We just finished the premiere puppy program, and it was wonderful!! Beverly is a fantastic trainer and really took the time to make sure I understood what I needed to do for our puppy! I couldn't recommend her enough!!

I use The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care For training and dog walking. We've had a great experience with training. Beverly has met us where we are at and provided helpful tips and feedback. She’s flexible with scheduling and has great follow up. I’m most impressed with my dog walkers! my dogs get walked 2x a day 3x a week! The photos provided always show them happy or out exploring! I love hearing about their new animal encounters and antics they get into. Scheduling is easy and report cards provided. I specifically would like to express my gratitude for the care provided during the recent tropical storms. Instead of canceling when there was a flood warning and intermittent tornado warnings. They still came and looked after my dogs. The service they provide is top-notch and they go above and beyond. Thank you!

We LOVE the team at “The Well-Trained Dog and Pet Care.” We worked with them to train our puppy in 2019 and have had them pet sit for us for the past 5 years. They are so reliable and you can book/pay online!

I can not say enough positive things about Beverly and her help with my new dog! She is patient and explains things to you to help you understand your dog better. Because of her, I was able to teach my boy with a better understanding of his ways. Bev comes to your home environment, which is the best way to teach. She came with us on our trail walk and even met us at Home Depot to guide us through meeting people. I highly recommend the Well-Trained Dog!

I especially want to praise Julie for the relationship she built with my dog over the weeks. I’m a travel nurse, so we all knew unfortunately the dog walks for Izzy would come to an end. It was sad for all of us. I could clearly see how much Izzy loved Julie and it was truly heart warming to see someone care for my dog and love her the way I do. She was great!

We have an Australian Shepherd. He is a little over 6 months old. He was a wild puppy. Then we found Beverly from The Well Trained Dog. She was wonderful and told us a lot about his breed that we didn’t know. He now sits, comes when called, gives you five, shakes and lays down. I can’t believe how far he has come. Our trainer Beverly is very dependable, and really works well with our dog. She also let us borrow a few games and training gear. Would highly recommend.

Maverick and I learned so much during his puppy training with Beverly . Not only did we learn basic skills, sit, off ,down and beginning leash walking but about how important rest time is for young pups. We also learned about puzzles and snuffle mats to stimulate Mavericks brain. Overall a fantastic experience for Maverick and I

Had to leave our pup for a week while we had to travel. Our pup loved the staff. They loved her. I felt so comfortable leaving her. She also had playcare a couple of days. Worked out great because we didn't have time to play with her while we were getting ready for our trip. They are very affordable as well.

The staff is absolutely AMAZING! Vanessa has so much knowledge regarding animals! Clean, organized facility. Everyone I've had the pleasure of dealing with has been awesome. They even have a pool day for the pups during warm weather. They monitor the dogs, and the owner is extremely professional and transparent! Great for long-term boarding or just for the day and reasonably priced. My baby dogs are always happy when we get in the car bc they know we're headed to City Dogs and they're always happy when I pick them up!

We had a wonderful experience here! We had to leave town for a few days and our typically go to was full. The staff were friendly right from the start! We were happy to learn when we checked our dog in that they offer swimming every day as an add on. Our dog LOVES swimming, so it was a no brainer. She was happy and tired from a fun stay when we picked her up :)

My dog Chloe (an Airedale) loves City Dogs, and so do I. You can tell that the people there love dogs and care about providing a nice home away from home. Highly recommend!

Great place. My 2 dogs came home happy and tired from playing all weekend while boarding. Anyone complaining about the smell of urine needs to just stop. It is a dog boarding facility with a lot of dogs, what do you expect? Love you guys and will always come back. Thanks again for all that you do.

I had high hopes for this location and will never board my dogs here again. I've board twice in the last 30 days and each time, when you walk in it's hot and musty. They have lots of fans going and that doesn't even help. But when I get my dogs they are dirty and smell of urine. This time my dog came home with a double eye infection. Very disappointing.

I have been using city dogs for years and I always liked it because it has always been easy to drop my dog off for boarding, however, I left him there for one day this weekend and he came back after just being groomed smelling like feces. It was one day. I can’t imagine what they do to him if this is the condition he is in when he’s returned. I had to come home and give him a bath today after he was just groomed because of this place so unfortunately now we will not be using city dogs again. If you can’t even keep your facility clean and not smelling disgusting then I can’t imagine that my dog is taken care of very well.

I think (and our two dogs -- adult black lab + mini golden doodle puppy think) place is fine, and manager Kevin knowledgeable and highly-accommodating (for us, airline schedule). We knew going-in that CD is large, with plenty of dogs, is noisy (bark! bark!), smells like dog, and all with plenty of run-around playtime (in designated groups). Their approach is not just to stick their dog-guests into crates (even pristine ones), and then only take them out briefly three times a day. So...if that's what your dog is used to, then this probably is not the place for you (or the dog). Truth be told, our older one likes things a little quieter than the highly-energetic pup, so i asked that she be "excused" from too much free time romping. Both came-back after six days in good shape, with bath final afternoon (recommended). Would use again.

Caring, attentive staff. Learned our dogs names on the first visit and remembered them months later. When the dogs need boarding, I feel relieved knowing how well they are cared for here...even the antisocial dog behaves herself here. The grooming is priced well and they do a great job. Recommend 10/10

Having super early hours at the hospital, this is one of the few playcare places that is open before 7 am which is fantastic. I really appreciate the flexibility of pick up/drop off and my dog always seems super excited when we pull up. My two little small notes are that my dog always comes home smelling like dog pee/the facility smells like dog pee. I totally understand that there is a lot of dogs they are taking care of and they try to clean everything as best as possible, but I would just adjust expectations. The other small note, is that there are no cameras/updates during the day so it's hard to know if my dog has been playing outside all day or has been trapped in a kennel or what not. This is still my first spot I go to for playcare, just has some potential for minor improvements.

I’ve taken my dog here for six years. They’ve always been friendly and accommodating even when my travels get wonky! Our dog clearly loves the staff, too. We can’t ask for more!

I am a newly transplanted resident of Va. from Pennsylvania. So I needed to obtain services for my furry family that would be professional and affordable. I'd scheduled a cruise and needed caretakers for my 2 cats. After research and recommendations I chose Carvins Cove Bed & Biscuit. They informed me during a visitation before boarding,that they are moving and remodeling the cat boarding area which in my opinion was already sufficient. They stated a change of location was warranted because they had noticed the felines being uncomfortable near the cacophany of the canines boarding area. The consideration of the boarders comfort convinced me of their empathy of the pets. During the cruise, narratives and pictures were texted to me that assured me of the well being of my cats. I cannot begin to describe how they went out of their way to make their lengthy stay more than tolerable. After a 12 day stay, I picked up my cats and observed that they were in great condition and good spirits. As a matter of fact, when they'd arrived home, they appeared to be searching for and missing Emily. I'm elated that CCB&B will be the home away from home when needed. Thankyou Blair, Emily and staff!

They did a great job taking care of our dogs, even during a storm when they didn’t have power.

Highly recommend! This is the only place I’ve ever left my Bloodhound! It’s a beautiful place and the owners are friendly. My pup got car sick on the way in and they helped me with cleaning supplies to clean my Jeep. When I took her back she was very excited to go in which reassured that she’d had a great experience before! Great place!

We had to board our nervous 8 month old German Shepherd for the weekend. The young man working made friends with her. We appreciate the extra effort he took to make her comfortable. Great place to go if you need to board your fur baby.

I would recommend touring the place before picking it. I'm not saying anything bad about the place. I would call to check on my dogs & had to wait until they called me back. But both dogs came home fine. I think if I had toured it I would've felt more comfortable. The owner just didn't make you feel very welcome.

Easy to work with and quick to respond. They had my black lab for around two weeks while I was traveling internationally and they gave multiple updates without being asked to. My dog was in excellent shape when I returned.

Pet Pals just took care of our cat and our rabbit and they did a phenomenal job! They communicate every time they come with pictures and updates. The animals took to them right away on their initial visit to meet them. The app that they use was great for seeing the detailed instructions for care that they use, texting us updates and photos and paying. We will definitely be using them in the future!

Pet Pals took the most incredible care of our dog! They cared for our pup during ten vacations that we took over the years, and we could always rely on them to be professional, reliable, and kind. We loved how they spoiled our pup! We joked that our dog liked it when we took vacations because he loved seeing Kelly from Pet Pals so much. I recommend Pet Pals to all my friends (and several have taken me up on it and become repeat clients themselves). Hands down the best pet sitting we have ever experienced! You’ll also love the updates that they send in the app — it provides great peace of mind to see photos of your pet and hear about their visits while you’re out of town.

Be sure to read the negative reviews. I would question the "report card" received after each visit. My dog was not being encouraged to play and interact with other dogs. A manager told me they could try some things like throw the ball (this was after her 7th visit). I question why they had not already done this. Surely they get shy dogs in there. She came home full of energy and not the least bit tired. Each day, however, her report card she had done fine. It's my impression the only time they engage with the animals is to get the get pics for Facebook. My dog was never in the pictures. When I called back to question the "manager" was rude and talked over me and would not listen to my concerns. She became immediately defensive and argumentative. I explained that I'd like a refund of the remaining two or three visits. Remains to be seen if that will occur. The manager knew exactly how many positive reviews had been received. I do not recommend this establishment.

We love Canine Cottage. My dog goes to daycare . He also gets groomed there. Its very convenient to have grooming at the daycare. The owners and staff are amazing. I can tell they love their jobs. I am so happy that my dog has a safe place to play while I work or run errands.

My heart has become extremely full since we found this wonderful place! This place has became my pups favorite place to go!! He gets just as happy to see the sweet (young girl with brown hair) day care worker, as he does when we walk through the door! She always calls him by name, so I can tell the feelings are mutual! I can let him stay there, and play all day while I go to work, or class and have complete peace of mind knowing that he is well taken care of! He gets fed, takes a nap(while they play soft puppy music), he gets to play outside on a play ground, he also has a progress report sent home to let us know who he played with, and how he behaved, and best of all they upload videos of your pup playing on Facebook! So not only is our pup having fun, but our friends and family message us saying "I saw Wilhelm playing hide and seek today online!" or "I saw the photo they posted of Wilhelm today!" So our family who loves Wilhelm are also getting in on the fun!

Hard Pass on this business. We decided to bring our dog here under the guise of having him boarded. They require 3 play dates to figure a dogs temperament. Which I suppose is fair, but to my knowledge the only place that does that. Upon initial visit the employee (Haleigh?)said our dog will probably fail because he was a little timid in the lobby. Our dog was friendly and accepted treats and had no issues then. When we picked him up she said he failed their “test” because he didn’t want to play and just kept to himself. No aggression, he’s almost elderly so it’s expected and haven’t had an issue with any previous dog care facilities we’ve been to. The employee said to bring him back tomorrow and “maybe” he will pass. The wording and tonality from the employee was extremely off putting and not a place we will recommend to friends.Assessing our dog in a new environment and expecting them to be comfortable is unrealistic. This seems to be a common occurrence per other reviews. Trust those. Aspen Grove would be my recommendation as they are very friendly and great with dogs even if they’re lower energy.

We are new to the area and were looking for a place to bring our two dogs who are used to group play for daycare. We went to trial days for a few places and toured some others, but couldn't find the right fit. Canine Cottage wasn't on our initial list. When I ran another search on Google, it popped up! I loved the information on the website and how thorough the intake form was. We brought them for a trial day and I could tell the woman had read the information for them carefully and was ready to work with them on their first day. She informed me they have small groups and can give breaks in between play which suits my dogs' personalities. We have brought them several times and each time the staff are all so wonderful! They get report cards at the end of each day with their BFF for the day listed which is adorable. The pups come home happy and tired. Highly recommend Canine Cottage!

Edited: Unfortunately, they require a vaccine that is expensive and hard to find.. I think for kennel cough..so sadly, we had to admit, it was beyond our means. Curry had his first visit last week and I really appreciate their evaluation. Lots of feedback and they obviously care deeply about their pet guests. The whole operation was thorough and we feel good to know he has a safe place to go when we travel. Thanks, Canine Cottage

Me & my family visited Roanoke for a convention this weekend & due to a booking error with our air bnb, we found ourselves needing daycare services at the last minute for our dog. Jason & his wife were so kind & accommodating & took excellent care of our fur-baby. I would absolutely recommend Canine Cottage to anyone in the Roanoke area! 10/10 DEFINITELY recommend!

Our boys Goose and Scooter absolutely love Canine Cottage. They're both very energetic so it's great to have somewhere so close to home where they can socialize with other dogs and get their energy out while we're working. The staff are all super nice and do an awesome job with the boys. I also really appreciate that they have actual dog trainers; our boys are...a handful, and they've helped a LOT. We haven't used their other services besides daycare, but I'm willing to bet they do a great job with those too. Overall I'm very happy with Canine Cottage and would highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Canine Cottage Salem if you are looking for daycare, boarding or grooming! We started coming in September and my dog absolutely loves it. He gets his energy out, gets to socialize and has so much fun. The staff is always super friendly and they take great care of him while he is there.

Summer did an amazing job grooming our new puppy, Calli! We were nervous about who to trust and wanted to make sure future grooming weren’t miserable for her/us since this was her first grooming, but we all had an amazing experience! She looked amazing just in time for traveling and Christmas. Booking (especially to be right before the holidays) was so simple and convenient. Calli will definitely be back and we will definitely be recommending Canine Cottage Salem to friends and family.

Maizy has the best time at Canine Cottage in Salem. She is exhausted from playing all day. Such a great way to socialize dogs. The staff is pretty terrific too!!

My dog has been coming here for daycare since the beginning of the year and absolutely loves it. The staff is great and very attentive, we love how they post daily pictures of the dogs playing outside. My dog also sees Summer for grooming and she is amazing too! Highly recommend

Canine Cottage has always been a great place for us to board our Great Dane, but when the new owners took over in 2024 it has improved even more! We felt so comfortable with leaving our pup. They were so accommodating to our dog and us! Our pup is about 140 pounds and can be a handful, but they handled him with ease and made him and us feel very comfortable! You will not be disappointed when using their services.

The new owners are amazing. They go above and beyond to meet each dogs personal needs. I was extremely pleased with Summer who groomed our dog. Upon arriving, the facility is very well kept and clean. We were greeted by the owners who welcomed my hyper boy with a treat and some good belly rubs. We will continue to use Canine Cottage for all of grooming and boarding needs. Highly recommend.

Summer did SOOO GOOD on my dog. I’ve never been happy with his haircuts when he comes back from the groomer and i was so amazed today. She took really good care of him and was really nice! Will definitely be my new spot to take him! Thank you so much!

Rebecca and Corey are two amazing owners. From the moment I walked in, I felt comforted by talking to them about my dogs and previous situations at another facility. After scheduling a trial daycare day, they loved my fur babies as well. I felt totally at ease, leaving my 2 girls for a week, to be boarded in their care. I would highly recommend! 12 out of 10!

This grooming facility is GREAT and Summer English is awesome! She treats the dogs like they're her own. She is FANTASTIC!!!

We took our 8 month old rescued male Shih Tzu for grooming. The staff was kind, and attentive to our concerns with our Eolas. The cut was excellent. I recommend taking your fur babies to Canine Cottage.

I see my first review from awhile back was somehow removed. Don’t worry, I’m back to reaffirm my stance — do NOT take your dog here! Plain and simple. I took my sweet Yorkie puppy for her first haircut here; dropped her off and she was happy and normal. Picked her up and immediately knew something was wrong. Very lethargic, and as I got home and she looked up at me I could see her eyes were bloodshot! I cannot imagine the kind of stress they put her through. I immediately called and got a run around of “puppies can overreact and exhaust themselves” and wouldn’t provide any additional information. Yeah. Sure. I took her to another groomers in Salem and would’ve you know, I picked her up and she was happy and normal, full of energy and no bloodshot eyes. Save your time, money, and anger and make a better choice for your pets!

The staff are great. Days later, and my pup still smells good. Her nails look so nice, too! Thank you, Taj Mapaw and crew, for taking good care of us.

This place has done a rather amazing job but lately it seems to have fallen off really bad. I have two schnauzers that had an appt and when I went to pick them up, no call to do so, was told the groomer was sick that day and basically it was a good thing I came to check on the dogs The following week we took the dogs again to get groomed and I swear Ray Charles himself cut my one dog. I don’t have any idea what happened but it looks like my dog was cut with a flow bee(sp?) From the screens at the pickup counter the building seems to have a ton of space for the dogs but I cannot take my dog back after this latest debacle.

This is a very laid back and affordable place to board your dog or for dog day care. Indy has a blast every time he goes, and they are very flexible about last minute booking, which is very easy to do on their website. I just boarded him over Thanksgiving because I had to work, and he is now in deep slumber on the couch. Very much appreciate you guys!

Worst service ever, that South Indian employee was acting like he is the boss. Food is decent but the service was worst. If you want to run your business just fire that guy. I have never seen anyone that treated me like this

On March 16th we had a reservation to board our dogs and they were supposed to open up at 8:30 am, we arrived shortly after that time. Another customer came and was waiting as well. Although we were on a time crunch, we understand that folks run behind sometimes and weren't going to make an issue of it. The other customer called Tyler directly to determine when he would be there, and his response to her was "I'll get there when I can." When he arrived he was yelling and cursing at his dog so badly that he scared the other's owner dog - the dog ran and jumped in my vehicle. As Tyler proceeded to unlock the door he started yelling "I hate this *ing place, and I hate this *ing job. Yall can come if you want to, I don't care." Everyone has bad days, but we were shocked by this behavior. Once we were in the facility, the other customer told Tyler that she would call in an hour to check on her dogs, and his response was "I might answer." All of this concerned us and made us leery of leaving our dogs, but we were already running late to get on the road for our trip reservation and didn't have much of a choice. The bedtime cameras worked fine the first night, but the second night they were offline. We called several times hoping to get someone else on the phone to explain what happened at drop-off and to check on our dogs. We also wanted to go over some care details that we did not have an opportunity to do when we dropped them off. No one ever answered the phone. On return to pick up our dogs, we asked Tyler how we could speak with the owner - he told us that the owner was in Florida, and there was no way for us to contact him, but through him. He also alleged that he would be the new owner in two months. I tried to explain to Tyler why we wanted to speak with the owner(s) and because it had to do with his actions and lack of customer service he became very defensive. When I realized we weren't getting anywhere or being heard, I told Tyler that he would hear from us again because I would be writing a review. His response was "No, I won't because you're not welcome here anymore." He went on to say "I don't take kindly to threats." Although I never threatened him in any way. We were trying to address the matter civilly, but he ultimately called the police to escort us out. I asked one of the employees what their association was with the company because I didn't know if it was one of the owners or not. Tyler then yelled at me "You are not interviewing my employees". He's correct, I wasn't... I simply wanted to speak with someone above him. We were trying to be heard and hoped he would take some accountability for his actions. We also wanted to ensure that he did not fabricate a story to the police about us threatening him. The police heard us out and said they understood. They explained Tyler did not have to give us the owner's information, but we should be able to find it online. He also said the best we could do was write a review, as we stated. We left peacefully but disappointed that a business can get paid while treating customers this way. You can judge for yourself based on our experience if this is somewhere you want to take your dog.

This is just a review of my experience based on one day. I was referred by a friend and was actually checking them out for possible boarding, so I decided to get my dog groomed. She had been groomed at a different salon before and scored a 10 /10 on cooperation and no problems at all and that was a great experience. Seeing as how I was checking out a facility for boarding, I took her to Taj Mapaw for this grooming. To start, I went a day in advance to book an appointment. The receptionist at the desk was very helpful and got us in the next day. I was told to arrive at 7am and she would be done by 3. When I showed up the next morning, no one was there and eventually, 5 other people showed up, all for doggy day care. One woman said she had to knock several times the day before before anyone came to the door. I suggested someone call the owner and they did and we still waited. The guy showed up around 7:10 with several people now waiting to drop their dogs. I went in to fill paperwork out and they told me she would be ready by 3. I showed up at 2:58 and the guy told me "Oh, you need to come back at 3 and she will be ready." To which I replied, "It's 2:58." He seemed surprised and said "Oh, really, wow, well she is next in the tub. Come back in an hour." I am thinking to myself that she had been there since 7am and they are just now getting to her, this seems odd as she had been there for 7 hours. It definitely takes more than an hour to groom a dog. So I decide (even though my gut told me to just take her then), to come back at 4. When I arrived, she had just come back up, but she was wet and smelled like wet dog, her nails had not been done,(which was part of the grooming), and she seemed a bit off. I was not happy but I shook it off as maybe just a bad day for them. HOwever, upon getting home, it was apparent something was not right. My normally happy dog went to a corner and layed down, ears back looking like she had been scolded or treated poorly. I don't know what happened as I was not there but I will not be taking her back. She wasn't properly brushed or groomed and the staff seemed a bit incompetent and unprofessional. I certainly am not one to write bad reviews and try to give the benefit of the doubt, but this establishment seems to be run by very young people who do not hold themselves to a professional level in my opinion. I would not trust leaving my dog here or taking her there for grooming again. Now I have to take her again to another place so she can get the proper care and grooming she needs. Again, maybe it was an off day for them, but from the beginning, when I dropped her off, I was not impressed with how the business was run. Now I am out my grooming fee and have to spend more money. I really wish it had worked out.

Take your dogs to City Dogs instead! Avoid this place at all costs! I have no idea how they manage to have any clientele at all, no matter what time or how often you call, they will not answer the phone or return messages. I was charged over $220 for a reservation that they would not confirm, then lied to me about refunding it. The owner lives in FLORIDA and apparently has no concern for how their business is ran. What if I had dropped my dogs off and needed to get a hold of them but couldn't because they have absolutely no customer service or business sense? SHAME ON THIS COMPANY! THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES AND SCAMMERS! YOUR PETS DESERVE BETTER! Edit to respond to owner: I actually called twice on March 11th and 19 times on March 12th before the start of the reservation, and once more on March 12th after the drop off time. All of these calls were made during the posted business hours. Not a single call was answered or returned, even considering I left messages on both days. When I called again on the 15th and FINALLY got someone on the phone, they told me they would have the charge refunded to my card and that I should see it in a couple weeks. That was never honored. You are now telling me about a "store credit policy" that is posted on your door, but I have never been to your place of business (and never will be), so it is unreasonable for people to expect to know that is that case - especially when they have been told to expect a full refund. Had someone actually answered the phone one of the 22 times that i called prior to the reservation, i would gladly have followed the "cancelation procedure". I did not bring my dogs there because I do not have faith in a business that does not have time for customers. If you don't have the time to respond to a message or answer the phone to confirm my booking, you do not have the time to take care of my animals, plain and simple. If you are too overwhelmed with the animals to answer messages, you need to either hire more help or take fewer clients. Makes one question whether they are really getting the care and attention that people expect.

My dog loves going here! The staff know her by name and she goes once a week for doggie day care. There is ample space for the dogs to run and play including a pool in the summer!

The staff here is fantastic and they treated my little dude with the kind of love and respect that only comes from true dog lovers. They took great notes about his time with them and were able to give me a lot of insight about his behavior with other dogs. Bravo, Taj Mapaw! Thanks for being awesome!

First time taking my dog here, Jack should’ve knew it was a red flag 🚩 when they want you to sign a form. she cut my dogs on his chest. 🥹😱😡 The haircut is a lot shorter than what I asked for also, his hair is uneven and a bald spot on his ear. she claims that he had it there before. My dog never had a bald spot on his ear. She told my husband, he was very good when she groomed him. Never coming here again please be aware of this place. ⛔️ 🛑 ❌

When our previous dog got older and needed extra care when we were away, we trusted About Pets Center with her needs. We now have a new dog (a puppy). We knew from day one we would take him to About Pets Center. Because our new dog is from a social breed, we take him at least twice a week for daycare so he can see his dog friends! We have had him groomed there, and we aim to have his nails done monthly (they come out smooth and rounded unlike the jagged splits that the vet produced!). The owners will help educate you on every aspect they can about your dog (a puppy is new to us!). Our dog loves to visit and shakes with excitement on our way through the door. He loves About Pets Center!

I board my fur baby here whenever we go out of town as they are always willing to accommodate my needs if they have the space. They take excellent care of him. Normally he doesn’t want go with strangers but he walked right off with the owner down the hallway so calmly and acted like he was right at home and didn’t even bark at him. That made me feel at ease as I knew he was in good hands.

I appreciate the expert care of my my Lukey, my old, diabetic Yorkie, at About Pets Center. Victoria, the owner is a Yorkie specialist and my Lukey's needs are met fully with precision and love by Victoria and her son Brian. The first time I took Lukey, Victoria told me that "he is very appreciative." The only way one can understand that is if they know their business.

Our dog got groomed here when she was a puppy. When our groomer from the last 8 years quit there was no question we wanted to take her back to about pet center. It's a little out of the way for us but worth it for a quality groomer!

My fur babies Stevie and Holly LOVE to go to About Pets Center. Victoria and Brian are always very professional and they are always accommodating in day care stays and when I go out of town for vacations and Stevie and Holly need care. I have taken Stevie, who is a Cockalier to Victoria since she was 3 months old. Victoria has groomed her beautifully for 5 1/2 years. Stevie loves Brian and to runs to him as soon as she sees him! Holly Noelle, is my Yorkie who is 2 1/2...she is a Radford Yorkie! She is gorgeous and loves to visit and be groomed by Victoria. She enjoys playing with the other Yorkies and has a great time. I highly recommend About Pets Center for safe professional care for your pets. I only trust Victoria and Brian to care for my babies. About Pets Center is the BEST in the Roanoke Valley!!!

I took one of my collies there June 15. She is ALWAYS excited to go. She is treated only slightly less well there than at home. The owner is very "hands-on", professional and expert. I have recommended them to many people and will gladly continue to do so. By the way, the pricing on grooming is comparable, if not better, than at the pet "super stores" in the area. I'm not surprised that I frequently meet pet owners there who have traveled hours just to get the services from About Pets.

Contacted “About Pets Center” about my aunts boarded animal. Explained to them about my emergency situation and the owner of the company “Victoria Radford” took care of us. I was able to pay over the telephone and Ms. Radford took care of my family. Thank you Ms. Radford for taking care of our family during this rough times.

Met Kirk in 2015 and he has become part of the family. He stopped by every week day and walked my 3 dogs and stayed with them while I was on vacation. My great dane became ill and Kirk helped with meds and feeding everyday during his daily visits. That is the only reason I was able to leave for work in the morning, knowing Kirk would care for him in the afternoon. I can not recommend this gentleman enough for the care and love he brings to all of your furry family members.

We and our two dogs love uncle Kirk. They are so happy and well adjusted when we come back home. Kirk is the best and really cares for our fur babies. Best dog sitter around.

Kirk was fantastic. From the initial meet and greet with my dog, Akira, he really bonded with her. My cats haven’t came out for sitters in the past and they accepted Kirk on his first visit. I was sent updates of them with pictures every day. I would highly recommend creature comfort to anyone!

We have used Debra's services many times for our standard poodle and our cat without incident, until this time... We left 2 days ago Monday and were 100 miles away. She lives about 2 miles from us. She expressed concern about the weather on Sunday (1 day before the trip) and asked if I had a backup plan in case of snow. I didn't and I did not feel comfortable leaving a key with my neighbor or asking them to come to take care of my pets. I told her no, I did not. She made the first visit at 4. It did snow and she sent me a pictures of her car under snow and texts from her friends about the roads. Between 830 and 9pm, she told me she wouldn't make it. I asked when she would make it and she said she would have to shovel 2 streets in the morning. She added that if I had given the neighbor a key, it wouldn't have happened. She added that " if I wreck my car trying to get there, I could lose my buisness" making it my problem and my responsibility. So we had a friend drive to her house ( with absolutely no problem with the snow) to pick up the key. She was talking to him about not having insurance for snow? My pets were abandoned. In order to be a buisness owner and fulfil that commitment, that owner needs reliable transportation and a backup plan. This was 1-2 inches and certainly not considered an extreme weather emergency. Potential customers need to be aware of this incident for the safety of their pets.

Looking for a great pet sitter last year for a 7 day vacation I came across Deborah. Leaving her with all my fur babies I was of course a little worried. But when I came home to happy healthy pets and a daily journal she had left on the table I knew she was a great pet sitter. This year I was able to fulfill a bucket list type vacation and once again called upon Deborah with great confidence. She again kept the fur babies fed and watered and loved. I left her them for 3 and 1/2 months and she went above and beyond. She did extras that most pet sitters won’t. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great pet sitting service.

Deborah is fabulous! I am a single pet mom who works odd hours, and my puppy has had a huge struggle with separation anxiety. Deborah is the only way I can manage my life! She works around my schedule and does absolutely what is best for my dog. She is trustworthy, stable, and great with my pup. You won't regret giving her a try.

We have used Deborah for daily walks and overnight pet sitting for a year-and-a-half. We would not trust our 3 dogs with anyone else. One is deaf, one is older with multiple medical problems, and the other is a rescue with behavioral quirks. She is reliable, flexible, and so wonderful with our dogs and their individual needs. I had a fairly last minute trip and just moved to VA a few weeks prior and didn't know anyone. Other pet sitters ignored me, but Ace fit me in even though it was a couple weeks before Christmas. She even sent pictures and videos of my cats and guinea pigs Christmas day and her last scheduled day as well, which I absolutely loved. Would definitely recommend!

Here is my updated review. We have been extremely happy with boarding our 45 lb dog. She is calm after being kenneled and did well with her first professional bath! She is happy to go every time and is making her first dog friends. When house sitters cancel and dog walkers are busy, Klub Kanine is there!

I have been taking my Golden Retriever here for daycare consistently for two months. He loves daycare and enjoys socializing and playing with his “friends”. The staff is friendly and cares about each dog. I highly recommend Klub Kanine and Barkley and Rover to anyone who works full-time and is considering daycare options in the Roanoke Valley.

We have been bringing Murphy here since he was approximately 6 months old. He started on the Klub Kanine side and they made him welcomed with open arms and loved. Fast forward to him presently at the age of two on the Barkley and Rover side. To say that my sweet boy is super excited to come to daycare everyday would be an understatement. The employees are so sweet and friendly. The genuinely seem to care about him and love to see him when he gets there every morning. Currently the daycare is going through some renovations and I am so very excited to see what changes will occur to benefit all the sweet pups. Klub K-9 kept my little weiner dog happy and healthy while we were on a week long vacation. They were extremely accommodating seeing as we had to book last minute due to our pet-sitter bailing out. I've never had to board my puppy before, but the employees were so very kind and made everything as smooth as possible for us and our fur-baby. Highly appreciated and Highly recommend! We will be booking him a stay there again in the very near future 😀 🙌 👍

Barkley and Rover is a great place. My dog has boarded there and also goes to play. She is hyper and not very open to anyone who is not me, but they have made huge strides getting her to come around, and she enjoys her time there and comes home completely exhausted. Kudos to the team at Barkley and Rover, they are kind, considerate and friendly to everyone. Its like taking my dog to a family member. The owners have amassed a great group of people! Thank you!!!!

We love taking our dog to get groomed here! Brittany has been so wonderful with our dog Luna. I always know that she will be completely taken care of and she is always so sweet with her. Always happy with her hair cut and they are great not to keep her too long which I love!

My Doberman just started coming here. These are the nicest, most professional people I've dealt with in a long time. It is obvious they care about all of the dogs. My dog is worn out when he gets home and is so happy and that's all that matters to me. Bravo to the owners / managers and to the staff for being top notch. I'm so glad I found this place.
