I am so glad I found a trustworthy boarding facility that puts your dogs first! The booking process starts with an email that spells out what is included in the service plus a questionnaire so they can better understand the needs of your dog. Suzana provides you with all the details you need and if you have questions she gets back to you quickly. A contract and invoice is provided via email and then drop off and pick up times are set. They are by appointment so no drop ins but having a booked time makes sure you get individual attention at drop off and pickup. The boarding facility can accommodate any type of dog you have. Plenty of parking. They accept all major credit cards and offer payment plans. The staff and owners are great and some of the best customer service around. The focus is on what is best for the dogs and that is what matters most. It is a small operation and small team so I recommend booking as early as possible to confirm your stay. You can reach them by email, text or leave a voicemail if you call. I always recommend my friends, family and clients to them!

A Happy Pet Tail is the only place I trust to care for my dog. I did the board and train program with A Happy Pet Tail and Akina K9 and would highly recommend it. My dog came home with foundational skills that allowed us to move on to more complicated training that I hadn't been able to do with previous pets. Suzana is always available to answer questions and coordinate stays. There is something very comforting about a responsive business when it comes to taking care of your fur baby. I could not recommend this company more!

“Happy Training! Play with your Dog!” Rich and Suzana’s hard work and dedication to you as their clients is unmatched from my experiences with various other places. Not only did I learn how to train a dog properly, I learned how to handle two dogs with two separate learning methods. I came in with my cousin and her two dogs, my cousin has difficulty hearing so I was there as a note taker and a second handler for their sessions from start to end. One dog was more prey driven and her other dog was more food oriented, learning two different methods was mind blowing at first but once you retain the information and start seeing the small details, it’s those small steps that set you and your dog up for success. Seeing the difference in the dogs behavior from the beginning of this year to nearly the end of this year has been nothing short of incredible. Putting in the time and effort in the right direction with the best methods of training instead of a generalized approach is what makes the difference in results. Rich is attentive to your dog and thinks on the spot, he also shares other techniques and sees if your dog is more receptive towards that approach and continues on doing so every single session. Being in those sessions and assisting handling the dogs training at home opened my eyes as a fellow owner about the actual responsibilities of owning a furry friend. Looking back at my younger self who begged for a dog(s), the things I was taught about training a dog were not accurate at all. So being able to get the proper education on how to handle the doggos was one of the best parts of my life so far this year. I’ve also grown as a person and have come out of my shell a bit more and socialized better with Rich, Suzana, and fellow dog owners. I can’t thank Rich, Suzana, Devin, and Mana enough for helping my cousin and I,her dogs, and helping us connect with a dog community that is so supportive of each other and uplifts one another. I also really recommend going to group classes (once approved) before your sessions are done because it’s perfect to get more insight on how to help your dog in new environments and being around other dogs as well as understanding how to do certain commands that are issued during the group class. It’s also really inspiring to see other owners with their dogs and knowing that one day, slowly but surely you’ll be able to do advanced commands like them. If you’re reading this and doubting it, the fact that you’re doing the training and putting in the work, it’ll only be a matter of time before you realize how far you have come. The first day of Group Class will definitely test everything you have learned but Rich is there to help and give advice. But don’t feel discouraged because it shows that he is attentive enough to all clients present and it gives you more insight on what you can do at the moment and what you can go over during your sessions. I highly suggest looking at the whiteboard after each session and asking questions about anything there that interests you and see if your dog is at a stage where those commands might be possible. If you’re still hesitant about choosing this place, schedule a consultation at least and experience it for yourself.

I emailed Suzana to set up the days for my dogs to stay there. I was in a bit of a time crunch due to my family emergency or I would have something set well in advance. Nonetheless, she gave me all the information to get them boarded and I sent everything back promptly. I thought we'd agreed on the dates and time for drop off and pick up so I messaged her that I was on my way, but she called me and told me I needed to wait for her approval before I dropped my dogs off. I read that due to covid I wasn't allowed inside, but upon arriving to the drop off spot, nobody was wearing masks. The person that greeted me didn't introduce themself and I proceeded to introduce myself and my babies. I drop them off with their food and left. The next day Tuesday) I called to check on them only because of the situation and to see if they ate. Nobody answered the phone so I sent a text message; the reply " they're fine, thanks." I called again on Thursday and again nobody answered. I sent a text message stating I would call back later. Again, I received a response "no issues, thanks." I started to worry, but I tried to relax because I was miles away and I couldn't get back to them if I wanted to. Saturday I called again to check on them and no answer so I sent a text message and asked how they were doing . The response "So sorry we missed your call we are with clients. No issues to report. Thanks!" I asked if they can send a picture; the response "We are with clients, I am sorry. " I didn't have a good feeling about all the things I experienced, so I called the police to make sure my dogs were still there and were being treated appropriately. Suzana called me and was very rude and unprofessional. She asked me if I called the cops and I confirmed I did because I wasn't sure what was going on then I started to worry about my dogs since I mever talked to anyone, the text replies were vague, and when I asked for pictures I was told no. She then said " I was just about to send you pictures before the cops showed up." My response "how convenient, you should have said that instead of "No, I'm sorry". She told me I had to come pick up my dogs because this is too much. I said I agree, but if it were that easy for me to come pick them up, I wouldn't have dropped them off. I also let her know I dont feel safe with my babies there with her anyway if she's going to treat me this way, I have no idea how she's treating them. I told her I'll make some calls to see if I can find someone; I did. I had a friend that was off work and able to care for my babies until I returned. I called Suzana back to let her know and asked for a refund for the remaining balance. She told me there aren't any refunds. I said " well, you will give me a refund because I'm not picking them up because I want to, I'm picking them up because you are a poor communicator and poor business owner. You should do the right thing and let's habdle this amicably and I'll be sure to never use your services again." She was reluctant, but provided me a refund after my babies were picked up. When my friend called her, my friend said she was pleasant and cool with her. I said, well that's good, she should have had the same tone with me but she didn't. I will never use this organization or its affiliates again for anything. I should never be left to feel that my babies are in danger or not being taken care of. I wasn't led to feel safe or assured in anyway and I take great care of my babies; I expected her to do the same since that's her business and I'm paying her to do so.

I have been procrastinating about my review of AkinaK9/AHappyPetTail not because it’s bad but because there is so much good that I really don’t know how to be succinct enough to capture one’s attention to how great a trainer Rich is. We adopted our dog Indy from GGLR 3 years ago and he was 4 at the time and had failed the program ‘Dogs for Diabetes’ but he came with a foundation of commands. He has this incredible personality that is smart, lovable and goofy but he has an underlying aggression that is a real liability. I used to say he was bi-polar but now refer to him as Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. For 2 years we tried many different methods but were never able to work through the aggression. Indy had a bad confrontation with our daughter’s boyfriend’s dog which prompted us to realize we needed to try something different and she convinced me to work with Rich. This was the trainer she had at CaliK9 many years ago that she was extremely impressed with. We started a 12 private session program right after Christmas 2023 and what a program it has been. Rich has this incredible level of patience like no other and I’m not referring to working with the dog but with the dog’s owner. Let’s face it, dog training is 90% about training the owner to be dedicated and consistent in working with their dog. A dog needs to trust their owner and working with them helps develop that trust. I have had dogs all my life and have never had such a hard time with training a dog until Rich helped me through the process with Indy. There was a long series of time to acclimating Indy and I to the E-Collar. I now can see why it takes so long as the E-collar should never be something the dog is afraid of. When I finally got to the ability to use the ‘NO’ command, OMG what a difference it has made. From that point Rich was able to bring other dogs into our training sessions and it finally gave me confidence that the aggression was something that could be dealt with. One quick side note…The BOX – this simple thing is the foundation of the training, and we have one at our front door, at work and at a weekend site. Indy loves to be sent to the box and always jumps on it with delight because he knows he’s going to get treats. He is very food motivated which is a big help in training. 😊 We are now doing the group sessions and I was pretty nervous at our 1st group but Rich was sensitive to this and kept an eye on us. Others in the group were pretty supportive and the comment was made “We’ve all been there” and it made me realize how fortunate Indy and I were to have started our dog training with AkinaK9/AHappyPetTail. All paws up to Rich, Suzana and Taren!

Boarded my 150lbs rottie mix here many times now. He has some issues with strangers, but luckily a trainer that he was familiar with from another facility now works here. They get along great, and the owners are always very responsive when I need to book.

Boarded my dog here for 5 days and it was an amazing experience! I always get nervous boarding my boy because of his reactive behavior but they have a behavioral boarding option and it made me feel much more at ease. Thank you for taking good care of our fur child!

They have been absolutely amazing with our 1.5 year old cat where we had to leave the country for a month to visit our parents. Alex and the team really made her feel comfortable (she is a shy cat). I will readily admit that I am one of those crazy dog moms - my pup is a full member of our family and I am very particular about her experiences. I checked out four different doggie daycares in the area before deciding to try out Lucky Buddies - and Lucky Buddies blew the competition out of the water. As other reviewers have mentioned, Lucky Buddies provides excellent care for pets - the staff are well trained, passionate, and friendly. They really get to know your pet and meet them where they're at. Neko started attending at 4 months old (she's now 13 months old), and the folks at Lucky Buddies have been so patient with her wild puppy and teenage months. They work with me on her training, and they clearly love her for who she is. And Neko loves going to both daycare and overnight boarding! The level of professionalism demonstrated at Lucky Buddies continually amazes me. The staff communicates frequently, and Yesica and Alex are always adding new improvements with the dogs' best interests in mind. I would not trust any other facility with Neko; Lucky Buddies is her home away from home, and I'm so glad we have them in our lives.

am so happy to have found Lucky Buddies! I've owned three dogs over the course of the past 20 years and have boarded them at 4 different locations. This is hands down, BY FAR the absolute best. I realize at first glance it seems expensive, HOWEVER, when you realize the overnight price is for 24 hours and includes the wonderful daycare program, it's very reasonable. The staff are just wonderful and clearly love animals--all are treated the way staff would treat their own pets. Among the many things I appreciate are the regular messages and photos they took during my pet's stay and posted on the portal as well as emailed or texted owners (depending on your preferred communication). The best proof, of course, is how happy my dog was during the stay and when I picked her up. Yes, she was glad to see me but clearly she was not anxious to leave (as has been the case in a different boarding place). Don't even hesitate; this is the place to go. Your pet will love it and love you for taking him/her there. For the first time in a very long time, I don't feel guilty about leaving a pet behind when I travel.

I had to go for an unexpected trip and was in a hurry to find a good overnight daycare for my cat. The staff was very patient with him, and he was even able to warm up to the staff in the short amount of time he stayed with the Lucky Buddy staff. Very grateful for the care and frequent updates the staff provided!

To say Yesica & Juan are doggy whispers is an understatement!! They seriously have been so flexible with my fur babies- Ollie & Sadie. having a place that can take in last minute requests is a plus! I cannot thank them enough for taking in my babies when need be. And of course keeping up with them via Instagram is also a relief! You get to see what the Buddies are all up to throughout the day! It’s always an adventure being posted on their. I cannot leave out all the doggy activities they do (you get to take home & let your doggy be creative) as well as all the themed festivities, a holiday? Believe Lucky Buddies will be celebrating it! Like Valentine’s day, St Patrick’s Day, Christmas, Halloween… etc., they do it all! These guys go above and beyond to ensure every dog gets enough exercise, play time, cuddles, food, treats… the whole nine yards! It’s the best.. i’m forever thankful for their service and love to my babies.

We began taking our puppy to Lucky Buddies a few months ago and have been so happy with their care! We've done daycare, boarding, grooming, and will soon start some in house visits as well. Our puppy loves playing with the other dogs, and always comes home happily tired and engaged. They are great at updating us, and we love catching glimpses of our pup's day on their social media accounts too! They use the timetopet app which has also been super easy to use and book services, they've also been very responsive to questions. We love Lucky Buddies so far!

Joji loves spending time at Lucky Buddies. I love seeing the videos of him playing and receiving daily reports cards with photos. He used to be a shy puppy, but he has become so social and playful after his stays with his buddies. He also enjoys the neighborhood walks and gets a bath before coming home! I was looking for day care for my 1 year old pup and was able to find Jackie through google. She was able to take him 5 days a week, full time, which was what me and my boyfriend were looking for. The meet and greet was great. She really wanted to make my pup feel comfortable. As the days went by, my pup was super excited each morning to see Jackie. She keeps us posted with our pup throughout the day and is extremely reliable! Would recommend to anyone trying to board or day care.

We meet Jackie over a year ago at puppy training. We were looking for someone to board our golden retriever puppy for a weekend. Our Lola was well taken care of and had a blast socializing with other dogs. She now goes 3 days a week for doggie daycare. She looks forward to seeing Jackie and her pups. Jackie is amazing. She is very responsive and flexible. I started going to her after looking for a dog sitter that was closer to my home. She is much more than a dog sitter. Her dog training experience and loving nature elevates her services. Recently, I went on a trip far away and Jackie was only able to watch my dog for a portion of the time I was gone. After I was not able to find other options, she offered to take care of him and drop him off at the second boarding place. She also fed him white rice and boiled chicken when his stool was too soft. Even though she does not take dogs with soft stool she cared for mine as if he were her own. Thank you Jackie. I'm only sad that I'm moving soon and won't be able to see you much longer.

Jackie (of Precious Paws) is amazing. We adopted a sweet but stubborn half-grown pup, and Jackie has worked hard to teach our dog some manners. Our dog loves going to see Jackie every day, because she’s given tasks to do, but also treated with love. Jackie has made a world of difference!

I boarded my 10 month old GSD puppy with Jackie for 5 days and I was extremely happy with how well she cared for my dog. I received daily updates and pictures of my pup and that really helped me since it was my first time away from him. Due to snow storms my flight was cancelled and I couldnt make it back in time for the pickup. Jackie went above and beyond to help board my dog for an extra night. I just wanted to share how much I love Precious Paws. My original dog sitter canceled on me at the last minute when I was ALREADY out of town and I called Jackie from Precious Paws who came through for me in a big way. Not only did she come pick him up and watched him until I came back in town, but she sent me updates that included pictures and just text messages that just left me know that he is in great hands and from the looks of things he made himself really comfortable on the couch. This is the exact kind care I was looking for. I didn't want to put him in a place where he was going to be another dog in a cage. I wanted him to have fun minus me and my son and that is exactly what I got. I am so happy with the care and will be back there for services again.

Luna did well during her 4-hour temperment test. They have a nice and large back area with canopies for the dogs to play while we are on vacation. We plan to leave her in their care for 9 days at the end of October beginning of November. We live in San Francisco and the price difference is steep for pet boarding. I'm saving $600 having my pet boarded in Hollister. Luna has been doing great during her stay! The staff send updates and pictures of her playing frequently. We will definitely use this service in the future. We have family in Hollister that can be our contact for Luna while we're away. I think you should try this pet resort! They seem really nice.

I boarded my Border Collie Trixie for 8 days while on a trip to the East Coast. She had a very good time and was well taken care of. I will definitely take her back for daycare and when I go on vacation. She also got a bath and a nail trim so she came home sweet smelling, trimmed and tired. I would recommend Parkland Pet Resort for your dogs.

I have been bringing my dog Harley to there 1st place in Salinas and always have been pleased with the quality and care they give them. Now that they are in Hollister & only 5mins from me I have been here 5-6 time now & couldn’t be more grateful for the same great care they provide for all dogs here. I would highly recommend Parkland Resort & will always continue to bring my dog. With such a great staff why would I go anywhere else.

I’ve been taking our chihuahua here for a few weeks. He’s being staying just a few hours at a time “day care”, to prepare him for some upcoming overnight stays. The location is well kept and staff are friendly and helpful. They send me updates via text with any behavioral concerns for my dog. He seems to enjoy the time he’s been spending socializing with other dogs. I will continue to bring him here.

I was looking for a safer place for my dog to get socialization other than the dog park. A friend recommended Parkland to me, and to my surprise, they are a very legit company. They know dogs. All dogs go through a four hour temperament test, not all dogs make it past because they are very strategic on what pack your dog fits into, which is how it should be. For example, If I am a Sales Person, you would not pair me up with a Software Engineer, because we just would not really get along, we have different energy and energy output. The facility is top notch, and they have an online portal where you can book and schedule everything you need, and also pay. Which is awesome for me because I am a corporate girly, with little time. I am very grateful to the staff at Parkland, and to the owners who took a risk to open the facility.I cant even imagine not having them anymore, and dont know how i managed before they opened. Thank you for everything, seriously.

I just boarded my 1 year old dog at Parkland for 5 days and he had such a blast. It was the first time boarding in general and we had a great experience. The staff was friendly, communicative and they even sent us a couple update photos on pickup day. I am so glad we have such a great facility in Hollister!

I recently left my two golden retrievers with Thuy at Puppy Paradise for four days, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, Thuy provided exceptional care and kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages, making us feel like we were right there with our pups. Her property truly lives up to the name “Puppy Paradise” — it’s spacious, safe, and perfect for dogs to explore and have fun. My dogs had an absolute blast, and I could tell they were treated like family. It’s clear that Thuy genuinely loves and understands dogs. I’ll definitely be using her services again and highly recommend Puppy Paradise to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Thuy at Puppy Paradise was amazing to my two girls. Kui and Lilikoi spent 5 days boarding filled with walks and activities that kept them active. The girls played with other pups including Mochi the Mayor who let them play with all his toys and napped on his many beds. I know the girls did not want to leave! Thuy sent me daily pictures of their walks and play time, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend Puppy Paradise for the best at home environment and care.

Thuy was fantastic with Henry. He stayed with her for 3 nights. She was very conscientious with him since he is deaf and has cataracts. She contacted us daily via text and photos. It was great to see Henry trying out all the beds! I’d recommend Puppy Paradise to anyone who wants a loving dog sitter.

I can’t say enough good things about Thuy and her Puppy Paradise dog boarding care! I recently left my little Bruno with her, and from start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Thuy made sure Bruno felt comfortable and happy, and she kept us updated with the sweetest pictures of him on walks and during sleep time. It was such a relief to see Bruno enjoying his time there, and I knew he was in caring hands. Thuy truly treats each pup like her own. Awesome experience with Thuy watching our German Shepherd. Our doggie has some separation anxiety and loves being around people and Thuy put her at ease and created an awesome environment for her. She also provided us with tons of pictures and updates, was the best dog sitting experience we've had.

Thuy was a very caring dogsitter for my little dog, Pebbles! She took steps to make sure Pebbles felt welcome and at ease and made Pebbles feel at home. Thuy also cared for me by sending me photos regularly during Pebbles’ 5-day stay so that I knew Pebbles was doing well on my first trip without her. I’m very grateful to Thuy and her Puppy Palace for taking such good care of the both of us!

Thuy is awesome!!! I would highly recommend her if looking for a dog sitter whether it's just for the day or overnight. I left my Larry with her for 3 nights and he loved his time with her!!! She was in tune with his personality and needs and has good judgment in how to handle not only him but multiple dogs together which is super important to me. She's trustworthy and I'd feel confident referring others to her for sure!!! And Larry loves her dog, Mochi which is another major plus!! I will def be using Thuy more in the future!! Puppy Paradise really lived up to its name. This is our first time boarding our girl Sadie with Thuy. Despite having two other dogs and her own Mochi over the weekend, Thuy managed to send us multiple updates throughout the day, with pictures of Sadie playing, walking, having fun, and getting tired out :) She also was very respectful of our training rules/diet with Sadie, and would have a routine tailored specific to her, not just "one routine fits all dogs". By the end, when we came to pick up Sadie, she'd been whining all the way back until she was back in the comfort of home. Don't know what magic Thuy has worked on her but she did not want to leave! We completely trust Thuy to look after Sadie again in the future, knowing that she would be loved and spoiled while we're gone.

Thanks for making my dog , Cooper, very happy while we were on vacation ! Cooper loves the play all day there and Thuy literally makes your dog feel at home. Cooper had access to their living space as well as their outdoor space. It was very nice to see his pictures everyday, and I could see he was very happy to be there. I appreciate Thuy so much for taking such great care of him. She would update us in the morning, at noon and in the evening. I would highly recommend Puppy Paradise, and I would always take my lil guy Cooper there.

We boarded our labradoodle at Thuy's place for a week recently and couldn't be happier. Our dog is a bit anxious by nature. Thuy worked overboard to make him feel safe and loved in her house. She communicated frequently and shared pictures and videos about their day. She even treated him to some puppychino from Starbucks - I'm sure our dog felt he was at a resort:-) This was the first time our dog seemed to miss the sitter after pickup - that surely is a strong vote of approval!!

Layla's pet service walks our dogs three times a week, and is amazing! She is incredibly responsible and always make sure to take good care of both dogs. Both dogs are extremely happy every time she shows up to walk them. She is very communicative and Respect. I highly recommend her as a dog walker!

Our chocolate lab, Jax fell in love with Vera instantly! Vera did drop in visits for us several times. Even some visits were late notice, she was so flexible and able to drop in to fed Jax for us. I can tell that pet care was her passion because she took initiative to observed and trained our Jax for us. She gave us some guidance of how to walk him based on his personality. We had a hard time walking him in the past, but since he was trained by Vera, he was so much calmer during our walks. I’m so glad we found Laylas Pet services and highly recommend them to any of your pet services. Thank you again Vera!

Took both my golden doodle (6) and German shepherd (3) to Layla's pet services a few times this summer. We are so greatful for such great services. The dogs stayed there a couple times while we traveled and they would send picture updates letting us see how good our fur babies were doing. Definitely recommend and will continue to take our dogs here when we go out of town!

Vera is a wonderful pet sitter who took excellent care of our furry baby. She is very warm and friendly and was great with Rex. She agreed to watch my pet on short notice! I highly recommend her!

Both our pups love going to daycare here! It’s great to know they’re safe and in good hands during the day. They come home completely exhausted from playing all day which is what we need with two energetic puppies. Would definitely recommend!

Mecca and her crew are absolutely wonderful! I received daily pictures and constant updates. We even had to coordinate an unexpected vet visit while we were gone and Mecca handled it beautifully - I didn’t have to worry about my fur babies for one moment.

Mecca has always loved animals. But she doesn't just do pet sitting! If you are going on a short or extended trip, she will spend time with your pets while you're away. She also does dog walking, as well.

Mecca is amazing! My dogs literally go straight to her house when they occasionally escape the yard. They LOVE her and so do I! HIGHLY recommend!

I cannot explain how much amazing this daycare is! From great communication to hilarious conversations. They sent videos of my pup and it was just a overall great experience. I was on a work traveling long-term for two months coming from Florida and they worked great with my schedule and super affordable. I was very nervous because my little Doxie is still a puppy and have not been to a daycare or interaction with other dogs in a new setting. Desjardins immediately welcomed her with love and she was in love with them and had so much. She made her first friends at this Daycare and I love the daycare so much they are overall great kind people. If you are looking for a daycare... I AM TELLING YOU, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO REGRET IT! It was worth driving 40 minutes to drop her off at daycare because of how great they are.

We just brought out ten year old terrier mix, Chewy, for a week of boarding with Sara and Kevin. We’ve needed to have him boarded before when we’ve gone out of town and have taken him to other places, but this was top notch. We received videos of Chewy on his vacation, and they contacted us with concerns of his allergies bothering him and came up with a plan to help him get some relief from his allergies and treated him with love and care. We can’t say enough good things about the peace of mind and care they provided to me and my husband and our dog Chewy. We picked him up today and he’s been snoozing ever since, likely because he was so busy and caught up in the excitement with having so many new dog and human friends ❤️

Wow! We are local but were going out of town, and used Desjardines for boarding for our two poodle mixes in their first boarding experience. From tip to tail, everything was perfect. Kevin and Sara were happy to answer all of our (many) questions, and gave us a tour ahead of time. Drop off was easy, and our dogs happily trotted off with Kevin. While we were gone we got videos of our pups being loved on and playing. Before we picked them up, they got a complimentary bath. Pick up was similarly a breeze. They are currently passed out, exhausted and happy after definitely having one of the best weeks of their lives. Not to mention, Kevin was so generous in helping us create a bathing routine for our doodles, whose matting is always an issue. Thank you! We will be back!

Desjardins Dog Day care is the best thing to happen to my dog! I am so happy to have found them. They take such good care of us. They keep track of our pup's vaccine records for us. They offer boarding and training. They offer pick up and delivery. They offer to rinse her off before sending her home. My pup is SO happy to go every week. The whole team is SUPER nice. My pup is a pittie and when we adopted her, she was inexperienced being in a house. She was scared. She chewed everything. She pottied in the house. I couldn't take her out on enough walks to get her energy settled. Then, within a couple weeks of going to dog day care at Desjardins, a switch flipped in our pup. She settled down at home and became the ultimate snuggly couch potato in the house. These folks are life savers. I can't say enough about how wonderful they are with our dog.

Simply the best - My 12 year old dog got 2 play with other seniors and had his own nice private shelter and couch. Everything was very clean and very well managed.

We've boarded our blind dog Maize here twice and he loves it. We get regular videos of him having fun playing with the other dogs and wagging his tail. He gets to spend lots of time outside and has a cozy spot to sleep near his friends. We're super happy we found a place that takes good care of Maize. And the socializing and outdoor time is a huge plus for us -- he loves it, and Sara and Kevin do a lot to accommodate him and his disability. Strongly recommend.

Desjardins Dog Care took care our two Greet Pyrenees dog for a week and did an absolutely great job. Our dogs are young, 2 and 3 years old, and we had not kenneled them before, so I we were a bit nervous. Sara and Kevin sent us videos every day, and it was so obvious our dogs were having a great time, and genuinely enjoyed their hosts. I am not sure they even wanted to come home!

Starr and Chris are Toby and Mina's home away from home. I am no sooner driving by Brookdale Lodge and they know where they are going and get excited!! Starr and Chris have been a lifesaver for me in last minute needs, as well as a peace of mind so I can relax on long vacations. What a better place for my pups to be where they have a yard to run around with new dog friends. All the cuddles and love at night inside the house.

Starr and her husband Chris have been an absolute god send for our coonhound, Albert. She genuinely helps even the most sensitive and wary of dogs flourish in the most organic and comfortable way. My dog LOVES visiting Starr and he is not a dog that likes to be away from his family. We have stayed with Starr a handful of times now, and for however long she has space for our loud fart machine; we will absolutely continue to go! We actually travel 40 min to take Albert to her. We have a more high energy and working / hunting oriented minded dog that can not necessarily find balance somewhere soley catering to a lap squishy. I don’t believe a lap squishy wouldn’t also LOVE Starr as well tho, I think her unique gift is how well she is able to understand all dogs. She goes out of her way to make sure she is brining all the dogs a very unique and necessary level of security they all need.

This place was so wonderful. Up until this point I had always taken my little guy Charlie to be boarded at a kennel and felt really bad for doing so. Starr and her family were wonderful. She sent me photos and updates and was incredibly understanding of the fact that he is a rescue boston terrier with a ton of energy. I read another review that stated she and her family treat dogs like family and they really do. It was such a comfort to know he had other dogs to play with, human company, and a comfy bed to curl up in at night. Many thanks to her and the wonderful service I received.

Starr and Chris are a Godsend! I have a 22lb, 15 year old, blind, deaf, special needs dog who is also currently dealing with severe separation anxiety after the passing of his original caretaker of 11 years, followed by a cross-country move. Starr and Chris babied him better than I do, which I didn't think was possible. Starr literally carried him everywhere, so much so that he didn't even need his leash during his stay. They administered his eye drops, ear drops, and antibiotic perfectly. They kept him clean, warm, and most of all, loved by the whole family. Starr even sent me photos and updates, and let me know he was eating and took his meds. I am so, so grateful I found them and will absolutely be back anytime I have to go out of town again. Starr and Chris have given me such peace of mind that my baby will be taken care of. I feel comfortable going out of town because I found them to care for my little old boy. Thank you so so so much Starr & Chris.

My 13 year old pup loves it here. She was timid at first and they knew that and gave her the attention and love she needed and now she is acclimated and happy. They are a cool, sweet family and treat the dogs like family when they are there. The yard is clean and awesome. All good over here at Brooktails!!!!! ❤️👍🐶 Oh, oh plus they send pics when I’m at work of her playing. They make me smile when I get them

We have two pups that we love very much and are very protective of as they are of us. We wouldn't take them just anywhere to board. Over time and through experience, we have built good repour and trust with Brooktails and wouldn't take them anywhere else. Starr, in my opinion is fast becoming a dog Whisperer. She has an innate ability to connect with the dogs, what I find most genuine is her great love for dogs. Starr is caring and compassionate and what impressed me was even carried her own pet insurance which tells me she really cares and is attentive to the needs of her fur babies

Our two dogs had such a great time with Starr and her family. They have a great backyard where dogs can have plenty of time outside playing and zooming with their friends. Starr and Chris were very careful and nice with our dogs, sending plenty of photos, giving me daily updates. I would definitely recommend this family if you want your dog being well treated and part of a family. My dogs went back home happy! Thanks again!

My dog Sherman had the best of care at Starr's. He was an older model with special needs and Starr took the very best care of him. I relish the photos and videos she took during the years he spent with her. Even now Starr sends me photos and videos as she comes across them. He was always so happy there. I highly recommend this business. Starr is truly a dog whisperer.

We had Pippin with Starr and Chris for 4 days - and he had a rocking good time there. He was well cared for, and Chris and Starr sent us pictures showing him settling in with his new friends. Awesome place ! Lovely large yard for dogs to do what dogs do ! Will definitely bring Pippin back here when we go on our next trip.
