Ziggy and Stardust are normally very cautious around new people and somehow Donna and Darren completely won them over! I have never seen them so settled, calm and content when we have arrived home from a holiday! We were able to meet Donna and Darren for a video chat and then in person before the sit started and it was clear immediately that our cats and home would be well looked after whilst we were away. Whilst we were away they kept us up to date as much as was needed and when we returned home I'm sure the house was cleaner than when we left! We are already planning another sit from them for next summer and my only hesitation to recommend them is that other people will 'steal' them from us!..

I am writing this review because it looks as though I don’t rate them but the real reason is that they couldn’t come because we were all locked down last year and had to stay at home! Really wished I’d met them… I’m sure they would have been great! I give them five stars anyway 👍

Karen and her daughter Maya were excellent sitters. They are very kind, tranquil and reliable persons. We met on the day of their arrival and they took the time to get to know the house and our cat Rufus. Communication was very easy and correct during our trip. Karen had washed the sheets they used and the house was tidy when we got home, which was nice. Our old cat Rufus is losing his eyesight and is therefore easily scared but Karen and Maya managed to gain his confidence quickly. He was very at ease and well fed when we got back home. We would surely recommend Karen and Maya and were happy to have them as housesitters🍀😻👍

Bronwyn and Simon and their family were a joy to have as sitters! They were very communicative, took wonderful care of my dog, took even better care of my plants than I do, and left the house perfectly clean and organized. My pup was totally at peace with them all and cuddled right up to everyone. I can’t recommend them highly enough, and I would love to have them house and pet sit again anytime!

I was so delighted with Gillian and Jon, they are both friendly and easy going, my cats immediately warmed to them and I felt so secure leaving them with my pets and my home. The place was in better condition than when I left it and my cats were relaxed and happy when I got home. I can't thank them enough, and would have them sit again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend!!! We feel extremely lucky that Carole and Paul came to stay and look after our dog Sammy whilst we were away. Unusually we were able to meet in person beforehand which was brilliant. As soon as i met them i knew Sammy and the house were in excellent hands. Carole updated me occasionally to reassure me all was well and sent pictures of Sammy on lovely walks. When we returned the house was spotless and we were totally spoilt as they had left us some homemade soda bread and beautiful kiwi gifts. Carole had washed the bedding and towels and Paul had even mowed the lawn!! We are extremely grateful for the love and care they gave Sammy and i imagine he was very disappointed to see them go. I hope that if they are back in the UK they will consider staying at Stable Cottage again. Thank you Carole and Paul for everything.

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.

Abby was truly the best pet sitter we've ever had. We were never concerned or worried about the care of our pups and home. All the neighbors have told me that the dogs looked happy on the many walks. She sent videos of photos about every other day. We hope that Abby will stay in our home next summer as well. Abby is very highly recommended by our whole family, including the dogs!!!

Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.

Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.

Jacob sat for us during our holiday in March. We do not have any pets but we do have garden plants etc to look after. Jacob did a fantastic job of looking after the young plants that had arrived by post the day before we went away. He sent us regular updates and photos of how the plants were doing. We came home to a very clean and tidy house and thriving plants. Jacob did a great job and we have no hesitation in recommending him. If he comes back to the Uk and we require a sitter we will contact him first. Well done Jacob.

I could not have asked for a better first time sitter experience! Terry & Vinnie were absolutely wonderful people. They took stellar care of my beloved pets and my home. Their communication with me was enough that I felt perfectly at ease during my time away and in turn, they were super responsive if I contacted them. My pets were relaxed and happy when I returned!

Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people. I give Angela and Joe my highest recommendation and feel that anyone would be very lucky to have them their sitters! I hope that they return to sit here again.
