Your pet will miss me.
I would gladly let Barbara take care of my pets again. Barbara stayed with my Frank and Fievel for a weekend. She spent time with them and remembered to take photos during her stay. Communication was excellent and the apartment was in the same state or even better when I returned.

mature, responsible pet sitter extraordinaire!
This was Sara’s second sit with my sweet shy kitty, Stevie Nicks. She stayed for 2 weeks while I was visiting family. Sara is a dream cat sitter for us as she is calm, caring person, works from home, and has so much love and experience with cats. She sent little videos or photos of Stevie everyday, and any updates about how it’s going. I came home to a happy cat, clean apartment and a few little treats for me too. We look forward to our next sit with Sara!! Highly recommend.

Passionate travelers and pet lovers
Irina and Rus are the most amazing and fantastic housesitters. They are warm and wonderful people, who were careful and thoughtful in taking care of my dog and plants. My garden was in better shape when I came back than when I left! They took beautiful pictures of my dog to send me when I was traveling and I know she was so well looked after. I would highly recommend them to everyone as sitters and I am so thankful to them for watching after my house and dog! Thank you both!

Audrey was a great sitter for my dog Gunner while I was away! She sent me updates, got in all fine & followed all instructions I provided her, and I came back to a clean apartment. I'd definitely recommend and would ask Audrey to watch my dog again!

Retired professional gardeners available to care for your home, garden & pets.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Cole is quite simply: The Best! This is the 3rd time she has housesat for us. Our two cats always have a great time when she's here, and our house was cleaner upon our return than when we departed. Cole is a great communicator, texting us periodic check-in photos and updates. We will ask Cole to housesit again for us in the future without hesitation and we highly recommend her!

Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
Monique was very nice and easy to schedule with. She sent us pictures of our dog Maisie while we were away, which we enjoyed seeing. Maisie was well cared for and had gotten plenty of exercise by the time we got home. The house was spotless, which was lovely to come home to! She had taken the trash and recycling bins out, even though we hadn’t mentioned them to her before we left. She made sure to let us know if anything was amiss so there were no surprises when we returned. Would definitely recommend her as a pet and house sitter for others. :)
Martin was a very conscientious and thoughtful house sitter who took excellent care of our pets and our home. He was reliable, self-sufficient, and a very good communicator. He clearly enjoys and cares for animals, and our house was spotless when we returned. We recommend him wholeheartedly!
Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. She thought of everything related to us and our pets, so we could have a seamless late evening return. We highly recommend Andrea for any zeewoi, as she is a jewel. Anyone looking for a “perfect” sitter would be lucky to have Andrea as a trustworthy, considerate and kind person to care for their pets and home.
Elaine was the best dog and cat sitter I have ever had! She was so loving to the boys, kind, reliable, capable and took fabulous care of my two dogs and cat welfare. Walked them every day and would even sing to them (-: I am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting Elaine and I would recommend Elaine to anyone wanting first class care of pets and home!!! We all miss having her around and wish her a fabulous world trip and safe journey back to the States.
Megan and her partner were INCREDIBLE pet & house sitters during my 5 days away last month. I received consistent communication in the form of updates & photos and I had the true sense that Megan was invested in the wellbeing of my animals and truly enjoyed being with them! My house was CLEANER than I left it (immaculate!) and she left a sweet card thanking us upon our return. Truly the best sitting experience I've had thus far, thank YOU so much!
Mikala & Jake were great house & pet sitters for us!! Our dog and two cats absolutely adored them, and we came back to a very clean home with happy animals :) They were very reliable and fast communicators. They even had to deal with our power going out while we were away, and they handled it well. It eased our minds to know our animals and house were in such great care while we were away and would have them sit for us anytime!

We recently used the spa services at Wag Hotels for our two golden retrievers, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! The team did an amazing job—our dogs came back happy, squeaky clean, and perfectly dried. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. Booking was simple, and check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. It’s clear they genuinely care about the pets in their care. We’ll definitely be using their services again. Highly recommend!
I am really impressed by the staff at Wag. We’ve been taking our dog here for about three years. Everyone we have met has been outstanding. It is more expensive than some of the other places we previously tried, but the quality of attention and care is absolutely worth it. We have a rescue dog who can be very timid around strangers. The staff at Wag has always been warm, kind, and caring with him. They remember him by name when we bring him in and treat him as if he was their own. Most importantly, our dog has opened up and now greets the staff as people he trusts.
Hi! I’ve been taking my dog to Wag for the past 6 months and I am truly grateful I found this place. Everyone is so kind, helpful, and great with my dog 🐕. I want to give a shout out to Miracle and Taryn. Super sweet and I enjoy sharing stories of our dogs together. Keep up the positive caring crew for our fur babies. My dog looks forward to her play dates there wagging tail and all!! ☺️ Best, Julie 😃
We have been taking our dog to Wag Hotel in Redwood City for years. They take excellent care of our dog. Earlier this year, our dog had an emergency health problem. We were promptly called, but were in flight and didn’t get the call until we landed. Our dog was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment. We were kept informed the whole time and felt like she was in excellent hands so we didn’t have to immediately return home. All was good in the end, she was given antibiotics and returned to Wag where they gave our dog her medication exactly as the vet instructed them to. Overall we have been very happy with Wag’s professionalism and kindness.
I only book with Wag, and they never disappoint! Owning a Great Dane means I need a sitter who can handle his size and personality, and the team at Wag is absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to ensure my dog is well cared for, providing plenty of love, exercise, and attention. I always receive updates and photos, which give me peace of mind while I’m away. If you’re looking for reliable and caring pet care, I highly recommend Wag!
The wag hotel in redwood City provides an adequate service. They seem to really care about the animals and provide photos when you're away. I gave instructions for him not to play with other dogs and not to let him play with any other toys except for the two that I provided. (He has been sick in the past so I didn't want him exposed). One of the photos they sent me was with another toy in his mouth. The second criticism I have is the cost. My boy was there for less than 36 hours and it was astronomical in price. For 36 hours of boarding. And one 20 minute ball session for each day cost me over $250. Just ridiculous. Unfortunately, I will have to find an alternative for next time I'm out of town.
I'm new to Wag Redwood City and so far our experience has been positive. Our pups appear to be well cared for, the employees are well trained and appear to genuinely care for pets. I've found the employees to be transparent and informative in communicating even on the rare occasion someone has gotten it wrong, which we appreciate. Thank you to the Wag Redwood City staff. We appreciate the service you provide and the calming classical music played in the lobby...no doubt a good thing for pets and humans alike.
This is a great facility for taking care of dogs when your work or life expects you to travel without your dogs. We have only used overnight stays and not day boarding. We have left our dogs at length about 5-7 days and they have come back home safe and happy. I do think private rooms are better equipped to take care of dogs. The staff are courteous and they take time to respond with relevant and appropriate messages when we usually call back to check on pets.
Close miss on a 5 star review, here is our breakdown. We will board again at Redwood City Wag. It was clean, the staff up front was super friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. It was organized and geared towards our pets. There was even a cute welcome sign for our dogs at the front door when we showed up. Overall our dogs were given food each meal time and their treats we left them in each meal bag. They did have water too. We did receive our photo memories of the dogs each day so we know they were taken out for their Specialized Care time. The cameras worked and never stopped working so we had constant access to see them while in their room. We also received report cards on each dog about their stay. They had a grooming appointment the day before their stay so we passed on the complimentary grooming that was included in the package we chose. But, both dogs came home clean. Their room was clean the whole stay of 7 days. They called us promptly when they noticed the appetite was low for both dogs and asked if they could add a topper to entice them to eat. We have zero qualms about their care and services for the dogs. Here is the dock in one star We boarded our two large dogs here because they had an ultra suite available and we wanted a larger space for them to be in while we were out of town for 8 days. We originally were booked at the Santa Clara location but we could not get them the ultra suite. The largest room they had available was big enough comfortably for one large dog. So we switched last minute to the Redwood City location purely for that reason. Both our dogs are rescues with horrible start to life backgrounds so we knew giving them extra comfort and keeping them together was a key to their stay here so they did not feel dumped. They each had their toy they loved and their night time milk bone with no problems or objections from Wag. Where our only issue is was when we arrived we asked to see the room they were in. Not a tour, just walk back with them to say bye. We wanted this because we know how sensitive our dogs are to our leaving and this was the first time boarding them anywhere (normally they stay with family). We were quickly rejected by the site supervisor to our request - just cold and curt. It didn’t sit well for the money we were spending to board them there- but on a more personal standpoint, the customer service from her specifically made the difference here from a five star to a four star review. This was also for our own comfort as we were going to be out of state, it was our first time boarding our Dog's and far enough away that we couldn’t get to them quickly if needed. (We did have an emergency contact on file if anything happened.) We were the only drop off in the lobby and staff was able to retrieve and send home two other dogs from the play area quickly while we were there getting checked in. A totally separate individual came out to take our dogs back to their room and both our dogs were trying to stay with us instead of going in the back. He was kind and gentle with the dogs but us walking them back would have made all parties more at ease. It was stressful for our dogs and us, their/our trip could have started off much differently and better than it did. This put their staff in an unnecessary and uncomfortable position. Regardless of the situation that didn’t allow us to walk back with them, it could have been handled better from their own leadership on site. When you are running a pet hotel it should be obvious that you are working with families that value their pets and treat them as family. No one wants to start their boarding experience with their dogs fighting to not go in the back. That extra minute of conversation and understanding or walking them back instead of seeing them fight not to go would have been the chef’s kiss. We would recommend and stay again at Wag Redwood City.
Everything went well during my dog’s first stay at Wag. She was happy to trot right in at drop off so I had a good feeling about it from the start. The staff in Redwood City is friendly, professional, accommodating and they love dogs! Thank you for taking such good care of my dog.
Sadly, this wonderful business was a casualty of the pandemic economy. This place is sorely missed by many of us. Our dog Beauregarde went there for ten years, so that says something. Our cutrent dog could sure use this place. Dave's still running Four Paws ranch up north and if it were closer, we'd be there.
Not to sound melodramatic, but The Lucky Dog Ranch saved our life! We adopted our rescue pup at 3 months old over 2 years ago. Dusty turned out to be the most high energy dog on the planet. Three walks a day was not making a dent in her energy level. Our neighbors told us about this magical place up in the hills call The Lucky Dog Ranch. Dusty tried it once and we were all hooked. The wonderful thing about the Ranch is that they have different play areas for different dogs depending on their size and energy level (of course she was in the highest energy group). She could finally run and play all day to her heart's content. The staff is incredible and clearly love all animals. They also offer sleepovers. We never feel guilty taking a trip because we know she is in good hands. She always cries all the way up the hill because she is so excited to go to the Ranch. When we get there, she bursts through the gate to see her friends!
My dog loves this place! He is always excited to go and always happy when I pick him up. He used to go every week day while we worked out some separation anxiety issues with him at home. We are forever grateful that they allowed him to come in on short notice, this allowed us time to work with him on weekends so he no longer howls when we’re gone and our landlord no longer threatens to kick us out! Now he goes once a week to once a month to socialize, the workers are always so nice and seem to really like having him there. This is also the only place we’ll board him. Whenever he can’t be home, we definitely have peace of mind that he’ll be well taken care of when he’s at the ranch. Opie loves you guys! Thank you for taking good care of him!
MY DOG LOVES THIS PLACE!!!! I have taken my 6 month old bernedoodle here 4-5 times a week since he was a small puppy. He runs from my car with so much excitement and can't wait to get in the back to play. His excitement warms my heart so much I cant imagine not taking him here every week. Prices are really great too at $17 a session, I really can't say enough great things about Lucky Dog Ranch.
I love this daycare because my dogs love this daycare. When I drop them off (I have two), they wag their tails and pull on their leashes to get in. When I pick them up after work, Frank (my Newfie) plays dead so I can't put him in the back of the truck. While I don't love that part, I feel good knowing that they spend their day in a place that they clearly love. There are no kennels here, and it's sort of free range with the other dogs - so if you bring your dogs here, just make sure they play well with others. The people that work here are great and clearly love animals. I feel lucky that we have a kennel-free daycare so close to home that our dogs love.
I live in Fresno and watch your show faithfully. It brings tears to my eyes to see and hear about all the dogs you find homes for and the people who receive them. It's amazing to see the special work that you do to get all those dogs ready for their new homes. Keep up the good work that you do for all the animals you save. I'm going to keep watching. Thank you for all you do. Mrs. Susan McDaniel PS. I have two dogs and 4 cats myself, and love my animals. Your right, they are like my kids.
In the summer time I actually train dogs. My dad got me a dog a girl dog she was so beautiful and caring adorable but my mom did not like her because my dog kept popping and peeing in the house but I still love all kind's of dog's!!!!!!!!!!!!. My dog is named molly my name is sammie
I just finished watching the story of Sky the White German Shepard. It brought back memories of my German Shepard and my horses. He was given to me and I never even thought about him bonding with the horses but he did immediately. There was a fence separating them but when I would go out to the pasture Buck would go with me. As a few years went by one of the horses was old and slowing down I would look out to the pasture and see Buck laying down next to the horse or in front of him nose to nose when I put the horse down Buck would look around for him I had another horse after that and they got along great. After a while it was Buck and me only I cried when I watched that story it brought back good memories. Thank you for a wonderful program.
Watch your show all the time Mr. Brandon. You’re so patiently awesome with those dogs. Train and take care of em. Can I request for your assistance and input please regarding our dog. He has anxiety issue. Let us know please if possible. Thanks in advance Mr. Brandon.
We have been taking our setter, Daisy, to Lucky Dog for about five years. Prior to discovering LDR, we never went anywhere overnight because Daisy, a rescued dog with a history, is pretty neurotic and could not tolerate being kenneled. For several years we were unable to find a place where she would be happy. LDR is in an almost rural area--the western side of Emerald Hills in Woodside/Redwood City. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. A variety of environments are available--grass, dirt, tanbark but no concrete that I have seen (other than the driveway). Dogs are allowed to roam the large property (within limits) and are also allowed in the house, where they can sleep if they wish. The owners and staff strike me as very dog-savvy, figure out which dogs get around well, and provide separate areas for dogs who get into conflicts. Lucky Dog boards dogs overnight as well as providing doggy day-care, for which it seems to be very popular. Be sure to book well in advance; this place has a large following! You and you dog will need to come in for an interview prior to booking. Be sure to get all shots up to date first!
This place is amazing!! The staff truly cares for the dogs. They are very responsive and so reasonably priced. They were so flexible and understanding as well. Maui & Moe came home so happy and tired after day care and boarding. Highly highly recommend!!
We travel for at least 1 month each year without our dog Lotus, so it is extremely important that there is a doggie day care and boarding facility that we can absolutely trust. That facility is Woofs and Wiggles, which we have been using for many years, both for Lotus and her predecessor Roxie. Woofs and Wiggles is a small family-run business, operated by the owner and a few staff members, all of whom seem to take great pride in what they do, and take great care of the dogs that are entrusted to them. The facility itself is clean and spacious, and the dogs are well looked after. Prices are reasonable. I could not ask for more.
This place is clean, affordable and has knowledgeable staff. I was gone from my pup for 2 days and was extremely happy with how he was taken care of. He has special needs, extreme hair loss because of stress from previous abuse, so his skin needed to have lotion applied to him every day. The staff went out of their way to make sure that it got done. The only downside was that I had to drive out of the way to get to them, but the drive was worth it because of the price and quality compared to some of the closer kennels to me didn’t match up.
Great doggie daycare that's just a few blocks from where I work. Owners, Johnny & Diane, are very friendly and easy going, and the staff are great with all the dogs. The staff live onsite, so there is someone there 24/7, which makes me feel better about boarding my guy, Grayson!
It was by pure accident that I have discovered an amazing daycare in Redwood City. Bottom line: incredibly kind, caring staff; very clean facility; very inexpensive. It is a small family business: the owner's name is Diane and she is assisted by her son Johnny. People: Diane and her staff took amazing care of our dog -- they know her by name, they went into a store to buy her favorite food when the food we left ran out, they pampered her throughout her stay there. They gave her as much love and attention as we do. Amazingly kind people, who took incredible care of our dog. Facility: very clean, with plenty of room for the dogs to run. Prices: I was slightly blown away at how inexpensive they are and how straightforward the pricing is. I hope this is helpful. Cheers!
My toy poodle is my first pet, so he is the baby of the house, especially for my autistic daughter. I came guided by google reviews and with doubts I brought my baby here for Pet Boarding. I’m SO grateful for the excellent care! The place is clean, they have the dogs separated by size, each one with its own mini playground and beds. The manager and assistants were very helpful. I recommend it !
We have four dogs, of whom the whole family loves! The biggest problem with having four dogs is that, while they are part of the family, they cannot go on all family trips or getaways. This being said it is very difficult and expensive to send your family to a place to board for any period of time. This being said, it is awesome to know that a place, like Woofs and Wiggles, is around. It's a pretty good drive for us to drop off our dogs at Woofs and Wiggles, yet we do so gladly knowing they will be well cared for with reasonable prices! The owners, Johnny and Dianne and all of the staff, know all of our dogs and treat them as they would their own. So I have no hesitation bringing my dogs here and leaving them. I also have no hesitation when recommending this place to anyone looking for a place to take their four legged family members! 5 stars from me!
Staff was friendly and prices were very reasonable, but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my Frenchie here. It didn’t seem like the dogs had much supervision and the layout made it seem like it wouldn’t be suitable for very hot or cold days. I want my frenchie to have supervised care and attention 24/7, and I didn’t feel like this was the place for that.
My puppy loves it! I first tried Woofs and Wiggles because they allow puppies under 4 months and I'm so happy I found them. Johnny is great! My dog gets so excited whenever I bring her to daycare. It makes being away from her much easier, knowing that she's gonna have a great time. :)
Woofs and Wiggles is a great daycare located in a bit of an industrial neighborhood of Redwood City. Johnny and his staff are very caring people who obviously love dogs. My dog always has a great time here and comes home tired and happy.
I highly recommend Dogz101!! When I first started working with them, I was really struggling with Gabby. We had been through 3 dog trainers in the past. Each time she improved, but we could not fix the issue of her recall nor chasing other smaller dogs. She is such a sweet girl, but she has a very strong prey and herding drive. The last time she got into an altercation with another dog. I was so desperate. Dogz101 was recommended to me by a friend. I took Gabby there to train with Barack. What a difference!! He not only worked with Gabby but with us. There were a lot of things we were doing wrong. Barak was really patient with us. It has been 3 months since taking her home. She had some difficulty on making the adjustment back home. Barak was great, working with us again until we all felt comfortable. I can now walk with Gabby off leash, and it is fun to take her places (whereas before I would be scared she would do something). We take her to restaurants, and she can sit quietly next to another dog without any correction. The cost of the training is not cheap, but it is worth it. I thank you Dogz101 - we could not have done this without you.
Review Dogz101 changed our lives. We spent months researching and talking to trainers all across the Bay Area. Once we sat down for our consultation, we felt understood and confident that our dog could have lasting change. Our dog, Kairo, was extremely dog reactive. He barked, pulled, lunged, & growled every single time he saw another dog. We read books, watched videos, but could not lessen his reactivity on our own. We decided to enroll Kairo in their 35 day board and train program. We got regular updates (pictures and videos) tracking his incredible progress. They worked on Kairos confidence around other dogs, on/off leash obedience, and place. He made such amazing strides everyday. The Dogz101 team fell in love with Kairo and Kairo fell in love with them. Our trainer, Tony worked relentlessly and with care to get Kairo to the point he is at now. Kairo has been home for about 2 months now and not only has his confidence grown, ours has too. Kairo is a work in progress, but we now have the tools to manage the reactivity thanks to Dogz101. We continue to take Kairo to group classes (5 included with B&T package), which helps keep the training fresh. Dogz101 has made it clear that they are going to be a resource for us his entire life. They have gone above and beyond to make Kairo’s life happier and I can’t believe how much growth he has made. Take your dogs to Dogz101, you won’t regret it.
tl;dr highly recommended for grooming, boarding, training. Staff are truly fantastic and our dog just adores them. We first went to Dogz101 for their grooming service, a few months after we got a new puppy. Our puppy was, by all accounts, extremely difficult - he was anxious and generally wouldn’t let anyone touch him. So we had low hopes for grooming. When we picked up the puppy, they explained that they bathed but not groomed him, due to his anxiety, but they were willing to try again and see if he felt more comfortable over time. We were grateful that they were respectful of the puppy’s emotional needs and also willing to work with us. Fast forward a few months, and we needed to board our puppy while traveling out of town, so we used Dogz101. We were grateful that they sent us texts, photos, and videos during that time, so that we knew he was doing well. However, when we picked up our puppy we had the biggest surprise - he was so content and calm that they had even successfully groomed him! It was just abundantly clear to us that our anxious puppy developed trust with the staff, and really loved them. In fact, he would snuggled up with them, which he had never done with anyone before (picture included!) A few months later, we were still struggling with our puppy - a natural consequence of his breed, we found out - and decided to splurge on a board & train package. Long story short, we were BLOWN AWAY at how well trained our puppy, now dog, became. And the best part was that he loved being trained. He was happier with the structure and discipline they taught him, and we were happy to learn how to communicate effectively with our dog. The way they taught both our dog and us (especially with follow-up classes after the board & train) has completely changed our interactions with and connection to our dog, in the best possible way. Now months since the training, we can confirm that the board & train was long lasting and worth every penny. We literally cannot believe that our dog is now capable of everything they taught him. We feel so good about using all of the services at Dogz101 not just because we’re happy with the results (thought we certainly are) but also because our dog shows us that he trusts and loves them. THANK YOU to Dogz101 for all of your help with our dog; he’s now 1 year old so we’re excited to use your services for many years to come.
I had my dog groomed at Dogz101 by Dustin and he did an excellent job! Shadow is a very fluffy guy and he came out looking and feeling absolutely amazing!!
They are the most consistent groomers I have been going too. I can always trust that the folks at dogz101 will take care of my dog!
Stopped in on a whim after passing a sign on the street. My dog has been my hardest experience in clipping my dog's nails, so i wondered if they could do better. Only $12 and 3m later, i was greeted by her wagging tail and short nails! Super friendly and swift!
This is a hidden gem of a training amd boarding place. While I'm sure the "purse dogs" would do fine here, they really shine with the big and strong dogs. Our 110 pound GSD looks forward to his play dates here and always comes home tired and happy. There aren't many boarders who understand the needs of larger, high energy dogs, but they get our guy.
We did an in home board and train with the owner, Jennifer, and have had the privilege to work with Tony every weekend for their maintenance. Before working with dogz101 we had no control over our minpins, we couldn’t have guests over because our dogs would bark at them the entire time, going for walks was a nightmare since they’d pull and bark/lunge at other dogs, people, bikes, etc., and they resource guarded everything. Since working with Jen and Tony, for the most part they only bark to alert when someone is at the door/comes into the house, resource guarding is no longer an issue, and when we’re out in public they no longer pull on the leash or react to their previous triggers. Tony has been truly amazing with the dogs and with us as their owners. He never fails to validate our frustrations or remind us of the progress we’ve made. Tony went out of his way to perform a home visit for us and checks in with us once a week/every other week to see how everything’s going which we truly appreciate. You can’t go wrong with dogz101, they’ve been incredible every step of the way.
Best grooming place ever for my little Maltipoo, Honey Bear. Priscilla is the receptionist and She has the best personality and is very informative. This was my dogs first time there and Pricilla text me a few times to let me know how my dog was doing. She knew I was worried because my dog became a bit aggressive after having bad experiences at another place. Christina is and from now on will be my dogs groomer. She did an absolute perfect job on my Honey Bear. This is a very professional establishment. They take good care of of the pets. Sorry for the long review but I can't say enough good things about DOGS101 and their employees.
My husband and I are new to the area and brought our healthy two year old dog for daycare on two occasions and had concerns that you should be aware of. The two times she came, we asked both times for them to trim her nails. We were fine with the add-on cost, but both times she came home without it being done. The two times she came in, when she got home she drank 2-3 LITERS! of water and was heavily panting in the car on the way home. I find this negligence to be VERY concerning. Visit at your own risk.
Ry The Pet Guy and his dog walkers are life-savers! I adopted my 3rd rescue over the pandemic, a year old German Shepherd with a lot of energy, and finding Ry has been such a relief. He gets picked up twice a week by Gabe who takes him for his pack walk and even works with him on behavioral issues. He sends spectacular photos of their pack walks and video of how to continue the training exercises. Gabe goes above and beyond to connect with the dogs. Best of all, when we board all 3 dogs, they love him and the rest of Ry's crew and come home happy and relaxed. Absolutely top service for dog care!
Ry The Pet Guy and his team have made our trips abroad much less stressful! We know that our precious little dog is safe, cared for and relaxed while he is with Ry. All the staff are very attentive and send us pictures of our wee pup while we are away. Ry and his staff provide a calm environment for all of the dogs. We trust Ry and his team for not only walks but longer stays too. Our dog comes home happy and pampered!
Highly recommend Ry and his wonderful team for daycare, training, and boarding! We love Gabe who takes our big boy Jerry (far left in photo) out with a dog group three days a week. Jerry loves his time with his paw pals!
Stellar service!! There’s a reason why Ry The Pet Guy has a solid 5 stars reviews! Getting a dog sitter can be a very stressful thing. We are so lucky to have found Ry and company to take the best care of our fur babies and we are no longer stressed about leaving our fur babies behind while on a trip. Ry is attentive, caring and communication is on point. It is obvious that he has a TON of experience taking care of dogs and being attentive to each and every dog under his care. Our fur babies love him and are always so excited to see Ry. It’s a win win! Don’t waste your time and book with Ry The Pet Guy. You won’t be disappointed 👍👍
We absolutely love the service. Ryland is very reliable as are his staff. Our dog loves all of the walkers and we even get gifts from Ryland at Christmas time which a lovely touch. Highly Recommended!
Ry and team are so thoughtful with their dog care. This is the *ONLY* dog boarding place where our pup gets excited to go with them - all other places we've tried, our pup gets scared and nervous, breaks your heart as a dog mom! Instead, when Ry and his guys show up, our little girl cannot wait to jump in and head off to a weekend with her friends - did I mention they pick up your pup too? So convenient! Better still, Ry takes magazine quality photos and will send them to you while you're away from your beloved pup. Are they the least expensive option? Of course not, but the quality of care, the love they show these dogs, and the piece of mind of knowing our girl is well cared for while we're away makes it completely worth it. Thank you, Ry and team!
We've been using Ry The Pet Guy for over 2 years and have nothing but great things to say about them! Our dog (the one on the far left) goes 3 days a week, and has boarded with them for long weekends and extended stay when we have been out of town. Our dog loves the entire staff and has no problem being away. Gabe has been picking-up/returning her, and our dog can't wait to go in the morning! Gabe lets us know the 30 min slot he will be coming, and sends us daily photos. He is friendly and delightful to work with and we trust him to leave our dog inside if we are not at home. He also does some obedience training!
I would highly recommend Ry the Pet guy. Our original plan of care from a dog sitter fell through at last minute and our pup (Frenchie) has never been away from us. So I was a little nervous about leaving him but Ry and his staff were super warm and welcoming with Stitch. He was so excited and doing zoomies on the property when we arrived. He is a huge ball of energy so I was curious how he would do there. Throughout the 3 days we received daily updates on Stitch and pictures of his walks and adventures. It was such a good feeling to be reassured he was happy, well cared for and having a great time with other dogs. We will definitely be using their boarding services again. Stitch definitely felt the love! Thanks Ry and staff.
If you're looking for a trustworthy and caring place to leave your dog, look no further than RTPG. As someone who had never left my dog alone, I was understandably nervous about leaving him in the care of strangers. But from the moment I dropped off my pup, Indy, I knew he was in good hands. The team at RTPG are true dog whisperers, and had Indy comfortable and happy from day one. Throughout my trip overseas, they kept me updated with pictures of Indy on epic walks with his new friends, and I could see from his eyes that he was having the time of his life. They even helped Indy overcome his fear of bigger dogs, and gave me tips on how to be the best owner possible. When I picked Indy up, he was better adjusted than when I left him, and eager to return to RTPG. Their facilities are spotless, they come and pick up your pupper and drop him off for daycare as well. Overall, I can't recommend RTPG and their team enough. They truly care about the dogs in their care and go above and beyond to ensure they have a great experience. If you're looking for a place where your dog can be safe, happy, and have an adventure, look no further than Ry The Pet Guy.
Ryland and his team are amazing! They take such good care of my fur baby, Harry, who can be an odd ball, and frankly, a handful. They understand dog behavior so well, and give my dog so much love and attention. He gets so excited when he knows that he is going to stay the weekend with Ry and team. Ryland has also done extensive behavioral training to be a trusted dog trainer. His passion for learning new tools and approaches impressed me, and made me feel at ease when I first began using him. I am so grateful to Ry the Pet Guy and team for being part of our pack and trusted caretakers. 11 out of 10 recommend!!
I can’t say enough about my experience with Smilin Dogs over the past 10 1/2 years. It is the ONLY place I can take my very spoiled and overly attached pup where he doesn’t object and enthusiastically spends his day. The staff couldn’t be more caring and friendly. I highly recommend Smilin Dogs!!
Smiling Dogs is the best! I’ve been taking my great Dane there for many years and they love him and take care of him like he’s their own. I highly recommend Smiling Dogs. The staff are friendly, professional, and wonderful. Most of all they just love your dog! Highly recommend.
Maxie loves it at Smilin Dogs. They take really good care of him. They worked with us to accommodate his special needs. I would recommend 10 fold. He is Diabetic with Separation Anxiety. Staff has been attentive and very responsive when I have questions. Thank you Smilin Dogs...
Omg where do I start. If you want to send your dogs to people who truly care, go here. I have 2 dogs. A puppy (Victor) and an elderly dog, Benji. Sadly, Benji crossed the rainbow bridge. I got a card in the mail from Smilin Dogs. I thought “that’s sweet that they thought of us”. I opened it and there were AT LEAST 10 and probably more messages from the staff with personal anecdotes about my dearly beloved dog. THEY KNEW AND LOVED HIM!!! No words to describe this. Our pup now gleefully has fun there and the staff is amazing. You can’t go wrong.
We’ve been sending our pups to Smilin Dogs for decades. Our 2 doodles get crazy excited every Wed when the van comes to pick them up for weekly hike. It’s the only place we trust for dog boarding when we’re away. The staff at Smilin Dogs are wonderful so we know our fur babies are always in good hands.
We’ve used smilin’ dogs for almost 10 years with two very different dogs. Both are large so they go on the off leash hikes and it’s a win-win. The dogs have so much fun (even our current much more anxious dog seems to do great), the dogs get social time and lots of exercise and the Smilin’ Dogs tea is always so helpful and willing to give super specific feedback on the dogs. The “camp counselors” love these dogs and their hikes and treat them like their own! Huge thank you to Smilin’ Dogs!
Another successful day for Cali at Smilin Dogs. Came home a happy camper and exhausted. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Our Doberman fur baby loves Smilin Dogs and if I tell her that “you’re going to the ranch today” she gets very excited and can’t wait to go run and play with her dog friends. She was anxious with other day care providers but does well at SD’s when boarding too.
Nothing but great things to say about Smilin Dogs. My dog has been going to the ranch twice a week for years and we board on occasion. They are easy to communicate with. My dog has been happy and well cared for.
Just started taking my 2 dogs. They have a super friending staff, and are very accommodating. My pups had a great time . My puppy came home exhausted in a good way…. Ate and went right to sleep…. FIALLY found a way for him to release all of his puppy energy without driving his brother nuts lol. My other (older) dog was so happy lol:! Thanks again Smilin Dogs for a great first day:-)
We have now been using this service for the past year. Our dog walker is fabulous, and Lynda, who runs the business, is so responsive, friendly, and helpful. This service is completely reliable, and all of the pet walkers are great communicators and always show up ready to love on your fur baby.
We love Bay Area Pet Pals! We've been a customer for more than 6 years and have had two different, terrific dog walkers (one moved out of state) — both of them were/are reliable, trustworthy and adore our dog as much as we do. We've also used the owner Lynda's pet boarding services over the years, which have been a huge help. Lynda is caring, reliable, communicative, and treats our dog like one of her own. We always feel better having our dog stay with Lynda in a home environment rather than being boarded in a cage. Happy we found Lynda and Bay Area Pet Pals. Highly recommend!
Love this service, Lynda and her team are a breeze to work with. Once we figured out a schedule that worked, I've been consistently and exclusively booking my dog's walks at Bay Area Pet Pals.
We were so fortunate to find the services of Bay Area Pet Pals around 7 years ago!! The owner Lynda is an amazing pet lover!! BAPP has assisted us with daily walks for our girls Millie and Bella, as well as boarding over the years. If you are looking for top notch 5 star service when it comes to walks or boarding for your pooch BAPP is the place!!! A pic of Bella enjoying herself while we were away on vacation!! : )
Bay Area Pet Pals has earned my trust and business! The owner (Lynda) of Bay Area Pet Pals was responsive to all my emails while I was inquiring and searching for a pet sitter. Lynda was extremely helpful in ensuring me that her team was experienced and accountable for services provided. I am so grateful and happy that I found Bay Area Pet Pals. Brandy was excellent and took great care of Rue (my cat) while I was away. I received a text update from Brandy on Rue which I was very happy about as it put me at ease. She even sent me pictures of Rue :). I am excited to have a trusted team that I can continue to use for pet sitting in the near future. Bay Area Pet Pals is awesome. I definitely feel that they are a team of loving, trained caregivers for peoples fur-babies!
We have been using Lynda’s services for more than a year now and they are fantastic. Cassie has been our dog walker and she was always perfect, on time and best of all, our 2 monsters (English Cocker spaniels) love her. We also had them sitting Canoowie and Lola for a week when we had an emergency trip!!!! Heidi stayed in our place giving them all the attention and always keeping us informed on how they were. We truly recommend Bay Area Pet Pals!
We have been using Lynda/Bay Area Pet Pals for at least 7 years as our petsitter for our 2 little dogs whenever we are out of town or need for other reasons. There is no one else I would trust as much as Lynda to take care of them. Her place is like their home away from home, and she treats and loves them as her own. And they get happily excited when they see her. Lynda has also had to give one of our dogs medication every day while we were gone, and she followed through with no problem. My husband and I highly recommend Bay Area Pet Pals to take excellent care of your pets. For us, it's peace of mind that our two dogs are in good hands while we're gone.
I’ve been using Bay Area Pet Pals (BAPP) for as long as I’ve had my dog (10+ years) and there is absolutely no other dog boarding service nor individual that I would trust to provide as outstanding a level of expertise with kind loving care as BAPP and Lynda. Lynda is experienced, professional yet personable and I have complete peace of mind and trust her implicitly whenever I leave my dog in her care. In fact, all my vacations are always scheduled with her availability in mind. I truly can’t imagine a pet care provider who could be any better.
Bay Area Pet Pals have been a godsend for me. We were new to the Bay area 3 years ago and I didn't have the family I normally relied on to watch my cats. On top of that one of my cats is diabetic and the other has chronic kidney disease. I'm a Veterinary Technician so finding the right people to watch my cats was critical and boarding them just stresses them out. I reached out to Lynda and was super impressed by her business model and the care takers she hires. You give her a lot of information about your pets and that really eased my mind that she cares about them. She is upfront about what she needs from the pet owner so there are no issues while you are gone. I travel a lot and Alisse and Kim and absolutely phenomenal! They give my diabetic cat her insulin and Alisse was even willing to learn to give fluids to my old gal. They spend quality time with them and are in constant communication with me via text or email. You do pay for the service but the peace of mind I get leaving my cats in their care is worth it to me. I highly recommend them!
Heather was awesome! We have a very shy cat but after a few days they were best friends. This company is legit. They scheduled a meet-and-greet and had thorough information forms to make sure the sitter isn't locked out and any specific needs the pet had. Will be booking again for future trips!
We're on our second dog here. Our first Bernese Mountain Dog used to get so excited just mentioning the name Planet Pooch where he enjoyed many daycares and extended stays. The staff and owner are caring dog people and really do take an interest in your pet while in their care. Our second Bernese is a pup and ready for loads fun and interaction at Planet Pooch. We appreciate that PP allows un-neutered males up to a year in a playful setting and doesn't confine them as you will find in other places. You won't find a better place on the peninsula for your dog.
Amazing doggie daycare.. we have been sending our pup for 5 years now and we love the place.. everyone is friendly, it's clean, well organized, dogs are well loved.. the play area for the dogs is large and roomy. Our pup always comes back tired and happy..
My pups love going here and they are greeted by name every time. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the overall care feels very personalized. It’s also a small business which we love supporting so they may not have some bells and whistles of bigger places, but they definitely care more about our dogs. The drop off and pick up are really easy too.
They are the best! It’s been so great to have a place for our pup to go and be social. It’s the only place he likes to play with other dogs and people! We’ve seen his behavior improve steadily over time and we know they are a big part of it. The staff really take the time to get to know each dog and work with individual needs. We tried dog walkers and another daycare before finding planet pooch and the others just couldn’t compare. Highly recommend this local gem!
I would not recommend planet pooch. We had a bad experience with them and my girlfriends dog. The dog came back from a boarding session while we were out of town with a large scab and there was no information shared with us during that time. We bought a package for daycare with them and weren't allowed to use it for day care. They canceled on our next boarding session the day before it was scheduled to start and we had to scramble to find an alternate. There was some clear miscommunication between what the owner was recommending in the evaluation and how the staff operated.
We had been looking at different doggie daycares in Redwood City before we chose Planet Pooch and we never regretted it! We have a VERY hyper husky and the exercise she gets at Planet Pooch is the only thing that makes her pass out at the end of the day. The place is clean and well-kept, and we love that they have web cameras so you can watch what your pup is doing at any time. They also have separate rooms and outdoor areas for small dogs and big dogs. One of the things that we like the most is the personalized approach. The owner and his stuff are very nice, we feel like they really care about dogs and always send us fun videos or pictures. Highly recommend this place!
Was no help at all with an emergency situation when my wife's service dog was lacking the correct animal passport to travel on our trip to Portugal. Was told the manager would have to make an exception but the manager was not there on that particular day. Needless to say, I was forced to stay with my Barkley and let my disabled wife travel alone.
We love Planet Pooch! For nearly 9 years, we've been taking our dog here for overnight stays when we're on vacation. They go to great lengths to make the dogs comfortable. In fact, on big firework night like New Year's Eve and Independence Day, they run big fans to drown out the noise. The hours may not always be ideal, but that's only because the top focus is on creating a great environment for the dogs.
This place has taken such great care of my dog for every vacation over the past 7 years - my dog always returns exhausted and happy. He also seems genuinely excited and happy when he arrives. If that's not an indicator of a great care provider I don't know what is!
Can't imagine taking our dog anywhere else. Dan and all of his employees put so much effort into making Planet Pooch a safe and constructive environment for the dogs. Our dog is always so excited to go in, and it makes taking trips much easier when we know he's having a blast the entire time.
We started with Happy Tails in October and could not be happier. They take such great care of Susie, my dog. She is always so excited to sprint out of the car to daycare. I tried a few other daycares in the area and Happy Tails far exceeds. The caring staff here really make the place as the fact they foster a fun, non-aggressive vibe. You can tell they really care about all the dogs. So happy we found this place!
What a great place! They were very good with my puppy and gave him the hair trim he needed. I didn’t get the groomers name, but she is amazing at what she does. The only place I will be taking my dog from now on.
Happy tails doggy day care been caring for our family dogs for the last 10 years. Our previous dog who passed away used to snuggle with the older pups, she had lots of separation anxiety so I was so grateful Happy tails were able to accommodate her. Our current pup, a super energetic catahoula mix - has been a frequent visitor for overnight stays been going to Happy tails for years and also gets a bath upon pickup.. we are very grateful for a cage free, caring place such as this
Happy Tails is our beloved pooch's home away from home, for daycare a few times a week as well as stays for up to two weeks. Jax is excited every time, gets lots of love and treats from the family & staff, and loves the social, crate-free environment. You should know that this is not "luxury" boarding, it can be noisy, and may not work for super-shy dogs, but I'm so grateful for the love they show our Jax!
My dog always has a good time coming here. I know the staff really cares because everyone at happy tails knows my dog by her name. They even recognizes my car so often when I drive up they start prepping my pup for pick up and when I finish parking, she is already ready to go. They also do a good job with nail grinding, bathing and other grooming services. 10/10 would recommend.
Happy Tails is truly one of the best dog daycare centers in the Bay Area!! My dog and I drive an extra 80 minutes roundtrip from downtown SF to Belmont just for Happy Tails. My dog is beyond loved and well cared for every time we go. He no longer attends regularly - perhaps twice a month - yet they always remember him no matter how much time has passed. The staff are kind, thoughtful, and patient. The prices are incredibly reasonable. My dog has the full day 20 visit package and it’s a great value in comparison to so many other dog daycare services. I highly recommend Happy Tails for your dog’s daycare needs!! Bonus: at Christmas they invite Santa to come visit the dogs!
Love this daycare/boarding for my fur baby. This is my second dog that goes to Happy Tails and I am very happy with the care they provide. My dog gets very excited when we pull up to the door. The staff is very kind and clearly they love dogs! I highly recommend Happy Tails for daycare and overnight care!!
My dogs have been going to Happy Tails for years for day care and overnight boarding. They love it and the people there really care about the dogs. They have large indoor area for the dogs to play and a smaller outdoor space for them to be able get outside. They break up the dogs into groups based on size and age I believe (small dogs with small dogs, big dogs with big). They also do grooming which my dogs also have had dsone there and they do a nice job cleaning up the pups!
This place takes such good care of our girl Dottie. She comes home so tired and happy, I know she's in good hands. They offer nail clips and baths before you pick up (for a fee) so she's all fresh for home. They do open sleeping, grouped by size/energy, so our babies aren't in a cage, just hanging out and snuggling. An overnight attendant stays with them. One thing to note, they're only open for pickup on Sundays from 3-6pm.
I found Happy Tails after Península Pet closed their dogs. I was in a tough situation since Peninsula had looked over my three dogs and now I was lost. We gave it a try and our labradoodle loves it, we are thankful we found them.
Tails up is a super professional, reliable, and well run business. They’ve been taking care of our daily dog walks for 3+ years and send photos/videos updates of your dog each time. My dog always comes back tired and ready for a nap. Thanks Lucy and team!
Lucy is God sent!! I was in the area for an emergency and dogs are not allowed in the ICU but Ms. Lucy came to our rescue. Tails Up Pet Care is professional, provided video updates and was absolutely amazing with Kitty our four month old teacup Yorkie.
While I work 2 days per week in San Francisco, the dog handlers at TailsUp have been taking my pup for group play dates for 2+ years. They adore her and pair her with equally social dogs. She is happy and exercised when I come home, which is a win-win for both of us!
Lucy and Diana continue to be such great help during COVID. They are careful about following proper health protocols and I have never felt at risk with them walking my dogs. Thank you!
Lucy, the owner, and Diana have just been a pleasure to work with in taking care of our little guy, Benji. Benji gets lots of attention and love during his playgroup sessions monday thru friday and we get daily pics of Benji having fun with his doggie friends. Tails up is very professional, responsive and are clear dog lovers. Diana is our main playgroup leader, and she's been trustworthy and reliable, as is Lucy. A pleasure to have them with us for the past 4-5 years.
We have had a great experience with tails up pet care. Our dogs love the daily dog part outings and look forward to it. The service is great and the communication is good with caring people. We have been very satisfied with the service.
Ryan is an absolute gem! My pup is difficult, she doesn’t like other dogs and is very sassy. Ryan has always cared for her with patience and kindness. It’s hard for me to trust anyone else with my dog because Ryan has been so amazing. Also a plus that Ryan is friendly and respectful of the house. My family and I appreciate him so much for taking care of our baby.
Ryan is fantastic! He took great care of my extremely skittish rescue cat with such kindness and skill. I can’t believe how fast they connected. I look forward to having him care for my dog as well. He’s super knowledgeable and clearly loves animals.
Ryan and his wife are the best!! We have left our dog there since she was a little less than a year old. First for daycare and then when we went on vacation, the most recently for a whole month!! Penny always comes home happy, clean and well looked after. We are grateful for Ryan’s diligence and care in looking after our pet and are confident we are leaving her in caring hands. We appreciate his thoughtfulness and he keeps us updated with regular pictures. Thank you Ryan!!
We adore Ryan! Ryan has taken care and walked both our boxer dogs. He is such a genuinely good person. He loves all animals, knows how to train, administer medications and make all animals feel safe. I highly recommend Ryan!
Ryan is amazing! Our 2 year old pup is fairly skittish, weary of men, and a little hyper, but adores Ryan (and his family) and comes home happy and calm from her visits/stays with him. Ryan came highly recommended from a friend and we are so happy to have found him!
Ryan took great care of our cat while we were traveling, feeding her and cleaning the litter box in our house. He was very flexible with the timing based on our preference although it was a long weekend and we scheduled kind of late with him. I ended up asking him another favor from the house work and he kindly admitted to do that too. I highly recommend him!
It's been really wonderful working with Ryan over the last few years. Our dog is very particular, and Ryan does a great job taking care of her. We'd definitely recommend Ryan to anyone who needs a great, reliable walker.
Ryan was great! He made sure to always include pictures and an update so I knew exactly how my cat was doing each day. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving my cat in Ryan's care. Highly recommended!
We had last mins request. Ryan showed up each time on time. It is little tricky to get our dog go for a walk with someone that she is not familiar with but Ryan was able make it work. We highly recommend if you need someone that you can trust to take care your furry kids. Ryan shows me he is very knowledgeable about animals and most of all he has a great heart ♥️
Ryan has been incredibly helpful and takes great care of our elderly cat, Sushi, who can't travel with us when we go to Tahoe. Highly recommend, goes above and beyond with both her and our house.
