Best companions & carers for your pets & home. Experienced, patient, attentive
If you are lucky enough to get Chris and Geoff to request a house sit, say yes quickly! We went overseas for a whole month and left our dog... who is nothing short of my animal bestie. They walked her every day(twice!) and stayed near her for large chunks of the day... and they also did magic on the garden -- keeping our newly planted trees alive and our garden thriving. Within the first few days of their house sit, we had some exchanges on text that showed me how wonderful Chris and Geoff would be-- making themselves at home in our neighborhood and with Lucy. I was able to enjoy my holiday even more because our dog and home were deeply cared for. Lucy's behaviour when we returned was noticeably settled. She had not gained weight or becoming clingy like she has in past when I left her. I think she misses them. :-) Thank you, Chris and Geoff!

Highly trustworthy, competent, non-smoking animal lover.
Jinnie took great care of our cat Suki and they became firm friends during her stay. Jinnie was communicative and organised prior to the visit which helped. She was friendly and we had some lovely chats when we returned home.

Loving, adventurous professionals seek amazing pets to cuddle
Erin is an amazing pet sitter. This is her second time to sit with Gracie, which made the hand-off go smoothly. She sent me frequent mini-video updates and asked great questions about minor health issues. I could tell how much Gracie loved her by watching the two of them say their farewells. Erin will always be my first choice when traveling if she is available to return!

Responsible, Laidback & Clean
Anjali was amazing. She provided me updates everyday and gave lots of love to my pup. She is a great communicator and very easy to work with. Most importantly, my pup loved her!! I came home to a clean apartment and happy dog - couldn’t be happier.

Digital nomad & pet enthusiast!
It was a pleasure to have Avery as a house sitter. We got pictures and updates daily, the house was clean and tidy on our return, she had fun with our neighbors, and Sunny got plenty of exercise and attention. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Erica was an absolute pleasure! She was incredibly attentive and sent updates and photos of Disco throughout they day. She left my place clean and better than I found it and Disco was acting normal and calm when I returned…a sign of a great sitter! This was my first sitter through Trust House Sitters and I put up the listing on short notice and am so glad I chose Erica :)

Mature, Reliable, and dedicated couple
Susan and Peter were wonderful house and pet sitters! They walked our 3 dogs and played with them in our fenced yard. They kept my garden and house plants watered and they left the house spotless. We were in communication the whole week and they sent pictures of our dogs daily. We couldn’t be happier with the care they gave our dogs! Susan even bathed all 3 the day we were returning! We highly recommend Susan and Peter.
Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.
Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
Sharon was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had! From the very first time we connected, she was communicative and proactive with follow up. She asked great questions prior to her stay and I could tell she’s done this many times and that she genuinely cares about the pets and homes she cares for. Sharon went above and beyond to leave my house in ever better shape, cleaning and organizing. It was a dream to come home to! Thank you Sharon!
Not only did our pets enjoy meeting Kelly and Christopher, my husband and I enjoyed meeting them as well! They are personable and kind, organized and communicative, and most of all excellent pet sitters. Kelly and Chris are attentive housesitters. They went out of their way to connect with our dogs, especially Smitty, our rescue. The dogs were walked, brushed, and played with throughout the weeklong sit. They sent pics of how our fur babies were doing and truly seemed to enjoy their time with them. The peace of mind that comes with great house sitters who care for your precious pups and the home you love is priceless. Thank you once again, Kelly and Christopher! We hope to see you again!
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
Leo and Susi were wonderful pet sitters for our two cats. They were responsive, communicative, and gracious guests, and the I swear the house was cleaner when we got home than we left it. The cats were very contented. Any time we leave we will be checking in with them first. Such a pleasure to work with.
Heath spent a long weekend at my home taking great care of both dogs and the cat. He was able to help out on rather short notice, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in his care. Heath is friendly and reliable and left my home neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend him as a house/pet sitter for future assignments!

It was difficult to find a place that felt comfortable for my rescue dog when I visited Winston Salem. Amber was very welcoming to Daisy and me. She understands rescue dogs. Daisy had a positive experience, I think. She came home with improved socialization skills with other dogs. I really appreciate that. Thanks for what you did for Daisy. I'll use Winston Salem Dog Care again for Daisy when we visit.
What a God send to me! Winston- Salem dog care treats my Great Dane (Zen) like family. As a traveler ( contract medical worker) I work long hours and need my boy to get out. I’ve had to use Rover and Wag in the past and sometimes it was good other times NOT. I never worry about my boy now because Marie and her staff take such excellent care of him. I highly recommend them.
Have to share how wonderful Winston-Salem Dog (and cat) Care is! Have 1 pup and 2 cats, all inside babies. The pup came from a hoarding situation, doesn't like other dogs, and won't go #2 outside, so boarding is a challenge. Home visits are the solution! I had them come twice a day for my pup, and he couldn't have been happier! The picture attached shows exactly how much he loved all the attention he got. The cats are shy, but they even came out for the sitters, which is quite the endorsement. My house was in better shape than when I left, everyone was happy, well fed and unstressed. I've already rebooked them!
I discovered WSDC from my vet. We were recommended and made an appointment to meet Justin and so glad we did. My Kacee loves going to Daycare and Amber has become Kacee's daycare Mom. Kacee isn't used to being alone for long periods of time and his breed becomes very stressed if this happens. WSDC has been a godsend. Kacee gets so excited on his visits. I love the fact that Amber and all the moms there take such good care of my boy. Amber thank you for being so amazing I love that we get picture updates on his visits as this helps Mom to stay calm
I have used WS Dog Care personally for my own dog, in which every single person that came to my house to take care of Maverick was SO incredibly kind and sent me photos and updates. As a property manager, I have also turned to WS Dog Care for resident emergencies and they have been even MORE fantastic. I cannot thank Marie and team enough for always helping during these situations. You guys are incredible, and I'm so grateful for the partnership!
My eldest dog just turned 12. I’ve never been fortunate to have a work from home job so I’ve utilized many dog daycares & boarding. Winston Salem Dog care is so far above and beyond the best we’ve ever been to. And even that doesn’t do Justin & Marie and their team justice! They are the second family my, and all dogs, need and set the bar for dog care! On site is serene and a perfect environment! We additionally utilize the in home pet visits for our cat. They collect the mail or a random Sam’s club package that I profusely apologize for not being able to pin point the delivery to the days we’re home for without hesitation or worry! We are truckers that travel weekly and our return day isn’t always easily scheduled on our end. Weather or road work can collapse return times by hours or days. The team is responsive, flexible and always happy to assist! If I attempted to highlight all the ways WSDC has been flexible, patient, accommodating and understanding without ever a misstep in service I’d run google reviews out of storage space. I cannot explain just how immense the internal peace is of knowing your dogs are having the time of their lives with a plethora of other dogs and being loved on and taken care of while you can’t be there!
I normally do not leave reviews, unless someone has done something exceptional. WS Dog Care is an incredible team. In an emergency they helped me to take care of another’s dog- when every other boarding location and kennel was booked through the new year. Though my friend passed, they were supportive of me and what I needed the entire process. Can’t say enough how great a business this place is. If you give them your business, you will not be disappointed! Thank you again, WS Dog Care. Marie and Elizabeth were very helpful and accommodating.
Amazing dog care all around. I travel for work, and use them for both house visits, and boarding, and Marie, Justin and their staff have been beyond amazing. They have accommodated my crazy schedule on short notice, take the time to know and understand my dog’s personalities and needs. I get pictures and updates about visits consistently, my pups love it. They truly care about your pups and treat them as one of their own. Truly, 5 stars isn’t even close to what they truly deserve!
I had a family emergency a couple months ago and had to leave town indefinitely. I reached out to Justin the night before and asked to board my three fur babies. Justin took them in not knowing when I will be back. Cain, Abel and Lilith were well cared for and loved on. The staff's genuine love for dogs is evident, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The facilities are clean, and the daily updates they provide give me peace of mind. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking top-notch care for their beloved pets!
The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. They also treat your baby like their own. I tend to have anxiety with leaving my precious cargo with others, but Amber ensured that I was at ease and all my questions and concerns were addressed. They offer an abundance of services and each one is thoughtful and Top Notch. If you are looking for a place for your four legged Family Member - Winston Salem Dog Care is the place for you.
I was lucky enough to be introduced to Lucy's Friends Pet Sitting, LLC last year. We have been able to continue our wonderful relationship, Cooper is so accommodating, we feel absolutely blessed. We have a 15y cocker spaniel Libby, Cooper is so patient with her many ever changing needs. Cooper is trustworthy and dependable. We can fully recommend this company.
Highly recommend Lucy's Friends Pet Sitting, LLC if you are going out of town or just need daily help with your furry friends! Cooper is diligent about getting to know each pet and providing just the right amount of support. It's so great to have someone you can trust and rely on whether it's an overnight or an extended trip.
In short, Cooper and Lucy’s Friends Pet Sitting absolutely rock! Best pet sitting service I have ever used! Paws down! Read on for the many, many reasons I feel thus. As are many pet parents, I’m reluctant to leave my fur babies. In fact, I tend to travel with my cats rather than leave them in another’s care. Recently, I had opportunity to visit Europe for a month, but it meant flying solo sans cats. I nearly passed on the trip because one of my cats requires daily medication, another is terrified of strangers, and the third is prone to anxiety; I didn’t think I’d find a pet sitter with whom I’d be comfortable caring for them for a month. I called around and had some less-than-encouraging conversations with area sitters (few wanted or could accommodate such a lengthy commitment, others weren’t comfortable giving medications, and some just didn’t vibe). I was on the verge of cancelling the trip when I found Lucy’s Friends. From the start, Cooper was professional, agreeable, friendly, and conveyed a clear passion for animals (he volunteers at animal rescues and helps care for feral cat colonies on the island). Cooper came to meet the cats and learn their routine. He also wanted to ensure that he’d be a good fit for the job, which I appreciated (some pets and people just don’t click and Cooper needed to know the cats would be cool with him). He diligently assessed the situation, the cats, and their needs before committing. I was very happy to see that money wasn’t Cooper’s primary motivation (he genuinely wanted what was best for the cats and would have declined the job had he not been absolutely certain he could deliver). During that first meeting, he also administered medication to my special needs kitty thereby assuring me that he could handle the task (his technique is as good as, if not better, than that of many vet techs I’ve seen in action). His warm disposition and obvious love for animals (not to mention the magic he worked with a syringe) sold me! I knew my babies would be in good hands. Every day of my month-long trip, he texted me updates, photos, and videos. When it seemed as if the kitties were especially anxious and missing me, he bought a pheromone dispenser for them! He even brought special toys, along with catnip, to cheer them up. He could have just come by, done the bare minimum, and left (how would I have known, after all?), but he took a genuine interest in their well-being. In my view, Cooper went above and beyond. I could not be more pleased with Cooper and Lucy’s Friends. I highly recommend him and his company! So long as I live on HHI, I won’t consider anyone else when it comes to caring for my fur babies. In sum, if you need a pet sitter, Cooper’s your man! He gets the “crazy-cat lady seal of approval” from me, as well as glowing endorsements from Kush, Bugsy, and Cary Grant!
Lucy's Pet Sitting is fantastic. We have used Cooper and Jen for over a decade. They not only take wonderful care of our cats but also our home. Our cats love them! Their service gives us such piece of mind knowing they come every day to make sure everything is in order. They make traveling a lot less stressful. We highly recommend them!
They've always been wonderful! When I'm out of town, Wolfgang goes to the house twice per day to feed and play with my three cats. They love him (probably because when they see him it means food!) and I feel good knowing they're being taken care of. He is also very responsive if I have a question or want a quick update about them while I'm out of town. I definitely recommend this company! (Picture of my three boys below!)
Cooper and staff are great. They pay close attention to each of my cats and my cats love them. I'm glad I can go on vacation and not worry about my cats. Lucy's Friends is highly recommended.
We recently used Lucy's Friends Pet Sitting services. We can't thank enough Wolfgang. He took care of our cat Anakin. We got texts and pictures after every visit. April is amazing. She organized and controlled everything, dates, visits, all details. These people are true professionals. They don’t just do the job, they care for our pets. I highly recommend Lucy's Friends Pet Sitting. Kate
Micah and his team are incredible, we recently moved to HHI from New England and finding a new pet sitter is not only challenging, but it is emotional because you want your fur babies in safe, nurturing hands. When I first contacted Micah by phone we had a wonderful conversation and I was immediately at ease, we set up a meeting for him to meet our pets to make sure everyone was comfortable with each other. All of our pets, 2 cats and 2 dogs, were immediately drawn to him, and we know animals are the best judge of human character. Even our 17 year old grumpy "I don't like people" cat walked right up to him. We've since used Lucy's on several occasions including trips abroad. And recently had a situation where we needed to call at 8 pm at night to ask Micah to let the dogs out for last call at 10 pm because our return home was being delayed. He immediately assured us he would go to the house and check in on the pets, and if we were delayed until morning, would make sure they were taken care of. Lucy's is the best and gives us a lot of piece of mind that are pets are well cared for and loved while we are away.
We are so lucky to have Lucy's friends for our pet sitting needs. Wolfgang is the best. It is such a peace of mind to know you don't need to worry about the gang while you're away. Our 3 cats love Wolfgang and the playtime. Highly recommend.
We have been using Lucy's Friends for more than a decade. Cooper, and later joined by Wolfgang, have been great caretakers of two generations of cats and a few fish. In addition to pet care, they handle basic away-from-home management, rescuing stray front porch deliveries, weekly shifting of trash cans, and watering plants. I highly recommend them.
Buddy always enjoys his stays at Siver Paw Resort especially the half hour play time. When they bathe him he and groom him he always looks great his coat is bright white. Thank you for all of your love and great care. I wouldn't leave him anywhere else.
We have been pleased with the services of Silver Paw Pet Resort. The staff provides efficient customer service. We’ve used grooming services as well as boarding or dog Beaux. We are looking forward to Beaux spending time during their doggie daycare hours. Thanks for living on Beaux!
Our dog Beaux loves to stay at Silver Paw. We use their services quite often and have never been disappointed. We have boarded Beaux any where from a weekend stay to several days snd we like the variety of options of activities that we can add on to his stay.
Took my very long haired husky to Megan and she did AMAZING! He was shedding his winter coat so he looked a mess but she deshed him/and brushed him out SO good! He was clean, nice nails/pawpads/ and a happy pup when I picked him up!! The price was great too, and awesome customer service! Will be coming back!
We have been boarding our 11 year old boxer at Silver Paw Pet Resort for the past two years. If you’re looking for a boarder, look no further! Silver Paw is the best! The staff are so sweet and caring. Besides their love for our precious girl, they are more flexible than boarders we have used in the past. Drop off and pick up can happen during all lobby hours, and not specific to morning pickups and afternoon drops. This has never worked for our schedules, so I’m extremely grateful to have this flexibility. They also have the best check-in and checkout processes. Debra, Megan, Makayla, and the rest of the team—y’all are awesome!
I will be bringing our beloved Aussie, Jewel to be groomed here from now on. I didn't have to book a month in advance, and Jewel looks absolutely fabulous. Megan did a wonderful job with her trim and didn't get too close, which is important with Aussies. Top notch service and very reasonable prices as well.
My puppy got his first haircut recently and I couldn't be more pleased with the staff and the way they took their time with my sweet boy! ❤️
I’m a little late posting this review, but wanted to let the staff know that they’re the BEST. Boarded our 2 dogs here, Dusty Bun and Ugly Mike. This is a clean, welcoming resort for pets. They all seemed to love and care for our dogs. Very kind and knowledgeable staff members. We will definitely be bringing our boys back for a stay. Thank y’all!!! 😍🐕🐕🦺🦴🐾
We love this place and so do our dogs. The staff are super kind and very attentive to our two dogs, one of whom is mostly blind. He is usually very afraid of strangers and is not friendly with strangers, but he loves the staff here. He lets them pet him and everything. I’m someone who is very nervous about leaving my dogs, but I’ve always felt comfortable boarding them here. Our dogs have been here multiple times. We moved away from the area and still make the trip back here just to board.
This is literally THE best place we have ever taken our little black dog, Zeppelin. She's been boarded here several times now and the staff here already know her by name and get almost as excited to see her as she is to see them. Our good girl always gets a bath and nail trim before we pick her up and she is so fresh and clean when she comes home. She literally smells NICE and her nails, which are black and typically harder to trim, are trimmed beautifully. Everything is clean and well organized inside. Everyone has always been super friendly and helpful. They are even expanding and just recently updated their doggy daycare hours, I do believe. I hope this place continues to grow and I'm so glad we have such an amazing facility so close to home. Better than any place in Greensboro we've been. Highly recommend!!
My dog’s been visiting Best Friends since she was a puppy! All the staff are amazing and take great care of all their guests. I love the fun event photos they do, along with the daily daycare and pool posts on Facebook. The manager, Ashley, is always so happy and quick to greet everyone!
Moose absolutely loves going to daycare at Best Friends Bed and Biscuit! He looks forward to it every week and jumps out of the car with excitement when we arrive. The staff is so kind and friendly and truly get to know your pup and their needs which puts us at ease. This is the best daycare/boarding facility in town and we are so appreciative of the staff which makes it so great!
I’m honestly a little disappointed with this place. I’m new to town and everyone told me how spectacular this place was so naturally I was thrilled to have my dog spend the time at what seemed to be a beautiful facility with large grassy areas and lots of play space. I dropped my dog off for three nights of boarding when I found out that daycare wasn’t included in boarding and if I didn’t pay extra, she would just be in her kennel the entire time— I know they call it an indoor outdoor suite, but still. And then I also found out that they only do four hours of play for the entire day (2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon). My dog could go all day if they let her and I was a little sad to hear that they restricted play… which I was paying extra for. I also asked for a Spa bath upon exit which was supposed to come with a blow dry. I have a doodle and can clearly tell when she has been blow dried versus air dried and they definitely didn’t blow dry her but still charged me for it. They also don’t include basic things like report cards, pictures, or web cams which are included so many other places. So after almost $350 for three days, I was a little disappointed. What was really the kicker for me was that she also came home with some kind of infection on her paws. This caused me to have to take her to the vet, which was an additional bill, and she was so uncomfortable for several days. I’m sure this place is lovely for several others, but after being charged way more than expected and having to pay the price in several different ways, I’m not sure we’ll be back. I’m not mad or upset— these things happen and I think this was just a series of unfortunate events, I’m just not sure they’re worth the $. I did email my concerns to them about the infection just to give them a heads up in case they can clean or do something to avoid this for other dogs. I am waiting to hear back and will share the response, especially if it’s positive as I sincerely hope to give them the benefit of the doubt.
We absolutely love Best Friends Bed and Biscuit! Our dog is SO excited to go. He loves to socialize not only with the other dogs but the staff as well. Booking is super easy with their app and the facilities are wonderful. Our dog has only participated in the daycare and grooming services but we do plan to use the boarding services this summer. One of my favorite things is seeing all the adorable pictures of my dog with the other dogs on BFBB’s Facebook page. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t be happier and feel really lucky to have such a great facility in our area.
Best Friends has the best staff around! They manage to make you feel like your dog is their favorite dog. I have a very busy work schedule so I rely on taking my dog to daycare several days a week. He loves it and I am always confident that he is safe and happy while he is there. Try them out- they are the best!
Every Friday rain or shine, Moose is spending the day with his furry buddies and great hosts at BFBB! This organization truly cares for each animal and takes the best care of Moose! He has been at several different daycare/boarding facilities over the years and we have never felt as comfortable as we do now at BFBB. Each staff member always greets you with a hello and the staff have your dogs name memorized which makes it easy to hand off your pup for the day! Facility is clean, communication is great and activities are well worth the investment!
Our dog loves Bed & Biscuit, whether she’s there for a long vacation stay or just a day of daycare. She gets so excited when we pull in! I love that the staff is all so nice and friendly and helpful! She’s 5 years old and has been using Bed & Biscuit since she was a puppy. We can’t even say the name out loud at home without her perking up her ears and getting excited!
Our family feels so thankful to have found Best Friends Bed and Biscuit! The wonderful staff and trainers take great care of our sweet Boxer Stella at weekly daycare and on the occasional boarding visit. With their support and guidance, Stella has blossomed here from a very scared pup to a happy healthy girl with a circle of friends. We're able to get a glimpse into her day with the daycare photos on FB and we love the holiday photoshoots too. We are willing to drive an hour round trip from our home to BFBB several times a week, passing by several other similar businesses, because the quality of care and love is so high here. We can't recommend this place enough to other pet parents!
Best friends bed and biscuit is such an amazing facility. The staff always has friendly faces and the dogs have a blast. My pup loves attending daycare and going swimming!
Best place for my two pups! I try to go at least once a week. They seem to love the saltwater swimming pool when it's open in the summer. Local owned and amazing staff. ( So glad that reverted back to local phone staff rather than using that annoying over seas answering service! Thanks for switching back to your amazing LOCAL TEAM!)
I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my Pup to Beacon Pet Suites Resort, and the experience was overwhelmingly positive. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the clean, welcoming environment. The resort exudes professionalism, yet it still feels homey and comfortable, which put my mind at ease. Boarding and Daycare: The boarding facilities are spacious and designed with pets’ comfort in mind. My pup had plenty of room to move around, and I appreciated the luxury suites. It’s clear that the staff prioritize both cleanliness and safety, as the areas are well-maintained and secure. During daycare, pets have access to outdoor play areas where they can socialize and exercise under supervision, which I found to be an excellent way for my dog to stay active and engaged while I was away. Staff and Care: The staff at Beavon are knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient with the animals in their care. They made an effort to get to know my dog’s personality and needs, which reassured me that she was in good hands. I received regular updates on her behavior and activities, and the open communication really set this place apart from other facilities I’ve used in the past. Grooming Services: I also took advantage of their grooming services, and I was thrilled with the results. My girl came out looking fresh and happy, and the groomer clearly paid attention to detail. The fact that grooming can be conveniently added to a stay or daycare package was a nice bonus. Overall Experience: Beacon Suites Pet Resort delivers an exceptional experience for both pets and their owners. The facility’s attention to detail, friendly staff, and wide array of services make it stand out in the world of pet care. Whether you’re going on a short trip or looking for a regular daycare spot, I highly recommend Pet Suites and Resort for a worry-free and fun experience for your fur baby . The resort is a perfect mix of high-quality care and thoughtful amenities that pet owners appreciate.
So profesional and accommodating. We got married last year and they brought our babies to the mansion all dressed up & smelling good. They were so patient with our date change, accommodations and anything we asked for. The staff, assistant manager and owner are so nice and professional. I trusted them with our babies and I was able to relax for the night knowing they are well taken care of. We highly recommend Beacon Pet Resort.
BEWARE...Only gave a one star for the first time my pup stayed with them. They went above and beyond on the first stay. They understood upfront that she had PTSD from another facility and did have trust issues from being kept in a cage for two days and food throwed at her. I put her in her suite and she stayed a week. Beacon Suites kept me informed of her stay and i did not worry that she was in good hands. The second time I dropped her off she did not bark and walked right in. I handed her to the young girl and walked out the door. She knew I was leaving her and she kept jumping up on the door to leave. I got to the car and one came out and said she lunged and tried to bite the young girl. They could not keep her. As I entered the facility to get her she ran out the door and I barely got ahold of her leash or my dog would have been gone. She was just scared and knew that I was leaving her. They never gave her a chance. She is a Big German Shephard and only 17 months old at 80 pounds and most people are scared of her and her size. Dogs are smart and can sense it. They told me to get a trainer. When I called a month later to see if I could bring her back and try again to see if she would warm up to them and was told she is no longer welcome there. WOW!!! Very disappointed in this facility and would never recommend them ever again to anyone.
Beacon suites is a high end pet care facility that does a phenomenal job with implicit care for my elderly little man. He’s on a fairly strict medicinal regimen and they kept him for two weeks with no issues! They even have TV’s for them to watch! 🥰 They also have grooming services available. EMMA IS THE BEST, book early, they fill up quickly. Def worth the waiting list.
Beware!! I took my two dogs there and they had their names mixed up which caused them not to give the correct dog her medicine. Claimed my dog was agressive and did not let her out enough while she was there. My dog is 10 years old and has been to several kennels in her lifetime and has NEVER been told that she was aggressive!!!! They must have done something to scare her! I’m glad my dog was not allergic to the medication that they had given her!!! Could have been much worse! And the dog that needed the medication was without it for three days. I am just glad I did not go away longer!! Don’t go here!
I have used Beacon 3 times now. Just picked my German Shepard up this morning after his longest doggie vacation of 9 nights. He has always been a shy and nervous boy, but Beacon puts him at ease. During this stay he was able to try group play (they asked my permission first) and he did good. I love that they post photos on FB so I can see how he is while I'm away. I really trust them with his care. Completely recommend for anyone's fur baby needs.
We travel a good distance to take our dogs to Beacon Suites. Our dogs love going, and I feel they’re treated with love and care while there, but that said, the staff seems very discombobulated as of recent. We’ve been using their services for roughly two years, but the past couple times when following up on requested dates, employees have responded in a confused manner as if they’re completely oblivious to previous communications/bookings/waitlists/etc. I wish they’d become more organized because it’s definitely stressful to loyal customers trying to ensure care for their animals. Overall, we do trust them, and find the extra drive worth it. A couple other notes: • Pay attention to their hours (before noon for pick up, after 3 for drop off). • They also have pretty high fees for using a credit card. It’s not a huge deal, but we always pay cash because of this.
Emma does a fantastic job with our very large doodle, Houston, no matter if it is just a bath or a full groom. He loves going to visit her. She has earned his trust, and he gets excited when we pull in!
Peace of mind for my pups. We love this place. We recently lost our older furbaby right before a trip out of town so our Boston spent her first time alone. We hated to leave her but the staff was so helpful catering to her needs. Absolutely recommend
Our dog gets groomed here only. We have not used the boarding facilities yet. Very friendly staff.
I had to think long and hard about writing this review. I don't like leaving bad reviews, I felt the need to warn other pet parents. This was my first time boarding my fur babies. When I picked them up, my oldest had skin missing off her nose. I was told it was from her rubbing her nose against the mat. In my 8 years of having my baby, she had never rubbed her nose against anything. I also put on their feeding instructions to administer one dental treat per day. When I picked them up, the new bag of treats hadn't been opened. When checking them in, it was never mentioned if they weren't able to have them. Now I am wondering if they even feed them as instructed. My youngest baby behind has been super red and it was wet when i picked him up. I decided to write this review AFTER coming back in the house when noticing my oldest baby pooping blood (I have pictures). Some of this could be from the stress of my babies being boarded, but I also think there was neglect on the facility part. I am not only disappointed, but I am also heartbroken for my dogs. I trusted this place to look after them and they missed the mark.
This will be both of our dogs new grooming spot! We boarded Boeing for our vacation because he was not quite potty trained enough to stay in a hotel, and asked if they had any time if they could groom him as well. We received Boeing back in a great mood, he was happy and healthy and smelled great! We’ve hopped groomers for a while and for some reason he has never felt “clean” when we got him back, but his coat was glossy and smooth and he smelled great, and his nails were trimmed perfectly from Almost Home. I highly recommend this spot, especially because they have a great turnover and capacity as we were able to get him boarded within a days notice which is unheard of. They have a great daily boarding rate and you are able to add on special activities for the staff to do with them during his stay.
The best grooming experience we have had! Staff are so obviously dog lovers and did such great work!
12-13-22 still loving Sam! Check out Zoe’s Christmas ‘do! Adorable! Update 2020 they still get 5 stars. The groomer is Sam and she’s fantastic. My OESs are 8 years old now and they really get stressed out. The staff never complained and never said anything disparaging. But it was clear that my girls anxiety fed off of each other and they kept getting worse. We now schedule separate appointments and it is much easier for everyone. Even though there are closer groomers, I would never take them anywhere else. This place is very clean and everyone I’ve met is so good natured. I really appreciate them. —————————————-/————————- 2016. I've been using Dawn for several years for our Old English Sheepdogs. They are a handful but everyone is so patient and nice. Their Villa boarding facilities are top notch. I would never take Zoe and Dottie anywhere else. The fact that the best Veterinarians are right next door is a HUGE plus. Shots and grooming in one stop. My Vet is how I discovered Almosr Home. It's been a match made in Heaven.
My senior Springers board and get excellent grooming at Almost Home. They are always happy to go in and are calm upon pick-up. (Which indicates to me they were not stressed and were attended to frequently.) The staff is friendly, professional and responsive. It's a bit of a drive from where we live but worth it to know that they are in good hands. Would highly recommend!
If you Hate your Dog bring them here. Left to go to a family funeral for 3 days. We signed her up for doggie day school, which she was supposed to be taken and played with every 15 min per hour. We got a room with a camera and checked in every 10-15 min while driving a 12 hour drive. She had been taken out 2 x for the day 10 min each. When questioned, they said she didn't get along with the other dog and was shy and nervous around them. So you don't take the dogs out to the bathroom, great! End result dog came home with a bite mark on her neck and a bladder infection from not being taken out. When we called to complain, we were told they would check with their staff. We Never heard back from Christina. Never again will we use them. They don't take care of your pets the way they advertise or you're told they will. Horrid experiance
While we love to take our dog, Daisy, with us on vacation when we can, it is not always allowed or convenient. Almost Home Boarding & Grooming is exactly what the name says - It is her second home when she cannot be with us. Our Daisy runs into their facility with her tailing wagging because she loves it so much. The staff is extremely friendly and takes wonderful care of Daisy. Daisy is always happy when we pick her up! If you are looking at any old negative reviews, you should know that there are new owners that are amazing!
We love Ms. Jenna! My boys know Ms. Jenna's name and get excited to go see her. She's so sweet and patient with my two wild ones! They always smell so good and have the cutest hairstyles when they come home.
My first experience wasn't the greatest however my last two times using them have been fantastic the staff is very friendly
Great place to board our precious Sparky & Ginger! They had a wonderful time while in your care!
With short notice, Kim was able to fit our pet sitting needs into her schedule. She is very professional, personable and knowledgeable. We felt at ease leaving our kitties in her hands while we were gone. She made it possible for us to go away without stressing about the fur babies! There were detailed reports and pictures after every visit. She worked different methods to get one stubborn cat to take his medication. Plenty of play time was had after food, water, liter box, etc. Everything was done! Kim's services are well worth her rates. We will recommend her and use her services again.
Kim did a fantastic job with our furbabies, is trustworthy and kept us updated on their care as well as pictures and videos. I highly recommend her and will use her again should we need pet care in the future.
Kim was wonderful caregiver to our 2 dogs. She is dependable which put us at ease knowing someone was going to show up. She’s knowledgeable about pet behavior and provided a full report with each visit. We could enjoy being away knowing our pets were being cared for. We highly recommend Kim’s Backyard & Barnyard pet sitting if you need a pet sitter.
We are beyond happy with Kim’s services. And more important, Sunny adores her! She told us so! 😉😉 We love how Kim communicates with us, sends photos, and her app is so easy to use. We trust her explicitly. Sunny always seems to be so well taken care of, which is most important to us. Kim is, by far, the best pet sitter we have ever had. We all love her! 😘 Bea & Al Erdman
Why didn’t I find Kim earlier! She is thorough and takes very good care of our house and our babies!
Kim has been taking care of our fur babies, both dogs and cats, for 5 years! We trust her completely and the peace of mind that we have when we are away from home is priceless. We appreciate the constant communication and the app she uses provides detailed reports of each visit. She also sends fun pictures and videos! We highly recommend Kim - she is the best!!
Kim has been fantastic. She cares deeply about the animals and is willing to be flexible and talk out how to make our time away easy for us and our animals. We get regular updates when she visits and we never have to worry while away.
Kim is absolutely fabulous. I loved the daily updates she provided along with the pictures and videos she would send. By the second day, our dogs were giving her huggers and kisses! She is the best and I will be using her again to watch our fur babies.
Recently moved to NC from out of state. We needed to hire a pet sitter for an upcoming trip, and of course it can be stressful to figure out who to hire based on a search on Google. Especially when you're new to an area and don't know many people yet. I settled on Kim based on her excellent reviews. There is a reason that Kim is highly recommended. I NEVER wondered if my cats were ok while we were gone. Not once. Kim sent us reports via an app called Time to Pet for every visit made to our home, including photos and what she did for them during the visit. The app is insanely easy to use and I really like that it's a one stop shop for booking, payment, communication, etc. She is a true professional and excellent at what she does. If you're currently looking for someone to take great care of your pets and home while on vacation, the search should end here. She truly is wonderful!
If you are looking for a very reliable person to take care of your pets look no further. Kim is the absolute best. She really cares about what she does and the animals she cares for. She stays in touch with her community of people that use her pet sitting service. Honest, reliable and knows how important it is that pet parents feel very secure and happy the pet kiddos are cared for the best.
You could not find a better place to care for your pet than Country Kennel. They are courteous, professional, and adore all of the pets that come through their door. We have been taking our dog Mia to Country Kennel since she was a puppy and she has turned into a very well behaved, friendly, and social part of the family. I truly believe that providing Mia a chance to socialize with other dogs and people at Country Kennel played a big part in the development of her personality. If you are thinking about daycare or boarding, schedule a meet and greet with the staff. You won’t regret it.
Very kind and caring staff, very helpful and gives you peace of mind leaving them, dogs are very happy when they come home. Have left my dogs for over a 2 week stay and are very well taken care of. Will contact you with any concerns and you are able to check on them with fast response.Rusty, Kayda, & Mary Jane
Took my pup in for grooming and picked her up looking so adorable! Kenzie did a wonderful job on grooming her and making her look the cutest ever!!
My bulldog Tucker came home SO happy from his one week stay at Country Kennel! The whole staff is amazing and you know your dog is very loved and taken care of!
We just got our dog, Louie, groomed for the first time at Country Kennel and will definitely return. His haircut looked perfect and I loved walking into a place that didn't smell fully of dog. The facility felt very clean! Thanks for a great service. 😊 …
My husband and I took our dog Vader there for a meet and greet/doggie daycare. When I called to schedule this appointment the receptionist was friendly and answered all my questions. Vader had a good time sniffing all the new smells and giving the employees some love. We will definitely be taking him back for some more play time and boarding in the near future.
Country Kennel has always been great to our pups. Every phone call or personal interaction has been professional and meaningful. We recently had our 6 month old puppy groomed there by Kenzie, and she was wonderful. Our pups first haircut was amazing and she earned our future business for our other dog as well. Highly recommend Country Kennel!
My husband and I took our dog, Abby in today to have her groomed… What a great experience! Kenzie did a fantastic job! Abby looks great! Thank you!!
My Dog loves the staff of Country Kennel. She recently received a grooming session and really looks great. She Smells good and the cut was perfect. Thank you!
I believe Country Kennel provides a very thorough boarding facility for our dog. She seemed to be well taken care of and came back to us as a happy/healthy dog. I will continue to board her there since Tazzy told me she had a good time over this past weekend
Lily has been going to Ruff Housing since she was just a puppy and she’s almost 6 years old now. She really enjoys it and I love when she’s had a happy day and comes home tired!
my dog ADORES daycare she’s always super excited and instantly knows where we’re going, she’s made so many friends there and is super tired and sleeps hard when it’s time to go home! she always has such a great experience!
Delta our 6 month old German Shepherd puppy was picked up from Boarding and Daycare on 9-24. Shortly after arriving home a harsh cough, lethargy, and fever were evidently present. As concerned parents, Delta was taken to the after hours emergency vet hospital. After a detailed assessment, blood work and chest x-ray; Delta was diagnosed with pneumonia. The vet suggested that he possibly had been showing symptoms for 24-48 hours. Leaving a pet to be boarded for 6 days is already stressful and emotional at baseline. For us to pick up a sick puppy and have no communication in his obvious change of health, causes most upset and disappointment. Even Delta’s daily “report cards” mentioned no change in behavior or health, and suggested quite the opposite. Our key point is that his declining health was either unnoticed or it was ignored and neglected, both major issues for an establishment caring for animals. Additionally, our other dog, Judy, who has started attending day care is also suffering from the same diagnoses. To have one puppy diagnosed with pneumonia is one thing but to now have a second dog suffering is unacceptable. We were not informed or given a phone call about Delta. We are all around extremely disappointed and concerned, and upset. After the diagnosis we reached out to management to inform them of Delta's condition. They denied any decline in his health and stated he was in perfect health. This is contradictory to what the vet told us , and a blatant lie. We have several questions. If there was an outbreak of this going on throughout the daycare, what is the protocol for infections/ outbreaks of illness, do you notify owners of quarantine during boarding? Now as of October 21st we are still dealing with Delta's lingering Pneumonia, as we have just had to make another trip to the vet for reoccurring symptoms. I could not recommend this establishment any less. If you want peace of mind during the day or when you are boarding your family member this is the last place I would bring my Dog. I would leave negative stars if I could.
Highly recommend! My doggie stayed 3 nights and was so happy to be there. Thank you for taking such great care of my buddy, Tyson-McFlurry 🐾 …
Best experience!! I was very nervous to leave my dog for the first time but all the cameras that you have access to watch are AMAZING!! They send you pictures and update you on how the day was for your dog which I appreciate. Safe to say she had a blast and we will be coming back. Often!
Took my 4 month old puppy for her first haircut. They originally canceled my first appointment and scheduled me weeks later. Which is fine. But I told them not to shave her and they did just that. Not to mention it wasn’t blended well and left most of her hair on her head and still needs it to be trimmed. I’m going to another place tomorrow to have them fix it up. But I’m very upset that they shaved her when I specifically said not to over the phone with the groomer. They didn’t trim her nails when I had paid for it. The manager was nice and gave us a refund. However I do not recommend. I’ve added before and after photos.
Ruff Housing is my dog's favorite place! She knows when she is going and gets super excited all the way to there. When she gets home, she's out like a light because she's played so hard all day. The staff is very friendly and they all know my dog by name. They are also very helpful in working wheen an issue may arise.
I brought my dog in for boarding + a spa trim at the end of May. I was under the impression that a spa trim included 'face, feet, and fanny" + a nail trim. When I picked up my dog, not only were her feet and nails NOT trimmed, the fur on the entire rest of her body had been cut for some reason, and extremely poorly - her fur is choppy, uneven, and frankly, she looks really bad! The front desk workers were and have been extremely kind and refunded me, but I was denied the ability to have my dog’s coat fixed by a groomer at another Ruff Housing location (I do not want the groomer who did this touching my dog again), unless I want to pay full price for a groom my dog only needs because the Greensboro groomer ruined her coat. I am extremely disappointed and will not be bringing my dog back in the future. I have attached pictures of her fur where you can see how uneven she was cut (when she wasn’t even supposed to have a groom to begin with).
My kids love it here. The staff is so attentive and cares deeply about every pup that walks or runs through the door. The best part is the pictures you can receive. My Loki (the tan one) was always bullied by other dogs during daycare at other places, but Greensboro did everything in their power to ensure that he was in a bully free group and can thrive. They even paid special attention to my hyper child and made sure to provide him with extra stimulation to help him relax. After being here for any amount of time they come home and sleep peacefully. Majority of the time they almost jump out of the car when they figure out where we are going.
Willow absolutely loved her first day at doggy daycare! She’s a 5 month old chocolate lab with TONS of energy. The staff members are super sweet and helpful. They kept me updated on how she was doing. Willow even made a new friend! She’s looking forward to visiting again. Thank you for taking care of my sweet pup!
This was my first time boarding my 4 month old pit bull terrier, Jewel, and I was very nervous!! However, Lucky’s did great! They gave me updates, called with suggestions based on how Jewel was adjusting, and made sure she came home smelling nice and fresh!! Thank you all so much and Jewel will happily be returning!
I’ve been boarding my 7 yr old blue pit, Axel, at Lucky’s for about 5 1/2 yrs now. He usually stays for long weekends, perhaps 4-5 times a year, and then a 7-8 day or even 14-15 day stay once a year. We adopted another pit bull, Kimmy, 6 months ago and she has stayed a couple times already. We just picked up both of them from a 15 day stay, Kimmy’s longest. The folks at Lucky’s get to know my dogs well and several of them love spending personal time with each of them. I’m glad to get feedback on how they each did. They even gave both dogs a special (free) celebration, for which I received pictures, during this recent stay when I mentioned it was Axel’s Gotcha day and Kimmy’s birthday! Many folks have been there a long time as well.
We are thrilled with our experience at Lucky's!! Everyone was super nice and accommodating. I was able to drop off our cat at 7am and still make it to work on time! They bathed her and kept her entertained all day until I could pick her up. The groomer was awesome and even got a picture of during grooming and all for a great price! Not to mention the facilities are fantastic! Will definitely be back!
1st timer here: I was looking for a place to board my critters, AKA "the monsters" and "the zoo," for holiday travel. When I called Lucky's I spoke to the nicest person on the phone. She was very knowledgeable and seemed to care about me and was not rushed with my many questions. The day I visited, I ran into a friend who has been using Lucky's since it opened - I felt it was probably going to work for me. I was given a tour of the premises, not rushed or pushy, and by the end I was sold and left a deposit! Fast-forward to the recent stay. The drop-off was very efficient, making sure they had all details needed for each critter. For pick-up no problems, a quick clean up for one, that was not expected - it was a gold star moment for me! I think they all had a great time - I even received a text with a collage of the Zoo while away!! They all came home happy and ready to run and play some more at home. They were more clingy, wait, that's normal - ha! Shout out to the manager Kristie and the entire staff at Lucky's Pet Resort! We will be back :-)
My dog Kody loves going to LUCKY’S for daycare and boarding. They take great care of my sweet baby and he’s always exhausted when I pick him up. The staff is really friendly and Kristy is Awesome!
Top notch service as always! Lucky’s staff is always so friendly and helpful. They treat my Brody like he’s part of their family. Grooming is always on point, I never have to doubt or worry what he will look like when I pick him up. When on vacation Kristi made sure I got updates on What’sAapp since my fur baby has epilepsy . This meant a lot to me to know they cared enough to make sure I wasn’t worried. I have been a luck’s client since they opened and plan to be one for a long time!
Today was my dog’s first day at Lucky’s daycare. The staff is super friendly and very informative. I was able to watch my dog play in the play room by logging into the camera from my computer. That is just awesome. He looked like he was having so much fun! He came home super tired because he played all day!
Thank you for taking Teddy at the last minute when I was in the hospital! I love the staff & all the special treatment Teddy 🐶 gets when he is there! …
I’m sure our dogs were taken well care of, but I was disappointed that they didn’t refrigerate their can dog food. When the partially used Can was returned to me, it was warm. I opened up the lid and it contained mold and was discolored. I hope our dogs do not become sick because their food wasn’t stored appropriately.
Lucky’s was amazing! They were extremely accommodating for our handful of a Pitbull who is experiencing complicated health issues and isn’t pet friendly over the Thanksgiving holiday. Even with being booked nearly to capacity, the entire staff went above and beyond to keep her separated, comfortable, and personal time spent with her during her stay. We will surely be back if ever needing to travel with her to the Greensboro area, and would recommend Lucky’s to anyone looking for pet boarding of any kind!
Willow Run is amazing! From the moment I dropped off my dogs, I felt confident they would in the best hands. The staff is so caring and treats every dog like family. The facilities are clean, spacious, and perfect for boarding. My boys came home happy, healthy, and tired from all the fun. It’s clear they go above and beyond to make every dog feel loved and safe. I can’t recommend Willow Run enough—thank you for taking such great care of my babies 🙂.
We’ve always had wonderful experiences with boarding our dogs at Willow Run Boarding. Our interactions with the owners have always left us with peace on vacation knowing that our pets are being well taken care of. We cannot recommend them enough!
I've boarded my dogs here a couple times. One of them had to see a vet this last visit and they took care of all of the transportation and logistics of the vet trip. It put me at ease while on my beach trip. Excellent and friendly staff. Dogs will be dogs...
This place and its owners are absolutely terrific. I had never boarded my German Shepherd because of his anxiety. Willow Run went to great lengths to ensure he was comfortable...putting my mind at total ease while on vacation. The facility was clean, and you can tell they genuinely treat every animal they're keeping like they would their own. 10/10 recommend this place.
Our dogs have been boarded at Willow Run with Mike and Laura for the past 4 years. We are so happy that we have found them and trust and know that our dogs are always well cared for. Being able to travel knowing they are safe and happy is so important to us. We always add a trail walk and bring our own food and toys to help the transition. Patty and Boris wag their tails and are happy to go off with Mike when we arrive, that says it all!
I always know that my dogs are in good hands when I'm traveling and I don't have to worry while I'm away from home. Mike and Laura genuinely care about all of the dogs they board. They are especially vigilant and sweet with my shy dogs and are always able to win them over!
Was told they don't take cards over the phone When I called not that they don't take credit debit cards period had to go back out. Was boarded with my brothers two dogs and was told we would be charged family rates. At pickup they changed the price. Left with instructions our dog doesn't always eat immediately they never watched them eat so our dog probably hasn't eaten much others probably ate it other dog has food allergy. Only take dogs out 2 times a day alone. Only 2hrs for pickup. Never again
Absolutely the best boarding kennel we've used. The owners are kind and welcoming. Nothing about this place felt contrived. I knew from the moment I walked in, my dogs would love it here. On our first meet and greet, Mike sat on the floor, and my dogs followed suit. They had a great stay, and are already booked for their next sleep over.
They are wonderful! I would highly recommend them for your pet babies! I have an extremely “enthusiastic” large breed that does not do well in a typical boarding kennel environment or daycares. In the past, we had trouble with her boarding because if she doesn’t have enough room to run in her kennel, she will misbehave (jump, nip, cartwheel and try to break free) when she was taken out on a leash for potty breaks, trying to release pent-up energy. Here she’s able to see other dogs in her run and use up energy so she not quite so crazy 😜 Rhea isn’t a fan of men for some reason, but she absolutely loves Mike! She couldn’t be happier to see him and his wife when we go to Willow Run and even leaves a tinkle trail of happiness for him lol. If you’re looking for a great place to feel at ease when leaving your babies, this is the place! I could not ask for a better boarding facility! Great people!
Mike and Laura are very concerned about your pet(s). We have left Peppa with them several times while out of town. I know they take care of her. This time we left our son's dog, Orion, with them along with Peppa. Orion does not like boarding; however he seemed to adjust well. I will definitely use Willow Run in the future.
