If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Brooke and Kirk took excellent care of our elderly cat, and they left our house in pristine condition. Brooke sent daily texts, and it was clear that our cat felt at ease with them. We welcome Brooke and Kirk back anytime!

Conscientious cat sitter eager to care for your home
Elizabeth is such an amenable and reliable housesotter - it’s a breeze to work with her. She is very organized, clear about arrivals and departures, attentive to our cats and very good about sending photos and updates every few days. She works from home so she spent more time with them than we sometimes do, and both parties seemed to relish each other’s company! Elizabeth is also smart, thoughtful and resourceful.

From the moment we met, it was evident that Jenny has a genuine passion for animals. Her warm and welcoming demeanor put both me and Millie at ease, creating an instant connection that reassured me I had made the right choice. I highly recommend Jenny to anyone seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and caring individual to look after their home and furry family members. Your pet will not only be in capable hands but will also experience a level of love and attention that goes beyond expectations. Jenny went above and beyond to ensure my dog felt comfortable and loved. Regular updates, including photos, videos and messages, kept me informed about their activities and adventures. It was heartwarming to see my dog enjoying walks, playtime, and even some special treats—all tailored to meet Millie's needs. In addition to Jenny's exceptional pet-sitting skills, she demonstrated a respectful and responsible approach to house care. Coming home to a tidy house made my return even more pleasant.

Life is available only in the present moment
Mirielle was great with our cats, one of whom has special needs and the other one is a scaredy-cat. By the end of her short visit, the scared one got within a foot of her, which is remarkable. The most complicated part of taking care of our cats was keeping their food separate, which she did. When I got home, the cats were glad to see me, the house was all in order, and all was well. What more could I have asked?

Retired Couple Ready to Babysit Your Pet and Your Home
Gail and Michael were excellent pet sitters and very lovely people. We felt extremely comfortable leaving our cat and our home in their care. Gail did a great job of keeping us up to date on what we needed to know. We hope to have them return for another stay.

Writer/teacher/artist and animal lover
Kristina did an excellent job as our house sitter. We have quite a few house plants in our home and in a small green house. Kristina took great care of them. She communicated with us and sent photos whenever she was concerned about a plant. Her concerns were unwarranted as she took excellent care of them. She also communicated well with us regarding some issues with the house. Upon returning from a six-week trip we found our house sparkling clean and well taken care of. We would be happy to have Kristina sit for us again and recommend her without hesitation

Frequent Petsitter Who Loves Travel Seeking Accommodation and Pets to Watch
Elizabeth was an excellent sitter. She is clearly an animal lover and was in tune with our cats, especially bonding with Daisy who loves company and cuddles and attention, but also winning over slightly more picky Saffy. Liz kept us informed throughout the sit with photos and news and we came home to two contented and calm cats. The house was neat and tidy, the sheets and towels in the wash, and everything clean. We are glad she liked our area and Bushy Park and made use of our bicycle to explore. We have no hesitation in recommenting Liz and hope to see her again in the future.

Picture Book Writer/ Illustrator/ Animal Lover/Traveler/Enthusiast!
Nicole was absolutely super. She looked after my 11 year old anxious maltipoo and by the time I got home he was eating out the palm of her hand! Probably after 10 mins of me leaving! Also my daughter’s 11 year old Labrador who thinks he’s still a puppy but age is creeping up and he’s not so fit anymore and Nicole totally understood that. My house was kept in great order when I returned. I would definitely recommend Nicole to look after your home and pets.

We’re energetic and thoughtful travelers who love to dote on furry friends! :)
Chase and Blair really are fantastic sitters. This was the 2nd time they sat for us. Everything went perfectly, we came home to a clean flat and a happy cat. We’d love to have them back again!
My dog had a medical emergency while in John’s care and I credit him with saving my pup’s life. You couldn’t ask for a better sitter in a pressure situation. He also communicated regularly during the stay, keeping me posted on how my pup was doing. Would recommend John to anyone who needs a sitter they can trust.
Michele is a great pet sitter for my dog Charley! She keeps me informed and sends pictures. I came home to an immaculate home! I hope she will come back again.
We could not have asked for a better house sitter than Myria! She is kind, personable, organized, responsible communicative and more...She read all of our instructions before arriving and asked lots of questions about our pups to make sure she understood their personalities and schedules. You can tell she truly is a dog lover. Myria provided regular updates and we felt 100% confident leaving our dogs in her care. We came back to a home that was spotless - you could hardly tell she had been here. I'd highly recommend Myria as your next zeewoi!
Diane and Les were excellent pet and house sitters. Jet was a very happy dog when we returned and Diane had shared many photos of their days together while we were away on holiday. The house was very clean and tidy when we returned and some milk , bread and sweet treats had been left for us, which were very welcome after our 2 long flights home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Diane and Les as sitters for your home and pets, everything was done to a high standard and Jet was happy in his usual environment , which is all we wished for. Many thanks to you both.
Robyn was a great pet sitter and house sitter. She went way over and beyond my expectations!!!! She sent a photo of her and my dogs and they were looking at her like they were in love. And my cats are not very friendly, but she won them over also. I would highly recommend Robyn as a pet sitter and house sitter. She is a very sweet lady. I would love to have her watch my babies again and again.
Emily and Chris were absolutely incredible house and pet sitters. They took care of our dog and two cats for 10 days and were some of the best sitters we've ever had. They took amazing care of all three animals -- giving medicine to our aging dog and managing to befriend our very shy cats on day one. We received adorable picture and video updates each day and it was clear that the pets loved spending time with them. Additionally they left the house in pristine shape and were incredibly diligent in all aspects -- bringing in packages, taking out the trash and recycling, etc. I can't recommend them highly enough!
Lisa and Matt were absolutely fantastic sitters for us and our dog, Moose. Not only were they flexible when our flight was changed last minute, they also were able to stay an extra day to accommodate the changes. They communicated with us promptly during the scheduling and planning process for the housesit. They arrived on time on the (re)scheduled day. They acclimated to our dog very quickly and gave us piece of mind as we left by taking him on a walk to avoid his separation anxiety. We chatted every day and exchanged photos of Moose playing at the beach and in the yard. He was so happy! No problems were encountered with the house. Even our neighbors commented on how friendly and kind Lisa and Matt both were and how they really cared for Moose. The house was spotless when we returned. Everything in proper order, better than we left it. We can't thank them enough for the excellent experience!
Christina is the best house and pet sitter that we have ever had. She leaves the house immaculate. She is independent, reliable, and totally professional. Communication is excellent. In terms of pet care, Christina is special. I think that she is a dog whisperer. Bridie, our crazy Wheaten, adores her and is sad when she leaves.
I was fortunate to have Lisa as a sitter for my active, 7-year old lab mix (Ozzy) for a week in Bend. Lisa took the time to meet us via Facetime and in person before her stay. It was apparent she wanted to be well-prepared and aware of any special doggie needs he may have, or any help I needed with watering plants or bringing in mail. She took great care of Ozzy while I was away and sent me regular updates and photos of their outdoor adventures. I returned home to a very happy dog and a house exactly as I had left it. I'd welcome Lisa back anytime!
Lisa was a terrific sitter for our sweet Rosie. She arrived the evening before the sit, and we immediately could tell how much love and attention Rosie was to get. She provided updates and pictures which we were delighted to read, and we could tell Rosie was happy and well-cared for with Lisa on their walks and fetching sessions, on their car rides, and during Rosie’s many daily naps. Lisa left the house in great condition, she’s very tidy and clean. Lisa’s experience with dogs and her friendly, sweet personality makes her an excellent sitter taking good care of animals while also being easy to communicate with. I would recommend her and would gladly invite her back.

Pennie’s Homestead is an absolute gem! They took great care of our dog Luke Skybarker while we went on our honeymoon for 10 days. He was pampered the entire time and communication daily was greatly appreciated. You can tell that Pennie cares about animals and that she went above and beyond to take care of my family member while I was gone. We will definitely contact her in the future if we need Luke to be taken care of. As mentioned in another review for Pennie, your dog will be at a resort while in Pennies care.
We could not be happier with the care that our cat and African grey parrot received. We were rather last minute looking for pet care and Pennie made everything work out for us. We would highly recommend Pennie and her staff for home pet care. We will definitely use their services again.
Pennie and Michele were great! Michele took excellent care of my senior Chihuahua as well as my home while I was away. I came home to a perfectly clean home and a happy doggie. I knew she was in good hands, with frequent communications and pictures sent my way. I will be sure to use them again for my next trip! Thanks for everything.
Pennie's Homestead is THE most WONDERFUL pet sitter service EVER!!! The care, attention to detail, follow up, professionalism, and the love she has for her job and her furry clients are just a few shining examples of her superior work ethic. Our rescue, Dolly, was definitely not a candidate for kennel boarding due to her separation anxiety and we were so hesitant to schedule a vacation away. And then we had the good fortune to meet Pennie!! She instantly bonded with Dolly and we knew we could enjoy our trip knowing Dolly would be given the best of care and would be safe at home. There is a thorough interview before she takes the job and everything is covered to ensure the best quality care will be given to your pet(s) and I ASSURE YOU you it is given. We were sent daily updates and happy photos by text which was such a comfort and so appreciated. Not only was Dolly given the best of care, but also the house was in pristine condition when we got home. All I can say is WOW, we are so totally impressed! I need never look for any other pet sitter ever again as we have truly found the VERY BEST!!!! ***** Five Stars Plus … :)
Penny went above and beyond for our two dogs i would recommend her to anyone . We got updates and pictures everyday definitely will use her again !!
Pennie is a very professional and trustworthy petsitter. We were away for a week and received daily photos and updates on the dogs, and my house was well cared for upon return. She loves her job and it shows!
If you think you're leaving your dog behind with a "pet sitter" while you have a fantastic vacation - you are most mistaken! Your vacation may be OK or good, but it's not going to compare to the vacation your four-legged family member will have! Pennie is like an animal whisperer. Her own dogs and cats are incredible hosts. And, you can stay in a 5-star resort on your vacation - but your pet is going to have it even better! Gorgeous farm with acres if not miles to run and play with his/her new hosts, pond for swimming, swimming pool for chilling, steak for dinner (yes, I'm not kidding!) and more love than you could ever hope. We're spoiled. We don't live anywhere close to Stonington/Mystic CT and we're already trying to find a way to get Beau back to Pennie's Homestead the next time we have to take a trip. Just know, you'll be jealous of your dog when your trip is over.
Pennie is a fantastic dog sitter! She (and her adorable sidekick Granger) connected with our dog instantly and he had the best time with her. We got regular photos and updates of how happy our dog was, and he loved being outside and playing with other friendly dogs every day! We can’t wait to have him stay with Pennie again!
Pennie was recommended by our vet. Our 20 year old cat is hard to leave because she is fussy! If she does not eat or drink water, her health can tank quickly as she is only 6 lbs. We used Pennie on 2 occasions now,and we could not be more delighted!!! Attentive, reliable and compassionate. She cared for our kitty and sent pictures of her eating and drinking. Our cat LOVES her. She is highly recommended!
Pennie (and her dog Grainger) are the best. We planned a last minute trip and Pennie changed her schedule to accommodate us. Our dog Buoy had a blast and came home exhausted from racing around with Grainger! Best of all, I slept well knowing Buoy was in safe hands. They’re the best.
It was super clean and they were super sweet! They took care of my reactive dog when I went on vacation. One of the workers Sage specifically worked with him and she really took the time to make him and us feel comfortable by sending us photos of him and updating us anytime she could! Definitely recommend!!!
First, I do not write many reviews but feel compelled to share our story with others. We Picked our pup yesterday from a one week stay. He looked sad, depressed, underweight and was covered in hives. When I called for an update mid week the only response I got was that he was “good” with zero details. We did get a call that he was held out of doggy daycare Because of a red spot on his backside. This did not nearly describe his condition. He had two enormous red areas where he had been licking constantly as well as hives everywhere. He also has a limp that he he did not have before and we are watching closely. Thankfully we were able to get him into the vet immediately after picking him up. (650 dollars later) We paid for cuddles/ story time but he has red marks on his lips (he is all black) from pressing up against the metal fence (Per the vet). We paid for extended doggy daycare and we really have no idea any of what we paid for even happened. Definitely would not go back and can say whole heartedly would not recommend.
They gave my dogs HOT DOGS! My poor pups were so sick and spent $700 in fees and meds from the vet. I didn't send them the bill but I'll never go back there. My dogs were pooping blood for 3 days. Never again.
Every time my dog comes back he looks amazing and the grooming is exceptional. Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job. We even had a chance to use our dog friendly hair coloring, and we gave him a tad bit of purple. He loves it.
Norwichtown Pet Resort is a great place to work and bring an animal for boarding or daycare. The boarding activities are really broad and awesome for all animals of all energy levels. There are daycare options for large and small dogs and there are options for dogs that don’t get along with other dogs as well.
UPDATE: We went back today and WOW. Malibu came home thoroughly exhausted (see our run down girl shown below).... Everyone was super great and friendly...as they usually are... (except that one girl that one time around the holidays that told me there was no daycare that day after me driving down there with my dog who still gets car sick. I had checked the website before I left and it didn't say it was closed that day so when I went and she said there was no daycare that day, I was quiet for a moment... surprised... and she said "well we posted it EVERYWHERE" ... Except their website apparently... (Sorry, I'm still salty about her unnecessary attitude when I wasn't even complaining about it... Just was standing there for a moment thinking what my next move was) Anyway, she wasn't there and today was great. And I'm happy for our girl to have a nearby place where she can get exercise, get groomed and socialization and that shows their love of animals in their care. ❤️ We'll be back for sure.
Recently we used norwichtown for our two pups when we went away for a week. Our vaccinated dogs contracted kennel cough and we were contacted via voicemail that they needed to be picked up early because "they weren't doing well." We were able to pick them up a day early, but the person was not able to answer any of my questions: when did symptoms start? Were there any other dogs that were showing symptoms? These questions were met with the response of "I don't know." We also left food for the dogs, and she brought the wrong food back out, and was quite surprised when I told her that wasn't it. I am not confident in her "promise" that they didn't actually mix up the foods after her going to recheck for 7-8 minutes, she wasn't able to provide the extra bags we left. I asked for a manager to call me, but I never heard back. I called again, but was kicked out to an answering service, and did not get a response again. I will not be using them again, they seemed disorganized and unprofessional.
They give my pets a wonderful safe and fun environment every time we go on vacation, love the puppy postcards! The staff is just wonderful.
When my wife and I went out of town a couple of weeks ago we had a last-minute change in plans and needed to find someone to take care of our puppy before we flew out the following day. Norwichtown pet resort and spa were fantastic throughout the whole process. They were able to get her in for the next day and our puppy absolutely loved it. They made the process easy, painless and were very supportive when we called and checked on her multiple times throughout the week as it was our first time leaving her alone. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. Thank you Norwichtown pet resort and spa for taking great care of star flight!
First time using a kennel for my 2 puppies (7 months) and 10 (months) they were great ! One employee in particular Emonte(spelling ?) was excellent! Definitely will use again!
This is actually my very first Google review. Usually, I don’t bother with these things, but this experience is different because it involves my dog, and it’s been an incredibly stressful week watching him struggle. About a week ago (4/5) while at work, I received a distressing call from the owner telling me that my dog had been injured and needed immediate medical attention. I rushed to pick him up and brought him to the vet (shoutout to Colchester Vet Hospital for their exceptional care). They confirmed that he had sustained a bite wound from another dog. The treatment, including sedation, stitches, medication, and a cone, resulted in about $600. I was very concerned and wanted more clarity. I spoke to the owner that evening however, her response was not only dismissive but also evasive of responsibility. She mentioned a kennel card that I signed, explaining she is not liable. While I understand the concept of waivers, it’s disheartening when they are used as a shield rather than a commitment to safety and accountability. The biggest problem was the lack of transparency regarding the incident. The owner first said she didn’t know what happened. Then said it could have been the fence. Once we both knew it was a bite, she couldn’t identify which dog had bitten mine and attributed it to “roughhousing” among the dogs. She even made matters worse when she said the worker was also watching a pregnant dog mom and is not able to watch the dogs every second. It’s also concerning that they were unaware of my dog’s injury until all the dogs were called, indicating a lack of attentiveness. My dog’s temperament is well-known to the staff. He’s not one to engage in “rough play.”The fact that he was in a situation where an incident could occur is deeply upsetting. It leads me to question whether he was placed in the wrong group of dogs or if there wasn’t adequate supervision during their interactions. To make matters worse, it’s been over a week since the incident, and I have not received a single follow-up call or message from the daycare owner asking about my dog or how I’m doing. It feels like they don't care. My dog is a therapy dog, and he’s very gentle. It’s sad this happened. I didn’t want to write this review, but I think people should know what happened. I hope they do better next time.
We have been bringing our pups to Liz and Mike at American K-9 for over a decade now, and have nothing but amazing things to say! Summer, Ellie, and Kaia truly love going here every day. When we moved 4 years ago we made sure we stayed close enough so we could keep bringing them here while we are at work. If that doesn’t tell you how amazing this place is we don’t know what will! Thank you Liz and Mike!
Mike is awesome. My dad and I brought my almost-3 year old german shepherd to him for training and had a lot of success. His training methods involve using praise rather than treats or toys as rewards, and IT WORKS. Mike really focuses on making sure YOU get the training right every week so you can go home and practice the most effectively with your dog. My dad and I learned so much from him and feel a lot more confident now with training. Highly recommended!
Mike is a great guy, excellent instructor. My 10 month old GSD and I are currently doing one on one training with Mike. We have had 2 lessons so far and I am beyond impressed. Mike is a super personable, passionate about what he does and a friendly guy, but he is also tough. When our dogs don't listen, it is human error, not the dog's fault. Mike is teaching me how to work with my dog without treats, without a correction collar, just dog and master. Only 2 lessons in and we have made wonderful progress based on Mike's hands on teaching. He is very honest, tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat anything. It takes practice and work and if your willing to put in the work with your pup, I guarantee that Mike's teaching works. I considered doing board and train with Mike and I would trust him 100% with my GSD, but at the stage we are at, we thought one on one training would suit us better. I wish I had found Mike before I had sent Kas to another board and train program when he was 5.5 months old. Do yourself and your pup a favor and call Mike before anyone else!
These people know their stuff! Initially, we started training with Michael. Now our pup is making friends at day care. Cutest!!! So much heathier emotionally, phycically & mentally than a dog park for socialization!
I’ve never had anything but amazing experiences with Mike and Liz at American K9 Academy. We have boarded our dogs here, had them trained and we purchased our Belgian Malinois Loki from them in 2016. Loki, the dog we bought, is an incredible dog and a fantastic personal protection K9. He’s stable, gorgeous and has great working drive. Truly the best dog I've ever owned. Mike is an excellent trainer. He’s done obedience for both of my malinois, and he’s also Loki’s personal protection trainer. The experience he has shows every time we train, and he’s passionate about the dogs he trains. He's able to adapt to different personalities and implement a method that works for the individual dog. We've boarded our pups here multiple times and I know that when I board my dogs here, they will be safe and cared for. I can go out of town and not have to wonder if they’re ok. The kennel is kept clean, and the pups have an indoor and outdoor space. Liz makes sure they have time out in the yard to run around and play as well. I trust them implicitly with my animals and will never go to anyone else for boarding or training. If you’re looking for an incredible dog, boarding or training I highly recommend American K9 Academy!!
I am a new dog mom and was very hesitant with bringing my dog to daycare/boarding. I looked around the area and made several calls. I decided to try this place out, so my dog can socialize at a young age! Unfortunately, I moved out of the area over a year ago but didn't want to forget to write a review of how happy I was with American K-9 Academy. I met Liz and Mike, they are very personable and knowledgeable; had a lot in common too. I dealt the most with Liz and can't thank her enough. I appreciate all that you've done! Bowser misses you all!
I don't have enough kind words to say about how excellent K9 Academy is. Both the training and the boarding are top tier. Mike, who runs the training, has a unique understanding of dogs and people. He has developed a training course that will effectively get your dog to listen to you. Even more important than training your dog, he teaches you how to handle your dog. You will need to work with your dog every day between classes to get the most out of this course but the benefits of having your dog listen to commands is priceless. We are extremely grateful for his ability to teach and hold people accountable. Liz, who runs the kennels, shows that she cares about the dogs. I have tried a few of the kennels in the area and this is by far the best. They are properly staffed and provide a high level of care, as well as being fairly priced. If you have a dog in the area, I would recommend K9 Academy to anyone looking for training or boarding.
The owners are so wonderful! My pup LOVES daycare so much and always comes home exhausted and happy.
My husband and I took our 2.5 year old male Germans shepherd, Moose, to Michael for our first obedience training. Moose has struggled with being very reactive towards guests in our home. Upon our first conversation with Michael, he made it clear to set realistic expectations of the potential we could make with Moose. I point this out because I think this is a POSITIVE differentiator of American K9. There were no false make believe promises made. Instead we were humbled by the honesty and decided to move forward with obedience training. The results were by far more than we could have expected. We grew to thoroughly enjoy our sessions with Michael. Moose’s level of obedience got to a point where I feel confident in him to obey us as the owner over any reactive situation we may put him in. He may still react initially but to be in a place where we can feel confident in bringing people in our home and having control is a place I never thought we could be. We plan to take our other GSD for training as well. Highly recommend any and all to add American K9 to their family.
Lori has been pet sitting for us for several years now! It’s a huge relief to have someone that can take care of our fur babies while we are away. She provides daily updates while watching them, which helps give peace of mind. The pets always seem happy when we get back home and things are always in good condition.
Lori takes such great care of my two cats when we are out of town. I never need to worry about them because they are safe, happy, and cared for. She treats them like her own and they warmed up to her after just one visit which is great. I’d recommend Lori to anyone looking for a great pet sitter!
Lori been taking care of my little 11 year old Maltese for the past 3 years. We struggled with going on trips because we would worry about our furry girl. I now book trips with confidence because my dog gets excited just when I say Lori’s name and she goes looking for the leash. Lori is great with pets because she has a big heart for them. And that’s the most important. Also she accommodates to my often spontaneous trips. We love her . She is definitely a second mama to our little Bella.
Lori took care of my cat, Dave, for a week while I was in Maine. Dave usually does not trust strangers and will run and hide if approached. With Lori's calm and peaceful energy, she was able to connect with him right away. She sends updates with pics, which gave me confidence that he was doing just fine. He took all the attention from her easily and was in great shape when I returned. I definitely recommend Lori. She takes all the worry away!
Lori is a trusted and loving caretaker of our beloved dog. Lori communicative, nurturing, easy to get along with and a total pleasure. I rarely fill out reviews but I’m happy to do it for her. We really count her to care wonderfully for our dog and she delivers
Lori is absolutely fabulous! We are so happy to have found her for all of our pet and house sitting needs. Our dog previously would get so anxious every time we went out of town, but every time we have left her under Lori's care, we come home to a happy, relaxed pup! Lori is also so great when it comes to communicating and updating us on how things are going while we're away. I always know she's got everything handled! I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a pet/house sitter.
Lori was amazing with my new puppy. Lori was recommended by a trusted a dog care business in the area for a trip I had planned before getting my puppy. I got him only 3 weeks prior to my trip. She cared for him 24/7 and sent me many pictures and updates throughout my trip. I could easily see he was well cared for and happy. What I liked most is that Lori is experienced, knowledgeable, kind and truly engaged in my dogs care. This was all day long and not just for sporadic walks and feedings. My puppy had her full attention for the time I had to be away. I truly recommend Lori and will definitely use her again in the future.
We met Lori at the beginning of 2020 when we were planning a cruise. One of our dogs has Addison's disease requiring vigilant monitoring and meds so we needed someone that could spend the night to care for them properly as our A-dog cannot be boarded. Unfortunately, like most people, our trip in May got cancelled. Our work schedules picked up quite a bit though and we had some long days that required a dog walker. Lori was perfect! With a days’ notice, she will come by and play with them outside for about 30 minutes, which is exactly what they need. Fast forward to October 2020 and we needed a little getaway! Lori stayed overnight for 3 nights and 4 days. She gave regular updates and managed everyone flawlessly. I was so nervous leaving our pets with someone new for the first time, but after the first night I knew I had nothing to worry about and they were in good hands. Now we have to schedule Lori at least once or twice a month because our dogs miss all the play time with her!! She is wonderfully professional and loves her fur clients as if they were her own. We are so thankful to have a trustworthy and reliable person to help us care for our fur babies.
Lori did an excellent job watching my two dogs along with my daughters dog. Watching the three of them at one time is a challenge and she was able to give all 3 of them the attention and love that they were all used to receiving. It was an absolute pleasure to return from my vacation to 3 tired dogs so I could kick back and relax. You could tell that all 3 of them were very content and not stressed out by my absence. It is a pleasure to be able to go away knowing my babies are being well cared for. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone needing someone to watch their dogs and give them the love and attention that they are used to receiving!
Lori has been an amazing pet sitter for our 9 month old Labradoodle. As first time pet owners, we were nervous about putting Luna in a kennel and we found Lori through a referral. She has watched Luna for special events and nights where we will be out too late for her to be in the crate. Luna loves being there and Lori takes such good care of her. We receive pictures and updates and never have to worry about Luna's wellbeing. We continue to use Lori and consider her part of an extended family that helps us with Luna. Highly recommend!
Buxters recently took care of our two kitties (Pumpkin and Lola). Auntie Jay was amazing!!!! She followed all care instructions and even spent extra time with them each day to play. She also sent updates and photos every day. We can’t wait to use her again in the future.
Five stars for Buxter's Paw on all counts! Aunty Jay visited the house ahead of time and was totally prepared and professional with all plans and paperwork. Shy cat walked right up and made friends. While I was away, she sent daily pix and updates. She had both cats (who usually would be under the bed) out and interacting -- miraculous! When I returned, kitties were happy, and everything was neat as a pin. Aunty Jay even washed the food bowls for me, which was above and beyond. Excellent communication about the schedule. Most important: animals trust her. I recommend without reservation!
We couldn't be happier with Buxter's pet sitting service! Aunti J was absolutely amazing with our African Grey parrot, providing exceptional care and attention. Aunti J made us feel completely reassured and safe while we were traveling, knowing our feathered friend was in the best hands. We highly recommend her service and will definitely be using it again in the future!
I had an exceptional experience with Auntie Jay’s pet sitting service, especially with her expertise in birds. My ring neck parakeet, Kia, had a delightful time and even learned to say ‘peekaboo’ within two weeks! Auntie Jay’s patience and attentive care, including daily photo updates, made me feel like Kia was treated as part of her family. I am immensely grateful and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend her services to other pet owners!
Great work with my 2 dogs She when above n beyond for their care. She not only took care of them she also followed up with me to check of them n kept an open communication with me and help me with some off the allergies that I was dealing with them. N I made the change it n now there are find Luv her services
I feel so lucky to have found Aunty Jay pet sitting services, I felt at ease having my baby stay with her while I was away overseas, she took care of my pet just like if she was his owner! I’m very thankful for the great care she provided to my pet, She’s very caring, sweet and very knowledgeable ! She’s amazing ! I recommend her 100% ! ❤️
Aunty Jay is a delight to work with. My cats adore her. She gives me peace of mind whenever I'm out of town. Highly recommend. Very trustworthy.
Amazing service! Cared for our cat like it was her own. Very knowledgeable about everything! Vets had gave us an antibiotic for him for the scratching she knew what it was and told us he didn’t need it. And sure enough the rash went away.
I have been using her services now for several years. And in my 40 years of pet ownership I have never found anyone more trustworthy or reliable. She has watched my pets for weeks on end, at my home or at hers. She has been their walker. She has taken them to vet appointments. She was even there with me when one of them passed. I could not recommend her more highly.
Aunty Jay did a great job taking care of my free roam rabbit. She was extremely professional checking in on my rabbit while I was away and making sure I knew my pet was cared for! Highly recommend to pet parents who are looking for a pet sitter that will love their pet as their own!
Charlene is absolutely wonderful to work with! She always communicated with me about how visits went and would always send a few photos as well. She was prompt, reliable, and honest when we were away which I really appreciate. Looking forward to having Charlene hang out with my cats again ◡̈
Charlene is reliable, dependable and goes out of her way to make sure all is well for my kitties. I highly recommend Merry Pawpins Pet Care. You won't be disappointed!
Charlene of Merry Pawpins Pet Care is one in a million. She always puts my pets needs first and my little 10 lb maltese dog absolutely loves her. If you are looking for that special pet sitter that is one in a million, you have found her!!!
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Maria! I’ve never left my dogs with anyone besides family and I was very nervous as she would be watching them for a week. She sent pictures and videos every day and gave me updates of how they were doing and adjusting. I know they were well taken care of and I will absolutely continue to send my dogs to Maria!!
I left my senior dog at doggy good time for two weeks. I have never been happier. We met Maria first and made sure that her house was suitable and comfortable for our dog. Our dog came back super happy and I know well taken care of. She sent daily pictures of our dog, which made us feel at ease. I would give her 10 stars instead of five. I will definitely send my dog back when we go on vacation next year.
Our Golden Retriever Lizzy stayed with Maria at Doggie Good Time while we had a weekend away. Our pup can be a little anxious but she felt right at home! Maria kept us posted with pictures and status updates while gone. Maria is an awesome woman who truly cares for pups! It can be hard to find someone trustworthy to take in our pups! Don't look any further if you're looking for daycare and/or boarding.
I was looking for a dog sitter that is more like a home environment for my two dogs. My older dog doesn't do well in you traditional kennel environment, he gets very stressed. My husband and I travel a lot so i was looking for someone who i could trust. I found Maria with her home daycare. After spending time in her daycare I couldn't be happier! When I picked up my dogs they were well taking care of, happy, stress-free and tired. I am completely happy with Maria her services. It's nice to have someone you could leave your dogs with and not have to worry about if they are being taking care of.
This family was great! My dogs were so happy and free. A Doggie good time is a great place to board or daycare. They really care for your animals or babies. I was gone for almost 2 weeks and my doggies didn't wanna leave. It proves she is doing right with our babies. Thank you Maria and your family
I could not recommend Maria and A doggie good time enough! The worst part about going out of town has always been leaving the dog behind. Now it is not even a worry- while we go on vacation, Griffey gets to go on vacation too and he absolutely loves it. I have a very hyper dog who wants to play fetch nonstop, when I pick him up he is ready for nap after all of his playtime. Maria is just the best!
Maria is just the best and I never worry about my dog when she is with Maria and her family. She’s communicative, sends updates and photos, and always thinks of the dog’s comfort. I’ve been going to Maria for sitting for over 2 years and she’ll always be my first choice! Highly recommend A Doggie Good Time.
The owner of A Doggie Good Time, Maria is absolutely amazing with all the dogs she cares for. From the first time we met Maria, my puppy was crazy about her and whenever I mention that we are going to see Maria at doggie daycare my puppy absolutely vibrates he is so excited to see her! Her home and backyard are pristine. Zeus comes home exhausted from playing all day. I would recommend A Doggie Good Time to any of my friends and family who need doggie daycare or boarding. Maria is so flexible with drop off and pick up. I have to be at work early so finding a place that opened early enough for me was very important. I couldn’t be happier with choosing A Doggie Good Time for my puppy Zeus.
This is a great place to leave your beloved pet when you are away from home. Maria, the owner of A Doggie Good Time, has mastered the art of pet care. She is very organized, lives in a nice neighborhood, and her home is well maintained. She is as interested in meeting you and your pet, prior to finalizing a reservation, as you will be to meet her and view her property. Maria takes the time to learn about all of your pet's needs. Day of drop off, she will meet you at your car to bring your pet into her lovely sanctuary that she has created. You will need to bring very little.....their food, meds, your shirt for your dog to keep near, a familiar toy. Maria takes care of the rest. Her spacious backyard is fenced in and has clean artificial grass with a drainage feature and cement. If your dogs like to socialize there will be multiple 4-legged friends to play with. Maria even sends pictures with updates on how your pet is faring. You can leave your pet with Maria worry-free because this truly is a home away from home. Michele Monti
I haven’t had the best luck with at home doggy daycares so I was nervous to take my dog to Maria’s. When my husband, dog and I went for our meet and greet, we instantly clicked with Maria and of course our dog didn’t want to leave her gorgeous backyard. I knew right away my dog was safe, happy and in the best place possible. Maria is very passionate about her pet clients, answers in a timely manner, reasonably priced and most importantly provides the best care for my dog. He always comes home tired and happy. Thank you so much Maria for your hard work and dedication to my dog child!🩷
We met Tim back around 2002. After using 2 other pet sitting services that lied & put our pets at serious risk...They said they were at our place ,but they both lied. That's when I did a extensive search for a new pet sitter. We found Summit Pet Sitting , we met with Tim & looked over his all his referrals & found them to be terrific ... One of my cats was Diabetic & Tim is totally trained in giving injections. Both our cats were loving cats .Merlin was a dog in a cats body. Sheba was a bit more of a one person cat, but in time Tim was able to gain her trust. If we asked Tim to call or other certain requests he was awesome. He is loyal, trustworthy & caring person. I can not endorse Tim & Summit Pet Sitting enough.
Tim has been caring for our dogs and fish in our home for the past 7 years. We are now moving out of state and literally the worst part about leaving is that we will no longer have Tim around to take care of our animals (we tried to convince him to go with us but he politely declined). We found Tim 7 years ago after a bad experience with a previous pet sitter. Before we found Tim, we had been ready to cancel a trip because we were no longer comfortable leaving our dogs with the pet sitter we had been using. We found Tim, called his (glowing) references, had him over to meet our animals, and we hired him at the last minute. Since then, he has probably stayed at our house at least 25 times over the years. We have had our dogs stay at his house several times as well. Tim is very flexible and accommodating. Our dogs love him. He probably takes better care of them than we do. We never worry at all anymore when we have to travel because we know they are in very good hands. We would 1000% recommend him to anyone who is looking for the absolute best care for their fur-kids!
Tim has stayed with our 2 dogs and 2 cats twice while we went on vacation. It is much less stressful on the pets to have someone stay with them in their regular environment rather than boarding. Tim takes great care of them, and sends daily updates and pictures! The dogs are always happy and tired from lots of play time when we get home. I highly recommend Summit Pet Sitting!
Tim has been our dog-sitter for the past few years and he has consistently provided us with reliable service. Most recently, Tim watched our dogs during our honeymoon. He noticed one of our dogs had a foot infection and took her to the vet after consulting us. We are grateful his attentiveness to our dogs' well-being led to a speedy recovery. He writes daily reports on our dogs' activities and also takes care of your mail/plants/others as needed. In addition, our dogs love seeing Tim whenever he walks into the apartment -- this gives us a tremendous peace of mind when we have to leave them home. We highly recommend Tim for pet-sitting services.
Timothy Smith is the owner of Summit Pet Sitting. He has been walking our Lhasa Apso "Lexi " three mornings a week for nearly three years. During that stretch he has never missed an appointment. On the rare occasion he can't make it he finds a substitute walker so our service is uninterrupted. You cannot find reliability like that anywhere! Besides his dependability, Timothy is very trustworthy. He has had a key to our home for the duration of the relationship. He can be counted on to let himself into the house, leash & walk our dog, responsibly dispose of the poop, fill the food & water dishes, and lock the door on the way out. In the beginning Tim made sure the dog was comfortable with him. It didn't take long for Lexi to warm up to him and now she looks forward to seeing him! Timothy also will administer medications to Lexi whenever necessary such as the time she had an ear infection and needed ointment applied. He also reports anything unusual like the time Lexi had a urinary tract infection. He noticed blood in her urine and texted a picture to me right away so we could bring her to the vet ASAP. We also board our dog with Tim whenever we travel. He will bring Lexi to his house and care for her like she is his own pet. In addition to his top notch service, Timothy is very reasonably priced. He provides excellent value but most importantly he puts our minds at ease knowing Lexi is in safe hands. He also seamlessly handled a few instances where we had a second dog at our house and treated that dog exactly the same as Lexi at no additional cost. I highly recommend Summit Pet Sitting for all your pet needs!
Tim is awesome. We have 3 hounds, Cora, Mojo and Bennie. They loved being cared by him. He sends pictures and truly cares about his guests. We have used him twice and were extremely satisfied. When we mention his name the tails begin to wag profusely. My wife and I get jealous. Highly recommend this company. Safe, reliable, dependable and affordable pet care.
Summit Pet Sitting is the best. Tim gets my dog. She is an older dog and can get stubborn and cranky. Tim still gets her to walk and play and makes sure she is cared for and safe. He also gives her her medications and never charges extra fees like the kennels do. I could not recommend him more highly. I can go on vacation with total peace of mind.
Tim has always been great with our dogs, and you can tell from the very first encounter that he is an animal person through and through. We always know that boarding with him is their home away from home, and can’t recommend his services enough!
Dealing with Tim is fantastic! Tim took care of our lab "Sarge" for a few days while we were on vacation and we didn't worry once about his care. We would receive daily updates and picture/videos of him hanging out and during playtime. It was a great experience dealing with Summit Pet Sitting.
We have a 3 year old Boxer mix named Koda who is a rescue. She is incredibly wary and fearful of strangers and loudly announces her feelings. We are trying to work on this with her but we still have a ways to go! We recently got married and on that weekend, lost our trusted dog sitter as they were also at the wedding. We got a recommendation from a good friend of ours who is also a local town’s Animal Control Officer. We highly value her opinion as she is working with dogs like Koda daily and if she vouches for someone, it’s for a reason. We spoke with Tim and right away knew that we liked him, but he wanted to be sure that KODA would like HIM. We set up a meeting and Tim came over for an hour to introduce himself to Koda and see how things went. She was initially wary, as she always is, but Tim’s warm nature and experience with difficult dogs showed immediately as Koda very quickly warmed up to him. His knowledge of dog behavior and confidence with reactive dogs made the whole meeting process go smoothly and we were ready to proceed. Tim was willing to watch Koda in his home as we felt like that would be the best option for her. He set up another meeting with us to make sure that that Koda would be receptive to staying at his house and would get along with his dog Rose. Upon arrival at his house, Koda immediately recognized him and leapt in his lap, licking his face! The weekend he watched her went off without a hitch and Tim sent update messages and pictures to keep our mind at ease. All in all, we HIGHLY recommend Tim to anyone needing a dog sitter, be it for a super friendly dog or for one with special requirements like ours. We are incredibly thankful to have found Tim and are thrilled to have found our new dog sitter for the future!
We have been using Pattie for over a year - leaving our pup with her for drop in days or a week at a time! He is always happy to arrive and is clearly well taken care of when we come back to get him! We would recommend Pattie 100% She’s amazing!
Pattie is the best!!! I have never seen a woman love and care for dogs more than she does! She watches my black lab Cooper when my family and I are away and he absolutely loves going to her house. She has a beautiful home with a big, open backyard for the pups to run around and play in. She is very reliable and I know my dog is always in good hands when he is with her. Highly recommend!! :)
Pattie has been taking care of our two Labradoodles for over a year. They both LOVE “Auntie Pattie” as well as their “ cousins “ Bruno & Tiff’ 🐾. We have no worries when we leave our two girls in her care in her beautiful home. Pattie will often text over a picture showing the girls being spoiled with much love an attention. If you want your pets in a safe loving environment give Pattie a call!
I highly recommend Pattie's Pet Sit-Inn! Our two pups went there and they had an amazing time. She has a beautiful set up with other sweet and playful pups. Our dogs are a little shy and they warmed up to her very quickly. We are so happy to have found her!
Pattie and her husband are so wonderful! They are very loving and easy. I know my puppy Bowie is well taken care of at their house. And he comes home exhausted!! He has so much fun playing with their dogs! Thanks Pattie for providing such a wonderful service!
I highly recommend Pattie for her services. Our little one had a bad experience at a previous day care facility so finding Pattie was a true blessing! A clean well kept safe haven for him to have a fun time. I'm never nervous for him in her care. He gets so excited to arrive. Simply wonderful.
Pattie is the best! Our mini goldendoodle loves to spend time at her house! They treat her like a she is their own. I highly recommend her!
Ozzy loves being at Pattie's with her dogs Bruno and Tiff. He gets lots of attention and has plenty of outdoor activity as they have a large backyard. Will definitely be going back to Pattie.
I have a difficult to groom dog who has been rejected by other groomers in the past for barking and making a scene with strangers. She also has long tough nails that she does not like to get clipped. I asked Lisa to give it a try and she succeeded! My McKenzie had a nice bath and Lisa trimmed her nails down -- though not too much which I was very thankful for! We are definitely sticking with this groomer in a routine. My dog is happy and not traumatized as she was in the past from other grooming shops. Thank you so much!
We Love Go'in to the Cats And Dogs! Lisa does a great job and has had a great relationship with our dog Albert for years. Albert loves his soft fur and he always looks great because of Lisa and her excellent grooming services.
The cat you “groomed” for Marc Osko actually belongs to me and I was at work so I was not home to witness what happened, all I know is the job you did do which was a sanitary cut was a hack job. You shaved WAY to far up his tail and down his legs when it was supposed to be just around his butt. I also know that you quoted us $65 for all services including bath, sanitary cut and nail trim but at time of visit tried to charge us $70 when only 1 service was rendered. I understand if you decide against bathing the cat for safety issues however you cannot still try to charge for a service that was not given, that is where the issue comes in. You run your business out of the town we live in so you did not have to travel far and travel was included in our original quote of $65. I don’t think your seeing the big issue here but I will continue to tell people not to use your services.
Came out to wash my cat and give a sanitary cut. Wouldnt park near the house (had to carry the cat about 200 ft. Only brushed him because he was "scared of water"( duh...) shaved him and still charged me full price for half of the job. Never again Update to response. She did not chase the kitty as she claimed. She informed me over the phone to have a bathtowel ready as she would go in and wrap the cat. It took 2 seconds to the get cat wrapped. But she was nervous about it so i even got the harness out for HER peace of mind. He is 22 lbs per the vet scale. Thats neither here nor there. She was there for 30 mins total. No way she de-shedded that cat. And hes full of dandruff now and stinks worse than before. When all is said and done she quoted me 65 over the phone. Did HALF the job and charged 70. If she "couldnt wash the cat" out of fear or whatever then she shouldnt have charged full price. Should have been. "Well i tried to wash the cat but i couldnt. So let me knock that price down for you." In what world do you pay anyone for half a job?
I called and made an appointment and the price alone was outrageous, I told the lady my cat has flees and will need a flee bath, and she said ok well I'll bath her but don't expect all the flees to be taken care of, j would usually blow dry her dry but seeing as though she has flees I don't need them in my van. I'm pretty sure ur a groomer and ur supposed to do your very best, vaccume after if needed. Then she tells me it will be between 75-100 dollars , woah my dog cost 45$ , shouldn't a cat be a little cheaper? So then I called the day before to cancel and she was so beyond rude about it, " when did you plan on calling me about this" what do I mean I called and left messages. Honestly wouldn't recommend this person at all. Very rude and I was pretty upset about it.
I needed a groomer for my long haired cat and Go'in to the Cats and Dogs did a great job with her.
She is wonderful, so glad we found her, I highly recommend her.
I absolutely LOVE the dog nanny and my dog does too. She gets so excited every time she’s gone and comes back home nice and tuckered out. I love how they have little pools for the dogs to play in when it’s super hot out so they can still play outside while staying cool, and the inside of the facility is always nice and fresh on the summers and cozy warm in the winters. All the staff here is also so passionate and caring for all the dogs and it really shows in how well they are looked after. Best day care and boarding spot around!!
Our family loves The Dog Nanny. The Dog Nanny is my dogs favorite place in the world, plus the staff is also great with communication. Couldn't recommend them enough for canine boarding or daycare.
My dog rusty been coming here for a long time and he absolutely loves it. He’s the happiest dog in the word whenever I pick him up. I’ve talk to a girl named Lila and she was the nicest and most helpful person I’ve met THANK YOU DOG NANNY
I have been using the dog nanny for 14 years with two dogs. When Surf died last year at 13, I received the most beautiful, kind and thoughtful note, that I will always treasure. The note reflected what I already knew - Surf was treated like royalty and they knew her personality and preferences so well. Disco still attends the Dog Nanny and I know she is equally well cared for. The staff are simply superb!
I can’t say enough good things about the staff at the Dog Nanny. They truly care about the dogs and their safety and well-being. My dog is 6 and has been going to daycare and boarded several times since he was under a year old. They pay close attention to the needs of my dog and he absolutely LOVES being there and comes home tired and happy every time!
I would not recommend this daycare. They seem untrained in handling dogs with energy. Instead of allowing them to play and burn off steam, they call you to come pick them up. They called to give me an update and told me they loved my dog he was doing great, and he could stay for the entire day. Not even 15 minutes later they called back saying they needed me to come pick him up immediately because he was overstimulated and he was not allowed back! This defeats the purpose of bringing your dog to daycare for exercise and socialization. This bad experience kept me from trying another daycare for over a year. Since then, my dog has been to two different daycare's where they adore him and have nothing but positive things to say about him. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for daycare services.
The dog nanny is fantastic! My dog absolutely loves it there and always comes home happy and exhausted. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive. Highly recommend!
My dog has been going to the Dog Nanny for around a year and a half now and he loves it! They really are a top-notch organization and take very good care of all the doggos. I'm always happy to see my little guy run into the play yard straight away every morning to play with all his little buddies .
We signed up for the dog walking services offered by the Dog Nanny back in January after hearing great things on Facebook and from word of mouth of friends. We cannot be happier with how amazing all of the walkers are. My 2 year old rescue can be very timid of other people at times. Cortny scheduled a meet & greet with us prior to starting walking to ensure Peyton (and I) would feel comfortable! Cortny walked Peyton for the first several times to get her into the routine of having someone come into our house and take her, then we gradually transitioned into allowing other walkers in. I did not even think of doing it gradually, but Cortny wanted to ensure Peyton was comfortable. I work more than full-time in my office and sometimes feel like a bad Dog Mom not be able to be around more often during the work week. Cortny, Jodi, and Lindsey have helped relieve that stress completely. They are more than flexible with scheduling and have saved me several times when I had a last minute meeting arise to go take Peyton out. After several weeks of walking and loving the Dog Nanny Staff, we decided to do daycare 2 days a week and walks 3. I truly could not imagine life without these people! Everyone who we have interacted with at the Dog Nanny has been nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend the Dog Nanny to anyone considering dog walking and/or daycare for their pup. (First photo from walking, second photo from daycare)
Amazing people and we feel 100% confident of the care our dog receives either with daycare or boarding.
