Dog Sitters in The Downs

My two cockatiels loved staying with Lynn and the folks at Noah’s Ark. If anything, there were times they seemed to be sad to leave! Their prices are reasonable, they were super flexible with my travel schedules, and they took amazing, well-informed care of my baby birds. Lynn also checked in over text, so I knew I would be in the loop if anything happened. I boarded my birds with them several times over the course of a year or two, sometimes for multiple weeks at a time, and I never had a bad experience. I have since moved out of state and miss them dearly. I have seen them board anything from gerbils to fish to lizards. If you need boarding for your pet while you’re out of town, consider Noah’s Ark!

I can not rave enough about the awesome staff here! Although our dog, Cali was not a perfect fit for their specific facility, they provided an excellent 2 hour trial for her. Lynn, Ellie, and the whole staff is absolutely phenomenal and I can tell they truly love/care about animals. They were kind enough to send some photos of Cali after we dropped her off, which is always a nice gesture. Definitely would recommend to others looking(:

I have boarded two of my dogs and they were treated so well!! They got good baths and their nails clipped as well as being taken outside for walks. Christina does such a great job too, spends time just loving and playing with them. Appreciate all they do !!!

Had left my dog for 5 days. Picked up dog who had a cut on his face that I was not informed of prior to pick up. Had paid for nail clipping which did not appear to have occured. Was told I would receive an update with a picture of my dog during his stay which was never sent my way. My dogs blanket was being washed when I came to pick him up on his scheduled day and I was told they would let me know when it was finished so I could pick it up. I never received a call or message. The facility is very cramped. 2 of the 3 times when I came into the waiting room no one was around to help for extended periods in the middle of the business day. Based on the other reviews I had high hopes but I will not be using them again.

I cannot even begin to thank this crew for how much they have saved me this week with my new puppy addition! I was not ready to leave the little guy at home, so upon short notice, they have taken my pup for day boarding during a hectic week with absolutely no fuss about it! He is still very young, so even pup day boarding made me nervous. I appreciate the consciousness taken to care for each individual dog’s needs and not lumping him into a crowd. After day one, Marshall took to this team extremely well and now grabs his leash from me in the lobby and off he goes…he is just as happy on the other side when I come to pick him up. I feel this to be the best outcome when trusting a small business with your furry best friend! I have decided to day board once a week to let him socialize and become more comfortable being away from us for bits of time! Thank you to the Ark team for loving my fluff ball!

We love the ark. The people are supper friendly and got back to me fast. They took great care of my 5 year old dog I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else.

Noah's Ark was great. They handled my dog's medication and her particular diet. Plus they gave her individual attention and they were willing to give me updates throughout my trip. I'll definitely be taking my dog here again.

It’s a great place to board your animals, though recently i tried to board my animals at that place and called Noah’s ark, emailed, and tried to contact the owner and never got a response. I used to never had an issue with that until i no longer worked at Noah’s ark. It would been nice if they responded and just told me look we do not want you to board your animals here, i would respect that, but instead they ignored my calls . I thought the people i worked with, were kind and respectful, they were when i worked there and even before i worked there, but since i left Noah’s ark they pretty much ghosted me . It is super disrespectful and unprofessional in their part for doing this. Though i know there is two sides of a story or a reason why they are doing this, and i do not know their reason, but i hope they do not do this to other people, because its really good place to board their animals. I really was debating on writing a review but really wanted people to know that this is what is going on. And hope it does not happen to them. I really respected the workers and the owners there, but now, i am re thinking it.

We've never used a pet sitter before but Robin was fantastic! She went out of her way to make time for us for an otherwise busy fourth of July week and worked with us on our preferred schedule. Our two cats can be a lot of work but Robin left us incredibly detailed messages of all she did, took lots of pictures, and even let us know we were almost out of something so we could pick it up before returning home! We're so thankful we can leave our pets without worry!

We have been using Pure Love Pet Sitting for the past two years and I can honestly say that our vacations and work trips are more relaxing knowing our pets are in good hands. Not only are they hands on and loving with our fur babies, they are amazing when it comes to leaving little updates and notifications with each visit they make. It’s always comforting to see photos of happy pets while you’re away and even more comforting to be able to allow the pets to stay in the security of their own homes as opposed to having to board them.

What a wonderful experience- Robin is amazing and after this week I think my cat might like her more than me! I was nervous to leave Juniper alone for so long but after the first update I knew there would be no issues. Robin made sure to send in depth notes about each visit and lots of photos (which always made my day). I’ve never come home from a trip away without June being sort of grumpy at me but this time she was relaxed and very happy, like we hadn’t left at all. I should also mention that the set up process was a breeze and we had a meet and greet beforehand just to get everyone acquainted. I can’t recccomend Robin and Pure Love enough!!

Pure Love Pet Sitting is an amazing experience for your fur baby. Robin is so attentive to my pups needs and helping us with gaps of time when he needs some time outside and some love. She genuinely adores her clients and takes such detailed time to send photos and a write up of her visit in real time not hours later . I highly recommend Pure Love Pet Sitting . Robin is the best! I have a senior dog with some behavior quirks and Robin worked with me to make sure my dog was comfortable with her before sitting for my 3 day trip. This was the first time I have tried in-home sitting and it was a great success! Robin is calm, confident and loving with my dog, which I think makes a huge difference in my dog being comfortable with her. All of my instructions were followed to a T. I received a detailed written report with pictures after every visit. I loved seeing the pictures of my dog playing and snuggling with Robin; happy as a clam at home vs stressed at a kennel. Robin is a cat whisperer! My cat is afraid of everyone….except Robin. He actually greets her at the door when she comes to feed him and lets her pet him. This was the best experience I’ve had with a pet sitter! My cats are messy eaters and worse with the litter box. Robin is amazing at cleaning up everything!! She communicates all details and sends great pictures!! I felt so relaxed knowing my cats were in great care! I would high recommend Pure Love Pet Sitting!

Robin and Jeremy are absolutely the best. Do not hesitate to reach out to them if you are in need of pet sitting. One of our pups was diagnosed with pancreatitis prior to leaving town. With the meds and strict food intake, and the idea of boarding them we almost canceled our trip. Instead, I reached out to the Pure love team and they scheduled a meet and greet to meet the dogs and come up with a scheduled plan. They exceeded our expectations and we will be a forever customer. The dogs loved Jeremy and he sent us updates and photos through the affiliate app they use. It's easy to access and message for updates and questions. I cannot thank them enough for caring for our fur babies!

We were fortunate to have such a kind and caring person as Jeremy taking care of our cat (Winslow) while we were away. Jeremy went the extra mile during each visit, including vacuuming around the litter box after scooping it out and cleaning up where he saw that Winslow had thrown up. My wife keeps marveling at how clean our house was when we returned! Jeremy also sent us lots of wonderful pictures of Winslow each day, including the three that are posted. It was clear from the pictures that Winslow was very comfortable with Jeremy and was enjoying his usual routines of drinking from the faucet and getting lots of attention. Jeremy may have taken better care of Winslow than we do! I’m sure Winslow is looking forward to the next time we leave town so that he can be completely spoiled again. We felt very comfortable with Pure Love Pet Sitting taking care of our cat and our house while we were away and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone!

I recently used Best In Show for the first time and I, along with my dog, had an outstanding experience. Hillary was phenomenal with my dog (60 pound boxer) and was extremely loving and caring with him while I was on my trip. Hillary's love for animals in general is in her aura. I received consistent updates while I was away and any time I reached out, she ALWAYS responded immediately. I can't thank Best In Show enough for being my new pet sitting service go-to. Hilary did a wonderful job winning over our crazy young guy, Tommy, and even managed to keep an eye on our Lucy, who spends most of her time hiding under the bed from strangers… Thank goodness I read other great reviews about Hilary and Best in Show, because I was at my wits end trying to find a new cat sitter after our long-time sitter retired. We travel regularly and boarding is hard for everyone under the best circumstances! I highly recommend Hilary for her personalized service, attention to detail and the videos she sent to keep us in the loop. Tommy definitely recommends her!

I recently used Best In Show Pet Sitting to watch our two kitties while my family was traveling for a week, and it was such a great experience. Hillary made the process so easy, and the cats loved her. She kept us updated via text including adorable pics and videos of our babies every single day while we were gone. When your cats don't look excited to see you when you get home from vacation, then you know they like the Pet sitter! I have 2 older cats, 15 and 17, both on medication. Hilary came in and was great with both cats! Best in Show is the first pet sitter I've used and we will always call Hilary when we need a sitter after the great care that our cats received! Hillary was great! Her online scheduling system used to set up meet-and-greets/visitations is convenient and easy to use. The daily pictures and videos that she sent of my cat melted my heart. I will definitely be going to Hillary for pet sitting in the future.

We love GoDog Durham! Our dogs love the pool during the summer time, running around, and the staff take care of them like they’re their own doggies. Pups always come home happy and tired. Highly recommend!

Love coming home to a happy puppy. So thankful for the staff at GoDog for such an amazing experience! GoDog was great. Our dog is definitely a homebody and I always hate leaving him. But I truly believe the staff are very caring and work hard at making him feel comfortable. I love that they send pics! It was clear that Rudy started to enjoy himself more over time which tells me they are taking good care of my baby.

GoDog Durham is fantastic! We were traveling and needed a place to keep our Stella for several hours and they were so accommodating! She had a great day and we didn't worry about her at all. We had a wonderful first experience at GoDog! We were hesitant to board both of our dogs - one because she is sweet-tempered and thin-skinned, the other because he is big and can sometimes be unpredictable. But they both had a great time at GoDog! We got personalized updates, and they offered a Complimentary Care Assessment before starting boarding/day care to everyone feel comfortable as well. Drop-off and pick-up were easy as well.

So friendly and the run a smooth operation. Took my dog to full doggie care after not living here for 4 years and she was treated like a rock star. Very clean, well run and great dog loving people!

We had a great first day experience here. My dog enjoyed himself, it was wonderful to be able to check in on him throughout the day. We had a terrible experience. We picked up our 16 month old Rottweiler puppy on Saturday and right away noticed he was very tired and lethargic. He developed a cough and fever the next day would not eat or drink. We suspect he contracted kennel cough so went to the vet today and he received IV fluids and antibiotics. The vet said he was severely ill. This was our first and last time using GoDog. Kim Gorham

We had an incredibly professional, communicative, and easy experience with GoDog Durham. We had not used boarding services for some time given bad past experiences with our often anxious rescue dog. Wow, where to start and what to say about our incredible experience with Kate's for our kitty-care... Let's start with our two spoiled princesses, Mimi and Dora, one inside and one outside that we dote-on daily. As we had planned to fly out of town, their care was a huge stress-point for us, and we researched a service for weeks. Add to that is the home-security factor as well. Having Kate's team being so experienced, and secured, we've found that not only peace-of-mind, but an invaluable part of our support system for our kitty-girls. However, even more than that, is the incredible and amazing care and attention to detail they brought to the service, and... AND... connected us with Michelle who unbelieveably bonded instantly with our ultra spoiled indoor kitty Mimi (who warms up to noone). Not only did Mimi bond with her, she loved Michelle's coming over! We have the camera footage, plus Michelle's awesome daily photo's and video's too! It's almost impossible to convey our appreciation and happy stun-factor, but EPIC is probably the best word! 5 Platinum Stars Incredible!!!!!

We've been using Kate's Critter Care for a couple years now, and it gives us so much peace of mind. Mariana is a magical human that has completely won over our kitties. She is the only other person besides us that one of our cats will come out of hiding to spend time with. The sliding scale has also been helpful so we can adjust our rate a bit based on where we're at in life while still receiving such great care for our boys. While Mariana is our regular sitter and pretty much another family member to us at this point, we have also always received great care from the other folks with Kate's Critter Care (including some special on-call cat sitting when I went into labor!).

We absolutely love Kate’s Critter Care. We’ve used them a few times now and they really give us peace of mind when leaving our 3 cats alone at home. We would like to give a shoutout to our most recent caregiver Jane, who responded extremely quickly for an emergency visit after we realized one of our cats was stuck behind our refrigerator (seriously, cats are troublesome as they are cute). It was after 8pm, but Jane was at our house in 10 minutes and with the help of some neighbors, our kitty was freed. Honestly, don’t know what we would have done without her!!

I hate leaving my dog, but Kate's Critter Care made it so much easier! Beth was amazing! She provided updates throughout the visit and so many adorable pictures of my dog. My dog is high anxiety, and Beth really took the time to work with her and get her trust. Our flight got delayed, and I texted Beth and she was able to add another visit on super short notice to check on my dog. Highly recommend!

Kate's Critter Care is incredible. We have been using them for about five years to come to our house and watch our cats when we go out of town. Special shoutout to Rosemary who is absolutely wonderful and takes care of our cats as if they were her own! I never write reviews but I have to express my infinite gratitude and appreciation for Kate’s Critter Care. I had a business trip scheduled, and then plans suddenly changed when a death occurred in the family unexpectedly. I was able to add and change services almost overnight, and my petsitter, Mariana, has been so excellent with my girls (they might like her more than me by the time I come back!). I feel so much more at ease knowing someone can look after my cats in another state while I try to figure things out. Thank you to everyone at Kate’s!! We had recently moved to Durham when we needed a weekend pet sitter. Setting up the pet services with Kate's Critter Care was very easy and meeting with Rachel was great as she was very warm and caring. She stayed with our dog for the weekend and helped relieve both our anxiety and his when we had to leave him behind to go on vacation. Rachel did a great job caring for our dog and our house while we were away. I would definitely recommend Kate's Critter Care to anyone with pet needs!

Kate's Critter Care offers great service and has taken great care of our 2 cats while we are away! Whether it is a long weekend away, or a two week vacation we can always rely on receiving a daily update. We are always able to book a sitter, even when we wait until the last minute. Although I recommend booking in advance, especially around the holidays to get the sitter of your choice. We have 3 sitters in rotation now and all of them have been wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Kate's Critter Care.

I was a client of Kate's for 1.5 years, until we moved to a neighborhood outside the service area. We have a menagerie of animals, but the primary client was our aging dog, who received exceptional care through Kate's Critter Care. Kate is very responsive, responsible, attentive to detail, and trustworthy. She is also very reasonable and flexible. All of our sitters were wonderful and went the extra step as they provided care and medications to our dog, who a was always eager to see his sitters. Overall, we felt that our pets were in caring and capable hands. We were very happy with the services received and would recommend Kate's Critter Care without reservations.

I used Faithful Friends for a weeklong cruise trip. I’m always nervous to leave my dog and cat behind when going on vacation but after initial conversations I knew that Faithful Friends is prepared and has my pets happiness and health in mind. We set up a little meet and greet before our trip to go over everything and was very happy with Julia. She had a lot of experience and our dog and cat were immediately comfortable with her. I knew they would be in good hands with her. During the cruise we received updates after every visit. Including lots of pictures and descriptions on how they were doing. Faithful friends is very communicative and attentive. I will definitely be using them again! Highly recommend

Wonderful experience using Faithful Friends to watch our pup while we were away for a couple of days. I cannot express strongly enough my satisfaction with Faithful Friends Pet Sitting. I have an elderly dog who has never been kenneled and was I searching for a way to keep her in her normal environment during a 3 day absence. After extensive research I selected Faithful Friends and will use them in the future and recommend them to friends and clients. From the meet and greet visit through each visit while I was away, I received journals of exactly how she was doing complete with pictures and comments. Julie and the team were outstanding. Great communication. We felt really good going out of the country just after meeting Julie and our sitter, who, by the way, did an excellent job handling our bully breed (Rott). Daily check-ins with a lot of photos. The photos were not necessary every day but I am sure there are some who would like that. Maybe every other just to save yourselves a lot of labor and effort, but it was appreciated.

I was in desperate need of their services. They were able to find care for my dog within a few hours. Easy to work with, and kind. Making payment is easy and they also leave a journal so you will be at ease and with pictures of your pet! They exceeded all of my expectations!

I adopted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy and he became available before I had anticipated he would be available. I travel for work and was in an area where I was unfamiliar with the Doggy Daycares. I was so fortunate to find Barkmore House! Hollie was extremely helpful with ensuring all our paperwork was in order and actually met with Astro (puppy) and me on a Sunday afternoon, so we could start daycare on Monday. Barkmore House has a beautiful yard and when not outside he was in a home environment. I was sent pictures every afternoon, which besides being a nicety, was how I learned that Astro loves being around big dogs. I had taken him to a dog park where we live, but he never seemed very interested in the small dog area. After seeing the pictures of him always near the big dogs, I took him to the big-dog side of the dog-park area and he has a grand time running and playing with the Labs and Golden Retrievers. If you’re in the Chapel Hill/Durham area in the need of Dog Daycare/boarding, I highly recommend you checkout Barkmore House. You will not find a more loving and personalized daycare and boarding! With the exception of two, most of these photos were shared with me from Barkmore House. Please note, the one where he is sleeping peacefully in someone’s arms, that is at Barkmore House, I don’t think you can find loving attention anywhere else!

I’ve been with the Barkmore house for at least a year now and they are wonderful! Colby is always excited to go and happy when I pick him up at the end of the day! They always send me pictures while he's in their care which gives me peace of mind while I’m working, and they are great with communication! Definitely worth reaching out if you’re looking for a trustworthy and loving environment to bring your pup :D

I moved to Durham for a psychiatric nurse practitioner residency at the Durham VA in fall of 2023. With me, I brought my precious companion, a miniature Australian shepherd named Jedi. I am so grateful for Barkmore House. It was like leaving my dog with family. I cannot say enough about the kindness and professionalism of the owners and all staff. The play area was clean and well constructed . It is bar none, the best doggie day care in Durham. I cannot sing their praises enough. I'm happy and my dog is ecstatic to go each day. We absolutely love Barkmore House! Hollie and Joe are so kind and my dog loves going there! Historically, my dog does not like to be left anywhere, and acts incredibly skittish and fearful when I try to drop him off. But that is NEVER the case with Hollie and Joe. They send me regular pictures and updates when he is there. He is a happy dog when I drop him off and a happy dog when I pick him up!! All of the pics are ones they have sent me while my pup is there - I have so many pictures from them that it was hard to choose, but this is a small sampling of what you can expect to receive. We LOVE Barkmore House!

We have been using the Barkmore House for a little while now. We love Hollie & her family. We are always at peace of mind knowing our girl is safe and sound here. We get frequent updates and quick responses! Junnu (our black lab) loves Hollie and her family. We have used the Barkmore House for both daycare & overnight stays and wouldn’t want our dog going anywhere else!

We absolutely adore Barkmore! We have left our pup Hudson with them multiples times, for 3 weeks at one point! He ends up having the best vacation of us all! Hollie is so communicative, sending pics and video updates so you can see how your pup is doing. She makes the drop off and pick up process so easy, and has transformed her entire yard into a dog’s playground. We couldn’t recommend them more if we tried! I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. Hollie and her family at the Barkmore House truly love the dogs they care for and it shows. My dog came home happy, healthy and tired after his 6 day stay. I received pictures and videos of everything from him playing with his new doggie friends to cuddling with the family in bed. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a safe alternative to a kennel.

I’m so glad we found Barkmore House! Nandor grew too fast and became really uncertain of his body. He was nervous when meeting other dogs in the large doggy daycare chains and when I brought him to meet Hollie for the first time, I knew he was going to be in good hands. It’s so comforting knowing that someone will care for him the way I would in my absence. I love being able to take him to Barkmore House for the day knowing he will play, and be loved and be exhausted when he comes home. This is the perfect daycare for us and we love the updates we get during his visits!

We have 2 cats and a dog that needed a sitter while we were out of town. We have only been in the area a short while so we hadn't been able to establish a pet sitter previously and our dog takes a while to warm up to new people. Edward from Lucy's Pet Care was a godsend. He was so patient with our dog while she warmed up to him and because of his patience she was so excited to see him and play with her new friend when he came to see her every day. We got daily updates and photos and you could tell our animals were very happy and well taken care of while we were away. We will definitely be using Lucy's again. On top of the great staff, booking is easy once your account is set up, and the company really works to find the perfect staff person to meet your needs. Lucy's Pet Care provides the BEST service and care for your pets while you are away! After knowing exactly who was coming to my home, I knew that my pets were in good hands. I was very impressed with Callie, who took care of my three dogs while I was away. She gave any medication that was needed and sent me an email update along with photos of the furry ones at the end of each day. It gave me much relief knowing that my dogs were well taken care of. When I needed additional pet sitting, it was easy to get in touch with Lucy and Callie. I came home to an incredibly clean house with very happy pups there to greet me. We recently moved to the area and had to take a short trip away. We were nervous about leaving our 3 little cats in the hands of strangers, but had to do it. When I first contacted Lucy, I left a message late in the evening, thinking that she would return the call the next day. Everyone is very friendly and very efficient AND, most importantly, very caring of our pets. Our cats were well cared for, had clearly been playing and enjoying the company of Daiane, who stayed overnight. What a wonderful gift to know that your pets are loved and receiving not only the food, water and litter changes, but also the attention, fun and love they all need. We continue to use them and will likely do so in the future, because we have always received the best care from Lucy and her staff. They are simply wonderful! :)

Lucy Moore has done two overnight stays (Dinner 'til Dawn package) with our two dogs and cat at our home in recent weeks. We have been very pleased and don't have a single complaint. Before the overnight visits, Lucy came to our home, spent some time with our animals, and talked through their whole routine with us to make sure she understood their needs. She also uses a full online profile to keep detailed records on the animals and their routines and requirements. Lucy was very prompt in all communications with us. She even arrived a bit early the first night she stayed at our home. She was great about keeping us up to date on how all three of our animals were doing, sending us pictures and text messages throughout her stay. She left our home in perfect condition, brought our mail in, and left us a detailed note about her visit. Most importantly, she took loving and thoughtful care of our animals while we were out of town. Our older dog needs medication and she was diligent about providing this to him right on schedule. We feel very comfortable having Lucy as a guest in our home. She is an excellent and trustworthy care giver and offers very affordable services. We will unquestionably use her service again in the future, in fact we already have two additional visits scheduled in the next month. Highly recommend Lucy's Pet Care!

We are new to Durham and have just discovered Lucy's Pet Care. We were matched with Callie, who recently took care of our two kitties while we were out of town for 4 days. The service was highly professional and well thought out. They went way beyond what we had expected when we first started looking for a pet care service. Callie came to our house prior to our leaving at no extra charge to meet our cats and to discuss their routines. We got daily texts- and pictures!- about how they were doing. Extras like bringing in mail, turning lights on/off, etc. were no extra charge. Both Lucy and Callie were delightful and I would highly recommend the service.

We used Peak City Puppy during a recent family trip to the beach. Heather took wonderful care of our dogs and cat and provided photos and recaps after each visit. We just used Peak City Puppy for the second time and had another amazing experience. Lauren took care of our 4 year old Golden Retriever and 2 cats… one being an energetic and mischievous kitten. We were gone for 8 days and didn’t have service some of the time, so when we were able we had lovely updates and pics of our pets to catch up on. Lauren not only took care of our pets, but took out the trash and recycling! While we were gone Hurricane Debby came through and Lauren didn’t skip a beat. She had Willow out on her walks and also dried her off (and wasn’t annoyed when she got all goofy during this process lol) It has been so wonderful to have a great person watching our pets while we are gone. Lauren goes above and beyond and makes leaving town much less stressful. I’m also pretty sure Willow was a little depressed when we returned and Lauren wouldn’t be back!

We've been using dog walking services with Peak City Puppy for about a month now 3 days per week and are SO impressed and highly recommend them. We have have two young, large puppies and they love our dog walker, Courtney! I used Peak City Puppy for the first time 2 weeks ago. They were phenomenal! Jenna and Jess were the ladies that took care of my 4 fur babies. From the "meet and greet" to each visit, they were very caring and professional. They let me know when they arrived, when they left, and sent me pictures with updates during each visit. I used the 30 minute visit and the 12 hour overnight since I have a senior dog who needs more care. Jess and Jenna provided the type of excellent care that gave me piece of mind on my trip. Peak City Puppy did an amazing job caring for our Boston Terrier and 2 cats for 5 days while we were out of town recently. Dwayne, Kristin and Erin treated our fur babies like they were their own. We had such a great experience with Peak City Puppy! We were out of town for 2 weeks and needed care for our 2 labs. Angela immediately made us feel comfortable! Our older lab has anxiety issues and had to have unplanned abdominal surgery 2 weeks prior to our trip. Angela was very accommodating and made us feel at ease about leaving her. She sent pictures and videos everyday and it was obvious our puppies were very happy and very well taken care of. We were able to enjoy our trip without one bit of worry! My first experience with Peak City puppy could not have been any better! I had just rescued a 6 year old American Bulldog when I was called into in-person work for several days. On very short notice, Peak City Puppy was able to match me with an in-their-home pet sitter for those days with morning drop-off and evening pick-up. I offered to pay the overnight rate since this was a custom request. My new pup got along great with the sitter’s other two dogs and didn’t want to leave each evening. They took such good care of him and provided updated with pictures throughout each day. It was just a wonderful experience and they alleviated any anxiety I had about leaving a dog who was just beginning to adjust to a new life outside of the rescue environment. I relocated to the area a few months ago and found the Pet Wagon from positive Google reviews. My dog is normally very vocal if he is distressed in any way and displayed unwanted behaviors at home when he had a bad boarding experience at a different facility- however, he is always relaxed when I pick him up from the Pet Wagon, which reassures me he is content and well taken care of. The staff is professional, communicate well, and are great about sending pictures, even when he’s just there for a few hours for daycare which is much appreciated!

I’ve been taking my German shepherd Bennett here for over 2 years and have only positive things to say. After changing jobs I tried a few other dog daycares out of convenience - Pet Wagon is by far the best and the only place I’ll continue to bring him. They take extra measures that go above and beyond & show they really care about safety, your animal and every animal that’s there. Based on my experiences, I’ll share a few things I think would be helpful to other dog owners and what makes Pet Wagon stand out. 1. This was the only place that would accept him without being neutered after 8 months old which was important to me being that it’s not recommended for his breed’s health to be neutered that young. 2. The dogs are separated into specific play groups and closely supervised with an appropriate dog to staff ratio. I’ve seen other places have many large dogs in an enclosure, sometimes with 1 person monitoring all of them. 3. They don’t just “watch” the dogs play - they put in extra effort to improve less than ideal behaviors included in each visit. I noticed an improvement in Bennett’s play manners soon after he started going. When I struggled with other behaviors at home and reached out to discuss training options, Maria patiently listened to my concerns and came up with a plan for additional measures while at daycare/boarding until he could get formal training. 4. My dog doesn’t come home dirty or stinking like a kennel. Other places would send him home covered in mud, dusted in dirt to the point his black coat looks brown, or smelling so bad I’d have to wash him that evening. The Pet Wagon has even gone out of their way to give Bennett a full bath after an upset stomach episode so he was nice and clean when I picked him up, bless them for that. 5. They text the CUTEST photos which I especially appreciate when he’s boarded. I’m always reminded he’s in a good place and being well cared for. Thank you to the owners and staff for providing a safe and loving environment at the Pet Wagon. B and I appreciate you!

The Pet Wagon is the only place I trust to board my 9 year old golden retriever, Clover. I travel an hour and a half specifically to bring her to this location because of the great experiences we have had with them. Clover has separation anxiety and hates to be in kennels. The rooms they have for the doggos are cozy and they do an amazing job at loving on her while she's there. She always is so tired after her vacation at the Pet Wagon from playing so hard! I definitely recommend them for your boarding needs! I wished I lived closer and could use them for day care.

Pet Wagon NEVER disappoints! I am very precarious and over protective and hate leaving my dog with anyone including family however when we take a long family vacations Pet Wagon is who I trust to take care of him. It's been 14 yrs now and they always seem to exceed my expectations and my dog's actions let me know he had a amazing time. You know the Pet Wagon is doing something right when your dog does a wiggly happy dance whenever he comes in. Grogu is a bit high strung and anxious and in most other cases gets upset if he gets separated from us, but every time we come here to drop him off and an employee comes to get him, he RUSHES towards the employee with a wagging tail and follows them right to the door! I love seeing the photos they send me, Grogu always looks so happy and like he's having a blast! The Pet Wagon rocks!

I have been bringing my dogs to The Pet Wagon for the past 5 years, for day care and boarding, and my experience has always been overwhelmingly positive. The staff is caring and attentive. The owner, Juan Galvis, is clearly committed to providing the highest standard of service to the community. The Pet Wagon is “best in class”, hands-down, and I would recommend it without hesitation.

My dog always looks happy and well cared for after his boarding stays. It’s been a challenge to find a boarding facility that is consistent, reliable, and still affordable. I love that pet wagon doesn’t charge extra fees for every little thing, since my dog does require medications. I was given a tour on my first time there and you can really tell the staff enjoy their jobs and the facilities are kept super clean. They also send the cutest dog pics :)

Our 1 y/o rambunctious lab positively LOVES Pet Wagon! We take him to day camp once a week and board him several times per year and every time we drop him off he is just as excited to be there as the last time he went. The staff learns the pups and forms relationships with them — even notice when they’ve skipped a few weeks. So grateful for their easy system, availability and love for our pup!

I love these guys so much! My puppy generally hates being away from me, but she loves it here! I always get cute photos during the day and I'm confident she's having a great time. She also comes home pretty tired, which is great for me!
