We booked our dog in here whilst on holiday to allow us to visit Portmerion, as it's not dog friendly. The girl on the phone was mega friendly, explaining as a day visitor our dog would be kept separate from the regular dogs & would be walked by the Lake. We dropped dog at 10.30am, there was another lady dropping her 2 dogs at same time. The 2 females checking us in were lovely, however, I thought it a tad odd that they paid no attention whatsover to the dogs. We arrived to pick dog up at 3.30. As soon as our dog came out kennel barn, he ran straight to a patch of grass to do a massive wee & within 10mins he then poo'd. This would indicate to me he was not walked at all in the time he was there. My dog is a confident, well behaved, well mannered & healthy wee boy. Later in the day, he was sick 3 times which is highly unusual. Overall, it was a disappointing experience

We had booked and paid for 2 daycare stays whilst we were on holiday locally. A couple of days after the first stay, our little bichon became very poorly. She developed Kennel cough and was struggling to breathe and had to be taken to the vet. As a responsible dog owner, we informed the owner that our dog had kennel cough, and whilst she may have caught it there, we were not about to take her back there to infect any other animals. We did not receive a reply, not even to ask how our dog was or sorry she was ill, let alone a refund for the day we couldn’t take her. Our dog doesn’t mix with other dogs, so the source is limited where she could have caught it. We lost a lot of money that day, including tickets for a train trip, along with added vets bills. There was no feedback as to how she had been for the day, and given it was obvious she was timid, some reassurance would have been appreciated. This was our first time putting our dog in daycare, and the experience has put us off putting her in somewhere ever again!

Given such a high rating based on my dog's reaction On arrival she was happy to trot off to the kennels and on collection noticed she was completely relaxed in the company of the lady who brought her to me. As she is a nervous dog I think the reactions speak for themselves

We needed some emergency day care for my partner's dog as we could not take her to Portmeirion. Tyn Y Dref could not have been more helpful at short notice. Brilliant care in a stunning location.

They were quite rude to me on arrival and didn't take much interest in the dog. Felt bad leaving him there and decided to get him early. Not sure if he got much of a walk or how he was, they didn't say. He seemed to be basically kept safe so I have given them two rather than one but wouldn't use the place again.

We found them pompous and unhelpful. We decided not to use their services.

The lovely people at Tyn y Dref Kennels took great care of our Bernese Mountain Dog for the day whilst we walked up Snowdon (she would not have been able to manage it). Highly recommended. Would use their services again.

When my husband was in hospital I had to put my dogs into kennels , at this time, 2019. My dogs were looked after so well. I can never thank them enough

Great place for your pets to go whilst you are away. The owner, Meg lives and breaths her charges. We've booked out cat Wellington in for two stays this year and another in Jan 2024. Pre booking visits are actively encouraged so you can have a look round before booking.

Meg looked after our lovely boy for a month whilst we relocated to North Wales. Meg was helpful, caring and kind, fitting in and changing dates as required. Meg's cat hotel is a cattery on another level of cat luxury, so I have no hesitation in saying that this is the best service I have seen for pet boarding. Five star review for a five star service.

Absolutely lovely place took such good care of my fur baby, while me and hubby celebrated our wedding anniversary! High recommend! And my boy loved having his own holiday to make new friends.

A big thank you to The Pet Joint for looking after Pig so well while we were away. He clearly had a fab time watching fish tv, chilling on the chaise longue and watching the birds outside. A lovely touch having photos posted on Facebook (it is if you’re crazy cat people like us 🤣). Great communication and clearly so much care in what they do. Would highly recommend for cats, dogs and small animals 💕

Our lively labrador stayed with steve and meg and their canine companions while we got married and went on honeymoon. Not only did they go the extra mile by offering a chaperone service so our boy could be at the wedding they thoroughly looked after him while we were away. The daily updates of photographs of him enjoying his dog holiday put our mind at ease, he was not missing us too much. So much so that it almost looked like he was far more interested in where his canine pals where when we picked him up. I would use and reccomend the pet joint again and again. What can I say? I chose The Pet Joint after asking on FB for recommendations as I wasn't from the area. Originally booked in for a few days, our Puffle ended up staying for three weeks due to a stressful and uncertain house move. I never once felt like an imposition & was continually told by Meg that it didn't matter and Puffle would be welcome to stay as long as necessary. Meg is an absolute credit to petcare and I am in no doubt that she treats all her charges as if they were her own. I wouldn't hesitate to use The Pet Joint again. Thank you so much 🤗

We booked our two cats and dog in for a short break at Pet Joint and were suitably impressed. The care and attention was second to none and the rooms and furnishings were really luxurious. Our little ones enjoyed the experience and arrived back with glowing coats and lots of new friends. Definitely worth considering if you love your pet and want them to enjoy a home away from home! Meg and Steve provide a first-rate, top quality, dog boarding service. Like other dog owners who won’t use kennels, we searched for ages for a suitable alternative for our dog and found it at The Pet Joint. Set in gorgeous North Wales countryside, the dogs have large grounds in which to exercise, sleep in their own, very spacious, rooms and have round-the-clock professional care and attention. Highly recommended.

Meg's a trusting and caring pet mum. She took great care of Roger recently, really efficient arrangements and lovely, kindly approach. Would most def. Reccomend.

We couldn’t ask for a better place for our doggy than Petz Ark! She absolutely loves her time there and gets excited as soon as we take the turn, recognising the place right away — it really says a lot! Vicky and the team provide amazing care, always sending us pictures and updates while we’re away. It makes us feel at ease knowing she’s at a home away from home. I would highly recommend Petz Ark. Victoria is lovely and very knowledgeable when it comes to the needs of the dogs staying with her in her home. I loved the photo and video updates which put my mind at ease. It really is a home from home.

Thank you so much to Debs for looking after Goldie for two weeks whilst we went off adventuring. Goldie had a super time, she was so happy upon collection and Debs made it easy for us to to drop her off with her lovely nature. My young daughter was really upset about having to leave Goldie in kennels and was quite upset but with a big hug from Debs and photos throughout our holiday it was all made better. Thank you so much for your kindness and your attentiveness. We will definitely be bringing Goldie back when we next go on holiday! If you’re in the area and need a kennel then look no further, this place is an absolute gem!

Our Rottie had a good time at these kennels, her tail was up on collection and she was clean. We would definitely use these kennels again. Debbie was very friendly and welcoming on arrival and collection.

My dogs Oscar and Bonnie stayed for a couple of nights, top service. You can just tell that Debbie and Mal love dogs, mine were so well cared for. I’ll definitely be taking my dogs here for their holidays again!

Our very nervous Lurcher Pippin stayed for a month with Debs and Mal and he was so well looked after that I had no worries at all. Debs was so kind and gentle with him and he came home very happy and healthy. I would always be more than happy to leave my pets in their care and cannot recommend their kennels enough! Just collected our three (two cats and a dog) from Debbie, after another excellent visit. The furries always come home happy and healthy, and from the time I drop them off to the time I pick them up, I know they're in good hands.

Felt so sad to leave my boy as we’ve been stuck to each other since we got him (just before lockdown). Soon as I arrived I felt happy to leave him with Debbie as she was so reassuring and clicked with my boy the moment we got there. So please with the service and will defiantly use Debbie again. Cat came home very stressed. My cat was left in its carrying box when I arrived at 9-30 to collect her its fortunate that I arrived to collect her at that time. Had I arrived at 10-30 I dread to think what state she would have been in. Will never use in future very poor practice.

I'd recommend Stuart and Gwynedd Dog Walking 100%. Our little terrier, Lizzie, is pretty timid with strangers, but she took to Stuart immediately. Stuart was always prompt and did exactly as agreed. Excellent service and value for money. I will always use Stuart's service and would happily recommend him to anyone.

I was nervous about leaving our rescue dog for the first time but Stuart was great. He texted me to say Rocky had settled and was happy with the other dogs. They went on lots of walks both on the beaches and in the woods. Would highly recommend Stuart.

Excellent service provided by Stuart, reliable and brilliant with our chocolate Labrador dog Oliver, we run a busy B&B so occasional long walks with Stuart are a huge help also when we go on holiday we are more than happy that Oliver will be well looked after and cared for. Stuart took care of my very timid 16 yr old boarder collie, who has canine dementia. yesterday, I was very confident Stuart was excellent and allowed her time to meet his dogs and other looked after doggie guests, excellent gold standard service . I think she really enjoyed herself and certainly was very safe, highly recommend Rosie says thankyou

Excellent dog care. We leave our dogs with Stuart for occasional daily dog care and also when we go away on holiday. The dogs are very happy there, they get long walks and lots of TLC. We are very lucky to have Gwynedd Dog Walking close by.

Incredible pet snacks in this shop and the owners are so friendly and welcoming to all dogs. My dog goes in there by herself now! What I love are the natural chews. Processed treats are a thing of the past for us now. It's natural all the way. Camel skin, dried tripe, beef trachea, rabbit ears, chicken feet, dehydrated liver just to name a few. My lab loves them all!

A nice pet shop with lots of natural treats and chews for your hound. Welcoming and helpful staff. They had some treats we hadn't seen before, such as camel chews, so our dog will be able to try new things.

Ted, a naturally very scruffy wuffy loves his regular and necessary groom at Woof'n'Roll - and he is fussy! Matt has a patient and reassuring manner which is very calming and we are always very pleased with the results. And the shop itself is a treasure trove of pet related equipment and treats.

What a fantastic service. We are on holiday and found a tick next to our dog’s eye. We were unsure what to do so have Matt a ring and he came in specifically to help us out with our very nervous border terrier. His shop is full of natural products for animals and an eye opener. What a little gem of a shop. . We cannot thank him and his staff enough.

Came to grab a coat for my dog as we only brought one with us and it’s been very wet all weekend. Amazing selection even though it’s small. So many dog food options, natural treats, clothes, leads collars! Well worth a visit :)

Such a lovely shop, I visited here on my holiday to purchase some treats for my three dogs and it was a great experience! The new owners are very very lovely and the shop is so cute and set up very pleasingly. Check this shop out if you have the chance! Theirs also a section of hand made items at the back of the shop which were very lovely!

Absolutely fantastic and very experienced trainers. I have attended training classes with Derek and some of their amazing courses including the K9 assault course and scent course with my beagle who thoroughly enjoyed both. Both Sue and Derek have a huge wealth of knowledge in both dog training and behavioural work and have helped me to understand my dog's behaviour and help him overcome some serious anxiety issues that were having a huge impact on us both and he is a now a very relaxed and happy boy. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a professionally trained and qualified dog trainer who use reward based training methods to achieve the best from your dog and help to build a great relationship between dog and owner

An excellent, professional centre, with a wide range of services from boarding kennels to solving behavioural problems. With years of experience and knowledge Sue and Derek are without doubt the best at what they do! Fantastic centre with experienced, knowledgeable behaviourists. My dog used to be a sheep chaser, taking her out anywhere in the countryside was so stressful, we couldn’t let her off the lead at all. Sue and Derek’s training helped her become the responsive and well behaved dog she is today. I can’t thank them enough. They have potentially saved her life.

Sue and Derek were recommended to me and are fantastic at what they do, very knowledgeable trainers . I have attended 1-1 group classes and the fun day courses at the centre with my very large boisterous GSD. I found the advice they gave the methods used and the support offered both during and after the sessions fantastic. I now have a dog that listens and responds to me . While on holiday in Criccieth.with our 7 month old car chasing , slightly aggressive border collie we had a brilliant session with Derek. His advice was invaluable. 2 months on, she’s a different dog and I now thoroughly enjoy walking my border collie. Thank you

I cannot thank Mr and Mrs Williams enough. Thanks to their skill and knowledge they have helped me to achieve huge results with my fear aggressive dog. The training classes are really enjoyable. I have learnt so much and have a happy well trained pet. From my experience, I would highly recommend the Canine Centre (I think my boy would second that).

We took our dog here to help us understand a few behaviour problems we are having, Derek did an assessment and showed us how to help our dog and ourselves manage the problem in the right manner to give us and our dog a better life. After reading reviews we booked our dog into day care here while we visited Portmeirion We arrived to find every kennel full & dogs barking frantically. Our dog was led to a purpose built kennel with a hatch to go outside to a penned area. Both areas were full of dog mess. I was told that they hadn’t had time to clean it. The whole place was unkempt. We collected our pooch early to find all dogs still barking & our dog still caged, no exercise & no interaction with humans or other dogs. Awful place. I wish there was an option for no stars. Avoid!!!!

We’ve used Ailsa’s Creature Comforts service for quite a number of years and have been so happy with the care provided. Both our last boxer dog, Alf, and our latest boy, Percy have loved their little holidays with Creature Comforts which, in turn, makes our holidays more relaxing knowing we don’t need to worry about them. Highly recommend!

We have used the services of Ailsa at Creature Comforts on several occasions short and long stays for our two dogs and they are so happy. We were so overjoyed to find this wonderful home boarding business as we had found it difficult to find anywhere apart from kennels which our boys hate. Alisa is so kind, caring, accommodating and calm and looks after our boys as if they were her own! What more could you want for your beloved pets, we wouldn’t use anyone else, Creature comforts gives you peace of mind knowing they will be well cared for allowing you to relax while your away. We always return to happy healthy dogs which to us is priceless.

Ailsa and Andy have provided first class care for our 2 spaniels and a crazy terrier! We go away regularly and sometimes for fairly long periods, and our pups are always well looked after and happy - little terrier LOVES being with the other residents! This is a Godsend for anyone looking for the personal touch for their precious dogs.

When we first moved to Wales I was worried that we wont find a 'kennel-free' option for our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rocky, when we have to visit family in South Africa. But finding Creature Comforts came as such a relief! Ailsa has now looked after Rocky twice - both short and long stay and I would use her again and again. She has a lovely friendly demeanor which immediately puts any pet at ease. Rocky loved his stay with her as she treated him like he was part of the family - the same way we treat him at home. He was taken on numerous walks and was allowed to roam free,in the same way we do on our walks at home. I am very very happy with Ailsa's service as she takes the time to get to know each dog individually and cares for their personal individual needs as a result. This is great, as no dog is the same. We were away from our beloved Rocky for 4 weeks and I did not worry once as I knew he was in the best hands possible. Will recommend Creature Comforts any day! Definitely using their service again.

I will only use Creature Comforts to board my dog. It means that I can go away without any worries, assured that she is being properly cared for. Ailsa has also always been very flexible with both short and long stays which has helped me organise anything from a weekend away to a 3 week break. Highly recommended and much better value than kennels.

I have used creature comforts a couple of times now and have My Dog Tess booked in again in October. I would recommend ailsa I have no worries leaving Tess with her I know she is being well looked after Tess wasn’t sure the first time she went but was happy when I picked her up Second time she went she Was happy to see ailsa and just jumped straight into her car as if to say bye mum I’m off lol.i would recommend ailsa without hesitation and Tess as found her Second home i wouldn’t send her anywhere else thank you so much ailsa for looking after my baby.😊

We have used creature comforts now for around 7 years and I will not go anywhere else . From the moment you meet Ailsa and her family then you know your dogs are in good hands and you can then enjoy your break or holiday without a care . My 2 dogs actually cant wait to get out of the car when we arrive as they love being there . I genuinely feel as the dogs feel it's a home from home and the value of that is immeasurable

You know when you can tell you've found someone special, that's how I feel about Donna and Julie at Canine and Co! 🥰 I searched for ages for a boarders for my two 4-legged babies. At 7 and 4 years old they had never been to a boarder before. However after some tough life events, I was ready for a special holiday with my nearest and dearest. I was very fussy when looking for a boarder because my dogs are so special to me, they are family and I wanted them to be looked after just like they are at home. Donna could not have been more helpful right from the start of the process. She replied quickly, got in touch to check how trial nights / stays had gone and genuinely cared about us. She is amazing! 🫶🫶🫶 My dogs stayed 7 nights with Julie and from the moment we were put in touch, I had good feeling things might work out. Julie was just like Donna - quick to respond and suggested a meet up which I was happy about. Meeting Julie, I was very happy, I found a like minded soul who is besotted with dogs like me. Julie suggested a trial afternoon followed by a trail night. Both went well despite my 7 year old being a timid girl and never staying anywhere before, Julie was patient with her and made her comfortable 💕 We did another trial night before the 7 night stay and that really helped my girl. Julie you are an angel and I'm so grateful to you for all the love and care you gave my dogs ❤️❤️ Thank you Donna and thank you Julie, keep doing what you're doing, thanks to you both I had a much needed holiday and was happy in the knowledge my babies were in safe hands 💞💞💞

Paul and Donz are fantastic hosts. They care for your pooch like they are their own. I could not recommend them enough!

Our dogs stayed again with Donna and paul (3rd time) doggy day care while we had a couple of days zip wiring, Elvis, Percy,Louie have the best time and even had percy (the only doggy that would rather sleep all day on sofa) running and even jumping over fences. This is the best doggy care we have found and would just come to North wales so they could stay there again, I've told all my friends about them and if I could we would double the 5 * , Elvis and percy and louie send lots of woofs

Jac our Labrador has just been to stay with Claire and her little bundle of fun Max. This holiday was the longest Jac has been away from us, a whole 10 days!! We had the greatest time which I must admit was helped by the little photos and videos of Jac living his best life, we could see he was having so much fun and made a real friend in Max. Claire treated Jac to some brilliant adventures with a variety of different walks and allowing him to mix with other dogs. He even went to a birthday party of 2 of his new friends whilst on his holidays. Claire made a real effort to get to know Jac and treated him with equally as much love and care as she does her own dog Max and embraced their new found friendship and gave him the best holiday. The amazing photos we received of Jacs holiday will form part of our holiday photo album as Jac clearly had an amazing holiday too. Thank you Donna and especially Claire and Max. X

We have just been away in Cyprus for 10 days,we have a very nervous and needy cockapoo puppy who we know would never cope being put in kennels,we have just had the most fabulous lovely lady called shelagh look after him for 10 days in her home,we were put in touch with shelagh through another amazing lady called donna who runs canine & co home boarding,without the absolute care and kindness and having the time and passion shelagh put into looking after bailey our puppy it is extremely unlikely we would of been able to go away on holiday,we have already booked him in with mommy shelagh for next year😊,so a massive thank you shelagh and donna❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely great service from canine & co this week, especially as I contacted them so last minute to try to find boarding for a few hours on a Saturday. Shelagh who looked after our dog was so lovely and he had a lovely time at her house.

Excellent transport and assistance provided by Michael for my first ever dog! He drove from Sheffield to Canterbury, stopping off at two service stations so my dog could exercise and make some mess! The car used was very smart and comfortable.

I have had the most amazing trip to pick my puppy stray up from Zante and drive all the way back to Yorkshire. My driver/courier, Norman was fantastic. The whole process went smoothly, safely and was a trip of a lifetime. They organised every last detail to ensure the dog and myself were comfortable and well looked after. Highly recommend this fantastic company. Expensive but SO well worth it. Thank you.

I travelled with my dog from Sweden to Wales. They were very professional and organised and even remembered our names when we would call. No issues with booking etc. Were given plenty of information and contacted by the driver days before which was reassuring. He arrived in a branded van and clothes which reassured me (I am a young woman) and was very professional throughout. The van was clean and well equipped for transporting my dog and we took regular breaks around every 4 hours. Well worth the money and would definitely use c four paws again. Thanks/Diolch!

We had Milo collect from London on Sunday with two cages and a carry cage and lots of toys. Milo was perfectly happy and items were in good order. Collected on time and delivered on time. Excellent service and driver was very nice. Highly recommended for animal transport. Will definitely use again if the need arises. Good job thank you

Calagran Four Paws and my driver Will were absolutely amazing at handling our cross country transport for a long distance move. Having a rather large Staffy x Old Tyme, who had sadly had to be exempted due to her size, I was even terrified to take her on the road in anything other than proper transport. And with it being such a long way I wanted a safe long distance option also for all round safety and comfort. Our needs were catered for with the upmost care and Will was absolutely amazing with my nervousness and with my lovely girls nervy nature. I couldn't have been happier and I plan to travel with them again. I can highly recommend them.

I highly recommend this company. I just endured an incredibly stressful and long importation process into Europe and finally into the UK with my 3 med/large breed dogs. CFourPaws went above and beyond to help me logistically with things they really didn't have to and was outside of their services. Provided much needed emotional support and were empathetic to my unforeseen financial costs. Really without people like Keith and Greig, I may have crumbled under the stress of it all. In a medical emergency you were the first kennels we found after literally 100's of phone calls with spare capacity to take Casper while his mum had an emergency operation to remove a brain tumour. The 10x photo's you sent us showing him happy & thoroughly enjoying a run in the secure field were a huge relief to his dad & a massive boost to his mum's immediate recovery.

We recently used C Four Paws to transport our dog Adi from Glasgow to Heathrow for her trip home to Canada. David was a very kind and professional driver and got us to the Kennel at Heathrow on time in spite of some unavoidable traffic delays along the way. We’re back home with Adeline safe and sound and are very grateful for having used the services of your company and David for the first leg of our trip.

An absolute lifesaver when it came to transporting me and my cats from Dublin to Somerset. There was fantastic communication the entire time during the booking process and our driver Clive was incredible!
