We booked Joanne and Rick in January. We had a great interview and booked them at that time. I kept in touch through the next couple of months. Joanne was very responsive and a great communicator. When they showed up at the scheduled time, we hit it off right away. Indy was very 'taken' with Joanne and I knew it was going to be fine. I asked for a picture or two each day. They took Indy on hikes almost everyday and I got great photos of him and the beautiful scenery. The house was just as I left it, neat and tidy. It was a pleasure to have them stay in our house. I felt that it was going to be a good sit and it was. I would definitely recommend Joanne and Rick and would have them back any time.

Newly Divorced Teacher Looking for City Life This Summer.
Joel was respectful and very good about communicating with us before and during his sit. He had a family emergency after the first night and had to leave early, but we appreciated that he drove back to our house the next day to feed our cats. When we arrived home, our cats were healthy and satisfied. My only complaints are that their separate feeders were left open, so they likely ate each other’s food (they have different diets), and their litter boxes were quite full. I am sure Joel would have been a great sitter had he not had to deal with his emergency.

Janis and her husband Dan were beyond phenomenal! Communication was great leading up to their arrival, especially with coordinating arrival and departure times. And during the sit, I got lots of picture updates throughout of how Isabel was doing. I could tell from the pictures how comfortable and happy my dog was hanging out with Janis and Dan and getting all the pets and attention. Coming home, everything was left so clean and organized. I definitely recommend them as pet sitters as they clearly took such good care of both my pup and my home.

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

Can't say enough good about The Pawmer House! We owned it for 15 years, and I am extremely critical. I have to say that Sherri and Don may even do a better job than we did! The best of the best, can't say enough good about them. Boarded my 2 Golden Retrievers there this past week, and they had a great time. They came home smelling so good I actually contacted the Pawmer House to see if they had had a bath, which they had not. Awesome place!
Our pups Cosmo & Millie have stayed multiple times, as soon as we pull in they know where they are and get excited! They run right in. The indoor kennel sizes are great and each have a window. The staff is friendly and it’s so nice to see the same staff is there that have spent time with our dogs previously. Hi Connie! :) We get pictures sent to us while we’re out too, which is always nice! I recommend this facility whenever I get the chance. Thanks Pawmer House!
Sherry and her staff at Pawmer House were amazing , we used them when boarding our goldendoodle puppy (7mo) for the first time in July. They went above and beyond to make Finn and us feel comfortable boarding him. They treated him as he was their own. I can not say enough good things about them. Their facility is spotless and we now refer to it as “Disney World for Dogs “ !! You will not be disappointed !! 🐶🐾

Wonderful staff and facilities! We are so glad we found Pawmer House to take care of our boys during our stay in the Chicago area. We travelled from Arizona to attend a family reunion and spend some time in the city, and were so glad that Pawmer could accommodate us! Staff were helpful and very responsive when I called to check availability and walked me through what they needed for their stay. Facilities are lovely and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed the large grassy dog run. Highly recommend Pawmer!!
My mother boarded her two older dogs at this business, a yorkie and a Maltese, for her six-week vacation in Florida. Not sure why their experience was not the same as those above, but somehow her dogs were fed double the daily amount of food. Not only can her one dog barely walk because she’s overeaten so much, but they had the nerve to charge my parents for two extra bags of dog food, when more than enough was provided when the dogs were originally dropped off. Absolutely unacceptable for a pet hotel, do not recommend!
Amazing! I never boarded my dog before because she can be dog aggressive. I can't say enough about how happy my dog was in the photos and videos they sent! She had never been away from me for so long and she seemed to thrive! The facility is extremely clean and well kept! The hearts and attention to detail in the staff was something I've never seen before when working with animals! I will definitely board my dog here in the future rather than leave her with friends! Highly recommend!!!
The Pawmer House is incredible!! The owner is so nice and organized with paperwork and booking. The staff were all great and even helped get my big pups in the car. The runs are a good size, clean, with water provided, a bed, and a tall gate. There are plenty of runs to play in outside. The prices are good as well with no hidden charges. We are so happy we found this pet hotel!! We will be back time and time again!

We recently had Barb take care of our 4 dogs and 4 cats (for the first time) while we were at a wedding, which was a distance from our house. We would be gone for quite a while so I looked into having Barb come here. She took such good care of them, and spent some time here, not just running in and out. Barb treated our animals like they were her own. It was nice going out and not worrying about our fur babies. I would highly recommend Barb and plan on using her services again. She is such a kind and caring person. I wish I found her sooner!

He adored Carly the moment he met her at the meet & greet and her daily visits during my absence went fantastically well. Bark it out provided exceptional service when we were on vacation for 10 days. Carly came in 3 times per day to check in on our 2 cats and dog, giving them all the attention, love, and walks! She consistently kept us all up to date every time she would check in on them, sending over photos and updates on how they were doing/eating. My cats can be pretty nervous around new people, but with Carly they didn’t bat an eye and they loved her! This was our first time using Barrk It Out and it won’t be the last! We had to leave town for longer than we’re usually comfortable leaving our cat at home, but Carly made us feel super secure and happy knowing our pet was so well taken care of! We got pictures and videos every day showing that our cat was eating and playing significantly better than she usually does while we’re away, and we came home to find her happy and relaxed. Our cat also takes oral meds daily, which makes it more difficult to find a sitter we really trust with her care, but Carly handled it with ease. Can’t recommend this service enough.
