They went to local breweries, Angel Oak tree, and a plantation!! And of course they played in the back yard and snuggled on the couch. Jeff & Bev were our first house sitters, and they set the bar unbelievably high! From the start, they were extremely communicative. We were able to start building our relationship through messages and a phone call, so by the time they arrived, we were already confident that we were leaving our home/pets in exceptional hands. On arrival day, they arrived early so they could get a tour/meet the animals. They were very detail-oriented and asked great questions. They were also so enthusiastic about meeting the animals, so we felt completely comfortable leaving them in their care. Our dog unexpectedly had to start a round of antibiotics the day we left, and Jeff and Bev were so flexible with the abrupt change. While we were away, they stayed in touch with frequent updates and pictures. We were so happy to hear that the animals had warmed up very nicely. Even our shy cat came around quickly. We came home to an IMMACULATE house, happy animals, thriving plants, and thoughtful gifts including Bev's homemade jam. Overall, Jeff & Bev are wonderful, kind, and thoughtful people. They have are highest recommendation!

Megan agreed to cat sit last minute on a holiday weekend. She was willing to do both a video call and an in-person visit before the sit, which made me feel really comfortable leaving my cat Moose in her care! Tom provided a last minute sit when my 2 week long trip got extended to the 3rd. The previous zeewoi sitter was no longer available for the 3rd week, and Tom came in as a savior. As requested, he started his sit a day prior to the posted dates (thank you for being flexible). He met the prior zeewoi in person, since I was not in town, and got to know the house and cats quickly. He sent pictures of the cats each day and added a note about their well being. He was independent and was able to figure out how to use the litter genie on his own. I returned to a clean home and healthy happy cats. Would love to have Tom return and recommend him to anyone leaving their pets in his care.

Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Jacob sat for us during our holiday in March. We do not have any pets but we do have garden plants etc to look after. Jacob did a fantastic job of looking after the young plants that had arrived by post the day before we went away. He sent us regular updates and photos of how the plants were doing. We came home to a very clean and tidy house and thriving plants. Jacob did a great job and we have no hesitation in recommending him. Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.

I love love love this woman! She is the best pet sitter I have ever had in my 30 years of hiring pet sitters and using boarding facilities. Julia is responsible, kind, and genuinely loves animals. While I am out of town, she cares for my geriatric dogs, cats and even checks my mail. I cannot say enough good things about her.
I highly recommend Julia! I have a crazy work schedule and she is very flexible with my hours! She is very kind and friendly! One of my dogs has anxiety and is typically timid around people, but not Julia! They both just love her! My dog absolutely loves getting groomed here. Runs in without a look back at Mom lol. He's usually very nervous when left anywhere. Always looks great after his groom.
Taking my 7 month old American Bulldog puppy here. She's a very protective and leary pup. Ive had lots of anxiety about leaving my baby for a week but they allowed us to come check out the space a week before drop off which lowered my anxiety and Lucy's. They were very patient with us and ready and willing to give advise. So far it's been a great experience. Seeing their setup reassured me that my pup wouldn't be a worry to the other dogs around.
I had to board my dog for the first time ever in his seven years of life. He has anxiety and takes meds for it. I was very nervous about leaving him somewhere for a few days. I heard of All Paws Pet Cottage from someone else and called to get more information about them. They allowed me to come visit ahead of time to check the place out. I had my dog with me and they even let him come in and scope the place out as well. This helped calm my concerns and I think it helped my dog as well. While gone, I was able to receive updates and pictures of my dog which was great! I feel like they fully respected/understood my concerns for my dog and he was treated very well! I will be bringing my dog here again when I need to board him.
We LOVED our experience with All Paws Pet Cottage. From the moment I messaged with them to dropping our Ellie off, through out our trip and when we pick her up. Very clean and awesome cottages for your fur baby. We were kept updated on her throughout our trip and many photos. They loved our Ellie just like we do. Highly recommend All Paws to anyone. Best experience we have ever had with boarding our dog. We will definitely be using their service again.

I can’t say enough great things about The Purple Dog! I bring my long-haired, large breed dog here for grooming and the staff is AMAZING! Super sweet & accommodating to my dog’s needs. They’re always super friendly & rly have your pet’s best interest in mind. I haven’t done daycare or boarded my dog here yet, but if I ever needed to do either of those things, I’d send her here to The Purple Dog!
After a really bad experience elsewhere, I was so thankful to find the purple dog! The facility was kept clean and I loved the little touches that they had for the dogs to feel comfortable, right down to music to help calm them. The facility was very recently renovated and I was told they are going to be expanding. I was able to call and check on my dog and they really took the time with each dog to make sure they were doing well and go above and beyond for everything. My dog is super picky about eating and very happily ate and played for them! Everyone there was patient and kind with all of my questions and anything my dog or I needed. I was given daily text updates as well, which totally made my day :) If you need a new kennel or daycare center for your dog, this is the place! Thank you again to everyone for taking care of my girl!!

Beyond grateful for Christa and the Purple Dog!!! We always love bringing our Anya girl to board here, as the thoughtfulness, attention and level of care is truly unmatched. All of these attributes were put on full display for us again yesterday during an incredibly stressful traveling emergency as the global IT outage, 3 delays, one extended layover and a completely cancelled flight left my husband and I stuck 1000 miles away from home (and our fur baby!) with no feasible rebooking options for the next two days. We are incredibly thankful again to Christa and the crew for extending a helping hand in this situation and watching over our sweet girl for us. We can’t recommend them enough! 💜

Our Great Pyrenees has been staying at The Purple Dog for all of our vacations for the past year or so now and I am so impressed with how wonderful they are! The staff is super friendly and they take excellent care of him. They also text daily pictures of him every day we are gone and not only do they take super cute pictures of him but it's also nice to have the peace of mind to know he's doing okay! They even gave him a free bath last time he stayed for a week. He loves going there so much I had thought about giving him day care here and there just so he can play with other dogs. Their rates are very reasonable as well and better than any other place I checked into in this area. Thanks so much for truly having a heart for our pets and keep up the good work!
My experience there was amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They were great with my akita during her grooming. They made sure to work at my her pace to try and make her as comfortable as possible. I’m super happy with the results of her grooming as well. They did an awesome job overall but especially with deshedding!
We have been taking our dog there for the last year. It is by far the best decision we have ever made. Evey single member of the staff does a wonderful job and my dog is always so excited to go there. We send her 3 days a week she gets great socialization with other dogs and people and gets a lot of exercise.

Jen is without a doubt one of the most Loving and caring people to take care of your dog. She sends Pupdates with pictures so you can see your furbaby is being well taken care of and outside running and excersising and not just sitting in a kennel. It was my first time using a kennel for my two dogs. I was so worried. BUT, everything went great!! They sent me daily pictures and videos of my babies Doug & Bailey and let me know how they were doing. I would highly recommend Animal House. Kind and friendly people that run the place.

Sheri is wonderful with our Mastiff babies! She has a great knowledge of the breed and their little quirks. They are always very excited to see her...and have to give her lovins before they leave. That makes me know they are well taken care of and loved in our abscess.
We have left our 2 fur babies here several times while away on extended stays. We feel very confident and comfortable leaving our babies with Sherry. We always have an easy transaction at drop offs and pick ups and even gifts at Christmas! Can’t recommend her enough.

Ron and Sharon are the best. This business provide wonderful care and attention to their guests and make their people confident in their choice of boarding with them. Their prices are very reasonable and the attendant who greets you and brings out your loved one is always kind and patient. There is a nice fenced yard for your pet to run. We take both of our dogs here when we are away.
Our German Shepard has never been so comfortable with other people! He loved these guys! he did wonderful and came home clean and happy and healthy after a long weekend, will be back and worth 35 minute drive, great prices!
I have been using KK for six years and can’t believe I’ve been remiss in writing a review! When I first moved to Defiance, I had to live in a non-pet situation until I closed on my house. My dog had to stay at KK for nearly two months and they took such good care of here. They also allowed me to visit and play with her whenever I wanted. The owners and their staff are the friendliest, most pet-loving people I have ever met. My dog LOVES it here. We call it ‘puppy summer camp’ and when we tell her we’re going, she gets so excited. She has the routine down now and runs straight inside and straight to the kennels in the back. She is always happy and exhausted when I pick her up - the telltale sign of an excellent kennel. I can’t even begin to list the way in which they’ve gone above and beyond for my dog and how much they love on her. I am not a fan of kennels where dogs are allowed to run around together - it’s not safe for them physically or in terms of their health - but I know it can seem weird to leave your dog in a solitary kennel for a stretch of time. I never, ever worry about her here. They’re not even annoyed when I call to check in on her when I’m on extended trips. I recently moved to Toledo and after too many horrid experiences with kennels up here, I drive the 1 hour to Defiance for KK every time I need a kennel for my dog. You will not find a better temporary home your your pets. Remember! It takes more than one or two visits for your pet to acclimate to a new kennel and new people, so don’t give up on this kennel, or any other, after a first visit. It’s common for animals to be stressed in new situations, especially away from their humans. KK is the best, best place you can take them.

We used to board our pup elsewhere but when we got him back he would forget his house training because they didnt walk them. Kountry Kennel takes excellent care of him and walk the dogs a few times a day to allow them to do business outside instead of in the kennel. They feed him food we supply and we bring toys for him so he feels more at home. Our pup recognizes and likes the staff here which is always a good sign.
My dogs have never been boarded before, my husband had a major surgery in Ann Arbor Michigan, I did not have any one to stay with my dogs, called Kountry Kennel, they had openings, let me use 1 kennel to save $. They did great, when I picked them up they seemed happy, thank you for taking good care of my pupoies so I didn't have to worry.
I take my dogs there for doggy daycare daily and they absolutely love it. They have friendly staff and I get piece of mind that my dogs are well cared for while I am at work or while my wife and I are traveling. Highly recommend.

We had to arrive in town due to an unexpected funeral and had no time to make kenneling arrangements for our 2 year old Lab, Hank. K9to5 Doggy Daycare has been so helpful. It’s been such a relief knowing our dog Hank has been having fun while we attend to stressful funeral arrangements. Picking Hank up after playing with other dogs has been very comforting.
They take good care of my cockapoo. He loves going there for boarding. He hates baths. I appreciate their patience when it comes to grooming him.

The owner is very personable and I know why she has this business. Her heart sees the hearts of animals and humans. She can see that true need of our dog and our family working with our dog. The staff has taught us so much about working with our 6 mo. old golden retriever. They have modeled training and showed my children how to work with our dog as well. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Our dog comes home exhausted and literal gets so excited to go each week for a 3-4 day stay. We can see progress each week and we see our dog's personality shining through as he learns new things. We are especially pleased with our dog's manners with other dogs. Our dog's skills of learning to be social and demonstrating proper dog play is very evident. I can always see what he has worked on each week. I highly recommend this doggie daycare.
The ladies (no gentlemen were working any day I have visited so far) are always helpful, sweet, and generally seem to love their job. My dogs have come home happy every time, but they've also gone backed in, tails a-wagging, with each new visit. I highly recommend them!

Staff is friendly, unfortunately, the owner is only concerned about money, not your animals or your patronage. Basically, took over $170 in return for no services. Owner stated I was not a good customer because I don't take my dog to daycare everyday. I utilized the daycare and overnight services for about 2 years, but will never again. I highly recommend you find a daycare service elsewhere with an owner that has some concept of customer service. As a business owner myself, I know how important customer service is.

The name says it all! Perfect Love K9 Retreat The love your dog gets from Erin is amazing. Our Dog absolutely loves going to “school” She is always excited to go and that’s is the best feeling when dropping her off for a few hours or the day or even when boarding her. We know she loves it there and we never have to worry.
Erin is fantastic and Crosby loves it there so much. In fact when I turn to the right out of my driveway and head towards there Crosby sits upright and watches the road in anticipation. If I turn left when I leave my driveway he lays down because he knows we aren’t going there. Erin has really helped with calming our puppy down and we just got another puppy that I am going to have her train.
Erin is wonderful! Pepper loves coming here and we don’t have to worry she gets great care.
