in India for an emergency for three weeks. I knew my dog, Smoky, would be well taken care of here. She was happy and healthy, and I could see that from the numerous photos and videos they share on social media. Even though I was far away, I felt close to my furry mate. Highly recommend!

Doggos love The Dog Club! They get so excited when we drive in and sleep really well when they get home 😉 . The staff are lovely and assess each dog based on character, not just size. My Mars has been going to the Dog Club nearly 2 years now. She loves her weekly sessions and always comes home tired. The Dog Club team are amazing, they really put the dogs first and take the time to get to know them. They know Mars is a high energy pup that needs to be constantly occupied so switch her between large and small dogs when necessary. They know quiet days don't suit her so they let me know which days are busy for her. They know she's not great in some games so they find other suitable options for her so that other dogs can still play. They are the nicest bunch of people and always smiling. Their overnight kennel care is also fantastic. They don't over book and there is always someone on-site with them. I couldn't recommend them enough. Don't hesitate to take your pups here, it's worth every penny

Although, at first, Daisy was not keen on going to Dog Club, we persevered, after the third time she suddenly clicked that she was there to have fun and I would be there to pick her up at the end of the day. Lovely caring staff, who take an interest in her, post photos ( highlight of my day) and hand a happy tired Daisy back to me at the end of the day.

I am absolutely thrilled with teh TDC and the amazing team! My dog always goes in happy and comes home tired but content. I couldn’t imagine a better place. I highly recommend it to everyone because our pets truly get the best care here!

I could not recommend the Dog Club more, it really is one of the best. The girls are all super friendly and have the best intentions for all the dogs. Our pup can't wait to get inside and play with his buddies once we get there!! Easy to book daycare online and affordable. Loads of activities for the dogs to keep them busy. Its a wonderful place for dogs. Very friendly and approachable staffs. Good management. The dogs come back home clean and healthy. My dog loves the activities and games they have there. Best service.

I suggest considering another facility if you don’t want to risk your puppy getting hurt. Utterly upset about the state my puppy came back in. Very disappointed with the lack of attention and care from the team. Check the photos - my one year old miniature schnauzer has blisters all over her paws evident that she was left out on hot concrete for hours, evidence of violent mounting all over her body - hair is falling out of where the claws were digging into her skin. Now she is suffering kennel cough (though she is vaccinated) spewing foam and painful wheezes - the date of symptoms arising aligns with the day at daycare. It’s excruciating to watch my puppy go through bleeding pain that she is unable to walk, then to see her lick all over her body from the itch of the scratches, and now hearing her painful coughs. Please if you are understaffed, dont take more dogs than you can look after.

Don't take your dog here if it needs to learn how to build trust and is a bit rough due to anxiety. They cannot handle it and will ask you to take them back home. It's disappointing that you specialize in dogs but can't handle one that isn't trained or confident. Immediately introducing a dog to a room full of 40-50 dogs all surrounding and barking at you is not a great start to muster up the courage. You could have spent a little one-on-one time to at least familiarize yourself with our pup. We ended up picking up our pup not even an hour later and found him tucked away in a corner with his head down extremely anxious. We understand you are not trainers, but it is simple logic not to overwhelm an animal immediately. Our pup had to be dragged/carried inside the dog pen due to how unfamiliar everyone and everything was. We had mentioned our pup's anxiety to unfamiliar dogs/humans in the online form, but it seems it was unread and no precaution was taken. If you were to be put in a room with hoards of people, you wouldn't want to be hoarded either, and you would want to slowly ease yourself into the environment. Just seems highly unprofessional and shows a lack of skill for dogs who are not 'drawing-room dogs' or ones that love everybody and everything. It's a waste of 50 bucks for our pup to spend 30 minutes there and end up even more anxious than before. I suggest you at least allow the dog owners to come inside and spend time with their dogs/monitor them during the assessment till they build up the courage to be on their own with the other dogs. Heading into a room with so much unfamiliarity will obviously not help. Having someone you know and trust can easily make this issue better.

I am so happy with the great service kayleigh at VIPP provides! My golden retriever has learned so much going on pack walks and is a much better behaved dog since joining as his manners became quite bad after going to a different doggy day care. As well as the dogs enjoying adventures with their dog friends they also learn lots of good manners and basic obedience training on their walks. So many good tips to help improve our pup! Highly recommend! 5 stars isn't enough!

We used Very Impawtant Pet Pals & Kayleigh for pet sitting services when we went out of town for a couple of nights as a trial for our longer overseas trip in July, and we are so happy with everything Kayleigh had to offer. Koda our 2 year old goldendoodle can be very excitable and highly energetic, and Kayleigh was just amazing with him. She kept us updated with photos and videos - we were so happy see Koda thriving under her care. Our house was well looked after and how we left it. In addition to this Kayleigh had also taught us a few tips and tricks to manage Koda’s excitable nature better. We have been using her techniques and can already see a change. Thank you so much Kayleigh, we are so happy to have met you and cannot recommend you and services enough. We will 100% use you again in future!

VIPP is such a great experienced professional dog walker! She took great care in building a relationship with my dog and he has come a long way with his basic obedience training learning loose leash and now has the best recall! The adventure pack walks are so good for my dog to socialise and he also has great dog manners as well. Great experience and trusted to take good care of my dog!

I met Kayleigh volunteering at the SPCA. She recently pet sat for my cat Archie, who can be a sass pot! Kayleigh was great with him and gave him time to come to her. Archie definitely grew attached to her whilst we were away which is awesome as he loves people interaction just takes a while to warm up to someone. The house was also well looked after and exactly how we left it. Having volunteered with Kayleigh multiple times at the SPCA in the canine department she is also highly skilled in caring for and training dogs. She has taught me a lot and it’s great to see the improvement in the dogs & puppies there 🐶. It’s clear she is a passion for animals. We’ll definitely use her again in the future!

We used Very Impawtant Pet Pals recently when we were away for 3 weeks to look after our fur baby Koda and wow we were absolutely blown away by Kayleigh and her services. Kayleigh went above and beyond for us, for example she introduced various enrichment ideas to Koda, brought him a new crate in our absence (his old crate needed replacing). She truly looked after him wholeheartedly like she would for her own pet. We are so happy and grateful with how well she cared for him. We won't hesitate to use Kayleigh and her services again and also recommend her to whomever needs a reliable, honest and truly passionate pet sitter. Thanks heaps Kayleigh for everything !!!!

Kayleigh has a deep understanding of dogs and is an excellent trainer. My dog is very excited to go on his pack walk each week, arriving home tired and content.

I am greatful that Kayleigh @Very Impawtant Pet Pals started a pack walk for the South Auckland area. My doggie looks forward to her weekly outing and it’s a great way for her to socialise, play & learn good behaviour. Kayleigh does an awesome job teaching obedience & our dog gets better each time. Great service & well worth it.

Kayleigh is super professional! My 4 year old Labrador felt very comfortable within minutes of meeting her. She takes him for a walk 3 times a week and we had her house-sit our place for the first time last week. Bruno is quite fond of Kayleigh now and she is very reliable and punctual. Will certainly be using her services for years to come.

Our boy, Kiwi, has the pleasure of walking with Kayleigh on a weekly basis. He is absolutely loving it. Kayleigh has worked wonders with Kiwi's training through positive reinforcement. Beans has been consistently going to Pets In The City Mt Wellington since he was a puppy. He loves going there and taking part in the activities on offer that day. The staff are always so lovely and greet you (but mostly your dog) with a smile on their face. Seamless drop off / pick up each time. Daily photo updates are also appreciated.

PITCMTW has been by far the easiest dog kennel/boarding facility I have dealt with - easy to set up your profile and choose your packages and book your dog in. The initial assessment of our pup Edward was so easy - and all his day stays and boarding has been a breeze. They take such great care of every pet - they know all their regulars so well! All the staff are AMAZING <3. Easy, quick, amazing, reliable and super friendly. Eddie LOVES them all as do we. Highly recommend taking your pups there. :D

My dog Nambi has been with the PITC family for over a year and we love them! He started off so nervous and 2 days later, he’d changed to become so excited when he knows I’m taking him to “school”. The staff are so friendly and almost always smiling!

We love the staff and do does our pup. She was eased into daycare life with kindness and patience, and she loves her time at PITC.

Hadley, our golden lab, absolutely LOVES going to Pets in the City Mt Wellington. As soon as we turn down the driveway he cannot wait to get out of the car and go and see all of his new friends. It is honestly such a relief knowing how excited he is to go in. It takes the worry out of leaving him for an extended period of time over christmas because we know he is going to be loved and well cared for - and you get facebook photo updates too! We know he has lots and lots of fun because he is always exhausted when he gets home! We also appreciate that we can drop off and pick up whenever as most other places have quite strict slots that may not always suit. Would definitely recommend PITC to anyone looking for a loving place to take care of their pets.

My dog has been bitten on two separate occasions at this doggy daycare. She’s the most gentle dog and this is the only daycare she’s ever been bitten at in her 10 years of life. Will never go back again.

Amazing groom my little boy was so happy here he has been very anxious at grooms from a past groomer but the lady here was very gentle and patient with him

Don’t buy products from here, they are very poor quality, I was basically called a liar at reception. You have just lost a customer, will find another groomer, which is a shame, because Vicki is very good

My puppy attended daycare here for a few months and we had a wonderful experience. My puppy loved going there so much, would literally sprint to Central Bark as soon as she's out of the car!

You can happily leave your fur babies at Central Bark without worrying about anything. Their service is exceptional and are always welcoming. They are under a new management now but the quality of service is unchanged, just new faces. There is no more half day service so cannot by any packages for half day daycare. My dog always get excited to go there. Sure is his second home. They have cover parking with a door through to drop off your fur babies. Reception is always very helpful, ring them for any other info

The Central Bark Team work tirelessly to ensure our fur babies are having the very best and most comfortable stay, whilst their humans have to work. I can’t recommend you all enough; Basil adores his games and walks and most of all seeing all his furry companions & angel Aunties. Thank you for making this his all time favourite place. The love and attention you shower our wee man in, especially at the beginning when he was a little unsure, was reassuring and helped us get through the anxiety of leaving him for the first time. Took my Puppy here for her haircut last week and it was the best she's had yet, we will definitely become regulars here. They asked me exactly how I wanted her to look, and they made sure that she had the best experience ever. Being a puppy she's very social and active but she came out looking absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better job. Amazing team and fabulous groomers in a wonderful space with plenty of parking for a quick dash in and out.

I would not recommend it if your fluffy family is a little too protective or not taught well as the instructor there is not trained enough to deal with them, were refused to be served there today and had to go somewhere else.

At last a dog day care / hotel actually IN THE CITY !! Great location with parking. Great premises, super clean and boutique like. It doesn’t feel like a dog factory like other day care centres. Great service & feedback from the staff, they are so caring. Our babies Raven & Phoenix are loving their weekly stay and so are we ! We definitely recommend Central Bark.

From the moment Central Bark opened it was clear that at the core of everything they do is a shared love of animals and their well being. My little dog was quite nervous for her first 6 sessions and the team at Central Bark really worked with her to make her more confident. Now she can't wait to get there and runs through the front door and straight up the ramp to get to her friends. I have also found her behaviour outside Central Bark has changed and she is more confident and happy all round. Thank you team Central Bark for making Miss P so happy!

The second I answer the call to take Louie down, he goes crazy with excitement. He is more excited to be picked up for his walks by Wendy or Bella than he is when I get home from work. The walks are varied, exciting and stimulating. These are an essential part of Louie’s exercise and stimulation routine. He gets to explore new places and socialise with an amazing pack 🐶 🐶

Great professional outfit, who care for the dogs while finding a scent of adventure for all on the walks. New dogs are carefully vetted and aggressive dogs turned away. I have been impressed with the variety of doggy experiences and my mutt is over the moon when the van rolls up the drive at 7am. Peace of mind is worth having.

Our dog Cooper hears the van coming down the street and gets super excited. He loves loves Greg and runs straight into the van. The walks have been great for his social development being a lockdown puppy. We couldn't be happier with Paw Support.

The Paw Support team is our girls second family, although if she could talk she’d probably theyre say her favourite family! Greg & team have showed their love for our pup since day one. Theyre passionate about and patient with all pups & are always responsive & ready to help us out. We are first time pup parents & feel more confident with our extended whanau at Paw Support!

Wendy and Greg are an incredible team and take such amazing care of my two dogs. We couldn't recommend them more highly, and the dogs absolutely adore them!

Kelly and her team really care about cats and their owners. My cat had two, one month stays this year. When I collected him it was evident he was happy, healthy and really well looked after. Kelly was very accommodating when my dates changed due to a delay outside my control. Highly recommend Paws-A-While for anyone seeking exceptional care for their cat.

Environment is good. BUT the charge doesn’t make sense. We dropped our two cats at 6pm on Thursday and picked them up on Friday 4pm, not even 24 hours but they charged us 2 days fee instead of 1 day. Not happy with their policy.

We viewed and liked it on the drop off day it was a house of horrors including the owner - we left our cats there overnight cancelled our overseas trip we were leaving the next day the expense was huge but our animals come first. Our bigger cat had not been fed or given his meds since we dropped off them off - the cattery owner had failed to mention they had cat flu recently and if our cats got it they would be put into their cages and left in there - it got worse the owner was going overseas and was leaving the care of all the cats with an employee who had 6 weeks training I would never ever recommend - it was appalling what Kelly did and told us - I am so so upset

Sadly my cat developed signs of cat flu and required veterinary treatment. I completely understand this is a risk with using a cattery however we weren't notified regarding a case of cat flu on drop off it was only mentioned on collection, had I been notified in regards to this prior to boarding my cat, I could have found alternative arrangements for care especially as when I was told on collection the case was identified over 10 days ago.

I had my cat in the cattery for a month ,I could not have been happier with his stay at paws awhile ,Kelly and her team are wonderful ,it took my boy over a week to get used to the cattery. As he had never stayed in one before ,now I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with paws awhile if again necessary Excelkent Thank you Kelly x
