Here's a draft for your doggie daycare review: --- I’ve been taking my dog to Free Range for over 15 years, and we absolutely love it! From day one, my dog has been excited to walk through the doors. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about the well-being of the dogs. The facilities are top-notch, especially with the recent addition of new turf, which is a great upgrade for outdoor playtime. In all the years we’ve been coming, I’ve never had any major issues. Whenever there’s been a minor concern, it’s always been resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Free Range to any pet parent looking for a safe and happy place for their dog!

Abbie at Free Range Doggy Day Care has recently been grooming my dog. After several grooming experiences with other groomers I highly recommend Abbie as a #1 dog groomer. He is clean, smooth, very well brushed out with great looking nails and happy. He has never looked and smelled so good. And best of all he likes being with her. Thank you Abbie for taking such good care of Ollie.

I have been bringing my dog to Free Range for a little over 2 years and have always had the best experience. The staff is so wonderful with him and helps allow me to know that he is in good hands during the day! I have also boarded him overnight and he comes back happy!

Great renovations. The daycare is on the smaller side which has its benefits! All the dogs love it there. If you know me then you know I’ll miss being at the front desk and seeing these faces!

What a great place to leave your dog for the day or during a vacation. Remy always comes home exhausted and mellow. I even take advantage of their onsite groomer, Abbie. Remy does not like baths but Abbie always gets the job done. His fur is always so clean and smooth. The staff will not disappoint you or your dog.

The groomer Abbie K at Free Range is by far the best groomer for my tempermenatal cocker spaniel who does not liked to be groomed at all. He is about 3 years old and has been to about 5 different groomers. None of them made my dog look so good. Most groomers would actually shave him all over and indicate what a handful he is or give up and ask that he be picked up because they could not handle him. I have had to medicate him in the past that is how much he dislikes the process. Abbie has the patience of a saint and was up to the challenge and no longer is medicated for the process. Henri now has a beautiful coat fully brushed out and looks like his breed. Abbie really is a miracle worker. We bring him every month now for a bath or to be fully groomed. I know how difficult the process is as I tried to groom him myself with all the professional tools and let's just say he looked choppy and uneven. This is why I believe it's so important to tip all dog groomers. Thank you Abbie for your hardwork. I appreciate your perseverance and can do attitude. Henri loves going to daycare here too, I love Saturdays less dogs as during the week.

Found this place by chance when our normal place was booked. Our Great Dane would walk into the old place a little hesitant, now as soon as the car door is opened he is as happy as can be ... Staff is super friendly and throughly enjoy what they do. Update 9/30/22: Wow! they are getting serious upgrades inside and out. Pete the manager was awesome once again. Even with everything going on around him (contractors, people coming and going) he was professional and took the time with us -it's a great feeling when you leave your pet with Pete and his staff; you can walk away with confidence that your pet will be well taken care of and loved.

Free Range is the top dog daycare in the area. Not only is it clean, but the staff is professional and my 2 large breed dogs come home exhausted after a day there which is great for me. The staff is always responsive and they offer a wide range of services including grooming. You will also receive frequent “report cards” that track your dog’s behavior, habits etc… I always trust that my dogs will be well taken care of when I drop them off at Free Range, and their hours of operation are very convenient for the average work schedule as well.

I recently booked an appointment with Abbie for the first time for my dog, Opie, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! She was friendly and professional, and she did an amazing job grooming my dog. She left him looking fresh and tidy and kept in contact with me from start to finish. Her attention to detail was impressive, from nail trimming to ear cleaning. My dog came out looking and feeling fantastic! I'll definitely have Abbie treat him again soon!

My experience with the staff and services at Free Range Doggie Daycare and overnight camp have been fantastic. They are super organized and efficient. The system used for uploading vaccinations and information is easy to use. If you have to contact them, they get back to you right away and are happy to let you know how your pet is doing and behaving. The drop off and pickup has been flawless and our dog looks great and happy being with the other dogs. This was her first time going to daycare and kenneling overnight, I would definitely bring her back again.

Tolland Tails has been a life saver! For us and our boy! We were his third home and he had issues with socialization. Needless to say, with all of the hard work of the staff, and relationships he has built with his daycare pals, Dodger is a new dog! He no longer lunges like he used to on walks around the neighborhood, and he is just generally happy and chill! He LOVES going so he can hang out with his friends and pesters me every morning until I get his harness out! Thank You Tolland Tails! You have helped us give our boy a fulfilled life!

I hate to leave 1 star because I'm not sure if it deserves it. However, based on my one-time experience I don't want to give any more stars. I have been looking for a doggie day-care for a couple of weeks. I visited 5 different establishments near me without my dog, just to get a feel for the atmosphere of each place. With the exception of Tolland Tails, every other potential day-care allowed me to see the space where dogs had access to. This was important to me to know the size, space and number and sizes of dogs that my dog would be interacting with. In addition, every other day-care offered a free short evaluation to see if my dog would be good in a day-care environment. I was shocked to hear, after deciding to leave my dog for 3 hours, specifically stating to them that this was an "eval" visit, that they told me that there were charging me for half a day. My mistake to assume that they were the only ones to charge me for a first intro visit. When I dropped my dog off this morning for 3 hours, I was hoping to see at the end if he was having a good time out there...how was he behaving, reacting to the other dogs, etc. To my dismay, I was told that it would be too disturbing for the other dogs if I peeked into the space. Why only this place was I not allowed? The employee stated in our conversation, "we're a small business" when telling me I had to pay for the half day. Let me give you some advice... if you want to grow your business, allow people to see your facility so that people can decide if they feel comfortable leaving their dog there. And don't be cheap about charging for a 1st time eval visit. Finally, if someone fills out your new client forms and submits them to you, you should reach out to acknowledge receipt and give some sort of invitation. Now I am going to reply to your unprofessional response to my review. You can show the world your video, because it is a lie that I asked to enter the group to watch my dog play. I wanted to see him from a distance. That is not too much to ask. Why should I trust that things went well when I couldn't even see the space or other dogs that he interacted with? Every other facility that I visited gave me a glimpse of the space where the dogs were interacting. Some even have cameras available. My voicemail, by the way, works fine. I have no record of receiving any phone call from you. I have never had any complaint from anyone about calling me or leaving a voicemail. I did no such thing as yell, intimidate or treat staff poorly. You can show that to the world what you have on camera. For me to state displeasure is not yelling or intimidating. I, as a potential customer, can voice my objection to what I can poor business practices. Is it a threat to say that I would leave a bad review on Google? No, it is purely a statement. As far as "trusting you" to leave my dog for 3 hours, I see your positive reviews on Google, so I thought it was not a risk to leave him for a couple of hours. Why are you the only facility to charge for a first time introductory visit?

More than five stars! I have been bringing my dog here since she was eight weeks old and she is nearly 3. It is the best I have ever seen. The staff and their experience levels, and their care is exemplary. This business goes above and beyond the call of duty.

We've been taking our high-energy dog here for daycare and boarding for 2 years now, and they are fantastic. The facilities are clean and the friendly staff takes great care of our dog. Throw in the fact they also do great grooming and you have a five star review and then some!

Such a great experience here! I was nervous to board my younger dog as he is anxious around new people but they were so understanding and welcoming with him and really made me feel comfortable leaving him in their care. I brought my dog here a month ago and he returned with a weird rash on his face swollen paws and hasn’t acted the same since. When I messaged the owners to express my concern they had absolutely no care in the world. I had to suffer and pay the vet bill

Our girls first experience with Tolland Tails was everything we hoped it would be. Communication was quick and easy as I learned about them and came to take a look at their facility. The grounds has undergone a major transformation and provides a safe secure environment for the dogs. They have outdoor areas and also indoor areas for feeding and breaks. Drop off and pick up times were perfect for our needs and they made it a quick and easy experience. Josie, our very energetic 1.5 yr old Husky, clearly had a blast with all the dogs staying there with her. She came home ate her dinner and slept very soundly the rest of the night. We’re so happy to finally have a safe and fun option for our girl here close to home. Sara and Alyssa have a lot of experience between the two of them with dogs which made me feel very at ease leaving Josie in their care for the day. Thank you Tolland Tails!!

I send my two pups there almost weekly and have been a client for over a year and a half! I get photo’s throughout the day of the dogs playing and having a blast. Drop off and pick up is very organized, and Becky is flexible with my crazy schedule. I have used FurryFriends to board my dogs while I was away and I know that they are well taken care of and in good hands. I have also used Becky for grooming services. My dogs have never gone anywhere else I completely trust the care they receive there and they look forward to going weekly!

We were in a rush to find a dog care place before our vacation and our friend recommended Becky. We couldn’t be happier with Becky! She was flexible to work with and responsive to all of our questions. We felt good to leave our dog with her knowing that she was passionate about the dogs under her care and would take good care of him. We could see that our dog had a great time and made many new friends from the daily pictures from Becky. We would definitely recommend Becky to anyone who is looking for a superb dog care place for their dogs.

Becky and Chris are the best! Our dog loves going to doggie daycare ( and doesn’t want to leave when I pick her up). The few times that she was boarded there, it was comforting to know that she was enjoying herself and being well taken cared for!

Such a wonderful place, highly recommend from repeat customer. Becky and Chris have boarded my dog overnight several times, always a good experience. What makes this place so special is that it’s home based, they run it from their house. Dogs are with Becky and Chris and family and spend time in the yard and house and sleep inside the house at night. There’s always someone around 24/7. They do a good job scheduling so it’s not overcrowded and the dogs there are friendly and well behaved. Nice fenced in yard for exercise and play. Daily pictures sent to you via Facebook messenger to keep your mind at ease. Both Becky and Chris very nice and easy to talk too. They’re both highly skilled dog handlers and certified pet sitters trained in CPR and administration of medicines and such. Very attentive and caring to the dogs in their care. I trust Becky and Chris, the only place I will leave my dog. My pup always has a good time there and I know he’s well cared for, like a vacation for him too. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

The staff here is fantastic and my dogs love coming here. They take great care of my animals and are very accommodating whenever my pets have to be boarded with them. They also have a camera service available so you can check out how your dogs are doing throughout the day. My dogs are picky eaters and follow a very specific meal plan; the staff was able to follow those instructions and take care of my dogs. The groomers are also excellent and have always made my pups look great. They also have social media profiles showcasing the dogs and how much fun they are all having. And they host birthday parties for the puppies! Sure, the place is smaller than Camp Bow Wow but the quality of care and services is on par with any other facility. I'm very happy with how great Valley Boarding Kennel and how they have treated my family and pets.

I always used Valley Boarding and Grooming for more than one dog. Then my current dog was treated about 3 years ago horrifically by a groomer that later left. My dog's skin was deeply scratched, scabbed and developed large infected areas after I picked her up. It cost me over $350 at the vet to have her treated. She wouldn't let me pat her and ran out of there without even greeting me - completely out of character. It had happened to her in the last few hours of her stay, just before i picked her up. It looked like the groomer used a rake and scored her skin, i stopped counting after 3 dozen deep bleeding scratches all over her chest, back, and hindquarters. My biggest disappointment was that although I felt we had a good relationship for 13+ years of my using them for 3 dogs, as soon as I pointed out how badly she was injured, the owner stopped returning my calls, refused to look at her scabs, and when I trusted enough to try to take her back a few months later (with no intention of having her bathed that time) I discovered that they had completely erased my more than a decade of history as a client without notice. I am not litigious, and was prepared to just avoid having her bathed there again, but that was the final straw. I cannot recommend them again. This is the first time I have even warned anyone away, but seeing her in pain is still a fresh memory. I had even overlooked the time that my sister in law used them, and they released her dog to another owner, who drove away with the wrong dog. She had to deal with them bringing out the wrong dog to her and the stress of not knowing where her dog was for a good deal of time. I now use Camp BowWow in Bloomfield and my dog and I are very happy.

Sadly, I dont feel good anymore about this place. It seems they dont have any attwbtion to detail and when I asked how did my dog did after a week I left him for boarding, the woman in the counter did not have any idea as she said she just started her shift. She promised a call back and never did. The last time they forgot to give me my dog's dishes and have to drive back. Dog came home with diarrhea...not sure anymore.

I brought my rescue pup Bebe here for two days of boarding. They do have webcam so you can see your pup in play areas 1 and 2 and outdoor play if they have the daycare portion of their stay. Bebe went for daycare but was too anxious and nervous and wanted to hide so we now know that is not good for her. They have food there but you can bring your own and you can bring a bed or toy. Bebe was very happy when I came for her and I will use this kennel again. The staff are friendly and efficient.

On top of the friendly staff, the service was great. I brought my two black german shepherds in and they came out amazing. Their undercoat was all blown out which helps tremendously with the shedding. I dropped off in morning before work and pick up after work. How convienent. Overall great experience. My mom has had her small dog groomed and trimmed and she has said they do a great job on him as well. Highly recommend. Love dealing with friendly upbeat people.

Don't send your dog there if they are allergic to anything. We left our dog there for a weekend with extremely clear instructions on her food allergies. We provided them with the only food our dog could safely eat. The Kennel claimed they followed our instructions, but when we picked up our dog she was sick and vomiting blood. The vet said she must have been eating things she was allergic to.

The people seemed great. The problem is my dogs came home with kennel cough. It didn’t seem to phase them at all. Said it is going around. I am very disappointed that something like this would happen. I understand that nothing is 100% but some compassion and follow up from them would go a long way. We paid a lot of money and trusted them to take care of our dogs, keep them safe and was completely let down.

Do not bring your dogs here. I brought my now 9-month old puppy there for a few months. After a couple weeks, I noticed my puppy would vomit wood chips every night after going to daycare. Valley has wood chips in their outdoors area. I told the staff and asked them to keep a better eye on her. Their response the first time was "we can put a muzzle on her during the day." Knowing that was dangerous and traumatizing for a dog, we said no. The second time we asked, they said "No, we have too many dogs that it's not possible to watch any of them specifically." After that, we decided to bring our puppy for the few remaining days on left on her pass and then switch daycares. After her last day, she had to be hospitalized. Her GI track was inflamed from the wood chips and she became dangerously ill. She has since made a full recovery after being hospitalized and on medication and a bland food diet for over a week. We spent almost $1,500 in vet bills to help her. These people are reckless and negligent with their care of animals and should not be trusted, nor should they be in business.

Wonderful place! Our foster dog goes here once a week and the staff is wonderful. I always feel like our dog is in good hands. They are extremely patient and professional. Highly recommend!

Bear our shepherd mix loves going to camp bow wow. He has changed for the better. Taking Bear to camp It allows me to drive with my best friend to and from work since camp is close by. The Camp BowWow staff clearly enjoys the dogs, and clearly love their roles in taking care of the dogs, which is most important to me. Curtis employees friendly environment. My dog always has lots of fun his tail never stops wagging. After years I've never seen a mean dog there. All friendly in the small dog area.

We love Camp Bow Wow in South Windsor. Very friendly, helpful staff. We feel this is a very safe space to leave our fur family, and never worry when we use their boarding services.

Our puppy loves going to Camp! The entire staff is so friendly and dog loving. We never worry about her when she is there. And when she comes home, she is wiped out and so cuddly from a day of play!

Our boy Archer was not interested in playing very much (we were lucky enough to catch it on a Camper Cam) but the staff member with him could not have been caring, engaging or thoughtful. I hired Whiskered Pals over two years ago to help care for my vizsla puppy Vida and highly recommend Sam and her employees! I have been boarding Vida for two days every week while I work long shifts for over a year and a half now, and just started boarding my mutt-puppy Sparrow. Sam treats my dogs with care and loves them like her own. Communication is excellent and I love getting photos of my pups. I know I don't need to worry about them when they're in Sam's care.

Sam was so helpful to our family when we had Ellie as a puppy. Sam handled her "high energy" beautifully. Not only did Ellie enjoy Sam coming to walk her, but we also began to rely on Sam's feedback. She sent me updates and pictures everyday and even offered to water my plants and get the mail while I was away... We are thrilled with Audrey. She is reliable and trustworthy. We have one indoor cat, one outdoor cat (who vanishes when we travel), fish and plants. All are always well taken care of, giving us great peace of mind. Audrey does not hesitate to contact you if she has a concern. We had a bad cat fight during our last trip (Feb.). Audrey found blood and fur on the snow on the deck and was worried about our outdoor cat. Fortunately our security cameras captured the fight and our cat was not involved. We were able to share the videos with Audrey so she could also have peace of mind. Our outdoor cat showed up a day after our return looking no worse for wear.

We're so glad we discovered Happy Paws last year. Audrey took great care of our 13-year-old cat while we took a few week-long trips during the summer. Audrey texted updates & photos so we always had peace of mind, especially since Curtis the cat is very social & gets anxious when no one's around. While he doesn't currently have health problems it's good to know she can monitor him when we can't. And based on reviews from her other clients I'm confident she'll handle any such health issues should they arise while she checks on Curtis during our upcoming trips.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Happy Paws. We utilized their services to help with our elderly cat while we went away for Christmas. Our cat required medications (topical, specialized feedings and oral syringe) twice a day and Audrey was not only reliable and dependable with delivering the meds, but she also sent us some updates with texts and pictures. Audrey was very thorough and attentive from the initial interview throughout the entire process. We highly recommend Happy Paws for your pet sitter needs.

Audrey took fantastic care of our three cats while we were away for a week. She truly loves animals and it shows. By the time we came back, the cats were happy to see us but not desperate to see us - the true sign of a well-cared for cat. We will hire her whenever we are away.

When I met Audrey I was so relieved to find a pet sitter who I could trust with my fur babies. I was disappointed with all the kennels we had tried and was looking for a safer stress free option for my Goldendoodle and Siamese cat. Audrey has been our only pet sitter now for a year and a half. I'm so thankful that I have Audrey to check in on my dog Elvis !! Audrey is visiting Elvis several days/week and she is so patient with him. Elvis is a senior dog that is blind so he can't be rushed while outside or to do anything really, except eating of course :) Audrey is excellent with him and 100% reliable. Audrey is also very good at communicating if there is anything I need to know. Can't recommend her enough to anybody in need of a reliable and very caring dog walker or pet sitter.

I have zero complaints when it comes to Happy Paws Pet Care. Audrey goes above and beyond to meet her customers needs, whether that customer has two feet or four paws. My husband and I are extremely grateful to have Audrey check in on Tsavo and Chloe when we are away from home for long periods of time. Audrey is the best. Such a relief to have someone to care for my two fuzzy babies when I'm away. Definitely will book with her again and recommend!

Bolton Kennels is an excellent place to bring your pets. We have used them multiple times and they treat our dogs very well. On their last visit, the dogs got into it with each other (they were staying together) and one had to make a trip to the pet emergency room. The team at Bolton Kennel handled it very well, kept in contact with us and made sure both dogs were well taken care of. They are our go to for boarding.

Prior to our dogs staying at the kennel,we were able to tour the facility. It was the dogs 1st time going to a kennel,Bolton kennel was the only place that would let us see where the dogs were staying, the staff working there are very caring. Jillian makes you feel at ease and is very reassuring, her and the other staff took great care of dogs! We will definitely use them again

Just wanted to write a quick review of how great the service is! Brought my two huskies in for a bath, de-shed, and nail trim. As you know, summer and huskies means lots and lots of hair! Foxy pups were amazing with my two dogs, very professional, friendly, and did an amazing job! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I was just calling around to inquire about last minute boarding which I knew was most likely not going to work. Unfortunately, The person that I spoke with on the phone cut me off when I told her the dates and was just saying “no, no, no, we don’t have any openings” after I said thank you she immediately hung up. I like to leave my animals with people who are empathetic and show that to the dog owners as well as dogs. Unfortunately not a good experience I’ve had so far.

I always feel relieved knowing my dogs are in the care of Bolton Kennels. Leaving your dogs for any period of time can be stressful but with Bolton Kennels I know my dogs are safe, secure and loved. I even get to see pics of my guys on Facebook when I am away and they are quick to respond to my messages when I want to check in. I have been a customer for many years.

The staff here are incredibly loving and caring. They treat each pet boarded as their own. Our own pup enoys her stay and we are never worried when we need to leave town. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to our pet!

The best groomer in the area. Always takes great care of my dog and leaves her looking amazing. She truly cares about the animals and ensures they're pampered all day. Even puts on a bandana after to ensure my dog is styling.

Sadly, our old dog died there under their care. They couldn't have been more sensitive or loving. This is the most humane kennel I've ever used. If she had to die anywhere else and not at home, I'm thankful it was here.

Amazing care and service by Mike and Luann. We have been using Sheridane for over a decade no and have never had an issue. They even hand feed my 15 year old who likes to be very finicky about meal time .

Mike & LuAnn are among the most knowledgeable and compassionate animal caregivers I know. They have been in business since 1973 and they live on the premises, but most importantly, my dogs love them! My dogs always have a blast when they’re at Sheridane, so much that sometimes I think they don’t want to come home!

They took care of my pup for me at the end of her life. They were experienced in knowledgeable and I trusted them to administer her meds and take care of her. Thank you for your care and compassion!

My dog got kennel cough there after 1 visit. Owners wouldn’t own up to it. Convenience isn’t worth more than dishonesty.
