Cathy and Scott were fabulous sitters! They definitely rate far more than a 5. From the very first picture of my pups to the last I could see how caring and loving they were with my dogs. When my husband and I arrived home the house was spotless, all linens and towels washed, bed made and the best part was happy dogs! We even had dinner waiting for us in the fridge and muffins on the counter. I could not ask for better dog and house sitters than Cathy and Scott. Count yourself lucky if you can have them sit for your pets. I hope in the future that I can entice them to come back. Thanks for everything!!

Beirne is a very clearly a dog person. My pups took to her in less than a minute of meeting. It was clear that Beirne has been enjoying her travels with the added bonus of being able to sit for other people’s pets. We spent a day together to show the ropes, walks and local amenities before we left. We had daily pupdates with photos and videos. Our pups looked loved and safe in their own home. Our home was very clean and tidy when we got back and we would highly recommend you accept Beirne’s offer for future sits.

Marla and Kurt are great caretakers and genuinely interesting, nice people. When we spoke initially Marla suggested she come in a day early to accommodate our way too early flight departure. This also gave us some time to get to know each other a bit and explain the “quirks” of our old house. While we were away, she kept us up-to-date with photos of the ‘kids” and informed us of service deliveries so we could ensure quick payment. We returned from a rather busy vacation to a clean home, sparkling pool, and happy “puppies”, as well as a loaf of French bread from our favorite boulangerie and some very special honey. These last two being over-the-top thoughtful. It is so nice to be able to go away knowing that you don’t have to worry about what’s happening at home! Marla and Kurt make that happen. Thank you both, looking forward to seeing you again.

Nadine was lovely. We had such a nice visit when she came to meet our cat, Annabelle. Annabelle warmed up to her immediately. She was interested in learning all about Annabelle‘s routine, & the various things I showed her throughout the house. I didn’t get to meet Jeanette, Nadine‘s friend, but I know that the two of them enjoyed Annabelle as much as she enjoyed them. They sent me cute photos, & I was relaxed, knowing that she was in good hands.

Nancy and Wayne were great. One of the things that needs to be done here is light our split log wood boiler, which some people can find complicated. Janis and her husband Dan were beyond phenomenal! Communication was great leading up to their arrival, especially with coordinating arrival and departure times. And during the sit, I got lots of picture updates throughout of how Isabel was doing. I could tell from the pictures how comfortable and happy my dog was hanging out with Janis and Dan and getting all the pets and attention. Coming home, everything was left so clean and organized. I definitely recommend them as pet sitters as they clearly took such good care of both my pup and my home.

Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! Tom provided a last minute sit when my 2 week long trip got extended to the 3rd. The previous zeewoi sitter was no longer available for the 3rd week, and Tom came in as a savior. As requested, he started his sit a day prior to the posted dates (thank you for being flexible). He met the prior zeewoi in person, since I was not in town, and got to know the house and cats quickly. He sent pictures of the cats each day and added a note about their well being. He was independent and was able to figure out how to use the litter genie on his own. I returned to a clean home and healthy happy cats. Would love to have Tom return and recommend him to anyone leaving their pets in his care.

Mary Jessica was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our GIANT dog Mamma Mia. She took extremely good care of our house with it cleaner than we left it upon our return. Our neighbors remarked on all the walks she gave Mamma and Mamma seemed very pleased with the entire experience. Mary Jessica was self sufficient, needing very little instruction outside of our Welcome Guide. She followed everything I wrote and asked how much communication I’d want. Thomas did an amazing job! We were very pleased with how well he was able to care for our 3 active Boston terriers. He was able to handle all 3 on a walk and feed them their special meal everyday. He even ventured out and took them to the beach which is no easy task for 3 excited dogs. Thomas did a great job communicating before and during the stay. We came home to a clean house with bedding washed. We had a handful of other pet sitters through this website and Thomas easily rates at the top of our list. Farhan is a fantastic house sitter! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a down-to-earth, kind, and caring pet sitter for their home. We have three small dogs (around 6 lbs) and he took excellent care of them. They can be a little nervous/ timid around new people, and more so around men at times, but the dogs didn't show any of that nervousness around Farhan! He was gentle and respectful of their space and they warmed up to him immediately. I got a wonderful text the first morning that I was away that they cuddled up with him at night - showing how quickly they adjusted to him as their caretaker. I was able to meet Farhan in person before I left on my trip and I was able to have a wonderful conversation with an ambitious explorer. He is a delightful person. Upon my homecoming the house was very clean and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I can't ask for anything more! Thank you Farhan for taking such wonderful care of our three dogs and our home.

Tom came over for a meet and greet and went over everything in detail. I felt very comfortable letting him watch my dogs. He followed my instructions exactly as I explained them to him. I loved the report card and photos! I highly recommend and will definitely be using their services again!
We could not have asked for a better experience!! Tom was very thorough and wanted to make sure that no box was left unchecked before babysitting our poodle for our vacation. I received updates every single day with informative notes to let me know how Oliver was doing. Tom was responsive to my texts, and very loving to our baby boy. Clearly, Tom and his team worked with our Oliver during his 30 minute walks as we noticed Oliver with much better walking behavior upon our return! Tom and his team were faithful in watering our plants, ensuring that Oliver had music at night and had cuddle time every day. We are grateful and will use Tom’s service again ♥️♥️♥️

Tom & Desiree are the best! They took care of my dog Mia while I was recently on vacation. They walked her 3 times daily and showed her much love and attention. Mia is a Lab/Beagle mix and at times she can be a handful!! Her hunting instincts kick in when she see a rabbit, squirrel or chipmunk and to say she pulls on her leash is an understatement!! Tom handled her very well and was up to the challenge. I can honestly say I did not worry about her at all while she was in their care. I will definitely use Tom & Desiree Pet Service in the future! Initially, I became aware of Tom and Desiree through Petco‘s rover app. We started with them approximately eight months ago, and I will never have anybody else as long as they’re available. My litter boxes are clean when I come back as if I were there myself. He sends pictures of my cats, even to show that he plays with them. I recommend them highly

This is the third (or fourth?) time that I have used Tom & Desiree's service and they are just wonderful to work with. Their website makes the booking and payment process super easy and they have been great at communication leading up to and at the time of service - I have used them for both drop-in visits and dog walking for my two Labrador retrievers. They always send me a detailed "report card" - including photos - after each visit and the best part is that my dogs absolutely LOVE them (especially Tom) so I never worry about them when I know Tom & Desiree will be stopping by!
Being my first experience doing something like this I was nervous leaving my fur child but Tom and Desiree took great care of my pal baron, fed him on schedule took him out to play and interacted with him, even cleaned up an accident. They sent me pictures and he was happy and enjoying the new friends he made. The house was just like I left it when I returned home along with one happy doggy thank you so much for taking care of my best friend.
I have multiple animals. Not all of them required attention but they took time to become acquainted with them. Of those cared for, none were rushed and all were given positive encouragements. Very patient. Even went out of the way to secure pill pockets for one needing medication. Also asking if anything else was needed before finishing up
Tom has been doing weekly lunch time visits and walks with our dog for over 6 months. He is professional, organized, and provides updates and photos after each visit which is greatly appreciated. I had recently taken my 4 month old berner puppy and 3 yr old lab for doggie daycare with an overnight stay. This was first time away from us for both dogs. Our lab is a velcro baby and hates to be separated from us even when we're at home. But, she had the best time at Don a Shirls with all the dogs and hated to leave. Chris took great care of our puppy as well. I would give him 10 stars if I could, as they take great care of your furry loved ones.
This was my first time using this kennel. It was a recommendation from a friend. The owner was friendly. It was obvious he and his young son who helps him love dogs. My dog was in good spirits when I picked her up after 3 days here. I will definitely use Don-A-Shirl Pet Motel in the future.

They were awesome! They watched my dog Dutch for me for 4 days, they informed me that he did very good and they loved him! Very reasonable prices and smelled clean every time I walked in. I would always recommend this place if you need a temporary place to board your four-legged friends!

I moved away and miss them desperately. This isn't a fancy over the top luxury resort for your dog, but it is CLEAN and filled with love. I never smelled anything negative during drop off and pick up, and before I moved I was taking my girls there every other weekend. My dogs received attention like they were the only ones there, even when they were quite busy. They were always happy and excited to return - I think that says it all. This business is operated by good people with hearts full of love.
This is the only place we will take our 2 dogs. I think they have more fun there than we do on our trips. Our older dog Duke has anxiety, but you'd never guess it when he RUNS to the door! I've posted a photo of Duke after he comes back from a weekend there. We know they're both in great hands. So thankful for them!
Chris took great care of our young pup for a week while we were out of town. The only draw back was the radio was so loud all the time now she hears a radio she is running to hide somewhere.
