This place is very family oriented and my dogs LOVE it here. I pretty much bring them here to play rather than for having to be watched (though I trust them for that in the future). I prefer that this place is smaller / cozier over other options of the area. It's my preference, the other places are fine but felt a bit cold to me. These people love dogs and are experienced, I trust them 100%. I care about how my dogs feel going any place and this seems to feel like a second home for them. Thank you! :)

Fercho takes amazing care of our little dog. She loves spending one day a week here, socializing and playing with her daycare friends. She has stayed over for boarding a few times with no issues and always comes back home confident and well taken care of! Absolutely would recommend ❤️

Wonderful daycare or boarding facility! Luis loves dogs and is very patient with my giant Bernese mountain dog puppy. You know your dog is in great hands when you drop them off here.

We've been sending our golden doodle to fuzzy tails for the last month and he always comes back happy and extremely tired from all the play. The facility has an indoor and outdoor space to make sure the dogs can play rain or shine. Luis is extremely kind and is sharing updates throughout the day. We've been to multiple day care facilities but the attention our dog gets at fuzzy tails is unparalleled.

Our dog is SO excited to go Fuzzy Urban Tails when we bring her in the morning (and so tired from playing with her dog friends when she gets home). The staff is kind, flexible, and communication is wonderful. We have had our dog at other daycares, but they do not compare to this space. I love knowing she is getting time each day in the outdoor area and comfy place indoors as well. I would highly recommend!

We've been sending our dog to Fuzzy Urban Tails for about 8 months. She cannot wait to go and comes home happy and tired. It's obvious how much love, care, and attention the owners give towards the dogs. The facility has great indoor and outdoor space. It's a great community for our dog that far exceeds any other daycares we have used. We highly recommend.

We just boarded our mini Goldendoodle puppy, Rudy (only 6 months old!), at Fuzzy Urban Tails for a week while we took a family vacation that wasn't dog friendly. It was the best experience and we will definitely use them again. They sent pictures every day with an update on how Rudy was doing. She played with other dogs, they took her on walks, and gave her so much love and attention. They also made sure to ask us about her schedule and did everything they could to keep her on her routine. You can tell that everyone who works there truly cares about dogs. We were so nervous to leave our puppy, but they quickly put our minds to ease. Our kids said that Rudy looked so happy in the photos it was like she went on her own vacation!

We just started taking our 8 year old Jack Russel mix to Fuzzy Urban Tails once a week when we saw they opened up and he loves it. Luis is very kind and sends us pictures during every visit, and Rico is always playing with the other dogs. We appreciated all the topics he had on his questionnaire, you can tell he really cares.

We board our 2 year old Goldendoodle, Java, here at least once a week and he absolutely loves it! Luis is fantastic with dogs and he runs a great boarding and daycare facility. He was even kind enough to show us around the place on our first visit, which gave us comfort knowing the kind of fun and playful environment we would be leaving Java in. The best part is that his pricing is very fair and competitive with other pet boarding and daycare facilities in the area. We look forward to keeping on coming back with Java!

My dog has been going to Fuzzy Urban Tails for almost 8 months and we love it!! She is always so happy when we arrive at their door and it's clear how much they care about her and the other dogs. They also have good knowledge of dog behavior and often provide helpful tips!

I am so lucky to have found Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting! I was so hesitant to take my Australian Shepherd puppy to daycare due to his separation anxiety and need for mental stimulation. Kylie has been so great with my dog who started going at 8 months old and is now 1 year and 2 months old. My dog Bogey is excited when he walks outside in the morning and sees Kylie. He has no hesitation to leave me and is ready to spend the day with Kylie. Kylie and her team are amazing not only with my dog but with the entire “pack” at daycare. I never have to worry or wonder how my dog is doing with her constant Instagram updates. I know he is getting constant mental stimulation and exercise throughout the day with their continuous group training exercises that are fun and engaging for all the dogs as well as their walking field trips. I would 100% recommend fire hydrant to anyone with a dog old or young!

We feel so lucky to have found Fire Hydrant Doggy Daycare. From the moment I met Kylie and visited her studio I could tell she loved animals and does this work with joy in her heart. She is reliable, trustworthy and my dog loved spending her days with her and the dog pack. After spending just a few months, doing two days a week with Fire Hydrant Daycare my dog who is 2.5 years old is better on walks, calmer around other dogs and cats and is politer at home! She gets home happy and tired. I wish we had found Kylie sooner!

Kylie and Fire Hydrant Doggie Daycare is AMAZING and I feel so lucky that our lil Henri is in such good hands with her! We were in search of a daycare we felt would be very involved with the dogs, go on walks and help with socialization, Fire Hydrant does just that and more! Kylie works with all of the dogs on training along with multiple other activities during the day, including field trips for exposure! I love that she does pack walks, it has made Henri so much better on our daily walks as well. Kylie is great at communicating throughout the day and is flexible with schedules. She keeps us updated through texts, report cards and my favorite real time instagram posts and stories! I love seeing what they’re doing at daycare! Henri get’s so excited to see the Fire Hydrant car for pickup in the morning and after drop-off he is exhausted for the night! Kylie has created an amazing relationship with not only Henri, but us as well, we feel very much apart of the Fire Hydrant family! I highly recommend their services and am always telling people how great they are!

My dog Clover loves Fire Hydrant Pets. I was looking for someplace nearby and on a smaller scale where my dog could gain some confidence and socialization. It’s been six months and she jumps and gets so excited when she arrives. Kylie is amazing and so personal and patient with the dogs. They do a lot of activities during the day and go on miles long pack walks. By the time Clover is home she’s tired for the whole night!

I cannot say enough good things about Kylie and Fire Hydrant!! My boyfriend and I are new to Chicago and have tried everything, from different dog walkers to daycares, and we never truly felt like our dog was comfortable or enjoyed it. We found Fire Hydrant and can confidently say this is the BEST daycare we've ever put our dog Eddie in! Kylie is the owner of the daycare, and she puts every other dog daycare/pet walking service to shame. Kylie is extremely passionate and intelligent when it comes to caring and training for dogs. Our dog Eddie can be a little nervous around new people and take some time to warm up to people, but he almost immediately felt comfortable with her and the daycare space. He now runs into her car when she picks him up and snuggles with her at daycare! They go on pack walks (multiple miles a day- like what!!!) and she goes above and beyond to enrich the dogs in new environments. Eddie gets to socialize with all different types of dogs in a safe, nurturing environment where he can be himself and play but also feels safe enough to relax and take breaks. Not only do you get to see photos and videos from daycare on instagram all day, but at the end of the day she puts together a "report card" that includes pictures, potty breaks, miles walked, and more! I could keep going on about how much I love this day care but long story short- there is no other day care in Chicago that can rival Fire Hydrant. The pack walks, enrichment, constant photo updates, training, and all around love that Kylie pours into her work, Fire Hydrant will always be our #1 daycare.

First and foremost, I'm a huge supporter of small business. My intention in leaving this review is not to degrade or harm this business. That said, as a dog lover, I could not in good conscious ignore what I witnessed today. As shown in the pictures posted below, an employee from Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting piled 8 medium / large dogs inside a Honda Fit. Setting aside the questionable legality of having that many dogs in a compact car, transporting dogs in this way jeopardizes the safety of the dogs, the driver and others on the road. As a dog owner, I would be very concerned if my pet was transported in this manner. I hope this post encourages Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting to reevaluate the way they transport their animals.

Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting is fantastic! I can’t recommend this dog daycare highly enough. Kylie is so amazing with my Boston Terrier, Tony. After trying out a couple different options that left me unsatisfied with the service and care, I stumbled upon Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting and instantly knew that Kylie would provide amazing care for Tony. What I didn’t know was how much she would exceed my expectations. Kylie is so communicative, flexible, and thorough with the care provided. The training she provides during daycare aligns perfectly with what I do at home and makes things so consistent for Tony. Tony also has some dietary restrictions that Kylie handles with ease and without a single mishap in the 6 months Tony has been going so far. All I need to do in the morning is say the word daycare and Tony rushes to the door and sits next to his leash eagerly waiting to see Kylie and all of the rest of his friends at the daycare facility. It truly has been a wonderful experience all around.

We are so glad we found firehydrant pet sitting! We were preparing for our destination wedding and honeymoon and have never had a professional watch our cat, just neighbors or friends for short trips. From the first consultation, we knew Kylie was going to take such great care of our kitty! She is so sweet and energetic! You can tell instantly that she is a pet lover! We were gone for a week and Kylie stopped by Loki twice a day to feed and play with him. She sent detailed updates and tons of pics. It was so reassuring knowing he was in such great hands! She even vacuumed and cleaned up his placemat / the kitchen counters. Above and beyond! We will most definitely be contacting Kylie next time we need a sitter!

Kylie and Fire Hydrant Doggie Daycare are amazing and my savior. During a challenging time Kylie stepped in with her services to provide amazing care for my fur baby. With pick up service, daily pack walks, constant attention, training, photos and lots of love for my pup! I don’t know what I would do without this place! My pup is happier than ever! I recommend Fire Hydrant a million times over!

I love Urban Tailz! Although my partner and I work from home, my partner has chronic pain issues and I am in tons of meetings throughout the day, so Urban Tailz has really made my life easier. It’s so easy to schedule with them, even when it’s last minute. Taro has a habit of picking up trash on the street, and all of his dog walkers have done a great job of keeping him safe. They are so loving with him - I can tell he has a great time. Also, their adventure walks are my favorite service! It’s so great that they are able to get the dogs out having fun in more natural habitats. I can tell from all the pictures that Taro is truly living his best life on his adventures. He always sleeps for hours after he comes back! And as you can tell, they take amazing photos! Special shout out to Jillian who I think is Taro’s favorite :)

I was super worried about how my antisocial cat, Sprinkles, would fare while I was out of the country for 6 weeks. Urban Tailz went above and beyond! I felt confident Sprinkles was getting exactly what she needed and I adored the updates I received. Sprinkles even made a new friend! Will be using Urban Tailz again in the future and I highly recommend to all my pet owner friends.

I have been using Urban Tailz for a few weeks and they're great. Walkers send photos and updates, my dog loves his walker and communication could not be easier. I recently adopted my pup from a shelter and wanted to give him some consistency, i.e. the same walker every time. I used wag once and tldr it was a disaster (completely their fault, didnt even get to meet my dog), plus my dog is very friendly so my walker is able to allow my dog to socialize on walks, something wag/rover cant do. Urban Tailz has given me absolute piece of mind that my dog is taken care of, absolutely recommend! (Photos from their app attached here)

Great dog walkers and coordinators with such a reasonable price for 30 and 50 min walks! They are a small local business but have a great app and customer service. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a regular dog walker through a local business based in the north side of Chicago!

Urban Tailz is hands down the best dog-walking service I’ve ever used. I cannot sing their praises loudly enough. They’ve been taking care of our sweet Lab mix, Julep Lee, for nearly 4 years—and for most of that time Kyle was her walker, until he moved out of state. The walkers Urban Tailz hires are topnotch, and Julep is always SO excited when her walker shows up to take her out and about. I love that the walkers take pictures during each walk and send us a report with a little story about how the walk went. It’s also easy to reschedule or cancel walks within their app. It can be hard to trust strangers with your dog, but we know that Julep is always in good hands with her Urban Tailz walker—she comes back tired and with a big smile on her face every time. If you’re looking for a reliable, responsive dog walking service and a dedicated walker, you cannot go wrong with Urban Tailz.

Urban Tailz has been so amazing for our dog! We primarily use them for dogsitting, but also sporadic walks - Laura has been our sitter and she’s been an angel. Our dog loves her and we can tell she really cares about him and keeps us constantly updated, spending as much time with him as possible. It’s been amazing to be able to leave town and not stress about my dog’s care and wellbeing. As for the walkers - I was recently in a tough position with a severe flight delay that meant I wouldn’t be able to get home in time to take our dog out. I contacted Urban Tailz and they were able to get a walker over super last minute, which really helped us out. The whole team has been great to work with and they’ve been so understanding about our dog’s unique needs - can’t recommend them enough!

I am over the moon with the service provided by Urban Tailz thus far. Extremely responsive, helpful, and professional! Both Maya (manager) and my dog walker Eli were amazing. Eli is already so great with my sweet doggo. Everything is seamless and smooth, and the entire service is great! I have nothing but great things to say so far - I am pleasantly impressed. I can’t recommend Urban Tailz enough! I use their catsitting service and they always do an incredible job. The app is easy to use, they’re very communicative, and send lots of pictures and detailed updates. One of my cats has asthma and needs an inhaler everyday, and past cat sitters have struggled with this. But Urban Tailz always makes sure she gets her medicine, even once sending multiple people to make sure it was done. That really showed me my cats were in good hands. In particular, I love seeing updates from Laura as I can tell the cats love her and she gives them a lot of attention! I’m very thankful to have such a reliable pet sitter.

We absolutely LOVE Urban Tailz. They are so flexible with our crazy, ever-changing schedule, and they provide excellent services! We especially love our dog walker, Slav, who takes the most wonderful photos and provides detailed updates about every walk with our dog. Urban Tailz has been a wonderful team that has provided consistent walks for our dog. Each time we have interacted with their management to the walkers themselves, they have ALL been the utmost professionals. They have shown so much love to our dog, and always did their best to entice him to walk when it was cold or rainy! We are so grateful to work with Urban Tailz, and can’t recommend them enough.

Wild Hearts - What a wonderful place! Our sweet dog, Hans, had TPLO surgery and we were worried sick about going on a trip we had planned for months and not having a place for him to go that would understand and willingly follow his care plan. We found Wild Hearts and connected with Erin, who put out minds at ease immediately. She was super responsive and hopped on a call with us to talk through their process. Hans stayed for 3 days, 2 nights and we trusted he was being cared for (and might I say even spoiled) by the Wild Care staff. Denise, Jamie, and Erin sent us text updates and pictures, took him for walks outside in the yard, and he even got to hang with some of the other pups. They got him all set up in his own little area and he was settled, safe, and cared for. We're so grateful for the team and Wild Hearts for taking care of our boy!

The team at Wild Hearts is incredibly helpful, compassionate, and approachable. I used their physical therapy services and couldn't be happier with my dog's progress and the support and communication I received along the way. I have a socially difficult dog and Erin's team navigated Francine's preferences beautifully. I can't recommend them enough.

This place is amazing! All staff members are well trained, communicative, and empathetic. When we felt helpless as owners, Wild Hearts came to the rescue. They nursed our puppy back to good health. There are not enough words to show our gratitude!

I recently used Wild Hearts' pet sitting services for a weeklong trip and they did a wonderful job! One of my cats needs seizure medicine three times a day, and Wild Hearts was able to work with her med schedule and come to my home for visits so I didn't have to board her, which I know made a huge difference in her stress levels while I was gone. They were also super kind and accommodating about a last-minute medication addition, which was a huge relief. I got updates and adorable pictures every day. I was so worried to leave my babies for so long, but they were in great hands. I highly recommend Wild Hearts for any pets with special health needs!

Our 15 yo doodle came down with an episode of old dogs vestibular disorder the week before vacation. I called many places, including our vet, hoping to find a place to give him the special attention he would need while we were gone. Short notice, Wild Hearts was able to accommodate us and we felt so relieved. Jake was in good hands and we got updates daily. I have already recommended Wild Hearts to friends and will continue to do so. They are a special place with a very caring staff.

We boarded our senior dog here. She doesn’t get along with other dogs and has other quirks and Wild Hearts took great care of her. They really understand and take the time to get to know your dog.

Erin and her team are incredibly capable, caring and helpful, especially when faced with care for our very sick dog. Excellent communication. Would highly recommend to all
