Responsible, Young Married Couple — The "Ultimutt" Housesitters
This was our first experience of sharing our home and labrador with house sitters, and we were a little nervous about being on the other side of the world for three whole weeks. We needn’t have worried. Madelyn and Graydon were super organised and we had excellent communication before and during the stay. Frequent updates on Molly who was clearly happy to have found some younger playmates and thrived, I think she is missing them already. At my request they arrived a day early so we could do a proper hand-over and they were great guests for this time. House was spotless and they left a detailed report of their experiences with the house and Molly which were very helpful as a hand-back. We would jump at the chance of having them here again if they are available.

For us, caring for someone's precious pets and sacred space is a privilege.
Ginny & Chris are honest, reliable, friendly and relaxed people who have a genuine love of animals. When they arrived they got the usual barking welcome from Molly but within minutes she was calm and comfortable. Both our cats usually disappear when visitors arrive however they instantly took to our sitters and hung around all night. Flo is an old dog and you have to be patient with her. Ginny & Chris have experience with older dogs and were keen to know everything about her so she would be comfortable while we were away. They kept us updated while we were away with photos and little videos of our pets which was lovely and very much appreciated. Upon arriving back all our animals were healthy, happy and relaxed. The house was clean and tidy and Ginny and Chris had cooked a lovely dinner for us. If you want interesting, relaxed, friendly and reliable pet loving people then this couple totally fit the bill. We would not hesitate to have them back. Thank you for looking after our beautiful animals and home.

He didn't communicate much, but he had asked if we wanted daily updates and we did not. When we did reach out, he responded promptly. I would definitely recommend Steve for the job!

They sat for us before and were so wonderful with our pets and home, and we were thrilled they returned for another house sit. They are so organized, thoughtful and considerate of our home and our pets routines. Our neighbors all thought they were amazing and kind, too. They shared photos and updates throughout their stay. They also contacted us when there was a potential issue with our dryer. How amazing is it that they took the time to troubleshoot a potential issue? Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!

Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.

Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.

Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.

Laura is incredible! For starters, she is a clear and considerate communicator who is reliable and trustworthy while setting up details for a sit in advance. From there... where do we start?! Laura (and her sister Stephanie, for a few days) took care of our cat & dog for a week-long sit. We were immediately at ease with both of them, and it was clear that they were excited to meet our pets and love them, and relaxed and comfortable in this role. They asked informed and curious questions about our pets, routines, and the surrounding area to set up a successful sit. When we departed, our dog hardly seemed to notice, because she was getting to know her new people! The snuggle-fest and hiking adventures that took place while we were gone resulted in happy pets who were calm and content. We received daily photos, which were heart warming, and assured us that dog hugs and cat exercise were taking place. Our dog is very affectionate, and Laura made sure that she received plenty of love while we were gone. Upon return, our home was spotless - tidy and clean (possibly cleaner than when we left, and we tried really hard!) We are games people, and Laura left us some of her favorite games to play (yay), and gifts for our pets, which were so fun to open when we got home. Everything was so thoughtful and kind. Laura is absolutely one of the top sitters we've ever had, and we are so grateful for her care. She went above and beyond basic home/pet care, and her compassion shines through in all of her communications and actions. She (and Stephanie) are welcome anytime, and we (Zora and Morris especially) hope they will come stay again!

Anna was the perfect sitter for Tali, Mac and Sox. From the first moment we met Anna we all got on extremely well and we had no worries about leaving our pets in her safe hands. I was referred to Just Chasing Joy by my super sweet co-worker and it was no shock that Raquel is equally as sweet. She took excellent care of my Little Frenchie Princess Lola and I've already requested a 2nd Boarding lol. I'm very particular of who tends to my baby and I always worry about her if it's not with family, but I was at ease and able to enjoy myself with Raquel. I didn't need to bring anything except for food. Raquel provides beds, bowls, toys and lots of love 😊 Her house is so clean! My carpet isn't as clean as hers with 1 housebroken small dog! I used to stress out when it came to dog boarding my pit Junno,but after finding Raquel, I never have that worry anymore! Junno hates being locked in a cage and has really bad anxiety so he seeks that connection from a person, and it’s so hard to find someone who watches pits nowadays. Raquel is so friendly and Junno just loves her. He gets so excited as soon as he sees his cage getting packed up and the car loaded. I definitely recommend her if you are looking for someone to watch your furry friend!
I recently used the services of Chasing Joy for my amazing dog Cocoa. I was a bit nervous bc the last time I used a dog sitter, my experience was far from ideal, but I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere at Ms. Raquel's house is so welcoming for pets, and you can tell that she takes pride and JOY in reference to caring for someone else's pet. She has an opened fenced in back yard where the dogs are free to run around and toys to occupy them as well. I asked her of she would mind providing me with a report of his behavior when I picked up Cocoa, and she had a Pet Report Card. Needless to say, my experience exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be using Chasing Joy in the near future!!!
I love the relationship that Raquel has with my Koda Bear. She loves him and takes care of him like I would. She sends me pictures and sometimes videos of my baby, which I think is a sweet personal touch that definitely makes her business stand out from the rest. I would recommend her to EVERYONE I know. I had scheduled with another pet sitter who backed out the morning of my trip. I contacted Raquel and I was able to bring my sweet dog to her within 30 mins of getting off the phone. I'm very particular on who I leave my dog Zink with. However, I'm always taking vacations with my husband and before I would feel so guilty leaving him behind. However, I love how Raquel loves on Zink. When Zink is there he has a big yard to play in and she treats him like gold with having different doggie activities and including cool treats. I now feel confident in enjoying my vacation without feeling guilty for leaving him behind. She is super easy to work with and is very professional. Thank you for being Zink home away from home.
