The hardest part of traveling for me is leaving my dogs in the care of somebody else. This was my first time boarding my dogs with Carden and I could not be happier with the outcome. All of our communications over the phone were helpful and pleasant and I felt very confident leaving them for a week. When I returned, they were lively and did not seem stressed at all and they were clean and smelled great. I also think the cost was very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to board with them again.

Carden kennel has been fantastic to our family. We had an urgent need for a stay for our new puppy and the team there was amazingly flexible and accommodated our puppy readily. They treated him so well that we used them for a longer puppy vacation while we were traveling a few months later. I love my dog and Carden treats him (and me, anxious dog mom) very well! I trust and highly recommend this kennel! Thank you, Carden Kennels, for taking care of Beezlebub the good little devil, so well for us!

This was my dogs first stay at a kennel and the first time is used Carden Kennels. This is a professionally run kennel. The owner(s) were kind and very pleasant. My dogs were well taken care off, they got to go out often and got plenty of treats and attention. This will be the only kennel I will use in the future. Needless to say I highly recommend Carden Kennels. Thank you!

This has to be one of the best daycares for pets anywhere. The staff is absolutely amazing and are so great with my pup (along with everyone else's). They also do a fantastic job grooming our pup, who does not enjoy it but allows them to do it. Highly recommend Carden Kennels!

I recently had a work trip and Carden Kennels came through for me. My dog is currently awaiting a visit to the vet for her hip and knee, I let Carden know she would need to remain in mostly solitude and no running. They very much obliged! My dog was well cared for while I was away. My only slight negative is I was hoping to receive updates daily, only got them on the last couple days. I understand staffing on weekends is hard. Probably best I did not receive a report card daily because I sorely missed my dog once I did get that first report card!

We are so happy with our experience with Carden Kennels. Our dog is, well let's just say, rambunctious. He has a tendency to be a bit excitable. He LOVES his time at the kennel. Thankfully the owners see through his "more brawn than brains" persona & have taken great care of him. We are so grateful to have a reliable kennel who took the time to understand our unweildy pooch. Super appreciative!

There is no better place for personal attention to the needs of your dogs while away. We all wish they could stay home in their own surroundings but Carden does a great job keeping them loved and safe!

Carden Kennel took care of our two Samoyeds while we were out of town. Staff was friendly, professional and kind! Accommodated my late arrival due to a 1.5 hour flight delay compounded by parking lot ticket deemed unreadable by automated ticket machine. Blocks from Bangor airport. Great experience!!

I haven been coming here for many years with my tiny Maltese. The attention and care for him exceeds all expectations I am elderly and handicapped now and they come right to to my car to get little Teddy for me and back out after his appt. I love the people who work there.owners, cutters, and shampooers all are kind and helpful.

Lindsey knows her products, tries to match your skin to products, delivers products in a nice gift bag, always available, backs up the products with exchanges if they aren’t what you want. Friendly and encouraging!

Our 5 year old dog has been going to Zucco’s for over two years for grooming, daycare and boarding. She has such a great time there and the staff is absolutely wonderful. We trust them with our girl, and our girl loves them all. We have never had an issue with any of the services they provide.

Absolutely love, love Zucco's dog house!!! The staff is so friendly and attentive, they show an interest in each individual dog with love. Ava can't wait to get out of the car as soon as we pull in. When she comes home she is alway extremely tired, she defiantly gets a work out all day, especially pool days. Our family feels so fortunate to have found Zucco’s for our rescue pup, Calvin. He has been spending days at Zucco’s since he was a puppy and has always felt comfortable and very happy there. He loves the staff (especially Desiree) and all of his dog friends that he gets to see each week. As a rescue, he went from being a scared and unsure puppy to a confident, loving & happy dog and we can’t thank Zucco’s enough for their major part in his life and developments.

I brought my dog, Penny, to a day of daycare prior to boarding one weekend, and she adjusted SO fast to the fun atmosphere and wonderful staff! It was clear from the facebook photos and personal updates from the owners that she was having a blast, which made me feel reassured that she was in the best care possible! If that doesn't say enough, the fact that she was still tired 3 days later should say it all! We love Zucco's!

This place seriously has it all! Amazing friendly staff and the absolute best space for your puppy!! The staff here go out of their way to answer any questions I have whenever I have a question. I LOVE the time they take to make sure my furbaby is happy at daycare they even post photos DAILY so people can see their puppies throughout the day! I am so grateful we were able to get a spot here. My puppy knows when I turn onto the daycare road and his excitement to get out of my vehicle into daycare shows how happy he is here!!! 10/10 recommend!!! Can’t say enough good things!!

Our Doodle Gunnar and our Pug GiGi love Zucco's.I am a nervous pet mum and worried about how they would do in Daycare with other dogs especially GiGi because she was so small. Desiree took extra care to make me feel comfortable, She sent messages and pictures to let me know how her first day was going. Desiree helped to educate me on doodles grooming needs, what tools,products and grooming schedule would work best on Gunnars thick coat. We have recommended and will continue to recommend Zucco's and Desiree!

Unbelievably clean inside and out!!! I have been in the synthetic grass business for 10 years dealing with doggie day cares in MA, RI, CT, and ME and Zucco's is one of the cleanest ones I have ever worked in. I feel honored to be affiliated with them. Awesome people!!

We had our dog stay at Zucco's during out recent out-of-state vacation and he had a great time! An extra bonus was their daily social media posts where we could see him smiling! The team at Zucco's are great, including their amazing groomers!

We’ve brought our 3 dogs to Maine Animal Keeper for about 5 years now for boarding. They are really great with them. They have tons of options for pickup that make everything super convenient. We’re not rushing around. When we pick them up they are relaxed and sleep very well. All the exercise wears them out!!!

Excellent place, helpful staff, clean. My dog seemed very happy there. Unfortunately, they have no weekly rate. At $35/day, it adds up quickly. I'm afraid we'll have to save Maine Animal Keeper for weekends, not for more lengthy vacation times.

Ashley did a wonderful grooming job on my pup! She is always so kind and cheerful, and I always know my pup is in absolute great hands! I Recommend 1000%!

We are so pleased with the grooming at Maine Animal Keeper. Our aussie-doodle Maximus was in desperate need of a grooming and had never been to a groomer. He was not a happy dog about it and was not cooperative at all but they were patient and did a great job. Despite the hours there I could see he liked them and that gave me such relief. I looked into many groomers and reviews and I felt this was the one. You can trust your beloved dog is in good hands here.

I have boarded here in the past but I just had my puppy there for the first time this weekend. My puppy went in excited and came out excited and tired!! She did well over the weekend and got to have new experiences like play time with other dogs, staying in a kennel, and just getting to see new things. So kind and gentle with all of the dogs, the staff there seemed upbeat and happy. Would board there again.

When we have to board our cat while away for a few days, this is the place. They treat her kindly, taking great care. She is happy and content when it is pick-up time!

Bodie spent the weekend at the "Spa" . Great facility for kitty boarding. Sharon and her team are fabulous. Gave me updates on Bodie who has early stage kidney disease. Good people.

We've always had good experiences here with our dog, Sadie. She is quite nervous and they've always been very calm and gentle with her. The groomer has good communication and we haven't had any problems with kenneling.

We always take our hoard of 7 kitties to Ashley to be groomed whenever we can get them in. She knows, and suggests exactly what is best for each individual animals needs and does it. We will continue to trust our sweet fur family with her as long as she is there taking the utmost care of our four legged fuzzy kin. Thank you for everything you do!

Highly recommend!! Stayed in Blue Hill during a family vacation with three pups, one senior & two puppies. Lindsay was easy to work with and was able to put us in touch with Kat and Linda on consecutive days to let the dogs out while we went into Acadia. Kat and Linda were both excellent, friendly, & great communicators. They made sure they knew all our instructions. You could tell the love dogs and even though it was their first time meeting our guys, they cared about them. A worry off or shoulders to have our pups in good hands & to have a little longer to spend out enjoying the area. If you need pet services in the area, absolutely give Pet Care by Lindsay a call!

We had such a great experience with Pet Care by Lindsay. Lindsay was able to coordinate services for our cats more last minute with Madison, who was wonderful! Madison came to do a meet and greet and really put us at ease with her knowledge of pet care and care for our kitties. While we were away, she stayed overnight and did a great job of updating us, sending pictures, and ensuring that the kitties were well taken care of. Everything was clean and tidy when we got back, and it was clear that the kitties were happy! We will definitely use Pet Care by Lindsay in the future.

Lindsay and her team have been super easy to work with and highly communicative. Our pup has greatly enjoyed his weekly Doggy Day Adventures and they have improved both his leash skills and his entertainment levels during the day. I have highly recommended Pet Care by Lindsay to many friends and family!

Lindsay cared for my puppy, Otis, when I lived in Orono and I was so sad to lose her as a sitter when I moved to the Augusta area. Now that her services have expanded to the Waterville area Alexis cares for Otis several times a week, and Keisha has cared for him as well. They get the most wonderful photos of him for me while I’m at work and I never worry about how he’s doing because I know they take such great care of him. Otis loves his Aunties Lindsay, Alexis, and Keisha!

They came all the way out to Milo to do a mobile grooming. I have a senior dog and Jasmine was great with her. Lindsay had great communication throughout the process. And I must say, my dog looks amazing!! Highly recommended!

Melody sat for our dog for 4 days and did a phenomenal job! She made sure to keep us updated and in the loop. Ned absolutely loved her and hew was happy and healthy when we got home. Can't recommend Pet Care By Lindsay enough. These folks really do care about pets and their owners!

Lindsay was very accommodating when I messaged her at the last minute. I couldn’t take time off work and our sweet boy had recently been neutered and if he was left alone, he would’ve ripped his cone off and stitches out. He was a VERY happy boy and we will definitely contact Lindsay in the future.

Obviously I’m the outlier here, but my experience with Lindsay is one of the worst I’ve had with any business. Meg, the person who actually cared for my animals was awesome, but business owner Lindsay was awful to interact with. She frequently changed pricing on me. States on her website she offers 20% military discount and then doesn’t honor it. Purposefully not transparent about pricing on her website so that she can charge whatever she wants. After asking a clarifying question, she flat up refused to discuss pricing anymore. Very unprofessional and immature.

She provides a great service at an extremely fair price, and she works with you to do what's best for your animals, and that truly matters. My dog is misunderstood sometimes as a biter due to her anxiety, and Lindsay took her in for our short trip on very short notice, kept her happy, sent us pics of her and kept us posted as to her status, and she came back to us happy and healthy, which I can't say for previous boardings in the past. She'll be my exclusive boarder for all of my animals moving forward, and if you're in the greater Bangor area I'd say you can't do better than this business for quality, ethics, and value. Highly recommended.

We have never boarded a dog before, but needed to recently with our basset hound puppy, Tilly. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with the care our dog received at Uncommon Dog. They were great at communicating with us and keeping us posted on how she was doing. Tilly came home happy, healthy and exhausted after her stay! The staff at Uncommon Dog are outstanding! They are friendly, knowledgable & I know that Shiloh is well taken care of. He can't control his excitement when we pull in the driveway. We boarded our poodle here while we were on vacation for 4 days and she seemed to have a great time. The staff is great to deal with and pricing was pretty good too. I’ll be coming back here for sure!

Our dogs just spent a week at Uncommon Dog while we were on vacation. They had a great time. Communication was great and the staff was professional and friendly. The facility was very clean and inviting. Knowing they were in good hands eased our minds about being away from them.

This was the first time we boarded our dog anywhere and Uncommon Dog answered all our questions and made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog there. I called them to check up and they made me feel at ease and let me know how he was doing, they texted me pictures of his day. I also got an email about my dog shortly after we dropped him off, letting me know that he settled in well and made friends. We will definitely be using Uncommon Dog for our boarding needs!

Our dogs enjoyed their stay at The Uncommon Dog! I could tell the owner knew my dogs as she told me stories about them. They washed and deshed our 90 pound German Shepherd and did a great job for a decent price. They also allowed us to make an appointment to pick up our dog outside standard hours which I really appreciated and allowed me to pick them up on my way home from the airport. All around, great experience. We will be using them regularly. Highly recommend!

Just boarded our goldendoodle at Uncommon Dog while we went on a short trip. This was our first time there and they were great. The place was clean, well-organized, and, most importantly, the staff seem to really care about the dogs. We will definitely use Uncommon Dog for boarding in the future.

Great service! I take my dog Georgia to Bangor Pet Resort & Spa to get her nails did. I've tried for months to cut her nails at home, but it never worked and wasn't safe. I'm not sure what magic they have behind the counter, but they are the best! 10/10

Finn gets his grooming done here and it's always top notch. The team here is all ways great with my springer. Update ... Finn just had his fall springer cut ...another great job done.absolutly recommend them to groom your pet.

Boarded my cat here, she was back to her normal behaviors as soon as we got home. They said she was very relaxed and received lots of pets from the employees there.

Super friendly staff. They were great with my dog. Walked in for a mani pedi for my pup with no appointment, and they took her right in. Very reasonably priced! She has found a new favorite place.

My dog who requires some special attention stayed here for a couple of days and it worked out great! Now I have a place that can help me out from time to time and have peace of mind.

Our dog Max was in major need of a nail trim and wasn’t able to get in to his vet until late September. I walked in to Bangor Pet Resort and Spa and was walked out with 8 minutes. I almost passed out when they told me it was only $5!! Before leaving I scheduled a bath for Max and was very happy when we left. Their customer service was amazing as well. 😊🥰

I am so lucky to have found Bangor Pet Resort and Spa. I have two very shy dogs with a bit of social anxiety. Sara and all the staff there are absolutely fabulous and move at my dogs pace. We started bringing them there ahead of a week long boarding so they could get used to going and plan on continuing to do so. They have large kennels where my dogs can be boarded together making it much less stressful on them. Rates are so reasonable and the facility is so clean. I highly recommend this facility!

We love BPRS!! We brought our puppy Oswald in for boarding and I was so nervous. They were great about updating us. He loved it so much that we have started utilizing their daycare. You can tell how excited he is to be dropped of. We are so thankful we found them.

A few years ago, my white, long haired cat knocked over a scented wax melt and got it all over her fur. It promptly hardened and she smelled like a "purrrfume" factory. Not good! Green Acres got her in quickly, removed the offending scented wax while not having to shave the fur off, and bathed her with unscented products to make her comfortable, soft, smooth, and scent free again. I highly recommend!!

I got to say listen to your dog and it's all about your dog's comfort. We have tried other places and she didn't really like them that much she actually walks into this place wagging her tail these people makes the atmosphere loving carrying. And makes the dog feel comfortable.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but we unfortunately did not have a good experience recently. A friend and I dropped off our two dogs over memorial day weekend. Both dogs have been boarded several times before without any issue, and my friends dog had been at Green Acres last year and had a great experience. When we dropped them off we were asked about feeding schedule, however, our dogs were not fed to our instruction and both came home with a days worth of food. Our dogs were also both sick for several days following boarding with very bad diarrhea. Lastly, when we picked up our dogs, there was a dog at the front desk that was barking at every dog that was brought out to be picked up, which seemed unprofessional, and worriesome as my friend's dog can sometimes be reactive with dogs he does not know, which we disclosed.

Just had Kami in for grooming and again she looks amazing! Love the groomer, she wants you to get the perfect cut for your pet and she never fails. Thank you all for great and friendly service everytime I go there.

My dog Kevin and I love Green Acres! Kevin is always shown so much love and attention when he stays for boarding, daycare, or grooming. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable of how to help Kevin and I. So grateful for Don and his team!

I initially asked if they allowed owners to watch while their dog is being groomed. The exact response was "If course, why wouldn't we?" Then I made an appointment. My dog got a hot spot and I rescheduled. Only then was I told I needed to have proof of distemper vaccination. On the day of the new appt, I called to confirm the time and they had no record of the new appt so I rescheduled again. Upon arrival, I was told in a very rude manner that they have NEVER allowed owners to remain during grooming, treating me as if I was lying. When I asked how much it would cost, she responded, "about $..." I would think she would KNOW after seeing the dog. She was obviously irritated with any questions I had. Also would have been nice to know in advance face masks were require since in late Dec 2022 very few businesses required it. There's no signage on the road and when you arrive you're not sure grooming and kennel are same entrance. If the gruff lady at the counter was a groomer I would NOT have left my dog there. I'm new to dog groomers and may not find one that allows you to remain, but will not be returning here. I read your lengthy response. I checked all emails, including spam and have not received any emails from your establishment. I neither implied I was in a hurry nor did I ask for a priority. I know what I was told on the phone and it wasn't the lady at the counter who I spoke to. The lady on the phone was very cordial. I'm not a complainer by nature. I still leave a good tip if I get terrible service in a restaurant. I stand by my review.

The team at Green Acres were very good to our cater to our dogs needs. He is more independent and can have an attitude towards other dogs and some humans. They were able to work with him and he was able to board for a few days which helped us out tremendously. We appreciate everything they did for him and us. Thank you so much! We will be back to board with Green Acres in the future.

Don is amazing resource. He walked both of us through everything we needed to know about our new kitten and helped us figure out the best products to use with him. It's great knowing someone I can ask questions if something comes up and that I have resource for better understanding my pets behavior. I especially like his focus on non aversive training methods. It's also great knowing he's watching out for our little guy even when I'm not. There was a pet food recall a while back and he called everyone who had purchased that food so they'd know not to use it. I won't go anywhere else.

I cannot say enough good things about Sit & Stay… Lyndsey does an amazing job and the facilities are top notch! We bring our pup, Buoy, to daycare at least once a week and he has the time of his life- in fact, he usually doesn’t want to leave. :). Lyndsey is so attentive and watches Buoy closely when he’s there… if he’s acting the littlest bit off, Lyndsey mentions it and provides knowledgeable advice. Buoy gets a ton of exercise playing with the other dogs and taking multiple walks down to the beach. Every time I drop Buoy off, I know he will be safe and happy. Thank you, Lyndsey!

The grounds are beautiful, our Gracie(8 months old)golden pup enjoyed running and playing in the water and on the beach. We are full time rvers and have used several day care facilities as we travel. and are very selective. Lyndsey greeted Gracie on day one with hugs and kisses. We were excited to see her enjoying herself and being part of the pack. Lyndsey will NOT take any aggressive dogs which is very comforting. She takes her profession seriously and gets right in the dirt and mud to play with all the dogs. We immediately felt a sense of Gracie being safe and would take such great care of our girl. She LOVED going and actually didn’t want to leave Lyndsey. Our high energy field golden got tons of exercise and came home a very tired pup. We just can’t say enough good things about this doggy daycare, boarding resort. Feel good about leaving your pup while you go and explore the area. Your pup will be loved and well cared for. I've had Lyndsey as a pet sitter for over six years and I'm pretty sure that my pets like her more than me. She is the biggest animal lover I know ! She's done a great job for me and I'm happy to recommend her.

This is the most wonderful boarding/daycare facility ever! We dropped our 4 year old yellow Lab off for 10 days and he couldn't have been happier there. Lyndsey was very professional, she gave our dog lots of love and always replied to our texts to see how he was doing. We will definitely be using them again!

Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place! Lyndsey was so kind and patient with our anxious escape-prone pup, Blueberry. Not only did she put up with nervous dog parents but she also gave Blueberry a safe, fun-filled day packed with walks and love. My family vacationed in July in Stockton Springs. Our parents 2 dogs Benny and Finely stayed at Sit and Stay for the week while we were a block away. The Dogs loved it and didn't want too leave. They were so relaxed and happy. We took them out too the beach one day and they just seemed so at ease and calm. You could just tell how well taken care of they were. It was like a spa for dogs. We wished we could of stayed there also. Lol Walks on the beach multiple times a day and they got too be social with the other guests. We also had our 3 legged 14 year old Daisy stay for a day when we went out on a boat on Deer Isle. She recently just passed and it breaks our heart but we couldn't be happier with the care she got while staying at sit and stay. Totally recommend this place and we will use them again when we come back.

I have known one of the owners, Lyndsey for over 20 years. She has a passion, love, and caring heart for all animals. She has cared for her own animals as well as those in the care of shelters and veterinary hospitals. With the experience and knowledge she has gained caring for animals, she is highly qualified to care for all animals. I have left my pets in her care and would highly recommend boarding pets at this pet boarding home.

We vacationed 2 yrs in Maine & boarded our dogs @ Sit & Stay Inn. The 'rooms' were so clean and inviting, we asked if we could stay too. We joined in play time on the beach and we wondered if our dogs would want to leave with us when it was time to pick them up. In fact, our 2nd visit, our dogs recognized the facility and started getting excited when we pulled into the driveway. We are going back next year. I just hope our dogs will want to leave with us at the end of the week. Lyndsey, the owner, is what makes it extra special. She truly cares for every animal and makes every one of them feel apecial. The owners of Sit & Stay Pet Boarding, Lyndsey and Michael Crockett, have a unique connection to animals. Both have been extensively involved in pet rescues for years. Lyndsey has an almost spiritual connection with an animal which has allowed her to rehabilitate even the most damaged among them. Disney World for dogs! This place is perfect for your furry little friend. A great location with great walks and beach access mean the dogs will get plenty of exercise. You really get the personal touch and the owner really invests in the care for your dog. This was our first time boarding our dog and we couldn't be happier with the service. We aren't sure she wanted to come home such was the great time she had!!!

I can't speak highly enough of Strong's. Deserves a 6 star rating. Able to accommodate short notice sitting. After his 1st day, our 8 mo. old pup (who is used to having someone at home 99% of the time) was thrilled to go back. When I picked him up, he had to stop to say bye to the other dogs. Lydia clearly has a strong rapport with animals. Her structural design is brilliant; there is no waiting in line. Let yourself in with security code, put dog in safe, well secured kennel, and leave payment if she is not right there to greet you. My high-energy Plott hound/ lab mix came home each day ready to chill out.

Lydia did an excellent job pet sitting when I called her. I came home to happy bunny and contented cat and clean, clean litter boxes and areas. Her reliability made my vacation worry free.

Third time leaving our bunny here. They are so accommodating and patient with our feeding and care instructions (bunny care is complicated, they are delicate creatures). We rarely leave our bunny behind, but sometimes we have to, and the staff here is so nice and seems to really care about animals. They send pictures and updates often and this allays a lot of our worry.

Five star. Great kennel with country feel. We left two of our pups there for about two weeks. The had play time with walks throughout the days. The fed science diet which happened to be our pups favorites as well. Our golden doodle took advantage of Amy's grooming skills and came to us looking just fabulous. Their tails were wagging and smiling away so I would say approved by Yogi & Lily.

Great place. They were able to accommodate all 3 of our Labs and did a great job with them. Very friendly service and I would use them again.

Bear Brook was amazing! They took care of everything we requested for our dogs' three day stay. Including sending us pictures of them.

I absolutely love it here! My dog is always super excited to go which is a good sign. They bathe him before he comes home and I love not worrying about him when we go on trips. Definitely highly recommend but they do fill fast so put in your reservations as soon as you know about them.

This was the first time my dogs have been away from home and we were impressed with the quality of care they received here! All of the staff was so kind and gentle with our boys. We loved the one on one daily walks and photo updates.

We’ve used Bear Brook for our cats over the years without problems. However, we left our diabetic cat there for four days with extra prefilled insulin needles and came home with more than we should have. His bed was placed in a plastic bag that said it had called in urine in the litter box. Mind you, they found it in the laundry area. It was soaking wet and full of cat prints. After getting him home I found that his paws were full of imbedded clay litter, so much so that I had to use scissors to get it out. Cameras have been broken for a long time, not a big deal. He’s been crying since he came home and hiding. I’m hoping he’s not having a diabetic issue. So sad. Lovely facility and it seems like there are more than enough employees.

We used to love bringing our dog here, but recently have been disappointed with the care she is receiving. We have paid extra to have her in a larger kennel with camera access to check in on her while away, but the camera has been broken for probably a year at this point. The last few times she has been picked up, her bed has been bagged and we were told she had peed on it, an issue we have never had at home. After her most recent stay, we were told she ripped and shredded her bed, another behavior she has never exhibited ever at home. These out of character behaviors lead us to believe that she may not be getting the attention or playtime that she needs as a high energy Labrador. Last year she contracted kennel cough shortly after a stay, and this past stay she came home with a red eye that is very teary and goopy. Unfortunately, we will be seeking alternative care for our dog for future trips.

I took my puppy here for basic obedience with Giovanna. She is incredibly patient and helpful, full of individualized tips and tricks for each puppy to help them learn in a way that works for each dog. Looking forward to attending intermediate obedience!
