Intrepid Introvert Looking To Explore and Make Furry Friends Along The Way
This was the second Giselle had sat for us. Just like the first time, everything was excellent and we are now in the possession of some very cute gifs of our Biggie Smalls. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Homeowners and ex hands-on landlords with extensive animal care experience.
Dianne and Tim are exactly the kind of sitters who make TH a trusted and reliable community that we can turn to time and again. They were highly communicative, friendly, capable. They took care of our 7 month old Nora for a few days and were so flexible with the needs and quirks of a young dog in training. Our dog fell in love with them quickly and the daily photos proved it. They were conscientious from start to finish with Nora and left our home in immaculate condition. We came home after a long day of travel to a clean home and happy dog which is everything. We are so very grateful to Dianne and Tim!

Mature, responsible pet lover loves to travel
This was the third year in a row James watched our pets. For the third year in a row, we came home to happy and cared for pets and a house that was left in great shape. We trust James; and it is a wonderful feeling. We have old pets. Our little dog is over 15 years old and has some special needs. James handles her like a loving pro. James is a go to person.

While it's nice to have someone at the house while the owners are away, the most important thing for pet owners is someone to care for their pets. If I could give Elvira 10 stars for loving my dog and giving her special attention, I would! Elvira also texted me with daily photos and comments about the "walkies" my dog enjoyed. Plus, Elvira took on the additional task of conveying my dog to the groomer, and afterwards dosing her with flea/tick medication and a heartworm pill. Elvira and my dog look forward to seeing each other again, probably next spring when Elvira thinks she'll be back in the area.

Experienced house sitter. 155 5 star reviews on Rover!!
Emily and Nate were great! They took care of our two senior pups for a week and a half and were total pros. Great communication, and our dogs clearly got very attentive care. They're welcome back anytime!

Kind, impeccable house/pet/property sitter for your home and pets.
Leslie did a great job taking care of our four cats, our house was neat and clean, and we received lots of pictures from her daily - we can't thank her enough! Aside from an alarm on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in my office (she has NO blame for this one - it failed while we were gone!), she was self-sufficient and took care of all out plants and paid great attention to the cats!

Mature couple ready to help.
Shelley is a dangerous and incompetent housesitter. She should never be entrusted with anything more valuable than a houseplant. Her pet care was terrible. On the 2nd day she left our 2 dogs outside in the backyard, unattended on a 83-degree hot, humid summer day with no water for 90 minutes while she left our home to go out for a walk. We saw this on our Ring camera and immediately reported this to zeewoi (full complaint currently under investigation) and let her know directly how concerning this was for us. Not only was it unsafe to leave the dogs outside while she left the home, but it also went against clear instructions that were communicated to her in person during the handover and in writing about what to do with the dogs anytime she left our home. She repeatedly had trouble following basic instructions that were communicated verbally, in writing and in text reminders. She was incapable of following basic pet care requirements. We asked that only one of our 2 dogs be walked once a day (I did not want her walking the other stronger dog, because during the handover we went on a walk together and Shelley DROPPED our dog's leash). We use Fi collars, so we know that over the course of 11 days, Shelley brought our dog for only 4 walks. We did a phone interview with Shelley and never did she inform us that our medium sized, 40 pound dogs would be too much for her to walk. Additionally, Shelley traveled with her sister who clearly is unwell (likely dementia or some sort of developmental disability) and also was afraid and nervous around dogs. She never informed us of this, and it was clearly a huge safety issue. Shelley's sister let our INDOOR cat out multiple times (at least 4 times are seen on outside cameras). Sometimes our cat was left outside for 20+ minutes without Shelley or her sister realizing. This is so, so dangerous- we are on a main street with a lot of traffic. We are lucky our cat didn't get lost or killed under her "care." Shelley and her sister left our home in a terrible, and honestly gross and unsanitary, condition. A paper bag with human feces was found in our bathroom and made the entire 2nd floor of the house stink for days. The rug in my office was covered with urine- which makes me wonder if she locked my dogs in this room for extended periods of time. Our dogs are fully house trained and have never had any potty accidents. The kitchen was filled with flies, milk had been spilled in the refrigerator and never cleaned up (a gross film had formed by the time we got home). The blender was put away in the cabinet unclean. The recycle bin was filled with dirty trash- so much so that we got a notice from the city. She carelessly used metal utensils and scratched our Le Creuset dutch oven (which will now void its lifetime guarantee). Three brand new bars of soap were taken from our home, like they were some sort of hotel amenity. Shelley went into our basement storage freezer (which she had NO need to access) and took home 3 gallon bags (about 20lbs) of frozen tomatoes I had harvested before our trip from our garden. When I addressed this with her, she claimed her sister packed them by accident (which, if true, & your sister is so unwell that she's packing things from someone's home that are NOT HERS, she should not be allowed to travel with you). However, I don't believe that's the case- 20 pounds of tomatoes aren't really something that just sneaks by your consciousness- it's A LOT of tomatoes. Shelley was offended I accused her of stealing, but that's what she did. She ultimately returned them, knowing full well she was in the wrong. I'm not sure what else she might have taken from our home, as I didn't think I needed to take an inventory of our belongings and supplies before we left. Ultimately the sit ended when our one of our dogs ate some of a marijuana plant in the backyard (she had never shown interest before and we did not know the plant- with no flowers on it- was dangerous). We do not blame Shelley for that (even though it was probably from a time the dogs were not adequately supervised in the backyard); having the plant where dogs could access was our mistake, and one that will never be made again. The part that is extremely concerning is that it took Shelley nearly 2 hours to get our dog to the emergency vet from discovering the first symptoms (she first texted me at 6:26pm that our dog was unwell and "having seizures" and did not leave for the hospital until 8:12pm). And I am certain she never called the zeewoi vet emergency line. She eventually reached out to my mother (our emergency contact while we were in Europe) and my mom told her to go to the vet ER immediately. Afterwards Shelley stated via message, "I cried, prayed & hugged her throughout the incident." So, instead of getting prompt medical care for our dog (emergency vet was clearly listed in our printed out home instructions), she prayed for her. Unhelpful, incompetent and incredibly dangerous. I'm not sure how she has previous good reviews. We were shocked by the incompetency and complete inability to understand and follow simple, clear directions- there are, sadly, many more examples I could include here. We are grateful our girls survived having her stay in our home. I would hope no one else ever has to deal with such a horror. To finish things off, disapproving of the legal marijuana plant in the backyard and probably of our rainbow flag displayed on the front of the house, Shelley texted "You need prayers. Find a Bible based church to go to and get healed. I pray for your soul."
Anant was a great sitter and a friendly guy. Kept me up to date re his arrival and with Marie & Toulouse during the sit. Found my house exactly as I had left it. Would highly recommend Anant to other pet parents.
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
BriAnna was our first pet sitter and we loved her :). She made every step very simple for us, communication was great, Pastis and Anubis seemed to be very happy with her, and the house was very clean when we came back. We highly recommend BriAnna to take care of your pets and we would love to have her back!
I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Samara proved to be an honest and responsible pet sitter and I would open my home to her at any time in the future.
Laura is incredible! For starters, she is a clear and considerate communicator who is reliable and trustworthy while setting up details for a sit in advance. From there... where do we start?! Laura (and her sister Stephanie, for a few days) took care of our cat & dog for a week-long sit. We were immediately at ease with both of them, and it was clear that they were excited to meet our pets and love them, and relaxed and comfortable in this role. They asked informed and curious questions about our pets, routines, and the surrounding area to set up a successful sit. When we departed, our dog hardly seemed to notice, because she was getting to know her new people! The snuggle-fest and hiking adventures that took place while we were gone resulted in happy pets who were calm and content. We received daily photos, which were heart warming, and assured us that dog hugs and cat exercise were taking place. Our dog is very affectionate, and Laura made sure that she received plenty of love while we were gone. Upon return, our home was spotless - tidy and clean (possibly cleaner than when we left, and we tried really hard!) We are games people, and Laura left us some of her favorite games to play (yay), and gifts for our pets, which were so fun to open when we got home. Everything was so thoughtful and kind. Laura is absolutely one of the top sitters we've ever had, and we are so grateful for her care. She went above and beyond basic home/pet care, and her compassion shines through in all of her communications and actions. She (and Stephanie) are welcome anytime, and we (Zora and Morris especially) hope they will come stay again!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Judith was one of the most considerate, trustworthy sitters we've ever had. We had to leave in a rush for a family emergency and really didn't have time to prepare the house as we usually do, but Judith took all in stride, leaving the apartment spotless. She sent photos of Baby Boo and Janet on arrival, putting us immediately at ease because it was so obvious the cats were completely comfortable, zero stress, allowing us to relax that they were in such good hands. She sent photos and video every day, which delighted us, confident that they were getting next level care. Judith would take care of anyone's home and pets with as much care as she did at ours, and we highly recommend. Hope she can come back!!
Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.
Amazing experience! Five stars all the way... Nikki was kind enough to watch our two cats Thomas and Toby while were away on our honeymoon. From the very beginning she made us feel comfortable with clear communication and quick replies. Since she was local in Atlanta we got to meet her ahead of time and hand off keys before we left. While we were away she sent pictures of our little buds having fun and being themselves, so we always knew they were ok. She always showed up exactly when she said she would from pickup to dropoff and it was so incredible to know they were in good hands, and we never had to worry. They love being around people so for her to have been able to stay with them and love on them regularly we came home and could immediately tell both Thomas and Toby felt great as they were completely comfortable. Much much different than when we leave even for a few days and have a pet sitter stop by and feed them. She asked all the necessary questions in advance, so she didn't have to email or ask anything while we were away. She even took the time to make sure everything was neat and tidy, prepped the sheets to be changed, and was unbelievably sweet to get us a wedding gift we both love. Nikki we can't thank you enough for taking care of our cats, and we would only be so lucky if you stuck around town! :)

Sarah took great care of my two cats while I was out of town. I will definitely hire her again in the future. I love that she sent a daily update with photos!
Sarah is just amazing! She is responsive and responsible. We have a house full of pets, some with special needs and require meds. Our pets love her, and have been well taken care of each time we've been away. Recommend 100%!
My dogs love Sarah! Sarah has stayed at our house several times to take care of my two active dogs, sometimes for as long as a week. Sarah is great about being in touch every day, asking any questions she has, and sharing photos and updates while we are gone. She has great attention to detail and follows my overly-detailed instructions exactly. Most importantly, I know she gives my dogs plenty of attention and love, and they are very happy when we get home!
Sarah cared for our 6 cats over the thanksgiving holiday. Two of them needed meds and she treated them with care and compassion. She sent us photos and kept us updated while we were gone. Sarah is a true animal lover and handled our kitties as if they were her own. We would definitely use her services again.
Sarah was absolutely professional, dependable, and so very caring with our pets! She treated our family pets just as we would, and they were very well taken care of while we were away. It was a total pleasure working with Sarah and we will definitely be using her services again.
Sarah was extremely accomodating and did a great job of taking care of our dog, Mikey, during our wedding. We could tell right away that he was in good hands. When it started raining she immediately took Mikey home with her, helped calm his nerves, and brought him back when the weather let up. We highly recommend Sarah and her services!
Sarah from sensational pet care is amazing! She took such great care of our two pups while we were away. We got regular updates on how they were doing. Very responsive, reliable, and professional! We will be using this service regularly and our pups are so happy.
Sarah is friendly, and took great care of our 4 cats. Our original pet sitter closed due to COVID, so we used Sarah for the first time. Some pet sitters "phone it in" and do the bare minimum, but Sarah really cares about the animals. She sent us updates after each visit and sometimes pictures too. She included small activities to make the house look lived in, like getting the mail and putting the trash bins out. During this challenging time of COVID, Sarah took extra steps to ensure everyone's safety, like wearing a mask in our home and sanitizing touchpoints on her last visit. I would recommend Sensational Pet Care to anyone who needs pet sitting services at a reasonable cost.
Sarah from Sensational Pet Care is fantastic! She's kind and thoughtful and is great with our two cats who no longer get along, and are in separate quarters. Sarah developed a calm and trusting relationship with my girls very quickly. She not only cares for our pets but, cares for our home and plants too! We always choose Sensational Pet Care when we go away!
I highly recommend Sensational Pet Care. I have used Sarah’s pet care services on many occasions to care for my two cats and two guinea pigs. The care and attention she gives is exceptional. Having Sensational Pet Care by Sarah provides me with total peace of mind when I’m away. In addition to pet care she also takes care of other details like mail, lights etc. Sensational Pet Care by Sarah is 100% reliable, dependable and trustworthy.
This is an amazing place for my dog to go socialize and burn some energy! As a puppy, she was attacked on a walk by a larger dog and we were worried it would take a lot of time and patience for her to adjust to being with other dogs in a productive setting. The team at Dizzy’s was so amazing, giving us tips on how to work on the issue outside of day care, and being conscientious of the situation while my dog was there. As a puppy, and a working breed, she has boundless energy, and we all feel better after a day of her getting to run around with other dogs. Since starting care she has become better at listening to commands and knowing when it is play time and when it is work time. The price is more than fair for the value we’ve received!!
Dizzy's is great! The place has been a godsend for my family's very energetic 1 year old pup. Our doggie has fallen in love with the staff, is desperate to get out to the door to them every morning and comes home exhausted every night. I could not recommend Dizzy's more highly!
My dog Waffles started at Dizzy's at 6 months.I always felt although he was a little guy he was so happy going to see all his friends! He would go in bark to let everyone know he was there! The staff is caring and wonderful! This is a clean well led daycare! Waffles misses you all!
Our 2 year old lab mix pup, Biscuit, attends a weekly play group at Dizzys and we have also used the pet care staff for at home pet care. The setting for the day care is clean with plenty of room inside and out for loads of exercise. We can check in on our pup during her playgroup with pictures posted on their FB page each day. Biscuit is obviously happy to greet the staff when we arrive and usually falls asleep on the way home. There are celebrations, holidays and parties offered with doggie games and activities provided. When the yard is wet Biscuit gets cleaned up before pick up and now a full pet spa service is offered on site by a well known pet groomer. My communication with the owner and staff at Dizzys Doggie Daycare is professional in person and always responded to in a timely manner via email. The service is excellent, the staff are flexible for pick up and drop off within in their hours of operation and the payment packages are a very good value. We are happy to have Dizzys Doggie Daycare in our area!
A very excellent place where dogs are able to release their energy during the day and enjoy their time there. Any pet parent should feel at ease knowing their furry friend has a safe place to play during the day. The owner is very attentive and caring. If you are looking for a doggie daycare this is the place to go!
Been bringing my dog there weekly for over three years. Staff is amazing and prices are great. They take great pride in caring for my Charlie and he is always so so excited to go there, I can’t open the door fast enough when I drop him off. They even do events! Can’t say enough good things about them!
We’ve been with Dizzy Pets since the day we brought Petey home from the shelter over 4 years ago! We’ve used the daycare, daily walks and dog sitting services when we go on vacation. We’ve had nothing but great experiences with Jayme and her dedicated team. Petey has a blast every week at daycare.
Jayme, Josh and numerous members of their qualified staff have been coming to our house for years to exercise our dogs when we're not around. I'm sure we are among Jayme and Josh's most demanding clients. Through no fault of our own we are a pain in the rear end. We have three dogs that all have their individual personalities and requirements. We live out in the middle of nowhere on the way to nothing. We need Jayme and Josh's help often, but not on a regular schedule. Dizzy's service really has been top notch. There is the potential for LOTS to go wrong in this business and thanks to Jayme and Josh's positive attitude, professional practices, ambition to make their business a success and overall kind, concerned and conscientious energy we are VERY satisfied customers and will gladly recommend them to anyone.
Love Dizzy's Doggie Day Care. The dogs are always tired when they come home which is always a good sign that they had fun. Keep up the good work
Great place to bring your pups! Amazing staff. Your pup will leave exhausted yet happy from a day full of play, enrichment and socialization.
My husband and I live in NYC and this was our first time boarding our dog after a cross country move. Mark & Kate did an amazing job answering our questions, sending us photos and updates, and really just loving on our golden retriever, Penny. We had no issues with pick up or drop off in the city and that was SO convenient for us. Our dog LOVED her time in the Hudson Valley-she was on her own vacation and living her best life. We knew that Penny was safe, healthy, and having the best time with her new friends. I would absolutely recommend Stonehouse Dog Sitting to anyone-we will be using them again in the future.
Dean absolutely thrived in the care of Stonehouse. Their personalized attention and daily adventures made Dean feel right at home. We appreciated the genuine love they showed our furry friend, and knowing that Dean spent his time with the pack in a cozy home environment was truly reassuring. A big thank you to this wonderful couple, Mark & Kate for taking such excellent care of Dean – we'll undoubtedly trust them with his care in the future!
We stumbled upon Stone House and are so glad we did! Living in NYC, we wanted to find the best option for our happy, active 2-year old dog and this place is it! Kate and Mark are the kindest and even provide adorable updates (with photos!) on the different adventures of the dogs upstate. It’s a vacation home away from home for our dog, and we’re so excited for him to go back and see all his friends again!! He came home a happy and loved dog! Thank you to Kate and Marc!!
My pup Dolly had an excellent time at Stone House! Their rates are on par with some dog sitters in Manhattan, but the dogs get a much richer experience at Stone House—more of a vacation. There are many doggie camps in the NYC suburbs, but most are large operations where the dogs stay in kennels. Mark and Kate are amazing and treat the dogs as their own. Their home is a storybook perfect getaway—so cozy and surrounded by nature. In every picture update they sent of Dolly, she had a huge grin on her face. She’ll definitely be back!
Our experience with the Stonehouse team (Kate and Mark) couldn’t have gone better. We had been looking for a safe / fun place for our dog to stay while away for 9-days and we’re so grateful Stonehouse had availability. Kate and Mark make sure your dog feels at home and will be a good fit with the other dogs staying on the property for the duration of your dog’s stay. They send updates, photos and guarantee plenty of activity and love. Thanks so much to Stonehouse - we’ll absolutely be back for all future dog sitting needs!
We were looking to board our dog Georgie for a few weeks, and we were having trouble finding the perfect, comfortable place for him. I stumbled upon Stonehouse through a random internet search. We went for a meet and greet and immediately knew we found the perfect place. Georgie was comfortable from the second he stepped into Mark and Kate's home. They took such good care of him - taking him on walks, fabulous hikes, and adventures - we were afraid he wouldn't want to come back home! This was Georgie's first stay with Mark and Kate, and it certainly won't be his last. Thank you both so much for treating Georgie like your own.
Our Bernese Mountain Dog Hera stayed over Christmas at Stonehouse and could not have spent a better time anywhere else! Mark and Kate are wonderful people who truly enjoy their time with the dogs they host and have so many lovely stories to share. The pick-up in Brooklyn was great and we got a text message after they arrived safely at the Stonehouse. We received regular updates over the 2 weeks Hera stayed there and she even got to see some mountains to play in the snow (very important for a Swiss Mountain Dog ;)). We cam recommend the Stonehouse without any hesitation and could not think of a better place for Hera if we are out of town.
It is wonderful to know our dog is so well loved and looked after when we are out of town. He loves his daily hikes and playing with the other dogs. Mark and Kate are attentive and keep us updated with pictures and texts throughout our dogs stay.
Stonehouse, Kate, and Mark are amazing! They took care of our dog, Finley, while we were out of the country for a week. We are first time dog parents so you can imagine how nervous we were about leaving him behind. He had such an amazing time at their beautiful property. Mark was always sending us updates and great pics while we were away. They made it super easy on us by driving down to NYC to pick him up. Such a huge relief knowing he was in great hands! We are excited for our next trip and know Finley is as well because he’ll get to be with Mark and Kate!
Mark and Kate took absolutely incredible care of our sweet mini schnauzer. We had never left her for that length of time and were anxious as to how she would do. She had a blast and Mark was so sweet to send us frequent updates and near professional photos of her playing with the other pups. We can’t wait to go on our next trip knowing she gets a vacation with Mark and Kate as well.

I brought my two dogs for daycare at Staycation and I can’t say enough good things about Courtney and her husband. They have a huge, fenced-in yard and let the dogs out multiple times a day. They also do an afternoon movie-hour (watching …
