We were so fortunate that Melanie was available to stay with our 15-year-old cat, Little Bits for 12 days. Our sweet female calico has gotten older and a little more frail dealing with hyperthyroidism. My husband and I were concerned yet hopeful that we’d find the right person to look after her needs. Well, Melanie was a gem; we didn't have a single worry the entire time we were away. We were also very grateful that she was able to arrive the evening before we left so we could go over things in the house and get acquainted. We knew instantly Bits would be in excellent hands. Melanie was watchful and very attentive. Her communication was beyond exceptional and we loved getting updates with photos of our girl. It was obvious that Little Bits was very happy with her new friend. When we returned we found our home clean and in perfect order. Melanie did an amazing job!

Fun and friendly family of four!
David, Jenny and family were SO sweet and are amazing pet sitters! They sent us frequent updates and pictures of the animals, and our animals clearly loved them. From snuggling to hiking, they took great care of our pets. We live in the jungle in rural Puerto Rico and they dealt really well with the trials that can come with that :) Our dog and one of our cats don't always get along and they listened to all the nuances of their finicky relationship and I felt confident that they took it seriously and knew what to do to avoid a problem They left the house beautiful and left us the sweetest gift of framed pictures of each of our animals! Their son is a wonderful photographer. We will definitely be keeping in touch with these guys :) and can't recommend them enough!

We are so pleased to have had Jason and Bethany in our home. They are truly animal lovers -- it showed in every communication we had with them. We think Paige and Loki were actually disappointed when we arrived home instead of them. LOL! They also took extra time to carefully manage Paige's food intake. We feed her carefully measured amounts (to maintain her weight) and schedule when she eats so she doesn't throw it all up. Jason and Bethany followed these requests and Paige was happy and healthy because of it. They have been homeowners themselves for years and kept an experienced eye on our home. They even spotted a minor leak from our dishwasher and we appreciate that level of care. We'd give them 6 stars if we could. We hope that Jason and Bethany return to sit for our kitties Paige and Loki. They are welcome anytime.

Erica watched my senior dog and cat for 12 days while I was traveling internationally. She was organized, responsive, and took excellent care of both my animals and my apartment while I was away. She sent me photos during the stay and my pets absolutely adored her. She has watched my pets before and I always trust her to take excellent care of them. Traveling internationally and leaving my pets in the care of a sitter always makes me a little nervous, since I won't always be immediately reachable. However, Erica's communication and obvious competency made me feel very comfortable about leaving my pets in her care while I was away. It's very obvious she adores spending time with the pets and caring for them. I came home to a clean apartment and very happy and healthy pets. I would highly recommend Erica for any of your sits!

We’re so grateful for the love and care Vanessa gave our two dogs while we were traveling for a weekend. During our trip, she sent us pictures and our dogs always looked happy and at ease. Even during a thunderstorm she cared for our scared older dog who unfortunately had a little accident, and she cleaned up with no complaint. Lea is seriously the best! We lucked out big time with her as our house sitter. She didn't just watch our home; she made it sparkle, and our dog Mezy? Well, he fell head over paws for her! Mezy's doesn't always warm up to new folks so easily but Lea had this magical charm that had him wagging his tail from day one. She showered him with cuddles and playtime, and we got daily photo updates that were basically cuteness overload. But Lea didn't stop at being the dog whisperer. Every nook and cranny was squeaky clean, and it felt like we were walking into a Pinterest-worthy home. Our plants thrived under her care too. Communication was a breeze with Lea. Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.

They took very good care of my pets which involved feeding cats twice daily, fish once or twice a day and filling up fountain for birds. Animals were healthy and happy when I returned. Nothing was lost or broken, and Diane even found a lost grinder part that had fallen into the cats food while I was using it. They are a pleasant couple. They were invited from Wednesday to Sunday. They arrived on Monday so had 3 days instead of one to learn the pets routine. They also informed me that they wouldn't be leaving until Monday morning, but that worked out well since I was mistaken about the end date of my cruise and couldn't get home until Monday. Everything was left neat, but I had minor housekeeping to do (clean sink, fingerprints off glass table, sweep floor). They are older than stated on the profile, which they said only allows 65 as a top age. 68 and 73. Bruce has health problems that requires he sleeps sitting up in a chair that has a leg lift, which luckily I had, so he slept in my living room. They are fine caring for cats, but my friend with a dog decided to find another sitter rather than leave him with them (she was going to pay) because they seem somewhat frail.

Joanna and David were absolutely perfect!!!! This was my first actual time using a sitter and they went above and beyond what I expected. I have a 1 year old Bully Breed that I adopted 6 weeks ago, so if you know dogs you know what they had to deal with :)) They sent pics daily and kept me updated. We were not able to meet before I left but they were nice enough to stay to meet me when I returned. My house was cleaner than when I left, all bedding and towels washed. Charley, my dog, was happy to see me for a minute when I got home but immediately went back to play with David, so I am thinking she had a blast while I was gone. I am totally sold with this process after having Joanna and David here. If you have the chance to book them for your trip, you will not be sorry. I am hoping to use them again when they return to Florida.

First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.

How lucky am I to have found Camp Merricks! Denise & The Camp Crew went out of their way to accommodate my older pup while I hit the slopes at Wintergreen over the Presidents Day long weekend. Camp Merricks is the BEST! So happy we found Denise. We recently adopted the sweetest dog that was fostered by Denise. She understands dogs and loves each like her own. So happy with the care my dogs received for a 6 night stay over! Denise is amazing! She understands the needs of dogs. I have had the most amazing experience with Debbie and the team at Paws and Claws. Finding myself in a very difficult spot and needing boarding for my four cats at very short notice they were able to work with me and accommodate. My life was up in the air and I was desperate to do all I could to keep my fur family together during this difficult period. To say the team there were guardian angels would be an understatement. They went above and beyond to take care of, help and support me and the cats during their stay, what they did to ensure that I was reunited with the cats… was priceless. They are all now with me in the UK, all together again, in no small part thanks to the love and kindness of this team. I am forever grateful!
We went out of town and had to board our boxer. Years ago we boarded her and I won’t mention the kennel, but when we returned she was very sick and it took 6 weeks, with vet bills, to get her back on track. Since then we have always taken her with us on vacation. However, this short get away we did not. I chose Paws and Claws this time to board her. For the “Meet and Greet” I got a full tour with Nala of the facility and a run down of their schedules. The owners even came out to meet me AND Nala. The staff was amazing as well. I got pictures and updates sent daily to my phone. Nala is very attached and not use to other dogs or people but she absolutely warmed up to everyone and we could tell she was content and happy. Their facility even made special accommodations for her. No extra fees for additional potty breaks or play time (she was let out I believe a total of 7x a day). No cages, a large warm kennel with privacy curtains, including a nice long outside run and a huge fenced in play yard. The prices were excellent but it was the people that sold me. Even with the pick up I was greeted again by staff and the owners. You can tell they adore animals and they truly care about your animal having a comfortable transition. Everyone knows how I am over our “special” little girl and I felt good knowing she was with good people. After researching, I found that they exceeded all expectations over any other kennels in our locality. It’s comforting and convenient to have a business like this in Amherst County!

Phil and Debbie are wonderful people and always baby my big, spoiled hound dog! They have a great set up for the dogs so that they have both personal space and outside space to run around and play. They keep cats as well. Your pets will be well cared for at Paws and Claws!
Our two dogs have stayed there twice now. They seem right at home in their surroundings. Love the access to the outdoor play area. Everyone who works there is caring and it shows when we drop off and pickup our happy pets.
Paws and Claws is the very best home for our pets. I call it a home because this facility is unlike any other kennel I've been too. They are loving, concern for the pet as well as the owners feelings, they give the pets their own sleeping space and a nice run space which they run the animals several times each day. You can't go wrong leaving your pets at Paws and Claws also very affordable. Thank you Paws and Claws for the piece of mind on our vacation.
Paws and Claws is like a summer camp or resort for your pets! This was our first time boarding our dogs there. I was so happy I found them. It is a family owned farm and boarding facility (dogs,cats,birds etc). They are the nicest people and very knowledgeable and experienced. The facility is clean and very organized. I am very particular about where I board my dogs. This gave me the peace of mind I needed to be able to go away and enjoy my vacation.They have all the amenities your pet will love and even play soothing music and essential oils at night. They send you a video of your pet playing outside in the huge fenced area every day. They request that you come for a visit with your pet on a day prior to boarding and let your pet explore and get all the info about your pet.Please check out the pawsandclaws website.It is in Amherst Va which is about 30 minutes away for me but worth the drive. Please check them out. You and your fur babies will love them!
We love taking our Great Dane and Golden Doodle to Paws and Claws. The dogs are well cared for and loved on as if they were at home. The facility is top notch and you won't find a better staff anywhere.
Debbie and Phil were absolutely wonderful! It was our first time boarding our dog Lincoln for a long period and we boarded him for 11 nights at Paws and Claws while we went on vacation. We were nervous boarding him for the first time for so many nights, but thanks to Debbie and Phil and their wonderful care, he was right at home!! They cared for our fur baby like he was theirs! He had such a blast playing frisbee, had tons of outdoor time, and received lots of love! He already misses staying with Debbie and Phil at Paws and Claws! This was our first time using Paws n Claws for boarding our dog and I will say that we are extremely happy with Debbie and staff! She is super friendly, prompt responses, and most importantly great with our dog! Super flexible and affordable, but knowing that our fur baby was in good hands is priceless! Our sweet girl Freya LOVES Petz !!! Whether it’s day care or boarding she is always so happy and is truly sad to leave !! I love how intentional the staff is to care for our girl, and how excited they are when she arrives. Even moreso I am never anxious sending her to Petz, because I know she is well cared for. I wouldn’t send our girl anywhere else.
So happy we chose Petz to board our dogs. I loved the updates with pictures of them having a blast with their new friends. I was worried about how our German Shepherd would be around new dogs, but she fit right in. Our Westie was hanging right in there with the big dogs he’s used to being with. The staff was fantastic! We will 100% use Petz again. They came home happy and exhausted.

I was a little apprehensive about boarding our 18 month-old Bouvier, but the staff a Petz took good care of him. I was reassured with their daily photo post. We'll be using them again when we have to leave town.

Best kennel I have ever taken my dogs to. The owners and other workers are super sweet and treat the dogs so well. Pictures I included with the review are ones taken by the people at the kennel. They take pictures every playgroup and post 2x every day - once on weekends. It is so reassuring to see your dogs playing and happy every day, it makes it easy to relax and enjoy your time away. They also worked so well with my dog Kiki who is super anxious away from home. She was so relaxed and happy there. There was no question she felt loved and safe. In addition, our puppy Bean is a very picky eater and they worked with him to try and entice him to eat each day. Also I was able to check in each day by phone or text to see how they were doing. I can not recommend them enough. I am so happy I found them. 😊
From the moment I walked in to drop off my dog to the moment I went back to pick her up, I had really good feelings about leaving my dog here. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming and it legitimately felt like they cared about animals and their jobs. I also felt like I received clear information about what to expect and was excited to know they were going to work with our dog to see if she could play with some other dogs even though it was her first time boarding at this particular place. On top of that, they post some great pictures on social media (which is what I included with my review) that allowed me to see my pupper happy at play and making friends.

Our pup spent one night and got a bath! He seems to have had plenty of fun (love that they share DAILY pics of dogs on IG) and he’s clean and smells great! They did cut one of his toenails a little too short, but they informed me of that right away. We’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely love K-9 Cloud 9! We started putting our 6 month old lab there almost 7 months ago and she LOVES it! She gets beyond excited everytime we mention 'daycare'. She jumps through the gate when she gets there! The staff has always been super sweet and kind! They are incredibly personal and know our girl by name! Overall, it is truly an amazing experience!
We have a 6 month old Australian Shepherd named Tye who is mostly blind and deaf. After hearing many great reviews about K9C9 from friends, I decided to give them a call and inquire about doggy daycare. Our other two dogs do not require constant supervision, but with Tye I wanted to get him established and comfortable with a kennel in case we ever needed their services. The person who answered the phone was so kind and caring and answered all of my questions about accommodating our boy’s special needs, so I felt comfortable scheduling him for a trial day care. Well, the trial turned into booking twice a week for the foreseeable future because he loves it so much. The staff is so affectionate and patient with him and they always give me updates about his day and progress when I pick him up. They have also coordinated a walk schedule for him to help us with the potty training process. The live cam is everything!! I would feel totally comfortable boarding him overnight if we ever needed to. Whether you have a differently abled dog or not, I highly recommend K9C9 for daycare.
I was nervous taking my pup to anyone initially, got a few recommendations to check out K-9 Cloud 9. Absolutely love taking my pup here. She goes here for their day care and boarding. She literally jumps out of my car and jumps around excited to go inside. And everytime we go everyone is always welcoming and friendly, they definitely put my mind at ease with the care of my fur baby.
When I first went I was kind of nervous,But I have gotten used to the young ladies there and they are good people,I love the camera where you can watch the dogs play and he has a lot of energy so he is tired when he gets home
First time ever boarding a dog. So happy we chose K-9 Cloud 9. They took great care of our baby girl and we could even see her play with the other pups on the web cam. The facility is very well kept and extremely clean. The employees are very helpful and assuring that our pup was in good hands. 10 out of 10 recommend.
My goofy 9 year old Jane, who I adopted 7 mths ago, has such a good time at K9 Cloud 9 and it's such a great feeling for me! Theresa and her staff are the best! The Daycare program super, as is the Boarding, Thank you K9!

A big shoutout and huge thank you to Lyell for the loving care she’s shown our big fluff ball Great Pyrenees pup this week. It’s been such a great environment for him having other dogs to run and play with.
We had a wonderful experience using Doolittles day care service while skiing for the day at Wintergreen (convenient location at the base of the mountain). Doolittles is a dog’s dream, with plenty of green space, rolling hills, and a pond to play in. Lyell was patient and caring with our puppy, and socialized her with other dogs in a safe, supervised environment. Though it was our pup’s first time in a large group setting, she had the best time and didn’t want to leave!
My pups always come home exhausted from having had so much fun!! A couple of times I've left them somewhere else where they don't have room to run and play. When I've pick them up from the other place, you can tell they've been bored. When I pick the pups up from Lyell, they aren't rushing to get in the car. They would prefer to stay longer. Lyell is the BEST!!
Best place ever to board our two Golden's. Free space for running around, pond to swim in, warm shelter from the weather and... A great operator, Lylle, to care for them. Just like being at home for them while we're gone. It's like they don't want to leave when we pick them up, because they're having a great time.
The best of the best: my dogs love Lyell like they do my family, and she takes great care of them and knows them each intimately, as she does every one of her charges. I leave them with her knowing my dogs will have a better time during ourfamily vacations than I do.
Our dog Charlie had an incredible time here for the day while we were up on the mountain and wanted him to get some exercise with his buddies. We will for sure be a repeat customer for years to come !

This is an awesome kennel. The dogs stay in spacious areas that include shelter, fields and woods. Lila runs it with beautiful and total love for her charges. Our own four puppies, when they see where we're going, get totally excited.
Our pup considers Doolitles her favorite destination. She whines in anticipation as we head up the drive. We are very grateful to Lyle for her level of care with our Gracie . Don't think twice . This is the place !

We loved Kiki watching our dogs. Our dogs are older so need some extra loving and cleaning up after. Kiki was so kind and loving to them. I think they were sad we came home she spoiled them so much. She stays in contact with you giving you updates each visit including pictures. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
Kiki is wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about Kiki. She is so kind and passionate about caring for your pets. She is truly a blessing! I have always been very nervous about leaving my dogs, but Kiki made me feel comfortable while I was away visiting family. I had Kiki do overnights and home visits during the day. I have two dogs with very different personalities and she was great with both of them. I loved that she sent me frequent updates with pictures to let me know how they were doing. She brought some different toys and treats to help keep them entertained on the days it rained while I was gone. One of my dogs is on the more timid side and by the second day she was out with Kiki instead of hiding in the bedroom (which she normally does she when I leave town). Kiki also made sure my dog’s medication was given and any and all training rituals were followed while I was gone. Additionally, I had my flight canceled and Kiki was flexible and was able to care for my dogs two extra days at the last minute. I had no concerns about my dogs being with Kiki while I was gone and I will definitely be using her next time I go out of town!

If you need a professional pet sitter you must choose Kiki’s Pet Care. We recently had Kiki care for our cat Jasper while we were away on vacation. This was our first time using a service and we were a bit nervous. She came in advance of our trip to meet Jasper and we were so impressed with her questions and the detailed notes she recorded to make sure Jasper would receive the proper care. We left for our trip knowing that he would be in great hands in our absence. Kiki sent daily video and pictures showing the excellent care he was receiving and how comfortable he was in her presence (he can be disagreeable at times). We were 100% pleased with his care and Kiki’s Pet Care is who we will always call in the future.
We hired Kiki to stay overnight at our house and visit several times during the day to feed, walk and play with our 2 dogs while we were out of the country. She also dropped them off and picked them up from daycare. I am usually a nervous wreck thinking about leaving my dogs if I go out of town, but I was completely at ease with Kiki and Amber taking care of them. They even downloaded WhatsApp on their phones so they could send us updates and photos while we were gone. What an amazing find! I've already recommended Kiki's services to a co-worker. Will definitely use her again!
Kiki was a lifesaver for our two dogs! My wife and I were nervous about dropping our dogs off at a local boarding facility due to their anxiety and not being familiar with the environment, so we were looking up different options and came across Kiki's site. Her response times were very quick and her prices are extremely reasonable. We ended up paying less for our two dogs to stay home in an environment that they were comfortable in rather than having them being anxious and nervous in a brand new environment. You can also tell Kiki loves and cares for the pets she looks after. We received pictures and updates after each visit and saw our nervous and shy dog warm up to Kiki in no time and even give her some kisses! We will definitely be doing business with Kiki in the future!
Kiki took excellent care of my pets while I was away on vacation. She was very thorough in taking notes during the initial meeting and sent photos and/or video updates every day that she cared for them. Her prices are reasonable and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional pet sitter.
Kiki's service has been amazing for our cat. Our cat is a bit shy towards the skittish side but she was perfectly comfortable in Kiki's care. She played with our cat and also put radio for her so that our cat wouldn’t feel lonely. Kiki is very personable and treats your fur baby as her own. She sends texts with pictures after every visit. Great place for your doggy. They are treated like family. Our Fontana goes there for day care so she can socialize with her new doggy friends. And when we go , she love going there. The girl that takes care of you precious pet are awesome .They are well taken care of and also spoiled. You will love this place.

Lyla has helped us understand our new German Shepard puppy as much as she helped Stella be a better citizen! The facility is clean and has lots of space. All the employees are helpful and so friendly. Lyla even came to our house to do some additional training. Stella boarded here 9 days while Lyla worked with her everyday. I learned about them from a friend who raves about how they groom her white golden retrievers. Can't say enough good about this business and its employees.
1st time using FPC. I walked in to see my kitty after 10 days & she was relaxed, laid back cleaning herself when we walked in (unannounced) to pick her up a day early. I loved that they had later Sunday hours so we could scoup her up as she's young & we'd missed her terribly while we were away. I could tell she had been well taken care & was so pleased I'd chosen to leave my baby in their hands. Highly recommend & will use again! Thanks Forest Pet Care! ❤
Our dog is not agreeable to let us cut his nails. I can take him to Forest Pet Care where Lyla uses a dremel and he tolerates her doing this in only a couple minutes. She's knowledgable about dog health and dog behavior as well as grooming. There are multiple outdoor areas include grassy areas where boarded dogs that like to play together are often playing and running under supervision. The indoor kennels look and smell clean. This location is convenient and the management is reliable (associated with Pet Craze).
Love that Pet Craze has expanded to support more fur friends in Forest. Our dog Luna spends time at both locations for daycare, boarding and grooming. She absolutely loves going...to camp as we call it! Give them a try you want be disappointed.

Great staff, they seem to love what they are doing. I have the upmost respect for them being around all different types of animals and all the noise and stress that comes along with that. My only issue would be is they don't answer the phone alot. You have to catch them @ the right time

I have 2 beagles who both have separation anxiety and have never been boarded. This past May I had no choice but to do so because I had to attend a funeral in NY. My husband and I were anxious about leaving our girls behind for 3 nights but after their stay at Prestige Kennel, we felt so much better about it! Allison and her team kept in constant contact with me, responding to my random texts checking on my babies. They sent me photos and updates, assuring me that they were having a great time and socializing well with the other dogs. When we picked them up they looked happy and healthy. We booked a one night stay there for them in August and this time we aren’t nearly as anxious about them staying away from us. Thank you to the whole team for loving up Rosie and Sophie while they were with you!
Can't say enough about Prestige! Our dog, Griff, is always so tired when coming home from a day spent with his dog pals! The Prestige staff is knowledgeable and so friendly! We have recommended Prestige to a number of friends and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for doggy daycare or boarding! They also always get the best photos of our pup so that's just an added bonus :)
Prestige is absolutely top notch. They are willing and able to work with all breeds with their competent and highly trained staff and organized structure. Whether it's a play group or private care, they treat your pet like their own! Our boys were spoiled to death there and there's no place we would rather send them!

Even when I call on the phone, they know me as Amber’s and Patty’s mom. At drop off, my dogs are aways thrilled to be there and the staff is equally thrilled to have them. Prestige was absolutely wonderful to our guy when we had to go out of town. The facility is clean and we came home to a very happy and very tired puppy! And they even post nightly pictures for us to check in on him!

First time we left our doggo ever and we weren't sure how he would respond. He has had aggressive behaviors towards strangers but the team at Prestige knew exactly what to do. Ollie stayed 8 days and he had a great time playing with the dogs and getting lots of love from the staff. They brought out his best self and made our trip enjoyable because we had zero worries about our baby. Highly recommended! Their facility is far larger than all the others and you have never seen a cleaner kennel. I couldn't find even one dog hair or dirt anywhere! It even smells great. I don't know how they do it! We love Prestige! The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and remembers us and our pups by name. We’ve tried other boarding facilities in Lynchburg, and our pups have been the happiest and most well adjusted after returning home from Prestige. It’s worth every penny for us to know that our pups are being looked after and loved so well while we’re away. Best in the Lynchburg area by far!
