I’m very grateful to Deb Combs and her friend Craig for housesitting for me and looking after my two dogs for 3.5 weeks in September. They were excellent house-sitters and took the dog care very seriously. One of my dogs recently had an operation on her knee and Deb was in regular contact about her convalescence and took her to the vet when there was a problem. She walked the dogs twice a day and sent me regular photos of them- looking happy! She bought and cooked up some extra food for them and wouldn’t let me refund her. Sorry you had to do that Deb! The house was super clean and tidy when I returned and even the laundry was done. Deb broke one of my glasses and replaced it with a whole new set of very classy wine glasses. Thank you! She returned my car to me cleaned and with a full petrol tank. What a treat. She also took me to the airport and fetched me when I returned, which was very helpful. My garden was alive and blossoming. Deb kept it watered while I was away and it was a joy to return to it. So thanks to Deb and Craig- I hope you enjoyed your time in Cape Town and Id love to welcome you back in the future!

Jess and Zena did a great job watching our kitties! We have 7 inside cats and one feral cat outside who needed feeding so it is a big job to pet sit for us but they did great. We would definitely be happy to have them housesit again for us in the future with no hesitation. Highly recommend! Our kitties are used to us being home most of the time since we work at home, and it was nice they had that companionship (and oversight lol) with Jess here too. Jess was very communicative and kept us in the loop on how everything was going and was also able to handle everything on her own which gave us peace of mind. Communication beforehand and during her sit was easy. She thoughtfully replaced a couple of food staples they used while here, which she didn’t need to do. The house looked great when we came home, everything tidy and clean.

Susan was the most amazing house and pet sitter for our beloved poochie Benji. My fiancé and I were a little nervous as we had not used Zeewoi before our recent trip. Susan set our mind a ease with contact while we were away and sending updates with videos of Benji. She took on the instructions with his routine and executed to a tee. On our arrival home the apartment was as we left it, like no-one had been staying in the apartment at all. Jessica and Jeremy stayed at our house for 3 months while we were abroad. They treated their stay with true professionalism, asking great questions upfront, communicating clearly throughout the stay, and caring greatly for our pets and home. We felt totally at ease our whole trip. As it happens, both our house and our pets had a few issues— our clothes dryer bit the dust, and one of our cats started having regular hairballs— and Jessica and Jeremy were quick to communicate and work as a team with us to find solutions. When we returned home, everything was spotless and we were welcomed by freshly baked cookies and a lovely card. We could not have chosen better sitters, and they’ll be the first people we contact next time we travel!

Nicole and her daughter were a delight! Nicole sent updates throughout our vacation with pictures of our babies. When we got home the house was cleaner then what we left it. Andrew and Sylvia were wonderful. From the first moment we met them, we knew our little family were in good hands. Raven, a tough judge at times, took them very quickly. They were so kind and accomodating with our schedule. They took the dogs on daily adventures, and shared pictures and updates a couple times a day. When we came home the place was cleaner then when we left. They even left us a beautiful photograph. We would gladly welcome them back anytime.

Chrysinda and Scott were fabulous in every way. Chrysinda spent quality and loving time with my dog, Sam. Scott also made Sam feel comfortable and loved (but he worked full time so Chrysinda took the lead). Without being requested they sent updates and photos to stay in touch. They both spent much of their last day working to assuring my home was clean and tidy. I could not have asked for a better experience.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.

Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.

Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.

Jacob sat for us during our holiday in March. We do not have any pets but we do have garden plants etc to look after. Jacob did a fantastic job of looking after the young plants that had arrived by post the day before we went away. He sent us regular updates and photos of how the plants were doing. We came home to a very clean and tidy house and thriving plants. Jacob did a great job and we have no hesitation in recommending him. If he comes back to the Uk and we require a sitter we will contact him first. Well done Jacob.

If you’re lucky enough to find Anna as your pet sitter you will have peace of mind and well cared for pets whilst you are away and a clean and tidy home on your return. Anna is thoughtful and kind, she arrived the evening before the sit which allowed for some time to hear about her interesting travels and work, kept me updated with fabulous photos and details of the friendship she was making with the cats and even took the trouble to fix a sticky catch on the cat flap.
