Highly trustworthy, competent, non-smoking animal lover.
Jinnie took great care of our cat Suki and they became firm friends during her stay. Jinnie was communicative and organised prior to the visit which helped. She was friendly and we had some lovely chats when we returned home.

Loving, adventurous professionals seek amazing pets to cuddle
Erin is an amazing pet sitter. This is her second time to sit with Gracie, which made the hand-off go smoothly. She sent me frequent mini-video updates and asked great questions about minor health issues. I could tell how much Gracie loved her by watching the two of them say their farewells. Erin will always be my first choice when traveling if she is available to return!

Ed did a great job with our dog, Sadie. The house looked like no one had been there and Sadie really took to him. Thanks, Ed

John was amazing with Chester - took great care of him and kept me updated often as to how he was doing. He took me to the airport and collected me when I returned. What more could you want. The perfect sitter!

Carlinda and Kent were the absolute best sitters for our three dogs. We are rarely able to get away for an extended period of time. Carlinda and Kent provided the best care we could have asked for. While we were away, one of our pups needed some medical attention....we simply lucked out by having such amazing caregivers...from vet appointments to constant updates, we knew that we had nothing to worry about. We would HIGHLY recommend Carlinda and Kent and truly hope that we can have them back.....our boys miss them ;-)

Worry-free vacay as Professor and Malcolm provide best of care for house and pet
Patrick is an exceptional house / petsitter. He's very pleasant, communicative and responsible. He exercised my 2 pups regularly. My house was as clean when I returned as it was when I left. He even did some home repair! He brought his own pup Malcolm, who is a gem. Malcolm and one of my pups became fast friends. I recommend Patrick with absolutely no reservations.

Female Traveller in Her 20s Eager to Care for Your Pets & Home!
Kate arrived on time, spent the night and got familiar with the house, was even kind enough to drop me at the airport. Came home to a happy dog, a spotless house and barely any evidence that she had even been here. Perfect sitter. 10/10

Warm, trustworthy caretaker of your home and family pets. Love cats and dogs.
Lori took great care of pumpernickel and the house. Pumpernickel was still happy and relaxed when we returned after a 12 day absence and the house was neater and cleaner than when we left. We would highly recommend Lori as a pet/house sitter.

Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.
This was the 3rd time that Jill sat for us. That says it all but please read our previous reviews. They all stand and Jill is one of the best and most reliable and loving pet sitters we’ve ever had. If you have a chance to have her in your home and caring for your pets, you will be absolutely delighted. We love her.
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
We had the pleasure of having Tara as our house sitter while we were away, and we can't praise her enough for the fantastic job she did. Not only did she take excellent care of our home, but she also showed tremendous love and attention to our beloved dogs. From the moment Tara walked through the door, we could tell she had a genuine passion for animals. She immediately bonded with our dogs, and they seemed completely at ease with her. Throughout our trip, she provided us with regular updates and photos, which truly put our minds at ease knowing our boys were in great hands. Tara took great care of our home as well. It was evident that she respected our space and coming back home, we found everything just as we left it, if not even better! We highly recommend Tara to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring house sitter. Her communication was excellent, and she proved herself to be a responsible and dedicated individual. If you want to ensure your pets and home are in the best hands while you're away, Tara is the perfect choice. Thank you, Tara, for taking such incredible care of our dogs and home. You made our trip stress-free, and we're truly grateful.
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
Ramona and Brandon were the perfect sitters! They rescued me and were very accommodating with my needs. Ramona's communication with me was A1. We spoke multiple times before she arrived and throughout the sit. She was good at keeping me updated and I was very grateful for that, being so far away. The pets gravitated toward them from the moment they arrived and you could see that all she and Brandon wanted to do was spoil the pets with lots of cuddles. My female pup was in heat and they handled that very well and were able to keep her and my male dog separated. I could only imagine how exhausting that may have been but they didn't complain one bit. Ramona and Brandon had to hand over the sit to another sitter and were kind enough to write out the details and everything they observed to make the transition a seamless one. I must say, it helped tremendously. I'd have them back in a heartbeat to sit for me as they showed that I could trust them, not only to take care of my pets but to respect my home they way they would their own. Thanks again for making my trip away worth it!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. I highly recommend Janis and you will be fortunate to have her as your sitter.
Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people. I give Angela and Joe my highest recommendation and feel that anyone would be very lucky to have them their sitters! I hope that they return to sit here again.
Heath spent a long weekend at my home taking great care of both dogs and the cat. He was able to help out on rather short notice, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in his care. Heath is friendly and reliable and left my home neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend him as a house/pet sitter for future assignments!

Cannot recommend Ron and Dog Days Pet Services enough! My precious Oliver attends daycare Monday-Friday with Ron, and it is such a relief to know he is in good hands and I don’t need to worry while I’m at work. Many people tell me Oliver is the one of the sweetest and most social dogs they’ve ever met, and I tell them it’s all thanks to Ron and the time Ollie spends with him and his doggos! Oliver has severe separation anxiety and could not be home alone or in a crate when I first got him (he would have panic attacks and hurt himself), but with Ron’s help, now Oliver is comfortable being alone whether he is loose or in a crate. Highly recommend for all training, boarding, and daycare needs!
Our puppy Chase was a little fireball , I could not manage or train him , I heard adult Ron , gave him a call , he came and worked diligently with Chase , had lots of patience, Chase was so stubborn, , he would push your last button. Ron did an awesome job with him . Chase is now still a fireball , much more well behaved . I highly recommend Ron for training . Lavon
I hired dog days pet services to care for my 3 dogs while I went to the beach for a few days and they did a phenomenal job. The owners name is Ron and he is very educated and knowledgeable in dog training as well. My dogs loved him. I don’t go out of town too often because I’d rather be home with my dogs. It was very comforting to know that they were in good hands while I was gone. Seems like they had a fun and positive experience out of me going to the beach which was unexpected. I plan to use dog days pet services for training, boarding, and drop in visits in the future and I highly recommend for others to do the same. I couldn’t be happier with the services provided!
Ron is amazing with dogs! All positive reinforcement which I loved. He was very helpful with training our 1yr pup and we just loved him. He helped me understand a few steps in training I was missing and couldn't get past. 100% worth the money and effort. Seriously can't say enough good things!
Ron does such an awesome job! I have three beagles, one of which was a puppy (because I choose chaos). He did drop-in care for the two older ones and boarded/puppy trained the other one. When I tell you I was so impressed with what he trained our puppy to do! It was truly amazing. Also, one of my dogs is skittish at first of people. So I knew it was a great sign when she ran up to him after just meeting him! This is the guy you want for all your dog services. Cannot recommend enough.
Great experience. Not only has Ron worked with my puppy, but he works with me to improve my understanding of what my puppy is communicating to me and gives me a lot of tools to be the best pet parent I can be. He has been accessible anytime I have questions, need suggestions or just to check-in on how we are doing to see if he can help in any way.
We originally found Ron through Rover when looking for someone to check in on our older dog and puppy. I’d never used a service like this before and I admit I was a little skeptical letting a stranger into our house but after meeting Ron once all my fears were assuaged! Ron first scheduled a meet and greet to meet the pups and discuss our needs. After that, he handled anything from walks, potty breaks, medications, and dinner time. He started working on some basic training with our puppy and we eventually completed a 3 week training course and our 7 month old puppy is better behaved than I could have imagined! Both our pups (& their humans) will miss Ron so much! Can’t recommend him highly enough.
Ron is, quite simply, the best in the area to care for you and your pets in any capacity. I have known and seen Ron with his, mine, and others' pets for 15+ years. His knowledge, love and compassion cannot be beat. I would trust him with my dog and have NO hesitation that whatever I've hired him to do will be done with a professional ethic and my dogs both adored him.
Ron is my go-to guy for boarding when I have to be out of town. I love that he maintains my rules/training but also provides great interaction for Simon as things are usually very quiet and non-eventful here at home. It's like Simon gets to go to Ron 'camp' when I am out of town. I love that Simon loves Ron and that's all the peace of mind I need to trust my sweet boy in Ron's care.
Dog Days Pet Services is nothing short of amazing! We have three dogs, all female and all with a high percentage of cattle dog, so lots of energy and potential for seeking top-dog status. Ron at Dog Days helped us (i.e., the people) learn how to work with our dogs to stop unwanted behavior before it began. Simple things, such as how to putt on a harness or leash while redirecting over-excitement about an anticipated walk. Or having the dogs sit and wait for the release to eat the meal that was put in front of them. I never thought the Chihuahua-cattle dog would wait for her meal, but she has learned to do this, making meal times less stressful. We've recommended Dog Days to several friends who have issues more severe than ours - issues such as nipping, guarding, or being highly reactive. It's been gratifying to hear about their satisfaction with what they've learned as dog parents and how their dogs have changed into better citizens. Very important - Ron and Dog Days' training methods are based on positive reinforcement. The love of dogs and the belief (with evidence of behavior) that they can be taught to understand what we want of them is strongly evident in teaching methods and results. We adopted our third rescue female, a cattle dog-lab mix, when she was just shy of a year old and filled with exuberance. We thank Ron and Dog Days for helping us manage her energy and get her focused on activities that can be rewarded. We **highly** recommend Dog Days Pet Services! If you put in the work to follow through on Ron's techniques, you can't fail your dog and you will have the best dog ever in your life.
I love this place. I have been bringing my dog chip (2 year old dachshund) for the past year and he has been having a blast. He has made so many friends and every time I get off work and come pick him up he is just the happiest pup in the world. I recently took a vacation out of the country and I trusted them with everything in me to take care of my dog. I called a couple of times to check on him and was told he was going great! Which I was so happy to hear as he means the world to me. Chip will keep enjoying their daycare and the prices are so reasonable. I am very grateful to have been recommended this place as all the other ones I have tried didn’t treat their dogs the best. I highly recommend lakeforest I have even spoken to the manager personally about my concerns and she was just a delight and the staff are all so welcoming and sweet. For a dog kennel they always manage to make it smell so clean and refreshing. It has just been the best experience chip and I have had. ❤️
I have boarded my dog here and taken them to the next door vet for years and they have never done me wrong! My dog always comes back happy and is just as excited when he comes back to play with his kennel friends. Lexy and the whole staff are super kind and make me feel like family.
We had several ok experiences with Lake Forest Boarding, but the most recent one has spoiled it all. We have a very friendly golden doodle who we trusted in the care of Lake Forest for just over a week while we were away on a summer vacation. We booked him for playtime everyday as well as a kennel bath on the last day. We were called a few days before pick up to inform us that they were not going to be able to give him a bath, not a huge deal. We picked him up, prepared for the stinky pup that we have come to expect after 10 days of running and playing in a boarding facility with other dogs. Instead, he smelled like the shampoo we had him groomed with just days before we dropped him off. After reviewing his check sheet, it became clear that he did not have time out of the kennel each day, or even most days. It was documented that he had one afternoon in playtime. Upon further investigation, his check sheet was signed off that he was given food on days he was not even there while it was not initialed that he was fed and walked every day that he was there. Thank goodness he didn’t require medication, because who knows if/when he had been given any medication. When we brought this to their attention, we were given several different stories and the blame was continuously passed onto someone else. The only resolution was that we were not going to have to pay for the playtime that he did not receive… We did not drop our dog off to spend 10 days trapped in a kennel alone. I am very concerned with how Lake Forest looks after for the pets we trust in their care. We will absolutely not be using this boarding facility in the future, and would not recommend this kennel to anyone who wants their pet to be appropriately cared for while they are away.
Horrible! Cole answered the phone, and was told they do not accept new patients, however they advertise at that. I was referred to by a previous customer who will no longer be going as well, due to the rudeness of Cole. I was told to give them a call, as the other groomer was having car trouble, and was told to call and get the other groomer to take my puppy, and he told me that that’s not possible, as there is not room, and they are not taking new clients. You need to inform your groomers of that, before accepting others and giving false information! If one is accepting, and the other says the whole team isn’t accepting? Then who is lying. Cole has horrible customer service, and shouldn’t be able to communicate with customers if he can’t get his facts straight.
my dog loves it here! the staff here are lovely and are always super friendly! i love the fact that my baby always comes home happy, healthy, and tired from all of the playing! ❤️❤️
A+ All Around Had my dog groomed and boarded many times over a five years until his passing of liver cancer. They are a caring and compassionate business.
I have been taking my 3 1/2 year old German shepherd dog to Lake Forest boarding, daycare and grooming for well over 2 years. She goes at least 4 days a week, either full or 1/2 days. I feel so lucky to have this wonderful place to take my dog. She is so well taken care of by the highly competent, professional, friendly staff. The entire staff is knowledgeable about animal behavior, socialization, training, playtime, etc. If there are any concerns, someone will call me right away. In all of the time we have taken our dog to Lake Forest for boarding or daycare, we have not had a single bad day. The fact that they offer half days at half price is convenient and economical. The facility is clean and sanitized every day. All of the staff love the dogs and have their best interests in mind. They are open 7 days a week, which helps those clients who work on Sundays. I honestly don't know what I would do without this wonderful place and the people who work there. I highly recommend Lake Forest to anyone who needs a warm, friendly, caring place to take their beloved pets.
Love the work but as for being professional they need help they never return calls and cancel appointments and no call back to reschedule very unprofessional will never go back
Very impressed with this boarding facility! The employees are polite and helpful and remembered my dogs after just one visit! They also offer unscheduled tours of the facility and that transparency made me feel so much more comfortable. My dogs are always excited to go go here and come home tired from running and playing! Highly recommend!
I hesitated to write this review and wanted to give our dog a week to re-adjust to being home but her behavior has not changed. The first time we took our dog here and came to pick her up she came home with a wagging tail! This past time we picked up our dog, the worker brought our dog out with her collar on incorrectly and her head was down with no tail wagging. She seemed very unhappy which is unlike our dog who enjoys meeting new people and playing with other dogs. Since we have brought her home, her behavior has been different. She doesn't like to be cuddled now and is very jumpy when you go to pet her until she realizes it's one of us. We called to ask if anything had happened and of course the response was no, we proceed to ask what their daily routine is at the kennel and could not be provided with one. If I was provided with some information about her stay (i.e how she interacted with the other dogs, if she ate all of her food, how long she played outside, anything), I may have felt a little better about her stay but with no information it concerns me. I would not recommend this place if you want your dog to enjoy their time at a kennel, she was only there for two days she should not have been traumatized. I would like to note the vet at Lake Forest Animal Hospital, Dr. Holly, has been very responsive with trying to touch bases with us to figure out what has happened and has provided a few recommendations to help ease her anxiety. I do recommend Lake Forest Animal Hospital with five stars but we will be taking our dog to another kennel the next time she has to be boarded.
Love this place! Only local place with an amazing set up for bathing and grooming your pet yourself to save on costs..I highly recommend them!
Petcraze kept our sweet girl while traveling and I felt confident she was in good hands. A customer who was ahead of me saw I was boarding our doggo and gave high praise of Petcraze's facilities. The front desk folks are warm and organized. If this is your first time boarding be prepared to spend some time filling out a long intake form. Maybe 15min or so. I'm glad they asked these questions.
The self wash stations for bathing your dogs is wonderful! They provide several different shampoos and conditioner, as well as towels and grooming tools and aprons. The fee is based on size of dog, but is well worth it. We will be frequent visitors! Thank you for having this option for pet owners.
Great place to board your pets! My dogs had such a great time and good pricing for what you get. Will continue to use their services.
Great place! They have pet care products, toys, food & supplements, boarding options, and grooming. They also have options for a self-serve pet wash where all of the shampoos, conditioner, brushes, and other grooming products are available for use at no additional cost. They have a High velocity air dryer in there also . I believe they charge based on weight. I'm able to wash my large breeds for less than $20 a piece which makes my pockets happy. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you need anything. I always enjoy spa days for the doggies. You can tell they have a love for the animals there. Seems like more than "just a job" for them 😊
We give Pet Craze 5 stars because they earned it!!! We use Pet Craze for daycare, boarding, grooming and purchasing dog food. The customer service here is great and the staff members are very knowledgable and friendly. So if you need a safe, fun, loving place for your dog to groom, play or stay this is the place for you.
Groomer was great! Easy in, easy out! Dogs looked great! Price was reasonable.
One stop shop for your pup!!! They seriously have anything you may need... including the kitchen sink... or maybe that was a giant dog bath! 😂😂😂 …
Chloe has been getting her bath here since she was a baby! Very friendly atmosphere!
When we are are in town and need to quickly wash the pet babies we always stop in Pet Craze for a self wash . The service & cleanliness is consistent- that’s what keeps us coming back! We have 2 70 pounds dogs = $36 which is a reasonable price. I would recommend bringing your own dog cologne, the one available to self wash customers is not too pleasant and wears off quickly .overall great experience each time !
Pawfection Pet Care takes the best care of my 3 fur babies. I highly recommend their services. They will treat your pets like family!
We LOVE Pawfection Pet Care. So does Missy Puppy. We highly recommend them.
Excellent Dog Walker and Pet Sitter Drew has been walking our dog five days a week for over a year. He also takes care of our dog at home when we travel. He is trustworthy, reliable, and excellent with our dog. Our dog enjoys his walks so much that he sits in front of the door for an hour each morning waiting for Drew’s arrival! Drew has always treated him with great kindness. He clearly loves what he does and it shows. I have recommended him to all my friends who own dogs. Thank you, Drew!
Drew is a wonderful blessing in our lives. He has been caring for our Labrador since she was a puppy and I couldn't be happier with the service he provides. Our dog loves him and is always so excited to see him! He is a hard worker, very professional, incredibly courteous and conscientious and always positive and upbeat, even when the weather is less than pleasant. He does a great job communicating with me about each walk and any concerns he has about her. It is evident how much he cares about her and the high level of pride he takes in his work. The dogs, and the families, he takes care of are more than just a job to Drew. He is a truly wonderful person and I am quick to recommend him to friends.
Highly recommend! Drew is so professional and easy to work with. We knew our husky was in good hands.
Drew has been walking my Beagle, Katy, for about two years. Katy adores him. He's very careful to walk her the way I want, and double checks when the weather is inclement. He takes a spray bottle with water on very hot days to spray her to keep her cool. He is always upbeat, no matter the weather, and always asks if there is anything else he can do.
We have used Drew Kinnier, who owns Dogs Doo It, for years. Our wire fox terrier, Finn, adores Drew. He is kind & courteous & extremely reliable. He has watched Finn for a week or more & for shorter weekend trips. We have him come four times a day because terriers, if you have one you will know this, need a LOT of exercise & Finn is quite spoiled & needs a lot of attention, too. Drew spends quality time walking Finn in our neighborhood. He is gentle & even tempered. Finn doesn’t like wearing a harness so we use a lead on his collar & that makes it more important that who ever walks him is gentle & doesn’t pull or yank on the lead. Terriers can also be strong willed and again, kindness wins the day. We also feed Finn a raw diet which takes a bit more time than kibble &Drew handles it with ease. We have known Drew most of his life & we highly recommend him. I would be happy to answer your questions if you dm me.
I could not be more pleased with the service provided! My pup is happy and excited everytime Drew visits. Not to mention the added bonus of knowing that no matter how busy my schedule, my dog always receives attention. I would happily recommend this service to any of my friends. Whether it be regularly scheduled or an overnight trip, I know my animal is in good care.
I would recommend Dogs Do It to anyone looking for a qualified and knowledgeable pet services business. The owner is very genuine and considerate. I will be using them again in the future!
He does a great job. Very thorough. Nelson loves him.
It is only because of Patsy that I am able to fully relax on my vacation. One of my three kitties, Bambi has epilepsy and must take meds daily. She is also very timid and shy. Patsy is so patient and follows instructions precisely. The rates and visits are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend Home Sweet Home! (She also takes care of bearded dragons!) Phenomenal service!
All of the above words and phrases fit Patsy perfectly ! Thanks to her I have the ability to be able to relax on a vacation that I wait all year for! Great quality, Professional, Reliable, and Responsive...and best of all: Peace of mind! I moved to Lynchburg last year and called Patsy 1 month after moving here. I'd never used a pet sitter. Upon meeting her, she immediately put me at ease! She texted me a couple of times letting me know how my Big Fatty was doing! If I'd asked she probably would have texted me every day! It was after a few days that I realized that I hadn't been worrying about my kitty! Thank you Patsy and I'll see you next year! From, Lorna M. and Big Fatty
Patsy is amazing..
Best pet sitter around
Pet Cabana loved my sweet Kevin truly like she was their own dog. I don't think I could have taken better care of her during the day myself. They left on her so much and knowing that she was at a place during the day that she was loved and cared for made me feel much more confident being at work and knowing my little puppy was having a good time. Suzette always did a phenomenal job grooming her and she was always so so happy to go to daycare and play with all her little friends. We started taking her to day care at just 8 weeks old and the first day I was so worried leaving her but quickly knew that she was in an excellent place that was taking great care of her. They let the dogs play and develop friendships but also keep a really close eye to keep them all safe. Right after Kevin got spayed I had asked that they just keep an eye on her and they were extremely diligent to make sure she kept her cone on and stayed in the office with them so they could monitor her movement. I have recommended all of my friends take their dogs here because I am confident that the dogs that they have in their care will feel safe, loved, and entertained.
I cannot praise the owner and her staff enough. We moved to Jacksonville, NC from Forest. My husband and I are disabled and we have a beautiful rough collie. Lady had enjoyed daycare and grooming at Pet Cabana before we moved. I tried 3 different groomers in NC. They scrubbed her undercoat and by the third one, her coat was awful! Matted and tangled. She hated going and I had to pick her up before they were done. We traveled all the way to Forest to see if Suzette could save her coat.. Just Look!Posting on website!
Hannah is my pups groomer and she is AMAZING! Professional, does great work, great customer service! Suzette is blessed to have her on the Pet Cabana Team! Hannah takes great care of my babies and I feel completely comfortable leaving them with her everytime! 💕 …
Miss Felicia should get a million stars !!!! I cant express enough gratitude , she was so sweet and patient with my yorkie boy boddie.I've taken him to one particular place for several years and they just became so rude and impatient with his scaredness to where they told me he would have to be medicated before they would touch him. He is just a baby, and when i called her when my boss referred me to Pet Cabana ,she was very understanding and would get him and take care of him . I can't thank her enough for her patients and sweetness she showed my sweet baby boy.
Our dogs are well cared for there. We are regulars.
I have been looking for a new groomer for my dog as the old one hurt him the last time he was there. I saw this place in passing the other day so I decided to call. The lady that answered was very rude. I could hear her huffing and puffing in the background as if it was an inconvenience to do her job. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Excellent service. Highly recommend it! 🙌✨ …
They saved my girls coat! We will drive from Jacksonville 4 times a year. Nobody else will touch my Lady girl!
Very poor communication. Owner agreed to refund but would never issue it. Do not recommend.
Very gentle with my dog when grooming her. She seems to enjoy her overnight stays there.
We have used Camp Happy Tails several times. Our dog seems to love it there. He starts getting excited when we turn on their street and leaps out of the car when we open the door. I appreciate the option of having him groomed and nails trimmed while he is staying.Thank for taking care of our Jethro.
We have been using Leslie at Camp Happy Tails for years and have even sold doodle pups to locals who also LOVE her! Our oldest Granddoodle is no longer able to stand for grooming and takes constant pain meds; so Leslie came to us! The dogs were thrilled to see her and she was able to let Gabby move and squirm as her old bones needed. It was extraordinarily kind and thoughtful of Leslie and we all appreciate it more than we can say.
We have been taking our four pups here for 2 years and Leslie and her husband are always friendly and accommodating even for a last minute stay due to a death in the family. The dogs spring out of the car to get pets from Leslie when we arrive. Thank you for all you do to keep our puppers healthy and happy when in your care, even the always needy Jäger Meister lol Thank you from Jäger, Zoey, Sami, and everyone’s favorite Boomer!
The dogs come home happy and tired, well-taken care of. We don’t worry when we have to be away from home because we know our fur babies are in loving hands at Camp Happy Tails.
A great family-owned kennel!! Highly recommend letting them take care of your pups.
Very nice experience. One of the owners brought my dogs back to me and offered to come get them if i could not handle them . I was recovering from knee replacement. So the dogs were boarded for 3 weeks. I plan on doing some traveling in the future. Normally, I had a house sitter, but she moved. It's nice to have a safe, affordable place to leave my very small dogs and maybe my birds.
Leslie & Camp Happy Tails is the best! I have used her several times & I am always comfortable leaving my fur babies there! She takes very good care of them & follows whatever instructions I have for feeding them. She also grooms my Husky which isn't an easy job. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to bath dry ,& brush him. He isn't nervous or scared when I pick him up! He even gives her kisses when we leave! That says alot about her connection & patience she has for the animals.
They were very inexpensive. My American Akita seemed very happy and well taken care of. He had some play time with some smaller dogs, they said. They clipped his nails, trimmed his ear hair, and gave him a bath for cheap. He smelled and looked nice. I would recommend them and use them again.
It is not the snazziest of kennels. However Leslie is very personable and has always treated our various dogs quite well over the course of the past decade
Great service and pricing. Always get the dog bath and grooming before pick-up. Absolutely the best deal in town and what's more the shampoo smell lasts for weeks vs pet spa when it's gone in 2-days. Our dog loves it here and extremely kind, courteous and supportive owners and staff.
My little puppies love it here!! They have been to Little Ponderosa the past 3 days, the past two days, they run to the front door! They do tours on Monday/Tuesday too! My favorite part of the day now is getting pictures of my little babies playing 😍 …
They are extremely pet oriented here. Our dogs love going here and the prices are reasonable for what you get. Oh, and our dogs have their first album coming out soon!
We have boarded our Bongo at Little Ponderosa for several nights, as well as taken him for Doggie Daycare on a few occasions. Bongo has gotten his nails trimmed there twice as well. He is so excited to see his human and dog friends there. I love the messages and pictures the staff sends us to let us know our pup is doing fine and having fun. Great staff and clean facility!
Could not have any better place for our Brandi to visit. Perfect for all of your pets needs. Boarding, Daycare and not to mention Annette's training! Brandi also loves her baths and nail treatments!
This is the BEST kennel we have ever used and we are so grateful to have found them!!! We have owned multiple Australian Cattle Dogs, and our current dog Bailey can be a handful. We struggled for several years trying to find a kennel that would love Bailey and understand the nature of this breed. Multiple kennels didn't work out. But from the get go, the team at the Ponderosa has not only made it work, but they love our dog Bailey, they play with him regularly (he needs lots of exercise), they send us photos, and he is happy and healthy when we pick him up! The Ponderosa is great with all dogs, they adapt their services to meet the needs to insure the best care possible. Each dog has lots of room to play, with and indoor/outdoor kennel and play yards. We are so grateful for the Ponderosa -- to finally have peace of mind knowing our special needs dog is safe and happy. Thank you so much to the owners and staff. We love you guys!
Super passionate caring hard working individuals that love your dog just as much as you do. They send pictures to you to ease your worries and love what they do. Highly recommend! Can I check myself in?!
We have been bringing our year old Lab rescue to Little Ponderosa for daycare. The staff is wonderful and it's easy to see that they enjoy their job and are great with the dogs. Additionally, it's the cleanest kennel I've ever been in. Our boy is always happy from a day of play there.
Harley, our Springer Spaniel, loves his visits to Little Ponderosa. He jumps out of the car, runs into the office and heads back to the boarding area without a backward glance. He loves the play time and we love seeing the pictures the staff sends of him playing with other dogs. We appreciate knowing he is happy and well cared for while we are out of town.
Doolittle so appreciates the warm greeting and (name) recognition when we goes for a stay. You can add on services (bath, nails, etc) to be done upon your return and daily reports are sent so you can "oooh" and "awww" over your pet enjoying his or her stay.
Our dogs love Little Ponderosa Pet Resort! We love the fact that they send daily photos of your pets having a great time! We can go on vacation and know they are well taken care of!❤️
We have been taking our dogs here for 3 years and if dogs could speak our language they'd say they feel like part of the family! We always take our own dog food and beds simply because a dogs diet and bedding should always be the same as to what they sleep in everyday. The owners are people who truly care about your pet.
I’ve taken my dogs to the Barkin Bungalow for several years now and always had the best experience. The owners are extremely dedicated and you can see how much they love the dogs who stay with them. I always feel like I’m leaving my Doberman with a friend and they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure he’s given the best care. I highly recommend them!
We have used Barkin Bungalow for years for our dogs, cats and even our parakeet, and the pets seem to enjoy going there. It is very obvious they treat our animals well and they love animals, which makes me confident to leave my pets in their hands. No complaints, just compliments to them!
Please do not take your pets here. I am currently sitting at the emergency vet waiting on my 8 month old Goldendoodle and to pay the $725 bill. We dropped our two dogs off on Wednesday at 4:00. I had given them a bath just before taking them. We picked them up Friday at 4:00 pm so they were only there two nights. When they brought them out they were matted and there is no way to completely explain the way they smelled. It was the strongest urine smell I have ever smelled. They were completely covered in it and God only knows what else. We had to ride home with the windows down and I had to bathe them both immediately when we got home. At 2:30 am our Goldendoodle began throwing up. She threw up constantly and began throwing up nothing but blood. I brought her to the emergency vet and was advised that she has a severe gastrointestinal infection and that it is a result of severe stress and trauma. They advised that it was a direct result of being boarded here these past few days. Please, please do not take your pets here. Save them the trauma and you the money.
My dog has been boarding at Barkin Bungalow for many years now and they have always taken excellent care of him. Small, family owned business that truly cares about animals.
I was only dropping a pet off for my friend. I'd never take my pet here. Office was unkept and they seem unprofessional and a bit rude. I had to pick the dog up less than an hour later because they said she was chewing through the wire cage. What kind of kennel has wire cages a dog can chew through? Save yourself and your pet, pick somewhere else.
The large dog runs are a nice size. Bring a crate if you don't want your dog sleeping on the cement floor. They will help you bring it in. The owners were friendly but the facility is inadequate for my dog to stay there longer than one night in these ways: Large kennel room doesn't have natural light. The dogs never go out in the grassy yard that appears to be for this purpose. They only go in a small gravel-and-weeds zone to do their business, not enough room to exercise and they do not take them out on leash for a larger walk. The dogs aren't vetted to be able to play together. Their insurance does not allow dogs to play together. However for that reason if you need your dog to be physically safe for a night cheaply, in a pinch this might be OK.
I have been using Barkin Bungalow for about 2 years now and Bella comes home happy and seems to get treated well. Awesome place and would highly recommend!
Nice people that love animals.
Been taking Bear (my dog) here for about 3 years. I have not had any problems with the service and Bear comes home happy...i would recommend
