Elizabeth and Norea arrived the night before we left on our trip and I knew immediately that they were a perfect fit for sitting at our rural, alternative home. We have 2 old indoor cats, Bert and Benny, an older dog, Abby, our wild child dog, Rosita, 3 aging hens and an aquarium. Norea fell in love with the cats and looked after cleaning the litter box daily, making sure that Benny had his meds each morning and insured that both cats received a surplus of love and attention. Abby, our older dog is a sweetheart and is easy to love. Rosita is also a sweet girl, but has enough energy for 5 dogs. She can be a challenge, but Elizabeth handled her with patience and consistency. I think Elizabeth's morning walks around the property with the dogs were a highlight. The chickens and fish had no complaints about their care. We cleaned our house before Elizabeth and Norea arrived, and it looked better when we returned from our trip, tidy and spotless. Elizabeth and Norea, a mom and daughter team, are caring, gentle, and trustworthy. I'm privileged to have met them and hope that they can return to watch our home.

Kinsey stayed with our 2 cats and home for almost a month. She is an excellent communicator and checked in with us before our trip about how often we wanted updates about our cats and our home. Within a day of departure, we received pictures of our cats warming up to her :) Kinsey is organized, responsible and very clean. She is so thoughtful too! We arrived home to a lovely note and some very sweet homecoming goodies. Most importantly, our apartment was clean and our cats were happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Kinsey for your next housesit! She is awesome!

Carrie was simply lovely! Both dogs obviously adored her right from the start and they were so relaxed and happy when we returned. We were only sad that Carrie was booked for just a weekend as she was a wonderful house sitter. Our house looked immaculate and the dogs had been taken for lovely walks, even though the weather had been atrocious. We really enjoyed meeting her and hope when she is next in the UK she will come and see us. We could not recommend Carrie more highly to look after your animals and house.

Sam and Rachel were excellent house and dog sitters for us and we would welcome them back anytime. Their communication was absolutely 5 stars before and during the sit, and their care of Diesel is 6+ stars! They sent updates periodically thru text and had cute photos of Diesel too. Really appreciate the house was clean and in pristine condition, and though we don't require linens to be laundered it was great to have that all done when we arrived. Wonderful people, and highly recommend them as sitters.

Kyle was such a great sitter for our two cats, Buffy and Milo, while we were gone for a month hiking the John Muir Trail. He proved very self-sufficient, which was super important for us since we were hiking and out of cell service for most of the time. Something that stood out was his adaptability. A summer storm knocked out power for two days and Kyle took it in stride. Most importantly, we came home to two happy cats and a tidy apartment. If I could give them more stars, I would! Just the loveliest family and a pleasure to know them. They left the house EMBARRASSINGLY clean! I didn't even know the floors could shine! Isla and Bobo were so relaxed and obviously we're extremely well looked after. They communicated well and were just a delight. I do hope we keep in touch as they are welcome back to stay as friends anytime.

Once again, having AnnaMarie take care of our pups was absolutely the right choice!! Her frequent updates, care of our house and fur babies was stellar! Although the dogs were thrilled to see us when we returned, as we chatted with Annemarie, we could see them continuing to go to her for affection and cuddles. It was so sweet to watch our one-year-old lick her ear and Annamarie just giggled and happily tolerated it. What a great sport😎. We would highly recommend her to anyone and would also suggest if you happen to see a less than perfect review for her ( there is only 1)I know the true story... it's unfortunate that some people are so unappreciative of someone who will go out of their way to care for their home and Pets (at no charge🙃🙃)-- it just boggles my mind and am confident they are not being honest! Suffice it to say she is a gem and perfect sitter in every way- if you can get a chance to book with her- do not hesitate! We truly think of her as part of our family now and all 5 of our pups would agree!

We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! Laura is responsive, a great communicator, I could go on but simply put she is welcome at our house anytime. Simply the best!! Thank you tons Laura!!

Neil and Anne have just sat for us for a second time, for a week. They are outstanding sitters in every way. Always punctual with communication and arrival. They both have responsible jobs and this is evident as they are both very organised. They care very much about the animals they look after. We were regularly sent updates, pictures and video clips of them, which is great to see when you are away. When we came home we were greeted by happy pets and an immaculately tidy house. We cannot recommend Neil and Anne enough. As far as we are concerned they are perfect housesitters! …...Hopefully they will come back and sit again soon!

Usually love this place but had a recent issue. Cat came home with bleeding and anxiety and had to go to the Vet. Ended up on antibiotics for 10 days. Tried calling and sent email asking if any other animals may have had an issue. Also concerned my cat may have infected others. Complete silence. No return call or message despite my effort. If this were a single time I’d be semi ok but two years ago our dog came home with a cough that needed treating. I get that they don’t want to get blamed for these health issues and it may be frustrating for them but a simple courtesy to a long time client seems like the least they could’ve done. Won’t be back.
We housed a homeless lady's dog for a little over a month & needed the hair trimmed to keep him cleaner. Some groomers are booked out several weeks. The groomer at the club offered and she did a wonderful job with him. The place is warm and clean. The dogs that are boarding at the kennel are taken care of, their holding areas are set up in sections in a way the dogs can hang out, go bathroom, and go outside. It's a cool set up! The road into the kennel is quiet and pretty, a great view for you and your pet. The staff are great and care about animals.
My dog and I loved the Canine Country Club & Feline Inn! She is usually frightened of new people and places, but the gentle, patient welcome she received upon our arrival for day boarding allowed for a smooth and reassuring dropoff. The facility is lovely and communications with the manager and carers was excellent. Very accommodating, we will definitely bring our pet here again.
Our dogs LOVE this place. We’ve boarded them here twice. The second time, we had just turned off Rt 1 and were headed down the road to the kennel when the dogs started bouncing around and whining like they do when they’re really excited. I don’t know what these folks do to make them so happy, but it’s evident to me that my dogs would happily live here full-time. I honestly think it’s a bit of a let-down when we pick them up and bring them home.
We have boarded our dog Sophie at the Canine Country Club a number of times when we go out of town. The people there always remember us and take good care of my little baby. I completely trust them to give her the medication she takes daily. Sophie goes in the door wagging and comes home happy and healthy.

Although they told me they had never had a 'family of six dogs' stay (be boarded) with them, I was thoroughly pleased to see my babies were very well taken care of, and loved as much during their stay, as they get when they are home. I was so happy with their service, that I now book all flights out of Bangor airport and pay the difference (even though I love closer to Portland airport) just so I can take my babies to this facility! I would highly recommend this place!
Kasey has always had a positive experience at Canine Country Club. She was a rescue dog who was very timid at first but Sarah, Chris and the staff made her feel at home. They gave us peace of mind when we were had to go out of town. Thanks!
We left our dog here for three days while on a business trip, and everyone was very friendly. However, when we got her home again, we noticed she had a limp and wasn't eating. Eventually she did eat but she seems much more tentative about it now and will not eat when people are around. I have no idea what happened there, and it may be that none of this is the fault of the staff, but nevertheless, I don't think we'll be boarding her there ever again.
