Providing Pet Sitting in the Saco, Maine
Independent, professional, cat lover! Looking for new yards to meditate in :)
Koreena was a nice person and good house sitter. I appreciated the time she spent with the cqts they were happy upon my return and i got almost daily photos and check in which was great. The house was clean upon return and she even washed my towels and sheets which I didn’t expect and appreciated. She was able to give my cats medicine and monitor their health, which was great. She monitored the cats well and would update me. The only small thing is she saw improvement and made the decision to stop a medication my cat was getting without discussing it with me (because she saw improvement in his eating and stool). I expressed disappointment, and she apologized however my cat regressed in improvement as a result. I would have handled it differently and kept him on the med or alternated days and just wish she would have run it by me before making that decision for my cat. Besides that I would definitely use her again and feel overall very happy with her care.

Travelling, pet-loving family of 3
Samantha was very communicative from the start and stayed that way throughout our trip. She sent daily updates and photos which we loved seeing and it was obvious that our animals were happy and well cared for. I had what I thought would be a 2 day repair project planned, and they were so flexible and patient when it turned into a full week! Yikes! Came home to a spotless house and happy animals and would welcome this nice family back anytime.

Love Furbabies!
We have had lots of wonderful experiences with TH and still it is hard to imagine a more caring, thoughtful caregiver than Phyllis. We are so lucky that her personal business finds her in our area often enough for us to engage her repeatedly. Tim

Compassionate, energetic and loving care provider
Responsible, reliable, friendly, helpful, resourceful. Some (understandable) family matters may have precluded a chance for her to replace linens (no time for them to dry) and perform a final vacuum in her spaces, but everything else was spotless. Probably tmi; in truth, I completely recommend Claudia and would be happy to see her back again.

Anita was a wonderful dog sitter for Balto! They were super tentative, made sure to ask any and all questions before we went away, and they sent the best updates about Balto while we were gone. I felt so much better knowing my dog was in great hands, and I could not recommend Anita enough! Quality care, and our apartment was spotless when we returned home.
I've always been lucky with my sitters through zeewoi, and this time was no exception. George, Larissa and their four lovely children were the absolute perfection in house guests and I cannot praise this wonderful family too highly. They did all the usual things you'd expect, gave my beautiful girls all the love and care I could wish, walked them at least once every day despite the best the British weather could throw at them, and sent me regular updates and photos so I could see how much love they were getting. They also left the house cleaner and tidier than I think I've ever seen it! I'm a bit worried that all they did for the week was walk and play with the dogs and then clean the house - I'm beyond grateful, the place looks amazing! They really are the very nicest people too, George has a hilarious sense of humour (thanks for the funny texts George!) and Larissa is calm, kind and an inspiration as a mother. I really can't wait to have them back to look after the girls again in the summer and wish the whole family a wonderful trip until then. If they come and house sit for you then you are in for a real treat!
This is our second time with Jamie and she’s really a great sitter for our dogs . She’s a trusted person, smart. You can leave her your house and pets. Can’t wait to have Jaimie back next summer
Such a great family! George, Larissa and their crew were a fantastic bunch. Our large senior dog got an eye infection right before we left for our trip and so we had to ask them to do some extra eye care. When it was clear that it wasn’t getting better they were willing to load up Lorax and take him to a vet appointment and then apply the prescribed ointment for the next week and a half. Definitely above and beyond care that we really appreciated! Our house was left in great shape, our pets were super well cared for, and George and Larissa were great communicators. We have had many many sitters over the past 3 years but this was the first family. Nothing to worry about, they were terrific and we would happily have them back again. Thanks for taking such good care of our fury family and our home!
Jo & David were absolutely amazing sitters for our house and dog Rosie while we were out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. They are the best! Jo was super communicative and responsive at all times. She and David bonded with our dog, who grew very attached to them. They left our house super clean (and there were even chocolate chip cookies for us on our return)! Most of all, they are just super nice people and very easy to work with. Anyone is lucky to have JoAnna & David housesit for them.
Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.
They took very good care of my pets which involved feeding cats twice daily, fish once or twice a day and filling up fountain for birds. Animals were healthy and happy when I returned. Nothing was lost or broken, and Diane even found a lost grinder part that had fallen into the cats food while I was using it. They are a pleasant couple. They were invited from Wednesday to Sunday. They arrived on Monday so had 3 days instead of one to learn the pets routine. They also informed me that they wouldn't be leaving until Monday morning, but that worked out well since I was mistaken about the end date of my cruise and couldn't get home until Monday. Everything was left neat, but I had minor housekeeping to do (clean sink, fingerprints off glass table, sweep floor). They are older than stated on the profile, which they said only allows 65 as a top age. 68 and 73. Bruce has health problems that requires he sleeps sitting up in a chair that has a leg lift, which luckily I had, so he slept in my living room. They are fine caring for cats, but my friend with a dog decided to find another sitter rather than leave him with them (she was going to pay) because they seem somewhat frail.
Joanna and David were absolutely perfect!!!! This was my first actual time using a sitter and they went above and beyond what I expected. I have a 1 year old Bully Breed that I adopted 6 weeks ago, so if you know dogs you know what they had to deal with :)) They sent pics daily and kept me updated. We were not able to meet before I left but they were nice enough to stay to meet me when I returned. My house was cleaner than when I left, all bedding and towels washed. Charley, my dog, was happy to see me for a minute when I got home but immediately went back to play with David, so I am thinking she had a blast while I was gone. I am totally sold with this process after having Joanna and David here. If you have the chance to book them for your trip, you will not be sorry. I am hoping to use them again when they return to Florida.
Stephanie, Brian and baby Martin took fabulous care of our home and pets for two weeks. From the outset, communication was quick, smooth and friendly and it was clear that both Stephanie and Brian are reliable, professional and warm sitters who take all the various elements of a sit seriously. They kept us up to date with photos and messages, dealt proactively and competently with any unexpected issues that popped up, and most importantly showered our dogs and gerbils with attention and care throughout the time we were away. We returned to a spotlessly clean home (with thoughtful touches of fresh milk, bacon and bread waiting for us) and happy, settled pets. In short, we would recommend Stephanie and Brian to anyone looking for reliable, attentive and proactive sitters for their pets and home. We would be delighted to welcome them back for another sit, should they ever find themselves in the area again.
Oh my Goodness! Where to begin. Linda was the perfect house sitter for us and the perfect pet sitter for Olivia! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we returned from out two week vacation all our plants were alive, the garden was alive, the birds and fish had been fed regularly, and the dog was alive and happy! What more can you ask for, right? Well with Linda you get all that and more. Updates as you request - even videos of her morning walks with Olivia. The house as spotless as we left it, maybe even better! Even the porches were clean! Linda is a genuine treasure and our recommendation would be 10 stars if there were that many!!

Mary has been grooming and or boarding my girls since my first dog. Mimi was my first, now she is taking care if my two girls Thank you so much 💗 💓. You make us feel special. Pickles and Mitzi. …
We’ve been here twice. The staff is just totally rude and unprofessional. I know some people here have said the opposite, but the first time we went we got lost because the GPS is not accurate for their location. I called them and the woman was very rude trying to tell me directions. I was confused and asked a clarifying question, to which she replied “no! You’re not listening to me!” And i was like, ??? I’m very confused where you are located, why can’t you be patient with me? When we dropped our puppy off everything was fine, then we picked him up and the same woman made another rude comment because the owner said our puppy (chocolate lab) wouldn’t grow that big. We just said we’ve heard the opposite especially since he has big paws! The woman said “well it’s not like she’s been working with dogs for 50 years or whatever”. I was just taken aback by such a cut tone. Today, we went to go again and the owner came out and very rudely said “guys, we have no power.” I said oh I’m sorry, we had no idea, we never received a cancellation call. And she had nothing to say to that. She suggested we try somewhere else but she kept saying how she had no power or hot water etc. i said again, I’m sorry we just had no idea. How were we supposed to know without a call? She had no reply to it. I gave two stars because the first time our puppy did come home clean! But the staff is just awfully rude and we will not be coming back.
When we are in Maine we always use Keoke for our dogs. Prices are reasonable and they consistently give first quality dog care.
Have been so happy with this boarding facility. The owner and workers are so sweet and so amazing with my wild child. The facility is clean, organized and the property is beautiful. On top of that my dog was medicated appropriately during her stay (which is a feat as she has lots of needs). Affordable as well, highly recommend for boarding.
Love them!! Always very accommodating. He looks so handsome when they are done grooming him. Thank you Mary!!
I couldn't take care of my dog anymore after my brain bleed and so she now lives with Mary, owner of Keoke Kennels. Jolly had to have her eyes removed because they were deformed and diseased. The bad review by one person upset me because I found heaven on Earth for Jolly. It takes someone special to be the furever home giver to a blind 5 year old dog!!! I spent a fortune on my dog's eyes and she was at the kennel a lot after my bleed and if it's good enough for my dog it's the best!!!
I took my little Yorkie, to Keoke Kennels and grooming, to be groomed. She absolutely RUINED my poor little baby’s hair. It was so chopped up, all over his body, from his head down to his feet. She did not even cut the hair off on the bottom of his feet, and actually cut him pretty bad, underneath his little belly with the clippers. I called her about these concerns, and she got mad over it. I am so upset over this, and I would be ashamed to take him out in public. I would not take a dead chicken to her, to cut it’s feathers. I absolutely would NOT recommend her to anyone, as far as grooming.
My wife and I have brought our dogs here for years. Great prices and Staff is always friendly. Mary loves our dog and has always said whenever we needed, she would make sure she had room for her. My dog is super shy and doesn’t do well with men due to past trauma from before her adoption and the staff is on top of it and are super gentle with her. I will keep continuing using this kennel and will recommend it to anyone!
When I dropped off my dog, I had given a bag with the exact number of meals for food, treats, some toys, and chew bones as he’s an aggressive chewer. When I picked him up a few days later, there was still a meal in the bag, had given him some treats but left the bag open so they went stale, they hadn’t given him any of his chew bones or toys, and had told me they fed him hot dogs. My dog doesn’t eat table food, and had diarrhea for more than a day. Not to mention, he smelled like pee when I picked him up. I tried to call the office to express my concerns, especially about not asking the dog owner if he can eat other food that in turn made him sick, and no one answered the phone all day. I do not recommend this kennel.
Mary and her girls do a wonderful job grooming dogs. Mary runs her shop with a friendly smile to everyone.
Lied to my face and unprofessional In preparation for an upcoming trip we were looking for a new place and tried a half day of day care last week. I was excited about a new place with good reviews and Lindsey was initially quick in communication response and accommodating. Drop off and the first part of pick up were uneventful as they checked me out and said the dog had had a good time and made friends with a good 'report card'. However, on the way to the car I noticed blood on the inside and outside of his ear. With an 8 yo dog we have had out fair share of cuts and scrapes but I did go inside again to ask if anything was witnessed as the ears are very sensitive. The attendant feigned complete ignorance at first and said she had no idea what could have happened. As I talked it over and explained that it must have been from another dog to be both inside and outside the ear (compared to a scratch) she suddenly said that she DID remember that another dog had been too aggressive and had to be sent home. I was upset that this was not noteworthy in the report and had been so difficult to remember and asked to speak to the manager. When Lindsey did come out, my first time meeting her, she was very dismissive of 'rough play' and scratched the scab off of my dog's ear in examining it. I responded that this was clearly not play if the other dog was sent home. She continued to minimize my concern of the incident and their communication. I asked for at least the tip on the total bill I had left to be refunded which is still not the case 4 days later. This was the worst experience I have had with somewhat I trusted with my dog. I am incredibly disappointed in their overall approach to communication and care of animals.
I have had pets for 30 years in NC, DC and now Maine. Best boarding facility in my experience. My babies will never stay anywhere else.
Snazzy Pet Bed and Biscuit is awesome for your Dog!if you have to go away , and need a place to watch your dog! This Bed and Biscuit place is a must go! Our Cool Coral Bay Golden loved it! They send you pictures and updates to make you feel comfortable! They truly take good care of your Pet
We had a terrible experience boarding our dogs here!!! I have reason to believe the staff seriously neglected our dogs. STRONGLY recommend fellow pet owners to beware!!!!!!! When my husband Corey picked the boys up from boarding for five days, he noticed that Baxter was frantically trying to gnaw and scoot on his backside in the car. Corey inspected the area when he got home. Baxter's backside was covered with a baseball-sized open sore, crusted over with dried blood and puss. Bax was scooting and biting at his rear multiple times when he went out to go to the bathroom as well as incessantly trying to scratch at it inside the house. Corey took him straight to the emergency vet. It took 7 hours to sedate Baxter, clean the wound, and give him antibiotics. The final bill was almost $600. Baxter has never had issues with dermatitis or developed anything like this in the past and he was absolutely miserable, it was clear as day. Not one person on the Snazzy Pet staff noticed or reported this behavior. There is NO WAY someone actually watching him could have missed a dog suffering like this. NO WAY. This was straight up neglect. Given this terrible experience and the cost of the vet visit, I sent Snazzy Pet photos taken within an hour of Baxter's pickup, explained the situation, and requested a refund. They said a flat no and refused to admit they did anything wrong. They said their policy is basically if you don't notice anything wrong with your pet at pickup, as soon as you leave the building they are no longer liable for anything that happened. (INSPECT YOUR PETS when you pick them up!!!!! Once you walk out the door with them you have NO recourse if you find something went wrong!!!) I wrote back to the owners and told them this felt incredibly unfair - at very least they owed us an apology and some kind of gesture - even a partial refund would have sufficed. I told them if they didn't offer any kind of refund I would feel obligated to leave them a scathing review. They wrote back and accused me of threatening them. They also said that if I sent them the vet bill they would "review it with their lawyer and see if there was anything they could do." I wrote back and said our pet insurance would cover most of the vet bill (it didn't feel honest taking money for this reason) and that wasn't the point. They point is they can't treat people and animals this way. I also told them involving lawyers felt like a ridiculous escalation of the situation, and that the money they will lose paying a lawyer to review this case or the money they would lose from a horrible review would far outpace anything they would spend just giving us even a partial refund. I calmly offered to work together to try to find a solution to this that would feel fair to both of us. They never responded. Even if Baxter's injury hadn't occurred, we STILL wouldn't bring the boys back to Snazzy Pet for another reason. I noticed something strange the first day the staff sent the daily updates - the summary said our dogs were "having fun sniffing the dogs who were playing on the other side of the fence." None of the photos they sent of our dogs included any other dogs. When I asked the staff about it, they said they separated the boarding dogs from the daycare dogs and don't let them play together for health reasons. I told them this seemed really said - our boys are highly social dogs and the whole reason we wanted to board them there at a premium rate was so they could get social time. I asked if our boys could please play with other dogs. The staff said they would see what they could do. Based on subsequent updates and photos, I'm pretty sure our dogs only got to play briefly with ONE other dog the ENTIRE week. Long story short, we paid Snazzy Pet $100 a night for our dogs to be neglected, lonely, and in pain for a week. Just absolutely horrible. I am so frustrated and sad about this. Fellow owners BEWARE about boarding here. We will never, ever go back.
I was so worried about leaving my dog for his first stay at a kennel but he was in great hands, made lots of furry friends and had tons of treats and love. I highly recommend Snazzy Pet!
I had called regarding boarding my cat, when talking to the person I had stated all the normal information you would need. We went over the dates/times, about my cat, the boarding options, what they provide, what I need to provide, etc. The stay was going to be $28/night totalling $280 for her stay there and she would be staying with 2 other cats. The lady told me that I would need to do the reservation online and make an account to finalize everything. After the call I immediately went and made the account and made the request. This included putting my card information on their site and allowing them to take a 30% deposit out of my account. Within a half hour I get an email that my reservation was declined due to no room. Weird, I just got off the phone and they told me it was a go and to just finalize online. The message stated to call/text/email to check other dates and times. The next morning (8am) I call and text, and figured I'd hear from them sometime during the day. To my surprise this is 4 days later with no responses from anyone. I find this funny because you really drove home on the phone that you communicate with your clients and send daily updates, photos, etc. while you have their furry family member in your care. Yet, you're unable to communicate with a potential client, this makes me think that your communication with me during my cats stay would have been a lie. While I understand that you have the right to deny service, it would have been nice to return my call/text so I knew if it was a date, time, or just didn't want my business issue. All of the above I would have understood. I am unable to recommend your facility due to the lack of communication and poor customer service. 4/11/23 Update- Never heard back.
I highly recommend Snazzy Pet! We don't usually like to leave our 12 year old Lab with anyone but friends and family but due to the awful Virus we had to find a quality kennel. We needed a place that would take good care of our old girl and Monique did just that! As you drive up you can tell they care about their appearance because everything is so well kept. They love the dogs and are there to provide a loving and welcoming environment for your pet while they are there. We are hoping to get back up to Maine in the next few months and we will definitely be sending our sweet girl to Snazzy.
New owners at Snazzy Pet, but they seem to have the same caring attitude towards our furry friends. Pickup and drop-off went smoothly and they were very accommodating when our flight was delayed and we need to change our pickup time. When I pulled up the guests were quiet, only launching into a series of barking greetings when they went back to get our pup. We will have our pup stay with them again in the future.
We used Snazzy Pet to board our three pups while on our honeymoon. They were excellent! We got nightly “Pawgress Reports” that included how they were doing and pictures! They got to play outside everyday and were loved and snuggled by the staff as we would at home. Every staff member was so kind and seemed to truly care for our babies as we do. Would recommend to all!
We just got a puppy after having a very reactive rescue. Getting a puppy into daycare was a priority for us in order to work on socialization and also give him an outlet for all his puppy energy. We looked at several facilities but our top pick was snazzy. They had a waitlist for the daycare program so we got on the waitlist and waited it out. It was extremely worth it. The first day our pup was very nervous and his pawgress report photos really showed a timid pup but by his second visit he was excited to go inside and all his photos showed a happy pup. He comes home exhausted and knows where we are as soon as we pull in every morning. We’ve boarded him once and they made it a point to let us know that he didn’t have any accidents in his kennel. They’ve also made comments about his resource guarding and work to alleviate that. Making these observations make it abundantly clear that the staff has an understanding of dog behaviors and training necessities. If you’re looking to do daycare for your pup, I highly recommend taking them to snazzy.
Suntar's Kennels also does grooming. We use them to trim one of the dog's claws as he doesn't need grooming and they do a great job of taking care of this very strong dog that hates having his claws trimmed. Our Cockier Spaniel seems to view his grooming appointments as a spa day. He is always happy to go and I must say looks quite debonair after his grooming appointments. We've not had occasion to use their boarding but I looked and it appears very clean and that the animals are well cared for. There is a play area for them to get exercise. I wouldn't hesitate to board our dogs here. And the grooming service is excellent. Highly recommended.
The staff at Suntar's Kennels were wonderful with our two dogs this past week! It was our dogs' first time boarding away from home, and the staff took great care of them, slowly eased them into playtime with the other dogs, and were very considerate and caring with them. Many thanks, again!
I Called Suntar's Kennels on a whim when I showed up to my cabin that was "pet friendly" all to find out my dog could not be left in the cabin unattended (even if caged) for any period of time. Afraid my children's vacation was ruined I called these guys and they told me to bring him over. He is a only a year, high energy, anxious dog and had never boarded before so I was so afraid. They answered when we called and helped us feel confident he was being well taken care of and not locked away somewhere. By time we came to get him he was trying to stay! Would recommend any day. My family thanks you for taking care of our furry child so everyone, including Gunner, could enjoy their Vacation!
We have been taking our dog to boarding and daycare at Suntars for almost a year and I can’t say enough good things. These folks are so kind and helpful and our dog LOVES her days there. I recommend this daycare to anyone who asks!
They are such a wonderful group of people. Elaina always does such a great job grooming my dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of grooming, daycare, and boarding.
They treat my little buddy like one of their own. Incredibly sweet, and caring staff, who take excellent care of my pup. My doggo goes there for daycare and now grooming as well! Cannot recommend them enough ❤️
This place is wonderful! We drove from California to Maine to attend an event where our kitty cat wasn’t allowed, and so she spent five days here. Found Suntar’s online, and chose it thanks to good reviews. Setting up the reservation with Gryta was easy and I could tell she really cares about the well being of the cats and dogs who have the good fortune to play and stay here. We dropped off Merlie Bird early on a Monday. It was her first time away from us since she had come into our lives six months prior, so the good-bye was a little teary. The friendly and efficient staff did a great job of getting the details of feeding and playtime, and we checked in daily to see how things were going - reports were pretty good considering it was a first-time stay for Merlie at a pet boarding home - good appetite but more reserved than usual during the times she spent in the common space. There are a lot of options for kitties to play, climb and snuggle, and she did a lot of snuggling in a cozy covered kitty bed. Several of the kennels have nice window views, and when one of those came available the staff was happy to move her to one so she could look outside more easily. We camp a lot so Merlie was happy to get back to our tent, but we could tell she was very well cared for in her time at Suntar’s. And, we will definitely have her stay here again if the opportunity comes up.
Very accommodating to my pet and I during a pinch. Also very fairly priced. Looking forward to continue using their boarding services.
These folks love my baby!! He was so nervous his 1st time but they were so good to him! Now when he goes he is all excited! It is great to be able to go somewhere and not worry if he is ok. Love seeing his pics on their FB & INSTA pages!! Suntar we love you guys!!!
We have brought our dog Franklin to Suntars for 3 years now and absolutely love them! We are always so happy with their grooming services. Our groomer, Elena is the absolute best and truly cares about Franklin. This is a clean, safe space for your animal and you will be happy with their pricing too!
I would highly recommend The Red Barn Inn! My pup attends daycare weekly and is always so tired from all the playing at the end of the day. The staff is so kind and truly cares for each dog - they even share photos of the pups playing on their social media so you get a glimpse into the fun.
We have been happy customers of the Red Barn Inn for close to 15 years, both for boarding and for daycare. Our dogs are cared for in a safe, loving environment, and they always have lots of fun! The staff are warm and friendly, and they are always very responsible when one of our dogs needs special attention (medication or a specific diet) due to a medical issue. We wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else!
I was introduced to Red Barn Inn in 2018. My grandpup Finn was going there and he absolutely loved it. When I got a new pup in 2020, I knew just the place for her to go. The owners and staff love on her as if she were their own. She loves it there and I love knowing she’s safe, cared for, loved, and having a blast playing with all her friends. Price is reasonable & affordable. Place is clean, organized, and everyone is pleasant. I recommend RBI to everyone.
Ace loves it here. He gets all the attention I can't give him when I am away for work or play, it's great for his socialization with other dogs, and he clearly loves it. Whenever I go to pick him up, you can tell he's having such a great time, because he never wants to leave. I don't know what I would do without the wonderful staff at the Red Barn Inn.
Audra and her team at Red Barn Inn are awesome! We were visiting the area for the week and needed a spot for our lab puppy to get some socialization and exercise. Audra fit us in for doggy daycare without issue and Maui LOVED his time hanging with the gang! He came home wiped out and happy every day. We were even able to get him groomed on his last day and they did an excellent job. Highly recommend- and a big thank you the everyone at Red Barn for taking such great care of Maui!
We absolutely love The Red Barn Inn! Our two Vizslas had a great time at daycare, Audra and her staff go above and beyond, we love seeing the pictures on Facebook of all the happy puppies!
We have been bringing our dog Ginger to the Red Barn Inn for seven years, since she was a puppy. She goes part time for daycare and boards when we need to go away without her. She is always excited to get there, which is a good indication to us that she is loved and given good care while there. It gives us peace of mind knowing she is safe while away from us. Current ownership & staff have made things even better than in the past … we highly recommend this kennel.
Indy has been at Red Barn his entire life, over six years. He loves it. Since Audra purchased the property last year, she has made many changes that enhance not only safety issues, but the dogs enjoyment. She is on site all the time monitoring all aspects of the day care. She and the crew make sure everyone is happy and safe. This allows me to go to work knowing he is well cared for. Red Barn Inn is a fantastic addition to the community.
The Red Barn Inn is under new ownership and it is fantastic! Our dog loves going here for daycare and boarding. He doesn't look back when we drop him off and doesn't want to leave when we come to get him. He has had a few overnights there and always comes home tired and happy. The staff love him and always have a wonderful greeting and a treat waiting for him. We love the ease of the online booking and seeing his cute face on facebook every day. We trust them to take care of him.
I have been Red Barn Inn for 2-3 days a week for over 2 yers. The staff is friendly and dedicated to taking great care of my dog , Remy. When I arrive in the morning to drop him off, he is excited and eagerly enters the facility. I feel fortunate to have them in our community.
New Client. Long time Golden Owners. Love how clean the Portland facility was. Designed smartly for Pets to be coming and going without causing problems at the entrance. They put two entrances. Smart. Waiting areas , same thing. The team members where cleaning stalls and maintaining the property with pleasure. And the monitors on all the rooms in the reception area. Liked it. The App is rather friendly to use. Great. Cant find any reason why not to call this my 2 Dogs (Brady & Brandy) "Home away from Home"
Amazing place and an amazing staff. I was running late to pick up my dog. They were supposed to be closing at 6:30 but they stayed past then so I could pick up my dog.
The staff at Camp Bow Wow take such great care of Lava, and are always so excited to see her! Lava loves to play at Camp Bow Wow during the day or for sleepaway camp!
We highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Portland. Our Irish Setter girl loves to go there to board and for day care. The staff is friendly and caring.
We love the friendly staff and clean facility. They love dogs and it shows, our dog can’t wait to go to daycare. We’ve used the boarding facilities as well and could not ask for better service, highly recommend!
Our pup love Camp Bow Wow and so do we. Hami is always so excited to go in and play with his dog friends but really loves his staff friends the most. He goes weekly and we board him as well every now and then because he likes it so much and it can be more convenient than getting him to a relative and the peace of mind knowing he’s safe and not getting into anything is great. I’d highly recommend this facility over other nearby options, Hami used to go to the one very close by and are so happy we swapped to Bow Wow.
My pup Alex loves going to camp bow wow!! I like the add on services available and that i can check in on him with the dog cams. Staff is great amf do not hesitate to call if they feel your pup is not feeling well - piece of mind for me that he is having fun and well cared for while there
Everyone there is so lovely. Our Sadie is a bit of a handful but everyone is so nice about dealing with her. We really appreciate how patient they are with her craziness.
I brought my 6 month old english setter in for her first interview and I was thrilled to be able to check in on her throughout the day with their doggie cams. She seemed so happy and the staff were all super friendly. I can't wait to bring my little girl back to play again!
My puppy Papillon, Holly, absolutely loves attending camp during the work week. Every morning, we get up and sing our own "Camp Bow-Wow" song and her tail wags so uncontrollably that she wiggles all over with excitement! When dropping her off, she loves to greet the staff with morning barks and scratches at the door to get through to her friends! Everybody who works at CBW, Portland, know my dog's name and treat her with so much warmth and love! The staff are always smiling and keep me up-dated on Holly's doings when I pick her up. The facility is always clean, run very well and even provided Holly with a jacket when she got too cold. Camp Bow Wow is an awesome experience for any dog! Katie and Holly Clark
This is by far the most fun and fulfilling job I’ve ever worked at. My stranger reactive/dog selective pup, Sundae, also loves it here! It’s amazing to see how far she’s come with the staff, even rolling over for belly rubs from them and jumping on them to get kisses. I love getting the daily report cards and seeing my selective girl get the chance to make friends and play her little heart out. They also make sure to let my more lazy pup, Moose, get as many naps as he needs and sneak him some cookies when I’m not looking. My dogs love it here and so do I! Thank you Roscoes <3
There are not enough characters available to tell you all the reasons I/we love this place. Bottom line is my big baby Rip wags his tail when we pull in the lot and can't wait to get through the door to play. He is happy and exhausted when I pick him up. I trust this staff at Roscoe's 100% with my boy and this means everything!! They've helped me learn more about some of his puppy/adolescent behaviors and helped with redirecting tips. They even surprised me with a bday photo! Every month they offer a different photo shoot for a nominal fee. My lil turkey!! They're amazing. We are thankful for Roscoe's!
My pup has been going to Roscoe's for almost 2 years and we are big fans! The staff are all so friendly and take great care of my pup while he is there. I am also so pleased with the level of communication! They call or communicate at pick up anything we need to know, and the daily report cards are great - I always look forward to their photos! It's nice to be able to watch my dog on the live webcams. My dog always has a great time here, and I feel good leaving him in the care of such wonderful people. Highly recommend!
Roscoe's was recommended to me by my dog's vet when he was a small puppy. That was about three years ago, and he's been going regularly ever since. I could not be happier with the care he gets there, and the people are nothing but terrific. They're friendly and helpful in times of need (such as last-minute overnights for family emergencies), and they clearly love the dogs they get to spend their days with (mine in particular, of course). It's exactly what we needed for our Springer Spaniel as well as the rest of our family.
Pops loves it there, though he does seem prefer the company of the playgroup supervisor over the dogs. We love the webcams! I'm constantly checking in on him at work and everybody here loves watching the dogs. And the optional photo shoot packages are great!
My dog has been there for 10 stays and gotten kennel cough 3 times. The most recent time picking him up it had already progressed badly enough that he needed to be taken to the emergency vet. They ignore warning signs and do not isolate dogs that are exhibiting symptoms regardless of how severe. It is a nice space, and the webcam to watch your dogs is great, but not worth the risk.
My dog stays at roscoes whenever I go on a trip. It's nice to be able to see him on cameras and check in on him while I'm gone. I also love seeing the report cards and the pictures they send!
My dog loves the VIP program. The more individualized program with less dogs, which means less chaos for him. He gets his energy out playing with a few dogs. He’s happy and safe.
Roscoe's is truly the best. I always know my dog, Jerry, is having fun and being well cared for and I love the report cards we get at the end of each day with photos of Jerry and his friends! I also love their availability for daycare and overnights that make spur of the moment plans a breeze!
Love how they care for your pet as their own! Also love the videos and pictures they send. I like that you can check in with the cameras to catch your dog having fun!
Working with Maine Dog Walkers was the best decision for our family 🐾. I always know our little guy is well cared for. You can tell Paul really loves his job and cares about our pup as much as we do. Paul sends daily updates and is reliable, prompt and professional. Would recommend Maine Dog Walkers to anyone looking for quality care and peace of mind!
Reliable and expert dog walker! We've been working with Maine Dog walkers for nearly 2 years since the arrival of our then-puppy, now 2 year-old mix. Always on-time rain or shine. Our dog LOVES seeing Paul. I always have peace of mind knowing I have a reliable, safe and caring dog walker and pet sitter in Paul. Excellent communicator and goes out of his way to be of service whenever possible. Best in the business!
I can’t say enough great things about Paul. He is so amazing with my dog. He was patient getting to know my dog and now my dog gets so excited for his walks. He is dependable and communicative about every walk. I know I can rely on him for the best care while I am at work. I am so thankful for Paul and how thoughtful he is with my pup.
Paul is incredible. He is always reliable and dependable. My pup loved every visit. Paul is timely in his communication and was always willing to add an extra walk if he was able to fit it in. I highly recommend Paul for your pup!
Paul is amazing, we think he is an animal whisperer. He is thoughtful, reliable and prompt. He knows how important routine is for fur babies and has always gone the extra mile. Paul's calm demeanor really worked on our two cats. He reassured us and them while we have been away. Thanks so much Paul.
Paul is the best! We’ve booked him a few times each year for the last 3 years and he’s always been great. He’s cared for our two cats and when one past right before a trip he helped use deal with the other cat’s depression while we were away. He has truly gone above and beyond. The app he uses for visit tracking and booking is also great. It notifies me when he’s there, he includes notes and photos, and I’m notified when we’re going to be billed. I really can’t say enough good things about Paul and the great care he has provided for our animals!
I've worked with cats and dogs for over a decade, owned a successful dog walking business in Boston's Seaport neighborhood (catering to professional athletes, presidents of Fortune 500 companies, city leaders etc), and am across the board an anxious wreck when it comes to the safety of my beautiful kitten, Pandora. I used Maine Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters the first week I moved up to Maine, and everything about the service was immaculate. The straight forward use of their website to schedule and communicate, the most excellent photos of Pandora each day, and the real attempt to bond with my very skittish kitty were all super appreciated. I am a paranoid cat owner who has been in the pet care industry for over a decade, and I use Paul's services for complete and total peace of mind when I'm away, and you should too! 😸
Paul is at all times professional, reliable and attentive to the wellbeing of my pets.
Happy Tails is a warm and friendly place and Rory just absolutely loves going there! They have helped him with his anxiety and often match him with specific dogs that he plays really well with!
We used Happy Tails for when we went cross country to California. May 30-June 12 it was under $800 and that included doggy daycare. Our dog was happy and healthy when we got back with no problems at all.
So thankful for happy tails! The staff is wonderful and have always been very accommodating to both of my dogs. One of my dogs requires a lot more patience and they have gone above and beyond for him. Plus, they always leave tired and happy! The “report cards” are super cute and fun too.
I have a VERY sensitive dog and this is the only daycare out of the 5 or 6 I have been to that he gets excited to go to in the morning. He is very happy to see each and every member of the staff. Begrudgingly, even the nice lady who does his nails. The owner has a strong presence at the business and he is very passionate about the care of your animals. Keep up the good work guys!
Happy Tails is the best doggy day care we’ve sent our dog to in all of New England!! The staff is friendly and know what they’re doing. Our dog always comes home happy!
I have a 2 year old Siberian husky who attended daycare multiple times. She has been accustomed to daycare since she was 4 months old and had no problems whatsoever. After my dog had spent multiple days a week at Happy Tails, I was told that i needed to have a discussion about my dog’s anxiety during break time. I was not aware that this day care had break time, where they put the dogs in separate kennels that resemble animal shelter cells. I do not kennel my dog, she’s a Siberian husky/malamute mix who is very active. She has attended multiple daycares who do not practice “break time.” She can self regulate, and frankly I am not willing to pay $50 per day for her to be forced to have a break time where she is separated from the other dogs and is locked into a kennel. I am glad that I never brought my older husky to this daycare whom I adopted from the shelter, as I feel these “break” times would have brought back too many traumatic memories. Do not recommend this daycare mainly because they do not know how to handle active dogs and want to discuss “your dog’s anxiety” after they lock them in an individual cell away from all of the other dogs.
I cannot recommend Happy Tails enough. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. They go above and beyond for our two dogs. They conduct pawsonality interviews for new dogs to make sure it’s a good fit for all (I so appreciate that daycare and boarding facilities do this!) and our dog Cleo struggled during hers - she suffers from some anxiety and HT worked through a variety of options - housing her in the larger kennel, housing her with her brother Boots and also trying a crate. I spoke on the phone with the manager multiple times during her first few visits and worked out a plan for her that would ultimately make her the happiest and most successful when staying at HT. The amount of thoughtfulness, professionalism and care that they provide for our dogs is unmatched. Cleo has tried other daycares where she says “nope, not going in.” When we arrive at HT her entire body wiggles from excitement and she cannot wait to go. They know the personalities of our two dogs better than anyone and they have them in the appropriate groups of other dogs they get along with and let them go out to the bathroom together before bed when they board there so they can say goodnight to one another. If only every daycare and boarding facility could be like Happy Tails.
Having just moved to the Portland area, I decided to try Happy Tails out for my two dogs. The moment the owner referred to my Sharpei as a “power breed,” I knew my dogs wouldn’t be treated with the love and kindness they more than deserve. After their two visits, I was told they did well. However, when I tried to schedule them for boarding, the the owner informed me that I would have to bring them at least five times before boarding bc they showed signs of anxiety. Even then, he said they might not be able to board. Thankfully, this is the only place we have ever received this kind of treatment. We now go to a daycare and boarding facility that welcomes my pups with open arms and they have a blast swimming and playing with other dogs.
I've been taking our pup here since she was old enough to go. She LOVES it. We had to stop while she wasn't spayed and life was brutal. I work long shifts, and not many places can accommodate 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The staff loves their clients for sure. She's always excited to go, and sleeps like a rock. I drive out of my way to come here. Also have a great walking service with an app to go with to keep you informed! We love Happy Tails
Been to other places and this is by far the absolute best dog day care and boarding around! They are responsible, attentive, kind and dedicated. They get to know each dog and ensure s/he has an excellent experience. My two dogs flip out when we say, "Wanna go to ... Happy Tails?" It's our favorite :)
