Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.
Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.
Alyssa was a very organized and caring pet sitter. This was our longest house sitter stay and she took excellent care of our home and two sweet and bossy Frenchies. I liked her communication to touch base the week before and how she initiated a shared photo album. We prefer not to get bombarded with daily text message photos and updates. She came up with a connected solution and touched base throughout her stay keeping us informed and sharing photos without a push. She even shared some travel gems about our destination as she is also a curious traveler and enjoys exploring outdoors. We would be happy to use her again.
Rebecca was amazing! She is a kind and clear communicator, took loving care of our pets, and left the house in perfect tidy shape. My husband commented, "You can't even tell she was here!" :-) Her calm demeanor, intelligence, humor, and common sense experience as a pet owner made her the ideal sitter for our 7 pets of varying species, ages, personalities, and needs. She managed the pet routine like a pro—including diapers and daily meds for our older dog—and cared for all of our pets as if they were her own. If you're looking for total peace of mind, Rebecca is your sitter!
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. I’m very pleased and would both recommend her and love to have her again.
We had the pleasure of having Tara as our house sitter while we were away, and we can't praise her enough for the fantastic job she did. Not only did she take excellent care of our home, but she also showed tremendous love and attention to our beloved dogs. From the moment Tara walked through the door, we could tell she had a genuine passion for animals. She immediately bonded with our dogs, and they seemed completely at ease with her. Throughout our trip, she provided us with regular updates and photos, which truly put our minds at ease knowing our boys were in great hands. Tara took great care of our home as well. It was evident that she respected our space and coming back home, we found everything just as we left it, if not even better! We highly recommend Tara to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring house sitter. Her communication was excellent, and she proved herself to be a responsible and dedicated individual. If you want to ensure your pets and home are in the best hands while you're away, Tara is the perfect choice. Thank you, Tara, for taking such incredible care of our dogs and home. You made our trip stress-free, and we're truly grateful.
Lyndsey and Jordan were wonderful pet sitters and house guests. They kept us informed of how our pets were doing and went above and beyond to care for them. We felt entirely comfortable leaving our home and pets in their hands and arrived home to find everything tidy and the pets well cared for. We would absolutely have them sit again if the need arose.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith

We love taking our dogs here! They are always well taken care of. The owners are always more than happy to send photos or videos of your furry friend. Our last stay our two dogs were there for 7 days and came back in the same health as when we dropped off. The kennels where the dogs stay are very cleaned and well taken care of as well as the run area where to the dogs get to play.
Do not take your dog to CJ’s if you care about your dog’s health. We picked up our dog to find her in pain with scabs, areas of red, peeling skin and missing fur in random spots all over her body. When I asked CJ’s about my dog’s skin, I received an answer that, to summarize, said she was an energetic dog that liked to dig and there was no way they could prevent abrasions. When I responded that I took her to the vet and she had to be started on multiple medications for the inflammation and infection on her skin, they started ignoring my messages. It’s now been 2 weeks and they still haven’t responded to my request for a refund to cover the vet bills. They let my dog suffer when I was only an hour away. At drop off, I told them I would be close and asked them to call me if anything happened. In fact, I even stopped by to check on my dog in the middle of her stay. My dog seemed happy and healthy at that time. However, something obviously changed between my visit and when I picked her up. Proper veterinary care at the first sign of an issue could have prevented it from becoming this bad. Either they failed to notice or just neglected to inform me, allowing it to worsen to the point where my dog was yelping if her ears were touched. My dog is still on medications. Some areas are healing but it seems like it will take a lot more time to get her back to the same dog I dropped off in CJ’s care.
The complaint by a customer at CJ’s catagorically we deny the allegations. We take great pride in the care of family members and love every one of our four legged visitors and our two legged owners(well most of them.) The pet in question is a lovable hyperactive Egyptian Hound and was here for 4 weeks. The owners stayed in the area and visited once for 10 mins while bringing more food. Special care was given to Sea Ray,s mental and physical health. When Sea Ray was picked up, the owners family was here for 25+-mins and never mentioned any issues, only later a day or two later complaining, demanding us to pay for Sea Rays vet bill, no amount mentioned nor and vet bill copies forwarded. We at CJ’s stand by our loving care of family members/pets, having been in business for 17yrs. Any who wants to discuss the care of Sea Ray can call us and we always welcome customers to come for a “show and tell” prior to boarding or discuss Sea Rays stay. We are life long pet owners, have 3 fur baby’s of our own and love them all, and any time we see vet care is needed,we take our pets to the vet or call customers immediately. Thank you. Carilyn and Leroy.
We went our of town for 4 days and left our two dogs with Carilyn and Leroy. They were wonderful to work with. I called several times before our trip and Carilyn was always very kind in answering all of my questions. She sent us videos of the the girls while we were gone. The whole experience was great. We will definitely be taking Luna and Geraldine back the next time we go out of town. We felt really good about our dogs' experience with CJ's Bed & Biscuit.
I was really nervous about leaving my dogs as I never boarded them before. I was put right at ease. My dogs just loved it. Will diffently use CJ's again.
**** UPDATE: 9/18/2022: CJ and I have reviewed our records of May-2021, re Fresno Surplus anonymous complaints recently made 1 1/2 years later. We find no customer than left 2 dogs for 2 days during the month 5/2021. By far most customers were repeat customers from 2 years to ten + years, 5 to 50 plus visits with nary a complaint. There were 2 newer customers with 2 dogs each, but for 4 day stays. One customers pets had serious health problems, but within our ability to care for. Our kennel is always temp controlled winter and summer by constant attention with cooler, fans, heaters and workin A/C units as needed. The last fly problem was in 2013 and was dealt with. CJ’ is very very particular about any smells, with the kennel waste checked and cleaned up several time a day as needed, with flushing and mopping inside with pet friendly chemicals. As far as the kennel being noisy ??!!, This is a dog kennel, and when a customer comes with pet/s, the dogs can be very noisy, but surprisingly settle down and the kennel can become very quiet, especially at feeding times. We welcome “Fresno Surplus” to contact us about their 1 1/2 yr complaint, if in fact they were a customer. A negative one star review one day ago of 2 dogs that stayed in May of 2021 is not a valid review and appears to be a fake review. We are unaware of any personal experience or complaint of any dogs in distress that stayed at anytime 1 1/2 yrs ago. We have had repeat customers that have come for years with some a number of times a year. CJ’s kennel is in the country on our 20 acre farm where we live and CJ and I are the only one that care for the pets and many times day or night check the kennel pets needs. We are lifetime pet owners and animal lovers. We know pet owners miss their “family members”, so we offer videos on request and send them to the owners that travel up to world wide. We want owners to know their pets are in good hands and they express this many times. Many pet owners marvel at our entire yard and the facility and express appreciation for the care we give. We hear of their experiences at other facilities which is why they are thankful for our care. The report of flies is flat false. The kennel is regularly cleaned with mopping, hosing the runs and cleaning waste in a very timely manner. We never have had complaints the kennel smells due to not being cleaned as CJ is very particular, as am I. The A/C units are operational and we have chosen to utilize an evaporative than does a better cooling job and strategic placed fans are added. With temps well above 100 degs and in the 108-113 deg temps this season, inside temps are a challenge with the 24-7 open doggy doors and temps are kept at 78-80 degs max with frequent checks with infrared temp gages, cooling the building with water and the shaded runs. Pets water is checked multiple times a day as well as a check of each pet. We do get pets of all breeds of ages from 8 months to 20 yrs old, with a number on meds. CJ and I take great pride in the care we give customers “family members” (pets) and encourage anyone to visit our facility , as many do take advantage of our “show and tell” offers and nearly 100 percent make reservations after visiting. When pets are overly stressed and missing their owners, I sit with them and even sit or lay with them in their run. Pet at CJ’s are never mixed with other pets for safety and they can socialize between the runs. We have had customers bringing their pets on many repeat visits over the years. I personally take the challenge to make sure the pets are relieved of stress and both CJ and I are very proud of our facility and take serious exception to those who would post a false review. We welcome FRESNO SURPLUS to contact us personally to review their issue. We have not had a complaint of pets care made to us over the 17 years in business nor the facility or condition as we work tirelessly 7 days a week year round. Again, we encourage visits to are facility. Leroy G senior. 9:57 - 9/14/2022
So I was looking for a place to board my 9 year old dog. Called up this place and the lady who answered was very rude. She just didn’t want to help. Very rude person. I hope she feels better.
I'm very cautious about leaving my dog anywhere. However, every single time I have used CJ's my dog is happy, relaxed and content! The kennel is designed for the maximum enjoyment of the doggies with there own dog door from each kennel to a dog run. Plus their is a larger run they rotate the dogs into for extra space. I do not have anxieties about my dog staying here. 2 👍👍 from the human and 2 🐾 from the canine! 🐶😁
We are new to Fresno and had to go out of town for 3 days. We found CJ's bed and biscuit online and gave Carilyn a call. She was very accommodating and got us all set up. We have a 7 month old German Sheppard mix who had never been boarded before and was still getting socially aquatinted with people. Leroy and Carilyn would send us pictures and videos to keep us up to date on Walt's progress. We were running late to pick Walt up because our flight got delayed and when I text them to let them know it wasn't an issue. I would highly recommend this business if your pup is in need of his/her own vacation. It is set on a lovely vineyard with big enough runs inside and out. There is a dog door that your dog can go through to get fresh air and even though Walt had never used one they just nailed it up for him. He loved it so much I think he wanted to stay and play tug o war with Leroy some more.
They nearly killed my dog! My dogs stayed there in May of 2021 for two nights. They kennel building did not have working AC and they were running fans. Both dogs came home sick and my older dog ended up nearly dying of dehydration. Lots of flies, bad smell and loud dogs. It's cheap, but disgusting! Do not bring your dog here!
Incredibly beneficial training! Our dog was highly distracted and wouldn’t listen to our commands. Daniel’s training has made it so much more fun to take her anywhere with us. She is more disciplined and responsive. Daniel was honest with what we can expect and was very invested in her progress. We recommend him to all our dog parent friends.
We rescued Lilac our 2 year old GSD this past August. There was no history on her and she had been at the shelter in for 2 months. She loves people and other dogs. She is very sweet but had jumping issues, is high energy, and had lots of anxiety. She would follow us every minute of the day. She would walk and pull us and wouldn’t even walk in a straight line. Lilac was with Daniel and his team for 4 weeks. They are miracle workers. She is much more confident. She follows commands. She clearly has a lot less anxiety. She walks with us. Daniel & his wife sent great updates with pictures and videos. He spent plenty of time with us at pick up going over everything so we can continue working with her at home. We are grateful that after lots of research we found Daniel and his team.
Trusting Daniel and committing to the training program was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Daniel and his trustworthy team completely transformed my dog Oscar from reactive to obedient and comfortable around other people. I highly recommend his training service and dog boarding to anyone with a dog.
I just want to say what an absolute decent, selfless and professional Daniel is. He came by and showed me a few important things and told me that my puppy didn't to be board and trained. That I should do what I'm doing now and if I need him to board and train her in three months or so, he would. He literally told me to save my money, that he's not about. During my meeting with him, I could tell he loves what he does and he is a WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AS A TRAINER AND CARES ABOUT OUT PETS. Just a fantastic guy. Thank you so much David. I hope to see you again.
Super legit, send your dogs and enjoy life w/ur pets. We have two doodles, both rescues -- 10 yr old doodle we got 5 years ago who was never great, had HUGE issues with stealing and aggresive behavior with resource guarding....we were able to manage, but once we added a 2nd dog and had a baby...our life was getting awful....constant battles, things getting destroyed, torn up.....barking at everything and we had terrible nonexistent control with them.....definitely not a safe enviornment for a new baby.....we tried multiple in person trainers at home for a year and eventually decided on a board and train. Daniel and his team were able to work with both of them via the 6 week boarding program and the changes have given us a HUGE improvement in our life. Now we can quickly recall them, walks aren't full of stress, and guests can finally come over again without them going bonkers/barking like crazy nonstop and trying to steal everything in sight. If we have guests that are afraid of dogs, we can send them to a bedroom or laundry room and they'll happily hang out without scratching up the door and walls like maniacs trying to get out.....they're calm, happy and enjoying life! The follow up support is 100% there, Daniel has been incredibly kind in answering questions, offering continued guidance, and helping us maintain the skills the dogs have picked up. Highly recommend it -- If we got these kind of results for two dogs who had years of bad habits and lack of supervision/training and reverse them to obedient, happy dogs....he can def make it work for your dog. It's a big commitment, i know....but absolutely worth it. Highly highly recommend.
I took my 7 month old golden doodle to Paws and Stay for a 3 week program. We are Amazed with the results. We now can take our dog out to dinner with no worries. Off leash and on leash I have a new dog!! If I could give you 10 stars I would!! Special shoot out to Brittany, you could see how much my dog loved her by the videos!! Super Happy all the way around!!!
We left our 6 month old Pup with Daniel and his company for their 2 week board and train. Daniel and his trainers took amazing care of our little guy and he came back a new pup! They constantly sent updates with pictures and videos of his development. Amazing work! Daniel answered all of our questions we had. We truly appreciate his honesty. We highly recommend Paws and Stay K9 Training for all board and training.
Daniel and his crew are as good as it gets! We rescued Marlowe (Australian Cattle Dog mix) and she needed a lot of work before we brought home a new human baby! Daniel came to our rescue. He communicates well, is extremely accommodating, and most of all is an outstanding dog trainer. It is evident that he cares deeply about the dogs, their success, and their owners. Marlowe came back to us a whole new dog. We are absolutely shocked at how well behaved she has become. She is still sweet and loving but no longer fearful, reactive, and out of control. She knows and follows her commands with ease. We are now so excited for our future with Marlowe. Thank you Daniel and crew! Highly highly recommend!
Daniel and his team have been amazing, we enrolled our 6 year old pit bull into the 4 week training program earlier in the year to teach him commands and social skills with other animals. We were very pleased with the results and the continued support after the training. We’ve also sent our pup back to Daniel for boarding while we were on vacation for a week. If you’re looking for a training program for your dog that works, don’t hesitate to call Paws and Stay, I highly recommend.
Daniel is amazing!!!!! He trained my sweet Australian Cattle Dog, Rue, back in 2020. He sent videos/pictures/updates daily on her progress. To have the freedom of taking her anywhere -Off Leash- is the best feeling!! I get compliments constantly on how well behaved she is. In November of 2021, Daniel boarded her while we were on a trip, and even had her involved in training with other dogs. She had the best time meeting new friends! For me, I was put at ease knowing Rue was with someone that cared for her as if she was his own, AND kept up on her training! We all know too well how when we leave our babies with someone who lets stuff slide, we come home to a mess! Not with Daniel! He’s incredibly patient and has a true love for dogs. He understands how to get through to them and turns them into very calm, confident, pups with zero anxiety! As a dog mama, I am so happy I found someone who could give all these things to my baby girl. I recommend this company to anyone! Very well worth it in every way!
Dog On It! William is on it! William has been servicing our yard for a while now and we couldn't be happier. I had seen dog poo crews before and was unsure if it was worth the extra service. I mean my lawn guy picked up some poop before he mowed every week, what else did we really need? I was wrong. The dog poo needs its own service if I'm not going to get out there EVERY week, and let's be honest, I don't and I'm sure you don't either. For about the cost of a lunch William comes each week, finds the poo and takes it away. On the grass ... gone. In the flower beds ... gone. In the rocks... gone. Under the trampoline... gone. Most of the flies are gone too, which definitely helps in the house during the summer. I had looked into a couple of other companies, but none were as friendly, personable and seemed to care like William over at Dog On It. Our dog knows him and gets excited when he's there. He's always got a treat, some pets and willing to toss a toy. Thanks William!
Incredible service!! William is an absolute Gem!!! Our dogs get so excited to see him! Thank you for blessing us with your wonderful service!! Much Love ❤️ 👑 …
Would recommend A one service.
