Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Initially, I was very nervous about finding my very first in-home pet sitter who could provide the level of care and attention our 3 beloved fur-kids required. From the moment Emily and Johnny stepped into our home, I knew they were going to be in good hands. Their gentle demeanor and genuine love for animals instantly put our dogs Gypsy & Johnny at ease. Emily and Johnny took the time to understand our pets’ unique personalities and preferences, ensuring that their every need would be met. During our absence, Emily provided us with regular updates and adorable photos. Their detailed communication gave me peace of mind, knowing that my fur babies were in the best possible hands. Upon our return, we were greeted by a happy and contented gang, who clearly had enjoyed their time with Emily and Johnny. Emily and Johnny are more than just pet sitters; they are true companions to our furry family. Their exceptional care, genuine love for animals, and unwavering dedication have earned them a permanent spot in our hearts. Without hesitation, we give Emily and Johnny a 5-star rating and highly recommend their services to anyone seeking trustworthy and loving caregivers for their beloved pets. THANK YOU Emily and Johnny!!! <3
Davis and Sydney were loving sitters for our pets. We even had an extra cat (our son's) and they took great care of all of the pets and our home. The pictures and the comments they sent showed us they figured out all of their quirky personalities very fast. It was nice to come home to a clean house and all pets were safe and happy! We would ask them back again.
BriAnna was our first pet sitter and we loved her :). She made every step very simple for us, communication was great, Pastis and Anubis seemed to be very happy with her, and the house was very clean when we came back. We highly recommend BriAnna to take care of your pets and we would love to have her back!
Bard and Kim are amazing house sitters and pet care givers. I would recommend them over and over. I wish I could add numbers to the scale. They would get a 10+. Bard and Kim were super easy to work with, efficient, self-sufficient, and considerate. They took immaculate care of my home; it was definitely cleaner after they left! I would recommend them without hesitation over and over.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Our home was immaculate when we arrived home and the dogs and cat were super happy !! I would recommend Debra as a wonderful, responsible and reliable pet and house sitter !
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!

I cannot say enough great things about Hound Housing! We have been taking our corgi here for the past couple of years and she always has the BEST time. The team constantly posts pictures of the pups playing and you can tell everyone that works there LOVES dogs! I recently made a mistake when scheduling boarding and we were scrambling to find care at the last minute, but Jessica was able to accommodate and took care of everything! We are so fortunate to have found a place that feels like a home away from home for our pup.
I cannot say enough good things about this doggy daycare. I used to take my beagle boys to Ruff Housing in Winston, but since moving to Advance they have gone to Hound Housing. The enthusiasm, love, and care they receive at Hound Housing are far superior. Jessica, Katie, and their staff are outstanding. I recommend them without hesitation.
Hound Housing is awesome! They love dogs, and our golden loves them! He is 75 pounds and almost pulls me off my feet to get in the door. Always multiple staff members to give attention and very nice fenced areas with astro turf and shade sails. Large indoor play areas for rainy days. A great place for pups to enjoy a day of fun and frolic!
I felt the need to share how amazing this facility was to my animals. My Great Danes have serious separation anxiety from us and when coming to hound housing I know they will the get the special love and attention they need (Previously did doggy daycare there and they loved it). During their stay not only did they love my animals as if they were their own, they also mixed in their green beans with their food to help them eat, cleaned their beds thoroughly when they had an accident, and made sure they had fun with the other dogs. This is not just a business to them this is their passion, they truly love being with the animals and making them happy. I will only use this facility when needing boarding and doggie daycare and i highly encourage anyone in surrounding areas use them if you want to know your dog is in good hands!
My dogs LOVE Hound Housing! I have 2 huge golden retrievers. They go in excited, and come home exhausted! They love all of the staff. Good prices for just a day and also for package deals I highly recommend. Make sure you call and schedule your baby for a play day because sometimes they get full!
So grateful for the staff at Hound Housing! They love on our sweet girl and she is excited to visit and play with her friends. As an overprotective pet parent it is comforting to have a place that provides safe space for our girl to release some energy on our long work days. Oh yeah and they have great rates for boarding when needed! Thanks for being so Awesome!!🐾💜
Wonderful place for daycare and boarding your fur babies! They care about all of them. Very conscientious about dogs special needs. We can leave our babies without concern.
I am so bummed I am JUST NOW coming across Hound Housing. Their staff is SO friendly and I feel very comfortable dropping my pups for daycare and boarding. Since 2016 I’ve used other facilities and always had an odd feeling about them, or been suspicious if they even like dogs. I feel assured my dogs are in good hands at Hound Housing and that the staff actually enjoys getting to know my three pups. I am moving soon and wish I could bring Hound Housing with me. They have 5 stars across the board for a reason- responsive, kind, clean. Not much more you can ask for!
We are so thankful to have Hound Housing nearby. Our dog has tried other daycares but he always looked unhappy when we left. Not so here! He has nearly taken my hand off trying to get in the door, lol. He loves this place, and you can see how much everyone here adores these dogs. He has even been hand-fed here - they spoil our guy like no other! Highly, highly recommend them.
I am very picky about where I take my dog and I have felt comfortable with Hound Housing since the beginning. Their staff truly love the dogs and enjoy spending their time with them. I love that they share photos of everyone playing, it gives you that peace of mind to see your baby having fun. We use their boarding and daycare services from time to time and have been very pleased with the overall experience. The prices are reasonable and they will accommodate any request such as feeding my dog her raw meals with no issue! I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for daycare or boarding!!
I asked Shelly to care for my pet rabbit and lizard for an entire month while I was displaced between moves. I was so happy when she told me she would care for them. Not only did she care for my animals, but she taught me how to better care for my rabbit by showing me some different foods and even tricks with the litter to reduce odor. She was awesome. Now, I use Fur Keepers every time I go out of town. They’ve earned my repeat business.
Shelly has an amazing ability to connect with animals. She worked mainly with one of my dogs who needs the training (a young German Shepherd mix), specifically when it came to walking/not being distracted/jumping. She listened to what I told her about what Max was like, experienced it herself and made firm and gentle corrections that Max quickly took to. Shelly answered every and any question I had, gave excellent advice and offered a variety of solutions. She also was kind enough to help me with my other dog who is very well behaved but has a phobia of certain objects. She communicates quickly, clearly and has followed up several times to make sure we were all doing okay. She has such a kind/gentle personality and is clearly great at what she does--and is sincere in looking for success for pup and pup parent alike! She doesn't exaggerate a problem just to continue to get repeated business--she really is looking to help resolve the issues, which is so rare and refreshing. I'm highly anxious and cautious about who I let around my dogs and would reach out to Shelly any time and recommend her to anyone. You really will be in good hands. Thank you for what you do, Shelly and giving us pet parents the ability to empower ourself/pups and breathe if we have to step away from home! :)
We have completed a handful of training sessions now with Shelly and it has been a great experience so far. She was able to correct bad habits including biting at hands, basic obedience including sitting and down position inside and outside, and working on his heel command while on walks. Would highly recommend setting up a session with her today.
We have been customers of Fur Keepers Pet Sitting since the beginning of their business. Kerry and Michelle treat our 3 dogs like their own. They give my seniors (14 yrs old) medications and make sure they make it up and down our stairs. My younger dog is attached to me, so Michelle gives him extra love. They send pictures and messages to us from each visit. With them in and our, picking up and mail, etc. no one knows we are not their. We highly recommend them. In our opinion, you will never find anyone else so loving and caring for your fur-babies.
Shelly is wonderful with your pets. She bonded with my min pins and that’s not easy. Wonderful trainer as well.
Michelle and Kerry watched our cat when we went out of town. We received pictures every day and they let me know how much Odie loves being petted. We had never had a sitter come to the house before for any of our pets, but any anxiety I had about it quickly went away. I was able to enjoy our time away knowing my cat was being cared for.
Fur Keepers is your number one stop for all of your training and pet sitting needs. They truly care about your four legged family members and take care of them like they are their own. Call them today!!
These folks were so good with my pups! I went away for a long weekend and they were very reliable, tidy, and good about locking up my home. You can tell they really love animals by the pictures they send. They truly enjoy what they do!
They love your babies. Overnight option too! Completely trustworthy and leaves your place neat as a pin. I highly recommend.
One the most outstanding pet sitting service I have ever found. We have used them 3 times and recommend them to anyone. We have Rottweilers and they could not happier being kept at home. They have no problem with taking care of our Rotties. We use Hailey and she is wonderful. Kenny and Renee
"C", our cat sitter, was kind, efficient, thorough and interesting! I recommend this service and fully intend to use it again.
Jessica was awesome. She got close to my dog is very difficult to get close to as she was a rescue. She went above and beyond what I ever expected. I would highly recommend Hillsdale for any of your pet sitting needs
This was my first time using Hillsdale at Home Pet Sitting for my pets and I was very pleased with the experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for at home pet sitting. I will definitely be using them again.
I had a wonderful experience working with Ansley @ Hillsdale. Both dogs were happy when I came home and Ansley was quick to ask questions as well as timely with follow up to my questions
We have used them for pet sitting multiple times and are always extremely happy! Would 1000% recommend to anyone!
They are great to work with! They made it easy and no fuss to leave knowing my cat was in very capable professional hands!
I have had them come to my house 3 times to care for my aging cat. The care was exceptional!
So nice to know my pups were taken such good care of.
Great care from Ansley!
Just moved here from Indiana. Our pup had gone to the same doggie daycare from the time he was 1. So the change was major for us! He has fit in and we are very happy at the Ruff House!
I only take my dog, Louise, to daycare at ruff housing once per week, but the entire staff still knows her by name! Going to ruff housing is the highlight of her week. She loves the people so much! When she first started going to ruff housing, she was terrified of people. Now, she runs right up to all of their staff for kisses! They have truly changed her life and helped her open up. This place is exceptionally well-run. I used to work at a doggy daycare and by comparison to where I worked, ruff housing is much more thorough and contentious about keeping dogs safe and comfortable. That is why it is a little hard to get in - they’re always booked up because they limit the number of dogs very responsibility! Trust me when I tell you that it is worth the wait. Don’t settle! I can’t recommend it enough. I will never take Louise (my pup) elsewhere.
Grayson was very nice and knows a lot about all the dogs. Gyzmo always comes back home very very thirsty. It generally takes him 2 or 3 days of constant drinking before he seems to be able to get his fill. The employees that walk around with the dogs during play time never seem to reach out and pet or love on the dogs. It would be nice to see more interaction between them and the dogs. They did a great job working with me when we had to suddenly go out of town for a funeral. They worked us in to make sure we could make it home to the funeral.
We LOVE Ruff Housing and especially our groomer Devin. He is loving and caring with our American Eskimo Dogs. We’ve lived here six years and he’s the only one we’ve found that knows how to groom Eskies. One of our Eskies is a TriPawed and requires some special care and patience. He does it all! Even though the prices went up, which makes us wait a bit longer between grooming’s, we still LOVE Ruff Housing.
Everyone here is friendly & you can tell they love dogs! My 2 dogs came for a meet & greet & did fantastic. I appreciated getting photos of how they spent their time.
This is my puppy's second week at Ruff Housing, and he is getting better with his socialization skills. Thank you Ruff Housing staff for your patience and guidance for my lil pup Pike!
Our Athena just loves going to Ruff Housing and playing with the other dogs and staff! The staff is awesome and are always courteous and professional. Ruff Housing is Athena’s first doggie daycare experience and the staff has been great about that and always makes sure that Athena is comfortable and has a great day! We are excited that Athena has had such a great experience and that she is always treated so kindly and with so much love. I’d definitely recommend Ruff Housing to a friend for daycare. We haven’t had an opportunity to use the boarding services at Ruff Housing but if their boarding services are as great as their daycare services then I would recommend the boarding services as well. We have used the grooming services while Athena has been there on daycare days and always comes home a happy dog! Thank you Ruff Housing staff for all that you do for Athena! We ❤️You Guys!
Our girls were brought in for a first evaluation session. We were impressed from the very beginning. The Ruff Housing team gave us an honest assessment of how our girls did and how they were going to help our girls adjust to their new home after our recent move. Our girl’s faces tell the entire story. We found our girls their new home away from home and could not be happier!
My dog cries and whimpers with excitement every time we walk in! She LOVES this place! Always happy to drop her off and know she is taken care of and having fun socializing! The themed weeks are amazing and the goodie bags and pictures they send you are amazing!
I brought my old dog to play care until he passed, they were very attached to him. And now my new dog demands to go to play care. We are considering taking our new puppy every day because it’s so good for him.
Was excited, and eager, to try this new doggy daycare. I’ve had several dogs prior to moving here who all regularly attended day care (multiple times per week), so I know what a good dog daycare is like, and let me say I was disappointed to say the least. Before taking your dogs here, I’d recommend looking at the online cameras periodically to see when dogs are actually let outside to play. They are supposed to have two 3-hour play times and I did not see dogs outside playing for a consecutive 3 hours x2. Additionally, my dog came home AMPED up. To provide perspective, he gets exhausted from ~20 minutes at the dog park, and had more energy than he has ever had at night following a day here. The real issue: We were provided images of our dog playing with other dogs. But upon watching the cameras intermittently, but frequently, all day, we never ONCE saw our dog outside and playing with other dogs. This means they took him out to “play” for images and returned him to who knows where, where cameras are not located. I cannot in good conscious recommend this daycare. It could’ve been a unique, one-off, negative experience, but that was not the gut feeling we had from dropping off and picking up our pup. It is also not the sole time I’ve heard this happening here (check Reddit and other sites for reviews). On another note, Winston-Salem needs a good dog daycare, if anyone is looking to open a business to fulfill a need.
The staff I spoke to was friendly and seemed to care about my dog. And I know that they put her in her deluxe suite because she did not do well in the regular suite so I appreciate that. I do wish that I had more updates and more information about how she played with others. It surprisingly seemed like she did not enjoy her playtime so smaller groups might be better for her, but that’s just my guess because no one told me one way or the other
Lucy Brackens loves Ruff Housing for daycare and boarding. The entire staff loves Lucy like their own! Daycare allows Lucy to exercise and spend time with other pups and an amazing staff. I highly recommend Ruff Housing and give them 10 stars!! (5 stars isn’t enough) Plus, I love the fact that Ruff Housing provides Webcams so owners can watch their pets. When I drop Ms. Lucy off in the mornings I know she will be well taken care of.
I can't speak more highly of Ruff Housing as a whole, especially the Witt Street location. My dogs, Ella and Wofford, run to the door every time we arrive. The staff greet them by name and remember the sweetest details about them. They come home WORN out after a hard day of playing with their friends!!!! 10/10 would reccommend.
I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at Witt St! My puppy has been going to Witt St for about 2 months and absolutely adores everyone there. Each time when I pick her up from daycare one of the staff members tells me funny stories about her that day or pics they took of her playing. It makes me feel so relieved that I am leaving my dog in the care of such attentive and caring people. I love love love every member of this staff and my puppy does too! 💕
The staff members at Ruff Housing genuinely love dogs. Since 2008 we have entrusted the care of four dogs to them. Their caring, thoughtful approaches to every scenario — from a 14-year-old senior who no longer wanted to play with other dogs to two young pups — has amazed us. Our only real issues have been with the online scheduling system and they worked hard to correct that.
We recently brought our dog Cooper to Witt Street for his evaluation before we board him in May. Cooper is 13 and I was a little anxious as to how he would respond. Everyone that we spoke to was so supportive and took their time answering all my questions. It really helped in setting my mind at ease and knew we made the right choice. When we picked him up he was happy, relaxed and wondering why he had to leave. 😊 He is going to have a blast in May and can’t wait to see the pictures they send. Thank you!
My silver lab, Remi, went for her doggy daycare meet/greet trial today and I can’t say enough about this place and the staff already. I can be that helicopter-high strung dog mom at times but the staff and facility made me feel so comfortable leaving her for the day knowing she would be well taken care of. I received a progress update call and the cutest report card with pictures from her visit. Remi looked so happy about her play day and that eases my mind for all of her upcoming visits while I’m at work. We both give this place a 10/10!
We love Caden at the Witt St location!! My dogs are now excited to be dropped off for their grooming, which hasn’t always been the case. Caden does a great job with the overall cut and face framing— but, more importantly, I always feel like my doggos are being loved and taken care of when they go to Caden because of the pictures I receive after their cut and the happy dogs I pick up 😊
I am so disappointed with my dogs stay at this facility and have major guilt for putting my dog in this place. It’s my first time ever boarding my dog in North Carolina so I looked into a TON of places before deciding on one. This place had so many good reviews that I was confident they would take good care of my dog. 1. They told us we would see him in the purple room on the cameras (I checked many many MANY times and never once saw him on any camera) 2. We could never get ahold of them to check up on our dog. You would not believe how many times it took us to get ahold of them. They tried to say they left a voicemail but they did not3. When we picked our dog up, he reeked of dog pee. Our dog mounts other dogs so he was kept in his own area. Considering my dog is potty trained, I assume they never took him out which caused him to pee in his area and lay in it (he was there for 5 days). I sincerely hope I’m wrong about this theory but I don’t think I am and that breaks my heart. I’ve never left a bad review on anywhere before but I just want people to know so you and your dog don’t have to go through what me and my dog went through.
It was difficult to find a place that felt comfortable for my rescue dog when I visited Winston Salem. Amber was very welcoming to Daisy and me. She understands rescue dogs. Daisy had a positive experience, I think. She came home with improved socialization skills with other dogs. I really appreciate that. Thanks for what you did for Daisy. I'll use Winston Salem Dog Care again for Daisy when we visit.
What a God send to me! Winston- Salem dog care treats my Great Dane (Zen) like family. As a traveler ( contract medical worker) I work long hours and need my boy to get out. I’ve had to use Rover and Wag in the past and sometimes it was good other times NOT. I never worry about my boy now because Marie and her staff take such excellent care of him. I highly recommend them.
Have to share how wonderful Winston-Salem Dog (and cat) Care is! Have 1 pup and 2 cats, all inside babies. The pup came from a hoarding situation, doesn't like other dogs, and won't go #2 outside, so boarding is a challenge. Home visits are the solution! I had them come twice a day for my pup, and he couldn't have been happier! The picture attached shows exactly how much he loved all the attention he got. The cats are shy, but they even came out for the sitters, which is quite the endorsement. My house was in better shape than when I left, everyone was happy, well fed and unstressed. I've already rebooked them!
I discovered WSDC from my vet. We were recommended and made an appointment to meet Justin and so glad we did. My Kacee loves going to Daycare and Amber has become Kacee's daycare Mom. Kacee isn't used to being alone for long periods of time and his breed becomes very stressed if this happens. WSDC has been a godsend. Kacee gets so excited on his visits. I love the fact that Amber and all the moms there take such good care of my boy. Amber thank you for being so amazing I love that we get picture updates on his visits as this helps Mom to stay calm
My eldest dog just turned 12. I’ve never been fortunate to have a work from home job so I’ve utilized many dog daycares & boarding. Winston Salem Dog care is so far above and beyond the best we’ve ever been to. And even that doesn’t do Justin & Marie and their team justice! They are the second family my, and all dogs, need and set the bar for dog care! On site is serene and a perfect environment! We additionally utilize the in home pet visits for our cat. They collect the mail or a random Sam’s club package that I profusely apologize for not being able to pin point the delivery to the days we’re home for without hesitation or worry! We are truckers that travel weekly and our return day isn’t always easily scheduled on our end. Weather or road work can collapse return times by hours or days. The team is responsive, flexible and always happy to assist! If I attempted to highlight all the ways WSDC has been flexible, patient, accommodating and understanding without ever a misstep in service I’d run google reviews out of storage space. I cannot explain just how immense the internal peace is of knowing your dogs are having the time of their lives with a plethora of other dogs and being loved on and taken care of while you can’t be there!
I normally do not leave reviews, unless someone has done something exceptional. WS Dog Care is an incredible team. In an emergency they helped me to take care of another’s dog- when every other boarding location and kennel was booked through the new year. Though my friend passed, they were supportive of me and what I needed the entire process. Can’t say enough how great a business this place is. If you give them your business, you will not be disappointed! Thank you again, WS Dog Care. Marie and Elizabeth were very helpful and accommodating.
Amazing dog care all around. I travel for work, and use them for both house visits, and boarding, and Marie, Justin and their staff have been beyond amazing. They have accommodated my crazy schedule on short notice, take the time to know and understand my dog’s personalities and needs. I get pictures and updates about visits consistently, my pups love it. They truly care about your pups and treat them as one of their own. Truly, 5 stars isn’t even close to what they truly deserve!
I had a family emergency a couple months ago and had to leave town indefinitely. I reached out to Justin the night before and asked to board my three fur babies. Justin took them in not knowing when I will be back. Cain, Abel and Lilith were well cared for and loved on. The staff's genuine love for dogs is evident, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The facilities are clean, and the daily updates they provide give me peace of mind. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking top-notch care for their beloved pets!
The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. They also treat your baby like their own. I tend to have anxiety with leaving my precious cargo with others, but Amber ensured that I was at ease and all my questions and concerns were addressed. They offer an abundance of services and each one is thoughtful and Top Notch. If you are looking for a place for your four legged Family Member - Winston Salem Dog Care is the place for you.
We have been using WSDC for a couple of years and will not use anyone else to take care of our 4 fur babies. They are prompt, professional and love our pups like their own. The daily updates and pictures of our dogs in their app put us at ease and makes it easier to be away from home.
With short notice, Kim was able to fit our pet sitting needs into her schedule. She is very professional, personable and knowledgeable. We felt at ease leaving our kitties in her hands while we were gone. She made it possible for us to go away without stressing about the fur babies! There were detailed reports and pictures after every visit. She worked different methods to get one stubborn cat to take his medication. Plenty of play time was had after food, water, liter box, etc. Everything was done! Kim's services are well worth her rates. We will recommend her and use her services again.
Kim did a fantastic job with our furbabies, is trustworthy and kept us updated on their care as well as pictures and videos. I highly recommend her and will use her again should we need pet care in the future.
Kim was wonderful caregiver to our 2 dogs. She is dependable which put us at ease knowing someone was going to show up. She’s knowledgeable about pet behavior and provided a full report with each visit. We could enjoy being away knowing our pets were being cared for. We highly recommend Kim’s Backyard & Barnyard pet sitting if you need a pet sitter.
We are beyond happy with Kim’s services. And more important, Sunny adores her! She told us so! 😉😉 We love how Kim communicates with us, sends photos, and her app is so easy to use. We trust her explicitly. Sunny always seems to be so well taken care of, which is most important to us. Kim is, by far, the best pet sitter we have ever had. We all love her! 😘 Bea & Al Erdman
Kim has been taking care of our fur babies, both dogs and cats, for 5 years! We trust her completely and the peace of mind that we have when we are away from home is priceless. We appreciate the constant communication and the app she uses provides detailed reports of each visit. She also sends fun pictures and videos! We highly recommend Kim - she is the best!!
Kim has been fantastic. She cares deeply about the animals and is willing to be flexible and talk out how to make our time away easy for us and our animals. We get regular updates when she visits and we never have to worry while away.
Kim is absolutely fabulous. I loved the daily updates she provided along with the pictures and videos she would send. By the second day, our dogs were giving her huggers and kisses! She is the best and I will be using her again to watch our fur babies.
Recently moved to NC from out of state. We needed to hire a pet sitter for an upcoming trip, and of course it can be stressful to figure out who to hire based on a search on Google. Especially when you're new to an area and don't know many people yet. I settled on Kim based on her excellent reviews. There is a reason that Kim is highly recommended. I NEVER wondered if my cats were ok while we were gone. Not once. Kim sent us reports via an app called Time to Pet for every visit made to our home, including photos and what she did for them during the visit. The app is insanely easy to use and I really like that it's a one stop shop for booking, payment, communication, etc. She is a true professional and excellent at what she does. If you're currently looking for someone to take great care of your pets and home while on vacation, the search should end here. She truly is wonderful!
Why didn’t I find Kim earlier! She is thorough and takes very good care of our house and our babies!
If you are looking for a very reliable person to take care of your pets look no further. Kim is the absolute best. She really cares about what she does and the animals she cares for. She stays in touch with her community of people that use her pet sitting service. Honest, reliable and knows how important it is that pet parents feel very secure and happy the pet kiddos are cared for the best.
Alma is amazing! She has been taking care of our 3 year old lab for 1.5 years now! Our pup loves going to her house and playing with all of the other dogs she is sitting. We trust Alma very much and love getting pics of our pup while we are away!
Alma was great. She took great care of my boy and treated him like one of her own! She was responsive to all my questions and kept me posted on his stay. Her home set up is great and perfect for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’ll definitely be using her in the future!
Alma is great with our boys! Very trustworthy, we had some hilarious updates during our trip, and she is accommodating to all dog shapes and sizes as proven by our pug / greyhound combo. HIGHLY recommend!
Alma is always available, and my dogs love her to death. I have known Alma for years after being her neighbor in Winston Salem, and my dogs and house have always been taken care of with her! Don’t leave your dogs at a kennel!
Alma is always amazing with our animals! She is thorough with each of them and is so good to them. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs pet care!
Alma is an animal lover through and through. She takes care of our dogs as if they were her own!
My pets love Alma. I would recommend her to everyone looking for someone to care for their precious baby.
Alma is the best and has taken care of my boy Henry for years, highly recommended!
We had a absolutely wonderful experience as first timers with Tami and her husband! They took such good care of our girl, sent pics willfully (such a nice surprise) and we were able to communicate daily! The day we picked our girl up, she was excited yet calm...that speaks volumes. We love to take our girl with us if at all possible, but in the event we can not I'll be making reservations with Jessie's Paw Country ASAP! -Mocksvillemom
Tami and Michael are wonderful! Tami didn't hesitate to accept our booking request on short notice, and even accommodated us when we needed to add an extra day over Memorial Day weekend at the last minute. They have clearly worked very hard to create a safe, welcoming, fun place for dogs of any size, age, or social level, and you can tell they are true dog lovers. My husband and I felt very comfortable leaving our 3 boys in their care. Tami and Michael are very thorough with their intake, making sure they collect as much info about your fur babies as possible - the more detailed, the better! Their prices are very reasonable and they go above and beyond to accommodate each dog's needs individually. The best part was the photo updates from Tami. We loved seeing our boys were safe and happy and enjoying their time at doggie camp. I only wish we received more photos (can never have too many lol)! Jessie's Paw Country will absolutely be our first choice the next time we need boarding. Thank you again, Tami and Michael!
Jessie's Paw Country was able to squeeze us in last minute for boarding over Thanksgiving week. So thankful for them and for taking such great care of Thor.
Jessie's paw country is the only place I will bring my dogs from now on!!! We boarded 6 dogs for a week and had zero worries about leaving them in their care after our show around. About a mile off the main road, didn't have to worry about noise and traffic and absolutely beautiful. The owners are wonderful people and treated our dogs like their own. So much love and care. 1000% boarding with them again. Plus, I was sent pictures of them while we were gone, and I couldn't believe how great they were.
Mike and Tami did an exceptional job caring for our dog, Portia. As an extra large girl, they made sure she’d be comfortable. Definitely recommend this kennel and the owners.
I’ve been boarding my dog here for 2 years now. They do an exceptional job when taking care of our dogs. They give us updates and are also able to squeeze in an extra day when we need it. Definitely recommend!!
I always bring my dog Lilo here. The owners are so helpful and always update me. If you feel nervous or this is your first time… COME TO JESSIES PAW COUNTRY. They will treat your doggy like family. When we go on vacation we know to come here because our dog will be in good hands!!!!!
This kennel is THE place to leave your beloved pet when you are going out of town,. I can’t say enough about Jessie’s Paw Country. Tami and Mike are great with our dog. I have nothing but great experiences with our dog staying here. Clean, climate controlled, monitored, and taken out regularly. The atmosphere is beautiful… and the care is above and beyond. My first encounter with Tami was very friendly very genuine and trustworthy. It’s very hard leaving our dogs, and I honestly can say my gut knew our Mary was in best hands. Very attentive to the pets at all times. Great place, and highly recommended for POM while away from your dog. Thank you both!
My wife and I love boarding our dogs here! Our terrier is very picky with people and when I heard how he loved the people there I was so happy!
This is our 3rd stay. They do very well with our Rottie. They are patient with him and very nurturing. We will not use anyone else from here on out.
My girlfriend and I have boarded our dog here multiple times and they’ve always been great. But when we went to pick him up this time, I had an experience that left a sour taste in my mouth. When the lady came out with our dog she said very bluntly and quite rudely in my opinion , “you’re gonna have to put the harness on him he won’t sit still.” While I’m sure it can be quite stressful dealing with dogs all day. It came off quite rude and frankly, this is the job you signed up for and sometimes you’ll just have to deal with excited dogs. Maybe I’m overreacting, I just did not appreciate that interaction. I still appreciate them and I’m sure we will bring our dog back. I just wanted this information to be known.
We have boarded our pets here off and on for several years and I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the pleasant staff. Last night they were even more a blessing! We recently got a new puppy, Waylon, and shortly before closing yesterday I found myself in a bind and needing care for him this very week. Now of course I knew it would depend on whether or not they were full or not but the staff member I spoke to seemed to understand my panic and helped me arrange his stay over the phone. My emergency worked itself out better through the night so he won't actually have to go but their willingness to help at the last minute helped in a stressful situation more than they likely know. Thank you so much and believe me Waylon will be in for a stay as will his sister Hollie who has been a client of the facility for years.
We love Carolina Pet Place! They take great care of our dog Izzy! Compare to others she attended, hands down the best! She really looks forward to her stay. The staff is always polite and knowledgeable about the care of the animals. "Feisty Izzy" is her nickname at Carolina Pet Place....perfect description of the personality. Highly recommend.
This is the best place to bring your dogs. They really doing an awesome job on bathing and grooming. And my dogs are always happy to go there!!
Thank you for making me feel comfortable about leaving my pets in your care, it really amazed me to see how neither one of my dog rejected walking away from me, they actually walked freely with the staff member, I was shocked 😲 thank you.😊 …
I am reviewing again because I keep trying to delete my old, negative review and it still keeps showing anyway. I have changed my mind completely about this place! Just to let people know, if you want them to put caps on your kitty’s claws, they will do that, but you need to call first and let them know, and the price is doubled. I was unaware of this until they replied to my other review. CPP trims my cat’s claws VERY quickly, and the price is quite affordable ($20). I would have given them 5 stars if their staff were a little friendlier (with the exception of one sweet young lady who always seems to be happy to see her customers) and if the guy at the counter had helped me with the door I was struggling a bit to open (I’m 7 months pregnant, with health problems, carrying a purse and water bottle in one hand and a 12-lb. cat in the other). The store was completely empty. 🤷♀️ But it’s really not a that big a deal. So that’s my opinion: - GREAT speed and value! - customer service could use some improvement I will continue to come here for all of my cat’s trimming needs, and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks, CPP!
These folks are great. They genuinely love taking care of dogs and you can tell that your pet looks forward to the next visit. The groomer is excellent also. Your kid/s will be well looked after.
Been over here several times with both of my dogs. They’ve raised their prices twice with no notification. They have drop off before 10am without making an appointment but 3 times they’ve turned me away in the morning because they’ve been too “busy”. For $45 dollars per dog for a normal bath, they don’t really take good enough care of their clients.. The guy working the front always seems to be in a bad mood and rude. I recommend finding another place where the staff will make you feel welcomed and appreciate your business.
First time boarding our dog . Wonderful experience. We will be back soon .
On 12/28/23, I had a very brief and disappointing phone conversation. Upon answering the phone, whomever I spoke to identified the place as "Carolina Pet Place." After saying, "hi", I proceeded to explain my situation: my plans for a dog sitter for next weekend (Jan 5th-7th) had fallen through, and I was now inquiring about boarding my two dogs. I specifically asked whether they were currently accepting new clients, as I had not boarded with them before and if they had any availability for the weekend. The response I received was delivered in a notably annoyed tone. The person stated, "I mean... you can be a client, but we can't board them on the weekend...we're full." In light of this curt response, I thanked them for the information, to which I received a brief and indifferent "Yep." before we both hung up. This experience left me disappointed, especially after researching various boarding options. The website for Carolina Pet Place had given the impression of a warm and friendly environment, which sharply contrasted with the demeanor of the person I spoke to. My inquiry was straightforward—I was simply seeking information about boarding my pets -- from a pet boarding facility. While I acknowledge that providing eight days' notice may be considered short, I am uncertain if the person I spoke to fully even grasped the specific days I was inquiring about. After I hung up, I suspected that they thought I was asking about this weekend since they never actually asked for dates. While this review doesn't reflect on how well Carolina Pet Place cares for animal, it does point out a problem with how they handle potential customers, especially for something as routine as boarding pets. Had the customer service been better, I would have potentially boarded my pets in the future at this facility, even if they were full the weekend I was inquiring about, but now I will not consider it and not recommend it to others.
Reserved a spot for boarding days in advance and made plans with reservations, tickets purchased, and everything in motion only to be turned away and told, "Sorry, we're full". We had to find last-minute boarding elsewhere which cost us over $250 for 2 days. For the mental anguish and panic of trying to find an adequate alternative and the added costs after we had reserved a spot at Animal House, we are considering a law suit to recoup our loses. This place used to be great but that Animal House clearly is no more.
I am not a review person, bot this time I will. I left my dog with Eric for 10 days. The pick up day they called me saying another dog attacked my yorkie. I told them to put my dog separated from other dogs from the beginning because he didn’t get along with other dogs. When I asked them what happened they didn’t know what to say. They started saying my dog was in a vet clinic and when I went there he wasn’t there. Then I called them again and still didn’t know where he was at. Finally I got to another clinic they took my dog and sadly he was dead. I would not be giving this review if they were honest to me but I feel they were not. They said they had a safe cage for my dog and apparently they didn’t. I understand they are animals but when is time to step forward to answer you should do it the right way and not try to hide.
My daughter’s dog loves her play school! Staff is super friendly! They also do minor grooming tasks like claw clipping.
Amazing!! We had to go out of state for family, and I’ve never left my dog anywhere. (She’s my child). I was so anxious but they were amazing with Izzy! Even gave her a bath!
My dog Buddy, was boarded with Animal House for 1 week in October, 2022. I had read the reviews online. I was hopeful that they would be a good fit for my dog and his quirky personality. The premises were inspected and I talked to Kathy and Shane about their procedures. Their drop off and pick up times worked very well with my plans I was impressed with them and the security the facility provided. The kennels were clean and neat. I called and checked on Buddy several times while he was boarded. I spoke to Kathy and she kindly gave me updates along with a couple concerns (nothing out of the ordinary) about my dog. I am very happy with Animal House Salisbury. Buddy has suffered no ill affects from his boarding. I will use them in the future if I need to board my dog. Thank you to the staff of Animal House Salisbury!
Eric always has taken great care of my Dallas. I have been going there for years . My dog was in great shape after the last 4 day stay . I wish Eric as a new owner much success.
I've never been compelled to write a negative review until now. You ever get that feeling that something is off about someone? I got that feeling about Eric. Eric gave me the creeps, full-on heebie-jeebies. My family dog is easy going, he gets along with my children, other animals, and he's an all around good boy. I thought I was being judgemental, but our dog wouldn't even want to go inside with the guy and he was usually very excited to get his day started at daycare. We all know animals have an extra sense about someone's character, well our good boy was spot on. A few months ago we learned that the owners were selling this business to.... Eric. As this was going on we were informed that not only was Eric mistreating the animals he was also mistreating employees that were trying to protect the animals. The owners fired this sad little man and claimed they had no idea until after the sale was finalized. HE WAS FIRED FROM THE PLACE HE OWNS BECAUSE HE WAS MISTREATING ANIMALS AND CO-WORKERS PROTECTING THEM. If you love your companions, don't take them here. This guy deserves 0 stars and karma.
I found this place, about 10 months ago, and decided to give it a try. I have dropped Rocco off for daycare, several times, and he's stayed overnight, a few times. Rocco is a rescue and very attached to me, so I am hesitant to leave him, anywhere. He. Absolutely. Loves. It. He doesn't even bark, anymore, when I leave! And he has made friends with one of the staff's dogs...Lindsey has even offered to make sure to bring her dog, when Rocco stays, so he can play with his friend. Lindsey is a wonderful young woman, with so much love for the fur babies. The kennels are always clean. The outside lots are always clean. The staff is always friendly. I've never seen anything that has made me doubt leaving my boy in their care. Shawn, the owner, is amazing with the dogs! You can tell he really cares about their well being and safety. I recommend Animal House to anyone looking for doggie daycare or kenneling services.
I had a great experience leaving my dog with them for a week for the first time. Nicole was amazing and reassured me that my dog would be in great hands. She sent daily photos and updates which made me feel even better. They are also very reasonably priced, I will definitely use them again in the future!
Just had our four pups stay at Animal House last week. I don't normally kennel my pups and was nervous. I started getting text messages and pics of my pups. I was informed that one of my pups wasn't eating and what they did to help him. We asked them to bathe our bulldog and when we got there to pick them up, they had bathed all four and only charged me for one! I'm so happy with Sean and his employees. I will definitely take my pups back there to stay again!
