We hired Kristen with Cambria Care Angels to pet sit our kitty for us for a few days while we were out of town. She is a true animal person and our kitty just loved her right away (he isn't that way with all people--he's choosy, he's a cat after all). Kristen sent us pictures and a text update every time she came by to attend to him--we returned to a happy and contented kitty. Very reasonably priced, very reliable, very attentive to our kitty, Cambria Care Angels Pet Sitting is our first choice from now on!

Kristen was very intuitive about what would be needed to provide the best experience for my dogs and me. I went on vacation to Cambria and was looking for a pet sitter for a few hours, for 2 consecutive days. She responded to my calls promptly, especially when i had questions prior to her taking car of my dogs. The days that she took care them, she came early and helped me understand how she would get familiar with them. She is very professional and also shows a deep compassion for dogs. We use Janice 2x each week for our loving fur baby. She is a true asset to our community and we trust her with our precious Beagle. Plus he loves going and playing with his friends there. We don't know what we would do without her and her services.

We were in town visiting family from out of state with our two pups who’d never been in the care of anyone else and Janice was absolutely wonderful and extremely accommodating to both of our dogs and to us, she even sent pics of our pups to ensure our peace of mind. Found this dog-sitter on google. I was coming into town the day after Christmas and we needed someone to watch our two dogs during dinner so we could dine at a restaurant that didn't accept dogs. Called her and she called back quickly, not long after. We finalized the booking via text. The day before I confirmed via text. We showed up and there was dog stuff all over her car and house so we knew this was a dog person. Janice was so sweet in person and was so sweet with our dogs. She sent us updates and pictures of dogs looking relaxed. Pickup was easy and I told her I’d write this review. Thanks Janice!

13 year old Tony usually stays with my mom when we go on vacation. This year we were on vacation at the same time. Janice the owner of Pet Nanny Paso was the perfect solution. She LOVES dogs!!! Her house is a dream doggie daycare. It is dog friendly and organized. Her expertise and passion for dogs made us feel that Tony was in the perfect place. He had a great visit with no adjustment issues. The dogs at Pet Nanny Paso were all friendly and playful. Janice sent us texts and pictures each day to show us how Tony's vacation was going. 2nd time having Janice keep our weimaraner Jade. We love her and she's so in tuned to the dogs. She kept her overnight both times. Best pet sitter in paso will keep using her every time we come up.

She knows her doggies personalities and how to manage doggies that may not get along, but she has can handle care of all dog personalities. She is meticulous. You should trust her with your baby. We dropped off our Mini Schnauzer while we were at Hearst Castle and Sensorio. Janice is so nice and attentive. She was patient showing us around her large yard set up for dogs, texted photos while we were out, and also let us know that our harness was a size too small which we hadn't noticed. We'll definitely go with the Pet Nanny again next time we are in Paso Robles!

Janice is an exceptional caretaker for dogs. She's very professional and kind hearted. She took take care of my dog on short notice when I was visiting Paso Robles. I l would definitely recommend her if you need someone to take care of or watch your dog.

Life would be "ruff" without Estrella Kennels! Carolyn and Cheyenne provide an amazing enviroment for my year old Standard Poodle. For day-care or boarding, there is never a worry that he is safe and having fun, it's like your child going to camp, he is always excited and happy to see his two and four legged friends. With my busy job and our schedules, we rely on Estrella Kennels to fill in the gaps. They are professional, knowledgeable and compassionate about our animals.

Carolyn, Cheyenne, and Estrella are such a gift to the Cambria community. This is the best day care any of my puppies has ever received. It has a great experience for her socialization and her separation anxiety.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Estrella Kennels has been a great experience for us & our pups, who are Standard poodles, a male & female, & just 7 months old. The owner, Caroline, takes a personal interest in her “boarders” , and the pups are always happy to see her. Estrella is in the tiny coastal town , Harmony, has a large play yard for the dogs, and separate kennels. The country setting is much more welcoming then a typical kennel with cages. The prices are extremely reasonable. Estrella has been a Pleasure for us and our puppies…5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m not even going to rate them at one star. I called today to inquire about boarding for my dogs and was told that if they have never been boarded before they would not accept them and if they are over the age of five they will not accept them. I was referred by a friend who has an elderly dog that boards there. Basically they were not helpful and sounds like they do not wish to take on new clients. So if you have a six month old that never has been boarded or an eight year old they will not take them in. So lie about your dogs boarding before and lie about their age or better yet find a better place to board your four legged family members. If every boarding facility acts like them, then dogs will be left at home alone to fend for themselves! That’s crazy! Are they not in the business to help the community on pet sitting while your out of town? I’m informing my friend who recommended them about my experience and I want everyone else to know as well. My pups are the best behaved ever and anyone who ever meets them always say so. They are well trained and obey commands. I will never suggest them to anyone instead I will inform them of my experience.

I have used Estrella Kennels for several years. It is OUTSTANDING! My dog loves to go -- he doesn't even look back when I drop him off. The facility is open, safe and secure. And Carolyn is amazing. She is truly a dog whisperer. The dogs love her AND obey her.

Have been using Estrella Kennels for years and years. Carolyn has taken care of my three huskys over the years..and my sisters bassett hounds. I can not say enough good things. Carolyn is the best. The kennel itself is clean and the dogs love it. So very glad I found this place! Takes that stress off of a pet owner when leaving your "sidekick" at a kennel!

Estrella Kennels has been our dogs' home-away-from-home for more than 15 years. Each of the five dogs who have gone to "camp" has been happy to return. Even our scaredy little rescue is almost happy and thinks Carolyn is his second mama. We hated not going to kennel during Covid, so we dropped in just to say " Woof!"

Have you ever taken your beloved dog to a kennel, only to have him shut down from separation anxiety and stop eating for 3 weeks? Have you ever taken your dog to a supposedly reputable trainer and kennel, only to find out that the person took another day job and left your dog unattended during the day, only to have your dog eating yard junk, resulting in 3K worth of vet bills for a lodged abdominal obstruction? That's our experience BEFORE finding Carolyn And Estrella Kennels. She is, without a doubt the best animal behaviorist in this community. We ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE HER HERE. Since enrolling our dog in Carolyn's doggie day care, our dog is completely socialized with other dogs; in fact, our girl waits patiently by the front window on day care days. When she gets home, she positively "flops" after a active day with her "buds". Vacation kennelling is no longer a worry. Our girl just loves it at Carolyn's, and we love Carolyn for her care and expertise. She is a rare and talented person who has carved out her niche in our community. Thank you sooo much for your diligence. There's no substitute for quality, and Carolyn far exceeds expectations.

Our snoodle loves Estrella Kennels and so do we. He can't wait to get out of the car and runs to Carolyn for a love. He is always excited to go there. She is amazing with dogs. She is always there or available via text. If she says they are open, they are open. You can count on them. We know she cares and we trust her 100% with our Smudgee.

Our 6 lb. Yorkshire Terrier loved spending the day at Susan’s Bed and Bisquits. We were traveling through the area and needed the afternoon to visit a senior friend and be out and about. I highly recommend Susan’s.

Susan did a great job dog sitting our dog for 9 days. She sent updates and introduced new did to current visitors over by one. She has much dog experience and it it shows. Our dog had a great time there.

Susan's bed and biscuit is a wonderful kennel to babysit your dog. Susan is very loving and caring to your dog and even sent me videos of my dog having a great time. I highly reccommend.

We LOVE Critter Happiness! This is the only place I will take our dogs when we need to board them. Krissy and Eric are the best people and take the best care of our fur babies! Boarding area is beautiful and clean and surrounded by beautiful country views. This is like a fun vacation for your doggies! If you’re ever worried about leaving your pup, this is the one place you don’t need to be! Upon drop-off arrival, we were greeted by Krissy and Eric who were so kind and welcoming. The space is large, open, and clearly well maintained. Over the course of our vacation, Krissy sent photo updates everyday of our dog – and his tail was up and wagging in every single one! It really gave us peace of mind to know that our pup was in great hands while we were away. The pups get walk and play time, and in addition, they have their own mini pool if they’d like. Krissy and Eric really do take the time to care for your dog which allows you to feel relaxed while you aren’t with them. We can’t thank them enough and will most definitely be returning!

I can’t recommend Critter Happiness enough! Krissy and Eric always take incredible care of my three dogs and treat them like their own! They were incredibly kind and flexible when I had flight issues, unable to pick up my dogs as scheduled and they had to stay another 12 hours, easing my mind after stressful traveling! Krissy sends multiple pictures everyday of them playing and running around. My pups ALWAYS come home so happy and absolutely exhausted from how much fun they have; they sleep for two days straight (it’s a win-win all around). Krissy is amazing! Krissy kept me updated daily on how my pup was doing and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. They provide plenty of room for your pup and even provide a splash pool if you're comfortable with it. My pup can be a handful for strangers and I'm in amazement on how easily she was able to provide him with a comfortable stay. After struggling for months to find somewhere my pup was comfortable staying we've finally found out our place for when I have to go out of town. You can trust your pup will be safe/happy/healthy in Krissy's hands. I can't say thank you enough!

We cannot say enough about how blessed we are to of discovered Critter Happiness to care for our “boys” when we travel. We have been boarding our 3 dogs (a 12 year old Shih Tzu, 11 year old Chihuahua mix & 3 year old chocolate lab mix) at Critters for varied duration of times for over a year now. Our boys love it , it’s like a vacation for them . We love getting daily photos of each of the dogs every morning . Our lab is in heaven staying in the big dog facility , safe and secure , getting lots of exercise and play time with the “new friends “ he makes with fellow boarders. Our 2 small dogs feel right at home getting to stay in the main house. We appreciate how Krissy and Eric are super accommodating to the needs of each dog . It is such a comfort knowing our boys are being well cared for as well as loved on while we are away .

Our regular kennel didn’t have availability for the weekend we needed so I checked out Critter Happiness on a whim and SO happy I did! They had great communication on what they needed from me as a new customer, clear directions on how to find their facility and what all I would need to bring. Their outdoor area was super clean and well shaded. Lots of space for the dogs to run around, even in their individual kennels. Even throughout my trip they sent me updates and pictures. And their prices are phenomenal compared to other local places. We will be returning customers!!

We are thrilled to have found Krissy and Eric to take care of our girl. We feel so lucky to have found a place that we are comfortable taking Nora to. Krissy and Eric are incredibly kind and flexible. Sometimes I think Nora has more fun at “camp” than she does at home! Krissy and Eric have an amazing facility at Critter Happiness. We had recently adopted a pittie mix and were anxious to board him while we were on vacation. We came across Critter Happiness and had an introductory call with Krissy before deciding to give them a try. When we arrived to drop off our pup, Eric was there to greet us and give us a tour - we were blown away by property. They have created the ultimate summer camp for dogs with immaculate outdoor dog runs, play areas, and a trailer to ensure your dog sleeps safely at night. Krissy was great about sending us photos and updates everyday, which gave us peace of mind that our fur baby was being taken care of. Another big draw for us is that it is a smaller boarding facility, so we knew our dog would not be overwhelmed and receive plenty of attention/interaction. This place is truly a 10/10!

Our dogs Franc and Milo have boarded with Critter Happiness on several occasions for the past year and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Krissy & Eric are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure our dogs felt comfortable and at ease. We are particularly impressed with the large, outdoor play area which is not your typical long, dark, narrow boarding kennel. We are very happy with the way that Krissy and her family care for our dog, Riley. He has stayed with them for many stays over the past year and he has always been well cared for and loved during his visits. We get daily updates and a photo or 2 of our boy playing with other dogs or just looking happy and smiling! We visited Paso Robles and wanted to do some “touristy” stuff but our 2 Bernedoodles, Brodie and Dani, could not come with us. We found this amazing doggie daycare a few short miles from our RV resort. After the necessary paperwork was processed online, we met the team and delivered our girls to their capable and professional care. We are always a little apprehensive about leaving them but, we were assured everything would be alright and they were correct. The girls “behaved” themselves and got a good report card. Horrible place. Horrible owners. Abusive. You'll need a vet after your dog leaves. They don't feed your dog. Take your cash and lock your dog up to live in its own feces and urine. Like a roach motel. My dog passed after staying here.

My dogs get excited, when I get home, before a walk, before a morning treat they wag their tails, grunt, huff and puff… When we pull up to Vineyard Kennels my dogs go crazy!! Screaming, yelping, jumping! Nothing else makes them do this. It’s like doggy Disneyland!! Our dogs love you and so do we! Thank you VK!!

I cannot even express how much my dog and I love Vineyard Kennels. He goes to daycare regularly and boards occasionally. They are so kind, he has SO MUCH FUN. My dog, Charles, has gone to other daycares and I worked at one for a long time, so we’re both picky. They are so convenient and take such great care of the dogs, and at a great price too! I love chatting with the employees and they care about the dogs so much. They have a very cute board in the office with Polaroid pictures of the daily daycare doggies. They also have Dirty Doxie Grooming on the property. Adrianne is a fantastic groomer and she just picks Charles up from daycare and I can pick him up at my normal time. They have doggie pools for when it’s hot and nap time in the AC. Charles comes back exhausted every day. They also are so accommodating for any random need. They even do a doggie secret Santa around Christmas time. Really can’t recommend them enough.

They beat your dog. My dog passed. Horrible dirty place. Your dog will not be safe here. This place will scam you. Poor communication. Lots of diseases. They don't clean. Dog might not walk out of here breathing. Abusive. Will never use.

My dog has been a monthly “hall pass” member at their doggy daycare for years and is boarded here regularly. This place is my savior! My dog gets very anxious when I leave her home and at Vineyard Kennels she is like a different dog and it’s so reassuring knowing how well she is taken care of. Their self-service room for regulars is incredibly helpful for my work schedule and there have been numerous times where I’ve had an emergency and they board her at the last minute. I am so fortunate to know they genuinely care about the dogs and take the best care of them. The owner, Amanda, has transformed the place since she took over a couple of years ago and continually creates new, fun things for the pups. Vineyard Kennels is my dog’s home away from home and I’m forever thankful for how well they treat her.

I spelled something wrong on face book and the owner Jon, belittled me. Poor care. Abusive towards people and dogs. Report of a dog cemetery rather than a boarding kennel. Very rude person. Mean to dogs. Don't use this place unless you need hospice services for your dog. Your Dog will walk in on 4 legs and you will carry your pets ashes home. Then charge you for the stay. Horrible

The staff was great to deal with, very friendly and obviously good with dogs. My smaller dog is usually quite nervous about new places, but she seemed excited to be back the next day we went. After hours pickup was a great touch as well. Really allowed us to be flexible with our limited time down that way. Very good experience.

Yes, the place is older. Yes, the dogs smell when they come out. It’s a kennel. My two dogs are very happy when I pick them up and I would not just send them anywhere; they are my fur babies. I am always able to get in and the pricing is very reasonable. You can tell the staff cares. I have a white dog with very pink skin that gets easily irritated and I have never had issues with him after his stay. Highly recommend this kennel. 😊

Our Cat “Big” was sorry that we came home after being gone for a month! Judy is loving, organized, & completely reliable. She took great care of Big, our interior & exterior plants, & mail, etc… We highly recommend July to taking care of your home and fur babies while you are away!

Judy provided excellent loving care for my two outdoor cats. Sometimes they can be tough to wrangle in at night, Judy got them in with no problems. She also brought to my attention our leaky water heater preventing damage, as well as bringing in packages that had been delivered. She could have ignored both but went beyond what was expected. I feel confident in having Judy watch my animals and be in my home.

Judy is great! We had a last minute trip out of town and Judy was so flexible and accommodating to us and our pet’s needs. We felt 100% confident leaving our pets in her care. She is very responsive and dependable. I will definitely be using Judy again soon in the future!

This facility has been taking care of my dogs for years and I cannot recommend it enough. I travel a lot, both for work and pleasure, and don't have family in the area so it's very important to me that I have a reliable, responsible, and trustworthy facility to take care of my dogs. Mary Kay has always been wonderful. She takes a personal and vested interest in the wellbeing of my babies and communicates frequently. This last 4th of July I was going to be out of town and leaving my dogs for the first time. They are terrified of fireworks and I too was terrified to leave them. I mentioned to Mary Kay that I was nervous and she immediately responded with a long, detailed and empathetic email addressing all of the ways they handled the dogs on the fourth to make sure they were comfortable, including having loud fans and putting on talk radio for the dogs. I greatly appreciated her long and thoughtful response and the actions they took to make the dogs comfortable. All of the other staff at this location have always been friendly, attentive and responsible. I have left my dogs here for weeks at a time and they are always happy and healthy when I pick them up. My dogs are also jumpers and diggers and the staff pays special attention to these concerns and put them in the jump proof play yard. The facility is wonderful, the staff is great, their prices are fair and I wouldn't board anywhere else. I've tried other boarding facilities in the past throughout the county and none come close to Rocky Canyon

We had a great experience boarding our dog here for 2 weeks. You can tell the owner and workers are very sweet and really care for your pets while your away. I highly recommend this kennel!

I absolutely love Rocky Canyon Kennels! They have a beautiful facility and the staff is amazing. My dog gets excited to go stay when she does. They treat her like family. I would highly recommend this is the kennel you choose to keep your family member safe during your travels.

Seems like a nice place. I dropped my dog off for a free day of doggy day care (complimentary, nice touch), after learning that they don't socialize dogs on a first visit (was going out of town, needed care for a weekend and thought it would be possible to socialize him for the weekend after the day at day care), just to learn at drop off that they won't socialize a pit bull mix at all. Very disappointed to have a discriminatory kennel in town that seemed very nice at first. They will not have my business.

My dog is social and friendly but very attached and has moderate to severe separation anxiety so I had always avoided leaving him with strangers and especially a kennel. We left him overnight for basically 2 full days in August and again for the day in October. He loves it here! The people are all friendly and the women running the place clearly just loves dogs. If you live around here or are up for a nice weekend of wine tasting - I would highly recommend this place for you pup! Only bad part - you need to call a in advance, they seem to always be booked on the weekends, a good sign that my experience is the norm here. Cheers!

We have boarded our 3 small dogs at Rocky Kennel for five years now. They do a terrific job taking care of them. I highly recommend.

Our dog has stayed here for 6plus weeks and is very excited and happy to be there. He is an older dog and played with other older dogs. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up.

Not a customer, only a potential one who had preliminary information by calling. - Called multiple times, no answer. - Finally someone answered and said she was too busy to answer question. - Email? Not available - Website? Sure "Your application form and website give conflicting info, which one is correct?" Neither. In the end, I could not figure out what they really offered or wanted for this business. It's a 1-star review based on preliminary experienxe. Waste of time.

Great kennel. We have a blind older dog and she always gets special treatment to make her feel comfortable and safe.

Our dogs know when they are going to the kennel. They start barking as soon as we are nearing the area. The barks are happy barks. (We can tell the difference) they cannot wait to get out of the truck wagging their tails running as fast as they can. The place looks clean and enough space for the dogs.

I boarded my cat there while my house was under construction, they have a very nice set up for cat and she was happy and well taken care of.

Happy tails was not our first choice but happened to be the available boarding facility for our cats. They are the priciest I found but we were desperate. Our home was having mold remediation done for weeks and I couldn't find a place to accommodate our 3 cats for at least 2 weeks. I can't speak for the cats personal experiences, they survived the stay at happy tails, but they came home with a flea infestation. After over $100 in topical and home treatments on top of our over $800 stay, I'm feeling extremely frustrated. We were so relieved to finally be back in our mold free home with our cats and then had this huge stress punch us right in the face as we returned. I don't anticipate ever having to board our cats again but after happy tails response I would choose elsewhere and also give preventative flea medication ahead of time.

We have been taking our little, very old, deaf, and now going blind dog to Happy Tails for several years. Drop off is easy, as is pick up with early and fairly late hours. They get to know each boarder and cater to their needs. Smaller dogs, like ours, stay in Toy Town. They offer bathing services; nice to come back from vacation to a groomed pet! We will continue to entrust our furry family member to the crew at Happy Tails.

My female 9yr old Beagle Mix is very shy and skeptical. Happy Tails took excellent care of her while I left on a trip for four days. On the day of pickup my all my fears were squashed. My girl was happy. She received a bath and nail trim. The rates were excellent and they served her the dietary food I provided. We are now scheduled for another four day stay and I have every confidence my little girl will be taken care of by the best!!!!! THANK YOU HAPPY TAILS!!!! Our dogs love coming here for daycare and it's great to have the staff seem genuinely happy to see them too. They go in excited and come out exhausted and we wouldn't have it any other way. Boarding has been a breeze and the dogs seem to like it too, and have come home smelling great after their bath. Just hope all the new neighbors do not give them a hard time over the noise of excited pups - they were there first after all!

Had my sweet Mora Kitty stayed here for six nights and it was a phenomenal experience for her and us. They sent many photos of her which really helped us relax while away. The people working there are warm and love animals. Pricing is very fair and seemed very willing to accommodate food scheduling. Would definitely come back for any pet housing needs.

Our dog is super-friendly and high-energy - to the point of sometimes being obnoxious. TH figured out the best practices for him to have a positive stay without negatively affecting the other dogs there. We have boarded and done daycare here multiple times, and are always happy with our experience.

We call this place dog ranch, and boy does our dog love dog ranch! We bring him here whenever we have to go on an overnight trip that we can't bring him on. He loves playing with the other dogs all day, and we love seeing the pictures they take of him. Our dog is a social dog who loves all humans and dogs, so it's a good environment for him. Highly recommend!

Excellent kennel care for our dog while we visited San Luis Obispo and were unable to keep her at our lodging. Very friendly staff, not only to us, but to the animals. Nice clean facilities. Lovely location. Nice large common area, and thoughtful placement with other animals. Highly recommended.

Thousand Hills took such great care of my two cats! It was my first time boarding them and I was nervous about it, but the staff at Thousand Hills updated me with pictures and a "report card" (I've attached an image sent over by them during their stay) and was very accommodating when I wanted to check in over the phone during their week-long stay. The staff was attentive and my cats really enjoyed themselves. The staff even notified me after check out when they realized I had left a toy I had brought for my cats behind, and they held it for me for a month until I could pick it up since I had just moved out of town. Also very very affordable and great for last minute boarding! In summary, Thousand Hills has an amazing staff and I couldn't be happier with my experience boarding. Thank you!

Our dear Corgi (Fig, 18 months old) came back a few days ago from Thousand Hill Pet Resort. It was his first boarding experience in his life (one week) and it appears he had a REALLY good time. We also had him bathed right before pick which was really nice. We could not have been happier with the staff and how well Fig went right back into his routine with 0% evidence of stress. Thanks!!!!

Thousand hills pet resort is a must for pet owners who want to go on a trip. Or need even just daycare day. Care is a low cost amount and they can save cars on file for you and have information about your pets under their file for easy drop off. And pick up and payment. They are very professional and take good care of every dog that they board or watch for daycare. My 2 Jack Russell terriers are always happy to go there and get excited once they know where we are. What is nice is that you can leave feeding instructions. Toys measures feds and other things when you need to have them boarded for when you are going on a trip or out of town for several days. Wow! We are staying nearby from out of town, and used Thousand Hills Pet Resort for daycare for our two poodle mixes in their first daycare experience. From tip to tail, everything was perfect. The online portal was easy to navigate and get all of our information uploaded. We talked to Collin the night before we came and he was so helpful and didn’t mind our many questions. He assured us our dogs would have “the best day of their lives.” Drop off was easy, and our dogs happily trotted off with Collin. Pick up was similarly a breeze. We didn’t need to remind Collin who our pups were, and he got them right away, and gave us a report card. The are currently passed out, exhausted and happy after definitely having one of the best days of their lives. We will be back!
