I have been trusting my dogs with Chelsey since 2010! Agreeing with another reviewer, Chelsey is truly a dog whisperer! I have large rescue dogs with even bigger personalities. In Chelsey’s care they stand at attention eager to please and excited to get play with the other dogs in the park during their weekly pick up days!! They come home exhausted and so happy! When I go out of town, it’s the best feeling knowing they are with Chelsey on her 10 acre ranch roaming free and in great hands! Chelsey is wonderful at sending pictures and keeping in touch daily! They are picked up and returned home making travel so much easier. Of course I miss them so much, but it gives me peace of mind knowing they are not missing me and having the time of their lives!! Sometimes we do more for our dogs than we do for ourselves, having Chelsey pick up your dogs for weekly play or to stay, is a benefit for you both!!

My dogs joined the KMCR playgroups in 2016 and we’ve never looked back. Chelsey-Rae is truly a dog whisperer. Whether the dogs are at group or doing overnights at her farm I have peace of mind knowing they are in the best hands. This is one of the best dog-care offerings in Austin! 10/10 recommend for keeping your dogs happy, socialized and in attentive, thoughtful care! Not to mention my dogs LOVE HER.

We LOVE this service. Our dog loves it more. He waits by the window on playgroup days. They send pictures of all the pups running around at different locations. He always comes home happy and exhausted. Same for boarding.

Chelsey is fantastic - great pet care (sitting and walking). She's been great with our dogs over the past almost ten years.

We are so happy with KMCR Petcare. We were gone for over a week, and they took wonderful care of our two cats. We received daily updates with video and photo. Most importantly, our cats were not mad at us when we got home! They are usually a little salty when we leave, but clearly they were comfortable with the sitters.

I trust Chelsea like an extension of me- as a loving dog momma, expansive soul, and on-point diagnostician and solver of every dang dog related thing. I love her, and my dogs love her. Roman has been in her care for 5 yrs and he slobbers her with kisses EVERY TIME he sees her!

This is run by a kind man out of his home. He gives the dogs time to play while keeping them out of the hot sun as much as possible. We've been using him for four years and wouldn't go anywhere else. It's not a day spa or anything but it does our dogs well and they love going there.

We boarded our cow dog here while we were out for a week on Christmas vacation. I never once worried about him while we were gone as I knew he would be in good hands. The owner even sent photos of him playing with his other K9 friends. When he was kenneled indoors due to weather, he had plenty of space and they kept the indoor temperature nice and warm when the outside temps dropped below freezing.

We take our 80 pound collie here 3-4 times each year for grooming. We've also boarded her here a few times. We always receive our dog in beautiful shape. She is happy and well-cared for here. People who take this much pride in their work are hard to come by! Highly recommend and I will most definitely be taking my dog (and future dogs) here forever.

Christie and Gail are amazing. They are so good at what they do.. before bringing my dog Ninja there, I tried multiple trainers with zero progress. And ultimately I had zero hope for him, and started considering giving my dog away because he was very anxious & reactive, has bit me multiple times, and has attacked my other dog more times than I can count. It was tough to live with him. Now he is not anxious at all, not reactive, I can literally walk right past another dog without him even paying attention to it. I can bring him in public places like restaurants/bars, and he just sits there calm. He is extremely obedient now. Listens on command. It’s such a pleasure training him as he just wants to please you. K9 Mastery has restored my relationship with my dog, we have structure in our day to day lives, and if you’re in a position of having no hope with your dog, K9 mastery should be your last option before giving up. In fact, she did such a great job with Ninja, I immediately dropped my other dog off right after just because how impressed I was with the results. 10/10 recommend!

Christie and her team are miracle workers. I would give them 500 stars if I could! Our family rescued a young German Shepherd mix who had such severe anxiety that we could barely get her to walk past our yard. She was fearful of other dogs and dangerous around people (even members of our own family) because she was so scared. After five weeks of board and train with Christie, she was a completely different dog. She now can go on long walks and loves any other dog she meets and can run and play for hours. Christie’s training didn’t just help our family, it gave our dog the confidence she needs to live a happy life. We are forever grateful to her and love her beautiful facility.

Christie and her team are pros! They can handle any kind of dog and have all the accommodations and activities to make your dog feel at home while you're away. I've been taking my dog there for 3 years. He's not the easiest pup to manage and her team does a great job. I also did Christie’s training program. My dog was 10 at the time and after 30 days I had a new dog. He walks perfectly in lock step and his anxiety has diminished significantly from where it was. My friends have done this same program with the same results. 10/10 would recommend.

We sent our GSD Billie to board and train for a month. I cannot recommend Christie and her program enough! Our dog was a good dog but now she is great! Christie took excellent care of her, even managed to help her gain weight which we’ve been trying to do since she was a pup. Billie came home happier, calmer, and looking for instructions. Our entire dynamic has changed for the better. Christie is extremely knowledgeable and keeps things simple. If you’re looking for a way to build a better relationship with your dog, be able to take them everywhere with you, and do away with bad behaviors this is the place for you.

This place is amazing! I have a dog that can be aggressive/reactive so finding a place to board him with skilled people to handle him is hard so when I stumbled upon this place I was impressed. The facility is beautifully tucked away on acreage, and very secure. I boarded my dog for a trial run for 2 nights and he seemed to have a blast and was so exhausted when he came home! Christie (owner) was very prompt and helpful in answering my questions via email before scheduling and the staff was friendly and welcoming upon drop off/pick up. They do all scheduling and dog pictures through the online portal which is very easy to navigate. I would 10/10 recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

Christie and the team at K9 Mastery are highly skilled and passionate dog trainers. Christie’s knowledge of canine behavior is unparalleled and it was with her help that we were able to lay down foundational obedience training with our dog and thus making all of our lives much more enjoyable. Our sweet boy was a stray who was abandoned by his owner in our neighborhood park. Without having any knowledge of his history we quickly discovered that we were going to need help from a professional in order to ease the transition into our home. A reliable source told me that she had worked with Christie in order to curb some of her dog’s undesirable behavior and so we contacted Christie and soon he was off for a month learning how to respond appropriately to the equipment used to correct undesirable behavior and enforce basic obedience. Christie has an amazing 43 acres where dogs get to both learn and play under the care of a dedicated team. I was initially intimidated by Christie as she has a very direct and clear approach to working with dogs and their owners. But I soon learned that she is fiercely protective of the well-being of dogs and she has made it her mission to train their owners in order to ensure safety for all. I grew to appreciate the ways in which Christie pushed me to be a more confident dog owner and human being. I am forever grateful for her guidance and genuine desire to create healthy and secure relationships between dogs and their owners. Thank you Christie!!

Christie is amazing! She showed my wife and I that you can teach an old stubborn dog new tricks. Our 9 yr old pitbull, Hoss, was dog aggressive and lacked any obedience training when we found him as a stray. After nine weeks of board & train at K9 Mastery, his behavior has improved immensely. He behaves around other dogs, loves following commands, and he's great on the leash. The way Christie trains keeps him happy and feeling accomplished. He came home after 9 weeks ready to continue learning and obeying, he loves his training sessions! The transition back home to Houston went well for Hoss because Christie did such a good job educating us as owners. I would highly recommend K9 Mastery to anyone seeking any type of dog training services.

Our very social, 16 month old Doberman, Jax, came to us when he was 8 months old. He didn't have formal on-leash training, and while he did make progress, we needed some help getting him to the point where we could trust him not to pull and follow our commands. Our big baby, is 100 pounds, so it was imperative for us to be able to trust him to listen while we were on walks and in public. We heard about K9 Mastery, and watched all of the videos on the website, and we were very impressed. My husband and I knew that Jax would benefit from the formal training, and decided to send him to the Board and Train Program. He is about a month post training, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Jax's listening skills during our walks and outings are excellent, and strangers often comment to me on what a good dog we have. We can't thank Christie enough for all of her hard work, and we plan on sending him in the near future for the next phase of training. If you are looking for someone to train your dog; I highly recommend K9 Mastery to your training needs.

Great experience!! The location and personal bungalows are so perfect! Just what I was looking for for my pup! I was nervous as this was our first time boarding her but they made me feel very comfortable and the add ins were a nice bonus for Millie’s stay. This is our new go to place!

Christie is amazing. We adopted a dog from a shelter who was highly reactive to people and other dogs but very sweet to us. We were concerned that someone would get bitten if we didn’t fix this. After 2 trainers said he may never be able to be around people or dogs, we found Christie. We just finished the 7- week basic obedience class and I can’t believe this is the same dog. We can walk him around people and dogs and he is totally fine. What a blessing! I highly recommend her for anyone who needs training. As long as you follow her directions and practice every week, you will have a happy, well-behaved dog.

This is the 3rd time I've boarded my dog here. I know he will be well taken care of, and it gives me peace of mind when I'm traveling. The location is ideal because I can drop off/pick up on my way to and from the airport. I like that they offer an add-on bath service so that he is nice and clean when I pick him up. The staff is attentive and friendly, and I will continue to use Barking Springs Ranch for future trips!

We left our dog with them for the first time this summer. He had a 2 week vacation at the ranch and loved every second of it. Lots of space to move around and water to cool off in, which he loves. The staff was so kind and easy to work. It seemed like a very chill environment which is great for Beau.

I love taking my dog here for daycare or boarding. The staff is very friendly and organized. My dog is the most excited when he gets to go here. His ears perk up immediately if I say “Alisha”! They take great care of the dogs even in extreme weather conditions (like a winter storm…) I always recommend this place for dog boarding to all my friends and family.

Our pup Max always has a blast here! He always comes back tired and happy. They have such wonderful staff that always remember his name and he wags his tail and runs to them so excited and doesn’t even look back! They are also very easy to book with. We always take Max here to board and we never worry about him. Plus they have a great Instagram account where they put up pictures of the pups so we can check on them while we are away.

I live in the same neighborhood of Barking Springs Barking Ranch. My experience was excellent! They are kind, caring and professional. The dogs that were there seemed very happy to be there. When I came for the meet and greet play date, there was another dog who was just over the moon to return. They are also flexible if you have to drop off your dog during they’re closed hours. They make it very easy and safe to do a drop off. I recommend this place 100%!! it feels so good to know that there is a place I could feel confident and secure about leaving my dog while we are away.

Great, personalized service. Lots of outdoor time for our dog. We've found Duke's home away from home. Updated after a change of ownership and policy last year: they no longer take intact males, so Duke can't enjoy Barking Springs anymore. We were disappointed in this change because they were one of the few places which would take Duke.

We loving refer to this spot as “the ranch” or “sleep away camp!” Our dog Gus has been going there since we adopted him in 2016. They are so good with him even as he ages and becomes more cranky. We love the staff and the new facilities are wonderful!

We have been very happy with this place. Our dog just got back from a week there. I think he had fun. The scheduling process is a breeze. Availability seems really good. They are amazing at communication. Price was good. The only thing I’d love is a pic or two of my dog while I’m away. ;)
