Cathy and Scott were fabulous sitters! They definitely rate far more than a 5. From the very first picture of my pups to the last I could see how caring and loving they were with my dogs. When my husband and I arrived home the house was spotless, all linens and towels washed, bed made and the best part was happy dogs! We even had dinner waiting for us in the fridge and muffins on the counter. I could not ask for better dog and house sitters than Cathy and Scott. Beirne is a very clearly a dog person. My pups took to her in less than a minute of meeting. It was clear that Beirne has been enjoying her travels with the added bonus of being able to sit for other people’s pets. We spent a day together to show the ropes, walks and local amenities before we left. We had daily pupdates with photos and videos. Our pups looked loved and safe in their own home. Nadine was lovely. We had such a nice visit when she came to meet our cat, Annabelle. Annabelle warmed up to her immediately. She was interested in learning all about Annabelle‘s routine, & the various things I showed her throughout the house. I didn’t get to meet Jeanette, Nadine‘s friend, but I know that the two of them enjoyed Annabelle as much as she enjoyed them. They sent me cute photos, & I was relaxed, knowing that she was in good hands.

We had such a wonderful experience with Helen as our housesitter. She is a most unique and interesting person who manages to juggle a demanding job with taking great care of our pets. Both of our animals -- but especially our dog, Gabby -- fell in love with Helen and moped around for a few days after she left. That tells you everything you need to know. We enjoyed getting to know Helen, as she arrived a day or so before we left, and she even played a few pieces on her alphorn -- an instrument we'd never heard played live before. She's an accomplished musician, a wonderful sitter, and a quality person. Much appreciated!

Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.

Tom was the PERFECT pet and house sitter. I went out of town for a while after my dad passed, and I had a few pet sitters bail before he came in for the rescue. When we started to plan a trip to Italy, I couldn’t get too excited until I knew who would watch our dogs. Our regular sitter could only cover the first several nights, so I had to find someone to cover the rest of the trip. I looked for hours to find someone who meets our high standards and could stay at our home, especially since we would be an ocean away. Once we did a meet and greet with Gabby I knew she would be perfect. Our dogs loved her and she sent us tons of photos, videos and updates. There is no doubt these pups had constant love and attention. I never had to worry about them which allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation. When we came home they were calm and healthy. I would not be able to say that if we left them at a kennel. We feel like we made a new friend and am so happy to know I can trust her with our kids. I don't even know where to begin. Let's just say I have two high maintenance dogs, one being elderly and one being a Jack Russell (enough said on that one!) I always struggle to relax when I am away, because the older dog has separation anxiety, and at nearly fifteen years old, I know her days are numbered. It is hard for me to have peace of mind not being able to be the main caretaker of her. Then I found Gabby. I have never had a vacation where I was able to relax and not be worried about how everything was going at home. Gabby went above and beyond, even with the crazy medication and supplement schedule I have the senior gal on, and the demanding nature of a high drive breed. She sent updates and pictures every single day. I did not have to wonder what was happening or how everything was going. I honestly could write pages about how amazing our experience with Gabby was, but let's just say this.. BOOK HER NOW. I'm already looking for dates for vacation next year so I can be sure to have her in advance. Could not have asked for anything more from her at all. If I could give an infinite amount of stars, I would!!
I have 2 tiny dogs that have super sensitive stomachs and eat 4 times a day. I had to travel out of state for almost a week and was extremely preoccupied about leaving my 2 little ones. I found Melrose pet resort, and let me tell you that Gabby is the most amazing, comprehensive, and pet lover dog sitter you could found. She took care of my babies like they were hers, she went above and beyond to accommodate them so they could be separated from bigger dogs, as I asked, they could have their meals at their regular schedule and she also kept updating me constantly with videos and pictures of my little ones. They had such a great time with her, got to make a few little friends that were staying at her place, and even participated in a Christmas photoshoot!. She gave me piece of mind while on my trip, and I definitely will be using her services next time I travel.

As a bulldog owner I’m always looking for the best care possible since our boy tends to need a little extra attention, and we absolutely found it with Gabby. Gabby’s attention to detail is on another level. She did an amazing job with our dog, Remi. He is a creature of habit, and his transition from us being out of town to Gabby staying with him and taking care of his routine was seamless. Remi has specific medications that have to be taken, and I was not worried about Gabby covering everything perfectly. I cannot rave about how great Gabby and Kris were with my dog! Being a sitter myself I know I can trust them with my anxious little boy going forward. I have never left my dog with anyone but my family before and him being an older and anxious dog I was not sure how he’d do. But almost immediately Gabby and Kris made him feel so comfortable and right at home. Talk about an AMAZING dog sitter and person, Melrose Pet Resort is a far better pet sitter that I ever came across. I came from out of state, and we were recommended to Melrose Pet Resort while we look for a home. Contacted her and immediately got a quick response. I never in my life have as much interaction with her as other dog sitters in the past. I have a Deaf dog and one with diet needs... Gabby constantly send photo's and video's of there activities, and I could see how happy my fur babies were. Hands-down, the best pet sitter I've ever had the honor to work with. It was like leaving the dogs with a family friend. If I even had the slightest worry about them or their care, it vanished in the rain of delightful photos and videos and the constant updates about breakfast, dinner, lizard hunts and games of Ball. It is just possible that my dogs had a better time than I did while I was on vacation. They stayed in their very own room, in crates for everyone's safety, but were out and about quite a lot of the time (certainly WAY more than they would be in a kennel or daycare) and they were treated like family. They got to "help" make dinner and cuddle on the sofa and watch TV. Obi even got to chase MANY BALLS AT THE SAME TIME. Heaven! Obi and Ursa can't wait to stay with Aunt Gabby again!
We recently put our baby Jasmine here after searching for a boarding facility for weeks. And I can't say how happy we are that we decided to choose Melrose Pet Center opposed to one of those facilities. Not only did she get personalized care, she got love and affection the entire time. We know so because Gabby sent us updates daily; mornings, afternoons when she could, and night. She sent Pictures and videos and Jasmine looked like she was having the time of her life. I also loved the cute bandanas she had while we got the pictures. We were even lucky enough to get a pic of Jas with Santa in their home (Thanks Kris!! Lol). We have used Sugar Run for years for our dogs. We know our dogs are well cared for while we are gone. I love seeing the updates of our pups on their Facebook page while we are away. My girl Mable is quite the sensitive and picky pup, and a home body for sure. Her tail starts wagging when she sees the owner Ray, and goes to him. She comes back happy and taken care of. I also like you can call last minute and he always takes her. Very reasonable prices too.

They took very good care of my cats over the weekend. They were very friendly and he made me feel very comfortable leaving them. To top off this great experience they have the best prices around. I highly recommend them.

Do not ever bring your dog here! I was here 6 years ago, my dog stayed over night and came home with his face bruised.. she said it was because he ran into a door but that would only hurt his nose.. I honestly believe someone struck in the face bc he wouldn't stop barking.. her fault for living in the same house as the daycare.. please please I cried for days bc he was hurt
We left our dogs there, and she didn't know where the one was, when we went to pick them up after a week stay. Our female dog was in her bed, and very sick!! Took her to the vet asap, and she had vomiting and diarrhea. The owner tried to say she came there sick, which was a total lie. We never took them back.
Always leave our dog, Rose, here when we travel. So good with her.

My dog has gone here several times for grooming. Few few times were good. But this last time. My dog has been limping for 4 days. I can't see anything g wrong but I think his nails were trimmed too close. Not sure if it's his nails or not. But Doogie lodge will not answer emails sent. Will know more tomorrow when I take him to the vet.
Admiral Peary doggie lodge is a wonderful kennel. We have taken our two Jack Russell terriers there on several occasions. The staff there is very caring and take great care of our dogs. I would strongly recommend them for your fur babies. Also, their prices are very reasonable.
We have two golden retrievers who suffer from separation anxiety, so leaving them for a few days is very hard for us. From past experience when we would pick up our beloved pups from their prior kennels, our dogs always seemed traumatized for weeks after the fact. We decided to give this kennel a try and we are so happy we did! Not only were the prices better than anywhere around, I think they had much better care than anywhere else we have tried. This place has 24/7 supervision for their boarding and that put us more at ease. Not only were the staff incredibly kind, but I had called the day before pickup to see if my dogs could be groomed before we arrived to get them. Even with such short notice they were able to accommodate our request. Our pups came out looking happy and polished! And the best part - they weren’t traumatized from their stay! We don’t board often, but we’ve decided that when we do we will be forever using this place.
We are newer customers here and have used their services for both lodging and grooming our dog. The grooming went flawlessly and we were very happy with his haircut. This business has two locations and we were told our dog would be boarded at the same building as his grooming. When my wife went to drop him off for boarding they told her she was at the wrong place and he would have to go to the other location, where he was not groomed. Then there was some confusion regarding his shot records, as he had never been at that location. It delayed my wife's trip by about 45 minutes. We did get it sorted out and it was only a minor inconvenience, but it was worth noting. On a positive note, they took great care of our dog while we were away. We're planning on using both of their services again in the future. Grooming prices are very reasonable.
They took really good care of our two babies. Our dogs where in good hands. Our dogs seemed at ease when we dropped them off and when we picked them up. They were very happy.

Wonderful experience with my cocker spaniel. Maggie was a rescue from a puppy mill in Kentucky. She had little positive interactions with people. The staff was very understanding and compassionate with her. I was extremely happy with her grooming and would highly recommend them. was groom
Excellent! This was our first experience with the Doggie Lodge and we couldn't be happier! We have a great pyranese mix. He was bathed, had his nails trimmed and his ears cleaned and he smells fabulous. The staff were very kind, friendly, and treated our pup well. We were given a worksheet upon pick-up that detailed his experience from his behavior to recommendations for upkeep. This is by far the best grooming experience we've ever had. We will be back!!

Skipper loves Sheila and the staff-he always looks so nice (and he knows it!) when he gets groomed! I recommend them-they are great!
