Jon and Freda are the most kind and caring people we have ever met. Our dogs Sandi and Lucy were treated more special than anyone could imagine. They became a part of their family with lots of attention and tender loving care. Both dogs were spoiled and enjoyed ventures to Tractor Supply, Petsmart and Home Depot and even rides around the local lakes. Lucy received a special new cuddly bed on one trip. Our pups were more than well cared for as was obvious by Jon and Freda’s attention to detail making them feel well loved. They very quickly learned their personalities and were great about communicating with questions or concerns to ensure that the best possible care was given. We received pictures, special moments and regular updates on our fur kids. We came home to a well-maintained house inside and out. We were and are so appreciative to have such a great couple (Jon and Freda) to stay in our house and to take care of our dogs, Sandi and Lucy. We came back to two very calm, relaxed and happy dogs. I know that they missed them when they left since they looked around to find them after they had left. There were also some beautiful flowers left for us when we returned home; so very thoughtful! It is very comforting to know that when you go away that you have such fantastic people watching your house and dogs. We would love to have them come sit at our house sometime in the future. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a perfect house/dog sitter……on a scale of 1 to 10….10 is not a high enough rating. A great big thanks to Jon and Freda for helping us with some flexibility as we were able to be there for our son's college graduation and do all of the necessary things to move him out of his apartment as well as visit some family and friends. We’ve never met an animal we didn't like- and even fewer that didn't like us :)
Tiawna was an amazing guest! My dog Quezo absolutely love her. She was patient with him and really cared for him as if he was her own. He was so sad when she left. 10/10 would recommend!

Thank you Sarah and Jeffery for taking care of nacho for me for a week! Nacho was soooo happy though out the sit and of course when I got back..he gave me that face - saying ‘mommy, I had so much fun with auntie Sarah and uncle Jeff..they took good care of me!”😝 Also, Sarah and Jeffery were good communicators, constantly sending me updates and pics so that I feel at ease while i was away! Truly dog lovers! Highly recommended if you are looking for someone to take care of your pets! ☺️

Andrea and I started out with a great video conversation and I knew she would be a solid housesitter and give Osity cat lots of attention. I was certainly not let down! Andrea showed up on time, was attentive to the details of my house and pet needs and my cat took to her arrival and touch quickly. Andrea was in touch daily with some sweet updates and photos and also water some garden area for me where I had recently planted. The house was clean and sheets washed. No issues whatsoever and Ostiy cat and I would def welcome Andrea back another time!

Callie is THEE ABSOLUTE BEST sitter we’ve ever had! She has sat for us twice and we hope she will sit for us again in the future! Our dogs and cat absolutely adore her. She walked the pups twice a day, sent lots of photos, and was super easy to communicate with. I would 1,000% recommend Callie as a sitter for your fur kids

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.
Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
Bard and Kim are amazing house sitters and pet care givers. I would recommend them over and over. I wish I could add numbers to the scale. They would get a 10+. Bard and Kim were super easy to work with, efficient, self-sufficient, and considerate. They took immaculate care of my home; it was definitely cleaner after they left! I would recommend them without hesitation over and over.
We had the pleasure of having Tara as our house sitter while we were away, and we can't praise her enough for the fantastic job she did. Not only did she take excellent care of our home, but she also showed tremendous love and attention to our beloved dogs. From the moment Tara walked through the door, we could tell she had a genuine passion for animals. She immediately bonded with our dogs, and they seemed completely at ease with her. Throughout our trip, she provided us with regular updates and photos, which truly put our minds at ease knowing our boys were in great hands. Tara took great care of our home as well. It was evident that she respected our space and coming back home, we found everything just as we left it, if not even better! We highly recommend Tara to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring house sitter. Her communication was excellent, and she proved herself to be a responsible and dedicated individual. If you want to ensure your pets and home are in the best hands while you're away, Tara is the perfect choice. Thank you, Tara, for taking such incredible care of our dogs and home. You made our trip stress-free, and we're truly grateful.
Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
What an amazing couple we had as pet sitters for our two dogs! You can truly feel their love for animals. Nancy sent pictures a couple of times letting us know that they were having fun also with our Cody and Carson! Our home was perfect when we got home. They even left a beautiful potted flower and card on our island in our kitchen. We highly recommend this couple! Jim & Wanda

This was my first experience dropping my dog off to ruff house (va beach) for Labor Day weekend because we were going out of town. I picked this facility based on the great reviews. I didn’t tour the facility with my husband b/c front desk staff stated there was a certain time that we would have to come in and we had to work. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary upon dropping her off. We did elect for play time for one day which was an upcharge. We never received pictures or updates regarding my dog. However we called Saturday and was told everything was going well and that she’s wagging her tail. She seemed happy she just wasn’t eating a lot. On Sunday we picked her up and she was panting like she was hot or didn’t have water. She looked a sweaty mess. I thought let me take her home in bathe her she might be overly tired. She slept all day Monday like she was depressed. As an update I called to speak to the manager Tuesday. The manager never came to the phone only relaying messages to the front desk staff that Asa wasn’t outside Sunday and they’re not sure why she was sweaty and panting. She seemed fine on Saturday when she was playing. Also I asked about room temp in the kennel and they stated it was 72 degrees which is a little in the warm side in my opinion. I will not be bringing my dog back. Unprofessional that the manager didn’t want to listen to my concerns.
Thank you all so much for taking care of our boy Milo. I was nervous at first leaving him for the first time since we've had him but with the staff taking pics of him everyday (I made sure to check lol) gave me and my family a warm fuzzy that he was being taking care of. I like the little report afterwards thats lets me know how he did as well. I look forward to bring him back for a future doggy daycare session to get accustomed to other pups. Thanks again!
The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and inviting. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted Sadie with genuine warmth and care, making her feel right at home. Their attention to detail and personalized approach made the entire experience exceptional. It was clear they prioritize customer satisfaction and go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels comfortable and valued.
We’ve been coming here for over 3 years. We’ve boarded our senior dogs with special needs, our super shy, skittish dogs, and our super active pups. All of them come back super happy and healthy. Staff is very helpful treat the pups with such love!
We boarded our two guinea pigs and we were so pleased with how clean their cage was when we picked them up. Their hay bag was full and there was food in their bowl so we know they were well taken care of. I also appreciated them being in a quiet area. We will definitely be back! We have boarded at another kennel previously and the difference is night and day. We highly recommend The Ruff House for your small animal boarding needs.
I was really worried about taking my dog to boarding/daycare for the first time but ruff house was nothing but helpful, accommodating, and kind. They were very quick & helpful when responding to all of my questions throughout the “onboarding process” & during my dogs stay! He tested into daycare and I’m so excited to see him grow and be properly socialized with other dogs in a controlled, safe environment. When I first received pictures of my dog playing with others, my heart melted. Thank you ruff house!!
It was my first time ever leaving my fur babies at a doggy boarding facility. The atmosphere is very clean. The staff is very nice and relaxed. They treated my babies really well and made sure that I knew they did well while I was gone. They’re very alert when it comes to their boarders and I love that. Will definitely be using them again in the future.
We had a wonderful grooming experience with Judy! Our pup came home happy, healthy and looking so handsome! We would highly recommend the Ruff House for their grooming services!!
Boarded our pup for the first time and we are so happy we picked Ruff House. The pictures taken during his stay shows how much he enjoyed it. They took such good care of him! We will definitely use them again for both boarding and grooming services.
I really wanted to love this place. I’ve taken my dog here twice. The first experience seemed great.. he was super tuckered out, and they took a ton of photos. Based on that, I decided to bring him back. This time, things were different. I didn’t really get much with the photos which I'm not too worried about, but he came home with an unusual amount of energy and INSANELY thirsty. He sprinted to his water bowl and i had to refill it twice.. which confused me. He’s not the kind of dog that requires constant stimulation to relax, so it felt odd. I had also requested a full groom for him, but when I picked him up, he didn’t smell fresh, which made me question if he even received a bath. At first, I let it go, but only a week later and he's showing signs that his anal glands are full. Now I’m wondering if I was charged for services that weren’t provided. To make matters worse, he has kennel cough. I don’t understand how dogs get sick in facilities that require updated vaccines. He’s never been sick before, and I feel awful for him.
If you’re looking for a doggy day care, stop searching, you found the one! If I could give 10 stars I would. This was my first time ever dropping off my husky Koda (5 years old) to anyone’s house other than family. I was nervous and I knew he would be to. Tamara and her husband reassured me and did everything they could to make Koda and I comfortable. She sent me real time updates and photos of what he was doing. She let me know how he was doing in the day and at night. His first night was rough being there without anyone he knows, but they kept him company and by night two he was comfortable and felt at home. When I picked him up I could tell he did not want to leave! I will for sure be bringing Koda back here in the future. Thank you Dappy Dayz Dogs!
Excellent customer service! Tammy and her family always take care of my puppy. Highly recommend. He always jumps up and down as soon as I say let's go to daycare. He runs out the car excited to see his friends. 😃 …
First time leaving my girl Dixie with someone other than family. We went on a trip with family so that wasn’t an option so I reached out to Tammy at Dappy Dayz & I couldn’t be anymore pleased! My girl had the best time ever and I enjoyed receiving pictures seeing how happy Dixie was! Definitely recommend and will use her in the future! Thanks again Tammy!
Tamara & Dappy Dayz was an absolute blessing & life savor! She was understanding of my situation & was willing to take my boy, Jax, on such short notice for a few days. I felt a peace leaving him at Dappy Dayz & would highly recommend this place for all your fur babies!
When we moved to Virginia Beach, we tried a couple of popular kennels in the area for our geriatric pup and our kitty, and we had issues at both. Then I found Tami, and I'm so grateful we did! Tami and her family take care of our pets like they're their own. Tami is great about sending photos and updates, and is so patient with our geriatric Corgi. I wouldn't feel safe leaving them with anyone else! Thank you Tami and T!
I was very nervous about sending my fur-babies to daycare especially since one is a pandemic pup and not fully social. When I dropped them off I felt so comfortable (I normally cry). Tammy explained how she would slowly introduce the other pups to mine so they won’t be overwhelmed. I’ve noticed so much improvement in my pandemic pup now that he is going to Dappy Days. Very patient and loving provider!
Tammy and Tee have been the absolute best this year. I moved here not knowing anyone and needed to quickly find somewhere I could trust to watch my dog, Hank. The first time I dropped him off he was nervous, but that was also the last time. Every time I dropped him off for a weekend he couldn’t wait to get out of the car to play, which made me feel really reassured that he was still happy and safe when I was away. Tammy and Tee were also always extremely accommodating to my schedule and flexible when I needed to change something last minute. They also sent me pictures of Hank every time I was away, which I loved and made me feel better. I am so grateful for their help and for treating Hank like their own. I wish I weren’t moving so I could keep going to them; Hank will definitely miss it there! I would undoubtedly recommend Dappy Dayz to anyone!
Tami and her family are incredibly wonderful caregivers. They make my dog feel like she is a part of their family. I loved the photo updates she sent to put my mind at ease during her first long-term stay with them (5 days). My dog also really enjoyed their doggie daycare! Tami really knows dogs and their behaviors - the dogs are watched and safe. My dog came home happy to see me, but equally comfortable in Dappy Dayz care. I feel so fortunate to have found such a great place for my dog to go for both long-term stays and daily doggie daycare.
Tammy and her family has taken such great care of my dog. I appreciate the schedule set up in place for the dogs, such as activities, nap time, lunch/dinner/snacks, and recess! The at-home environment is exceptional and has been a great place for my dog to receive care. He used to go to a kennel set up, but the setting was not an ideal place for him because there was no structure, the animals ran loose, and the staff were unprofessional and unskilled; basically setting my dog up for failure. Dappy Dogz is the total opposite! My family and I truly appreciate their dedication and attention in taking care of the pets. Thank you!! ☺️
We used Dappy Dayz on a regular for over night stays. Having a 24 hour shift, it’s hard to find someone reliable to watch your animals at a decent price. Having our paths cross a couple years ago, I was able to reach out to Tammy on a personal level to inquire of her up and coming business. Her and her family took our pup in with open arms, allowing him to socialize with other dogs, maintaining his feeding routine and sleep schedule. We actually felt guilty taking him home because he clearly was having a blast with his friends. She was flexible with our rotating schedule, accommodating for weekends and last minute day trips. We will forever sing their praises and we look forward to watching their business grow.
I can’t say enough great things about Obedient Paws and Adam. Our dog had basic training as a puppy, but over the years (he’s now 4), he became increasingly anxious, reactive, and aggressive towards other dogs and strangers. It reached a point where we feared he might bite someone, forcing us to consider rehoming him. The situation caused us a great deal of anxiety, especially when having contractors in our home or encountering other dogs, and we had a couple of close calls. After extensive research, we chose Obedient Paws for several reasons: 1. Adam’s Expertise: From our first conversation, it was evident that Adam understood our struggles and could help us and our dog. We also needed training, and Adam was prepared to guide us through the process. 2. Top-notch Facilities: I’ve never seen a boarding facility as clean as Obedient Paws. They maintain impeccable hygiene, cleaning up immediately if a dog uses the restroom. The place doesn’t smell or feel like a typical boarding facility; you only know dogs are there because of the crates, leashes, and collars. 3. 4-Week Bootcamp: We knew our dog needed to be fully immersed in his training, and the bootcamp was perfect for that. Although it was hard to drop him off, we knew this was best for him, given his attachment to us. 4. Involvement in the Process: Adam kept us deeply involved. We worked with our dog, Jif, and Adam daily, receiving constant updates and photos. We even did off-site training together at local beaches and parks. I am forever grateful to Adam and his team. This is a lifelong journey, and Adam created a strong foundation for us to build on. We’ve learned to be better dog owners, establish boundaries, and keep our dog and others safe. We now enjoy walks without pulling or aggressive behavior towards others, and our dog enjoys off-leash time in the yard or at the beach. Our dog is living a fuller, healthier life thanks to the training at Obedient Paws. Highly recommend!
Bottom line up front: I brought my dog Lele in to train with Adam and his team for a 4-week boot camp, and it was by far the most important investment I’ve made in my dog ever. The transformation I saw over the month was remarkable, and the training has stuck like glue since being home. I’d 100% recommend bringing your dog that needs training in to Obedient Paws. Our experience: I’ve had my dog Lele for about 8 months when I brought her in for the boot camp, and she was just over 1 year old at the time. She had some prior training and “knew” the basic commands, but she was far from reliable and had total impulse control issues. No real aggression, but she’s a high energy pup and would excitedly jump up on people, barge through doors, lunge towards dogs to play, chase after squirrels… she had very little sense of boundaries or rules. I saw immediate improvements in her obedience over the first week of training. She was listening to “leave it” when treats fell on the ground, she was jumping up on me, she’d sit the first time I told her to, etc. She was happy as a clam to be able to hang out with dogs all day, and she would always happily run up to the trainers with her tail wagging. While the new environment was stressful (new people, new place, new dogs, AND RULES), she got used to the rhythm of training and the e-collar over time. By week 3 she was a new dog, and I felt she was trained well enough to take her home at that point. I’m so glad I let her ride it out through the 4th week, because that gave her enough opportunity to really solidify her off leash recall and test her in public settings. One thing I found incredibly awesome was how often I got to see her and train. Adam encouraged showing up a minimum twice per week, but I’d come over as much as my work schedule allowed. This helped in a few ways: 1) I missed my pup, so I just wanted to see her. 2) I got very comfortable with the training techniques, and Lele got comfortable with me being on that same page. I’ve had her home for a few weeks now, and it’s been nothing but a pleasure. She actually LISTENS! Now that she reliably listens, I’m able to trust her with more freedom and she’s happier than ever. Ultimately she’s still a teen pup, so the training hasn’t stopped, and we’re still working on refining little things. The difference is I’m equipped and prepared to work with her on my own because she has such an awesome baseline. Thank you Adam for taking great care of Lele! I know where I’ll be bringing her if I need to drop her off for daycare or otherwise.
After the loss of one of my dogs and several moves across the country, my German Shepherd, Finley, started showing some random bouts of dog aggression that I wanted to get a handle on ASAP. Adam was instrumental in this process and allowed for me and Finley to build a new relationship in which he listens and trusts my word more than ever before, ultimately making him a more trustworthy dog and more comfortable when we are out and about. I highly recommend Adam to anyone dealing with behavioral issues with their dogs. He will take it seriously and it is obvious that he is very passionate and knowledgeable in his field.
First I would like to thank the entire staff at Obedient Paws for taking wonderful care of my pup. Adam and his team did a great job training our boy Midas. They did an even better job training my wife and I. It's a very worthy investment to have a well behaved dog. Consider doing a consult so you can see what he can do in a short amount of time.
Our dog Scout is a Coonhound-Black Lab mix that we adopted from a shelter and has always been quite the escape artist. He has found the flaw in every fence and the weak link on any leash. He would never come when called, even inside our own house. After countless runaways and embarrassments, we decided to send him to Obedient Paws for recall training specifically. The workers there were very kind, knowledgeable, and listened to our needs. We came to as many training days as we could to make sure we were learning the most for our own benefit. Over the weeks of training, I watched Scout turn into a different dog. I really thought he would never change and that’s just who he is as a hound dog with a high prey drive. But Obedient Paws completely proved me wrong. Walking him is so pleasant now and we continue our recall training in the yard. He listens so well and is always looking to us for direction/permission. It’s like he knows he is safe now and doesn’t have to lunge at cars or howl at other dogs. We even used the training we have learned on our younger puppy and she is also changing into a better pup! We are so thankful for the trainers who not only trained our dog, but loved him throughout the process. Thank you again!
Night and day! We brought Buster in for boarding training after two dog fights. He was stubborn and did as he pleased. He would ignore commands; guard the property, bed, treats, us; many dominance issues. He is so different now!!! He listens and respects my space. I am more firm with him and don’t treat him as a fragile puppy, so he doesn’t feel the need to walk over me. Adam and his team are great! Daycare is also a breeze!
BOTTOM LINE: Do it! Adam’s training was the most important thing I could have done for my dog. I adopted a seven year old German Shepherd from a shelter only to find out that he could be aggressive and reactive toward other dogs. He behaved in the house, but walks were a nightmare. I was on the fence about training due to the cost, but once I did the intro session with Adam, I was sold. The price is incredibly reasonable, especially compared to the research I did about other trainers around the area. I sent Zeus for a two week board and train, and got to attend four or five in person sessions. I would recommend four weeks, but even two weeks was enough to see a drastic change. The first session, I was shocked to see Zeus running around with other dogs without a problem. Since he’s been home, we’ve been able to meet other dogs without problems. Adam’s got experience with reactive dogs and working breeds, and I’ll definitely be back for more training and/or boarding.
We can't say enough great things about Adam with Obedient Paws. We knew our girls were in excellent care and getting the best possible training. We have two (8 month old) standard poodle sisters from the same litter, which can be tricky to train. I am blown away by the progress Adam made! They are amazing on the leash now, not pulling us down. 'Leave it' is a huge command in our house & they know exactly what it means. Overall, their house manners have dramatically improved as well. Adam was very good at communicating with us and kept in touch with us during the poodles' training, even after we picked them up. He is very knowledgeable & this program works!
Our dog Chester went to the board and train for a total of 5 weeks. We were at our last option because Chester was starting to become aggressive towards me around my girlfriend and resource guard her including biting me on the arm. My trust in him was at an all time low and felt I couldn't let my guard down around him. We were too the point of rehoming talks. He is a 4-5 year old rescue pit that is very stubborn and hard headed, he listens out of compliance and not to please his owners. High anxiety that needed boundaries and ability to listen to command. Adam worked with Chester on leash control , recall and the leave it command. He helped teach us as owners how to better control Chester and ultimately lead him to success. All the trainers there showed Chester losts of love especially Patrick and worked with him extensively training him. He's still a work in progress and will forever be but he made giant leaps at Obedient Paws as well as us as owners. I continue to work with Chester daily. Walking with Chester now is a breeze as he doesn't pull anymore and will recall off leash if he escapes. And he has yet to show me any agression as I think he now understands who's his leader. And my trust in his is all time high and continuing to grow along with our relationship . Thanks Obedient Paws.
We were desperate. Echo, our 1 year old hound mix adopted from a shelter, had many issues. We are his 3rd home; he had separation anxiety, was nonstop pulling on the leash, knew commands but would not obey, stubborn, pushy & bratty. A weekly training class close to home didn’t really help. It was not working out, and mom, the primary caretaker, was not happy. We were getting close to returning him, but our kids loved him. ObedientPaws 4 week Boot Camp was a choice we are glad we made! Oh boy, who knew what a love this little guy could be! His anxiety is way down and he is much more comfortable in his own skin. Walking him is now pleasant. He immediately responds to commands, no more thinking about it & then declining the invitation. Adam and his team spent a lot of time training not just Echo but also us (especially dad). They encouraged coming to training sessions as often as possible, did one on one with us, and provided helpful insights. This process is as much parent training as puppy training and they do a great job. Training doesn’t stop on graduation from Boot Camp and Adam contacted us the next day to see how it was going and offer advice. We aren’t the type to comment online but Adam and his team deserve recognition. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for returning our household to peace & happiness!
Dogtopia is the dog sitter away from home. They really care about my Brooklyn and all the other pups and dogs. They know the dogs by name and show an authentic concern about their well being. My fur baby is a bit spoiled with eating nuke warmed food and they accommodate my madness lol. The employees are beyond phenomenal and they listen to your concerns. They genuinely love dogs and you can see and feel it. I haven't boarded Brooklyn yet but I feel 110% assured that she would be ok when I decide to do so. Initially I used to watch the Webcam all day, now I may miss some days. I am an overprotective fur mama and I trust Dogtopia and give them my utmost respect.
Daisy Mae attended Dogtopia Towncenter as a puppy, and has recently returned. She looks forward to her days there and gets so excited when we turn down the road heading towards Town Center. She jumps out of the car and is always so excited to go in and greet both her human and dog friends. Dogtopia helped her to build self confidence, and learn appropriate social skills from other well behaved pups. I appreciate that they always keep me up to date on how she is doing. She enjoys all the activities and I love the crafts she comes home with. As a nervous pet parent, I also appreciate that I can check the cameras during the day to see how interactions are going. We are very happy customers at Dogtopia.
Staff are fabulous! When we want out little demons watched so we can have a parent day out, perfect for us! The staff are great and communication is fabulous, love this place and grateful for them. :)
If I could give them -100 stars I would. Months ago we watched our 6 month old Frenchie get drug around by other dogs so we stopped going. Last week we took him back cause they are close and convenient big mistake. We watched the camera as our 10 month old frenchy got drug around by his neck multiple times by a bigger Boston as the “dog sitter” did nothing. When we went in and told them the Boston was being aggressive they just said they would try to keep them apart on 15 min intervals. That night we found open cuts and bite marks on his neck behind his ears. HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this place!
I had a pet sitter cancel the morning of my visit to VA beach. Unfortunately I already had activities planned that were not pet accommodating (hence the sitter) so I called Dogtopia in a mild panic asking if my dog could be fit in same day. She goes to daycare elsewhere regularly so they were kind enough to schedule the evaluation that morning and took great care of her all day. I picked up a happy pup. 15/10 customer service. She even left with a cute report card. Will definitely return if I need to take my dog to daycare again!
Was in town for a vacation and was in a pinch due to staying at a “pet friendly” hotel that had an unposted pet policy that I cannot leave the pet unattended in the room even in his crate. I’ve traveled with pets in the past. Never had an issue like this. I called to get my 11 month old pup in for daycare. They graciously fit us in for an evaluation. Our pup is very timid and nervous. Unfortunately he did not pass the evaluation but we were given advice on things to do for future. I wish things could have worked out but it’s great that they do take the time to vet the animals to make sure all will be ok. I would not hesitate to leave my pet at this facility. They really care about the animals.
Had an excellent time there just these past few weeks. Was in town to help my cousin move into the area, and I couldn't leave my pup at home due to separation anxiety. I liked having access to the webcam and being able to see that any time day camp was going on, there was a person in the room to supervise. He was a bit clingy with the room teacher, but they treated him wonderfully (I felt so bad, he barked so much but they didn't seem to mind!!). I saved a clip of him playing with a cute lab puppy and shared it with my family during dinner, we all got a good laugh out of it. Will be coming back next spring when I visit my family again and bringing my pup Rand with me.
A great place to leave your dog while you're away or at work. My dog is usually very nervous about new places, but he was welcomed so warmly, and looks forward to his trips here. It's RIGHT next to a free parking garage, which is incredibly convenient for drop offs and pick ups. The staff are very kind, and seem to love what they do.
Great place for my pointer to get his energy out, he's wild at home. I also really like the small snacks they offer- sometimes he can't have them and that's okay since it's not required to purchase. I can bring his own food too with no lunch charge.
I would not recommend this dog daycare to anyone. My dog was going here for the past month, twice a week, and the communication and ethics here are awful. Every time I picked my dog up, they told me they had no problems with him and that he was doing fine. I received no negative feedback about his behavior not once and he was greeted warmly every time I dropped him off. When I picked my dog up last week, I was told as of that same day, my dog cannot come back for 2-3 months due to behavioral issues. The young lady who explained this to me was very vague and did not tell me any specific reasons or incidences that occurred that made them come to this decision. They claimed that my dog had been "nipping at other dogs" but couldn't elaborate on what actually occurred or when/how long. This is coming from a dog who's never shown aggression in his entire life, and coincidentally returns from daycare sporting mysterious new scratches and marks each visit. Here's the kicker: they promised a manager would contact me and explain further, but 5 days later I still haven't heard anything. I even called back the next day, desperate for any kind of justification, but received nothing. They basically tossed my dog out without a care in the world, leaving me completely in the dark. This lack of communication and transparency is appalling. If you're looking for a reliable, safe place for your furry friend, look elsewhere. Oh, and don't forget to hold your breath as you pass by this place– the stench of urine permeates not just the facility, but the entire parking garage next to it. Your dog will also smell strongly of urine after each visit because apparently they aren't cleaning their facility thoroughly enough. Don't waste your time or risk your dog's safety at this horrendous daycare. There are far better, more professional places out there that actually care about the animals they're supposed to be looking after.
My pup absolutely loves going to see her friends at Bark. Everyone is always so welcoming and happy to see her. She sits by my car in the morning waiting to go to doggy daycare at Bark. She comes home happy and exhausted. As a busy family with an energetic puppy, we are so grateful to have such a fantastic place for her to go play while we work. You can really tell the staff are all animal people.
The BEST doggie daycare/boarding facility I’ve ever taken my two rescue dogs to! The entire staff at Bark are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Love that I’m able to drop off my two dogs for daycare and have them bathed while they’re there as well! Such a great business in all aspects.
Carter loves this place! After a bad experience at another facility I was worried to try again, but SO glad we did!!! The girl who did his temperment test was so kind to him and made it the best experience for him! It is so great to see how happy he is when he knows he is going to see all his friends for the day! I have peace of mind knowing he is safe and having a blast! He always comes home sooo exhausted, but wagging his tail! I cannot say enough good things about this place and the wonderful people who work here!
Sansa loves her doggie buddies there. She comes home happy and tired. The team there is always interacting with the dogs. Also every night around 10 you can go on thier Facebook page and see lots of photos from that day. Always fun to see what your pup is up to. Update. Sansa is staying overnight. Love that pups stay in a cabana not a crate. Her BF is staying too. Bark let's them stay together so they won't stress out. Still the Best at Bark!!
I’ve always been paranoid boarding my babies, but I like the socialization aspect and when I do need to leave town without him I’d like to know my boy is safe and comfortable somewhere. I found that with Bark. Recently I had to go out of town to a wedding. Took him to Bark for the night, he always gets excited to arrive and greet his friends (both people type and furry.) So we arrived and he went back to play with the other pups. The handlers called me in the morning to let me know that my boy was not feeling good, he was acting irregularly, barely eating or drinking. Since the onsite vet wasn’t in that day they told me they could make an appointment for him later on that I could take him to, and that’s what we did. About a half an hour later I got a call from one of the owners who told me that my boy couldn’t wait so she called the vet and took him to be seen right away. I was about an hour drive away and I was on my way. The owner not only took him to the vet but was still waiting there when I got there. I was so pleased to know that Bark cared enough about my boy to make the moves that very well could have, and probably did save my boys life. I will forever be thankful to Bark and the staff for not leaving my boys side. He’s my baby and I felt terrible not being with him when he didn’t feel good, but Bark had my back, they showed him love. My pup ended up at the pet hospital getting emergency surgery and is now home fully recovered! Bark VB has a customer for as long as I’m in the area, I’ll always recommend them as well! Thank you!
My dog and I were happy with the service. The employees were friendly and helpful. And the facility was well decorated, spacious and inviting. And I met this beautiful French Bulldog with the most stunning eyes and coat. Oh Lala 😊 #757BrightChoiceRealEstate …
The staff at BARK is incredible! They are so caring and very observant. We trust them for boarding our 2 dogs every time we are out of town :) Thank you for taking such great care of our sweet pups!
The staff at Bark VB is INCREDIBLE to say the least. This post is long overdue - we initially brought our dog in for a meet and greet for boarding as the need for boarding came up quickly due to emergency. After the meet and greet went so well, we decided to bring our dog in for daycare - he goes every day because he loves it so much. He whines and begs to see his friends, staff and pups alike, every day. We are so grateful to be able to have a safe and fun place to board him when we need to travel. It’s been a great place to have him socialized - we’ve also started to have his grooming needs tended to here because he is so comfortable with the staff (our dog is skiddish about baths and nail trims). We always get comments about how well-socialized with people and other dogs our dog is and we know a lot is due to how careful and highly trained the professionals at Bark are to manage interactions. They call us with any concerns right away and are always on top of it when they notice anything off about our dog (ie fabric in his poop from eating toys at home). Our dog is one of kids and we are so incredibly grateful to have been recommended to the care at Bark VB. Thank you Mary, Jerilyn, and all the staff at VB for looking after our dogs so well and not only giving us peace of mind, but making it fun for our puppy day in and day out.
I’ve only come here for self-service dog bathing and private gym. Every experience has been amazing! My dog and I have so much fun here! He absolutely loves getting to run through their agility equipment with me in their gym. It’s excellent stimulation for him as well. We will continue to use their services as long as we’re in the area!
Our pup Pretzel absolutely LOVES doggie daycare here! When we tell him he’s going to “bark,” he immediately perks up and starts to zoom around until he’s in the car! The staff is so friendly and always welcoming! I highly recommend this place for doggie daycare!!!!
I have had cats for over 20 years and have had a number of care providers. Stephanie and Nikki surpass them all! They are very responsive to communication and they stay in touch daily while I'm out of town. They take care of every detail. Above all, they have proven to be reliable. I've had sitters not show up at all, so I can't say how grateful I am to have found these wonderful women. Highly, HIGHLY recommend their services!!
Stephanie and Nikki are wonderful. They are always timely and responsive, and have been very flexible when I wanted to increase my cat’s visits while I was away. The report cards I get while I’m away are very detailed and make me feel comforted knowing my cat is being cared for by a trusting sitter. Definitely recommend!
I have been using Paws & Claws for the past year and I couldn't be happier! I usually have Nikki and Stephanie come by 3 times a day when we are out of town for our dog. My dog is a bit skiddish and very defensive at first. But she has really taken to them and enjoys their company! Every walk is documented and an email after each walk summarizing the trip and day is always great when your'e away from your pet. I never worry. That's the best thing! I would highly recommend them!
We started using Paws and Claws about a year and a half ago, and LOVE them so much! Stephanie is the absolute best pet carer we have ever had and goes well over above and beyond just taking care of our rabbits! She always felt comfortable giving our little Moonshine her medication at every visit (which is usually a new thing for most pet carers we have experienced) and both of our bunnies always seem happy whenever we come back!
Stephanie is an incredibly trustworthy and responsible pet sitter. She has cared for our many cats on a couple of separate occasions. She administered meds, kept the boxes clean and the kitties well cared for. She gave us an report/update each visit complete with pictures. I just did not have to worry at all with our cats in her care. I give the highest of recommendations. She is awesome.
Sara and Stephanie are hands down the best. I was so nervous having unknown people walk my dogs at first, but after meeting with them I instantly felt better and they are so professional and knowledgeable. I have a slightly reactive dog and they did wonderful with her and gave her a chance. I could not recommend enough. Plus they send report cards on how they did with plenty of photos!
I am extremely satisfied with Paws and Claws. Their service is like no other. They love our Pups as if they were theirs. We love seeing the updates of how our pups are doing with each visit. Signed and Extra Satisfied Client!!!!
I have had such a great experience using them for my pup. She is very reliable and super flexible when it comes to caring for my pup. She was able to change my schedule with little warning when I needed extra help when my dog was sick and even took her to the vet for me! My dog loves them and she always sends cute photos to brighten up my day at work! Couldn’t Recommend enough! I tell all my friends who need sitters if their services!
Stephanie and Sara are the best! They take great care walking my dogs and caring for them when I am out of town ( and my parrot as well!). They are very accommodating and have helped me out last minute when I had an emergency. Highly recommend them to care for your babies!
Stephanie has been a wonderful pet sitter for us she will do you right! My pups love her and she has never let me down! She communicates and makes sure you know daily what your rascals are up to! If you need a sitter she is a very good one!
Claudia is amazing! She has been so kind to work around my unpredictable work schedule for daycare and boarding when I'm out of town for work. My 1 year old corgi, Daisy, absolutely LOVES going to Claudia's and playing on her backyard toys! I always get photos and videos on how Daisy's days are going, which I love because then I know Daisy is happy and well cared for the entire time (see attached photos). Claudia has also been very helpful in improving Daisy's training and very open to implementing the techniques I use at home. Claudia is a blessing to Daisy and I! I would 100% recommend her to anyone else in the area looking for a place to board, or drop their doggies off for daycare.
Claudia is incredible! We couldn't be happier with our dog-sitting experience with her! From the moment she met our dog Murphy, it was clear she has a natural gift with pups. She immediately connected with him, which made him feel at ease right away. Every day of the three months she cared for Murphy, he came home exhausted from a full day of play, socializing, and receiving lots of love and attention. The obstacle course play/training and fetch were particular highlights. He really had a maxed out fun day every day there. Claudia was also incredibly accommodating with a few schedule adjustments that popped up, which made things so much easier for us. Murphy was in great hands—and it showed! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Claudia. We travel a lot and she is by far the best dog care pro we’ve come across. Thank you, Claudia, for giving us peace of mind and making sure Murphy had the best time while we were in Norfolk!
Claudia is a true dog lover, kind person, and all around caring guardian of fur babies. I do not worry at all when I leave my dogs with her days or sometimes weeks. She sends me photos and frequent updates on how they’re doing. My dogs are lap dogs and love the attention from her kids. They walk right inside when I drop them off, like they’re happy to be there. Highly recommend her as a boarding option!
Claudia is amazing with our pup! When we drop her off, she doesn’t look back because she is so excited to spend time there!! Our dog has dietary restrictions and Claudia is ALWAYS able to accommodate!!! I get lots of updates but honestly I don’t have anything to worry about, my dog is in great hands!! I am so happy I came across her daycare! I will only use her for boarding our pup!
I cant recommend Claudia enough! She is incredibly flexible and you can tell that she really loves what she does. She communicates wonderfully and sends pictures while your pet is with her and I can tell that my pup had a great time during both stays. It’s a gift when you don’t have to worry about your pet while you’re gone and that is absolutely the case with Claudia!
My dog loves going to Claudia’s, he wags his tail and pulls to get in her house every time! Claudia takes care of him as if he was one of her own. It’s comforting to know that my dog is in a loving home getting lots of attention, instead of sitting in a crate all day like most boarding places. Claudia also sends pictures and updates while your dog is there to put your mind even more at ease. I would never want to board my dog anywhere else!
We always take our dogs with us but feel so fortunate to have found Claudia to care for our 2 Dobermans and golden retriever. She’s beyond amazing - very experienced, conscientious, always keeping us up to date on how the dogs are doing. They just love her - get great exercise, playtime and are well taken care of. We would highly recommend her! She deserves 10++stars!!
Claudia was amazing with my two small dogs. They enjoyed being at her house. Claudia was very easy to work with for over 2 1/2 years that we lived in the area. I always knew my dogs were being well taken care of with her.
Claudia is amazing & our pups love staying with her! She has a fenced-in backyard and always sends us photos of our dogs having a great time - she makes an effort to ensure they still get the love and attention away from home. Claudia is always very reliable & makes us feel at ease when we go out of town and can’t take our pups with us. I wouldn’t know what to do without her!
Claudia loves, cares and engages with every dog as if they were her own. Our pup quivers with excitement when he sees Claudia’s house! We have nothing but praise for her skills and not a worry when he is with her.
Our pup has been a member of Little Dog Adventures since 2021! Kelly is the absolute best with dogs and there's no one I trust more than her with our own. She is extremely professional, easy to communicate with, and flexible. Her facilities are immaculate and she works diligently to make sure everything is cleaned regularly and that the dogs remain illness-free. She also provides picture and video updates daily. If you are lucky to get into Kelly's pack you won't be disappointed!
Kelly has been an absolute lifesaver when it comes to taking care of my small dogs! From the days she used to walk and watch them, I’ve always been impressed by how well she understands their unique needs. Her gentle, caring nature instantly made my pups feel at ease, and her attention to detail was unmatched. Now that she’s running her own doggy daycare, I’m thrilled to see her bring the same level of care and dedication to her business. My small dogs need extra attention, and Kelly goes above and beyond to make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and happy. Whether it’s playtime or cuddle time, she knows exactly how to keep them engaged and feeling loved. I can’t recommend her enough for anyone with small dogs looking for a trustworthy, compassionate caretaker.
Kelly treats our dog like he’s her own and we are incredibly fortunate to have her caring for him during the week. Our dog loves Little Dog Adventures so much that he eagerly awaits Kelly’s arrival each morning. Having her pick up and drop him off every day is so convenient, and we always have peace of mind when we travel that our pup will have a great time staying with Kelly. 100% would recommend!
Little Dog Adventures and Kelly have been the absolute best for the past 2 years. Piper loves going to "school" and loves all of her friends. She even has a BFF. We hate to move and leave Kelly. She really does treat my little one like her very own. And the pick-up service is the best. I never worry about my little one.
Kelly at Little Dog Adventures is awesome. She cares for these dogs as if they are her own. I never have to worry about my dog when she is at Little Dog Adventures. Having this doggie day camp in the shore drive area has been so great to have. Georgia always knows what day "school" and is always excited to see Kelly and all her friends. I cannot say enough great things about Little Dog Adventures. Your dog will thank you for sending them there.
Our little pups Buji and Winnie love Little Dog Adventures! They have so much fun at "school" and we appreciate the extra love and care that Kelly gives to them. Kelly cares about the girls as if they were her own. We also love that if we travel, the girls can spend the night at an environment where they feel comfortable and we know that they will be taken care of as if they were spending the night with a relative. Highly recommend Little Dog Adventures!
We cannot speak highly enough of Kelly and Little Dog Adventures. She's a natural dog person and really does take care of your pup like she does her own. She's so easy to work with and makes dog care a breeze! Knowing that Teddy is happily playing with other dogs in a safe and caring environment makes it so much easier to leave him for workdays or vacations. If you need a few days of daycare, boarding, or anything in between, Little Dog Adventures is the place to go, and you can't beat the price!
Kelly, the owner of little dog adventures is amazing with our two dogs. We don’t have to worry about them when they’re with her and they thoroughly enjoy the time they spend there. We highly recommend little dog adventures!
I cannot say enough good things about Kelly and Little Dog Adventures! I feel so fortunate to have found this daycare for my dog, Charles. Kelly is absolutely wonderful; it is clear that Charles adores her and spending time with his friends at LDA. The group size is small enough that the pups get ample individualized attention, and the backyard is the perfect set up for playing. Plus the pick up and drop off couldn't be more convenient! Kelly takes the time to upload photos and videos daily of each dog in addition to putting together the cutest photo shoots during holidays. I am very sad to be moving and leaving LDA. I would recommend Kelly and LDA to anyone.
Panda is our baby and we were very picky about where we were going to send her to day care. From our first meeting with Kelly, Panda took right to her. Kelly is so smart and intuitive with the dogs. Panda is a happier and more even-tempered doggie ever since she started going to Little Dog Adventures. She gets excited when I put her collar on because she knows Kelly is coming to pick her up. Kelly is very trustworthy, cautious, and caring, and has a great indoor / outdoor play area in her home. Panda gets lots of exercise and has become a very social, playful pup. Kelly is so considerate when it comes to our fur baby and treats her like her own. She creates a Google Photos album for each dog and we get daily updates with awesome photos and videos! Without a doubt I would 100% recommend Kelly and Little Dog Adventures.
