Our doggies absolutely love staying with Pacha Dog Care! Whenever we travel or need daycare, we know they will be in excellent hands, which gives us peace of mind (and I can be kind of a helicopter parent, so it’s not easy for me to trust just anyone to care for my babies!) Claire always sends us several endearing photos and descriptions of highlights from their day, which means a lot when we’re far from home. They always get to do something active and engaging, and we love that they get to interact with Moose and occasionally other dogs, but it’s not an overwhelming dog boarding environment. One of our dogs can be pretty anxious and reactive, but whenever we pick her up from Pacha Dog Care she is noticeably less reactive and more confident. We live in the neighborhood and whenever we’re nearby, our dogs try to pull us towards Pacha Dog Care; that’s how much they love staying with Claire!

I feel very lucky every time I book a doggy vacation with Claire at Pacha Dog Care. She always takes excellent care of my dog who has separation anxiety and other medical issues. Claire sends photos (see attached) and provides updates on a regular basis. When I can’t be with my dog, I have peace of mind when she’s with Claire. I wholeheartedly recommend Pacha Dog Care to anyone who wants their dog to have a positive boarding experience.

Claire is an incredible care-giver - she's flexible, offers personalized services, and has been an amazing resource since we got our puppy. I love that my dog gets to be comfortable in her home, not in a kennel environment. Our dog loves going to Pacha Dog for daycare, training, and extended stays when we are away. Not only does he enjoy his doggy vacation, complete with daily adventures, but with Claire's training services, my dog comes home better behaved. She only uses positive reinforcement and has been so patient with teaching me and the dog real life skills (crate training, loose leash walking, door manners, etc).

We have boarded our 3 y/o goldendoodle with Pacha Dog Care many times and always have a great experience. It gives me a lot of peace of mind, especially on longer trips, to know he is being well cared for in an at-home environment. Claire sends the best photo updates and makes sure he gets plenty of exercise. I know our dog loves it there because he runs right up to the door whenever we arrive. Recently, our dog developed some health complications, but thankfully Claire had no concerns caring for him and shared she has experience in caring for dog's with his condition. We would not have had the same experience at a larger doggy daycare business - grateful for Pacha Dog Care!

Claire and Eli are true gems. The absolute best sitters and surrogate family my pup and I have ever had. They are kind and patient with the pups, and truly treat them as part of their pack. My dog runs back into their house away from me every time I pick him up because he loves being with them so much. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I highly recommend Pacha Dog Care! Claire cared for our 4-year-old dog, Finn, when we traveled for a long weekend, and treated him like a family member. Claire is a fantastic communicator and sent us regular updates on all the fun things she was doing with Finn. She is a knowledgeable and skilled dog trainer and did things like carefully introducing her own dog to Finn to promote positive social interactions. I enjoyed learning that Claire grew up working with horses - she clearly has a lifelong passion for working with animals. Pacha will be our first choice for our future dog-watching needs!

Claire and Pacha Dog Care are fantastic. Claire has been a consistent walker and boarder for my almost 2 year old Cavapoo pup for almost a year now and we're so lucky to have found her. Claire is kind, responsive, responsible, flexible and best of all, my dog loves her (and her adorable dog, Moose). It's an added bonus that my dog gets companionship of both Claire and Moose during her overnight stays. Claire is very active and does a wonderful job of providing exercise and outdoor and indoor stimulation, fun and affection. Claire provides regular updates via text on how my dog is doing during her boarding stays; I'm always happy and relieved to know my pup is happy and well cared for. Claire also provides training, which is an added bonus. We'll be using Claire for dog care for years to come!

We are so happy to have found Pacha in our area. We recently boarded our senior dog with Claire, and were so happy to see the amount of care and love she showed our four-legged family member. For a little extra, she even provided behavior training during the boarding period. Claire was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay and shared heart-warming pictures each evening -- we couldn't have asked for more.

Thalia is the best! She has a knack for understanding and appreciating any dog. I know my dog gets the best care and attention. She always comes home happy and worn out!

We left our dog with Thalia whilst we were travelling abroad. It was a first for us and we were very anxious. Thalia made us feel at ease since the very beginning by meeting us in prior to our trip and offering a trial with her. She is very sweet, knowledgeable and extremely reliable. Communication was extremely important to us and she provided daily updates and access to video streaming which made us feel good. You can tell she cares about dogs and take good care of them. Plus her yard was a big +, our dog loved it. We will definitely have her watch our pup again! Great experience all around and our dog looked very happy !!!! Thank you so much

Thalia was amazing! We had a meet-and-greet at the Dog Daycare that she works at and our dog got a spend a trial day there to see if they were a good fit. During our 10 day vacation, we were given access to live video streams and sent updates via text message. The thing I liked most about Thalia is that dogs that stay with her get to go to her workplace during the weekdays and they get socialized and play time with the other dogs there at no additional charge!

My dog loves his time with Thalia. Thalia is loving, patient, and knowledgeable about all things related to dogs. She is trusted to take care of our fur baby when we are out of town.

Thalia is a wonderful dog sitter and I highly recommend her! She is organized, responsive, and has a kind and clear way with my playful puppy. She communicates regular updates, and does a great job of keeping Lily safe and happy.

Rocky always gets so excited when we are on our way to Thalia’s! He loves her and the one-on-one love and snuggles he gets when we are out of town. Not to mention the great socializing and play time with his friends. We always know he is in great care, happy and comfortable!

We've boarded our dog with Thalia of Neighbors Dog Sitting a few times now and it's been a great experience every time. I'm sure our dog is much happier staying in a loving home with other dogs. I will never use a kennel / dog hotel again.

Theresa and Hang Around Hound are amazing! I wanted to make sure my dog was cared for by a great team and supported a local business. My dog has leach reactivity and he did great with Theresa's support.

We have been entrusting our beloved rescue mutts Sophie and Shadow to Theresa and her gang for years, and they absolutely love going to Hangaround Hound to visit their other furry friends and to be very loved! This is now our third (and last) kennel after trying several others in the Bay Area and being very disappointed :(. Sophie was bitten in the ear in one kennel and permanently traumatized and that place never even acknowledged it happened (it also recently closed down), and the other kennel did not provide the loving, individualized attention that our beloved pups get at Hangaround Hound—where they are truly treated like family! We are SO lucky to be able to count on the boarding there whenever we travel! <3

We can't say enough great things about Theresa and James and Hang Around Hound. Our 95 pound "puppy" has been afraid of new people and dogs but at Hang Around Hound he feels completely safe and makes new friends everytime he hangs around there!

Mr. Big Stuff has been going to daycare here since October of 2022. He's always excited to see Theresa and James. They are super personable and do well at catering to each dog's nuances/needs and are super flexible. We always get updates via photos and text messages letting us know how he's doing when he's either at daycare or boarding. We are lucky to have found them and highly recommend them.

I trust Hang Around Hound with my dog and they've been amazing with him at every stay. They know how to manage different dog's behavior and mine can struggle around other dogs but they make sure he's comfortable and feeling good in a group setting. They're my go to place for boarding.

Exceptional care provided to our two doggies during each boarding stay and they are always so calm and relaxed when I pick them up. They have the best time at Hang Around Hound!

so good I had to leave a second review ! I am so happy with the service here. My dog had a little anxiety about sleeping g along so teri brought my dog to her house and let her sleep there with her. The workers here are EXTREMELY KIND and knowledgeable about dogs and their needs. This place is 100% the best option in San Francisco for dog over nights and babysitting in my Opinion. I will forever be a regular client

Theresa and James take great care of our dog, Chula. They keep me informed on how she is doing and send me pics/videos. Chula goes for daycare and boarding. Chula has dietary issues and they always accommodate her. She is always happy to stay and is tuckered out every time she comes home. Highly recommend!

Theresa is a fantastic dog walker and sitter, and our fur baby Kuka has been fortunate to have been included in the Hang Around Hound pack! Kuka has been a pack member for about a year and a half. When we have been home, she has wriggled her way happily to the door to go on her "Adventure Walks" in McLaren Park. Before Kuka (my dog) was accepted into the pack, there was a meeting at McLaren Park where we met Theresa's dog Steve (female). Temperaments were compared, and I appreciated Theresa's flexible approach that kept an eye on the dogs while still letting them play and get to know one another. She lets dogs be dogs and seems to have an innate understanding of how they communicate. It took a few weeks before Kuka was allowed off a very long lead (Theresa provides everything) as they built trust of her recall. In the cold and rain, Theresa put on a nice, warm vest on Kuka to make sure she's super comfortable. Boarding is super convenient with the available pick-ups and drop-offs. All you need to supply is some kibble and instructions on how often and much to feed. There are a couple options where they can stay in crates or upstairs with the friendly human of their choice. As a bonus, Theresa and crew take the most wonderful doggy photos (the one here is my desktop background) - if you've ever tried taking active dog photos, you know how hard it is to get a clear shot. One of my dogs is a handful (rescue from an ugly situation) and HAH has always been super helpful and patient with her. My dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE going there, and typically they are less than thrilled when I come to fetch them. It's a testament to how great Teresa and James are!

Our dog, Tilly, has been going to Bay Area Canine Club for more than 3 years for both daycare and boarding services. We trust them as an extended family to care for our dog. They treat Tilly like their own and she absolutely loves hanging out there with both dogs and humans! Staff is always attentive and accommodating for what she needs. They would adjust her outside walk schedule for rainy days or foxtail season or keep her for extra days with unexpected traveling schedule changes. We always get updates and adorable photos and videos so we know Tilly is also having a blast! Tilly has made many friends at BACC and always runs in with her tail wagging when we drop her off. She also always comes home tired and happy (And a little dirty but hey, dirty dogs are happy dogs!)

Updating this post 12/19/23: Ownership has changed, but the service has not. Sydney and team are equally as incredible and they still maintain a high-level of service and care. A+++ BACC is an incredible dog walking and boarding service. Naomi and her team are real professionals and handled my dog as if she was their own. They have also house sat my dog and I trust them 110%. When I was traveling, they'd text me photos of my dog for peace of mind. They have always been clear and quick communicating with me and have built a really solid community of owners and dogs around their business. And, they take great photos that they share instagram.

Bay Area Canine Club is not only the best dog-walking service I have ever seen (> 5 services in my dog's lifetime across several states), it is one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. If you're looking for a high-quality way for your pup to get exercise and lots of love while you're away (either at work or traveling), then BACC is for you!

This is my dog's happy place - the staff is knowledgeable and kind, and the dogs get to play in the yard and go out on daily adventures, instead of spending time in crates. He's one spoiled dog! Recommended for great pup care.

High Tail Hotel took great care of our dogs, I would give more stars if possible. We took a tour and they then they took care of our dogs for a few weeks while we lived in SF for work reasons. Our dogs go to day care in LA, when I pulled up to drop them off both of our dogs wagged tails and whined because they were excited to go in. That brought my husband and I smiles and laughs, they loved it and after meeting the staff each morning and night I see why. Thank you High Tail Hotel!

We originally adopted our dog through High Tail Hotel, and have used them several times since to board our guy when we were headed out of town. He remembered the staff, and wags his tail each time he visits. He's never stressed when we drop him off, and when we pick him up it's clear he had a good experience while there. We plan on using High Tail Hotel again in the future.

Our pack of dogs cannot get enough of this place! They’ve been going for daycare and boarding (aka “camp”) for the last 6 years and have loved every second. The staff are so caring, and have gone above and beyond countless times when we’ve needed an extra hand or been concerned about the pups while out of town.

Best doggie daycare and boarding facility in the city. My fur baby always gets super excited when it’s high tail day and gets a “hangover” after having so much fun. The people here are wonderful too!

For those of us who travel a lot, or for those going to work daily, this is THE HOTEL, for your pup! It's a hotel with lots of couches, beds, a kitchen, outdoor play area and pool. Dog's heaven! The care is phenomenal, but there is a rigid onboarding process. Their price point is more reasonable that independent sitters. Give them a try!

We love this place, but not nearly as much as our dog does! He knows it by sight and gets so excited when we pull up.

I feel very comfortable dropping my dog here for the day or overnight, and my dog loves getting attention, company, and exercise with the friendly folks and pups! There have been times that they reminded me my dog's vaccinations are due before my vet did! We live close to High Tail Hotel so it's convenient -- but even if we didn't, drop-off parking is easy. I'm happy to be able to support this excellent local business.

My pup went to High Tail over the 7 months we had her and were living in the city. They provided outstanding service and care! She always came home sleepy from a full day of fun. High Tail is trustworthy and is an exceptional doggy daycare. I'm looking forward to visiting the city soon so that my pup can have a reunion with some of her favorite people!

Our dog loves high tail! We have a specific collar we put on him when we get him ready to take him to high tail. The moment we bring it out, he gets sooo excited!

Just as good as it was pre-pandemic. My dog always looks healthy after boarding here. And much better socialized 😂 Staff is always great here. After dropping my dog off, I need some comfort food 😅 so I head a few blocks to The Happy Vegan for gluten free brunch 👍

Outstanding home-away-from-home for your fur baby! Impressive, large facility with multiple play areas for dogs of varying socialization stages. Friendly staff that seem to truly care about and enjoy spending time with your dog. Tons of photos and social media posts updated daily, so you can see your camper. I highly recommend Pet Camp!

Writing this review because they seemed to have changed how they charge for overnight stays from when our dogs stayed back in May. I felt like we were overcharged and when they showed me how they itemized it, it’s very different than their website and did not match the pricing of when they stayed about 6 months ago. I suggest getting a quote before you do overnight boarding. As far as the care of the dogs goes, seems great! I wish they would take more photos or send an update about the dogs. Both of my beagles are always nice and tired after visiting pet camp and seem to really enjoy their time there. When we take them for daycare they seem to be excited. I recommend their daycare and getting a quote if you do overnight stays.

My pups love and I love PetCamp . The staff there are wonderful and knowledgeable . I have such peace of mind when my pups go to PetCamp because I know they are getting excellent care. I can call and get updates with the camp counselors and I get a personal account of their stay. Such a great place for pets. Thank you PetCamp.

Pet Camp is the absolute best! I've boarded my dog there for weeks at a time and send him to daycare occasionally. They take such amazing care of him, giving detailed updates, posting photos to their page, etc. He is truly so excited whenever he gets to go to Pet Camp. Thank you to the wonderful counselors who make it such a safe, friendly, and fun environment for our pets!

At first, we were excited about PetCamp. The facilities looked nice, and the front desk person that day was sweet and welcoming. We were eager to see more and asked for a tour, but unfortunately, they didn’t have the time to show us around, which was a bit disappointing. We were told we would see daily pictures of Bruce during his stay, but we hardly saw any pictures of him. To make matters worse, we paid extra for a special Labor Day hot dog treat for Bruce, and we were told we'd get a picture of him enjoying it, but we didn’t get anything. This was particularly disappointing since we were excited to see him having a good time. When we picked him up, we overheard other pet parents getting detailed rundowns of their dog’s experience, but when it came to our turn, the staff just made a brief comment that Bruce was new and didn’t take the time to talk to us like they did for everyone else. It made us feel like we didn’t matter, which was really disheartening. To make things worse, Bruce smelled like pee when we picked him up. His eyes were red, and he had wet anxiety poops for a few days after, something he has never experienced at previous boarding facilities. Overall, the experience just didn’t feel as personal or caring as we had hoped.

I loved my experience with PetCamp Cat Safari and so did my cats! Their staff were all so kind and welcoming to my nervous boys. It only took a day or two for both my cats to warm up to their loving staff who were there to give loving pets and play with them. I loved that they posted pictures of our pets daily too. The add on options too are so great, it was hard to pick but we eventually choose the safari garden. My cats stayed for a bit over two weeks and when I picked them up, they were their normal happy selves! I’d happily choose cat safari again over any other boarding options!

My dog was very happy at Petcamp! We are happy too knowing he will have fun, and safe while we are on vacation. They have dog treats, and they fed my dog meals while I ran out of my dog food. I have 8 months golden retriever so he is very hyper puppy.

Took our very energetic 18 month old Lab there for the first time. She had a great time. Picked her up and she was happily tired. The staff was great from check-in through check-out. Will definitely take her back.

PetCampSF is such a wonderful place. Their staff is so friendly and welcoming and totally understanding when pet parents are dropping their little puppy off for their first day of day camp. I toured the facility and it is incredibly clean and spacious. I love this place!
