They sent us lovely pictures of Clara enjoying her time while we were away. When we got back the house was super clean and they left us a nice plant to start our garden with this summer. We would definitely have them in our home again.

Betsy was amazing. From the first phone call to finishing the sit everything was perfect. We returned to a very happy Tom and a beautiful clean home. Tom was completely spoilt while we were away and is missing Betsy. Communication was superb with regular pictures and updates. If you ever have the chance of having Betsy sit for you. Jump at the chance. We highly recommend her and will have her back anytime.

Samantha was very communicative from the start and stayed that way throughout our trip. She sent daily updates and photos which we loved seeing and it was obvious that our animals were happy and well cared for. I am so fortunate to have found Alanna to take care of my cat while I went on a nine week trip to Mexico in my van. My cat was a little more complicated to care for because he was diagnosed with IBD just before I left. He thrived under Alanna’s care. He almost gained a full pound while I was gone, which is amazing for a cat with this diagnosis. It’s speak volumes about Alanna as a care provider. She was 100% attentive to all of his needs. She sent me pictures and communicated with me almost daily. I really can’t say enough good about her. She was neat and clean and took such great care of my condo, which is a second home, that she is welcome to come back anytime to stay if she wants to vacation in Seattle. I think my cat misses her. I’m POSITIVE that I miss her. I hope to see her again in the near future!

Kyle was such a great sitter for our two cats, Buffy and Milo, while we were gone for a month hiking the John Muir Trail. He proved very self-sufficient, which was super important for us since we were hiking and out of cell service for most of the time. Something that stood out was his adaptability. A summer storm knocked out power for two days and Kyle took it in stride. Most importantly, we came home to two happy cats and a tidy apartment. This was our second time having Ciara at our home with Ellie. We had such a great experience we wanted to bring her back. My favorite things about Ciara as a sitter is her quality care of Ellie, daily communication, and how self sufficient she is. She walked our dog almost daily and sent photos updating us on Ellie's activities each day. Ellie had a little bit of a health scare and Ciara stayed right on top of everything + maintained awesome communication throughout. We live on an island and if you have, you know island living isn't always the easiest. Ciara was comfortable with our home's quirks and didn't need hand holding during her stay. Would absolutely have her back in the future.

Ina was a terrific person and house sitter! We met twice before the house sit and she got to meet Iris who warmed up to her right away. With most strangers, she runs and hides under the bed!!! I really liked Ina's warm and open personality. She was very thoughtful and careful with my things and furniture. She sent me great photos of Iris throughout the 2 weeks I was gone. Somehow she was able to get Iris to sleep in the bed with her. This is truly a thing that I cannot get Iris to do with me!!! I would highly recommend Ina for anybody else who would consider her.

Kelly was a wonderful pet sitter and house sitter! Our dog Cooper adored her. She sent us pictures several times a day and he was always snuggling with her. She kept in touch with us regularly. We have never left our baby before and we were anxious about it but we ended up feeling totally comfortable with Cooper in Kelly’s care. She also kept our potted plants alive during a heat wave and took great care of the house. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.

We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!

Rebecca was the best pet sitter ever! Our chocolate lab, Kona, fell in love with her instantly and loved every minute of being around her. She was extremely attentive to Kona, taking him for daily walks and she did a great job of sending us updates, video clips and photos. David was an outstanding house/pet sitter for our active pup Tosha, older kitty Rascal, and 4 chickens. Rascal came home with a deep, gaping wound the day before we left for 11 days, and David was very responsible in monitoring the healing process with photos and texts to us. He exercised Tosha in the neighborhood and local parks, and obviously enjoyed her company. Our house was spotless and extremely neat when we got home, which is always welcoming after a long trip. We are very grateful for the excellent care David gave to our precious pets and home.

This is the best place to bring your dog when you’re going to the beach. The best part about this kennel is that they do daycare and when you’re boarding your dog there you can opt to have your dog included in the daycare session when they get to go and play with other dogs. But my favorite thing about this kennel is that for about an hour every morning they let you take your dog out of the kennel so your dog can go run around on the beach for an hour
Terrible and horrific for my dog. My very kind and people/dog friendly pooch was traumatized beyond words from this place. While waiting to get my dog I heard a young woman scream "SHUT UP!!!" To the animals confined in small cages. Also, an employee tightened my dogs collar to its tightest position. Grotesque and sick. If you care for your pet, find an alternative way to have it watched.
This is the third year we have used York Bark and Play. This time with two dogs. The staff have been super accommodating for our elderly dogs and always greeted us with a smile. If you never have been to York Beach, between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. you are allowed to bring your dogs to the beach and let them run around and play. (caveat: this shouldn't need to be mentioned but I will anyway. You must clean up after your dogs). We did this for a few mornings then brought them back to YBP. I like that they publish photos and a video everyday on Facebook so you can see your dog interacting with other dogs during play time.
York Bark and Play is amazing. We have left our dog, a Samoyed, for a day all the way up to 2 weeks. I never worry about him when he is there. The staff does a wonderful job, the kennel is clean, and it is great seeing the pictures and videos they post. 100% recommend 👌 …
This is the second time we've boarded our big, babyish Lab at York Bark and Play, for a long weekend, and once again they've done an excellent job of providing love, attention and care to our boy. He comes home tired and happy, probably barely misses us! Any dog parents who worry about a boarding experience should feel confidant about getting away, with your dog being happy!
We love York Bark and Play! Our two pups have been going here a few days a week for five months now. They treat our dogs like they would treat their own. We boarded them for a night while we went to a wedding and I wasn't worried at all because I knew they were in good care. We would highly recommend!

We love this place, this is the 3rd time that our dog has gone to York Bark and Play. Our Doberman looks forward to going in the car now and he knows he will see all his friends. We have noticed that he is so well-behaved at home now, you can tell that they work with our dog and they do not ignore him at all. We highly recommend this place. Awesome staff! Thank you
Liz and the staff are professional and seem to treat the dogs in their care like their own. I believe they genuinely enjoy taking care of them. Our dog is always excited when we take him there and exhausted from all the fun when we pick him up. It is great to have a place that you can feel good about leaving your four legged family member. The facility is clean and updated with heated floors which also goes a long way in making us feel good about leaving our dog, especially in the winter. As a bonus, because of their resident hens, we can pick up a dozen fresh eggs when we go.
Liz and the staff are amazing! We live in MA but when we go on trips are more than willing to drive to ME to drop our two labs off. Their prices are great and they're so good to our kids. Our pups join the play groups and always come home tired, worn out, and happy. The staff are professional and we trust leaving our dogs with them hence the drive so far. DEF recommend York Bark and Play!!
