Diane (Bogie) gave EJ lots of attention and took him for many many walks during my absence. She also froze some of the leftovers that I had prepared so that I would have food upon my return--again, much appreciated without having to go shopping immediately. Her compassion did not go unnoticed!!

When we select a sitter, we read every review in addition to conducting some sort of video interview. We really rely upon the experiences of past hosts, so that’s why I believe it important to be honest in this review. I love giving out 5 star reviews and do quite frequently, but I also need to share any less-than-positive experiences as well for those hosts who rely upon reviews such as we do. As such, I’m a bit ambivalent about writing this review of Katie, as there were some really good things Katie did while here. She is a lovely, energetic woman who responded immediately to the concerns I voiced to her during the time she watched our pets; however, the “negatives” we experienced speak to the heart of the importance of having a dedicated pet sitter. For the most part, our home was left tidy and neat – which is no small feat as ours is a large house and I appreciate the care Katie took in ensuring we walked into a clean home. That said, Katie failed to notice my dogs had urinated in both of their dog beds and on the floor of our downstairs office, which we believed happened in the first part of the sit and resulted in the downstairs smelling of stale urine. Further, because she didn’t notice the urine, my pets, when downstairs, had to either sleep on the bare floor or in wet beds, neither of which is a satisfactory option. Also, my dogs don’t generally urinate in the house as they have access to a doggie door, and this seemed more a sign of their distress or discomfort. I believe this incident was part of a larger problem I experienced with Katie and that was in the manner in which she approached this sit. I advertised dates of July 6 – July 22. We generally ask our sitters to come in a day or two early as to walk them through the schedule for both our animals and our many plants, as well as to give them time to get to know the animals and experience a little of the town we live in. We also provide a very detailed introduction and welcome guide which outlines our expectations. Katie came in late in the day on the 7th, without personal transportation, which necessitated us picking her up and then my neighbor taking her to a rental cart company the next day because we left very early on the morning of the 8th. This abbreviated introductory time didn’t allow us to fully prepare Katie for the sit and allowed for some apparent “misunderstandings.” The “issue” for me was for the first five days of our 13-day trip, Katie was away from the house for up to 13 hours at a time – leaving our two, older rescue dogs, who have some separation anxiety - alone and with an extended time between meals. It was clear Katie was using this opportunity to visit many of the beautiful areas which surround where we live – hence using our home as more of an Airbnb to vacation – than a house sit dedicated to caring for our animals. Our dogs are fine with being alone for up to six hours but even that, for multiple days in a row, is, frankly, distressing to our animals and to us, as owners. To Katie’s credit, when I called and brought her daily, extended time away to her attention and reiterated my wishes the dogs not be left for more than 6 hours, she changed her schedule and while still gone every day, capped her time away at six hours. And, as I said, she is cheerful and responsive; hence, the ambivalence is positing my concerns with this sit. I think if Katie is provided with very clear expectations prior to the sit and understands exactly what is needed and expected, she will absolutely deliver. For whatever reason, from the start, this sit was rushed, there appeared to be too many misunderstandings, and it ended up being frustrating for us in ways other sits have not been.

This is the third time Brigid has cared for our cats and our house, and as always, she did a fabulous job. Our cats, especially Rosie, remember Brigid and are glad to see her. Rosie's feeding can be difficult, and Brigid takes extra care with her and keeps us informed of how she's doing. Emily is very shy, and Brigid knows how to work with her and respect her space. We greatly appreciate that because we know Emily is not hiding the entire time we're away. Brigid also takes great care of the house while we're away. We always return to a clean house, all the mail collected and in one place, and the indoor and outdoor plants properly watered. We are very grateful that we have connected with Brigid and her family members in the local area. We definitely will ask for her to house/pet sit for us again!

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.

Abby was truly the best pet sitter we've ever had. We were never concerned or worried about the care of our pups and home. All the neighbors have told me that the dogs looked happy on the many walks. She sent videos of photos about every other day. We hope that Abby will stay in our home next summer as well. Abby is very highly recommended by our whole family, including the dogs!!!

Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Not only did Krista take great care of our cat while we were away, she left the house cleaner than she found it. She also kept in touch with occasional photos and videos of kitty antics, which gave me peace of mind that the cat was well-cared for. Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!

Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. Our lab had a great time at Rosey’s! Shara met me for a meet and greet, showed me where my dog would be staying for boarding, and also booked a daycare day to ensure our dog would do well before booking a longer boarding stay in a new place. She answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. I felt the facility and quality time spent with our dog was above my expectations - a large fenced-in yard, an air conditioned barn where kennels are at, lots of doggie toys, and special one-on-one play time appear to be the norm at Rosey’s, I received photos and videos of our dog daily! The only negatives I can think of is having earlier drop off times for boarding would be helpful and this business is cash only and you pay in full before the service is completed. I get it, so whatever, but it’d give the customer peace of mind having a paper trail and it would be convenient to pay by check or card.
We just picked up our Husky from Roseys kennel, after spending a week in key west. I am beyond happy with the services she offered. She sent us updates everyday with photos and videos. Our husky never once looked sad. He got to interact with other dogs. This was our first time boarding him, and first time using Roseys. We will be back for sure. Thank you Roseys kennel for taking such good care of my handsome man while we were gone ♥️
I had seen Rosey's Kennel & Rescue recommended many times in a local community group. I contacted them for nail trims for my 2 cats and my dog and was able to schedule it for the next day! She came to my home which was nice and got the job done without any problems. Nice people and a good price. She was so good with my pets. I will definitely be scheduling all future nail trims with her.
The first time that I called to see about getting my dogs nails trimmed, Shara was able to do it that same day! The price was even better than I expected. She only charged me half the price of what the vet charges! Shara is such a sweetheart and she did an exceptional job with my Karma girl. We had Rosey's watch our dog Hannah last weekend for two days and was very happy with everything! Shara came over the week before for a meet and greet with Han and us and it went great. We got lots of pictures and videos of our Han while we were away and she looked so happy! Very glad to know she was in good hands while we were away. I've always been leary about who I let watch my dogs because of issues one if them has had with fear of other dogs. Roseys came very highly recommended so I decided to try out her doggy daycare. I am SO glad I did!! Shara is amazing with animals. She shows so much love and care to her clients. She's helping my scared dog get used to other dogs again and they love pulling into the driveway knowing they get to play all day rather than sitting at home. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs boarding, or even a day away at daycare! She sends me pictures and videos all day so I know how they are doing. The prices are more than reasonable for the service and peace of mind she gives!!

I randomly met Shara at a store when I asked her about her jacket advertising Rosie's. She gave me a business card. Several weeks later, I found myself in need of an at home sitter for 24 hr care. I called Shara and luckily she was open and could fit us in. She came for a meet & greet visit and my 2 dogs and felt very comfortable right away. She's was very very good with them. While sitting, I was sent pictures of them playing and resting. My anxiety was instantly gone! My dogs thrived and happily were able to stay at home! As far as my house, Shara left it picked up and clean....you'd never know she was there. What a pleasant surprise. DONT HESITATE TO TRUST THIS WONDERFUL LOVING YOUNG LADY. She's very professional and yet down to earth caring, loving person. Paws-A-Playin' is the best. It is amazing to see how well a business can be run when it is the owner's passion. They love every pup who comes to stay with them. My daughter discovered this pooch paradise 5 years ago, when her golden was a puppy. I started bringing my Norfolk terrier when I moved to the area. They love it! We have had them go to both the day camp and the overnight stay and have been very happy with how well our dogs were cared for. The prices are competitive as well. You can't go wrong with Paws-A-Playin'.

Paws-A-Playin' is simply the best! We have had Jamie and Randy watch our puppy several times now for doggy day camp and sleepover pawty's and I just can't imagine taking her anywhere else. They are affordable, but most importantly, our girl is so loved and well cared for during her stay. We know she plays with the other puppies ALL day long because when it is time to pick her up, she falls asleep in the car before we even leave the driveway and is exhausted the entire next day! Prancing Poodle is a step above, or probably many steps above, other pet care services we’ve tried. Julie, the owner first came over to check out our place and our kitties, followed by a visit by Jacob, who would be providing the care, to also meet our boys and go over their care. The pet sitting while we were gone was outstanding, with Jacob really taking the time to get to know our kitties. He also sent thorough updates of each visit with some fantastic pictures. We finally feel like we can relax a little with regard to our pet care and better enjoy our time away knowing our babies will be well cared for. Everything can be set up, and paid for, through the TimeToPet app, and the updates come through the app as well. Very well run and professional organization. Highly recommended.
We recently moved from out-of-state with our two dogs, so finding a pet care provider was a big deal. We checked around with several different services and kennels before choosing Prancing Poodle. It was a great decision. We get incredible care and support for our 4-legged kids during the week when we're at work, as well as any time we travel. The dogs love Ms. Duke, which is a big deal to us. They're exceptional judges of character, after all. She is one of the most knowledgeable pet care providers I have ever met, and some of her care advice has been invaluable. If you want the best care for your pets when you can't be there yourself, then I highly recommend Prancing Poodle.
I don't normally take the time to fill-out surveys, let alone give a perfect score... but in this case it was fully warranted. Julie has found a wonderful niche for pet owners that care about their pets like their own kids. We couldn't bear to put our dog, Pepper, in a kennel for our son's wedding. Julie came to our home to walk and feed her and give her some companionship. She was such a great communicator and so dependable that we were totally at ease for this family event. We are incredibly grateful for Prancing Poodle as they have connected us with the most fabulous pet sitter, Sally! My husband and I have never needed pet sitting services before, so with our 3 & 5 year old Australian Shepherds, this was a new experience for all of us. The entire process was easy, and we feel confident that our dogs are treated well and taken care of while we are gone. Sally does drop-in visits 3-4x per week, and on occasion, has watched them for weekends here and there at our home. Julie has been providing exceptional care to my four cats for almost 3 years. Two of my cats need especial care due to age and other health conditions. She makes sure that all needs are covered and provides extra attention to my senior cat who is 19 years! I love her daily updates confirming cat feeding, box cleaning and their individual behavior. Julie was wonderful. We have three animals; dog, cat, and house rabbit and were away for a month. Her level of care, service and professionalism were first class. Our rabbit needed medical care while away and we were at ease knowing she was there taking such good care of our 'crew' (and tending to our house plants). She drove our dog to daycare a couple of times a week, and our 'people' cat was well attended to. We were very impressed with Julie and would use her again without pause. She sends daily updates (notes, pics) and does what she says she will do as per her information given to clients. It was lovely to come back home to a clean house with happy, well looked after animals. Have already recommended her to a friend, and would unequivocally recommend her.
